    Intense game with fantastic graphics, deep characters and a well thought out backdrop. The game world evolved & expanded, so will the characters. In a savage world where violence is common place it is futile grounds for tragedy, which include death of characters fan love.

    Ok so now that has been 8 months since the release of the game Im here to give you my thoughts about this game.First of all we are talking about an impressive game in terms of gameplay graphics and sound.The player has the ability to choose the way he desires to approach the game.He/She can either play aggresive or stealth and wisely.The soumdtrack is astonishing and it fits perfectly toOk so now that has been 8 months since the release of the game Im here to give you my thoughts about this game.First of all we are talking about an impressive game in terms of gameplay graphics and sound.The player has the ability to choose the way he desires to approach the game.He/She can either play aggresive or stealth and wisely.The soumdtrack is astonishing and it fits perfectly to the gworlds atnosphere and the feelings tne developers want you to feel.The graphics are probably one of the best if not the best in this generation and no one can deny that.In conclusion i would like to talk about the story of this game so there will be a few spoilers.Alright so most of the gamers got teiggered because of joels death.According to them they didnt like the fact that he died in the first 2 hours of the game and the "poor execution" of his death.I cant understand the problem here.We all was expecting joels death at some point of the game.Plus the last of us part 2 had to make a difference from the first game and not just repeat the same aspect and theme it had.As a whole ecperience i loved the approach of the story and the message the devs wanted to share.Another fact that has to be mentioned is that the second game doesnt forget its predecessor and you will further understand it especially at the ending.Now lets talk about Abby.Abby is a very interesting characther who wasnt planned to be in the whole franchise.They created her because the game had the need of an existence.And this is not a problem at all.She and her father is are valuable reasons to expand the world of the last of us and connect two different stories which at the end of the day are exactly the same.Try and think just about abbys story and you will find out that the evil guys are ellie and joel.If we started playing the game as abby and her father we would ask ouurselves why do these guys get to leave in a safe environment for 5 years with electricity and a community to look after despite the fact that joel killed her father and more importantly doomed humanity with his selfish actions.As you can see the only difference between ellies and abbys story is that these whole 7 years we experienced joels and ellies story and we came in terma with joels decision because we had the chance to see the reason he wanted to keep ellie alive.The world took everything from joel so joel took everything from the world...Thats all i had to say about my review.Now youre all wondering why didnt give this game a 10/10 right?Well truth is that the new character the game put in were pretty much boring(Yara jesse manny jordan).The only ones i really liked was Lev dina and owen.Owen was the main reason the game gave us a hint of the third game.It gives hope to the player that at some point we will meet the fireflies again.In general we are talking about a solid sequel that approaches the masterpiece of the first one… Expand

    Love the game. First game maybe tiny bit better as it was more positive. I am glad Naughty dog didn't play it safe and made lots of controversial decisions. It looks like you can only love or hate the game, nothing in between.

    Top graphics, controls, cutscenes, this game never gets boring, it is like being part of a movie.

    One of the best titles I've played on PS4 Pro. The ending gives you a sense of satisfaction despite of the roller coaster you've been through playing the game.

    Fun Gameplay, excellent Graphics/Sound-design and an emotional and exciting story (at least for me, this is subjective) that is told really well. Sometimes I felt like the game was a bit too long, but nevertheless an amazing experience.

    This is probably the most polished game I’ve ever played. The characters in this story are treated as real people with feelings and emotions. It’s also incredibly beautiful. From landscapes to items on a desk. Everything looks amazing. The gameplay builds upon the first game and improves it in every way. It’s much longer as well and you get a lot of game per dollar value. The dialogue isThis is probably the most polished game I’ve ever played. The characters in this story are treated as real people with feelings and emotions. It’s also incredibly beautiful. From landscapes to items on a desk. Everything looks amazing. The gameplay builds upon the first game and improves it in every way. It’s much longer as well and you get a lot of game per dollar value. The dialogue is the strongest point of the game by far. Some of the greatest writing I’ve seen outside of Movie and TV. The gameplay is sharp and smart. Many ways to approach the same situation with all encounters grounded in reality. Only criticism with this game is the ending. The epilogue is too long but not a horrible addition because more game is better than less, especially when well done. The actual crescendo of the game is a let down, but the first game had a disappointing ending. They wanted to tell an honest story, so the highs throughout the narrative are going to be stronger than it’s end.… Expand

    This game is good. Really good. However, I cannot give it a 10. Even though the story is very controversial, I liked it and it seemed like a good platform to base a story off of. The game play is basically the same as the first game's and they do a good job of switching the guns and how the characters feel. But, the last few hours make up for it as it contains some of the best sequences and game play. This game will make you cry, hell even the credits make you cry. I think the first game is better, but not by much, and that game is an easy 10 for me.… Expand

    The original is in my opinion 1 of the most expertly crafted video games in the history of PlayStation.
    Knowing the developer of this game has been really consistent in making really good games for 20 years...
    So i went into this with a mindset of "it is probably going to be really good like always, but the original is an almost unmatchable masterpiece even for naughty dog." And that's    The original is in my opinion 1 of the most expertly crafted video games in the history of PlayStation.

