Почему не могли сделать нормальную внешность хотя-бы ей, что уж там о подружки Элии -Дины, я требую сделать ремейк второй части, с изменением сюжета. В общем, ставлю игре 4 балла за механику, 3 балла за графику, +1 балл за кровопотливое старание разработчиков.    … Expand

    Right away I have to say that if you are not going to play this game because of the plot leaks or the low user score that the game has on metacritic you are doing yourself a disservice. Also, the same goes for if you quit playing within the first few hours of the game due to what happens to one of the main characters. Or they've been twisted because of someone's bias and are far different onscreen than what people have written about them or talked about in a YouTube video.

    Unfortunately, so many people are missing out on playing the sequel or posting a review on here without even playing the game because of these things. That being said the game is incredible and in some ways even better than the original. The graphics, environments, level design, music, pacing, combat, and UI are all some of the best of this console generation. Now for the part that everyone seems to be complaining about and why they're review bombing every single user review site.

    The storyline and new characters introduced in this game are amazing. The first Last of Us is one of my all-time favorite video games, if not my favorite, and I've beaten it multiple times. I never expected this game to meet the bar that the first game set but somehow it did. I do not want to post any spoilers but I will say that the game is directly tied to the decision that Joel makes at the end of the first game. For some reason, it appears that many people forget that the decision he made to kill multiple Fireflies in order to save Ellie was morally ambiguous. Joel's decision to save one life over the lives of the Fireflies and potentially hundreds if not thousands of people that would have been saved because of a cure for the virus was not a black and white ending. Joel and Ellie were not and are not in the sequel morally-pure characters. It's what makes them good characters and not stereotypes of ones usually represented in stories about zombies or virus outbreaks.

    That is exactly where the sequel picks up. Joel has to wrestle with the consequences that he faces for this decision and how it will affect everyone around him especially Ellie. The narrative in this game is told out of order as the player weaves through multiple playable characters' storylines. What makes this game's truly incredible and unique though is how it shows the side of the antagonists. We get to see how Joel and Ellie's oftentimes extremely violent actions impact the lives of the people they kill as well as their family and friends. I don't want to say much more than that due to potentially stating any spoilers. If you've heard spoilers or rumored plot points give the game a fair chance. You can't truly experience a game until you've played it. If you've managed to avoid all spoilers then go in with an open mind. I highly doubt that you won't enjoy it in some way.

    Naughty Dog has done the impossible. Each game in their history has continually raised their bar for their ability to tell outstanding stories through the medium of video games. They've learned from their previous games and created one of the most highly polished games of this console generation and all time. Don't miss out on experiencing it.    … Expand

I honestly believe people who are frustrated with this game want to be pampered by developers. They want a game where all choices make them comfortable.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game has several narrative problems! The event surrounding Joel's death created a bizarre and very poorly crafted storyline. Firstly, because Joel is slaughtered by Abby and her group doesn't kill Tommy and Ellie, knowing that there was a clear possibility that they would want revenge? Since when are they good enough to keep someone out of their group alive? Look at the colossal size of this Deux ex machina in a post-apocalyptic world and CRUEL to CREATE a plot in a forced and stupid way, only blind does not see, I'm sorry, a game focused on history with a hole the size of a crater in the same script this is a shame. Everything that happens after this event is a mountain down, although the game remains in the name of the character that we all like, Ellie, the story creeps into an immense void during her gameplay, with silly confrontations, collection of supplies, infected here and there, blablabla, for later on the part of $ @ # $ # abby you have the best moments of escape, combat and gameplay, and I DEFINITELY did not want to play with this character. The charisma or understanding of this character's "side" was a FAIL in its entirety. Abby has no charisma and had no chance of being able to, she killed the favorite character of many and this is unforgivable, I have no remorse for a mastodon who was the daughter of a doctor who wanted to kill Ellie in the name of a cure that nobody knows if there was going to be.
    The last point is the end of the story, the part with Ellie is excellent and the exploration of that new coastal area is very cool, a different and new air, but damn, when the story ends I think "you went so far, you killed people I **** **** a lot of people to punch and let that slut get away? ", then I say, there is no way a tlou 1 fan can accept this story, even though people like you liked it, but I'm sorry, no give, it's a feeling of hatred for the plot and whoever planned it, because revenge should be completed, this world does not forgive FOR FOOD and silly reasons, will you forgive for killing someone so important? It's like Chris arriving at the end of Resident evil 5 and saying to the wesker "pow, I'm not going to kill you, you are cool"!
    You have a lot of fun gameplay moments, but I'm not going to support these political causes and other idiocies that neil druckmann is trying to impose on people through this game, so my grade is 0, it's a protest grade.    … Expand

