    Замечательная игра во всех отношениях! Очень понравилось развитие боевой системы, лучшая и самая жестокая система расчленения на данный момент, которая в добавок еще и выполняет нарративную функцию. Игра рассказывает очень мрачную историю, что крайне редко можно впринципе встретить в кинематографе и играх, и я рад что этот мотив выдержан до самых титров. Ну и отдельное почтение заЗамечательная игра во всех отношениях! It is a tough game to digest for most people, like everyone part1 is one of my favorite game and the treatment of some of the original characters can be questioned in this game until the end. The end absolutely justifies everything, it is a brutal world we cannot expect everything to go perfectly and everyone to act perfectly. I love how the game makes me uncomfortable and ask questions. This is not a game for most people
    You will either love it or hate it, the game is designed that way . I wish more games were created this way which questions our beliefs and makes us uncomfortable. Movies do that why not games. Not every game is meant to appeal to your sense of child, some are for the grown ups.

    Overall it is an amazing game Naughty dog have never disappointed me till date, with this game they have elevated my expectations for their next game.    … Expand

If you buy this game, play it all the way through. Its redeming, one of the best stories ive ever experienced and has the greatest character development of any book or movie I have ever seen. This game is a masterpiece in its own right and i agrea it isnt for everyone. I strongly recommend this to any of you but be warned, leave expectations at the door.… Expand

    I was really dissapointed in that game, the gameplay has not evolved at all, sadly it is now even more repedetive as the game is around 10h longer than the 1game.
    The grafic is gorgeous and the environments are stunning, but thats all this game really has as a positive feature.

    The story is a basic revenge story and the ending was not satisfiying at all, the characters have lost their appeal and become quite frankly dumb in their decision making and boring as the dynamic in the relationships is completely gone.    … Expand

    This game is incredible. It is an absolute ride of emotions that I have never known anything like in any media before. It is stunning and poignant and sad and heartbreaking but also has some of the sweetest most loving scenes and excellent characters moments across the entire series.

I just ended the game, I'm completely disappointed, I think the dead of Joel (my favorite character) has fck me up a lot, I don't understand how you can kill a protagonist that many of us loved in that way, for me it has been hard, it has broken the story completely, on the other hand the characters did not seem to "feel" the death of their friends or loved ones, as is the case with Jessie, among others, I have not feel any drama for the deaths, it lacks depth, although I insist on it. What has shocked me the most is that they killed Joel, I did not deserve it, the saga has gone from being my favorite to "one more" of which if there is a continuation I will not buy it, there is much to polish, the final actions of Ellie, looking for Abby to get revenge to finally leave her alive losing 2 fingers and not being able to play her guitar and lose everything, I have noticed that forced part, completely filler, that part could have been omitted, I understand what they wanted to capture in the game, even so I think the end was unnecessary , the truth has disappointed me a lot, bad purchase, I would rather have stayed with the experience of the first part.

    I also did not like that there are so many "flashbacks" from the past, there are so many that the story is reduced a lot, with the game I have noticed "more of the same" without big changes in the enemies or the combat, except going to the ground and jumping everything others is the same, a change in the weapon system and updates would have been a good point, and the story well ... very linear sometimes I have even noticed that it is very forced, Joel It has been noted very well that it has "discarded".     Yes the writers could simply follow the same route as the first game and create an unlimited number of straight forward revenge stories (in a similar way that games like Uncharted rehash their stories with each release) but they didn't and credit to them for taking a risk. I feel that the story will make a fantastic series now it has been picked up by HBO. We may have to passively watch rest of the story unfold as I wouldn't be rushing into making a third installment for a ungreatful audience. 10 out of 10 easily best game I've played on PS4. .    … Expand

    I completed the game. Very disappointed with the unsatisfying ending. However, the game was still a good experience 6/10

