Im gonna write this review based on the story with no spoilers. And just to make clear I had no problem with the genders and sexual preferences from the characters in this game as I believe a lot of people are saying that this is the reason they didn't like the game which is complete rubbish. The problem with the story it takes away what you loved about the 1st game and forces you to player as a character you despise so as a player you become dis interested in the 2nd half of the game. The gameplay elements were fun but the story made me rush to completion as I simply became disengaged. There are character choices that are really out of character and I really believe they have killed this franchise. The marketing for the game was very misleading and the developers have the arrogance to think they can emotionally manipulate you with such negativity and then sympathise. I know there were elements like that in the 1st game but it never felt hostile. They cant fix what they have done and the writers at naughty dog seriously need to be reviewed as this story is very amateur. If Bruce Straley was apart of this project we may have got a better story. I really wish this game wasn't made. What a waste. The character Abby can go f herself and so can naughty dog with there **** crunch culture. But well done on delivering your torture porn game if that was your goal

The last of us 1 is one of my favorite games of all time, I seriously can't express how much I didn't want a sequel to it, and how worried I was leading up to TLOU2. After finishing it though, I can safely say I haven't felt this way about a game since last of us 1.

The gameplay improvements at first seem rather small but each new addition builds on the last games mechanics in surprising and fun ways. Probably the biggest improvement over the first game is the level design, levels are much bigger with multiple ways to clear most areas and so much thought and detail had been put into the environment. The graphics and sound design are astounding.

The story isn't quite as good as the first games (near perfect) story, but it is still such an amazing, rich, beautiful character driven story, and the fact that people are calling this game sad and depressing is genuinely shocking to me. Yes this game is dark at times but the struggle between the light and dark within both it's characters and plot is what makes this game so compelling.

That philosophy has worked with other games (Spec Ops The Line, God Of War, Red Dead Redemption) but with TLOU2 it's storytelling is so shallow it comes off as pretentious nonsense. Characters from the original game are made villainous for a cheap ploy to encourage fans to like new characters with less depth. The plot creates numerous plot holes to create scenes and move things along in some of the laziest writing in a game. The ending will leave a bad taste in your mouth like a microwave dinner that was made with no love or passion.

While the gameplay is repetitive the graphics are phenomenal. Still, there is no amount of polish that can save a story driven game that hates it's audience and wants to push terrible storylines with unappealing characters.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Story is actually really good, except for some pacing issues. I first disliked Abby, but I came to like her over the course of the game. Most people who criticize the game dislike how Joel died, because they think he is the hero of the first game, but those people never understood the first game. Joel isn’t supposed to be a beloved hero, he is at best morally gray and at worst a sympathetic villain who doomed humanity out of him being selfish. Obviously nobody’s right in the game, but if I had to choose I would say it’s Abby, because Joel needlessly murdered her father, who wasn’t really a threat to him, because Joel could have just knocked him out. That’s not to say I hat Joel, but people who think that they destroyed characters from the first game and that Joel is a hero, don’t even understand the story or characters from the first game. Besides people who think Elli should have killed Abby, probably also think that Luke should have killed Vader in "Return if the Jedi" ! Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I managed to avoid the spoilers, and I intentionally avoided all the trailers, except 'e3 reveal' one. I enjoyed 'Part 2' as a game, but as a sequel to 'the last of us' I did not.

First strike was when Tommy, in the middle of the fight, from nowhere decided to be a gentleman and introduced himself and his brother – a person with a secret so horrible, that Tommy swore to took this secret to his grave. And, quite possibly, person with a price on his head, after all he had done. And after that decided to go in a room with bunch of unknown, heavily armed people with no precautions. That for me felt very out of character.

Second strike was for the way Abby killed the man, who just saved her life. I have no problem with the fact that she kills him. Just the way it happens for me paints her as complete psycho and irredeemable person.

And third strike for me where all those cheap, in-your-face attempts to show Abby and her friends as good, intelligent, compassionate people. Here's Abby saves a zebra, here's Abby reads a book, here's Abby feels ashamed that her friend cuts the queue, here's Abby plays with a dog, here's Abby saves kids even tho they are an enemies and so on.. Abby's part was tooooo long. I was done with it before 'day 1' ended. And from that point I just stopped caring about what is happening with Abby storywise. It just felt like completely different game, that I was forced to play for some reason.