Nerfed and killed my favorite gaming character of all time (and it’s not that he died, it’s how he died; because of his own stupidity that went against his character). Then I’m forced to play as someone I hated and wouldn’t have paid money to play as, had I known before. I spent an hour in the fight scene walking out and letting Ellie kill me over and over because I hated Abby. Motivations are stupid for main characters. Garbage and waste of money.… Expand

    Falls short of being a masterpiece due to it massively outstaying it's welcome by introducing you to and trying to get you to care about a new character as much as you do Ellie, and then fails to find a satisfying way to wrap everything up and make sense of it all. There's an absolutely fantastic game in here though. Environments and combat are much improved from the first game.     Игра бесподобна в плане визуальном но сильно проигрывает сценарием в сравнении с первой частью . За время прохождения (особенно второй половины) не покидало ощущение того ,что сюжет игры писал творчески усталый или выдыхщийся человек . Оно отчасти и понятно сам Нил водном из интервью после выхода первой части    Игру очень ждал ,сразу после state of play сделал пред заказ и купил пс4 .

    Досадно что naugthy dog прибегли к банальному о открытому обману (я про трейлер state of play) .

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. When it comes to the actual experience of the game. It’s second to none. Amazing graphics and animations, superb mechanics, etc.
    But when it comes to the storytelling, the writers have really dropped the ball on this one. I think they forgot what made us love the last of us. We loved the first game because it told a story of two lost individuals trying to survive and the journey that we went with them to finally witness that father-daughter bond that was so unique and yet so heartwarming.
    By making us play with the main antagonist for several hours certainly didn’t help. Abby isn’t a likable character but that isn’t the problem, the problem is that the game tried to force us to like Abby by drawing parallels to Ellie and by sympathizing with Abby cause.
    Another issue is the way that Joel was killed wasn’t the proper way to kill the main protagonist in the first game. (Btw I’m glad they didn’t do a happy ending to him otherwise it would be too boring and predictable)
    There are many examples to how to kill off a main character in other movies, games, etc. and I think most of them are better than we saw in the game.
    Beating Joel to death with barely any resistance at all is unlike Joel (the guy who fought through the world in the first game). Another issue is with Dina.
    Dina’s personality seems perfect for Ellie as the supporter of a vengeful bit#h lol.
    Yet the chemistry between both of them is off. Dina just doesn’t seem like the right one for Ellie and that becomes more apparent as you progress through the game. Dina is a tough, peaceful family woman.
    Yet Ellie is a warrior who fought through a lot of trauma just to survive. I really hope that Ellie’s soulmate can be someone that truly understands what Ellie has been through since she was born.
    I’m sure there are a lot of problems with the game that I didn’t touch on and I apologize for this being more of a rant lol but this shows how much I was disappointed.
    To conclude, I honestly do not trust naughty dog with a third game. A dlc would be fine just to tie the loose ends and not ruin the game more for me    … Expand

    The story not only sets some sort of weird agenda but is written as if the twilight author was drunk and had taken way too many drugs.

    great game for 30 minutes.