    And that's pretty much where i ended up placing this game, its really good, but its not quite the 10/10 masterpiece the original was.

    The graphics are some of the best the PS4 has to offer and match those achieved by for example uncharted 4 and god of war. With 0 lag to go along with it.
    The animations are some of the best i have ever seen, so smooth and natural, can not imagine them being better.
    Pacing felt to me as spot on, plenty of variety in gameplay and scenery.
    Level design is as always with naughty dog, masterful. there all amazingly crafted believable and natural yet smooth to play trough, a true treat to play trough.
    Gameplay has been refined pretty strongly, and feels to me as straight up better than the original.
    They seem to have implemented some things they learned from both the original and there uncharted series, and used that experience very well to improve upon the already really good gameplay seen in the original.
    The music is done by the same guy from the original, and matches the original score in ambience and emotional weight. very fitting to them game, wouldn't have picked anyone else.
    The in-game menu's however, felt to me as a downgrade however, i found the on-the-go crafting menu in the original to feel smoother and more logical to navigate trough.

    Now the story... i really liked it, its a really interesting story that takes a lot of sharp bold turns, and does not agitate to do things differently than sequels to really highly regarded originals normally do.
    And that makes for some serious WTF moments, and very hard to swallow events.
    But nothing i could not see as a realistic thing to happen, or unrealistic decision to make.
    Its an emotional rollercoaster that forces you to see things in multiple perspectives in a bold way, and i really liked that.
    Be warned however, this is a dark, dark, story!
    The original's motto was 'if lost in the darkness look for the light', that does not apply to this game and this story any-more, this is a dark and depressing story about death, sorrow, suffering, revenge & forgiveness.
    Not about finding the happiness and beauty in a seemingly devastated world.
    So if you where looking for a light hearted, zombie killing game with a story with lots of happy moods, where you agreeing or getting to choose on how how things go is important... Your looking at the wrong game.

    Honestly, i have trouble really FULLY getting why so many people SO STRONGLY hated this game.
    I feel like i played a different game then them almost.
    I think some people unconsciously had unrealistic expectations. (the game is either as good as the original or sucks)
    Some just had very different expectations as to what the story would would be about, and just couldn't bring themselves to get over the fact that the creators had a different idea than them about things.
    Some allowed the "scandals" around the marketing and release of the game to spoil the game itself.

    All things i can kind of see, if i really force myself to look for them.
    But i just cant understand how people can be in any of the listed situations and say "this game is bad."
    That a game isn't what you expected it to be, does not make it bad!
    That a game isn't a 10/10 masterpiece like its original, does not disqualify it for existing!
    A game does not need to 100% stay true to what you interpreted from a trailer from multiple years before release. People change their minds even game developers, people interpret things wrongly...
    The game itself isn't bad, just because sketchy things are rumoured to have happened around the release.
    A game isn't bad because it contains stuff you politically don't agree with.

    id say, keep, in mind the original is an almost unmatchable masterpiece & this is a very dark game.
    And you will really enjoy it! Highly recommended if you are looking for a dark story driven game, with very smooth and enjoyable gameplay with beautiful graphics in an expertly crafted word.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Firstly, I am not much of a games critic - to the point that this is, my first ever review of a game. The reason why I decided to share my thoughts is the impact that the game had on me. I will not be very original by saying that the game’s morbid story hit me with force of a horse kick. I neither expected nor wanted this feeling … and that is what makes the plot sticks with me.

    I spent around 50 hours of playing the game (in the middle of it my PS4 died and had to start from the scratch) and all of those hours, from beginning to end, created a well-structured and holistic tale of anger, vengeance, trauma & moving on. I think the game should not by any chance be rated in isolation from the first part. The reason for that is the character development, which by many might seem to be inconsistent but in my humble opinion is actually very realistic and simply makes sense. Does Ellie evolve in the direction of ‘good’ protagonist? Definitely not. But why would she? Looking at her childhood experiences, confusing five years of puberty and traumatic events of the first scenes of the game, it seems that falling into the pit of anger and despair is very life-like. The fact that Ellie is more of ‘artistic soul’ makes it even more complex – all those bleak and sorrowful feelings are more intense to her than to other characters. After portraying rise of Ellie in the first game and her fall in the second one I hope Naughty Dog will give the protagonist an opportunity to redeem herself.

