    And not 10/10 damn or 3/10 **** review bombing! And if you want to get it buy it for 40€ no more!

    Gameplay / Graphics (games made with hard difficulty) :
    Let's start with that, the gameplay is very good the sensations we have with Ellie ("TITLE"), are very good, the shooting sensations are pretty well managed, the fights with the infected are sometimes intense especially when you're going to face the boss (yes he's got one), it's going to give you a hard time.
    Fights with scar/wolf humans are very intense because the enemies know how to organize themselves very well and they will be ruthless with you, especially the scar.
    But in the penultimate third of the game, we don't know why the Wolves become dumb... sometimes they watch walls (WTF?), this part was rush during development? (and some small bugs seen here and there that will probably be fixed).

    The Graphics are beautiful Naughty Dogs manages their engines very well, especially the faces and expressions of the actors, superb (after that I prefer a little more Uncharted 4 in terms of graphics, a slap in the face. Maybe the sets?)

    Screenplay [BIG SPOIL NOW]:
    We meet Ellie and Joel and the others 4 years later in Jackson at camp, after the events of the first game. [Ellie knows the truth about what happened at the hospital and the fireflies at the end of the first and Joel has no regrets about what he did at that time.]

    Ellie goes on a routine patrol with Dina, everything is going great, they find a place to rest and do their business ;)
    But Jesse (a character we see more in the game), finds them with the information that Joel and Tommy still haven't come back so they go back to find them, but only Joel is captured with Tommy, and then what happened... Ellie wanting to save Joel in the place where he is, she finds herself trapped by Joel's kidnappers, stuck and beaten she is in front of Joel bloody almost dead, Abby (a very important character in the story) killed Joel in front of Ellie's eyes by revenge because her father was killed by Joel when he was going to operate Ellie 4 years ago (Abby's father was the surgeon). Then Ellie will lead her quest for revenge, in the direction of Seattle. (I made HUGE shortcuts)

    Although the basic scenario is rather classic in its treatment, it is very well written because we will live (obviously) Ellie's adventure during the 3 days in Seattle and will go back up the trail to Abby killing one by one those who captured Joel (followed by "flashbacks" between the days of the moments lived between Joel and Ellie in the past), we see Ellie falling little by little in the spiral of hate (I won't go into details play it or watch the movie version that will be on youtube soon to see it. )
    And that's where the surprise of the scenario comes in because we will also play Abby what she lived during the 3 days in Seattle or we will also understand her motivations that pushed her to do that (via "flashbacks" also cut between the days, besides we start with her the day her father died, it lasts anyway 2 good hours), she will also see during her adventure her friends die either by learning it, by seeing their corpses or by living it.

    In spite of my spoils I will not tell you certain passages of the game which is very important or essential, I also take care not to tell you the end which will divide you and which also divided me, but I understand.

    CONCLUSION:
    The game is a very good technical performance, it's beautiful and you don't get bored in front of the game, Abby is superbly well written, I wouldn't say more ;)
    I understand Ellie's motivations, the links she has and has had with Joel are very important, the game is sometimes sad, sometimes joyful (it plays a lot on the Nostalgia of the first one), and a lot of hatred it can divide people and it will, the end is what it is, it is very open but again it divides.
    And I understand that people can't understand it, but as Joel said: "I would have liked it to be different too, but that's the way it is."    … Expand

    I was crying like **** every time when l saw flashbacks with Joel and Elle. Don’t hurry to write negative comments, complete the game to the end, it isn’t so bad like u think.

    Never actually written a review before but anyways... Here it goes. I went into this game very excited I mean I even managed to avoided all spoilers like crazy and went into the game blind AF. That being said after playing and beating the game I can see how much of a negative impact it would have been to have had the plot ruined by leaks. The story left me feeling all sorts of ways. It just leaves you feeling... like a hodgepodge of feelings and that's a good thing in my eyes. The game is also very pretty. Like play this game at night with the volume up on 4k. It's breathtaking. It's also surprisingly long. Like near the end the game has so many cuts to black that I was like "is this the end? No wait maybe this is the end" I'm jumping around here but yeah I enjoyed it. The only reason I couldn't give it a perfect score is because.. Well...Where's the multiplayer? The first game had such a bad ass online mode that I loved and would have loved to experienced here. But... It's nowhere to be found. But hey new game + is a thing soo... Yeah. That's my review… Expand

I can see and understand why Ellie stopped in the end, but I never got inside Abby's head as ND wants me to. Building her vaguely and suddenly she's "trying to be good" after 2 strangers saved her. After Seattle events, I can see that she did change, but that's not enough to cover her golf scene. Overall it's an emotional roller coaster for me.… Expand

    The game is really good. Stop being salty and close minded. Granted, the pacing could have been better, that is my biggest problem with the game. But does that really make the games story poorly written and bad? The amount of insane moments in the game are beyond any 0/100 scores. Good god i hate the human race.

