    Well .... pfiouf ...Le jeu est magnifique et pleins de détails, agréble à jouer (les escquive sont top!) L'histoire est dérengeante et on oubli que nous sommes dans un jeu!
    Je pense que c'est la force de NaughtyDog est effectivement de nous faire oublier que tout cela n'est qu'un jeu. Le scénario et "les" héroines ne plairont pas forcément, mais le JEU est juste incroyable.     But the Story is meh ...
    I would like to see The Last of us Part 2 with the same characters but a different story . I would like a Story that is about The Relationship between Ellie and Joel and a Story where Joel doesn’t die Maybe something like : Abby finds out where Joel is and she tries to find him an kill him and Joel and ellie have to run away or something like that . I would appreciate it much more to see a this story then the story we got .

Very strong game with moral gray setting, classic game-play mechanics from previous part but with better AI of enemies, some moments was boring with repetitive kills of enemies especially when I started to play for Abby after Ellie's story, but some moments was like a bolt from the blue, in the good way!     Probably my most eagerly awaited game, seven years in the making and while the gameplay, graphics and infected characters are amazing, the story and plot are just hideous and poorly executed, in the end, it was all pointless.

    This game was beautiful. It's bleak and the tone is dark, but it has a very distinct pallet/voice. I applaud the incredible talent that worked on this game.

Конечно, как и в любом проекте, в ней есть минусы, как например: спорный баланс сложности (На максимальном уровне все работает прекрасно, но слегка маловато лута, а на всех остальных Элли/Эбби становятся просто терминаторами, а припасов так много, что очень часто их просто некуда складывать)

    В остальном игра прекрасна, она обладает невероятной графикой и бывает сложно поверить, что она работает на PS4, Дизайн уровней просто умопомрачителен, была проделана колоссальная работа, а практически все локации имеют огромные пространства для исследования и несколько путей достижения цели. Так же враги умные, а битвы напряженные и захватывающие. Крафт не напрягающий и не надоедающий, как по мне, и, в целом, улучшился со времён первой части, как и прокачка оружия и персонажей. Такой атмосферы как в этой игре я нигде и никогда больше не видел, от спокойной и радостной прогулки Элли с Джоэлом в ее день рождения, до путешествия по телебашне (или телестанции), в которой только недавно жестоко убили кучу народу.

    Сюжет же держит в напряжении постепенно раскрывая причины произошедшего в начале игры и предлагает еще раз поразмыслить на вечную тему правильных и неправильных поступков и расплаты за них. Что же на счет финала, лично я немного разочарован, но не потому что он плохой, а потому что он, на мой взгляд, слишком реалистичен. Это хороший финал, но уж точно не для такой сильной истории как серия Last of us.

    В заключении могу сказать, что если бы мне еще когда-нибудь предоставилась бы возможность вернутся в эту увлекательную вселенную, я бы принял приглашение не раздумывая    … Expand

    I played the whole game just because of the lies from Neil Druckman, Naughty Dog and Sony. It is not so important, what your own opinion on this game is but to lie at your costumers to sell your stuff can NEVER be a right way. So i won´t get my money back so there is only one consequence: Don´t ever again buy anything where Druckman is involved.

    Le jeu est loin d’être nul comme le disent d’autres avis il est juste moins bon que le premier de mon point de vue, le scénario est bien sans être excellent, le gameplay et une version améliorée (légèrement) de la partie 1, il est assez lent comme le 1 mais c’est une suite il fallait pas s’attendre à un dynamisme à la doom eternal. Les graphismes sont magnifiques (normal pour une fin deLe jeu est loin d’être nul comme le disent d’autres avis il est juste moins bon que le premier de mon point de vue, le scénario est bien sans être excellent, le gameplay et une version améliorée (légèrement) de la partie 1, il est assez lent comme le 1 mais c’est une suite il fallait pas s’attendre à un dynamisme à la doom eternal.     The story honestly seemed pretty hollow and unimpactful. There was a lot of gore and gruesomeness, but it didn't equate to you getting much more out of it than shock value. I really think that they could have done more with this game, but in the end this definitely was falling short of expectations for a follow up to the first game. Lots of filler that just made the game pointlessly drag out.