    That being said I can go to the next main character, similarly traumatized but experienced by different life circumstances – Abby. I love how I hated Abby at the beginning and during game-play started to understand her motives and find similarities with Ellie. I respect the bravery of creators to ‘force’ players to fill Abby’s shoes. I liked that ‘imposed empathy treatment’ served to me – made me remember that everyone has a story and their own reasons to act in particular way, even if this is not my way. I still treat this part of the plot as a side-story, simply because I sympathize with Ellie more.

    I still miss more developed Joel’s story. Joel died with a terrible death he did not deserve. Don’t get me wrong, I do not think his death was meaningless. It changed Ellie, It changed Abby and I think the intention was to change me as well. His sudden demise still got me left with emptiness and sorrow that was not changed through the entire game.

    When it comes to graphics, it is simply amazing. The world is depicted in a very detailed and, I won’t be afraid to use the word, beautiful way. Audio, including music and sound effects, is mind-blowing. Period. You need to listen to it yourself. I found game-play amusing but simply because I was exploring the world. I understand that focusing only on main plot might seem monotonous. I don’t believe though the game was designed to go from one location to another without delving into details of the post-apocalyptic universe.

    First part of The Last of Us was not about showing adventures of Joel and Ellie. It was about showing struggle to stay human in a dehumanized world through Joel and Ellie’s journey. Is sequel then that much different?

    O la escena sex*al de abby, no era necesario tal escena para dejarnos claro que Abby no es lesbian*

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is just my honest opinion. The reason this review comes so late is because I played the game twice. The first time I was so heartbroken. It totally crushed me. I kept thinking about it for weeks. At that time I found the game **** I wasn't sure of my opinion so I searched people on yt, twitch, etc. who had the same thought of the game as me. The more and more I watched the worse I began to see the game. After that, the game still chased me. I began to wonder, should I give it another shot. So again, I looked up reviews of the game. Now, I only wanted to see positive reviews. After a lot of searching, I found 1 yt-video of Nathan Zeb. The title of the video was:The Last of Us 2 is a Perfect Sequel for the ones who want to watch it. It completed changed my mind. I gave the game a second chance.
    After playing the game twice. I understand now how wrong I was and maybe a lot of people feel this way as well. In my opinion, I think why we saw the game as a **** game is because we are to focused on Ellie and getting revenge. Once you start to look at a different point of view, you realize this game is stunning in every way.
    So to close this off and for the people who just want a recap. Watch that video of Nathan Zeb. Play the game again but try to look at it differently.    … Expand

    В эту игру стоит поиграть. Увы тут есть пропаганда, но ее не много (2-3 раза за 25 часов).
    Тут лучший геймплей, графон и сюжет , который заставит в конце пустить слезу.

    A great game that raises very important topics. Sometimes there are no good or bad. There are people who find themselves in a difficult situation, and it is easy to talk about something from the outside until this misfortune occurs in your life. Very deep and difficult game. The last hours passed with tears.

The game was quite good, i know the story is kinda sucks and confusing, but that's not what the real problem that i saw now, all i see people kept being salty over a story like most of these people are more worst than Neil, and they kept calling his rude names like more rude than Neil himself, all of this drama could have been avoided if those youtubers didn't upload leaks and making a various hate content on people that worked hard on this game, i don't want to be participated in these drama but what i have to say is: Story is 7.5/10, gameplay overall 8/10, graphics 8.5/10, the animation including dismemberment i will give it 8,5/10, and for the characters i'll give it around 7/10, so overall the total is: 90 (9).… Expand

    After reading and watching different reviews I thought the game is not worth buying. I got mine on the winter sale. And I don't regret it.
    Technically the game is awesome. Graphics and gameplay are astonishing. Plot is good, but controversial. It makes you think a lot about revenge, human nature, good and bad.

So almost wonderful but as i said story really really terrible. I can understand abby but the hours we spend with her are not enough to empathize. Honestly, if Ellie killed Abby, I wouldn't regret it. i would feel like a victory. I never felt sorry for Abby throughout the story and tried to play the episodes quickly so that when it would end and take revenge. For all that i still liked it.     Not quite as great as the first, but I was overall very pleased with the final product. The visuals and gameplay is a huge improvement of the first and many other ps4 games, the story was emotionally draining, and the motion capture is beyond amazing. I still believe the pacing and structure could’ve been improved, but it doesn’t take away from the fact the I love this game.

    This game blew me away. I was skeptical from the people telling me it was garbage but after a friend gave me his copy I was shocked on how amazing and innovating this game is with its story writing and it’s attention to detail in gameplay. This is a must play for all gamers

    This game was a profound experiance, equal parts aggravating and traumatizing. I really don't understand people's disappointment, experiancing a story is not always about getting the fuzzy, touchy feely positive buzz. Not every story has a happy ending, and not every story needs one.

