    I found the game to be very enjoyable. From the story, the gameplay, the sound design, the graphics, etc. It's the type of game that will stay on my mind for a very long time.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Ok, to begin with, I will start by giving my opinion about the gameplay. People have said that the gameplay seems repetitive and, at times, boring because of its resemblance to the first game. You cannot change the main essence of the saga, which is the gameplay. Obviously new movement options have been added such as crawling or climbing.

    Speaking now of the graphics section, there is not much to say. It is one of the best games in terms of graphics, and yet people continue to put mediocre marks, anyway.

    Speaking of the political issue, people have strongly criticized this game for its supposed progressive political propaganda. It doesn't bother me that there are LGTBI characters, what's more, I think this needs to be normalized. What this game has wanted to show is that you can create characters with their own personality. There are people who are surprised to see that Ellie is a lesbian when she has been since the first game, and people are scared. I do not understand why.

    Speaking a bit about the story and the main plot, I think it was a great idea to have created another character (Abby), and use it to put Joel's death in perspective, and I think that is something that very few people ever understand. Abby is not a bad character, her behavior goes through something. We hate her for what she's done to Joel, but people don't remember who Joel was in the first game, he was a smuggler, a bad person. It wouldn't be fair for him to die a hero in this second game either.
    The temporal jumps are also a good idea to understand the history, instead of switching all the history between controlling Ellie and Abby, is better to play 6 hours with one a nd then play another 6 hours with the other,

    To sum up, this game does not deserve a 10, but neither is it a game of 5 or 6 as many people describe it. There is a lot of work behind this game, and for me, it has been one of the best of the generation.    … Expand

    I played the first TLOU for the first time right before jumping into Part2 so with the masterpiece that is part 1 firmly in heart and mind i eagerly fired up Part 2
    And WOW i was not disapointed what a game!! What an experience. The emotions soared to dizzying heights and crashed to utterly devestating lows as i the player felt the full relentless impacts the characters experienced as if    I played the first TLOU for the first time right before jumping into Part2 so with the masterpiece that is part 1 firmly in heart and mind i eagerly fired up Part 2
    And WOW i was not disapointed what a game!! What an experience. The emotions soared to dizzying heights and crashed to utterly devestating lows as i the player felt the full relentless impacts the characters experienced as if they were happening to you. I felt the anger i felt the love i felt the dread, dispare the confliction. I have now completed the game twice on survivor/+ and can fully understand the polarised fanbase. The story is not for the faint hearted you will be challenged but it will be worth the journey if you can make it to the end and have an open minded and reflective outlook. I found myself emotionally exhausted but unable to to stop thinking about the game for weeks afterwards thank you naughty dog    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Great game. I believe that the hate is exaggerated and it’s mostly people who have read the leaks and then didn’t buy the game. Trust me most people I have spoke with who avoided spoilers then played the game loved it. Personally, I understand the hate but I also understand why people believe it is a masterpiece. There is some pacing issues but does a lot of things very well. The combat is pretty similar to the first one but they’ve added all the things you wished you could do in the first one making Ellie much more agile than Joel - kind of like an uncharted meets TLOU 1. Overall this game is a rollercoaster of emotions that will never leave you. I recommend this game to anyone who is on the fence about it!… Expand

    El juego está excelente en cuanto a mecánicas, detalles, jugabilidad, paisajes y "realismo". La historia no está mal del todo, de hecho es muy buena, lo único que hace que reciba malas críticas es que tiene un argumento diferente al que se esperaba ya desde hace años de su anunciamiento.

    I actually enjoyed this game. I believe it to be game of the year. An emotional roller coaster. They did a good job with the story mixing. I wasn't too fond of the hidden cultural type of propaganda behind certain characters. However, the overall game was very well done.

    Immersive/intense gameplay and a story that ties perfectly with the first game. My only negative is some of the choices that the game forces you to make to empathize with a certain character can be a bit forced and manipulative.

    The game is nearly perfect. The graphics are amazing.
    The game play can compared to the one of part one. But they made it better (Especially the moving and hiding).

    The story is amazing. It' s not of theses thousands of stories good fighting evil. It is humans fighting humans. Both sides are doing good things and evil things. That makes the story really realistic. The story is about humans struggling with themselves and what society wants them to be. So this isn t a story to make you feel good. It is a story to make you think about what you explore. And you have to think a lot.
    By playing both sides the player learns, to know different points of views for one incident. And so in the end it isn't easy to say what ist wrong and what ist right, or if there even is wring and right.