    I'll be brutally honest. This is a good game though not a great one(like the first). It has amazing level desing,good world building and an amazingly bleak atmosphere. The gameplay is like the first with few minor improvements. The main issue is is in the story. Three parts of the story in specific.     Look I understand people dont like the whole SJW thing in the game. But to review bomb this game based on that is silly. It is pushed a bit much but who actually cares.

    The story is solid. Not the best they have told but still good. Gameplay is easily 9/10. Great Stealth and Third person action.

    Graphics are amazing. 4k tv with hdr turned on is unbelievable.

    It is an easy 8/10 for me

    That doesn't mean the whole game is bad, the conversations come across and cringe as well as forced at times, like "Thanks, babe".... however the gameplay and cinemeatic experince is on point and I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy playing the game.

    People who review stuff from a biased standpoint, dont deserve a voice to begin with. Everything has pro's and cons, so people should get out of their echo chambers. Im glad I went in without being spoiled, otherwise it would of been hard to hold a unbiased viewpoint.    … Expand

    1st Technically:
    I Encountered 3 Times Texture Load in, 1 Time a Prop popped in and popped out regarding to the degree you looked at it, 1 Time Texture Clipping in a Place you you probably shouldn't even go. So that's a Solid 5 "Bugs" I encountered which is really good and impressive. Loading Times if you Play the Game in one Piece are 0, and you don't even know when something is loading, but you realise when you open a cold Save how much the Game hast to Load.
    For that I Give the Game 9,9/10.

    2nd Visuals:
    The Game looks Gorgeous, the best a Game has ever looked on PS4, the Characters are amazingly Designed and Detailed. The World is Rich and Beautiful and the Zombie's are what bad Dreams are made off.
    A solid 10/10.

    3rd Gameplay:
    So the Main Gameplay Loop is, Go somewhere, find a way in Kill some People, story sequence and go again. Till the End it doesn't feel exhausting or to repetitive so that's good but I wish the made the ending come a bit faster, did not enjoy the last 3 Hours marching to the end, but fine. You can fine tune your difficulty Settings to your liking, more Loot but hardest Enemies, easy sneaking but if they find you you Dead, or hard sneaking with forgiving enemies. It's all there.
    The Survival Mechanic is very similar to the first one but a bit tweaked, You can choose different approaches to every fight, tho when you do it loud there are more enemies to fight then when you sneak. Weapon Ammo is very low even on the lowest Loot difficulty, you probably gotta use multiple weapons in one encounter, but you can mostly refill after them According to your loot difficulty. Capacity Upgrades don't let you hold more Ammo, just more in one magazine.
    I love the Guitar Minigame where you can play 30 Accords and every string solo. It's beautiful.
    So Gameplay Wise 9.1/10.

    4th Story:
    It left me Numb Laying in my Bed for hours. I did not enjoy the Ending. I did not enjoy the Character switch at first but I got warm with it, The Story punches you in your gut multiple times out of nowhere and so hard you can't even react to it. It's all fine till the End, A new Group just for a broken Ellies Revenge Trip? A Broken and Hatred filled Tommy that flames Ellie? I say No No. All the friends you had Killed and only one is left for both Sides ok I can Dig that, loose everything, and give out mercy in the last Moment and go Love your Live in Peace.
    Let me Craft you a better Ending, Cut right before Tommy gets Revealed and let him Die, Cut to Abby and let them find the firefly's and let them drive off with the Boat, cut to Ellie going Upstairs to Play the Guitar and reveal that she forgave Joel and that he died in Peace with Ellie. Game Credits Role, end Screen you can see that the Boat from Abby landed in Catalina and you can know they made it. Everyone is Happy in the End, after all that loss and the final mercy you can Rest Now. That Would be a fantastic Ending, something with a Message, that you should forgive and show mercy. And not your beloved Main Character becomes the Villain gets left by everyone and then don't even gets Her full Revenge and is left alone.
    So I would give the Story with my Ending which just cuts the Broken Revenge trip and Tommy a Solid 9/10. With the Ending the Devs made, I can't I don't know with that Ending nothing matters that Happened it's 3/10 at best. You can't make her a villain and then **** out. Go Big or go Home.

