Extremely average. What made the original interesting was the choice at the end, it was cool to play a game where you were the bad guy; but the "wrong" decision Joel made at the end of the first game was a decision most people would make.

The way Part 2 sets up the story within the first 3 hours makes it seem like a revenge story, but by the end it becomes something completely

The way Part 2 sets up the story within the first 3 hours makes it seem like a revenge story, but by the end it becomes something completely different, and Ellie's motivations are a little odd, with an ultimately unsatisfying end that leaves things wide open for a sequel.

The graphics are great, the gameplay is okay (Similar to the original, leaving much to be desired) and as before the music is fantastic. The story is a very disappointing followup. Character's motivations are odd, and out of character nearing the end of the game. The pacing is odd at times, trying to weave together two stories meeting at some point.

It was impossible to follow up the greatness of the original, but this doesn't even come anywhere near furthering the legacy. If you want great graphics and decent gameplay, I'm sure you'll have fun playing the game, but I'm certain you'll feel as unfulfilled as I did 6 hours into the game, all the way through to the end. If a sequel were to come out, I just can't get excited about a ND game again after everything I loved about the original was butchered.

Honestly, I LOVED the story. It really hit me and I've been pondering it all week. The story was great. The animation was mind-blowing. The acting was just incredible. The outdoor environment was absolutely beautiful. The cinematics were fantastic.

Cons: Sneaking around the enemies and looting houses seemed too repetitive without as much variety as I would have liked. I appreciated how there was more racial diversity with the zombies... but it seemed like they all bought the same generic shirt at Target. lol There wasn't too much variance in body type either. What if you had an OP zombie in a wheelchair or chubby ladies and some chubby guys? Add some personality you know?

Switching my weapons was too slow and resulted in frustration, especially when in a life or death situation. I felt like accessing my inventory was an unnecessary frustration.

But seriously... I enjoyed this game. It was great. And I'm excited to see more people speak up once they've completed the story. I definitely recommend it 100%

It's definitely on my Top 10 list.

As much as the first is a masterpiece, the second opus is a scriptural disaster sprinkled with a touch of ideological propaganda and morality biased by the progressiveness of our world. It’s not a focal point of the story, but even putting it aside, the story isn’t intriguing at all and the ending is catastrophic.
Those who have not played it yet and who have enjoyed the 1, I advise you to

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I feel this game was for shock value but overall leave you feeling empty. Last of us Part 2 throws always character logic and experiences out the window with unnatural choices for plot convenience. Try hard feel bad for abby but poorly done. All to setup for Part3. This is story driven game and will always be. Character throwed to side and go no where. It's truly disservice to first game and how rare it was. Lighting in bottle can only last so long if you force it. This game didn't need a sequel and I feel still doesnt. Part 2 felt like every damn story takes place in the last of us and violence for violence. Revenge for revenge. First game was different because only Joel and ellie can have this journey. Okay some postives- Best part of Last of Us Part 2 is when Manny gets popped by Tommy in abby campaign. I laughed so hard because felt good because after hours playing as abby didn't enjoy. Plus Manny looked like neil drukmann. Also the visuals look beautiful, music, voice acting, and similar gameplay from last of us with more improvements. Overall this game is story focused game not because graphics look good or anything. If story isnt well put together then it fails to hit its mark. Its has alot plotholes in the story, feels choppy and characters introduced just one and done. Then overall the story fails in me caring about the next hour of game or where it goes. Truly felt like Game of thrones season 8. It was confusing how characters acted and played out. Overall its 1 time play game for me. Also it ain't about Joel death.Jessie /dinah and even ellie characters were hurt by poor writing. So in end-Good bye to last of us 1 making rich world/characters that made moments so beloved and unique. Sadly your successor is hollow inside and out. Expand

Sadly the sequel completely and utterly destroys everything you've come to love from the first game and actively makes you regret ever playing it.