The last part and the end were quite emotional, and I understand what ND tried to do, but it just did not work for me because of all the reasons above.

And it's just sad and upsetting. Because flashbacks with Joel was great, especially the museum one and final one. Because I see all this incomprehensible amount of work that was put in this game! Visually it looks stunning. Hands down the best looking game at this moment. Acting and mocap are top notch. Game play is solid. Sound and music is great. Years of work. You have all components needed to make another masterpiece. And in result all I feel is confusion and disappointment.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is a really powerful game, I’m currently on my second play through which I recommend. This is also the first time I have ever cried during a game, I have never been so invested in characters like this.

When I first played the game I disliked Abby in the beginning but then I took a moment and realised in this universe I would have done the same if someone had murdered my dad. She is parallel with Ellie in her hunt for revenge. These are both women going after a person who has murdered their dad/father figure. These characters are neither good nor bad but this is also due to the circumstances of their environment. You can love Joel and Ellie and still like Abby, it is not one or the other. It’s important to take a moment to put yourself in the characters shoes, why are they taking this steps, what has happened to them? These are characters full of trauma. Ellie and Abby have been raised where brutal violence is the norm, if anything necessary to survive. Playing this game, my main hope was for this cycle of violence to be broken and that’s what makes it so heartbreaking, at the end we are left with two people who are shells of themselves, completely broken. Honestly I could go on and on. Best game I’ve ever played. Gameplay and visuals, everything was superb.

New enemies did not add any new interesting challenges, besides the dogs perhaps, but they were still quite easy to avoid (the game also forces the player to kill a dog in a quick time event, even though it marketed itself as a game that does not require killing dogs. The story did not appeal to me either, many of the new cast were not well developed, nor did their decisions make any sense (one of the most ridiculous things in the game is a pregnant lady putting herself in unnecessarily dangerous situations). This game is getting an amount of hate that I find shocking and absurd. The gameplay has improved (in my opinion) with more items to craft and more skills to be learnt, and the graphics are stunning. The enemies are now stronger and harder to kill too, which adds appropriate tension and excitement for a survival game, as well as dread; there's also a bigger variety of infected, with more stalkers making an appearance as well shamblers.

The thing people are getting mad about is Joel's death, which I understand because it was brutal and heart-wrenching. However, considering he killed over 100 people in just the first game which spanned over the course of a year, imagine how many more he killed in the remaining 20 years since the day the infection broke out... It's really awful to say but it was only a matter of time before someone tracked him down and killed him, and whilst it would be nice if he died defending Ellie, he was not a good man, and at some point those deaths he caused would come back around to bite him in the ass. Nothing is fair or nice in a post-apocalyptic world. So, yes his death was brutal and heartbreaking, but in a lawless world where it's kill or be killed, eventually if you keep racking up enemies you're gonna be on the receiving end of that stick. No reason to hate on a game and its developers just because your favourite character died. It's the apocalypse, **** happens and no one's ever safe.

Another thing people got butthurt over is Ellie being gay. I won't go off on a tangent on that because that's stupid, if you're gonna refuse to play a brilliant videogame just because there's a gay couple in it you need to pull your head out of your ass and grow up. If it was a guy and a girl you'd have no problem so I don't see why it's "pushing an agenda" to have two girls dating in a videogame.

As for the story, I found it masterful. We were initially presented with Abby, a character who we instantly hated because of her abuse of a golf club. I hated her too and couldn't wait to kill her, until I played as her and got to see her story; got to see her as a human who is more than just a villain, and I became attached to her and Lev. I think the game did a brilliant job of showing how quick we are to demonise someone who wrongs us even though we've only seen one side of the story. It makes me wonder what it would have been like if in the first game, rather than living the story of a man travelling with a girl across America and then changing his mind about delivering her, we had lived the story of a girl who found her dad (and countless colleagues) dead at the hands of a man who wasn't willing to give up the life of a girl for the sake of all of humanity. Would we have hated Joel and Ellie as we hated Abby? Would we have relished when Abby found and finally killed Joel? Everything is about perspective, and both Abby and Ellie are heroes in their own stories and villains in each others' for equally valid reasons. They both lost family and friends to the other but thankfully they both came out alive; it's just unfortunate that Ellie was consumed by her obsession with revenge. It was unexpected and sad, but then again the Cordyceps brain infection outbreak was also unexpected and quite horrific. Again, it's the apocalypse and **** happens.

