    Story: Honestly, it's not as bad as the other reviews say it is. It's likely due to the halo effect that most don't connect with the characters or their motives. The writers try a little too hard to force an agenda, yet there is an ugly side to humanity as well that we try to avoid and instinctively abhor. If we accept that what's shown in the game is possible of any of us, then the plotStory: Honestly, it's not as bad as the other reviews say it is. It's likely due to the halo effect that most don't connect with the characters or their motives. The writers try a little too hard to force an agenda, yet there is an ugly side to humanity as well that we try to avoid and instinctively abhor. If we accept that what's shown in the game is possible of any of us, then the plot is easier to stomach.

    The storytelling itself is acceptable. The writers do manage to help you bond with the characters. At the end I found myself sympathizing with both the protagonist Ellie and antagonist Abby, as well as their companions. If the game had a little more light, most would give it an 8. But the plot is dark. Really dark. The characters do redeem themselves at the end, but that is too little, too late.

    Gameplay: Same as always. Not much difference compared to the first game. Combat is a little more fluid and exploration a little quicker, but basically the same. And by that I mean entertaining. It becomes repetitive, but the game isn't long enough to get you sick of it.

    Graphics: Much improved over the first game. Textures, detail, design, are all a step above the originals. But that is to be expected. The previous game was a made for the PS3. Wouldn't say that it's amazing though. But there are some portions deserving of praise, such as the character facial expressions and how natural the character's movements are.

    Voiceacting: Perfect, 10 out of 10. The plot might not be perfect, but the characters told the plot as best they could.

    Overall, an acceptable plot, Good storytelling and fine everywhere else. 8 out of 10. If it were a little brighter, it'd have been a 10.    … Expand

    A ND conseguiu entregar a melhor experiência desta geração. Tecnicamente o jogo é incrível em todos os quesitos: gameplay, gráficos, cenários e combates. O roteiro muito bem conduzido até o desfecho, carregado de dor e sofrimento, uma ótima representação do que é viver um mundo apocalíptico, já que neste contexto, os infectados são os menores dos problemas.

    I've got to admit that i love this videogame, except the end part, because i felt empty... I think that the end of the previous game was better than this one... But the story of this second one was better than the first game

    Beautifully made game, maintains the tension and jump scares of the first game, amazing story line but not for snowflakes or people just looking for a remake of the first game. Combat can get a little tedious because the levels are so damn big, but offers a lot of exploration and hidden gems.

If you're basing your opinions on some secret agenda, well I didn't see anything forced on that side, so that's one, another one is the story, which it would never be the greatness of the first part.     At first, this was an 8 for me but on my second playthough, I had an even better experience, so that's a 9 (for me)
    The story is more and more interesting if you read the files, if you overhear conversations because you get to understand that you're not killing bad guys, but people like Ellie and everyone in Jackson.

    I'll keep this spoiler free. This is a 10/10 game in a lot of ways. I am blown away by basically every aspect of this game aside from a couple of things. But one of them is so important to me that I had to take off so many points from the total score.

    The first one I'll warn people about is that this is kind of a horror game at times, in ways that the first one was not. It's scary, stressful, and it took a huge toll on me both emotionally and even physically. (I had an upset stomach for several days and had to take a break after a particularly scary sequence.) This game is also a lot darker in general than the original. Actually both in terms of available light (tons of flashlight use here where it would otherwise be pitch black; this gave me a headache a couple of times and I had to take a break,) and thematically. I'm sensitive. Your milage may vary! I wouldn't take any points off for this alone.

    And now for the big disappointment: this wasn't the game I was expecting. It wasn't the game that I wanted. I wish they had used those phenomenal resources on a different story. What I was looking so forward to was a game about Ellie. Some kind of adventure that she goes on, twists and turns, grows as a person--just typical good story things. A revenge plot could have been fine, but I wanted a character focused game. Instead, this is a game about "the cycle of violence." The characters/plot were a vehicle to tell a story about the cycle of violence. This game is extremely violent. It's stressful. A lot of the time it's grueling. A lot of the time it felt like it was trying to teach me a lesson (that I'm not sure I needed to be taught.) It made me do all kinds of things that I didn't want to do. I thought it would be worth it to see the story through, but I'm not sure that it was. :( To me, the ending was not satisfying. I'm not even sure I like Ellie anymore. It all feels kind of pointless. Maybe that's making a good point about violence and revenge. But does that make for a fun game and a satisfying adventure story?

