    This is the worst story of a game I have ever played in my whole life. Not only it amplifies their secret agendas of feminism, homosexuality but also SPITTING on the one character that made The Last Of Us one of the greatest games of all times. Naughty Dog disrespectfully spat on the fans, on Joel and on the game itself.     Everyone hated the game for dumb reasons, the first seconds are nothing compared to the rest of the game (just understand this), but If I got spoiled of something? no problem the game destroys you even with the spoilers. Like Naughty Dog said no one is prepared for this game, you go in a venture of full deeply feels never seen in other games. The narrative, the characters are the essence of a game, and one more time naughty dog brings to us a full sentimental and devastating history with such good characters. And like in any other game have the haters who wants to destroys everyone's experience, putting nasty and fake things of the game, 99% of them just played 2h of the game for sure, you just need to know and trust me this is a game that goes to change your perspective of life. Gustavo Santaolalla compositions grab your feelings and throw in the ground 100 times and when you think it's finally over ohh boy be prepared.

    If you wanna be treated like a 5-year-old kid, play it. The graphics are very good, the gameplay also. But it treats you like a 5 years kid, trying to explain to you things that a grown person should already know. If you are 15 years old and you didn't know that killing and revenge is bad, we have a different problem.

    And for those who cares about the plot...

    There are really two opportunities (and sort of two "camps"):
    - If you're really feel extremely connected to the characters of "The last of us" and you want to see basically the same story, which the first part had, but new one - then you'll most possibly will join all of those, who are disappointed and angry and better not to start to play this game at all.
    - If you want just to follow the story wherever it'll bring you, putting yourself into game character(s) shoes, then you probably will... maybe not really "enjoy", but understand what this game was aiming to make you understand

    As for me, I can get why people got so upset, but that doesn't justify dumping the game in bad scores at the release date. This game really deserves better.
    Game events are not going by the straight line, as it was in the first part.
    The whole tone of the game is way darker than it was in the first part.
    It is very different game and let's just stop the comparison here.
    This game is making you to think about things, which you maybe not really facing directly every day, but it's happening all around. This game calls to very controversial feelings, and if you're trying to imagine yourself in a certain situation, presented in the game, it would be really hard to take any side or say "this is right, and that is wrong" - pretty much how it is in life. Funny, but those moments, which are causing so many people "hate" TLOU2 actually my favourite, because you believe it, you can believe that decisions are not made "as they should be", but as REAL PERSON can make them, considering all of the elements.
    The only thing I would agree with is that some of the minor characters are not described for us enough, taking into account that this is pretty long game. Just some small details, which will fulfil the image are missing, but in general motivation of every one is quite clear.
    I also would say that there are quite some dialogs, which are "just to be there", not bringing too much value, as well as most of the notes, which you'll find during exploration.
    But does all the minuses making it the bad game? Not at all.
    It's really good game. Quite overrated by critics and very under-rated by disappointed fans.    … Expand

    I've been having trouble understanding the game's plotline and character development. My friend kept telling me how the game is very elaborate and involves lots of violence but it just seems more like this game was made with poor attention and ineffective styling.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of Us was the game that re-introduced me to modern gaming. It showed how we are in a golden age of gaming where they are practically interactive movies. I was so excited for this game.... then the leaks happened.

    For context, I'm a progressive person who is sympathetic to the LGBTQ community and I laughed at the overly sensitive conservatives who automatically assumed that Abby was a transgender person. But I was also frusterated when I learned what the game planned to do with the beloved characters of the first game. Still I decided to try the game with an open mind.

    Is this a good game? Yes, absolutely. Is it a good sequel to "The Last of Us"? Absolutely NOT and I honestly wish they had never even made this game because it's a story that didn't need to be told. For starters, Sony and Naughty Dog straight up LIED about what this game would be. There is a trailer that clearly shows Joel joining Ellie on her quest at some point but that was a complete LIE. When the scene plays out in the actual game, it is a different person who you don't even care about. Ridiculous and I honestly can't believe more people aren't calling them out for that specific lie.