Overall, I've waited 7 years for this, and I'm absolutely not disappointed, thank you Naughty Dog for making yet again such a fantastic game.

to be honest the graphics and the gameplay was like the first one.. amazing but the fact that they sell me this game like if I could play with joel angry me a lot!! i'm very confused right now, is this false advertising?

how could you ruined one of the best game of the ps3 era! there's no point to kill joel so early in the game because he was the main character of the first one and the one I care about I don't give a **** about abby, second omg the finale!! is just a disappointment i can't stand this piece if **** I just wanted to kill abby that ****ing character and revenge Joel.. Guys if this game was about revenge you game fail miserably. The third thing is how stupid Joel and his Brother were in the raid incident omg in the first game joel was more careful sharing information this is so stupid! and how he died is a brutality!

Finally, 7 seven ****ing years i wait for this to come out only for get tricky and not to have the game that i thought could have, all this second part is a slap in the face for fans and a disrespect for the first one. Who thought this was a good idea in the first place omg this game is pathetic is a shallow of the first one it's a mess!

What an amazing video game. The game play, the graphics, and even the story. I know some do not agree with the story and thats fine, i do not agree with everything, and to be honest thats fine! You can tell how much care, detail, and time was put in by the developers of this game. Games like this are the pinnacle of the video game medium and make me happy to be a gamer.

I will give this game one point for the good graphics and that´s basically it. The way the story unfolded was really an utter disappointment. Why would you kill of the main character and force the players to play for hours with his killer? I mean this is a clear cut F** Y*** to the face of every player who actually LOVED this series.

While it's a great game on its own I do hate a few choices they made. Graphics are incredible, and game play is much better than the first one. However what stops it from being a perfect game of me was how little we got to play as Ellie. I don't think it seeks to please everyone either, it simply seeks to exist and generate a conversación. The work on the characters, their variants and how they evolve in the story is brilliant, Nothing is what it seems and everything has a reason. It does not hurt to talk about its technical features which are very well done and with a lot of detail. The gameplay is quite advanced and the game itself is fun. For me, the bad thing would definitely be AI system and the stealth system, I think they could be more realistic. In addition to that, the way of the game of getting from a place to the othe is very complicated, some places are just there to get lost, but you might consider that it gives a realistic touch to the context where the story unfolds. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I don't know when they thought it would be an innovative idea to play with your favorite character's psychopath to force you to empathize. It's literally IMPOSSIBLE.

Joel is the best TLOU character and the one who made the game successful. is the most human and her decision is the decision we would all have made. I'm sick of reading that Joel has "condemned the world." Oh God, who are you condemning? Those psychopaths who were going to experiment with Ellie to open their heads and lie about the cure? There was no cure!
In the game, through memories and Ellie's perspective they try to tell you that Joel was selfish and mean, which is a complete madness of the creatives. In addition to constantly seeing Ellie get angry with Joel without having the slightest meaning. You were going to be a monkey on an experiment table, there was no cure! What's the intention here? Because let me say no. I repeat: there was no cure. They make it clear to you in the files you find in the O.R. So I understand they're staining Joel's legacy, because whoever makes the difference, it's not Ellie, it's Joel