    SPOILERS

The main character from the first game, Joel, gets killed in one of the most brutal and unceremonious ways possible making your heart sink and then forces you to play as the killer for many, many, many hours. The only other event that made me feel the way that scene made me feel was when Glenn from the walking dead got his head bashed in by a baseball bat. I stopped watching the show afterwards, not because it was unusual for characters to die once in a while but because it was one of the major main characters you had come to love and really care about and the only reason he died the way he did was because it would invoke a bigger emotional reaction than if he had died from anything else. Joel's death was used the same way, only to make the player feel terrible and nothing else. Later on you get to play as Joel's killer for a long time, no, just no. If the point of this game was to entertain the player and make them feel good while doing so, it has done exactly the opposite. I don't remember the last time I bought something because I wanted to feel horrible for dozens of hours willingly. I don;t understand the rage about politics or sexual orientation of certain characters, who cares, it's not even remotely important in the scope of the bigger issue of this game. The only things the game does right are graphics, animations and sound. The story is utter complete garbage, the character development is also utter and complete garbage and everything else in between bar the 3 pros listed previously. I can't remember the last time I was as disappointed with a sequel from a game or movie I loved so much for so many reasons and somehow, one of the greatest video game companies decided to ruin it all. If you enjoy feeling complete despair, sadness, tension, more sadness and despair, this game is for you. If on the other hand you enjoy feeling good and not have buyer's remorse, this game is absolutely not for you.

The way Joel dies is an insult to the character and makes no sense (why would he trust some strangers?)
The fact Abby leaves at the end is also ridiculous. How many people does Ellie kill to get to her exactly?

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game plot walks you out of the comfy zone and offers you to a different perspective to look at love and killing in the apocalypse. Part 1 was about killing to protect what you loved whereas Part 2 is about ending the cycle of hatred and letting it go! Even as you play Ellie throughout the game, you will start to question what you have done. It is definitely heartbroken when seeing the two fight, who have lost nearly all they have in the seek of vengeance. To a large extent, Abby is an another self of Ellie and Lev to Abby is what Ellie to Joel. The two girls have some much more in common. I like and pity both of them for their fate. Overall, I would say it is a risky try for Naughty dog but definitely worthwhile for the game community and we need it!
Not even mention its game-play experience. More cooperative, smart, yet brutal AI enemies, more diverse enemy types and more weapon and crafting options just drive this game to a whole new level.
The game will be rated differently depending how you expect this game to be. If you decided to treat it as a thought-provoking literature and taste it nice and elegantly, you won't be disappointed.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. List of complaints about the writing
-Slow opening unlike the exciting opening of part 1.
-Joel’s song about “losing you” is a little on the nose.
-What is the point of the opening flashback only to skip 4 years?
    -Lame teen drama.
    -Dull opening in Jackson.
-Ellie doesn’t feel like Ellie anymore. Where’s her sarcasm and wit?
-Dialogue between Ellie and Dina in general is very stilted and awkward and dull.
-Overuse of the “knocked unconscious” trope.
-Dina is a very dull love interest.
-Convenient writing like Abby’s group having photos of themselves with written names found in a bag.
-More lame teen drama like Dina being pregnant.
    -Constant use of flashbacks.
-Traveling alone in this zombie infested, dangerous world doesn’t seem to have consequences since everybody seems to be doing it like Jesse.
-Even MORE lame teen drama with Ellie being jealous of Jesse.
-Contrived dilemma of needing to go back to Jackson or continuing after Abby because Dina is pregnant. Why did Dina even come along?
-They do another “giraffe” moment with Abby and the zebras.-
-“We’re no better than them” cliché.
-Flashback date with Own and Abby is unbelievably cringe and boring.
-Owen and Abby’s aquarium date mirroring Joel and Ellie’s museum flashback. Tacky and contrived. Be more original.
-The unnecessary sex scene with Owen and Abby.
-Character falling into water and disappearing trope with Tommy.
-The scene with life on Ellie’s farm is very dull.
-I have to round up sheep. Really engaging gameplay.
-Boring flashback with the barn dance. More lame teen drama

There are too many emotional scenes, it is like a emotional roller coaster. The best part of all of that story, it's the main topic, the cycle of revenge.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I hate this game because they turned beloved main characters that I felt I knew for so long, into antagonists. At the same time they tried to force me into accepting unknown people over them, just because they were capable of heroic deeds as well, or because they also could relate to me in some other way.

Makes me feel like the first game is pointless and also, I hate being stabbed in the back... Although a well thought stab would be appreciated, this game makes it feel forced just for the sake of teaching a lesson, as of which I feel like the OG characters ended up suffering more. (Or maybe I don't know the new characters enough for me to care as much).

I choose to give this game a 4 because despite the terrible story telling and the small improvements on the gameplay, I feel like the team behind the visuals, the sound and the voice acting, did a tremendous job!