А главная проблема тут в том что нам на самом деле не показывают «серую мораль» а после середины игры начинаю обелять чёрное. Извините но абсолютно мерзко играть за Эбби. А попытки оправдать её достаточно слабые. В конце-концов если нам хотели сказать что Эбби не плохой человек то почему она зная что Джоэл убил её отца это спасая девочку, что он только что спас жизнь самой Эбби, она всё равно его пытает и забивает клюшкой. Был бы она действительно не плохой то в её глазах он бы если и не заслужил прощения то хотя бы легкой смерти (без пыток и издевательств). Не уместная Санта Барбара (я не про локацию а про беременных на каждом шагу и всяких любовных треугольников, а 8 сезон ИП прям точная аналогия игры) не логичность некоторых поступков. Персонажи раскрываются плохо (но это в сравнении с первой частью, если говорить об играх в целом то это среднячок). А уж концовка вообще не обоснована ни как. Это может игрок, зная все события, может уже простить и не так хотеть смерти Эбби но у Элли вообще не было повода её прощать кроме того что их оставили в живых в театре, но зачем она тогда отправилась за ней? Короче финал обесценивает всю игру, все жертвы и все усилия. Да и в целом весь сюжет тут пытается шокировать а вот с другими эмоциями всё плохо получается(исключение эпизод с днём рождения Элли) да и явный закос на игру престолов и Нигана из ходячих мертвецов (только в ходячих раскрыть Нигана получается гораздо лучше) Со всем остальным помимо сюжета всё хорошо не считая что иногда разрыв между интересными событиями и сражениями бывает очень большой особенно на высоких сложностях когда надо собирать весь лут и заглядывать в каждый угол прежде чем дальше идти. Ну разочаровывает то что иногда напарники раздражают и мешают что от этой игры точно не ожидал. Ну и так как сюжет для такой игры это «краеугольный камень» на котором всё и держится игра на мой взгляд 6/10 ( но тут может каждый по разному воспринимать сюжет, на кого-то сработала задумка Дракмана но как мы видим сейчас явно не большинству) вот и получается что игра плоха там где игроки не ожидали, и получили то чего не хотели. Лично мне это игра обезценила первую часть.… Expand

I was sceptical at the start of the second half of the game, when I started playing as Abby. I was like - "no way, I am not playing as this woman she is the enemy!!!" And then yes, I started to understand she has made choices and is human and is no more a villain than Ellie is. They are both as bad as each other. It did brake my heart that Ellie left Dina to chase down revenge again. I hated it. That's what makes it so good. I almost cried. It was perfect. Beautiful and painful. To all the negative reviewers - it's literally a game about the apocalypse. Of course it's miserable. And as to people going on about LGBT stuff - it's not shoved in your face. They barely even talk about it. It's just normal. Gays and trans are everywhere and have been for as long as humans have been alive. Stop being angry just cos your straight white guy isn't the hero for once… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Reading some of these negative reviews amazes me. They're all nonsense. The game was released on the 19th and there are a bunch of reviews slamming the game that day, uninformed opinions.
    Gameplay is improved, the ability for stealth, the interaction with the scenes.
    Once again they've created a beautiful and atmospheric world with some really nice touches and attention to detail.
    The build up to climax of the intro is amazing, really well put together and it did a great job of getting me invested in the rest of plot to want to enact revenge.
    The rest of the game was great too, immersive as expected and some real good scares at certain points. It's definitely scarier in parts than the last one.
    As for character development the plot and story is very very good at shifting your perspective on how you feel about the characters. At times forcing you to go against your will and work against what you really want, but it pays off and makes you empathise really well with all parties.
    The ending is great too, ties things off nicely, but it's also quite melancholy. There's a real sense of loss that you feel on behalf of the character which given all that they've been through is understandable. The fact that naughty dog can make you feel that is a credit to their team.
    Highly recommended. I've not read a single convincing negative review here.
    The only thing I'd have liked, would have to been to also play Tommys days in Seattle.
    I'm hoping for some add-ons later down the line with that content and perhaps with journeys to Seattle.    … Expand

