    This game is incredible... If you actually play through the game and listen to what it has to say, man does it say a lot. A very ambitious and risky story, not everyone will like. I personally loved it. I loved the visuals, dialogue, story, gameplay, everything about this game is absolutely fantastic. And not once did I come across a single game-breaking bug.     As I see it, many of the negative reviews were written on the day of publication or two days after.
    (You need at least 25-30 hours. for the story.)
    So rather reviews of people who were affected by a leak. Many users have rated TLOU2 here because of this leak. Unfortunately, this doesn't do the game justice in any way, which tells such an exciting story that you'll probably remember in 10 years.

    This game is a masterpiece. Look where you look at it.
    The gameplay, the graphics, the map designs, the **** advanced artificial intelligence that this game has, everything makes it a masterpiece. That they kill so many characters and that in the end it reaches nothing gives us an incredible message, revenge is a dark road. Whatever they say, TLOU IS A MASTERPIECE

I wanted to like this but its so polarizing that to do that i would have to dislike the characters and story of the 1st game and that's what i loved so much about it so it didn't work for me. Far too long spent playing as characters i'm not interested in and such obviously forced attempts to try to get me to sympathize with an unlikable character that it just came across as lazily written. The game does look stunning though and i feel a lot of effort was made but that story........it just spoils it so badly and the pacing is terrible.… Expand

La personalidad de Ellie no parece la misma de la parte I y la muerte de Joel fue sin gracia y sin drama alguno, ademas el antagonista principal "Abby" no es un villano a la altura para el juego, está poco desarrollado y es imposible simpatizar con ella. Hay juegos en los que el villano es odiado pero a la vez es irreemplazable por su originalidad y este no es el caso. Además ni hablar de ese final tan malo. Importante... al decir que la historia es mala en ningún momento estoy diciendo que es a causa de la inclusión ni nada por el estilo, eso no tiene nada que ver, de hecho esta bien que lo hayan hecho ya que cada quien hace su juego a su manera, pero hay que aceptarlo, el desarrollo de la historia es horrible.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Eu amei o game, faltou pouca coisa pra ser perfeito, o gameplay teve um upgrade em relação ao primeiro e é satisfatório. A história eu gostei bastante, entendo a frustração do pessoal, mas a lição as vezes não vem do que queremos e sim do que não esperamos. Ao final do jogo da Ellie após o que acontece com Owen e Mel eu já sentia que a jornanda não valeu a pena.
    Quanto a Abby faltou uma construção pequena pra ligar ela as crianças, algum diário dizendo que elas estava pensando, pois só o sonho e algumas falas não foi suficiente, mas ainda é uma jornada interessante e difícil de aguentar como foi da Ellie.
    Santa Barbara foi muito importante pois eu queria um novo encontro e independente do fim que Ellie escolheria eu queria Abby livre de alguma forma.

    Sobre a lição do game, a vingança não traria Joel de volta e fez Ellie perder tudo inclusive os dedos que impede de tocar o vilão que era uma forte ligação ao Joel, mas sobrou uma coisa. A vida, Joel deu ela isso e eu acredito que ela vai viver isso da melhor maneira já que foi o que sobrou.
    Abby também buscou a vingança e conseguiu mas ela perdeu tudo quase tudo no fim, mas diferente de Ellie que nem Dina esteve por ela mais, ela encontrou o Lev uma razão pra viver e proteger, uma nova família.

    Os temas por fora são bem abordados, preconceito de um modo geral é bem trabalhado no caso de indentidade de genêro e origentação sexual. Fico triste que isso tenha gerado reações negativas mas ao meu ver game ganhou muitos mais pontos com isso.