But just like Druckmann said, he knew a lot of people would passionately hate this game, and that is why I choose to erase this one from my memory.

The thing that almost ruins this game for me is Abby, who we are forced to play as for nearly half of the game. The only redeeming part of playing her was the storyline with Lev and his sister. I didn't care about her WLF friends at all though besides the dog, and I still do not empathize with Abby killing Joel. The fact that Joel dies at the very beginning is a terrible way to go in my opinion but it made me love the few moments we had with him in this game even more. I don't think Ellie should have let Abby live either. It would still have the same message at the end with Ellie coming back to the farm and no one is there. Overall, this game isn't as bad as it is made out to be but it is a letdown storywise to huge fans of the first game like me. It f#$ks with the players so well that many can’t deal with it. There is certainly a way to appreciate this game, but if you aren’t a proper fan of horror, you might not like it. You see, the main narrative elements and techniques are designed to evoke unease, tension and alienation in the player, which are an intricate part of psychological horror: Joel’s cold-blooded murder, Ellie’s mental downward spiral as she gets caught up in her thirst for vengeance, and perhaps most unsettling, the sudden handover to Abby, who is not only the “enemy” but also a female character who challenges mainstream expectations—those arms!—thus creating a deeper sense of estrangement towards the new protagonist. To be honest, I hated Abby when I first had to use her, but part of that was just me being a shallow prick. Yet there was no denying that this narrative twist was something I had never seen in a game, evoking strong feelings of angst and unease. And to think that this was accidental would be taking away due credit from the writers. So, I stuck to it and looked at it for what it was, a bold plot twist, and Abby grew on me. By the time I was returned to Ellie, I felt completely disoriented, which is exactly where the game wanted me to be. Because unlike its predecessor, The Last of Us 2 went full out on the horror elements. And if anyone wonders why everyone in this story is despicable, well, that’s the genre for you, so don’t expect existential optimism. As for the rest of the storyline, I would call it a soap opera. It’s very melodramatic at times, conveniently pieced together in the most awkward of ways, but it accomplishes what it sets out to do: to facilitate amazing scenes that otherwise could not have seen the light of day, such as the final war on the islands, or the final and very disturbing fight between Ellie and Abby (if you’d never played Abby, the shock would have been greatly mitigated). It’s not at all like the first, and I understand people’s disappointment. However, I personally can’t fathom how someone could have expected a sequel after playing the first, since none of it demanded a follow up. The innocence between Ellie and Joel had been slayed, and spending an entire game dealing with Joel’s lie would have been painfully dull. Perhaps that’s why they killed him off, because there was no way around it. Regardless, I also don’t know what people wanted out of the second, and probably neither do they. Making a sequel can be an incredibly daunting task. Perhaps some players might have been satisfied with some inane town builder in which you go out seeking provisions and materials to further expand the settlement, all the while eliminating the infectious in the region. All I can say is thank you Naughty Dogs for not plying to the temptation of creating another mainstream and uninspired game like that. This game was a hell of ride, like nothing I’ve played before. Gameplay is honestly not much different than Last of us. We can jump now and lay prone. Whoopie! The graphics in the game are AMAZING for the hardware. The one bad thing for me was the story! This game is all about dealing with the repercussions of what Joel did in the first game, because what he did was bad and if you think otherwise then that's your problem. Ellie gets hit the hardest with these repercussions and loses not only Joel but her own humanity, only regaining it at the end of the game.

I will admit it was a digitally beautiful game, waisted by this horrible story. The game play was easy but a bit boring, throw a rope, shoot a gun, figure out a puzzle. The endless safe cracking and code breaking was annoying after a while. Practicing the guitar was also annoying after a while. None of this helped me enjoy the game.