    So with a 9.9/10, a 10/10, a 9.1/10 and an 3/10 that's 32/40 or 8/10. So it should be my Final Score.

    Would Recommend but don't Play the Ending or Close your Eyes and Ears when Tommy is there and Stop Playing after Abby finishes the Call with the firefly. Look up the Last scene with Joel and bam a very good Ending and Game.    … Expand

    I want to write this review because I don't understand the low user score. People are saying the ruined the story but for me the story took an obvious root. I feel as though naughty dog wanted to make you feel uncomfortable while playing the game. As far as all the people upset about the "SJW" story line this isnt the case and I somewhat believe naughty dog placed them there just to piss people of the story feels real and while I hated feeling some of the stuff I did - Sometimes in life there is not a happy ending and we just have to move on.… Expand

Но весь гнев, агрессию и злобу Элли я полномтю прочувствовал играя и убивая всех кто был на моем пути. Концовка спорная хотелось убить Эбби всю игру и меня бесило играть за Эбби и бить Элли . Жаль Элли которая потеряла Дину и JJ ( и два пальца кст) из-за мести которою не осуществила, если бы она не пошла в санту барбару то Эбби умерла а в Элли осталась бы семья и был какой-то хотя бы хеппи енд.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. 作为从业者，我认为最后的生还者2 是一款近三年来我最为喜欢的电影式游戏。我甚至为我能在游戏里看到的小细节，小彩蛋所兴奋好久。因为我太喜欢游戏的美术以及关卡的设计了。
    和场景交互也是做到了前无古人的细致。
    然后说到被大家所诟病的剧情，确实在理性上我能够理解所有的角色的行为动机。但是我确实是无法喜欢起来。 （身边的朋友甚至有很多奇怪的理论 就是如果艾比长得漂亮些他就能理解艾比）
    不过就谈谈我的感受 ，因为我也是游戏行业的从业者 所以我在游玩一款游戏的时候是无法做到完全感性的沉浸在一款游戏里。我甚至在乔尔受到虐待的时候还在思考 在这边顽皮狗是否会让玩家去操纵挥杆。
    我还是支持顽皮狗再这个顺应市场的游戏业界内做出这样的反市场的作品 有尝试才有突破。

    But when I saw Joel died, in the beginning, I didn't even want to continue the game but I spend my 70 bucks so I continued to play the game the Seattle part with Ellie was beautiful just what I expected from a naughty dog game. But when the part arrived that I need to play with Abby the story went down.
    After all of that, you go to Los Angeles to kill Abby but at the end you spare her.'

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. As someone who didn't play the first TLOU but knows the story, I loved Part 2. A combination of good easy-to-learn gameplay controls, solid storytelling and beautiful graphics make for an enjoyable time. I can understand why many users have given negative feedback on the game, especially fans of Part 1. The main character from the original TLOU, Joel, who people fell in love with in the first installment gets killed off within the first few hours of Part 2. However, his death sets up the story line, changing it from a story of survival to a potential rampage for revenge for Ellie and her crew. Naughty Dog's decision to kill Joel isn't their way of writing him out of the storyline. It's their way of turning him into something bigger - a source of strength and courage the protagonists lean on while tackling the grueling and dangerous mission to seek revenge. Yes, the game starts off a bit slow. However, it speeds up quickly while allowing you ample time and opportunities to familiarize yourself with the game controls. Like all games, TLOU2 isn't without its own flaws. The combat sequences, especially when taking on more than one Infected can be improved with indicators of which direction enemies are attacking from. Another minor annoyance were some of the tasks required to unlocking doors, passageways, etc. Some of the "puzzles" were beyond frustrating to figure out, forcing me to put down the game for a bit to cool off before going back in - if Naughty Dog's intention was to irritate gamers by doing this, they succeeded with some of the required tasks. All in all, this game is worth the price of admission. It gives you the wheel to drive through an excellent movie-quality storyline, one that will grip you through intense moments all the way through the end. Part 1 was about love, Part 2's theme is revenge. Naughty Dog took a big risk in killing Joel, a bold move the audience should appreciate. They didn't play it safe, they made it clear everyone is fair game which adds another suspenseful layer. Accept this and you'll have a great time.… Expand

    Après avoir finit le jeu je dois avouer que jai pris une grosse claque. Le jeu est incroyable la musique, le gameplay, l'acting et le sound design impose le respect .Mais selon moi le point de dscorde du jeu est l'écriture car le scénario est plutôt bon ( en dessous du premier volet) mais l'écriture des dialogue sur certaines scènes sont terriblement mal écrite