    Anyway, I do want to keep it spoiler free so there's a lot I can't say, but just know that if you loved the first game and are looking for a sequel that feels similar to that game... you might be disappointed. I almost feel like this game would be better for people who have not already played the first game. It's hard for me to judge the quality of this game because I'm just so disappointed. I spent $80 to get headaches, stomach aches, stress, and see one of my favorite video game characters of all time get sort of ruined.    … Expand

However I believe they dropped the ball here. This game looks and plays fantastic. Although I felt like the game got too stale and boring less than 10 hours in till the end of the game. The AI actually somehow got worse than the last of us part 1. Enemies grabbing you and the ai will wait to get the enemies off you. Sneak attack in front of The human players. And they won’t be alerted. games best moments were the flash back sequences. between Ellie and Joel. However about 2-3 hours in a very impactful event happen which makes you wish the game took a different approach. This character death would have been more impactful if the game latter half wasn’t so lacking in character development and with its new characters. The game makes you play as a new chapter named Abby to chase down fan favorites. I couldn’t help my self to not care for Abby. Due to the fact she’s after revenge of a death of a character from the first game. A character that wasn’t even a secondary character. More of an NPC that has less screen time than Sarah. Does this game deserve all the hate it gets. Yes. I understand and agree 100%. I’m giving the last of us part 2 a 4/10. Everything looks great. But the game is buggy/glitches. Annoying repetitive gameplay. Terrible story to those who loved the first part. Maybe it could have lost the playable Abby parts of the game to shorten the game length and it’s worst parts of the game. And added more with Joel and Ellie, the best parts of the game. The game started with Joel. And it’s a shame he didn’t get more to do.… Expand

I'm disappointed, upset..even more. The First 10 hours of it were brilliant, yeah the story of Ellie is interesting, strange and beautiful. But..we have a huge "But" and it is the story of another character. I understand why Druckmann wanted make such a story what he wanted to show to players. In my opinion he failed, he couldn't make me love this new character(and as i see thousands of other players), for many reasons. Why is Abby such a huge piece of meat, such stupid girl with ridiculous behavior. Right from the start of the game the authors show us that she and her friends are just brutal maniacs, who want to attack Jackson, further they kill Ellie's best friend. And after that Druckmann want me to play for this piece of **** for 15 hours, without strong plot and without a normal explanation why i must play for that character. After these 15 hours of humiliation i also had to strangle my favorite character(i mean when Abby strangles Ellie and i must push buttons to do it). Why?(( Eventually i even can't get revenge for death of Joel (also my favorite hero). So I hate the second part of this game. I can give 10 points for good graphics, music, atmosphere, beautiful views, marvelous mechanics and brutal and nice killing of enemies, 9 points for the first part of this game (journey of Ellie, Dina and other her friends) and 1 point for the second part and playing for Abby.

    Simply beautiful game. Don’t let the mob mentality hate dissuade you from playing this masterpiece. Very much worth the buy. I wont say it’s as good as the first, but I loved it nonetheless.

    This game is an incredible piece of art. Through the game, the developers were able to make the player go through the stages of not only grief but forgiveness as well. This is the biggest achievement of this game: it makes you hate someone and, through the magic of gameplay storytelling, make you change your heart and be closer to being forgiving than to be consumed by hate.     Bought this game on release day without having been spoiled and finished it in 3 days on Hard mode. Last of us part 1 was my favourite game of the last decade so had high expectations. I absolutely loved it and a week later still find myself thinking about it and all of the stories it tells. I don't want to wait 7 years for a part 3! Thanks to ND!

The graphics, music and everything about the atmosphere were top notch and along with the passable game play ( wish in the 7 years it had evolved a bit more ) were the only things that kept me playing to the end. Regardless of the individual story beats own merits even the way the game is organized seems haphazard and amateurish (flashbacks here there and everywhere, scenes created just to illicit a certain emotion at irrelevant times, and jesus did abby sections make me want to drop a game like I never have before).
    Really wish this was some random zombie game and not the Tlou2 so I could just forget about it but damn has there ever been a worse sequel to a great game that completely forgets what made the original great, i.e . not some grandstanding never before seen plot ( it was a zombie property in the 2010's for God sake) but the relationship of 2 characters were allowed see grow and develop.
    I reckon you can remember every single named character in the Tlou1 but in Tlou2 there's so many thrown at you with no time to shine that theyre usually dead before you've had a chance to memorise their names or even see a second personality trait.    … Expand