The game looks so good, I still can't believe it how amazing this game is, the visuals, the graphics, the characters, everything. But they really made us waiting for story like this, it's just awful, I couldn't take it at all. Yea I know what Neil wanted to say but this is just horrible for me at least. They way they killed Joel, the way Ellie turned into a cold blooded killer is just not what I was looking for. It supposed to be a story about Joel and Ellie, not about some random character who has a huge desire for revenge and then we had to play with that character too. I would happily give this game maximum rating if there would be a story which makes sense and would be enjoyable. For me the game ended when Joel was brutally killed with a damn golf bat, I mean come on, he deserved so much better, we, fans deserved so much better. If I could go back in time, im sure that i wouldn't buy this game. It caused me so much disappointment. If you have 7 years to write a story, then why would you come up with something like this? I'm really sad to say this but I regret that i've bought this game.… Expand

    Love Part 1 and still have my PS3 and PS4 copies and completed the story mode on all levels. But Finished playing Part 2 today. Yes from gaming view good game mechanics are updated on the first one. also the weapons. but today traded in my copy of Part 2 as I not willing to play again. The story s missing the hook for you to keep playing over and over. shame as this could have been great.Love Part 1 and still have my PS3 and PS4 copies and completed the story mode on all levels. Beautiful game perfect in almost all aspects, the problem everyone had with this game is the expectation on the story being better than Part 1, which probably will not happen in a long while because it's so good, the journey of Ellie into darkness and becoming the villain of sorts and then the journey of Abby after meeting Lev is great, most people who rated this game under 5 because of the story are not being objective and mostly taking over mass histeria without probably putting to much time to the game, this game has better story and characters than Assassin's Creed Origins and Horizon put together, and the same people giving less than 5 to this game gave around 8 to these 2 games, so there's clearly resentment to either LGTB content which doesn't affect the storyline, or can't get pass a good story just because their favorite character gets killed… Expand

    Best game ive played this generation. No doubt. Its a true masterpiece in storytelling and game design. It takes the characters from the first game and builds on tjen while introducing a brand new cast og characters which are equally as interesting.

    It takes many bold moves story wise which imo pays off in the end.

    This game was everything that I hoped it would be. The story may not have been what I expected, but it took me in unexpected directions that were amazing on their own. There is a lot of nuance in the game and in its intertwined story. The voice acting is award worthy. 10/10, for sure.

I’m writing this review due to the hate this game is getting I understand the dislike of story but it’s not a 4/10 in any way the game has so many pros from gameplay, design, sound and AI is so well done it’s unreal & the story which I admit I understand why people dislike but for me it was brilliant & made perfect sense with a few strange moments also the character which people hate I generally started to understand and rooted for her. So in my opinion the game really shouldn’t have less then 7/10 just because you dislike the story doesn’t mean it’s a bad game overall.… Expand

It does a lot of things right, mirroring joel's experiences of restoring his humanity through a kid's innocence in the first game with that of abby in this game. It does a good job humanising everyone and creating a world filled with anti heores rather than villains and heroes.     Since Friday I can’t tear myself away from the gameplay. Sitting at work, I dream of getting home as soon as possible and turning on ps4. It is unfortunate that users of other platforms on which the game did not work out break the rating of such a game. Bravo, developers!

    Extremely thought provoking. Keeps you guessing the whole game, even with seeing some pre release spoilers. Lots of twists & turns. I did not agree or like some parts of the game, but when reaching the end of the game it came to a full circle and all made sense. Amazing game

    All hate aside this game was fantastic. They left no stones unturned in the story and the game play was brutal. The entire experience was an improvement over the original. If there is any gripe it could be the games length because it is a long one. It took me 42 hours to complete with all the exploration.

    explain to me the cheap death of joel. How a main character, so smart to have survived 25 years simply gets inside a house full of strangers with his same experienced veteran brother, both give out their names. Explain why we played as Abby half of the game when all we wanted was see her suffer. Explain how the game could have ended at peace but ellie decides to go after her again (thankfully), yet when she is just about to kill her finally, she has a stupid flashback of Joel (what makes me mad is that another flashback made her go after Abby again)and decides to spare her. In the end, ellie lost everyone, 2 fingers, didn't get revenge, but Abby got her revenge and got a happy ending with Lev. Wasn't this game abou Ellie's revenge? Didn't you want Ellie to get revenge? Who gives 2 **** about Abby honestly. **** that trash game. Neil **** and his stupid "deep" meaning ideas. If the game solely consisted of Flashbacks of Joel and Ellie like those from the museum, it would have been a masterpiece.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. From a technical perspective this game is a masterpiece. From combat to movement game is in a great shape. Environment is gorgeous, animations are fluid and impactful when it comes to combat. You can see how much effort developers put into this game by simply checking even such small thing as weapons upgrading. When upgrading a weapon your character will actually detach part that is being upgraded and will either replace it with new one or visually change current one, and all of this will be properly animated. When it comes to story — developer’s tried to show both sides of it, I actually liked it, but it seems like because we have two main characters from both sides too many retarded moves are made by them just to keep each other alive.