Сюжет непредсказуем и если не смотреть никаких сливов, держит в напряжении до конца. Мир показан жестоким, каким и должен быть. Но иногда очень натужно выглядят сюжетные ветки показанных ментшинств. Есть ощущение, что некоторые моменты лишние и вообще ради них в жертву приносится отношения между Элли и Джоэлом, их не раскрыли в полной мере. А это ведь главное. Now the game falters at a point that I think is more important than the graphical section, and it is the story, since you reach the breaking point and continue playing, playing with the character of Abby and sympathizing with her seems uncomfortable to me, and when you play with ellie it feels like she really isn't ellie if not another character.     1) we didnt empathize with her couse she killed our favorite character. what were you thinking?
    2) if you wanted to show how the good guy can be the bad one in another story, fine, let us play with her for one episode not the other FU*K half, that was such a TRAS*
    3) The end of the game was trash. i think that all wanted revenge. Ellie lost a lot of people, friends, the person she loves and lost her "dad". just for forgiving the one that caused that. TRASH.
    4) I would have preferred a shorter game but with the in-depth story of Ellie´s, than a long game with a character that I did not like and let them kill me because I did not care

I have a plat in TLOU part 1 and after 3/4 of the part 2 game-play, I just feel I won't finish it. It has some intense moments but overall the story doesn't make any sense to me. While I didn't have any problems with playing as Abby her storyline didn't convince me (yet).     The gameplay mechanics are still fun, outstanding graphics, good soundtrack. I do agree that the story is not un par with part 1. Think the flashback scenes should have been done as chapter 1 and 2 before the first 2 hours of the game. 8/10

    I'll start off with this. I've been waiting for a sequel back in 2013 since the credits rolled after Joel's lie.
    The first game was a masterpiece. And it's probably why people are talking so much smack about this sequel. Neil's writing peaked at the first installment of The Last of Us. That was it. Hands down.

    See, the problem with this sequel is because the first one set the bar too high. But Naughty Dog did their absolute best to bang this game out. I loved the graphics, I loved the gameplay, I loved the challenges, I loved the feeling of getting through those insane bosses. I actually had some fun. It was intense, it was thrilling.

    BUT, this isn't anything like the first one. There were some parts of the game that I thought was just a drag. Playing as different characters isn't anything new but playing as the game's antagonist definitely was a different experience. When the game tried to gain sympathy for Abby by putting us in her shoes, it sort of worked for me.

    I was so confused as to why I actually felt sorry for Abby when Ellie was beating her up at the final fight. I guess that's what made this game good in its own way. Good guy? Bad guy? This game blurred the lines between those. It was a roller coaster of emotions. A bundle of unpredictability.

    Ellie and Joel's fate broke my heart into a million pieces. However, I will not give this a bad rating. It wasn't unbearable to play, it was just hard to watch everything that everyone went through. I've developed an emotional attachment to these characters since the first game so of course I've shed some tears during some parts of the game.

    If you liked this game, let's call it an acquired taste.    … Expand

I understand why most people have a problem with this but I think they are just upset with Joel’s death so early on. However the rest of the game plays like normal and is pretty incredible, I don’t think there were any really touching moments like from the first game but some scenes were very well played out. As for the character design and development it wasn’t the best but was not anywhere near as bad as people are making it out to be. As for the ending I heard from a lot of people it wasn’t very good however I thought the ending was as good as it could be with the story they chose to tell and there is a lot of things to look into in the ending which give the story some actual meaning.
    Is this Naughty Dog’s strongest game? No.
    But it’s no where near as bad as the fans are making it out to be and is definitely worth playing if you keep an open mind.    … Expand