    Here's the deal, I thought I was going to hate playing as Abby but here story line was the only thing I found truly compelling in the game. They made Ellie so unlikable and foolish in this game that that's the reason why I wish they'd never even bothered making this game. All in all, the story leaves you feeling hopeless because it was totally meaningless and not well executed. If this game was marketed differently, as a game set in the universe of the Last of Us but not a direct sequel I think it'd be easier to forgive, but the current game just trashes what made the game special in the first place

    Another problem I have with the story; who was the moron that decided it was worthwhile to have you kill dogs? For the most part you have a choice in killing them but at one point in the game, you are FORCED to kill a dog. The worst part is that the game has the nerve to guilt trip you for something it FORCED you to do! Just such lazy story telling.

    lastly, the game play is improved but still weak. The Last of Us never had great game play but it was servicable and held up mainly by it's story. Here, the story is just poorly placed garbage so all you are left with is a slightly refined combat system that wasn't special in the first place. By the last hours of the game, I'd had enough and turned the difficulty down all the way so I could just run past every enemy encounter to progress the crappy story.

    For the positives, the game is obviously beautiful and there are some amazing 10/10 moments in the game, but when you mix crap with ice cream all you end up doing is ruining the ice cream and making the crap marginally better but still not palatable. Lastly, I LOVE and appreciate how Naughty Dog added so many well thought out customizations. This is truly awesome and something I wish every developer would do.

    Want to adjust the difficulty? You are allowed to customize almost every game play element to your liking. For me, I made the enemies extreamly weak to my bullets but I made myself extreamly weak to theirs, creating an almost one shot one kill game. I also made the game much more leniant with supplies so I could have more fun with shooting guns.

    I hated trying to aim with a controller (my fault, not the games) but I was able to implement a slow down mechanic to help make it a little easier. When you compare this to a game like Red Red Redemption 2, which is amazing in almost every way but so incredibly poor how the developers let you actually play the game I really think Naughty Dog should be applauded for this one area of the game.

    Outside of that, I finished this game and now I just want to forget the whole experience. The only reason this isn't a fully negative review is because of the few great moments in the game and the care they took in the customization features    … Expand

I’d say most, if not all of the bad reviews are not accurate. I’m sorry to every dude out there who identified with Joel’s savior complex and then had it all ripped away but that’s how life is sometimes. It doesn’t make it a bad story. Easy 10/10… Expand

    Wow, what a waste of 70 bucks. I don't mind the story at all, but the horrendous linear gameplay and combat feels like a game from maybe 10 years ago? I forced myself to play ~10 hours cos I payed big money for this. Graphics are absolutely stunning, so there is still that...
    Biggest gaming related disappointment of my life.

The theme of revenge and forgiveness is okay, also playing as the villain is an interesting choice....if only it wasn't written in such a bad way. If they wanted us to like Abby then they should've made us play with her from the very beginning, showing us her reasons and making us feel some empathy towards her instead of just throwing her in the game like that. And no, playing 10 hours as her isn't going to make me change mine or anyone's mind about her character at that point in the story. The LGBT theme is written by someone who clearly doesn't understand how mechanics between lesbians work. Casually the only sex scene between them seems like a pillow fight and there's also the presence of weed (I wonder why it's never mentioned afterwards, huh?). Overall, it really seems like the writer tried to represent the community without actually having an idea of how things really work. As a part of the community myself I don't feel represented in the least by such a thing.
    If this wasn't the worst already there's also the mental illness part. You want to represent someone with PTSD? Fine, then show me ALL the sympthoms that come with it, not just a part of them. It's useless to try to portrait them as real people if then you don't give the idea of complete realism. Where's all the anxiety, the sudden changes of mind and absurd thoughts that come with PTSD? Why wasn't there EVER a confrontation with Dina about it?
    Another point is that the characters don't seem themselves anymore. Joel and Ellie, the core of the previous game, feel completely out of character from the very beginning. Joel would've never revealed his name or trusted someone so easily, we all know that, so why doing him like this here? It just makes no sense. Nothing much has changed from the gameplay point of view and some areas are just boring. The ending, however, manages to do even worse than this. If the message is that revenge is bad, then why does Abby get away with what she's done? Does it make any sense that Ellie lets the only person who wronged her live and kills everyone else? This is just ridiculous. This game is nothing like the critic says about it. Absolute trash.    … Expand