Это правда игра, которая заслуживает внимания, особенно тогда, когда ты ее ждал 7, сука, лет. Я бы снял 2 балла, все-таки в ней есть минусы, но за ТАКОЙ не заслуженый хейт в ее сторону, я хоть и не много, но хочу восстановить справедливость. Да, она не идеальна, над ней постарались вонючие фемки и другая шваль, внешность Элли могла быть намного красивее, как и Дины. Но заметьте, даже после того, как Ноти Дог под давлением фашистов, изуродовали Элли, она все равно прекрасна, как ни крути.По поводу ЛГБТ, скажу так, мне по душе такая раскладка личном плане Элли, это иногда очень мило и не смотрится, конечно как то отвратительно по сравнению со сценой, как раком ставят Эбби, тем более, как мы видим из дополнения, Элли уже в детстве нравились только девочки. Так что, я не считаю, что есть прям прямая пропаганда. И еще кардинальный минус этой игры, это парт за Эбби. Мне, как и многим игрокам, она не понравилась и я бы хотел в идеале, чтобы он был хотя бы чуть-чуть по меньше. Но я примерно предполагаю, почему это сделано. Я думаю, это ради еще большей привязанности к Элли в сравнение с Эбби. Вообщем игра отличная и полита дерьмом она совсем не справедливо. Напридумывали себе что-то, задрали планку выше небес и потому ноете: «почему так слааабо». Я люблю The Last of Us. И эти игры для меня теперь самые любимые.… Expand

I would hate for you to have to think critically or expand your horizons. It’s a shame how many people left crap reviews and they clearly didn’t even play long enough to let the storyline unfold. Тот редкий случай когда после прохождения хочется думать о происходящем, о мотивации, причинах, следствиях и персонажах в целом. Большое число деталей работает на повествование, все работает как пазл, который к концу собирается.

    The game had me gripped. It’s the first game in a long time where I was sucked into the story. It’s gritty, it’s dark and it’s not “fun” - but it’s fantastic.

    Después de haberle echado más de 30 horas al juego he podido ver que es un juego sobresaliente. Audiovisualmente es increíble tanto en gráficos (escenarios, iluminacion, animaciones...) como en sonido (banda sonora, sonidos de ambiente, doblaje...) Tiene un diseño de escenarios soberbio, con una cantidad de exploración y de coleccionables muy alta, que además alargan el juego y no se teDespués de haberle echado más de 30 horas al juego he podido ver que es un juego sobresaliente. Audiovisualmente es increíble tanto en gráficos (escenarios, iluminacion, animaciones...) como en sonido (banda sonora, sonidos de ambiente, doblaje...) Tiene un diseño de escenarios soberbio, con una cantidad de exploración y de coleccionables muy alta, que además alargan el juego y no se te hace para nada aburrido explorar y recoger estos. El sistema de combate mejora bastante respecto al tlou 1, ya que aquí se le añade a Ellie y a Abby la habilidad de esquivar, no solo eso, si no que también tenemos un árbol de habilidades mucho más grande y complejo, y un sistema de crafteo excelente, aunque sin cambiar mucho del original. Además de esto cuando combates con varios enemigos (ya sean infectados o no) el juego te obliga a pensar fríamente tu estrategia, ya que la inteligencia artificial de los enemigos hace que no te valga cualquier estrategia, que por cierto, esta, como os podréis imaginar, es increíble. Pero el juego también tiene puntos negativos y para mi estos están en la historia, ya que está no tiene ni de lejos la calidad del tlou 1.(Alerta spoiler) Para empezar porque creo que matar a Joel de esa forma fue una decisión horrible por parte de naughty dog, está bien que maten a un personaje, ya que eso te da incentivos a asesinae al que lo hizo, pero matar a Joel de esa forma tan humillante me dio hasta asco. Como he dicho matar a un personaje está bien, pero tienes que elegir según el personaje, si quieres que este muera como un perro o como un heroe (y para mi Joel debería de haber muerto de esta forma). Yo personalmente creo, que si le tienes mucho cariño al personaje (como es mi caso) te puede arruinar un poco la experiencia. Una de las cosas que más he visto a la gente quejarse es del final, ya que Ellie no mata a Abby pese a haber matado a mucha más gente en el pasado, bien, se que mucha no va a estar de acuerdo conmigo pero yo creo que si tú te tomas el final como que quiere dar un mensaje, este es muy bueno. El juego quiere que tu enpatices con el supuesto villano del juego, y que veas que aquí no hay ni malos ni buenos, por lo tanto teniendo en cuenta eso, que no muera Abby es algo que está bien. Entiendo que si ves el final desde un punto de vista lógico te parezca una basura, pero como he dicho antes, intenta tomártelo como un mensaje, para que veas que la mayoría de villanos tienen motivos para hacer lo que hacen. Mi veredicto final es que este es un juego sobresaliente, al que no le pongo un diez porque flojea en ciertos puntos de la trama, pero si te gusto el tlou 1 deberías de jugar a este sin dudarlo