Всеми силами игра хочет заставить нас начать сопереживать Эбби, показать, что люди находятся с обеих сторон , нет добра и зла. НО, в самом начале повествования Эбби убивает персонажа, С которым мы так свыклись, которому сопереживали, и после этого всеми средствами нас уговаривают, нам показывают, что вот его убийца вприцнипе не такой уж и злой, да и вообще вот вы ее друзей убиваете, тогда чем вы лучше ? Почему нельзя было просто отпустить и насладиться жизнью с Томми, Джесси, Диной и своими остальными знакомыми/друзьями? Тогда вопрос аналогичный можно задать и Эбби, разве нет ? Какие бы ни были аргументы за данного персонажа и как бы нас не убеждали - нет. Это не сближает нас, игроков, с человеком, который убил Джоела изуверски, Джесси. Нет, нельзя сопереживать этому человеку, я не могу понять его осознать. Она убила симпатичных мне персонажей и что, что вот она такая же как все, у неё своя жизнь, у неё погиб отец из за Джоела. Это не заполняет чашу равновесия на весах той боли, что она причиняет не только Элли, но и конкретно нам игрокам. И то, что Элли отказывается ее убить в конце - сюжетный промах, который мог бы вытянуть историю. Довершить мест Элли, даже превратив ее в монстра. Снова происходит то, чего не ждут игроки: в первой части мы все хотим спасти мир доставить Элли и вакцину выработать - но в итоге Джоел убивает всех и спасает Элли. Сейчас же мы все дорогу хотим мести и не получаем ее. Одинаковый сюжетный трюк дважды провернуть не удалось, и если бы наоборот Элли убила, отомстила - это смотрелось бы более уместно и более непредсказуемо. Мы бы получили ужасное будущее для девушки, что было бы куда интереснее. Как бы мне не оправдывали поступки Эбби, они ужасны и не вытянут ее человечность. The story is good up to the ending as many of y'all know instead of the game making the call on whether or not you wanted revenge the player should've had this choice. Abby's POV is really good and gives you an interesting perspective i believe that her part of the game story is very good and is why the player should have the choice of kill or not. My main beef with this game is the end it emotional is draining to play this game and the end is brutal. Ellie goes for revenge after having a nice life on a farm with Dina and her child she gives it all up for nothing and when she returns Dina is gone and it **** hurts.     I didn't like the first game, very predictable. This game is not only good at mechanics and graphics, it is also very better that the first. The only bad thing is that the dynamism of the narrative breaks in a certain point and can frustrate the player, but if you open the mind for the plot and let it surprise you, it can improve a lot.

But is fun man. A lot of games would love to have the graphics and the mechanics I mean for a PS4 to run it like it does it's pretty freaking awesome.

Какая модная повестка в геймдеве? Борьба за права меньшинств. В 1-ой части был мощный понятный всем твист, ради которого вся игра и строилась. В данной части твисты заключаются в понимании мотивации персонажей... думаю большинство их даже не заметят))) Вообщем сюжет не для всех, который скорее всего и был создан для разделения аудитории.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. El juego tiene mecánicas parecidas a la anterior entrega, pero añade la de poder agacharse y disparar estando recostado, lo que nos permitirá utilizar el sigilo de una forma diferente.
    A nivel de historia nos centraremos en la venganza por acciones que realizo Joel a lo largo de su vida por lo que tarde o temprano se vería algo así, el problema que hay es que existen demasiadas casualidades convenientemente para el desarrollo de la historia, aunque durante el transcurso del juego se nos van dando indicios y pistas de como llegamos a encontrar a Joel. A lo largo del juego tratan de crear empatía con Abby, la antagonista de la historia sin embargo al tratarse de una secuela muchos estarán del lado de Joel y Ellie, además la forma tan chocante en que presenta a Abby hace muy difícil que sintamos algo de simpatía por ella.
    Gráficamente se ve muy bien con paisajes y escenarios gigantescos para que podamos explorar durante un buen tiempo, lo malo que solo ocurre en un par de capítulos y después volveremos al sistema de pasillos en el que debemos seguir en un camino para llegar del punto A al punto B.
    Los personajes carecen del carisma que tenían Joel y Ellie en la primera entrega y se nos presentan una Ellie más adulta y pareciera que más amargada y enojada, olivémonos de frases como “cielos Joel” y esto lo notaremos en un capítulo en el que controlaremos a Ellie más joven con sus bromas hacia Joel y comentarios propios de alguien de 14 años.
    El desenlace de la historio le resta puntos a todo lo que hemos hecho y nos damos cuenta de que no es una historia de venganza sino del perdón y como podemos perlo todo por perseguir un fin tan ruin. Todo esto estaría bien si durante todo el juego no nos la pasemos matando personajes que no tuvieron mucho que ver con la historia de venganza, incluso que gracias a ellos Ellie sigue con vida y el personaje por quien empezamos nuestra masacre decidimos simplemente perdonarle la vida.    … Expand

    The gameplay is pretty good a little annoying at times but still good so I'll give it an 8 the story I'll give a 6 it's not the best game of all time but it definitely doesn't deserve a score below a 5

    I enjoyed this game. There is some room for improvement however in the story but the environment was breathtaking, combat was pretty fun and extremely brutal.

    This game took a lot of risks with what it shows and I can understand that a lot of people who don't expect this type of story out of a game would not like it, but the rush reviews of complete zeroes right out the gate for this game is completely undeserved. While I do find the story to have some problems, everything else in the game brings it to a solid 8 for me.