    It isn't just the story that is the problem, but the storytelling, the execution. pacing, believability, and transitions from gameplay to story were so far from the standards of the first game it is hard to believe this game was made by the same developers.

    About 20% of the reason I looked forward to this next installment in the franchise was for combat and game play. That' the only reason I gave this game a 2, rather than a 0.

Auch wenn über die Story viel negatives berichtet wird, so ist sie doch die beste die es jemals gab. Ein Spiel welches so mit den Gefühlen spielt gab es noch nie. Selbst Tage nach dem Finale denke ich über dieses Spiel nach und wird auch lange in Erinnerung bleiben. Danke NaughtyEinses der besten, wenn nicht sogar das beste Spiel auf der PS4. The gameplay added a few new elements but kept it mostly the same as before, although it was way too often taking on other humans and not nearly enough of taking on the infected. I also would have like more 'no kill' solutions in all the environments (minus boss fights), where you could sneak through completely or kill everyone.

    The graphics were stunning (HDR mode was very nice option) and the new elements keep this game up where it belongs as one of the best of the year.

    The drawback was forcing us to play as Abby .. there were lots of opportunities for her to be redeemable before Lev and even after Lev she wasnt really close to redeemable until she was on the posts at the end. When she only cared about Lev and not revenge.

    Too many new factions introduced and very little story involving them and their motivations. Each of those could have been individual stories, instead they were glimpses and after thoughts.

    This should have been a straight play as Ellie with the early play as Abby all that was needed to get you introduced to the character and setup the rest of the game as revenge for Joel after Ellie had decided to forgive him.

    And for all I read about 'open world', this game is large, but not even close to open world. Each area has one way in and one way out(regardless of how large they are) .. and you generally have to kill everyone or everything to get out.

    I will play again, but I do not love this game the way I loved the first one. It was close, but it could have been game of the decade with a few tweaks.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So lets start with the positives. First of all this game is beautiful. The graphics and lighting are gorgeous, as are the character designs. Some of the levels are stunningly atmospheric and make the game play so tense and immersive. The soundtrack was also great. The signature Last of Us music and sound design adds another level to the very haunting, heartbreaking and terrifying aspect of this game.
    But, and this is a big but, my experience was spoilt by a poorly written and executed story line that if edited and reordered, could have made this game almost perfect. Having Joel's brutal death so early into the game and to then be forced to play as his killers character was beyond frustrating. With no sense of how long this section would be I rushed through most of it until it dawned on me that this was going to be a very long slog. I tried really hard to put my frustrations aside and enjoy the experience but Abby's very long, cringey, back and forth, pointless story line focusing on characters that you already know are dead was incredibly boring. If we had been introduced to Abby's character at the beginning, with much shorter playable sections of her and her friends, intertwining and crossing paths with much longer sections of game play with Joel and Ellie, leading to either a final fight at Jackson or a cliffhanger that Abby, upon crossing paths with Ellie throughout the game, had discovered the location of Joel (the scene in the snow where Owen and Abby are looking out over Jackson would have made a great ending cliff hanger), at least the player could have grown and even empathised with Abby's character throughout the game. It felt like i had jumped from the first to a third game, not that I was playing a second game. If Joel's death were placed at the end of the game, this could have paved the way for the third dark and brutal, Seattle based revenge story that this game was with Ellie torn between seeking revenge or sacrificing her life for the cure.
    The first Last of Us was fantastic, almost perfect and this was such a crappy way to follow on from that beautiful story. The Last of us 2 has pissed all over what what so wonderfully achieved in the first. I am so envious of the players that came away with a positive experience after playing this game, I really am. I wanted so much to love this game but for me, a very poorly ordered and executed story line has ruined what could have been a truly amazing gaming experience.    … Expand

    This game is truly a masterpiece. I have never before played something this incredible. This game has the greatest storytelling I have ever seen in any medium. I wish I could rate it a 15 out of 10.