Most sequels to classics are love letters to fans because the artists want to reciprocate our love and appreciation for them. RDR2, God of War, etc. these games are love letters to their fan bases, they have so much fan service. This game is not that. 1) Death of the main character is too brutal and should have been handled in a different way and since it is in the early hours of the game, player feels no motivation to go forward but that is exactly what the developers want you to feel at that point.
    2) Pacing of the game doesn't feel right, the way it puts the player in flashback scenes and then brings the player to the present its all too confusing.
    3) Length of the game feels like a stretch if you explore and collect all the collectables.
    4) Game is more than twice as big as its predecessor in terms of open landscape, explorable area.
    5) Game Trailers give a false impression to the player that the story is about Joel and Ellie but these two characters aren’t the main focus of the story which isn’t a bad thing. This story is about how the actions of Joel and Ellie affect the world around them.
6)Due to the way certain scenes are placed throughout the game, after few hours of the game when I assumed the control of Abby, I didn’t want to play anymore but gradually as I was progressing, I grew closer to Abby even though what she did at the beginning was too dark.
7)Abby’s section in the game is the main focus and is around 10 to 15 hours. Abby is not a villain in this game, she is just trying to survive and protect the ones she loves. The later half of the game paints this very nicely.
8)The game forces the player to experience the pain and discomfort by using excellent visual and sound effects. There are so many beautiful scenes in the game that I kept taking in-game screenshots.
9)The only things that helped me keep going forward after our hero’s death were the gameplay, graphics, music, cinematics fluid combat and the rope and dodge mechanics. Sound effects are so good, at the work bench upgrading the weapons feels like you are right there.
10)At the very end no person in his/her rightful mind would want the revenge that the player was promised at the beginning. I personally didn’t want either of them (Abby or Ellie) to die. No way it deserves the review bombing it is getting.
GAMEPLAY: 10/10, GRAPHICS: 11/10, SOUND: 10/10, COMBAT: 10/10 STORY: 8/10(-1 feels dragged, -1 first 2 hours too dark).

To any fan of the first game who's not fazed by social themes, I hope this "review" will find you. First and foremost, I'd give this game a 8/10 for its gameplay and graphics. This is a personal opinion but the 10 I'm giving it really aims for the story because I honestly though this was a masterpiece in emotional storytelling.

Here's a bit about me. I never ever review anything. I never review games or movies but with this one, I was a little fed up of feeling ashamed for loving it and wanted to give a voice to those who enjoyed it as well. You disagree? That's fine. You want to bury voices like mine for enjoying it? Take a walk.

The game is obviously divided and I'm not going to get into this because I feel like it's pretty clear. There are many people who honestly hated it and others who honestly loved it. Both are ok but what I have a problem with is those who bombed it (or counter bombed it for that matter). Maybe we'll never have a honest take on how people feel about this game. All I can tell is I loved it.

I'm a huge fan of the first game so my bias is no less (but no worse) than those who hate gratuitously and even though I feel like they made some very bold choices with this one, I'm more than satisfied. The story was my favorite part. I lived quite a bit through the characters. I was shocked more than once and forced to feel empathy, sadness, pain and many more through the lives of those characters. I lived in their skin and the journey was quite the experience. I'm on my second playthrough. I'm not a bot review lifiting the game. Anyway, I'm not here to spoil the game and I don't want people to live it the way I did. I'm just a little annoyed by all the negative reviews shaming people like me for loving it and making us feel like we don't have a brain because of it. For the record, I'm a caucasian heterosexual male in his 30s and I don't feel like this should be said but here it goes.

The gameplay was a great upgrade on the first game but it doesn't reinvent the wheel. I give it 8/10 simply because shooting it so painful but I'm a pc gamer anyway. It's still much better than the previous game. Many upgrades in animations and movement, stealth has been upgraded and everything feels like you can regret your decisions much more. If the game had stayed the same as TLOU, I'd give it a 5/10 and I'm a huge fan but man, they upgraded it. I do feel the gameplay stays truthful to itself, I'm just not a fan of it. Maybe I'd change my mind if the game was keyboard and mouse compatible, but I digress.

All this to say, if the social themes aren't thing that are bound to hurt you, I say give this masterpiece a chance and give it a FULL chance. Don't be stopped by the beginning of it, play through the full thing and appreciate it for the piece of art that it is. Be a freethinker and don't let others, even me, tell you what to do with it. Just, play it yourself and see for yourself.

    Thanks for reading this.