    About SJW stuff people are saying, i really didn't notice anything, really. Me and ALL of my friends who played it thought everything to be perfectly fit within its universe and anything felt forced at all. Ellie and Dina relationship felt so natural as her with Riley, and the polemical Mysterious Woman is not a transsexual (not even Gay) like everybody is saying and her ripped body is actually explained within its context. Seriously, i really don't know how can people find this to be "SJW festival" when the entire game is all about violence and killing people, literally. There's not ONE SINGLE line of dialog or face expressions where female characters feel superior or more empowered than male in this game or the contrary, seriously. Not one single thing. The characters kills black men, black women, white women, white men, they kills everybody, It's equally balanced and i can't understand why people are so upset about this.

    But why you have to play it open-minded then? Well, as i said, there are no right or wrong morals here. *No one is a hero and this is a hard and sad world to live in for EVERYONE* (this phrase is very important). Well, basically the game tries to make you understand every side of the story. Characters motivations, Why they did what they did, Their human side, Their empathy capacity on bad/good people and thats it. So people got a misconception of the game thinking this would be a lovely revenge story (yeah, lovely revenge) about Right beating Wrong in a heroic and epic way like every other single game in the market, and they got their mind closed on it. So when they realized what the game is about - a harshly violent, MOSTLY SAD / DEPRESSIVE story with no morals of right and wrong, bad or good where NOBODY is safe and no one is a hero - Oooooooooh boy, you can understand the hate, seriously, if you're reading this and you bad-rated the game because of its story, i can understand you. The game will not satisfy everyone.

    If you identified more of yourself within the love story from the first game and want to play Part II, don't. Stay in the first game. If you do it, you MUST play tihs willing to understand every side of the coin here and have a minimum ammount of empathy for everyone, including people you *think* are the bad ones. hence the open-minded thing i'm talking about.

    I give it a 8 because i feel like there could be more of it, you know? They could push everything much harder to cause more impact, because i sadly didn't feel much empathy about its characters as i wanted to. I cried in the end, yeah.     Gameplay is nice, graphics are superb and story is just okay. Would i recommend it? No, would i play it again? Yes maybe platinum too. TBH its an okay game, Comptuers AI still feel like one. Not groundbreaking as i thought it would.

    "The Last Of Us 2" seemed like a completely cool game to me due to the graphics and gameplay, but I waited a bit longer on certain things. Some of Abby's flashbacks were incesarios, the only good and interesting ones were about her relationship with her dad and how she saw him pass away.

    A part gave more prominence to her than Ellie.

    In a third part they can improve those points.

    It was one of the greatest games i’ve ever played. I can’t compare with the first part because it’s two different products, but these two games are both equally good. It’s a great story about revenge and how it changes you. I’ve gone through this game for like 2-3 days and can’t even describe the specter of emotions that i’ve lived through while was playing. A drop from the 10/10 I'd give the first but it is still a very good game. I didn't mind Joel dying, since the trailer it made it seem like he was dead and Ellie would get revenge. I don't mind how he died either. It makes sense. He became too trusting of others and it led to his downfall. Abby's reasoning for killing him is justified enough. I love Joel but there are 2 sides to each story.

    Which is a theme. It is why you play as Abby. There are 2 sides to every story. The hero and villains of each story can be flipped. It is often the same with war. Everyone is doing what they do for what they think is good, while it is seen as evil from another side. Joel is a hero for saving Ellie, but really he did **** over humanity and killed a lot of people. Abby is a hero to her people but she also kills a lot of people fighting for what they believe in.

    In the end, the moral is Revenge is dumb. You can lose everything, as well as yourself trying to seek it. Abby realized this earlier. Owen and Mel are dead due to Tommy and Ellie seeking revenge for Joel. So, Abby spared Ellie when she could have killed her. She then tries to start a new life with the child and is a much more empathetic person. Trying to turn her life around like Joel did when he met Ellie. With Ellie, she lost Jesse, Dina, and their child seeking revenge. She even lost 2 fingers, hindering her ability to play guitar, something she loved and had a deep connection with Joel to. In the end, she wanders off, having to start new like Abby.

    Revenge is not worth it. What we do in this life can come back and bite us.

    I will say, I give it an 8 because Abby's parts dragged. I feel 1 or 2 missions with her was all that was needed, or just some cutscenes for backstory. A lot felt like it was DLC. I get why they included it, to give Abby backstory and character development, but it just dragged. I also hated having to hurt Ellie. I was almost in tears thinking I would have to kill her.