    El juego es 10/10 con respecto a la jugabilidad, gráficos, fluidez, etc. En lo personal la historia me gustó, hay cosas que no me gustaron pero que son entendíbles así como hay otras que no termino de entender, para mi es un muy buen juego y no me decepciono, felicidades para los chicos que están detrás de esto. Un juego que pueda tener esa montaña rusa de emociones a cada rato es un juegoEl juego es 10/10 con respecto a la jugabilidad, gráficos, fluidez, etc. En lo personal la historia me gustó, hay cosas que no me gustaron pero que son entendíbles así como hay otras que no termino de entender, para mi es un muy buen juego y no me decepciono, felicidades para los chicos que están detrás de esto. Un juego que pueda tener esa montaña rusa de emociones a cada rato es un juego que se merece mi respeto y admiración.     a mi en lo personal me encantó el juego, la historia... casi todo. Lo que más duele obviamente es la muerte de Joel pero es comprensible por qué sucede, ya que él a lo largo de tlou1 dice que mató a mucha gente inocente sin obtener consecuencias hasta que su pasado lo alcanza. Entiendo y comprendo por qué Abby mató a Joel.
    Me encanta que el juego te enseñe que el malo no es tan malo y    a mi en lo personal me encantó el juego, la historia... casi todo.     Even if some people disliked this sequel, I personally think this game is very enjoyable and fun to play. The main requirement to have a good time playing it is approaching Tlou2 open-minded, and trying to accept what happens. Apart from some story moments Tlou2 is a perfect game.

Now the story, personally I think it was ok, it wasn’t a masterpiece but it wasn’t a garbage as a lot of people say. As a play I felt like the more I advanced, the more Ellie suffers, and for me that’s what a lot of people hate, but that is life my friends. You can’t always think things through and when you realised where are you standing, it might be too late. Now about Abby, I never liked her, not ever after the time we play as her, and I hated when you have to fight Ellie as Abby. I also didn’t like what they did Tommy at the end, I felt it was unnecessary. Now the finale, I expected a lot worst, I don’t know what people expected, but for me, I didn’t want to kill Abby. It was like if Ellie killed her, she would truly lost her way and probably wouldn’t be able to get better(also I like Lev and it was like taking the last thing that he/she has). Also I understood it as a way of forgiving Joel. It was a way of finding the light. I liked that. She didn’t lose everything because she finally finds herself. Dina will forgive her. Trust me. I also think that the more attention you put to the little things the more you like the story but maybe that’s something more personal. Sorry for my English. Alright have seeing all the massive negativity thrown this games way, especially on the DAY of the launch, I was expecting to a moderate level of story structure with character development and story arcs to be about the same if not worse. I was surprisingly wrong and not that shocked at the massive amount of negativity thrown toward this games direction. It's on par with the DMC: Devil May Cry game, when that came out a lot of people were just hating on the game and blasting it online. Now onto the giant elephant in the room with this game, Joel's death. That seemed to solidify a lot of peoples hatred for this from the get go which, again, I can understand why they were made but I don't understand why they couldn't look past their anger. This game is very much different in it's story telling then any game I can think of, it feels more a kin to an actual novel then your standard story in a game and that I think is fantastic. It shows Naughty Dog is willing to elevate and evolve the way we tell stories in games which is something that has to change. Many games now-a-days fall victim to the obvious flow and point system. For example, whens the last time you played a game when you were in your enemies shoes? When's the last time you played a game where you were running around and gunning down the people shooting at you then next minute you are seeing their actual day to day operations and camps that have men, women, and children just doing their best to survive a horrible situation. Now that's not to say all you get are sunshine and rainbows on the other end, you do see their darker sides, like the toture and suffering they were inflicting on the captured Seraphites. Or their real lack of compassion toward anyone that is not fully with them, that's an encompassing story. There's an author, Sherillyn Kenyon, who has done this exact thing with certain characters in her stories, not afraid of showing them at their lowest points and their highest. To me this game elevated from where the original took off and just kept reaching for higher aspirations.