Not to mention the step forward in terms of accessibility! Most games these days don't even feature the option to fully remap the controls, this game has that and THEN some. I cannot express how wonderful it is to know that this is going to result in an industry wide push towards making AAA games more acccessible, and for that ALONE I would give this game a 10/10. The perfomance by the cast is phenomenal, and the story is absolutely extraordinary. The choice to make the setting an active warzone as the undercurrent to the brewing tension between the two protagonists was a fantastic choice, and works well to build towards the climax of the story. It felt like an absolute dream to play. Could not possibly recommend it enough. I'd give it a 12/10 if I could. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Okay here's my honest review of the game from start to finish:

The story... I figured that's why all you are here negatively reviewing about. Here's my take from the story. The theme of TLOU has always been survival horror game and joel's actions at the end of part 1 led to the beginning of part 2. The central theme of this game was based on revenge since Joel did in fact get murdered by Abby and Ellie wanted revenge. But as the game progressed you begin to realize its a SURVIVAL game and there is no clear line between good and bad people in this setting. Abby did what she did because that's what she felt was right and that's okay. Ellie choosing to let get go was done because that's what she felt was right and that also is okay. I believe the moral intention of this game was compassion. Abby initially was ruthless killer but as the game progressed she began feeling compassion when Yara and Lev joined her. Her desire to keep them alive allowed for her to feel this emotion she never had for so long. Ellie on the other hand felt this when she was with Joel, and upon his death she never got to reconcile with Joel leaving lots of emotions misplaced into anger. She then at the end regains this compassion based on her flashbacks of Joel. Two people meeting the same emotions but at different times. Thats why she didn't kill her, and that's why abby refused to fight. Their both now at least contempt (For now) TLOU pt.3?

The Negatives of the Story - ND should have been more blatant that there were 2 main characters in this story instead of telling us its an epic story about Ellie's quest for revenge. If fans were shown this at the beginning then there many have not been a big backlash of main character as they lashed out. Also, killing joel at the beginning with no reason as to why until you play as Abby almost 20 hours later seems to cause some (not me) people confusion. I believe if they portrayed the story in a different chronological order it could have caused for a different outcome of how the story was understood. The viewer could have understood Abby's decision and built character development at the same time to fully justify her actions leading to what transpires in Seattle. If her origin was portrayed in epilogue, and ND marketed the game as "revenge" not saying as to who's revenge it was, it would have led to a greater understanding with more clarity.

All in all I enjoyed the game. The visuals, soundtrack and overall gameplay were heavily improved from the first. I really like how there were encounters of enemies and infected in one setting as that led to new ways of playing which the previous hasn't done. I hope they continue Part 3 as Dina's disappearance from the homestead leads us to lots of questions. The same with Abby and Lev as they drove off into the ocean meeting old fireflies?

Everything is made with a type of precision and care not seen in most video games. The dialog, acting, graphics, and sound design all come together to create a masterpiece. One of my favorite games of this generation. Ignore the negative reviews. They're mad that marginalized groups finally have representation in a video game.

the last of us 2 is graphically amazing and will set a new bar higher on that.

And then argumentatively it is very extreme (killing as many characters as no other game) so I can understand the anger of the fans. But there are things that deserve to be highlighted (they left tommy alive). secondary histories like the one of boris or the war between wolves and scars etc. Graphically

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.

All this drama is just ridiculous. I enjoyed the game a lot, as well as the characters and the story*, and how Ellie and the other characters discovered more about themselves and changed as people as the story went on. However, the only negative I see is the dreadful pacing. Other than that, the gameplay is phenomenally brutal and satisfying, moreso than the first The Last of Us, and it CARRIES this game. (I play on Survivor so the AI is a bit more human and challenging, since they’re kind of dumb on moderate difficulty) On moderate things can get too easy and bland. I strongly recommend the challenge of Survivor difficulty. I am definitely going back for a second playthrough Expand

A great achievement, genuinely pushing the state of the art of the medium on several levels. Also depressing, ruthless, extremely graphic and arguably at times cruel to the player. Beware, I guess.

On a technical level the game is absolutely incredible. The quality of the visuals is amazing, and even more so considering the hardware its running on. Tons of beautiful environments.

On a technical level the game is absolutely incredible. The quality of the visuals is amazing, and even more so considering the hardware its running on. Tons of beautiful environments. Animation quality is generally extremely high. The new rope physics are very impressive.

Exploration, combat and stealth gameplay generally works really well. Searching for and gathering loot can become a bit tedious. Jumping and platforming is a weak point. Certain doors and other passages can trigger a change in location which you can't reverse for no real reason other than the game simply not letting you, breaking immersion a bit if you missed some loot in the previous room. Accuracy RNG for ranged weapons isn't really a fun mechanic but you don't notice it very often. Upgrading weapons and skills is pretty underwhelming, but also not distracting.