I love strong females in games but the way this dude told this story was so bad. I will not buy another Neal game day one again. I am selling this game and all the collectibles now. Bem vamos aos problemas, primeiro nós criamos um vinculo muito forte com os personagens principais do primeiro jogo, para que o diretor os descartassem sem humanidade e empatia nenhuma com os fãs, entendo que o mundo apocalíptico não é fácil, mas a criação da Abby e seu vinculo com os médico (seu pai) que iria operar e matar a Ellie no processo, sendo um membro dos vaga-lumes. foi de um clichê inexplicável, ninguém liga para a Abby e o jeito que o jogo força essa personagem para o público como se ela fosse uma vítima é inacreditável, ela é uma vilã, ela mata o personagem principal do primeiro jogo a sangue frio, o que o diretor iria esperar dos fãs? que amassem ela depois de contar seus sofrimentos? não fode! esse jogo tinha tudo para ter um roteiro magnifico, a roteirista do primeiro jogo e diversos funcionários da NG abandonaram o projeto por divergências ideológicas com o diretor, que forçou goela abaixo sua ideologia no game, mas quem dera esse fosse o problema, seria ótimo e fosse, mas não, o jogo conta a historia e motivos de acontecimentos importantíssimos para a trama de forma confusa, falta detalhes, faltou carinho com a historia e legado do jogo, estou decepcionado com a forma que a NG tratou seus personagens tão queridos isso foi injusto após tanta espera.... E no final para Ellie jogar todos seus sacrificios e jornada fora, demonstrar compaixão, tudo bem que Abby provavelmente morreu por ter sido mordida, a menos que inventem que ela também é imune, historia patética, poderia ter sido uma grande sequencia, mas jogou tudo fora por motivos ideológicos, por agenda, ridiculo. You have to play through it yourself to really feel that though and of you're not going to give it a chance to prove itself story wise then you probably didn't trust naughty dog to make a great sequel on the first place.     Game was forcing way to many politics/opinions

    Goals were hypocritical for characters

    I have more but I would need to get into spoilers.

    I know a lot of people are going to say its because of certain things in the game or things that take place in the first act but this is truly not the case. From a screen writing perspective this is still bad writing, and forced perspectives.

    It also teaches nothing new and its a story that has been done over and over again. Just because it puts shock value throughout doesn't make it good writing. In fact in my opinion its lazy.
    I read the writer from the last game was not involved and it shows. Too many characters are introduced but nothing ever comes of them. Old character don't act like their prior selves.
    The focus of the story shifts trying to make you feel a certain way but a lot of people overlook a certain lack of humanity in another character so it doesn't make sense to compare them.

    I will say I don't think I would've been so hard on the game if it wasn't purposely falsely advertised.They also seem to hide behind certain communities for defense but they have nothing to do with many peoples opinion/review for the game.

    Lastly one thing I really hate is people are saying its just the fan base that is upset. This is not the case as if you go to any major critic site. The Last of Us received nothing but praise. But I would say this one deserves its low rating. Some people will enjoy it but to be honest, this is not some deep writing. Its lazy and forced and uses a cheap trick to try and manipulate the way you feel.

    The Last of Us was a great game. I never was forced to feel, I just did while playing. This game tried to tell me how to feel and I didn't. If this story was told a different way I would not hate it so as much but as it stands, its the worst game Naughty Dog has ever made. I hope they learn from the feedback.

    Positives: AI was great, Graphics were amazing, Music amazing as always, voice acting superb! But the story is the most important part in these types of games so with that I give it my honest opinion. 4/10.

I get the ideas they had and, while it looks amazing...the story is just not cohesive to TLOU1 world-building.     2. despite the death of you know who, the story does not make sense: Abby is so cruel and try to kill Ellie in second encounter, but she stops after looking at Lev while Lev's sis was jsut killed. What a humanity?

It is getting a lot of hate, some for justifiable reasons and much for unjustified ones, but the emotional experience coupled with the sensory brilliance demonstrated by Naughty Dog makes this game one of the best in a very very long time. No game has called on such devotion and such emotional investment from the player. In the words of Troy Baker : You long to love this game selfishly and for your own reasons but the game refuses to do so. It forces you to love it selflessly, and no game has ever demanded so much from a player. While the user review divebomb has cast an ugly shadow on this beautiful game, I believe time will show how The Last of Us Part II is a game for the decades.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Honestly this game is getting a bad rep because people think the main protagonists on anything are untouchable and this game shows that's not true.