The issues with this game lies in the story. This is spoiler free. I am a big fan of TLOU. This next installment seems to be at war with itself between the story it's trying to tell and the gameplay. A stealth/shooter game is not the best way to tell this story. This story actually works much better as a movie than it does a game. This story is about revenge/trauma/ PTSD/ guilt/ and forgiveness. That's a very hard thing to pull off when you are killing countless enemies for entertainment. What you have is a story not matching the avenue that is being used to tell it. There is also too many cut scenes and flashbacks used. It leaves the gamer holding the remote doing nothing and I always advice against it. The first game added a significant portion of it's narrative to the actual gameplay it made it more entertaining. But sometimes, when you make choices and write yourself in a corner you have to use flashbacks to get yourself out. Flashbacks are a very weak narrative tool and must be used wisely. This game went too hard at this. This is why the story was average at best which hurts a narrative game's replayability to a certain degree. The gameplay is tense, yes there's a form of repetitiveness from it but there's only so much you can do inside the world that was built. It feels tense throughout especially at harder difficulties. Overall, I enjoyed playing this game. This is not 10/10 game of the year material reviewers are saying. It's also not the trash people are claiming it to be because they are mad at the story's direction. It's a solid 7 out of 10 that will inevitably be in the running for game of the year and inevitably lose. From a story standpoint it's weaker than it's predecessor. Most everything else is an improvement. Graphics: 10

I feel cheated, cheated by ND. I feel ND has stolen my money. They use fake trailers to made us think that Joel will be in this part too, very important part of Ellie 's journey. This game would be about Ellie's journey with Joel. They use Joel to increase the game sales, that's all. It's disgusting. And after 2 hours of gameplay, Joel is dead in the worst, cruel and unnecessary way. What's the point of this? I knew that Joel probably die in this game, but wtf? His death is the worst thing i've seen in all my life. He deserved better than this. I have no problem with Joel's death, is the way he died that make me feel ill. Unrespectful, awful for a main character. Non sense. The game lost his sense in that moment for me.

    The worst part is when you discover that you have to play as his killer, the game force you to play as Abby and try to force you to empathize with her for 12 hours. What's wrong with you ND?? Did you think this is would be a good idea at all? ERROR! You can't empathize with a character who kill one of the favourite characters in the franchise. I don't care about Abby, I don't want to know anything about her, I don't care her life, i **** don't care. Her part is full of situations that nothing have to do with the real plot, are unnecessary, it's just filler to sell you a character like the good guy from the movie. Neil said that Ellie would be the only playble character, funny right? They hid Abby and they excuse themselves with the surprise factor. They lied again.

    The script is full of holes and non sense situacions like Tommy giving their names in front of a lot of strangers with guns or Abby telling Ellie that she killed all her friends, what do you expected?? YOU KILLED JOEL FIRST
    The game is full of violence, you have to kill a lot of people but at the end, surprise!!! The violence is bad my friend. That's makes no sense. All the Ellie's journey and Joel's death is for nothing, FOR NOTHING!!! Ellie can't forgive Joel for saved her but, she can forgive Abby for kill Joel.Really?? I can't. I forced myself to play the game, to see the end when i really wanted to deleted the game from the console, all the way and for nothing.
    The story is poorly told, a non sense.

    Visually and technically, the game is soooo impressive, the best thing that i ' ve seen in my life. But this is not enough when the story is really bad, when the story is poorly told and when you kill a main character with a poor and stupid excuse.

    I feel insult, they destroyed all the good things that TLOU had, they destroyed everything even the relation between Ellie and Joel, and why? I can't understand it. And I'm tired to read comments about you're inmature or homophobic, YISUS!! NO!! It's just i don't like how this is went, that's all. I'm not expected a happy ending because TLOU is always cruel, but this is too much. I play games for fun and for the feelings and this game made me feel miserable.

    one of the main sole problems is the secondary character, Abby. apparently when you finish the first half of the game as Ellie THEN you can play as the killer of the original protagonist Joel miller for the second half.it seems with the whole narrative playout that we the gamers should go with the flow
    of things and love it right away but sadly disappointed the only real characters that are still worth giving a damn is Ellie and Tommy I didn't even finish the story because of how bad and unbearable the story was getting.i even got the collectors edition for it. so in conclusion to it all
    it a real shame what naughty dog did. feeding off the glory of the first game and making an empty promise