    Naugthy Dog nos demuestra que pueden hacer maravillas con el Hardware de ps4, el mundo que te presentan esta increíble mente bien hecho, tiene un nivel de detalle sorprendente, el soudtrack compuesto por Gustavo es un deleite auditivo, y el gameplay es muy divertido (especialmente en la historia de Abby).

The plot, characters, gameplay, visuals - everything is done at an amazing level. The Last Of Us 2 is an example of how games should be made. Best Game of 2020.

    One of the most gripping and impactful games I’ve ever played. I’m still thinking about it 6 months after I finished it. Gameplay is smooth as butter & it set a new graphical standard for any game I play in the future. Story was a little too long but held my attention the entire time. The gameplay is amazing and the kills are satisfying. the graphics are probably the best yet which just amplify the amazing atmosphere. The music, still not better than the 1st game, is pretty good. You play as 2 characters Ellie and Abby. Ellie's story is pretty good, but Abby's story is badly written at times. THe ending didn't feel satisfying to me because Abby doesn't look like Abby at the end, so it doesn't really feel like you're fighting Abby, though the epilogue was great. This is a must have for players who liked the first last of us and for ps4 users in general… Expand

    The game is perfect from the technical point. The graphics, the animations are the best I've seen. The story is dark and full of sorrow. I like that the story has a moral, it shows that there are two sides of a conflict. Great cliffhangers, believable characters. The story is a bit too long.

Almost like a western, and the gory dark gameplay matches it perfectly, the second game though, it does has more obvious problems matching the constant killing with a revenge-story pointed at a single characher that ends in a sort of redemption story, even thoung both Abby and Ellie becomes mass murderers in the process

    I still give it a 9 bc its so extremely ambitious and it actually made me feel things no other game has made me feel, it was one of the closest things to experiencing great art I have experienced playing games.    … Expand

People got mad for Joel’s death and then hated the game for what happened,o think Naughty Dog demonstrate amazingly well how the apocalipse should be,never a happy ending,always a consequence, what Joel did for Ellie may be beautiful for we(despite for the fact that he doomed the world) but for the others was despair, a nice way to think about it is to imagine that The last of us part I was entirely about Abby,and then the bad guy(Joel) killed you father,to me the protagonist is Owen who shows us that perspective of how everyone is good on their point of view,and in this mad,destroyed world,theres nothing left to us besides death.The only party that I desliked about the game was Ellie failing on killing Abby,first of all because she bad nightmares for years about that and then when she has the chance she stops it because of a flashback(?),wasnt the flashbacks that made her seek revenge?and second of all,wasnt the hole point of the game about consequences of our actions?I understood completely Abbys side but she shouldve died,then it would be an amazing sequel if Levi chased after Ellie for revenge,but maybe then he gives her mercy,then ending the “cycle of hatred”.… Expand

It has stellar graphics and gameplay. Although I still feel it was an unnecessary sequel, it was far better to have left the story with the first game & allow the players to ponder on whether Ellie knew or not that Joel lied to her or not to protect her. It was clear to see that she could tell he wasn’t being truthful. The ambiguity was way more impactful than a twisted tail of revenge on the quest for shock value. Boundaries were pushed a bit too much and it fell off the edge in parts. I truly find it hard to believe that Ellie would be that angry towards Joel for saving her life. Her anger towards him made no sense. It was really hard for me to buy into. The story also went on for a bit too long, it felt like if they spot at a certain point it would have made for a better game. I honestly struggle to be sympathetic towards Abby, I was basically on autopilot when I played as her. Part 2 opted for technical brilliance and sacrificed great storytelling. A game leaving the player far worse of than you were going into it isn’t a good mark.

    A magnificent display of talent in every respect. Held back only by the split story because it occasionally leaves you doing things you really don't want to do.

    I think with a split story like this one, alternative gameplay options should be given even if they result in the exact same outcome.

Gameplay is an improvement since the first one and remains satisfying. The soundtrack is simply beautiful. The atmosphere, visuals and attention to detail is top notch here. The main divisive aspect of the game is its story. While I loved the way the story went, I found it to be incohesive compared to the first game. The new characters introduced mainly exist to push Ellie forward in her journey and lack any personality. The ending could have been justifiable if Ellie wasn't so bloodthirsty throughout the game. The game's impact starts to wear off due its long duration (about 25 hours).… Expand

    Finally got around to playing this game. Kept waiting for the story to become bad, what with all the user reviews. Instead I repeatedly cried my heart out over these characters and ended the game with such a sense of completion. Only thing holding this game back (graphics are great, level design is awesome for a linear game) is the central gameplay loop.     This game is a masterpiece. It kept me thinking and wanting to talk about it for the solid two months. One of the best narratives I've ever encountered. 9 not a 10 just because I grew tired of scavenging after a while.

    Beautiful game ! Phenomenal atmosphere, good story. I don't understand such low ratings, this game doesn't deserve it. I recommend everyone to try it and not follow the opinions of others

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