    I just loved Last of Us (2013 ). What a great story. What amazing characters. Joel and Ellie and their growing relationship, their bond, with each other - that was great to watch ( and play). This was the heart and soul of what made that game so great. But, as much as it hurts to say, Last of Us Part 2 took a giant DUMP all over that and destroyed all the heart and soul there ever was.I just loved Last of Us (2013 ). What a great story. What amazing characters. Joel and Ellie and their growing relationship, their bond, with each other - that was great to watch ( and play). This was the heart and soul of what made that game so great. But, as much as it hurts to say, Last of Us Part 2 took a giant DUMP all over that and destroyed all the heart and soul there ever was. Now don't get me wrong, LOUP2 is still such a beautiful game and has its intense moments, but the story is just horrible and betrays everything about its characters from the previous game. It slaps every fan hard across their face and forces them to play psychotic murderers with split personality issues and also FORCES the player to be confronted with the "woke community". Last of Us Part 2 is a game full of plot holes and a giant amount of flashbacks that rip you out of the game so often, it annoys the teets off a rat. These time jumps just ruin the whole immersion that a player wants to keep in a game. Two, maybe three well-placed ones I might be okay with, but this is just a bad way to tell a story. I was soooo looking forward to this game, but after playing it for a few hours I was regretting it bitterly. And I took my sweet sweet time to with my playthrough ( over 36 hours) because I spent 70 fricking bucks and wanted to squeeze out every cent possible in return. And boy, I can tell you that wasn't easy. You know, There is a farm seen later in the game ( I won't describe more) in which my only thought was "oh God, please let this be finally over". That alone explains what a painful journey this game is. The only good thing to say about it is. that it is truly a beautiful game with lots of areas to scrounge through and awesome detailed regions where you just want to stop and just LOOK around. There are some "levels" in which you can choose to sneak around certain enemies instead of hunting them all down like a serial killer. But then: in other areas you don't have that option. For me the "Game Killer was the way a certain well-known (and loved) main character was "ended". This person DESERVED a better way to go. Also, the missing option to be able to knock someone out - that has to be an effing JOKE. How can you NOT have the choice to knock someone out instead of having to kill them? That is so NOT right. This game has turned its main characters into psychopaths and ignores everything the characters have learned and experienced in their past. It contradicts the true soul of its characters and pees all over the logic of certain choices / decisions they make. And that's why judgement is: they effed it all up!… Expand

Over-compensative tolerance is a new religion. It's zealots are ruthless. It's apologets - enthusiastic, but near-sighted. History will judge all, but till then - God help us. As an old curse goes: "... wish you to live in interesting time!" Western societies managed themselves to get entangled in some truly hilarious one. Time has come to throw stones. Tomando decisiones impopulares pero adultas y justificadas a lo largo del juego, se arma una historia oscura de venganza y redención. Es por eso que es tan criticado. No es un juego que se hace para satisfacer a estómagos blandos. La criticada muerte de joel, es de las más respetuosas y explicitas que se han mostrado en la historia de los video juegos, dando un sentimiento de vulnerabilidad e incomodidad instantaneos. Siendo objetivos, joel encajaba perfectamente tanto como villano o héroes, y de eso se trata. El juego cumple con creces el objetivo: derrocar el clásico cliché del buen samaritano cambiándolo por el protagonista que cosecha lo que siembra, sea como sea. El juego decae cuando tomamos el control de abby, dando un periodo de juego que se siente demasiado extendido y algo sintético o genérico. Es aca donde TLOU2 desmerece el 10, dando una experiencia que a ratos se hace insufrible y que decae totalmente frente a lo mostrado con ellie. Sin embargo no todo es malo con abbie y el final del juego, dando aspectos que alimentan al personaje para ir predisponernos hacia los sentimientos que se quieren invocar en el final del juego.     The game is well...Insane. The graphics are so crazy detailed, the animations have never, in any game, been as fluid and the story really makes you think and is not just there for enjoyment, its a story of consequences, the part that was left out by the excellent first part.
    Enjoy the ride, there is no game out there that comes close to this. Piece of art.