    I finished this game on hardest difficulty available and now I will try to explain what I liked and disliked.

    What I don’t like:
    1. Retarded AI. Sometimes it is enough to run behind a corner for enemies to lose your track. 2. Arenas becomes boring after several hours of gameplay. After several hours in game you will notice that gameplay follows the same formula — you will be put in small arena, enemies are patrolling it, and exit will be blocked with “hold triangle to open this door” thing, which basically means you have to kill all of them, because opening this door will make noise and take time, which will attract enemies and they will not let you do this unless all are dead. 3. Ammo limitation. Because ammo is limited in this game you’ll have to count every shot, and also developers won’t let you pick more than 12 bullets for rifles, 16 for pistols and around 10 for shotguns. Why the **** this is a thing ? 4. Weapons variety is extremely limited.
    5. Pregnancy. Oh boy, why every pregnant women in this game have to go to frontline ?
    6. I don’t wanna beat up Ellie
    7. Abby kills Joel, Ellie kills Abby’s friends, now they are trying to kill each other. This revenge circle man.
    8. 2 boss fights, both the same, you even have to kill the same creature. The only difference is that one you kill as Ellie, second one as Abby.

    What I liked:
    1. Visuals. Obviously.
    2. Environment
    3. Combat. Fluid and impactful animations, just what you need.
    4. Exploring is actually fun and rewarding.
    5. Cut-scenes and face animations even during combat will actually let you understand what character feels right now. Even in small talks facial animation of your character will let you understand how he feels about this topic. Just awesome.    … Expand

If you remain in this mindset and don't think critically then you WILL hate the direction Naughty Dog have taken. If you can think critically however it all will make sense at the end although you may still have some conflicting emotions. Remind yourself that the world of Last of Us is absolutely brutal and cruel and the story decisions made by Naughty Dog reflect this reality. There are no free passes in the Last of Us apocalypse. Although I do wish one free pass was given....

    The gameplay itself is spot on and a perfect refinement of the first game. What surprised me the most was the sheer size of the game. Just when you think it's going to end it keeps going and going resulting in 25 hours plus of gameplay - which is great value for money! Developers such as Capcom with their abysmally short 4 hour Resident Evil 3 "remake" which sells for the same price as The Last Of Us Part II have been put on notice. As for the graphics they are absolutely incredible and are the best seen on PlayStation 4. Naughty Dog has given the console a beautiful send off by unlocking every drop of the PlayStation 4's potential as the generation draws to a close. I played on a PS4 Pro on a 65" HDR OLED television and I was regularly transfixed by the photorealistic graphical fidelity and physics. The HDR implementation is subtle but very effective creating nice contrast ratios. The game renders at 30fps 1440p on PS4 Pro and 30fps 1080p on base PS4. Sound design is also amazing. I highly recommend playing the first game before jumping into The Last of Us Part II as so you'll have the complete experience. Overall you simply owe it to yourself if you're a PlayStation 4 owner to play The Last of Us series. Controversy aside, I highly recommend The Last of Us Part II. It is a harrowing, emotional and brutal experience much like life itself.

    8/10 only because I wish story was not as unforgiving and savage as it was to a character from the first game....    … Expand

    I could criticise that the start & finish to combat sequences are too certain. There's not much surprise encounters when looting etc. Game is like now it's fighting part and we shoot them and our characters says literally oh we killed all the guys and now it's looting part. It could be better if we were on the alarm all the time reflecting the environment. Not much a downside but yeah..