    I also think so much of this hate **** So many homophobes and transphobes in the reviews. I also feel a lot of people rating off of leaks is dumb. I see so much on twitter and other places, "spoilers", that don't even happen. So many people mad Ellie died when she in fact does not die. Or people saying it was dumb for Ellie to not kill Abby when she was tied up, missing the fact that she got triggered to attack again by the blood on her shirt.

    I have no comment on how the LGBTQ community views how they were represented, as I am not part, but I feel there wasn't anything really offensive? But I am not the right person to say. So I will leave that be.

    The ending seems like a third game is possible, with Ellie finding a new life. I just hope the hate doesn't get the series canned.

    Last note: Forgot to add though, that I was glad we got a taste of the sequel most people wanted. More Joel and Ellie. Easily the best part of the game. Might not have worked as a full sequel though because I feel sequels are supposed to evolve.    … Expand

Literally the game serves as a vehicle for trauma and grief. Yes, the first one ended with Ellie and Joel together, but at what? The cost of millions of lives. Don’t even get me started about Left Behind. Why the game is good. It is a natural progression of what is likely to happen next in the TLOU universe. Like, is it REALLY probable that Joel would get away with killing a rather large portion of an already minuscule and dwindling population? NO!! Of course someone came after him and like while I was enraged and hate what happened to Joel I was able to step away from my love/attachment to him and think critically about the powerful character development we were being given: - the game is about family and family can either be the found family (Joel and Ellie) or it can be blood (Abby and Jerry) we are given a chance to see the world of the game through different lenses and I think it makes it more dynamic and for the better. - Getting to play as who the fans primarily see as the “bad guys” and see how they view themselves as good and gain an attachment to the characters from the WLVs is kind of eye opening. (Still hate Abby tho nice try naughtydog) - THE GRAPHICS. Like we take a lot of things for granted in this game but literally the fact that it’s like playing an HD movie is insane. 10/10 detail work 10/10 art. - the flashbacks with Joel and Ellie are incredibly heartening and it was a nice addition to have in the game and helped show more of the dynamic growth of Ellie the dorky teen to Ellie as an angry angsty adult. - guitar mini game SLAPS. it’s fun to mess with and is a good break from the stress and anxiety of stealthing it everywhere. - you can pet the dogs - GAY RIGHTS GAY RIGHTS GAY RIGHTS. But genuinely, being able to play as a character who is a lesbian and isn’t a caricature of a lesbian was very rewarding and make me really happy!! The Bad:

    - you have to kill dogs and like? To be real that is super upsetting

    - I hated being FORCED to play as Abby and like I completely understand it was to endear us to her but like I hate her mf guts. Like regardless of how much “oh look she is a good person and has good friends :^)” that is shoved at us. I think if it had been more intermittent, like how we got the younger Ellie flashbacks it would’ve been more bearable instead the second half is just like “you’re Abby and you WILL cope w it” - there was a lot of potential in dina’s character and we got some of it but I would’ve loved to get to know her more outside of the synagogue scene    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. El juego está increíble, se nota el esfuerzo de naughty dog en los detalles de las cosas, en los paisajes, escenarios, tanto como en las expresiones de los personajes y las emociones que te transmiten.
    En tanto en la historia te cambia de como ves a cada personaje, ya que de cada punto de los personajes ninguno es malo. Te hace empatizar con los personajes por ejemplo Abby, de querer verla muerta a querer que no la mate Elly, te hace ver que de igual madera sufrió Abby como Elly, y que ella también tiene esa misma sed de venganza de Elly porque mataron a su padre. Aún que todo ocurrió por Joel por matar a las luciérnagas y condenar de cierta madera a la humanidad, incluso Elly estaba dispuesta a dar su vida por la cura, te hace ver las relaciones y como han vivido cada personajes para tomar cada decisión, y ser lo que son.
    Tambien esde que le contó Joel a Elly lo sucedido, se rompió la relación de ellos pero con el tiempo Elly decide que quiere perdonar a Joel, y gracias a eso Elly no decide matar a Abby, casi como una forma de enmendar lo que hizo, y así soltar ese sufrimiento que trae por la muerte de Joel.
    La muerte de Joel fue rápida, incluso en términos del principio del juego ya que el es un gran personaje y dolió su muerte. ¿Merecía una muerta épica? No, ya que ningún personaje en los dos juego ha muerta de una madera épica, simplemente mueren de una forma rápida y cruel, ya que así es el mundo en el juego, nadie se va de una forma glorioza.
    Vez el cambio de los personajes de la parte I y II, Joel de ser un traficante de armas y asesinar para sobrevivir a ser un personaje más noble y protector (así como era antes de la muerte de Sarah), Elly de ser una niña divertida a ser una persona más sería y a las ves triste.
    En la jugabilidad mantienen lo mismo que en la primera parte, sólo agregan nuevas armas y algunas habilidades, con los enemigos se nota el cambio en la inteligencia artificial ya que ahora investigan y traran de razonar para encontrarte, pero lo demás no hubo un gran cambio.
    En los paisajes y los escenario es increíble el esfuerzo y detalle que dieron fue un cambio total que se disfruta mucho ver, incluso en las expresiones de las personajes y lo que logra transmitir, eso es lo que te hace más empatizar con el personaje y ver lo que siente.
    Lo único que trataron de forzar mucho es con el tema de ser "inclusivos", en partes del juego o la historia en si, agregan partes innecesarias y que no aportan nada a la historia, está bien pero tampoco no abusar, si no ayuda en nada al juego, ni aporta a la historia.    … Expand