    - Graphics wise beyond compare, the game is beautiful and the environment is immersive.
    - Combat mechanics are amazing and improves on what was there in the first LOU. The bad: - The game desperately tries to remind you how Politically correct it is by trying to tick so many PC boxes that it is forced on the user and really diminishes the story it was trying to tell. It    The good:

    - The game desperately tries to remind you how Politically correct it is by trying to tick so many PC boxes that it is forced on the user and really diminishes the story it was trying to tell. It spoils the overall experience for a user that simply just wants to play and enjoy a game. Politics and religion do not belong in video games.
    - Misleading trailers that hinted strongly at story elements (which were very significant to making the LOU the game that it was) that are not present in what was purchased by the consumer. It feels like someone else bought the IP and then decided the original LOU did not work for them.

I understand why so much people feel disappointed with this game, but also for sure it doesn't deserve "0". And I understand why some people don't think that this game is perfect, but it's not that bad as well. Just because it didn't meet someone's expectation doesn't mean it's terribly bad.     Been waiting for this game for years and it surpassed all my expectations. My wife and I went through a rollercoaster of emotions all 20 hours of this game. Definitely recommend.

The graphics are arguably the best I've ever seen. I personally believe the addition of Abby was great, both as a character and a playable character.     The story is continued with weak motivation and logic. The genre in itself is understandably unforgiving and vicious but they failed to deliver it the way they did in the part 1. This is the output of a twisted mind, although the message they tried to put out is insightful they utterly failed to represent it in a noble way and thats what hurt the most gamer's sentimental value they had for the game.

    It was a traumatic experience for me, I didn't wish to continue after 2 hours into the game. My disappointment is immeasurable to discern after waiting for 5 years! I wish I could undo/unsee what I witnessed.

    In short: Great graphics, beautiful soundtrack, insane attention to detail and very satisfying gameplay. This game connects story with its predecessor so gently, that you can really see how developers and ND loved their game. Every single piece of it.

    I love this game, and I do not understand why people disliked this game so much.
    YEAH, IT IS DIFFERENT from original TLOU and YOU should've known it before buying this game! They improved almost every aspect of the original game, and it plays a lot better and faster. And i gotta say that this game is truly gorgeous.

    But why people are review-bombing this game? Why do they think that Neil Druckmann and Naughty Dog made this game only to make LGBT people like this game? WTF? Ellie was lesbian before part 2! You remember about DLC for the first TLOU, right? It was there. C'mon, play it!

    AHHHH, ABBY KILLED JOEL - STORY SUCKS. No its not, you pricks. Yeah, it is hard to understand what the hell just happened after this cruel mission. But after some time the story is gonna make you understand why abby did this. This is the story that makes you see both sides of conflict. And this is one of the greatest stories I've ever played through.

    Completed this game on survivor difficulty within 35 hours.

Neil Druckmann quoted 'City of Thieves' by David Benioff as the main inspiration for the story - Benioff being one half of the infamous 'D&D' who botched the final season of Game of Thrones so much that one of the defining cultural touch points of a generation was forgotten within weeks and all the planned spinoffs were cancelled by their studios. They even have the nerve to put the book in the game - at one point Abby can be seen reading it when she is woken up. Couple this with Halley Gross being the lead co-writer, known for 'Westworld' which at first showed promise but quickly was exposed to be a whole lot of nothing, so much so that the third season's viewing figures are down a whopping 57% from the previous season.

    With this stellar line up of writers there was no realistic chance of a competent story ever being told. In their efforts to to break away from the status quo and 'subvert expectations' what we are presented with is a confusing mess of a story. I don't mind Joel being killed off, but the game establishes no connection with the player and Abby before you're forced to play as her. I was actually enjoying the first half of the game before the character switch - at which point I just lost all motivation to continue. I only completed it on the strength of the first game and the fact I paid £60 for it. I simply didn't care about this character, her back story, or her friends - who you know will die, ruining any kind of suspense or mystery during her playthrough.

    Going back in time was a big mistake for me - the story loses all momentum and you feel like you're just trudging along to get back to the scene in the theatre. It felt like a prequel within a game. The constant flashbacks for both charcters also ruined the pacing and overall the story can't hold a candle to the first game - which is a simple linear story through time focusing on the relationship between just two characters. In this game there are upwards of a dozen characters to keep track of and it felt like a TV show adaptation - with little character development for any of them. The overall theme of 'revenge is bad' was done in such a hamfisted way that it made you roll your eyes by the ending. The final act of the game could have been cut completely and the story starts to drag - the game is about 5 hours too long.