By far the idea of forcing the player to drive abby after what he did is crazy. You've reduced TLOU's legacy to Kill Bill+shock with Netflix kisses. The backbone of pandemic, the cure and the themes of desolation, mistrust, Ellie's impulsiveness against Joel's cold distrust has disappeared, as well as the cheap way to conspire against a character who already has a life and study made to make us believe that he would be killed in such a stupid situation: "Hello, my name is Joel" "because we kill you". Joel has killer instinct, before anyone goes after him smells like miles, he would never show up or trust to break into the house of such a group of strangers. And they don't know his face either, are they killing everyone named Joel? How many Joel will there be in the world of tlou? It's by far rocky, screenwriter's whim. There are a series of crazy situations going to smoke bulls in a lost house in the middle of nowhere and a blizzard in the venia and just after they show joel's murder. I don't know what the hell's happened to Neil these years, but I don't recognize the characters, this isn't a good job. It's their game, they did, that they do whatever they want with that story but the consumer is the one who pays and has every right to criticize him for what it is, because in the end there is no VENGANZA. Ellie initiates a hunt against 1000,567,890 and a million innocent people to find her father's torturer who is a psychopath, and in the end she regrets the stupid, unworthy message that "revenge gets nothing" He couldn't think of it before killing all those thousand people? And Ellie would really regret if Ellie in the original game didn't hesitate to blow anyone's head off. The Ellie I know would not have hesitated to murder Abby's PSYCHOpath who killed her father. So the idea at that point is not only wrong, it invalidates the whole game. Besides that by the way Joel is eliminated it seems to have some kind of hatred or prejudice against him, I don't understand that cruelty on the part of the studio and force the player to then handle his killer, because we're not going to empathize with her NEVER that way. . You guys are crazy, but you've been geniuses far surpassing the last season of Game of Thrones. This game will be remembered forever as TLOU's infamous legacy. Too bad, actually. It's psychologically unnecessary and cruel wear and tear.

The world feels much more open and natural, you don’t clearly see the only way you can exit an area to progress and areas aren’t little boxed in segments like the first game. However the story was severely lacking and as someone who adored the first game I couldn’t be more disappointed. Traits and behaviours of characters that we already know are either suspended in order to further the plot, or they’re changed until the characters are barely even likeable. The trailer was heavily misleading by suggesting that Ellie was the predominant character in the game when you spend half the game playing as someone else. Instead of getting you attached to characters and grow a bond with them, which was done in the first one with Tess, Bill, Henry and Sam, where they all felt like real people that Joel and Ellie had connections with. This game gives you characters just to torture them or kill them without even addressing it and as this is done from the start it means as you meet new people you don’t even bother getting attached because you already know the outcome or you expect they’ll be dismissed just as easily. The inclusion of LGBT+ characters, as well as strong female characters that aren’t stereotypically feminine, was refreshing and would have been done well had the plot not made you negatively view a lot of characters or situations. The first half seemed bearable albeit extremely slow, a lot of exploring and looting with little character interaction similar to the first one or any interesting plot development. In the first game each area had a ally or enemy to focus on that made it memorable and stopped any areas feeling like they were dragging, part 2 massively lacks that and while you’re next to people in a lot of the game it feels very lacklustre.

The second half of the game was almost unbearable, to the point as someone who loved the first game I was bored and I was tired and I was upset. I finished this game wishing it wasn’t made, it was just a 25 hour game where you didn’t get to spend time with people you actually liked, and when you were finally Ellie related again you regretted it. Instead of making a game about revenge that included meaningful connections, new allies, and a more in-depth look into this version of a dystopian society, what we got instead was a game that took away anything that motivated the player to continue, and stripped them of anyone they could grow to like or enjoy as a character and instead left me feeling utterly done with the series and so distraught over the game that I don’t understand why they made it at all because they clearly don’t care about the fans or the experience for them.

    - why is forced diversity bad for video games - what are game outlets willing to do for access - how trustworthy are “official” reviews This game takes all of the parts from the first game which were boring but needed and expanded on them in a massive way . The human to human combat was the least interesting and most annoying part of lou1 but if you followed the story you understood that it was needed. And during the play session as Ellie it was created in an interesting way .. in lou2 the combat is almost always the same old human to human combat which wears boring pretty soon and is rather something that is endured than enjoyed. The whole “us against zombies” Is pretty much gone to a tiny bit of the game ..