    If you REALLY feel the story was bad, that's fine. But if your only major complaint is that Joel is dead and you have to play as his murderer and understand her side of the story. Then your opinion doesn't matter because what Naughty Dog did here was great and it should be respected as such.    … Expand

    I get that some people are not happy with things that happens throughout the story. But even if that is the case, you cannot deny that this game is very well executed. Graphics, sound, gameplay, acting is all excellent. So all the reviews that give this game a 0-5 score are just hating.
    I myself found the story compelling, heartwarming at times, heartbreaking at times. Only few games have    I get that some people are not happy with things that happens throughout the story. The death of certain loved characters is frustrating and disappointing but we should already know that that's the idea of the game and to be honest I wasn't expecting a good ending or a good start for a very dramatic apocalyptic game. And sure this game is one of the best there is.… Expand

    After playing the game, I really don't understand why it is getting so much hate. The visuals are stunning, the gameplay is improved as much as possible and the story has so many layers to it that it reminds me of a book (which people often overlook). If the first game got 10, this one is surely a solid 9.

    This game is polarizing to say the least. Let’s start with talking about the elephant in the room, the story and the characters. In my opinion this story was GREAT. It made me feel so many emotions that I have a hard time to even comprehend. In my opinion the story was crafted so finely that the emotions you feel so closely corresponds with the characters that you are interacting with that it almost feels like you are there and experiencing the loss and despair.

    When Joel got killed in front of me I felt a hole in my heart that I didn’t know how to fill again, if this isn’t great storytelling I don’t know what is. To be able to make the players feel this connected to these characters is a feat of its own.
    Through the whole journey this made me feel a connection with a main character that I have never felt before, I was just as angry and lost as Ellie through this emotional horror story. The part of the story that I had a hard time with was some parts of Abby’s storyline. My only gripe with it though is that it was too long. That said I like the direction Naughty Dog went with it though. Starting Abby’s side of the story when you still hate her and want nothing else than to finish her off to growing to sympathise with her by the end of her storyline. I never liked her, but you don’t have too and I think that’s the point. She, just as Joel and Ellie isn’t perfect. They all screw up, get people close to them killed and does anything and everything to succeed in their own crusades.

    Let’s talk about the gameplay.
    This game, more than the first one, has really nailed what the gameplay should be in this world. Searching for ammo feels rewarding and makes the world more real when you have to scavenge around the whole map to find useful items. The fact that you can go in and out of stealth also really sells the probability of the world more, as being caught by an enemy no longer feels like you messed up the section but instead you just have to adapt your approach and adjust on your feet when something goes wrong!
    The gameplay also makes a great addition to the story, matching the gameplay to the two different characters which also helps to sell the world.

    I’m not saying the game doesn’t have flaws, because it does. It’s not air-tight but god damn it’s good. Like they could have been more clear with how overwhelming the horde of infected where to further sell why Joel and Tommy would follow Abby in the first place. Mostly to show people that this is still the hardened and careful Joel that we knew from the first game. This will, after the smoke of war has settled, be considered a masterpiece and will definitely be remembered as great game. I remember when the first game came out how many people (including myself) right after finishing the story also where pretty mad at it for robbing the player of what felt as the goal of the game. But after thinking about it and playing it again, I was in love with it and I think a lot of people would feel the same way about this game if they gave it a chance with an open mind!