    Story & Writing 8/10
    I must say I didn't see any spoilers beforehand except the critical one at the beginning. When I finished the game, I was satisfied with my feelings and the journey I have been through.

    It slows down at times, feels too stretched. It lacks some quality and I must admit that it's somewhat disappointing. I'm not talking about like all the angry fans about creative decisions by writers, this is their story. They've chosen a story to tell and I liked it, just not as good as I expected.

    There could be other ways to continue our beloved duo's journey and it would be more appealing for the fans. They have chosen a a bold approach and I respect that.

    BTW, there's not much SJW thing to worry about. The things there are only adds to the story in a good way.

    Overall, this is definitely one of the best games of this generation and a MUST PLAY for all the gamers.    … Expand

    Графика - ещё один плюс в копилку Нила Дракмана. Народ, вы видели прорисовку собак? Каждая шерстинка нарисована в ручную, а массовку женщин? Такое впечатление, что они были скатаны с первой части Uncharted...

    Геймплей. Мне показалось или у женщин в этой игре (кроме главных персонажей) никогда нету огнестрельного оружия? Всегда они стреляют или с лука или идут в рукопашный бой, но огнестрельное оружие всегда дают мужчинам.

    И таких "дьяволов в деталях" просто огромное количество, что резюмирует один простой вывод: Игра от мужчины для мужчин. Это великий протест всему феминистическому сообществу который наглядно иллюстрирует то, куда может привести матриархат.

Each bullet feels powerful and destructive, and the brilliant display of gore with each headshot only accentuates the force behind each shot. The player can choose to sneak past enemies, pick them off with deadly precision or to rush headfirst into enemies and engage in gunfight. No matter which playstyle you prefer, each is made viable through the diverse range of weapons and trinkets at your disposal.

    Wyoming, Seattle and the other locations which the player visits throughout the games 25 hour run-time are intricately animated. The breathtaking visuals are not only pure eycandy, but each location is also geographically accurate and mirrors its real life counterpart. It is awesome witnessing the decay of manmade infrastructure as nature restores itself throughout the city and pervades each building. However, there is a dramatic change in scenery with each level, giving each encounter it's own style and mood. For example, in one mission Ellie will be exploring the dank, and creepy, underground subway that is now host to deranged and grotesque Infected, however in the next level our heroine will be wading through the swampy marsh of what was once a freeway.

    SUMMARY - The Last Of Us Part 2 is a fantastic game with a heartbreaking story, breathtaking visuals and horrifying gameplay. Naughty Dog have sustained their position as a top-tier video game developer with this installement in the TLOU franchise, and although there seems to be many games coming later this year from promising developers, I struggle to see how they could match the brilliance of this masterpiece.    … Expand