    Beyond the story the game is a technical masterpiece - the graphics, the gameplay, the audio, the acting, the world building, etc. Unfortunately for the game designers it's the the story which is the bedrock of the game and this falls well short. The story of part 1 is the main reason for the great sales figures for part 2. It's therefore likely that the story of part 2 will be the main reason for the reduced sales figures of part 3.    … Expand

    This is the best story-based game I ever played. During gameplay I felt emotionally invested, absolutely mesmerised by character building and story twisting. DO NOT LISTEN TO BAD OPINIONS - you can feel conservative butthurt from miles away from negative grades here, especially from people that spent couple of hours on the game and then threw up their precious opinion here.

    -The characters that we grew to love in the first game, make out-of-character decisions in order to move along whatever story they’re wanting to express, which is basically just a circle of violence and vengeance that is boring and predictable.
    -This story has a strong political motivation, trying to shoehorn in LGBTQ+ agendas, as well as new age feminism, forcing us into unrealistic decision making that goes against the gritty realism we’ve come to expect from its predecessor.
    -The acting, taken out of context of the character and his/her development is good, even great at points, but when you insert the context of the story, it makes you want to either roll your eyes in mockery or scream from frustration, to the point that you actually want the character you’re playing to fail and die.
    2.) Gameplay
    -If you enjoyed the first game’s gameplay, then you ought to enjoy this one too, because they’re very close to the same with a little bit extra to keep it interesting. However, it’s not nearly enough for the 25+ hour game time filled with mostly cutscenes, exploring, and fighting various baddies. They’ve mostly done away with puzzles, of which I found novel in the first game, and replaced it with anemic exploration. And the puzzles that they do have are painstakingly obvious, to the point where the only difficult ‘puzzle’ is finding the exit.
    -Crafting has become slightly more complex, and with the increased options in advancing your skill set via supplements, you can experience a slightly altered version of Ellie and *unnamed* character, but it feels stale, adding very little newness.
    -Everything else is practically the same. You still find collectibles throughout the game, notes that hold combinations to safes, and nuts and bolts to modify your weapons.