The narrative is very straightforward. Closer to a character study (of some great characters) than a grandiose story. The acting is excellent. Just like in the first game the playable characters are not defined by the player. Moral choices are made by the characters without player interaction. There is quite a bit of nonlinearity in the narrative, most notably including a /very/ long (too long) intermission between the start and conclusion of a pivotal scene.

Easily one of the best games of its type of this console generation. Congratulations to the team.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I thought this story was masterfully crafted. I find that the newly created animation, the ability to throw objects to stun them temporarily to disarm characters is a very welcoming addition to the gameplay and graphics. As well as now Zombies will attack each other given the right circumstance, it's just such an endless amount of possibilities that you can do because of this new engine.

When i first heard about the leak of the game that was so beloved to many, I wanted to watch and see the spoilers. Then I slowly started seeing youtubers hating on the game, and then saying that "Naughtydog is in trouble" or "Naughty Dog is bad" or just anything negative to say about this incredible team. That's when I decided to experience the story for myself without any spoilers, so that I will give the game a chance without any influence from any external sources.

Then I started playing the game. At times, I have the marvel at the incredible graphics they were able to achieve on the playstation 4, and the level of detail is unriviled, including PC titles cranked to the max. I mean, watching the physics of the backpack bounce around is just an attention to detail that I have not yet seen before. The foiliage moving around the character is still yet unriviled in any game yet... But on to the story, which in my opinion, is masterfully crafted. It made me feel so many different emotions, throughout the game, and made it seem that this revenge cycle only gets people killed. Granted, people play games to take them out of real life, but I feel like the approach to revenge is so realistic, people hate it. The problem is that they're hell bent on what's black and white, that they don't show enough empathy to see what they've been through. In the end, who is right and who is wrong? The people who follow through on their revenge is wrong, and they are severly punished for it. The people who are able to let go of all this rage is able to grow as a person. I think it's not your typical hollywood story where there is a clear indication of who is good, and who is bad. But this game has me wrecked at the end, making me feel the same feelings at the end of the first game: I don't want to kill this doctor but I have to save Ellie. ironic how you're doing the same thing with Abby towards the end, but it ends in a much happier note.

I personally think Ellie is the villian in this game because she did not help anyone but herself. At least Abby aided her friends and the 2 Seraphite kids. Ellie was just hyper focused on revenge.

I think people couldn't get over their hatred for Abby, and they powered through the game hating to play the character they hate, so everything that she did that was good, was already unsavable. But at least you get to make that choice yourself, whether or not what she has done is a good deed. The story of this game is so complex, I think the reward that Naughty Dog was waiting for did not pay off. It is so advanced, and we, as gamers, are not mature enough to see things from different perspectives. I think Naughty Dog could've just made "The Last of Us Part 2" soley focusing on Ellie and her revenge, and made another game called "The Last of Us Part 2 - The Lost Chapter" talking about Abby, but by then, if people see an Add on, they may be turned off to it, or forget what Abby did, and could not tie the stories together. But to me, this was a masterpiece in just showing that it's never black or white.

Going back to some backlash about "Imagine John Wick never being able to revenge the dog". Well imagine if that Dog killed your only child.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I found this game to be cinematic, powerful, enjoyable and extremely graphic. The only reason I am even writing a review is because there are so many bad reviews for this game with statements like "marxist" or "SJW's ruined this game." Tons of reviews out within hours of the games release. I played this whole game blind (I didn't read any of the leaks/ no spoilers) and finished the whole game prior to review. 26 hours. The story is gritty, it breaks your hear in several places. It shows graphic violence and very adult situations. It was tough to watch in couple places but so very worth it. The game play is good and the enemy AI decently well done. The sound and music isn't overdone and it fits well into the mood of the game. Graphics are phenomenal and in some of the take downs its like you can feel emotion from someone who is being killed in front of your eyes. Some scenes are flat brutal. Joel's death and the final battle between an emaciated Abby and a near mortally wounded Ellie is pretty rough. Not a game for the faint of heart. I will say this if i could i would give it a 9.5 just because i found it to be a very easy game. On the normal setting it felt more like easy and if i could restart my play through at hard I would. If you consider yourself a "good" gamer play on hard.

Finally to see people so upset about someones sexuality is simply sad. Don't let close-minded people tell you this is a bad game just because it offends their sensitive nature. If you played the first last of us then play this one. Give it a chance it is truly a very very good game.

The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