Man, What should I say about this game ? Firstly The visuals are Top-Notch, Story is not what we have assumed or excepted. Killing Joel in the first 2 hours of Game is Stupid and the way they kill him is pathetic and out of character. Basically for the shock value Playing with Abby is somehow is okay to some extent but for this long is won't connect.

    Similarly, The ending feels Weak. they should give us the option of killing or let Go.
    Because after kill lots of people, after losing everybody Ellie will change and forget Abby. That Totally Don't Make sense.

    Overall I liked the game. Combat was challenging but not too difficult. I think they handled the horror really well. The game doesn't go for cheap jumpscares(although there are some jumpscares in there), instead it filled me with tension and a slight sense of dread. it worked really well. When you are a fan of Part 1, try the second one. The only very very bad thing about the game is, that Naughty Dog killed Joel after we saw him just 10 minutes. Just try the game and form your own opinion. Last but not least I have to say that the look and sound of the game are breathtaking. Para los que dicen que el juego es demasiado inclusivo lo dicen solo porque hay personajes que no son los típicos de los juegos y se piensan que por qué el mundo esta en un apocalipsis las personas LGBT van a desaparecer y molestarse por eso es de un completo idiota e ignorante.     Es un buen juego , aunque no le hace el honor que merece la increíble historia que nos entrego la primera parte.
    A pesar de todo , es un juego que no merece el trato que está recibiendo solo por algunos hechos que suceden en la historia , está muy lejos de ser un 3 , resulta muy disfrutable y en ocasiones superior a la primera entrega , logra mantenerte tenso por gran cantidad de tiempo y    Es un buen juego , aunque no le hace el honor que merece la increíble historia que nos entrego la primera parte.
    A pesar de todo , es un juego que no merece el trato que está recibiendo solo por algunos hechos que suceden en la historia , está muy lejos de ser un 3 , resulta muy disfrutable y en ocasiones superior a la primera entrega , logra mantenerte tenso por gran cantidad de tiempo y tenerte pegado a la tv por muchas horas, aunque como ya mencioné , la historia no es la mejor.

However when the game kept pushing you to feel for this person (Abby) after she killed joel because he killed an extra in the last game I started to lose any passion for the game. However I see why Naughty Dog did it, they wanted to make The Last Of Us Part II enjoyable for people who didn't play the last game, However I believe if they had focused on us (the fans of the original) they would feel less pressured to kill the greatest video game character ever in the first 2-3 hours. I am however frustrated that the game ended with Eliie taking the moral high-ground after killing hundreds of people, killing a pregnant woman and brutal torturing Nora. The whole game Ellie vows to avenge Joel and in the last 10 minuets she changes her mind, this feels like a Cop out and sloppy story writing to me. However I believe the reason for this is Sony wants another Last of us and therefor naughty dog need to leave the game as open as possible (This is mainly shown by the fact we now know there are fireflies out there). Although I do not believe it lives up to my expectations and or live up to the first one, I can not sit here and say The Last Of Us Part II was not an extraordinary because it was, the graphics are impeccable, the gameplay is the best from any video game I've ever played, the acting was of the charts and of course the Story was very good even for naughty dogs standards. (To show that the story was good just think of how you would react if you played The Last Of Us Part II without knowing about Part I, you can not tell me or anyone that you would have enjoyed it, the only reason i gave negative thoughts in this review is because it does not live up to Part I for that reason I rate the game an 8/10. However if Part II was released as a standalone and did not have the expectations we had it could have easily been a 10/10. I should also say I do genuinely believe this game is Game of the year and will be talked about for years, I also expect there will be one more game (to finish the trilogy that's my opinion anyway.)… Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