По ходу игры мы чувствуем абсолютно разные чувства разных людей, благодаря чему тонко понимаем каждого персонажа. Во время музыки в финальных титрах на глаза наворачиваются слёзы, непередаваемые ощущения и чувства, именно чувства- как буд-то бы всё это произошло с тобой, как буд-то это ты сам чувствуешь всю эту горечь и печаль, всю эту ответсетственность, ту тяжесть решений которые ты принял, тех поступков которые совершил. Тебе хочется утешить Элли, сказать что всё будет хорошо, ты понимаешь как ей сейчас тяжело, когда тех кто мог бы утешить больше нет рядом. Финал я играл со слезами на глазах, потому что всё это чувство мести, которое мы пронесли внутри себя, оно померкло на фоне тех ужасов, которые мы повидали в пути. В то же время мы понимаем что из-за своего чувства мести, из-за своей одержимости, ты сломал жизни сотен людей, забыв о детском желании спасти всё человечество и о готовности отдать свою жизнь ради него... В геймплейном плане игра так же наполнена реализмом - например ножевой бой, который построен на тактике реального уличного боя- Элии держит руки близко к телу, и использует нож как колющий предмет, а не как пачете. Взаимодействие противников- противники явно имеют тактику- они окружают тебя постпенно и действуют сплоченно, использую разные тактики одновренно. Осталяют в ужасе оменты когда при смерти одного, ты слышишь как кто-то в выкрикивает имя убитого, ты понимаешь что убил живого человека, что только что его кто-то потерял. Когда ты убиваешь собак и слышишь как хозяин выкрикивает имя своего питомца, ты понимаешь что убил не животное, а чьего-то друга, который просто пытался защитить человека которого любил. Физика повреждений вышла на новый уровень, за что отдельная благодарность разработчикам, потому что видно что они поработали с реальными фотографиями криминалистов. Разные виды оружия наносят совершенно разный урон. Брызги разбитые стекла от выстрелов, мозги на стене выглядят потрясающе реально. Отдельно хочется отметить дизайн уровней и в частности проработку растительности и света - в этой игре можно просто наслаждать видами, благодаря тому что нет экранного интерфейса, что переводит этот контент из разряда игры в что-то среднее между игрой и фильмом. Эта игра, не смотря на все её ужасы- учит состраданию и любви. Эту игру я никогда не забуду, саундтрэк на всегда будет вызывать во мне самые тёплые чувства. La gente quería venganza, eso es lo que promociono siempre naughty dog desde el teaser trailer, la trama es MUY lenta, no cumple con la promesa de ser una secuela que es sacar dudas del primer juego, la muerte de Joel fue un detonante de tanta polémica, lo matan muy rápido y sin ninguna razón que te la dan hasta 6 horas más del juego, el objetivo de esto es darte odio a los antagonistas, querer siempre la venganza que tanto te promocionaron por tanto tiempo, la historia de Ellie es buena, va bien, pero simplemente cuando te toca jugar con abby te hartas sabiendo que tendrás que jugar 8 horas con este personaje que te mete en asuntos que al propio jugador no le importan, esta bien que te hagan empatizar con el antagonista, pero enserio no era necesario 8 HORAS DE ESTAR JUGANDO CON EL ANTAGONISTA, te quita la narrativa de estar jugando con Ellie. En cada momento que estaba jugando con abby solo quería que acabara para poder seguir jugando con Ellie, cuando por fin llegamos al 4to día, me di cuenta que ya llegamos al final del juego, no se cumple con la promesa de cobrar venganza, claro que esto iba enfurecer a todos, el final es a la vez lenta y rápida, de Seattle te llevan a una granja donde ya Ellie y Dina viven felices, luego Ellie se arrepiente y decide ir a matarla por venganza porque se quedó con el remordimiento de no haberla matado, vuelve a hacer todo un viaje para no matarla, justo cuando la tiene en sus manos para acabarla, decide perdonarla y dejarla ir, por mí este es buen final, la gente no se lo tomo bien por el simple hecho de que a nadie le gusto la narrativa de abby, a nadie le importo su personaje por hartar a la mayoría de los espectadores, la solución de esto pudo haber sido acortar su jugabilidad y contar lo necesario de abby para empatizar con ella, pero como dije decidieron alargarla para que “empaticemos” más con ella pues no funcionó por el simple hecho de alargar, como por ejemplo ya estas harto de leer esto porque está crítica es muy larga (Gracias por llegar hasta acá). La muerte de Joel fue demasiado rápida, siempre pensamos que podríamos incluso tener un poco de jugabilidad con el, pero su muerte fue demasiado apresurada ya que naughty dog quizo que fuera el detonante del odio a abby y su grupo, la mayoría odio esto (me incluyo) por darnos muy poco tiempo con Joel, claro que hubo buenos flashbacks con el pero queríamos un presente con el, puede que sea obvio que iba morir pero lo hubieran hecho al menos a la mitad o más adelante de la historia, no tengo idea de cómo concluir esto pero es más que entendible porque la gente odia esto, por simple hecho de no cumplir con lo que se esperaba y prometió el final de la primera parte. La jugabilidad es buena, no muy diferente a la primera pero si superior, en cuanto gráficos exprime todo el poder de la PS4 así como lo hizo la primera parte con la PS3, animaciones perfectas y expresiones faciales que sorprenden incluso a los ya experimentados con las gráficas realistas, muchísimo más brutal y realista a la primera parte.     This game is by far the best story game I have played til this day!
    The Last of us Part I was my favorite game of all time prior to this and I was afraid that the second part will not be able to compete with that but in my opinion Naughty Dog raised the bar once more.