The story is “weak” as in I understand what they wanted to convey, but they clearly missed the mark and made the same mistake as Dr Who season 13 made .. way too many people are brought into the spotlight leaving none with enough time to be developed . Naughty dog should have concentrated on Ellie and Abby and left the others in side notes .. it does and did not work to make the player care for all those brief encounters and stories . And it never will since you need a complete game to be able to relate to a character and some games do not even manage this.. it’s about 8-10 hours game and 10-16 joyless dragging narration you basically care less and less since the protagonists will die anyway .. Moral choice, you have none . Kill them all in the end is not in any shape form and way a “moral choice”.. if you force a character to slaughter its way through the game you can’t call the character out on this . No choice is not a moral choice option. Yea yea environment is beautifull and nice but so was lou1 . No extra points from me here . Cohesion: the single stories are patched together pretty loosely and by character decisions that would not even fly in trainspotting when a character was heavily drugged . That’s not how humans work.. none of it . And so it takes away immersion and creates a disconnect between what’s happening in the game and the player . The suspension of disbelief doesn’t work here .. All in all .. same issue with mass effect andromeda .. on “ok” game as long as you haven’t played the parts before .. the. It’s a simple miss. Naughty dog tried and did not succeed, bringing this idea to life . Try it on sale or as a used copy if you did not play Last of Us 1 .. and if you did play Last of us 1 and enjoyed it, please save yourself the frustration and disappointment. It is not worth it .

Having to play as the character responsible and trying to make her story sympathetic just wasn't going to work. Maybe if the original Last of US didn't exist and we just got Joel's story in flashbacks it could have worked. We were already connected to those characters and thought we were continuing their story. There was no justification they could give me that would allow me to like this other character after she did what she did. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game is genuinely incredible. I love how not only the main story revolves around revenge, but many of the letters and the environments you find seem to indicate that revenge and payback have destroyed this city on every level. I get it that some people are mad because of Joel's death and the change in protagonist, but not only were these things necessary to tell this story, but they made it so much better.
The Last of Us has been my favorite game since I first played it on the release day, over the years I grew attached to Joel and Ellie and I was definitely afraid of what was going to happen to them in this game. When Joel died I was absolutely shocked, not only by the idea of Joel dying but by how violent it was.

When Ellie and Dina were riding their horse to Seattle they had a very interesting conversation, they were trying to guess why someone could've possibly had the reason to do that, and they don't really get anywhere. Just in the first game, Joel not only killed hundreds of people, but he killed in ways just as bad as they killed him, let's remember how he also tortured people before killing them in the first game. And that's just what we played, he himself said that he did much worse when he was surviving with Tommy.

Now, about the structure of the game in general. This game isn't really interested in telling a story from only one point of view how the first one was, in the original you only had one point of view, and that was Joel's, that's basically what makes the ending so ambiguous and heartbreaking, you know the truth, you know Joel did that for himself, Ellie wasn't a part of that decision. In Part 2 we have Ellie and Abby's perspectives, and while I was incredibly pissed at Joel's death, after "Seattle Day 1" with Abby I got less pissed and more interested in how they were going to not only make me care about Abby but also how they were gonna show Ellie as the villain in the same way they did with Abby. While the placement and length (and the previous game, obviously) of Ellie's campaign makes it so that she is kinda the major protagonist, I think Naughty Dog did an amazing job with Abby's side of the story.

I've seen some people saying that they should've intertwined the two sections in a more natural way I feel like that would've made each of their stories less impactful. Throughout all of Ellie's story you have a very clear goal, take revenge on the people who killed Joel, and even when Ellie does some horrible things because of that goal, deep inside I still wanted that revenge. The cliffhanger in the middle of the game made me desperate for Ellie to redeem herself of all the violence she took part in, especially because of how much that was clearly impacting her mental health. Ellie made a very quick decision in pursuing Joel's killers and don't think she thought it through as much as she should, but at the same time, she was in grief, angry at what happened and later you find out she was also angry at herself for how she left things with Joel.

Abby's revenge, on the other side, was much more meticulous, she clearly had a plan and executed it in the way she wanted to. You can see how much that was a toll on her friends tho, they were there to support her, just like Dina was there for Ellie, but both sets of supporting characters weren't completely on board with the way things were done. By having us play her section after we played Ellie's story, Naughty Dog forces us to not only think about what we did as Ellie, but also hope that they can leave their acts of revenge aside because of how much misery they brought on everyone directly involved and everyone that ended up caught in the crossfire.