Появилась веревка, добавили возможность ползать в траве, новые улучшалки для оружий, прибамбасы и т.д. 2) Графика: очень крутая, тут вопросов нет. Одна из самых красивых игр на пс4. 3) Сюжет. Многие люди считают сюжет второй Ластухи ужасным, многим не нравится, что нам дают играть за Эбби, непонятны действия персонажей и т.д. Но мне, наоборот, было очень интересно играть за Эбби, так как разработчики дали нам посмотреть на эту историю с другой стороны. Вначале мы ненавидели Эбби и сопереживали Элли. В конце, во время финальной битвы между девушками, я уже даже не хотел бить Эбби, она мне стала гораздо ближе, чем Элли. В этом и была главная задумка игры, как мне кажется. Меня сюжет и такое развитие персонажей очень тронули. 4) Эмоции. По эмоциям для меня вторая часть намного круче первой. Здесь я реально рыдал на финальных титрах. Очень эмоциональная, депрессивная концовка, да и музыка в титрах как всегда на высоте, в общем с точки зрения эмоций это наверно самая сильная игра, в которые я играл.
    Ну и минусы, которые нельзя обойти стороной, за что, собственно, 1 балл я снял: 1) Оптимизация. У меня проблем не было, но я видел очень много отзывов и скринов людей, которые жаловались на баги, провалы персонажей в текстуры и прочее. Думаю, с патчами это постараются пофиксить. 2) СЖВ-повестка. Она здесь действительно присутствует, но не в таком количестве, чтобы на самом старте продаж игры бежать и ставить ей толпой нули... Повестка есть, с этим спорить нет смысла, взять хотя бы Лева, который не мальчик на самом деле, а девочка, помню пару разговоров персонажей про лгбт, очень меня "порадовала" огромная страшная женщина с молотом, это чистый фем-продукт, конечно. Но надо признать, что лгбт-повестка игроку не навязывается и присутствует скорее для галочки. Без этого спокойно можно было бы обойтись, но таковы современные тенденции, к сожалению. Отношения Дины и Элли смотрятся очень органично и мило, тем более на фоне дополнения первой части. Также в игре есть беременные, поэтому повторю еще раз: пропагандой лгбт эта игра разумеется не является, просто она "слишком толерантна" и следует современным тенденциям, что многим геймерам не понравилось. 3) Тяжелый старт. Игра очень долго раскрывается, и, пожалуй, действительно интересной становится только с того момента, когда мы начинаем играть за Эбби.
    В общем, резюмируя, игра получилась супер противоречивой, супер обсуждаемой, супер странной, но мне понравилось. Очевидные минусы отрицать трудно, но полученные эмоции от этой игры для меня перевесили все ее недостатки, поэтому 9 из 10 я считаю справедливой оценкой.    … Expand

    The gameplay is brutal, immersive and fast paced. After finishing the game, in about 24 hours, I was conflicted at first. The story is not the greatest but not as totally disappointing as some people make you believe.     Um game fantástico.. possui simplesmente as melhores expressões faciais que já vi em um jogo de video game. Gráficos de Ponta, Trilha Sonora épica, Jogabilidade semelhante a do primeiro, porém melhorada em novos aspectos (principalmente com a adição da esquiva, algo muito positivo ao meu ver), mapas bem grandes se comparado ao do primeiro game com diversos locais para se explorar.     I liked the quality of the AI for the stealth mission aspect of the game. How the enemy looks for you is better than any other game that I've played.
    Also I liked the feeling the bigger maps give compared to TLOU I. For moments it felt as an open world game.

A message for angry players: we dont have to criticize consumed by hatred, if you dont liked the game that's perfect, but The Last Of Us Part II doesnt deserve a 0.