    I think if you come to this game expecting the same thing you got from the first one you are going to be disappointed. Why? In the first game you are playing someone who is seemingly "the good guy" joel on his mission to take ellie to the fireflies. Yes you are killing people but mostly to fulfill your mission to reach the destination and maybe find a cure to save humanity. Even in the end when you decide against it there is some kind of happy end - not for mankind but for ellie and joel which leaves you with a good feeling.

    Now here comes the second part - and challenges all of this! It's showing you that there are no "good and bad guys" Joel has been a bad guy from Abby's perspective for killing her father and who wouldn't think the same of a person like that. Naughty Dog took a big risk in this game of making the player feel uncomfortable with decisions and even the decisions the game makes for you. It shows you in a brutal way that there is no point in revenge and behind every person in the game there is someone that has friends, family, pets and everything else without being evil from the get go.

    This was a brilliant move! They could have taken the safe route and make sure everybody loves the game but they didn't and I hope they won't in the future if there is a Tlou 3 coming.

    When you get to the moment where abby kills joel we hardly know her. I myself thought: oh my god what a crazy person and group what is wrong with them! When they put you into abby's shoes after half of the game I wasn't that happy at first either thinking about playing the game as her now.
    BUT the more you play her and see her side of the story the more relatable she becomes and the more you, the player, starts questioning if the Journey of Ellie and Joel has been such a great one so far. I think if they flipped it around - playing abby as a child in the first game and building up the relationship between her, her friends and her father. And in the end there's joel (in that case just a random guy) killing her dad everybody would hate him just as much as they hated Abby in this part.

    In my opinion the game is a lot deeper than a lot of people might think and it makes a huge difference if you play it by yourself or just watch someone play it. You also have to be very open minded and see the last of us as a world with a lot of space for different storys. This series is not just about ellie and joel it's about different people and groups stuck in the same messed up, post apocalyptic world and how they handle it.

    To wrap things up:
    will everybody love the story? - probably not but you have that with every game, tastes are different
    Is the gameplay revolutionary? - no, but it's solid like the first part with a few improvements
    Are the characters super deep? - The main characters for sure, some of the side characters could have been given a few more background infos but you get to know enough to understand why your main protagonists act in the ways they do
    Graphics? not a criteria anymore nowadays, games do look great and this one proves that the ps4 is capable of doing amazing things
    Music, Sound, Voice Acting - amazing too and never felt off

El juego se basa en lo mismo que en el anterior; al personaje principal se le quita una persona querida al inicio del juego y le toca vivir un mundo cruel y duro, bla bla bla. ¿Qué esperaban los desarrolladores al incluir una escena donde se encuentra un sótano LLENO de marihuana? ¿Reacciones como, 'Wow, Ellie fuma marihuana, que genialidad, viva, viva'? Estamos en un mundo que se cae a pedazos. O al poner a una mujer con unos brazos gigantezcos, ¿Qué se supone que debíamos pensar? ¿O es un discurso de que las mujeres también pueden ser fuertes? Estamos en el contexto de que es un mundo postapocaliptico, donde se supone que los recursos y alimentos son limitados y esperan que nos traguemos que una mujer tiene ese físico en esas condiciones externas?
    Las acciones de los personajes son muy fuera de lugar, y la que más resalto, es que Joel, como pseudo-padre de Ellie, tuvo que enseñarle todo lo que sabía, incluyendo a no confiar en nadie, es cosa de recordar en el juego anterior que mató a Marlene por si fuera el caso de que pueda ir a buscar a Ellie. Bien, pero qué hizo Ellie? Dejó ir a la asesina de sus amigos, de su tío, de su padre. Dejó ir a la razón de su soledad sin ni siquiera arrepentirse en algún momento restante del juego.
    En fin, las cinematicas parecen más una mala serie de Netflix dirigida por y para progresistas, millenials y copos de nieve.
    En jugabilidad, meh, es lo mismo que el anterior, le agregaron pocas cosas nuevas como tumbarse en el suelo.