    Masterpiece ! It’s a good story with well-written characters.Graphics are sumptuous, there is detail and work everywhere even in adjoining places.

    This game is great, full of generosity, full of beautiful landscapes.Everything is seamless in the gamepplay. For me it’s the game of the ps4 in the same way as God of War and Bloodborne

    Brilliant game. People complaining about the plot need to grow up - you either liked it or didn't, but it definitely was executed in a very impressive way. It has been a good ride worth every penny. The first game came out 7 years ago, the fans shouldn't expect the same feel - we all move on with the times, so did the game.

    Finished it yesterday and I got to say, this is a goddamn masterpiece that only comes along every once in a while. Last few times were Death stranding RE2 Remake and Red dead 2. This game in terms of gameplay, graphics, level design, music and sounddesign etc, raises the bar for the industry. The story is so dark, hard and such an emotional rollercoaster, that it will leave you beaten and bruised by the end and gives you a lot to reflect about. Unlike what you might hear online, the story is VERY last of us. It just takes - maybe unexpected - themes and dynamics from the first game, and takes them to their logical conclusion. And seeing and playing this, will leave you feeling very uncomfortable, but that is a good thing. And people who make fun of these things, like streamers and youtubers, seem to do so, because they have some sort of persona to keep high and it’s easy to just join the meme outrage train. And the stuff in the story they seem to complain about, just makes them look like a bunch of pansies.
    I’ll be honest, there are some moments that require you to suspend your disbelief, but it will cause an eye roll at best (if you can let that stuff go). But all and all, story wise, it might be up there with games like Read Dead (1&2), Nier: Automata and Spec-ops: the Line, probably exceeding that last one.
    In any case, if you own a PS4, you owe it to yourself to at least give this a try. Streamers make money off of making cynical rage videos and take any opportunity to do so. Don’t let that ruin the fun for you. And again, I feel sorry for the people who didn’t enjoy this as much as I did, because I haven’t felt these emotions playing a videogame in a long, long time.    … Expand

I finished the first game right before I started this game and the gameplay isn't that much evolved but it's been more refined and stealth is done much better this time around. But i think that makes it even more great! i really felt that the game direcotr and everybody who worked on this really makes himself much thoughts. And in my opinion this is a mile stone. Maybe it is ahead of its time but that is more what get me shocked. Because i did not think that so many people are that " conservative" . I would find it less good when you would just get a game like every other game on the market, where you play the "good" guys and kill the "bad " guys... this gets boring and moreover it is not the truth. This game shows what really matters. That every Person in this world has a diffrent story and so a diffrent background and opinion and diffrence in his actions. I am so proud of naughty dog that they really are able to surpass the first game. Like with only a little bit more game mechanics but a really much better ground idea! i think the most bad reviews are just maybe sad or sth like that. But that is what happens in life. It is not everything an happy end or a statisfying end for one person. It is always just subjectives.
    So you will never make everybody happy but stay yourself and especially stand for yourself! and that is what naughty dog did. Awesome work! so much work to produce a masterpiece like this with this graphics and everything ! i am so happy that i am able to experience this awesome game in my lifetime. In my opinion it is a game that goes the important step into the right way. But like the game and everything else.... All depends from the View.

    Es lamentable ver tanta crítica por temas homófobos y porque también muchos han querido apropiarse de la obra y decidir ellos el destino de los protagonistas, pero no, está obra es de Naugthy Dog y ellos deciden como acaba.