The game uses cheap, artificial, manipulative story mechanics, instead of intelligent or thoughtful characterisation, to garner sympathy for Abby. For example when playing as Ellie, you are FORCED to: (1) kill dogs (2) murder screaming wailing people, whose loved ones mourn and cry in terror (making you feel bad about killing them) (3) murder a pregnant woman Whereas when you are playing as Abby, you are FORCED to (1) play and have fun with dogs (2) defend yourself against evil scary transphobic jungle people (3) save kids People who enjoy the story are confusing SKILFUL DIRECTION with CHEAP MANIPULATION. People seem to be forgetting the Abby is a fundamentally EVIL, IMMORAL character that doesn't deserve sympathy In Ellie's darkest moments, she: (1) attacks a woman who, aside from being involved in her fathers death, also further titillates and aggravates Ellie by saying Joel died like a little **** Reacting with rage and impetus, she beats the woman up with a metal pipe. However, Ellie is visibly traumatised and shaken by the event, she comes back and is clearly distressed and troubled (2) kills a woman who she later finds out is pregnant. When finding out, Ellie's hearing fades, she collapses and starts hyperventilating; clearly disturbed, remorseful and regretful In Abby's darkest moments, she: (1) shoots an old man in the knee, who just previously saved her life and was completely friendly and warm to her. She proceeds to take VISCERAL PLEASURE in beating him with a golf club, torturing him for so long that she eventually she grows exhausted and needs to remove her jumper. She delivers the killing blow right in front of a screaming girl who begs for his life (2) smashes a girls face, and upon finding out that the girl is pregnant, Abby takes immense PLEASURE AND SATISFACTION at the prospect of slitting her throat. Both girls enact their darkest moments under the impetus of revenge, but it is clear which character takes pleasure in the idea of inflicting pain. Once you understand this, any meaning the story holds completely withers away. TLOU2 is not a satisfying or entertaining story experience, nor is it a story that even needed to be told, given how many other movies, games, books, TV shows have conveyed the consequences of revenge theme better.… Expand

The story was a massive downgrade from the first game and having to play as Abby for like 12 hours was significantly less fun then playing as Ellie. When the first Seattle Day 3 ends the game takes such a dive. The combat however was really good throughout the game. The ending was a cop out as well. Overall I had fun playing it but the story leaves you feeling like you did a lot from nothing. Which is why my score is a 4. It was a lot of fun until it wasn't.… Expand

    Fantastic game. It doesn’t necessarily give you what you want, but what is right and realistic; karma; feelings; shivers; character development; real, lovable characters you care about. The scenery and animation is beautiful, and the motion capture is so impressive I’m out of words. I trust in naughty dog with all my heart in this game. I wouldn’t have it any other way. You should play it.Fantastic game. It doesn’t necessarily give you what you want, but what is right and realistic; karma; feelings; shivers; character development; real, lovable characters you care about. Then the core of TLOU2 is "What do people get through vengeance". I love the ending of TLOU2, especially the guitar scene. That emptiness.… Expand

But as a continued playing, I got more and more interested in seeing how it would play out. I was never rooting for Abby to win, but I began to understand why she was doing what she was doing.     Un juego increíble, que logra transmitirte cada sensación de la historia, un gameplay impresionante, realista y viceral. Entiendo el porqué alguna gente está molesta con la historia; sin embargo no estoy de acuerdo con ello, es una historia que te muestra los dos puntos de referencia y te hace empatizar con ello. I’ve only and I can’t stress enough on ONLY given this game a three star review and that is pushing it like genuine review probably 4.5 - 5 out of 10 and that is solely based on the parts where you play as Ellie, and the gameplay as a whole because if you liked/loved TLOU the gameplay is more or less the same and being a guitar fan I do like the little snippets of Ellie’s new talent being put on show, but that is where the good in this game ends completely, but I’ll explain.

    I felt lied to from the trailers and overwhelming disappointed in the direction they chose for this game, I absolutely hate and I mean actually hate the character Abby and wanted nothing more than to stop her from breathing in the game I don’t give a rats arse about her backstory, maybe if she was in the first game and it was about her, but no, she is the invader and she is a psychopathic monster that I just wanted the closure of killing her to end that game, but even if I did get that when finishing the game there is absolutely nothing as a reward, Ellie this character that we have grown to love has been dragged through the mud and made to be some mental case and is ultimately left with nothing, “congratulations for finishing the game all that’s left is for the main character to kill herself because why not” they couldn’t of destroyed what was a masterpiece of a story more if they tried (wait no they could make you play as Abby for longer that would do it) first thing I did when I was forced to play as this terrible character is run to the first point where I was able to get killed, I no lo her cared about getting caught by enemy’s or detected by infected I just ran straight in, I mean I wasn’t getting any satisfaction from the game I might aswell get it from watching the character i just wanted to die from the start die over and over again. This game was about as enjoyable as bowel cancer... if you make a part III please just use it to erase the abortion of a game this was by making it all a horrible dream. I wondered, are the writers just trying to make this girl the most unlikeable protagonist ever? Then when I saw how they were presenting the new protagonist and how it seemed she was the real hero (and Ellie the real villian) which made sense to me, but I still didn't like it. Nevertheless, I wanted to finish and I have to say honestly, I do not regret it. I believe the game really picks up after the half way point and things just become more interesting for me. At the end of the story I shed tears for everything that had happened, and all the consequences. This is not the greatest game ever, and I don't think it's better than the first, but it is worthy... This is by no means a happy story. Still, if you played the first, you don't HAVE to play this one...… Expand