This game has the potential to be an 8 outta 10 or even a 10 out of 10 for me because the gameplay and animations are great the world and graphics are beautiful the sound and details and all the little things that went into this game is top notch. I loved the different zombies and enemies types and loved the just scares in this game but the only thing that killed it for me was the story. I did not mind that they killed Joel for shock value I like how the game had a dark tone and was gory it felt like a horror game. Which makes sense for this world that these characters have to live in. Having what happened to Joel makes sense for the revenge rampage Ellie then goes on in this game. I just wish they didn’t lie to us in the trailers making it out like we can play with Joel because I bought the game thinking I was going to get a different experience then what I got. I still would have possibly bought it if I knew what the game was actually gonna be like but for a lot of people they would not have the dynamic of Joel and Ellie was not there in this game and Abby and Lev dynamic definitely didn’t make up for the loss or feel the same way they did in the first game. That dynamic is why people loved the fist game in the first place and wanted to buy Part 2 because people wanted more of the Joel and Ellie duo and wanted to see where the story took these two. Also a lot of people did not like the fact that they were lied to about not having to kill dogs but in this game you are forced to which I don’t mind it doesn’t bother me but I can see how it bothers some people. I also did not like how we had to play 10 hours with Abby and where forced to sympathize with her character and understand why she did what she did to Joel when in the beginning of the game they made us absolutely hate her and her character. Maybe if they reconstructed the story and had all the Joel and Ellie flash backs and Abby’s flashbacks actually be apart of the story and happen in the beginning of the game we might have liked her character more and understood why she did what she did but no that’s not the story we got. I also didn’t like when we finally got done playing through with Abby we were forced to beat up and almost kill Ellie and Dina I didn’t like how Abby was such a cold hearted killer with no remorse and dealt with no side effects to her daily life and mental health I did like how Ellie had ptsd from what happened bc it makes sense. Going through what she had to go through and living in that world would be hard for anybody and I like how they did that they made Ellie feel more like an actual human. I also like how naughty dog tackled real like issues and topics with this game without getting to political the world is crazy enough and that’s why we play video games is to get away from that kinda stuff sometimes. Which brings me to the last part of this game that I did not like which was the ending. They should have just ended it with her on the farm with her new family trying to live and learn how to be herself again and get over the all of the things she has seen and gone through up until that point and maybe left us with a cliff hanger for the third game but no. They had Tommy show up who I thought was dead and guilt trip her into keeping her promise and going after Abby again. Which felt rushed And didn’t feel like was the original ending that was supposed to happen. I didn’t mind the Rattlers and I liked playing in Santa Barbara but I didn’t like how they caught Abby and Lev and that’s how Ellie finds her all weak and dying and that’s when you finally get to fight her. We have seen Ellie take down some big enemies but instead they have us fight Abby like this. It made it seem like Ellie could not beat Abby at full at strength and they knew this and it felt kinda disrespectful to her character. I loved the fight between the two at the end but the fact they just let her go made it feel like I wasted my time and killed all those people to get to Abby for nothing. Definitely super unfulfilling and unsatisfying ending for me and she still didn’t get Justice for Joel. She did not keep her promise to Tommy. Dina left her and now since Abby bit her two fingers off she can not even play the guitar which was one of the last things she could do to remember Joel by and just leaves the house and walks into the woods and that’s it. Terrible ending story wise in my opinion. I do feel like this is a game everyone should play but in my opinion just wait until it goes on sale or just borrow it from a friend. 6/10… Expand

    Many of the negative reviews stem from people being unhappy about Joel’s death. I don’t really understand that as there wasn’t any other place for his story to go. Also, his death is the catalyst for the whole story. In regards to Joel’s death, I feel like most people don’t really understand that he has to deal with the consequences of what he did and that he never was a good guy per say. I almost feel like some of the people who don’t understand that are the same people who think Walter white is the good guy in breaking bad    … Expand

I ended up being as invested in Abby's story as Ellie's which had be putting down the controller not wanting to fight in the final battle - which is amazing that a game can create that feeling. Hats off to Naughty Dog who stood their ground and made a game realistic to the world of The Last of Us, and not another cookie-cutter game where the hero kills the villain and everybody lives happily ever after.… Expand

Loved the story structure of Seattle day 1-3 and character switch. Impressed with how they handled the different perspectives. Flash back sequences were amazing. Wasn’t thrilled about how they handled the Joel’s scene but felt satisfied by the resolution with Ellie’s story. Gameplay mechanics, level design and graphics are masterclass. You are able to approach every enemy encounter with multiple pathways and combat can be so diverse and intense. Some truly amazing action sequences and set pieces.

    New factions introduced and world building were well realised. New companions Lev, Yara, Jesse & Dina were fine but weren’t as interesting as Joel, Tess & Henry. LGBT & SJW agenda were handled really well but the pregnant thing was a bit in your face.

    Loved how dark, gritty and shocking the game was. Most of the story beats resonated with me. It’s such a different game from the first but Still feels like a natural extension of TLOU. I’m glad we got a sequel. Many are not happy about it and I can understand why. I did have some issues with the game but once I had completed It, I was absolutely impressed but what I had jsut experienced. Not many games even come close in ambition, quality and production.     Teetering on 7.5-8 for me. There is 0 fan service, the story is told in a pretty unfavorable way and has weird pacing, but I liked it regardless. The combat is standard and barely adds anything new from the first game, but it's fun anyway. It can get old especially during parts where the story felt like it was being dragged a bit, so it made getting from point A to B unenjoyable. However,Teetering on 7.5-8 for me.     Through out its amazing storytelling, this game is so new and different that a gamer may not know how to truly appreciate the story and i think that's why many people end up not appreciating the whole game. The game is absolutely a masterpiece and i don't think i will ever see anything close to it.