    Es una historia de venganza, de dolor, de perdón, de arrepentimiento, de pérdida y de soledad. Ninguna muerte es especial, ningún personaje es especial, ninguno es bueno ni malo, simplemente son humanos con sus virtudes y defectos que hacen lo que hacen en función de sus circunstancias. Es genial.

    Loved the story. It’s a deep dive into the psychology of two women who come from very different backgrounds and yet they’re lives intertwined and the parallelisms could not be more apparent. Big upgrade to the gameplay of Part I and we meet some interesting NPC’s along the way. Very much worth the play. Such an intense game, just wow.

    Excellent continuation of the first game, highly recommend! While I wish a couple segments of the story went differently, I was still very impressed with it overall. The message and themes of the game were very thought provoking. Would highly recommend!

    The Last of Us changed the world of video games as it was not just a game but a life experience of unparalleled emotional depth that has never been seen before. While Part II is not on the same level, it took a different path by creating a dark, nonlinear and mentally destructive tale of revenge making it one of my favorite games on PS4.

    The strongest element of this game is the emotional trauma that happens within the first hour which only gets more painful as the story progresses.

    While exploring a meticulously crafted world where every abandoned room had a story to tell, I would catch myself standing and savouring the magnificent details unwilling to rush through a single meter. The music was divinely painful as every guitar string cut right in the heart. The brutal gameplay allowed Ellie to serve vengeance in the most horrific ways to NPCs that had names and often begged for mercy. Then suddenly, everything changed.

    I did not understand why did I have to play as Abby. I hated her, I hated how she looked, what she said and no matter who she helped I felt nothing but infernal hatred. As the hours passed, my resentment grew to the point of bursting that happened during her final encounter where I was literally screaming because of what I was forced to do. I hated the game and what it was putting me through.

    Even after switching back to Ellie, my heart kept pounding for an hour during which I realized that the point of Abby was not to show her personality but to fuel my hatred towards her and to further elevate my experience as Ellie. Mad with rage, I was ready for retribution but the last 10 impeccably crafted minutes changed everything. I felt Ellie's pain the entire game and yet, somehow I was ok with her decision.

    During the epilogue, I realized how much the game has played with my hopes and feelings by not allowing me to know where the story was going. It left me confused, bitter and empty. I was unsure of what I should be feeling because no other game has ever had such a non linear emotional experience. The saddest part happens every morning when I wake up and my heart aches because it's all over. 10/10.

    Stop whining and play through the whole game yourself, its at the very least 20-25 hours of playtime minimum, yet people cry about it on day one release date.

    I guess a complex revenge story is to demanding for people in these days of Marvel and all those happy little endings and shallow entertainment, lmfao.

    It could have been more satisfying for all of us to kill Abby, but with all that has happend in the game it´s absolutely understandable from an narrative and emotional standpoint that Ellie can´t take it no longer and grew tired of her own hatred and pursuing her revenge.
    In the end it costed both Ellie and Abby to much just to have their sweet vengeance...
    Abby literally lost every friend shehad after killing Joel and Ellie most likely destroyed her relationship with Dina and Tommy, for different reasons, and let´s not forget Jesse got killed because of all of this, not to mention that she killed a pregnant women, not that i personally cared about that **** Mel, but it´s understandable that it would take effect on Ellie...
    Only Wolf I felt ever sorry for is Owen anyway, but thats not the point.
    The moral of the story is, to quote RDR2: 'Vengance is an idiots game'.