For a game that is so divisive it is one of the most exciting and interesting experiences I’ve ever played through and experienced. The level design and character designs are beautiful, each level was created so carefully with so many options for movement and progression. AI saw an overhaul and they behave fairly realistic and create challenges (especially on hardest difficulty)

    I can understand some gripes with the story not being what was expected. But this does not make Th e game a 3/10 , people need to get over their pre conceived notions and understand what this game is doing and saying with the story. I enjoyed it and was on the edge of my seat. It has many emotional moments as well.    … Expand

    For my understanding, it just ND want player to accept his idea but give up anything of TLOU.
    But we buy TLOU 2 because of we love TLOU 1 very much.

    As a huge fan of the first game i was really looking forward to part 2. I love part 2 just as much as part 1. this game is one of my all time favorite games of all time. i love the story the graphics are amazing. i beat the game within 2 days after it came out and i found myself still playing it a week later. i love this game and think its absolute perfect.

Story is a 2/10 and that is me being very generous. Killing off Joel is very disrespectful to the character and the players. I don't have a problem with having him die at some point but the way they did it was bad. If they just made last of us part 2 about Abby and Lev's relationship , I think the story would've been a lot better. They could've taken this game to so many directions, but they simply chose the wrong one. A major disappointment after waiting for 7 years. I would've gave this game a 1/10 if I was reviewing it based only on story. But I had "fun" with the gameplay, only. Jump scares and action was great...I don't think I would play a Last of Us part 3 if they decide to continue the story, Because I really don't have any connection with Abby and based on the ending, I don't care about Ellie as well. Upon completion I can safely say I do not feel that this game pays off in any shape or form, the story seems utterly pointless and disconnected from the characters and world that we came to cherish within the first title. The actions and decisions of Ellie throughout this game lead to nothing and has left me confused about what the message of this game is. The ending could have been resolved by offering the play a multiple choice of either killing or sparing Abby; making for the 10 hours of Abby gameplay mean something.

    It is such as shame because this game will influence how I view Naughty Dog in regards to future titles, as I am sure it will be the case for many other gamers.     Normally, I'm a silent player that plays the game and don't talk that much about it only, BUT after seeing all the hate this game gets, I have to talk about games openly for once..

    Before I go into details let me give you my ratings:
    GRAPHICS: 10/10
    SOUND: 10/10
    STORY: 9/10
    GAMEPLAY: 9.5/10

    This game is quite near to being a masterpiece and I will tell you why:

    The prologue is simply one of the best I've seen in a very long while. It was a good decision to remind the player of what happened in the first game and to give the player some insight in the relationship of Ellie and Joel right after the end of the first game.

    The beginning relatively peaceful, which brings you into the game softly and not too harsh.

    Then stuff is about to go down (also, the point of the game, that pisses off the majority of people, not me though): Joel gets killed by Abby. The majority says that Joel wouldn't tell his name to strangers and would not even think about going into the room with Abby and their companions. But for me, Joel looks like he softened in Jackson in the past 4 years. He was about to bring new people into Jackson and didn't think about his past at the moment (also, they were in a really spicy situation, which made things hectic).

    So all in all Joel's dead was not only justified, but also good executed. Of course some people say, that Abby is a nobody to Joel, which is true, but only hating her for killing Joel and being an unknown character is quite simplistic. If you hate Abby for killing Joel, then you would also need to hate Joel for killing her father in the first game. Also you should hate Ellie for doing the same stuff Abby did then.

    The story gets told in a really, like seriously REALLY, unconventional way, which might have turned off the one or other.
    What I mean with this is that there is a bigger storyline and flows within the game (so shall I say?). And in this bigger storyline there are flashbacks, that underline the current situation in the game perfectly. And when you're on a specific spot in the game, the game "starts again" the same time, the revenge path of Ellie started. The twist: You play as Abby and life in her life for a third in the game. Personally, in the beginning I had real trouble to feel bad for Abby but while playing her part of the story, I realized that she's just as human as every other person in this game.