    I loved the first Last of Us, finished it twice and owned two copies. I saw the leaks for the Last of Us part 2 but I went in with an open mind which is what Neil Druckmann wanted. I disliked the game and hated the story. Now the reason the game isn’t a lower score is due to the improvements of the gameplay, UI, graphics etc. The sound and music were also phenomenal. The flashbacks were great but also teased the fans with what the story should have been focusing more on. This is a story driven game therefore the storyline makes up a large portion of the review. The story left a lot to be desired and while it had some great moments dotted throughout the rest was a mess.
    - Characters like Joel and Tommy acting completely out of character in order to drive the revenge plot for Ellie was just poor writing. And no the “they were living an easier life in Jackson doesn’t cut it” they’re still living in a zombie apocalypse in a bigger settlement with regular patrols and security which would indicate an even greater need for caution. Also Joel was a careful character before the whole outbreak as seen in the start of the first game where he avoided helping a family because he needed to protect Tommy and Sarah and this is before he even becomes a survivor for 20 years and lives as a smugglers during the rest of the outbreak. - Forced events and more stupidity, Tommy and Jesse leaving the map on the ground so Abby can conveniently track them to their exact location. Jesse getting killed off just so Ellie can have her utopia with Dina, Joel dying early on for mere shock value, and as touched on before he died in a poorly written fashion that was not only disrespectful to his character but also insulting to the fans.

    - Cycle of revenge and forgiveness was done poorly. If your going to make it at matter of perspective then perhaps don’t have Abby kill Joel in the first 2 hours and then have the players switch mid game to try and get us to sympathise with Abby who brutally murdered the most beloved protagonist infront of the second most beloved protagonist. The sequencing of events in this game is a new level of stupidity. Also since Ellie ends up losing more than Abby does and actually showing remorse for her victims it makes the theme and cycle of violence rather pointless and futile for the player. It actually shows that you should end the cycle of violence through killing all your enemies therefore no one can get ‘revenge’.

    - Forcing the player to play as Joel’s killer for half the game is just **** honestly, and to make things worse you have to beat the **** out of Ellie and shoot Tommy, this isn’t fun, this isn’t entertaining, this isn’t even good from a story point of view. It’s lame and piss poor. I’m
    not going to care for some random stranger who wanted revenge for her dad, EVEN though her dad was about to kill a child without the child’s consent and Joel killed Abbys father not out of malice or hatred but because he was defending Ellie who he viewed as a daughter. The attempts to sympathise with Abby are shallow and poor. I would rather Tommy and Ellie hunt Abby and kill her while Ellie deals with how Joel lied to her, then Joel could sacrifice himself and thus ultimately being forgiven by Ellie in the process. Hell it would of been cooler to play as Tommy and Ellie’s instead of Abby.

    - Anti climatic ending and **** loads of depression because why not? Tommy is now divorced and bitter becaaause why not, Ellie is left alone which is the thing she feared the most. She’s missing two fingers and can’t even play the guitar which is one of her last connections with Joel, Dina left Ellie. Joel and Ellie never reconciled or even got the chance to because of the wonderful and peeerfrctly written character Abby. Let’s just make all our main characters suffer and show how bad revenge... yet the woman who starts all this gets to have her ****ty mirror relationship of Joel and Ellie with Lev and to continue living her life with no guilt nor remorse for anything she’s done unlike Ellie. There’s a lot more to add but not enough space, the lying and false marketing by baiting players with Joel, Ellie acting like a **** to Joel for so long when all he is doing is helping her (though she does have some reason to remain angry but it’s overdone). Pregnant women fighting in a warzone between warring factions?? It’s just so tiresome to play this game and it sucks all your emotions out and makes you question why you even played it in the first place.

    A massive disappointment and a complete massacre of the characters from the first game. The Last of Us 2 is not a game I think I or many others would consider playing again.    … Expand

Ce jeu m'a complètement rendu fou, m'a énervé à me faire jouer un antagoniste, au point même d'avoir hâte de rejouer Ellie pour achever sa vengeance... jusqu'à ce que je compatisse pour Abby et change de pount de vue! Sinon il est magnifique graphiquement parlant, la bande son et le soud design sont très réussis et une mention spéciale aux animations faciales!

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