However this game story is trash compared to the first. Petty revenge story? back and forth back and forth with nothing to gain. Just emptiness, I'm a husk of a man now after playing this. I guess the director have achieve his mission to get everybody attention, time and money but to what cost?

    If Naughty Dog firstly make TLOU part 1.5 that can tell "other protagonist" story in depth so that we can love them maybe TLOU part 2 can be pass as well rounded story. But you hardly know the character with a just 10 hours of gameplay?? or actually less then that if you just count characters interaction.     which some of the developers were forced crunch to hell and be hospitalised for this result to be achieved.
    Graphics means nothing to me but it does for a lot of people and it is clear TLOU2 is pushing
    the harware of the ps4 to its maximum. So I give 2 points for the graphics, the artistic direction though, is quasi non existent, and consist of ruins with overgrown vegetations, nothing special about it. Other games like Crysis 3 ,FF7 remake,Metro have the same type of post apocalyptic feels but with a real direction,unlike Naughty Dog games who are technical marvel but dont have a "soul".

    I give 1 point for the gameplay, it doesnt improve much compared to the previous one but it does a good job so here you go.

    Sadly TLOU2 is a story driven game, and if the story is uninteresting or just bad, it ruin the rest of the game. In this case, despite some ok moments like the flashback of Ellie's birthday, which almost re-create the magic of the first one for a brief moment, the rest is just uninteresting ,needlessly cruel and violent ,close to misery-porn sometimes, and even if some of the (really forced) things they tried to do might sounds as original to some people (why not ?) it seems the creator of the game even failed at that.
    The game was also falsy advertised with a certain emphasis on Joel, the favourite and beloved character of the fans, only to be modified in game (Im talking about two specific bits shown in the trailers).

    SPOILERS:
    The writers of the game decided to kill Joel and makes us play as his killer, Abby, whom we know nothing about.
    Later the devs try really hard to makes us have empathy for her and like her,but not only
    it is too late, but it's also very badly done and very on the nose, this trick reallly didnt work for a majority of people and Abby is now one of the most hated VG characters ever. I would say this is a failure.

    Another problem is the total lack of empathy Abby does have, her facial expressions, despite the mindblowing graphics of the game, are very bland and unexpressive, she is uncanny, and the things she says are neither smart, funny or interesting. She killed Joel in such a brutal way, not only did she kill him she also tortured him, and expressed zero remorse for the entirety of the rest of the game afte that, which is not the case of Ellie, who suffers from severe PTSD after all the things she does during the game, Abby is just a monster, a cold robot with no emotions and even the "good" things she tries to do during the game, are like a huge 10H side quest which brings absolutely nothing to the plot of the game,the only purpose being to include the story of a inlikeable"diverse" character we know nothing about.

    Sadly most of this fall flat, and the game switching point of views regularly gives it a completely bipolar and schizophrenic vibe. What are we supposed to do, us players, when we play as Ellie and try to kill Abby, and then later play as Abby trying to kill Ellie ,and when we fail, we die as Abby (which is what we want, we want Abby to die) but its a gameover and we have to continue and try to kill Ellie, which we don't kill and it goes on and on to the end where, when Ellie finally have the opportunity to kill Abby, she doesnt do it. It was all for nothing, but some people out there want us to think this is deep.