    Awesome gameplay with terrible decision making. Druckman lied to us all and I cant come to terms with it. U never kill you know who, it makes no sense. Gameplay is a 10 but after that death it feels worthless to play. Make a 3rd game with ellie and Joel I dont know how you can do it but just do it Last of us is about joel and ellie.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Last of Us was an acknowledged and overt homage to the work of Cormac McCarthy. It was groundbreaking in the video game world, there was nothing like it in so many ways. Since it's release it solidified itself as one of the best pieces of post-apocalyptic/zombie entertainment, game play was overshadowed by character development, story, and immersion. And it remains in my top 3 games all time. The followup was plagued by externalities, including leaks, assumptions, and bigotry, and the mixed bag of reviews is indicative of that. However, not every negative review should be attributed to bias. There is a lot to hate in this game for some players, and in that way, this game is more similar to a Cormac McCarthy novel than the original. This is not a game you play for fun, I certainly didn't have much "fun," but I was absolutely entertained. It is gritty and uncomfortable, the characters make decisions you wouldn't because they have lived lives that you haven't. Real life doesn't have nice wrapped up endings and clearly defined protagonists, who all make the most reasonable decisions, and antagonists, who act as they do without reason. This is a complex tail that mirrors the random nature of the real world. We lost characters we cherished, both by death and fundamental loss of their character to revenge, rage, and ptsd. If the future of storytelling entertainment is in games, LOU2 took a massive step towards that future. I loved the story, but I also hated many of the decisions made in it. My opinions and feelings towards the main characters changed through the story, and I don't know where they stand now that it has ended. This was an emotionally draining experience, which is a complexity I am happy to see so well done in this medium.
    As far as the game play goes, I enjoyed it substantially more than the first. I argue that this is the best game play of any Naughty Dog production. The style of play feels noticeably different between characters. Stealth is achieved expertly, and gunfights balance between realistic and enjoyable. Where this game has fewer overt puzzles than the first, combat itself feels more like a puzzle here. Combat increases difficulty well, and doesn't have massive jumps in difficulty that the first did. Also, the loads after deaths are the fastest I have ever experienced, there is almost no wait. Overall, I am very happy with this game, and I think it did the original justice. I understand why others didn't feel the same, playing was sometimes a struggle because of how uncomfortable it made me, but it was a huge step forward for what games will be in the future, and I loved the experience.    … Expand

    Game play doesn't change much from the 1st game but the few additions make combat encounters more immersive and intense. No encounter is the same as the previous one whether that maybe the enemy variation or the environment of which you face them. the combat always keeps you on your feet especially on harder difficulties in which you are forced to use everything in your arsenal in different ways that just sneaking behind enemies or going to a shootout. things like what i said keep the combat fresh and prevents it from getting stale.
    Technically its a masterpiece. i encountered a few bugs in the lighting and maybe a few rendering issues but overall it's solid. The music perfectly captures the world of The Last of Us much like the 1st game and perfectly add up to the intensity of story moments, Combat encounters etc.
    Overall The Last of Us Part II is an experience i shall never forget and something like this must be taken with an open mind to fully enjoy and understand the motives of this game.    … Expand

However, in my pathetic 19 years on earth, I have never had any form of entertainment medium make me ball my eyes out like how this game has done for me. And I mean that in a good way. If this game were to of given me choices throughout the game that would change the storyline whether subtle or drastic, I honestly would have put my controller down and walked away. Having that feeling of helplessness in a narrative like this fits perfectly. It’s uncomfortable to play in all the best ways. It's a tale about wrath, forgiveness, hate and how emotions can cause people to lash out in anger. Ironic considering the backlash this game has garnered. The plot focuses on Ellie as she seeks vengeance against a girl named Abby after witnessing someone close to her murdered. We witness her go through everyone responsible. Then, after an altercation with Abby, developer Naughty Dog, throws a massive curveball. You now have to play as her! We discover Abby’s reasons for what she did and play through her attempts to regain some humanity. Right off the bat let’s address the big, massive, humongous elephant in the room. Playing as Abby after killing a beloved character is difficult. You want nothing more than for Ellie to put a bullet between her eyes. Yet Naughty Dog managed to get me to Empathise with her. Showing that a heroic act for someone can be a villainous act for another. For instance there’s this mission with a sniper. If you’ve played any third person shooter you know the deal. You can’t fire back, all you can do is get closer to them. They attract infected and make you take a ton of damage. You instinctively start to despise this sniper. However when you confront them. You realise it’s actually a character you like. It’s details like this that make The Last Of Us Part 2 special.… Expand

I think it's also a story about hope and survival. The writers did an amazing job on the storytelling (except I would have liked Abby's part of the game to be not as poorly written).
    Game play: 9/10 - Amazing except for the few rare bugs here and there
    Graphics: 10/10 - The graphics in The Last of Us 2 are just amazing. The attention to detail has never been this good in any video game (just my opinion).
    Music: 10/10 - The music for The Last of Us 2 was also incredible, and I feel like it set a very high standard for video game music to come.
    Overall: 9/10 - This is due to some bits of the writing that I thought too much was put into (in some cases, lack of thereof), and also the rare bugs and glitches here and there.    … Expand

    Aun así, me ha sorprendido, mucho. Creo que es un imprescindible. Si el primer juego está en el top 5 de todos los tiempos para mi, este estaría en el top 20.
    Si has juegas al    Puedo comprender que a mucha gente no le haya gustado la historia, pero no porque sea mala, sino porque no es lo que parecía que iba a ser. Me acuerdo del primer trailer, y el juego no tiene nada que ver con el.