    Sinceramente pienso que the last of us parte 2 es uno de los mejores juegos que he jugado nunca, que me ha hecho emocionarme y quedarme pegado a la pantalla. De lo que más he disfrutado aparte de su historia ha sido el gameplay, sobre todo la lucha. También es cierto que se repiten muchas mecánicas y que algunas son directamente las mismas que las del juego anterior, pero aunque esto seaSinceramente pienso que the last of us parte 2 es uno de los mejores juegos que he jugado nunca, que me ha hecho emocionarme y quedarme pegado a la pantalla. De lo que más he disfrutado aparte de su historia ha sido el gameplay, sobre todo la lucha. También es cierto que se repiten muchas mecánicas y que algunas son directamente las mismas que las del juego anterior, pero aunque esto sea así, por lo menos en mi caso, no se me ha hecho pesado ya que me he divertido bastante con cada tiroteo o zona de enfrentamiento, queriendo siempre hacerlas perfectas. Pero no todo son cosas buenas pues nada es perfecto en esta vida, y el mayor fallo que yo le encuentro al juego es su durabilidad. En mi opinión dura demasiado, tanto la parte de Ellie como la de Abby deberían ser mas cortas pues hacia el final del mismo me encontraba impaciente por terminarlo.

    Por otra parte, el apartado técnico es más que perfecto, lo mejor del juego. Cada animación, expresión facial, los propios gráficos, la inteligencia artificial de enemigos, infectados y acompañantes. Todo me parece sublime en este aspecto.
    Claramente no es un juego de 10, pero tampoco de 2 y 3. Creo que lo justo, tomando la variable de que la historia te puede gustar más o menos, es que el juego esté entre notable y sobresaliente.    … Expand

    I love this game. Story is interesting. Gameplay is fire. Soundtrack is lit. Graphics are generation defining. There is just so much to like here. :) LOVE IT SO MUCH. It's so deep and everyone is missing the point of it.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Emotional rollercoaster. During Covid19 lockdown I discovered TLOU1 lying around and was instantly hooked. To put into come context I had just finished part 1 no more than a week before Part 2 landed through my letterbox. So, I can understand that a lot of players who adored part 1 fell into disarray when Joel died barely 2 hours into the game. After a 7 year wait and everything! But don’t judge the game on that point alone (which a lot of people seem to be doing). I HATED Abby once she took that final blow to Joel’s head but with the amazing story telling talents of Naughty Dog, the stunning graphics and real heart in mouth gameplay I ended up sympathising with her to the point where even I was confused! Where this game really thrives is the narrative. It reminds you that the characters we control are human, just like us, with real emotions and desires. And actually, on paper, Abby has been through far more hurt than Ellie has so when her backstory is played out, you could argue that her actions were justified.
    Just as a sidenote to anyone who is unhappy with the game’s ‘agenda’ and feels uncomfortable with the mere thought that their ‘macho’ gaming experience should include any representation other than the Joels & Tommys of this world - grow up. Play this game again when you’re free from your cloud of rage and appreciate it for what it is - an inclusive, enthralling and immersive experience.    … Expand

So I took my time in this game because I wanted to feel the characters, I wanted the deep raw emotion of connection you would feel with the first one. And in a perfect world that's what you'd get. It took me over a week to get to the end as I wanted to process each moment. Instead I was handed a revenge story that left me feeling like a withered stump. No connection, the only person I felt anything for was Ellie. My favourite parts were the flashbacks. Playing as Abbie for the other half of the game felt distasteful, irritating, and boring. I couldn't stand her character and you have to be enslaved to that experience for hours. I thought okay maybe only two hours as her. Instead I have to watch an incredibly awkward sex scene, a boring love triangle, and her anger at her friends being killed as if it's a surprise. When she just did the same thing. Stopping the cycle of violence could have been put in a third story. I'm left with no emotion, no satisfaction. Other then I just want to play Ellie. I don't care about abby and her constant drivel. Would have liked to see more of Dina at the least. Abby was terrible. Ugh. Just ugh. Please learn from this and make a third one that you learned from. Though now Joel's dead so seems like there's not much for redemption. You couldn't have taken his life half way through or 3 quarters and given us an emotional story arc? Please don't bring abby back she's pointless.… Expand

    all that wait only for the apollo scene; which is a flashback to tlou1. this game is a disgrace towards the entire gaming community. i finished the game %100 so i am entitled to write a review because paid boot lickers thinks so. can't shield homophobia for too long with paid critics and bot 10/10 givers.