    No its not, its very clumsy, unnecessary edgy ,very cringe at time (some of the characters takes very stupid decisions and it sounds just forced. They really needed Joel to die so they lowered his I.Q for example) its impossible to relate to Ellie and her gf Dina who just stop in the middle of a patrol to smoke weed and have sex while Joel is being tortured and killed.

    A lots of the cast seems to only listen to their emotions,their feelings ,and decided to forget facts and logics and accessory a part of their brain.
    iit leads to a very long game that feels like a chore to finish.
    There is no silver lining for anyone, just death and misery, the way Joel and Ellie were treated in this episode ,which I consider non cannon, is not only very disrespectful, but also bad writing.
    Good graphics and ok gameplay can't save the bad writing, it is still possible to enjoy killing ennemies and taking screenshots, but so many other and better games do that too.

    At the end, this whole game feels like a 10 millions dollar experimental mess, a technical marvel with all the default and negative points of modern hollywood writing, even as a game it fails, since lots of "gameplay" sequences are just walking simulator, in wonderful looking environments we see for a minute and never see again.
    There is not a single new character in this game I find interesting, relatable, likeable orn intelligent, it"s crazy how they managed to do that.
    This game convinced me Death Stranding and Bioshock Infinite weren't actually that bad.    … Expand

    However that's it, all it gets are 3 points, it does feel like it tried to fill an agenda, and thus is doing so, it almost completely threw away what the 1st game built up, all that love and affection you had towards the main characters, it gets thrown away, played with, plus they also lied about not having to kill the dogs, and most of all, in the previous trailers, they made it seem like you could play as Joel/ that Joel would be alive for most of the game, but nope, killed him off in a stupid way, they completely made him dumb, in the first game, he ran over someone to be cautious, because he didn't know if that person was actually hurt, so to not take any chances, he ran them over.
    So to just be that careless, and just die like that?
    It enraged me, it made me close out the game.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of Us is one of my all time favorite games, so I was obviously very much looking forward to Part 2. I avoided all the spoilers and leaks and went into the game without a skewed perspective (other than maybe my own excitement and expectations based on the first game).
    Two hours in and nothing has really happened, and there doesn't seem like a clear direction for the story. You're playing as Ellie, but at one point that switches and you're playing as a character named Abby. You have no idea who she is, who her friends are, why you're playing as her, but you know they're looking for someone who might be living in Jackson. Then, playing as Ellie you watch this Abby person smash Joel's head in with a golf club, thus setting up Ellie's revenge quest.

    The game looks great, it's graphically pretty stunning, and I didn't mind the first 12ish hours of gameplay - playing as Ellie. There are parts that drag on for far too long, and the exploration gets stale. I just wanted to get to my next destination and progress the story. As Ellie the game makes you do some pretty awful stuff and seems to be intentionally trying to villainize her character, while also making her seem very bland, flat, uninteresting, and one-note. Then, after about 12 hours, there's a switch and you're back to playing Abby. Halfway through the game you have to play the girl who beat Joel's head in, and also start over with modding weapons and specs. During the beginning of this portion you learn that Abby's dad was the surgeon Joel killed to save Ellie at the end of TLOU. ND is shoving Abby down your throat, trying to make her sympathetic at every turn -
    Ellie kills dogs in her parts, Abby pets them and throws them balls!
    Ellie is killing everyone, Abby saves two kids from a cult!
    Ellie murders a pregnant woman, Abby stops herself from killing a pregnant woman!
    In trying to make Abby some sort of foil to Joel or Ellie, they demonize those two characters to try to prop Abby up, and force the "you have to look at things from other perspectives" aspect down your throat. I didn't want to play as Abby. I didn't sympathize, or empathize with her. She killed Joel, as Ellie looked on, begging for her to stop.
    The new characters are all fairly uninteresting, on both sides. I have zero investment in Abby's friends, and the folks on Ellie's side are just as boring and forgettable. The best moments of the game are flashbacks of Ellie and Joel, and watching their relationship fade over time as Ellie begins to question what happened at the hospital, and eventually finds out. They're emotional moments that I wish had been explored further.
    Now, the ending. After playing as Abby for 10-12 hours, you shift back to Ellie. She's living on a farm with Dina and their kid, and it seems like happy times. But Ellie is having flashbacks of Joel and embarks on another quest to kill Abby. Now we're in Santa Barbara. All of this felt disjointed and I felt really disconnected from the game by now. I really didn't want to continue and I honestly didn't care anymore about Abby or revenge, because Joel has gotten kind of lost in all of this by now. When he was killed I cracked my knuckles and was ready to go on this journey with Ellie to get revenge. At the end I had lost all of that. Anyway, turns out Abby has been taken prisoner by some group in CA. Suddenly it feels like we're playing Tomb Raider or Uncharted and Ellie is breaking into a compound with a prison only to kill Abby. All in all, after a fight and Ellie almost killing Abby, Ellie has a flashback of Joel and lets Abby go. In the fight Abby bites off two of Ellie's fingers. Ellie returns to an empty farmhouse. Dina is gone. She can't play the guitar Joel gave her. She has nothing. Oh, and Abby sailed off into the sunset with this kid who she was protecting. So, yeah, revenge is bad, but only sometimes, I guess?
    This game could have been great and could have explored so many aspects of this world, but they shoved an unsympathetic character down your throat, killed Joel in a very cheap manner, in a story riddled with plot holes and characters doing things very out of character. The pacing was off, the story waned, and two beloved characters were destroyed. It felt like the pretentious bs that a Fine Arts major college student would try to pass off as deep and philosophical, but has no actual depth or purpose, then those who don't like it are blamed for "not getting it".    … Expand