Abby's personality may have had a huge influence from joels actions so you have to take that in mind, and you cant just be blindly in love with your main characters of before because these have flaws also, like ellies relentless path of revenge contrary to her desire to have been used for the best for humanity, joel was selfish in a way too, saving a life you care implies sacrificing many others in this case (gray choice of a gray character also), talking about ellie humanity and the struggles of PTSD was great, game also shows the complexity of human minds when taking rash choices as when they decide to let each other live, as they somehow learn the value of life, and try to redeem thwmselves, whicj was the sanest choice imo. my point is the main characters are just as gray as anybody else , not black or white not bad or good, the emotional impact of the final battle beetween them got me greatly, taking that all in mind.… Expand

    I did not see any trailer or information before I played this game. My only expectations were the ones I got from playing the first part.

    I believe this game is amazing graphically. I felt like a horrible person playing this game and I think that is the beauty of this game, it made me feel many kinds of ways, including ways I never felt before playing a game.     The story is not what I expected but I went into the ride the creators presented to us and I think it made sense at the end. I wish I had played a different story but that doesn't change that this revenge story was bad, it was really great in my opinion.

    Things that would have made it a 10 for me.

    Maybe changing the pacing. I was too impatient to get to the theatre when I was playing as Abby, which made me enjoying Abbys part a bit less, or not pay so much attention to her point of view because I was more interested in what would happen after.

    The combat system became a bit tedious before the end, I would have been happy with a slightly shorter game.

    I have read some reviews and realized that people are really angry at the misleading trailers of the game. I totally sympathize with those people. I believe is not ethically right to mislead the audience, you either don't present any trailer or present a faithful one. I always stay away from trailers as much as possible, so I cant get angry for that, but please stop this kind of behaviour in the media industry, misleading is not an honest way to subvert expectations.    … Expand

Simplemente no me gusta cómo nos han contado la historia, eso no significa que esté mal.     Quite simply a masterpiece. Probably one of the most cinematic games I've played. It was not the story most gamers expected but still a story filled with surprises and twists and turns. incredibly beautiful, intense, smooth gameplay and a great atmosphere. This is a must!

Game is freaking awesome, just finished it and I had to hold my tears, it starts as a revenge story and then becomes a redemption story a forgiveness story and how hard it is for the characters to let go, Joel’s death is pivotal in how the game develops, creates questions, who is Abby why did she killed him, how is Ellie gonna react why did Ellie and Joel not getting along now, does Ellie knows all the truth? And after the setup is complete and you are in a rampage killing scars and Wolfs you are presented with Abby story, which I compare with Raiden in MGS2 it forces you to look on the other side of the mirror, to get control of a character you hate and understand her motivations motivations is a great way to put yourself in someone else’s shoes, may say that her story is plain, I disagree, her story is an evolution of dogma and doctrine to free think and been able to make her own decisions and acceptance of someone who things oposite to you. Overall is a great experience and I believe that anyone without prejudices will enjoy this game… Expand

    It's a pretty good game , it does have some mistakes on the script , but it is still so good.
    It makes you cry , makes you feel angry , and then you don't know how to feel when you are in the middle of the campaign because now you know things that you didn't at the beginning of it.