This game isn't so interested in showing how Ellie grows because of Joel's death, actually, she doesn't grow at all because of that, she only becomes angrier and angrier to a point where she is barely recognizable. While some people have said that this is a betrayal of the character, I feel like that is much more a result of the incredible violence she was forced to watch. Ellie is traumatized and expecting her to be the same jolly hopeful girl she was in the first game is absurd, of course she was angry, of course she wasn't thinking straight. I mean, so many people didn't like this game because all they wanted was a revenge story where Ellie killed everyone and that's it, without ever having to think about the consequences of what she did. That would've been an incredibly shallow game and feel like it would be a complete disrespect of how complex these characters are, by giving Ellie such a sudden change in personality, the impact of the ending is greatly elevated. In the end, Ellie finally has the chance to grow and deal with the trauma that haunts her throughout the game. Only by breaking the cycle of violence that Joel started can she move on from her loss.

Also if you didn't like the game because of it being too "politicized", you can go to hell.

What is a story driven game without story ? This is the definition of The Last Of Us Part II, a disappointment and a frustation, thats all I have to say.

Thank you to the Naughty Dog team for all the passion and hard work that obviously went into this game. You people deserve all the accolades.

I'll be blunt. If you are hating on this game without playing it, you are either (a) a fool or (b) a bigot. There's no help for bigots (and the 'politics' in this game are utterly minor and beside the point), but if you don't want to be a fool:

You need to realize you can't judge this story by reading leaked spoilers or watching it on Youtube. You can't. You are getting the most

You need to realize you can't judge this story by reading leaked spoilers or watching it on Youtube. You can't. You are getting the most superficial understanding of what happens in this game. It's an interactive experience. The whole *point* is you are going to play as these characters. And as you do, you develop a much richer understanding of who they are, their motivations, what happens to them and what you do as them. You feel things that, in my opinion, no other game has ever succeeded in making people feel. It's an astonishing accomplishment and a masterpiece of the gaming medium. It also happens to be fun as hell.

If you skip it, you are just missing out on something incredible. For sad, stupid reasons most likely.

I love all the characters - Joel, Ellie and...yes...even Abby. That's the magic of this game.

Almost 70% of the game is spent with a new character only to empathize with that character, but also the game with that character becomes very repetitive.
The first was the best I played, but this 2 I regret I bought it out, this game is for about 30 dollars or less ... wait for the sales.

It is actually a good game, it has a lot of hate when it is actually good. Also there’s a lot of people that gives bad rating without even playing the game. Also there’s a lot of people that hate the game because of the storyline that I understand it but I don’t think that because of that it is a 1/10.

My honest thoughts are that TLOU2 is a fine game in its own right. If I was judging it solely based on its gameplay, visuals and sound designs, I’d probably give it a 7/10 or 8/10. But not only is it a terrible sequel by (literally) spitting on everything established in the first game in order to form its own narrative, but is a plothole-ridden mess that’s subversive for the sake of subversiveness and has a hypocritical message that leaves you with nothing more than an ultimately unsatisfying ending. I’d even be fine with Abby if she was actually a great and well-written character, but she’s not. I don’t hate her because of a certain thing she does at the beginning of the game, but because the game tries so hard to force you to care for her despite being an an irredeemable psychopath who makes idiotic decisions and literally gets euphoria from killing people. Joel wasn’t the most likable character out there, I’ll admit, but I could at least still sympathize and empathize with him due to what he’s lost. Abby on the other hand is nothing more than a selfish brat who’s backstory is only partially explored in flashbacks and nothing more. To put the cherry atop the inedible ice cream, you play as her for half the game, and so you’re stuck with this character you just want nothing to do with for a good portion of its 25-hour runtime. So since since it’s a story-based game and the story is awful, I can’t give it anything above a 4/10. As a huge fan of the first game and one that has it as one of my all-time favorite games, disappointment can’t even begin to describe what I feel right now. I honestly just wish Naughty Dog didn’t make a sequel in the first place, especially since TLOU didn’t even really need one, and this along with their workplace crunch and misleading marketing of the game have definitely put me off of purchasing any of their products in the future. Quitando todo el hate que le han dado me parece una buena historia con un buen mensaje de fondo, la venganza nunca termina bien para nadie..

What a shame to see. A truly awful story that completely dismantles the beloved characters and masterful plot of the first game and forces every Globalist agenda down your throat. Graphics is beautiful, the gameplay is one of the best, it's really enjoyable to play. The story is heavy but it's really good, and meaningful, those who hate it probably doesn't understand it. The main story's message is that nothing is black or white, you should see both sides of the coin. And that revenge and hatered destroy lives, unless you break the circle. The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