I'm upset over the fact that Ellie is a LGBTQ+ character, hey that's great, she was even like that in part 1. What I am upset about is the lack of good storytelling a character development. I mean Abby basically does whatever she wants throughout the whole game and gets away scott free, by killing Joel, scarring Tommy and giving Ellie PTSD. She murders countless people and does not even pay once, how in the f*ck is that fair? Not to mention, when Ellie finally has the chance to take revenge she just what? Chooses not to? Because of the memory of Joel? F*ck that in thw first game, she was upset over being alone and does whatever she can to survive and takes care of Joel like her own father and the fact that he is brutally murdered isn't enough to take revenge?! And if you say "it's to break the cycle of violence" Then why the **** does Ellie murder countless people just to get to Abby huh? I mean how the **** does that make sense?! Goddamn it, Neil Druckman made such an amazing first game that I will remember for the rest of my life, but the fact that this made this horrible peace of crap shows me it was beginners luck I mean come on man, how many brain cells had to die in your head for you to think this was a game worth releasing and playing… Expand

    Gostei muito da parte 2 igual gostei do primeiro, gameplay, gráficos, história, tudo impecável, o jeito que contam a história é coisa de gênio. Os combates junto com as finalizações é muito foda, parece tudo cena de filme, nem parece que estamos realmente jogando aquilo, pra mim é nota 10.

    Gameplay of terrible. Character moves like a robot. Can’t grab stuff unless directly looking at it. Easy concepts become near impossible to execute. Great graphics but, the story is straight garbage. I wish I could get my money and time back at the end of the day.

    Wow, I am blown away by how good this game turned out. I just finished it last night and the ending left me feeling content but at the same time thinking. I love what they did with the characters, and the one controversial character death was absolutely fine with me. Yes it was a shocking moment (I cried a lot) but it drove the story forward and became the basis of the whole plot.

    Abby is a great new character. All it takes is getting over your initial hatred and realizing she is the same as Ellie, just a girl trying to survive and do what she thinks is best. She had good reason to do what she did. The ending really blew me away in how that dire and brutal story line could end on a bit more positive note but it really did it!
    Needless to say, the graphics, sound, animations, music and voice acting are all superb. This is already my game of the year, easily.    … Expand

    Good Graphics and Good Performance is equal to 3 stars. Only 1/4 of the story is 1 more star. The rest of the game is disgusting with poorly written story (3/4), Agendas, and the disgusting way Naughty Dog designed the female characters.

    Amazing game, a technical masterpiece. I, unlike most people, was able to avoid spoilers and enjoyed the game thoroughly. There may be things that happen that you wish you can change, but that doesn’t make it bad.....to me at least.