Fans don't write the story, the developers own us nothing, just because our favourite character died doesn't mean the game is bad, actually is awesome. They did the same that did in the last one, they explore the human nature, emotions and what drives a person to go over the edge and lose themselves because they are broken. I have never seen better written characters in any other game in my life. And love or hate Abby, her character and depth are somenthing to admire, which doesn't mean that she has to be a great person, she isn't, but sorry to tell you, neither is Ellie, both of them lose themselves, but some times do the right thing, when they think of someone more than themselves. And the way they close the game, with Abby being this protective and maternal figure, like Joel with Ellie, just warms my heart, and at the same time reminds me of what we lost because of Abby, it's bittersweet, but i think that she needed the chance to redeem herself. And we gotta admite, Abby's section had more exciting gameplay, and even tho I hated when they made me start playing as Abby I ended up loving it, specially in my second run, it hits different knowing everything that happens. And the gameplay it's so smooth and good, i love the mecanics, so good. So, people, stop hating on the game because Joel's death, or the fact that Abby can kick ass because she is **** strong, its not "unnatural", its pretty damn cool finally seeing a strong woman in a videogame, not fighting zombies in a dress and highheels (like Ada in RE, none complains about this one and it is the actually unrealistic one). I also admire that they big such a protagonist role to a trasgender character and I couldn't be happier about it, this is how you present and put on a game a trasgender character, this is what helps normalize this diversity, and if you just don't agree with this character because of who he is, and you think it's not necessary to have him in the game then you are part of the problem and transfobic as **** I'm in love with this game, the audacity of the developers and just the story and everything, makes me emocional and cry every time I play it. They outdone themselves. And as I write this I just want to go back to play it for the fourth time. I hope you have had enjoyed as much as I had, and you continue doing it. I will give it a 10 if it wasn't for three things that bothered me. Number one, some stupid glitches that shouldn't be there and really annoyed me. Second, Dina and Ellie were cute, but too chesse for me sometimes and their scenes were too long when I just wanted to go back to play, like some other cinematics, too long, plus Dina's pregnancy was just weird, a bomb exploded next to her and then she fell of a cristal glass in the celling, and more things that would have probably kill her fetus, I think at least. And the third thing it's the final, I was glad that Abby survived and Ellie did the right thing letting her go because Lev and Abby reminded her of her relationship with Joel and she knew she couldn't do to Lev what Abby did to her, and I understand the irony in Ellie's story and final, what she was most scared of all happened, ended up alone, in that beach. But I really hated that she went back to the house and we had that scene with Joel at the end, I feel like we should have watched that scene way before and the perfect and poetic (painful nonetheless) final would have being just the beach, in my personal opinion.

    I enjoyed the game very much. The story is not particularly complex but it triggers an emotional roller coaster.

    The Abby part felt a little too long in the end, but I didn't find it bad.

    Many new interesting characters for which I am grateful. But I'm even more grateful for our girl Ellie. She is such a strong woman

    Everyone who likes the genre should have played this game at least once.

    Por cierto, me encanto poder controlar a Abby para ver su punto de vista de los actos que estamos haciendo con Ellie previamente.

    Excellent sequel. Top notch acting, facial animation & dialogues serve a good story, probably too subtle for an audience used to play a hero against a super villain. Gameplay loop is addictive, realisation is flawless. A must play if you're an open minded and mature gamer.

Not counting people who just couldn't go on with it and criticized it for this, most people used this site writing what they heard happens from leaks, and never looked back, or even make their votes depend completely on the narrative.
    I get that the story is the most important part of it, and has many problems. In my opinion, Naughty Dog themselves made mistakes trying to address complex themes. But a vote from 1 to 4 means that EVERYTHING that game had to offer was garbage and since there's a technical compartment, it HAS to be rewarded. Visuals and sound are unimaginable for this generation of consoles and whatever opinion we have on the game, it's objectively going to be at least a 6 for everything besides the story.

    That said, I'm not going to say my reasons for the vote I gave, I think there's plenty of good and bad reviews in here to watch. I just wanted to do my part in trying to make this community less toxic with this message

    PS. For everyone criticizing that Abby is trans just because has big muscles and using it to make their point on why this game sucks, you should consider writing down on that same review what is like to be a clown.    … Expand

    At least if the user has given him a chance to choose whether to play Abby.

It's a brilliant game which really portraits humanity at its worst when **** has hit the fan. It left me sad, somewhat depressed and thoroughly engrossed in the story. I felt it was extremely smart to give us the point of view of opposed characters. To all the people moaning about Joels death by the hands of Abby, please re-play both games and consider who the bigger monster of those two are/were... My only real gripe with the story is the apparent foregone conclusion thst the vaccine is dead. It's repeated over and over as an established truth. But keep in mind for p3 that Ellie, the immune, is still very much alive... That's the redemption arc I'd like to see down the line.… Expand

    Fantastic game even when it is not what you expected (history), amazing graphics, truly wonderful characters. Masterpiece that shocks you at the beggining of the adventure and makes you feel many hard emotions. Just one of the greatest games ever only hated for the fanboys that expected happy endings and beautiful smiles everywhere. In love with it forever and got my platinum trophy.

    I played at this title the day it came out and in a few days, I immediately finished it. I liked it so much! Recommended and excellent choice of narration. In my opinion, were able to add small things in the narration. 9/10