    This underlines one of the game's theme: "There are no heroes, only survivors.", which is perfectly executed.
    Another theme of the game is: "The cycle of hate and revenge.", which is also extremely well executed in the game, because as you can see, Joel did some gruesome things in the first game, that led Abby to seek revenge to his actions and then to his death, which sparks hate in Ellie towards Abby, so she starts a literal RAMPAGE to find Abby, resulting killing her friends, which then let Abby want to kill Ellie. And so on.

    Nearly in the end (which is really the best outcome they would get out of this situation) Ellie lives peacefully in a farm few miles from Jackson with Dina. Tommy shows up to tell Ellie, that they found Abby and he still wants to get revenge.

    Ellie wants that too, so she starts seeking her revenge again and is nearly there to kill Abby while drowning her. But then she realizes, that this cycle will never end if nobody lets go. So she let's her live. She learned to forgive, which is the last theme of the game: Learning to forgive.
    There is even a flashback scene, in that Ellie tells Joel that she tries to forgive him for taking away her meaning in her immunity.

    In the end you see Ellie walking home to her farm near Jackson and Dina is left. Everything is taken away from her. Only the guitar is still there, which she tries to play, but she can't, because Abby bit 2 of her fingers off in the last fight. So she lays the guitar down and walks away. Symbolizing her letting go of her past.

    Now to the gameplay.
    The gameplay improved in many ways:
    - more traversal
    - the dodge button feels nice (but I'll come to it in a minute)
    - stealth feels more realistic (you're never fully hidden)

    A BIG PLUS is the graphics. The game looks like straight out of a camera lens. It's disgustingly beautiful. There are insane details in every corner or brush, water looks fantastic an the characters are almost like real life.

    Also, Gustavo Santaolalla's music in the background immerses you into this brutal and raw world, but also calms you down in certain moments. Simply majestic.

    Just don't listen to the negative reviews (atleast don't trust the bad reviews with no real reason why they hate it).

(SPOILERS) I am a big fan of the last of us and this story doesn't work, Joel has survived for 20+ years and he didn't trust many to survive and then he saves some random ripped girl and trust her to go to here group. And gets killed and tortured because of it. Ellie in the end has been hunting Abby (the ripped hulk girl) for months maybe and then in the fight Abby bites of Ellie's fingers and Ellie just let's her go ?
    After nearly killing her girlfriend and Jesse, Joel and shooting Tommy in the head/eye.

    The worst part of it all is that you have to play as the HULK for 10 hrs just because naughty dog want's you to understand her side of things although she killed Joel and most people do not want to play as the one who killed Joel the lead character in the first last of us.

    Although i think the story is really bad, The graphics and npc animations Ellie's animations other stuff like gore and new zombies are great So i give it a 4/10.    … Expand

    The anticipation waiting for the Last of Us 2 was well worth the wait. All the teasers and trailers that we have seen over the past 5-6 years set expectations high. Even though the trailers and teasers were a misdirect in regards to the direction of the story, the level great story telling, improved gameplay mechanics, graphics, and Ellie’s journey did not disappoint. Presentation, sound,The anticipation waiting for the Last of Us 2 was well worth the wait. All the teasers and trailers that we have seen over the past 5-6 years set expectations high. Even though the trailers and teasers were a misdirect in regards to the direction of the story, the level great story telling, improved gameplay mechanics, graphics, and Ellie’s journey did not disappoint. Presentation, sound, and narrative are at top shelf quality in this sequel thanks to Naughty Dog. Even though I did not agree with some aspects of story, i still had a memorable experience that will last into next gaming generation.     I want to start off by saying this game is neither a 10 or 0. It doesn't deserve a 10 with the glaring story flaws it has, nor does it deserve a 0 with the incredible graphics, sound, and enjoyable game play it has, although what's there is somewhat the same. Personally, I think of this game as a solid 6/10, and would consider it a 7/10 with a multiplayer component. Just the story,I want to start off by saying this game is neither a 10 or 0.     A masterpiece from start to finish. It’s unfortunate that because it didn’t go the way people wanted it to, causing toxic fans to try and tear down what is truly a work of art. Start to finish it’s a rollercoaster of emotions and will leave you thinking long after it’s done.

Все вместе, взявшись за руки и припрыгивая под песни Элтона Джона, они отправляются в путешествие.

    Как вариант концовки. Пока наш врач делает операцию по смене пола Леву(Лили), Элли перед своей операцией ловит переклин, так как если она принесёт себя в жертву, то смерть Джоэла была напрасной. Она начинает давать заднюю, ее связывают, она вырывается (как обычно), убивает ВСЕХ и возвращается в Джексон.