Whether you like it or not it is something that the world hasn't seen before. Graphics, animations, sound (just OMG how good it is), the way how storytelling works (I'm not touching the script itself), the in-game atmosphere. All those things are simply unbelievable. When it comes to the most disputed aspect, story, well.. I liked it! I disagree with those people who say it doesn't deserve anybody's attention etc. etc. For me it's opposite: revenge was just one narrow line of the story but eventually turned to be something much bigger. The overall idea is much wider and deeper than that. But you have to play the game to feel and see that. Seems like the worst thing that happened to this game is the leak 2 months before the game came out. Because Neil is absolutely right: just play the game and experience it all yourself!     I haven't been so disappointed in my life.. even more than I was with anthem..and that's bad on the scale of bad games.. I don't care if the graphics are amazing it's nothing new..most of this console generation games have great graphics that doesn't mean anything if the game story is bad..worst 50 dollars I've ever spent ..I wouldn't recommend playing it unless it's free and you haveI haven't been so disappointed in my life.. even more than I was with anthem..and that's bad on the scale of bad games.. I hope other games take what LoU2 did and push the industry into a golden age of video games. The gameplay feels like a nice evolution in the first with even more ways to approach each encounter. The story needs to be played to get the full effect. Those bashing this game for not understanding the underlying message or because their expectations were not met need to play it through first and also maybe grow as people. Like I said this story/game/message is mature one and one that is frankly needed especially in this current time. There are no heroes and the villians are...well without giving anything away, the subtle and briefly noted characters in the game that lead the major groups involved. But this game does not give the player the direct good vs bad setting. It lives in the middle and more games and companies should explore these gray areas along with the trials, emotions, and choices involved in living in the gray.

    More stories like this need to be told and the way they worked a plethora of diverse groups into the game should be applauded. Play the game! It is a truely marvelous piece of art!
    I for one hope they can find a way to expand even further on the universe built, even if that means leaving the characters behind, and exploring more concepts with this masterful waybof story telling.    … Expand

Everyone who believes that “the game has a terrible plot and poor story” is the most devoted fans of the series who do not want the story to continue that way.     There was a lack difficulty in the heavy mode, there were too many ingredients around) Again, the partners run among the enemies who do not notice them, which is funny)

    The game begins to be boring in the second half, while playing for Abby. I was expecting another from the game. Open world is not open (center of Seattle). For me, the game ended on day three in Seattle for Ellie. Everything that happens after (Farm) is not even like The last of us. For me, 1 part remains the best.

    This is how a sequel is done! Great job ND. One of the best games in this generation. Every time I play it gives me many OMGs in all terms... gameplay, graphics and of course, storytelling.

    I just finished the game and it's absolutely terrific! Especially when it comes to the story and the narrative layer. Naughty Dog hits the spot every time on this one. The story dwells on the subjects of revenge and the meaning of life. Can you settle down having people who love you close to you and keep your inner demons on hold? Absolutely not. You have to deal with them - just like EllyI just finished the game and it's absolutely terrific! Especially when it comes to the story and the narrative layer.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. IMHO the game is incredible. Graphics, gameplay, environment research, fightings etc. I liked almost every minute of it including Abby's part and the ending.
    However there are 3 things I didn't like, that;s why only 8/10:

    (Spoilers)
    - Very long and unnecesarry Abby's part. At least 5 hours of playing could have been cut
    - The scene of figting with Ellie. WHAT? I hated this part, I cried and screamed that I didn't wanna kill her. It was horrible decision and I don't understand the purpose of it. I still was not attached to Abby enough to be motivated to do it.
    - The design of the main infected boss. I didn't get why it looked like that with other infected inside. What had happened to it?

    All other scenes were awesome or at least okay)
    Regarding Joel's death and the ending - I consider them logical. Joel's decision in the first game couldn't have gone unmentioned. The final battle between Abby and Ellie - I understood Ellie, I think she thought that there were enough suffering for her, she was almost dead after hanging on a pillar.    … Expand

    Disappointing sequel to what was a perfect game. Gameplay was fantastic with a range of new weapons and enemies. I cannot wait to see how the multiplayer will turn out.

    The story however was a let down to say the least. You can tell what Naughty Dog was trying to do with the story but it just did not work.

    As Joel says "there was a sequel..wasn't as good"

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