    un 7... porque direis? es muy facil
    a nivel visual el juego es excelente, no se puede negar
    a nivel jugable casi excelente, lastima del abuso de spamear cuadrado a todas las cosas
    a nivel de historia es... PARA MI horrible, el hecho de matar a Joel de buenas a primeras a manos de Abby y luego tengan el valor de forzarme a jugar con ella para que entienda que es "victima" de las circumstancias....
    desde el momento en que se mata a Joel ya sabes de sobras que Abby no te va a gustar, es mas cuando la volvia usar, lo primero que hice es dejar que me mataran como 20 veces.
    pero para mi el punto clave es el final, el hecho de que Abby y lev sean capturados y luego Ellie vaya a por ellos, nose, chirria demasiado, es como si hubieran hecho un primer final (trozo de la granja) y luego de golpe digan, sabes que? que no, que vamos a sacarnos este final, con el "gran" combate final entre las dos chicas, hagamos creer que por fin Ellie va a eliminar a Abby, aparezca un flash de Joel, y decia no matarla.

    como he dicho antes, PARA MI un insulto de historia, pa que cojones haces todo lo que haces, si luego no cumples con lo que te has propuesto?

    ademas que para mi, el final bueno lo tiene Abby, que sale viva, con Lev y se piran, mientras que Ellie que le queda? dos dedos menos, con lo cual no puede tocar la guitarra (hola? has provado a hacerlo con la izquierda?????) por ello la conexion con Joel se muere, Dina y JJ ya no estan, con ello a perdido a su amor, y el hecho de ser madre junto a su amada, apra que? para nada, un desastre de viaje por parte de Ellie que no tiene ni pies ni cabeza.

    en fin, que directo pa game que se va este juego y asi no pierdo tanto dinero    … Expand

    The Last of Us Part 2 exceeds the first game in all aspects. I couldn't be happier how the sequel turned out. A beautiful story full of emotions and feelings of love and hatred. Thank you, Naughty Dog. It's definitely the best game I've ever played and I'm sure I'll play it many times again.

    Beautiful graphics and animation. A great world. Interesting start to the story. But the boring long continuation of the plot, the illogical and untruthful behavior of some of the characters, the disappointment at the end and the terribly made character of Abby.

    Game has evolved very little playing wise since the first entry, graphics are top notch but the game itself is a lot of cinematic scenes way too many and the actual playing time you end up just walking a lot, puzzles are not very challenging, game is very violent and sexual, really hard to look at sometimes

Donde el juego baja 5 puntos es en la historia. Soy fan del primero, por eso, al matarte a Joel en la primera hora de juego es un error muy grande. Te hacen querer al personaje de Abby cuando desde el principio ya sabes que le vas a tener manía. Y todo el resto del juego... hay momentos muy disfrutables matando gente, infectados, huidas muy bien hechas, momentos frenéticos... podemos disfrutar todo eso ( resalto la parte de criticar Jurassic Park 2, me encanta jeje). Pero la historia está vacía. Muchos ratos parece un culebrón, te matan personajes de repente, agujeros de guión, decisiones de personajes que no entiendes... y del final del juego...mejor no hablamos. Acabas con amargura y pena, muy diferente de cuando acabamos el primero. Larga vida a The last of us Parte 1… Expand

    The death of Joel was hard to accept but it was necessary to create the emotion for the characters and the audience for the rest of story.

    The ending of Ellie losing everything, is a great counterpoint to her thinking that because she couldn’t die creating a vaccine that her life didn’t matter and was meaningless to her losing everything the more she tries to get revenge. Even losing her fingers so she can’t play guitar which is her last solid link to Joel was inspired.

    Loved the game, 100% doesn’t deserve the hate it’s getting    … Expand

    I put the game down halfway through, ain’t about to finish it. Achieved similiar "stunning graphics" on most of my PC games. Sold my copy on the used market already (yes, I warned the buyer, as is fair).

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