    Atenção ao detalhe e grafismo no seu melhor, gameplay inovado quando comparamos ao original mas um pouco mais do mesmo e a narrativa ficou um pouco aquém daquilo que esperava, na mesma, não é tão má como tentam passar informação! 8.5, como já escrito, é a minha nota!

Around 13~14 hours of playing the game it became kinda boring doing the same thing all the time. I wouldn't not recommend this game.

    Today, I completed TLOU 2 for 2nd time. This is the fkin deepest game I've ever played. Story is amazing. The gameplay is flawless. I love new characters. And I love that the game is courageously brutal (like GOT). My favorite game ever. 10/10.

    The details Naughty Dog have gone into in creating this game is incredible. Especially the animations , this is a next gen preview on current gen hardware.

    Seeing the perspective of Abby later in the game makes this story much better and anyone hating on the ending , misses the point of why Ellie spares her.

The reason why i have given this game such a low score is due to the false advertising at the teasing of this game where they blatantly used Joel in their trailers making the whole last of us community believe that he would join Ellie's journey but they instead swap these cinematics with Jesse, which is just a another way they destroyed their own reputation. Additionally, the only critic that give the best response with constructive criticism is IGN Japan, the gameplay of this game is fantastic but the story is the heart and soul of the game and that's completely destroyed by politics which the last game did not blatantly push in your face. i can see why Naughty dog lost a large amount of its employees one of my speculations is probably because the writer and director Neil Druckmann can not take any constructive criticism but would rather call you a bigot or would just rather just take all the positive reviews. The game purposely wants to do a parallel between Ellie and Abby but it just does not sick together its just too forced and ruins the flow of the story. Finally, Abby kills Joel even though he saves her life without hesitation but when i comes to Lev and Yara they save her life but hesitate at the start but she spares them and helps them at the end, even though they have probably killed countless numbers of the WLF and her friends this is a plot hole which makes no sense at all. It would probably be better if they just left the last of us franchise alone instead of destroying it with every political statement.… Expand

So at the last minute I decided I’d get it and make my own decision. And wow, I honestly wish I could get my money back. Not only is the story awful, but I could care less about the characters. I literally had no feelings towards any of them besides our already established ones. This felt like an interactive movie. You can watch all the cutscenes online and you’ll basically miss nothing. It felt like the actual ‘gameplay’ was walking from point A to B and some combat sprinkled in. I grew so tired of the stealth, the AI is easily manipulated, I was sick of seeing the same neck stab/break animation depending on who you’re playing, I started to go into the combat guns blazing. When I did that I was able to clear out the area so quickly. On top of that, you'll get an audio prompt that everyone is dead in the area like “I think that’s all of them.” Meaning, nothing is going to surprise you now and you’re free to collect your resources and now you’re off for the next 30-60 minutes of walking or cutscenes. Difficulty should not have to be inflated to make the actual gameplay/combat just feel longer. And it’s not like the combat is much different than it was 7 years ago, it’s actually easier especially since Ellie has her endless knife and Clickers are totally pathetic now. This game in essence is a QTE Movie/Walking Sim. Just watch the cutscenes online and you’ll pretty much miss out on nothing. There’s nothing here in this game that hasn’t been seen before or done better.… Expand

    graphics and world: 10/10 this is the most beautiful game on the PS4 by far. its world is extremely detailed and full of letters, and notes detailing small tales and lore.

    story: 9/10 the story, while controversial, really worked for me. it made me think and most importantly feel for not just Ellie and Joel, but eventually, some characters who at the start I did not expect to feel for at all. I believe that the story will only really work if it manages to pull this off, and for me, it did. of course, there are some minor things I did not like throughout the story, but nothing that ruined the experience at all. the story is emotional and left me thinking about it for days.

    sound and music: 10/10 the soundtrack is absolutely amazing and works so well for the game, being unique to the sequel while keeping up with the overall themes of the series. the sound design is also very good, with gunshot sounds standing out to me as powerful blasts that disrupt everything and ring in the air afterwards.

    total: 9.25/10 the last of us part two was a sequel that while at times didn't feel like it wasn't doing justice to the characters, but certainly did do justice to the gruesome world they lived in and left me thinking about it for days.    … Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