    I love Joel but I understood the events that happened needed to because for all the good he made he also did a ton of bad things and sadly he had to pay for it. The characters in this game are great and they did a great job with them. The gameplay is just as great if not better than the first game.

    Now for the story. While I agree that they could have done a better job at presenting the story there's little that can be critiqued about the quality. On one side we have Ellie who is hurting and is blind with rage and vengeance and in the other side we have Abby who was out for vengace for the death of her father. Just as Ellie is doing. What I think hurts the narrative is the constant flashbacks and cliffhangers left on pause for hours while you play some backstory. Although those moments of flashback do provide you with all the missing pieces of the puzzle they sometimes come at bad times.

    This game shows the other side to every story on movies and games. What happen to the other side when the protagonist goes on a rampage killing everyone? Those characters have families and friends who love them. Do you think that all those Fireflies you killed just suddenly appeared out of nowhere? That they didn't grow up and have friends? They they didn't adopt or bring children to this world? And not just fireflies, the soldiers, the cannibals, everyone you kill has someone who cares for them.

    I have to give major props to Naughty Dog and all the amazing people that brought this amazing story all the way from The Last of Us to The Last of Us 2, you did an amazing job. To my knowledge no other developer has had the guts to kill your favorite character off and then have you play as the killer only to beat the living hell out of the other favorite character. I felt grossed out while doing that but I saw the brilliance of it and I truly commend you guys for it. This series will forever hold a special place in my heart. Thank you Naughty Dog.    … Expand

    O jogo é simplesmente muito bom chega até quase a ser perfeito, as emoções q o jogo te passa é indescritível, vc sente as emoções da personagem e tudo no jogo é justificável, onde vai brincar com suas emoções e fazer com q vc sinta simplesmente todas as emoções dos personagens, personagens são fortes ao mesmo tempo q vc quer odiar uns você consegue gostar deles isso porque o jogo te colocaO jogo é simplesmente muito bom chega até quase a ser perfeito, as emoções q o jogo te passa é indescritível, vc sente as emoções da personagem e tudo no jogo é justificável, onde vai brincar com suas emoções e fazer com q vc sinta simplesmente todas as emoções dos personagens, personagens são fortes ao mesmo tempo q vc quer odiar uns você consegue gostar deles isso porque o jogo te coloca na pele deles e mostra suas razões para ter feito tal coisa, eu diria que gostei quase tudo exceto do final não que ele seja ruim, ele tem um significado para mim um tanto quanto filosófico e que faz jogador criar a sua teoria mas n foi o final que eu esperava porém me divertir o jogo inteiro e mesmo depois de terminar ainda o jogo… Expand

Abby did things that made her as bad as Ellie yet the story overlooked it, gave her a happy ending and constantly tried to emotionally manipulate the player into feeling sympathy towards her (One example being how it showed Abby freeing a zebra from barbed wires while you're forced to put down a dog while playing as Ellie making a comparison on how Abby is "Good to animals so she must be a misinterpreted saint) anyone who's "good" or "misunderstood" doesn't beat a person into a bloody pulp and force them to watch their surrogate father who they grew up with get killed in front of them in the most demeaning and brutal way. Even the only potential the story had of giving us a satisfying ending and redeeming its jumbled mess of story was ruined by Ellie leaving behind Dina and her child to go after Abby. She then proceeds to get her fingers bit off (making her not being able to play the guitar) and then in a totally unforeseen turn of events, lets Abby go and because she decided to be the better person and not start another cycle of revenge (Spoiler alert) SHE was the one that suffered in the end. Joel also did something similar, that thing is him saving Abby from the horde of infected and ultimately paying the price for it. It's as if the game is constantly chiding the characters it's trying to get you to dislike for being good people while at the same exact time chiding them based on actions they have been forced to take when they get stuck in a moral dilemma. while Abby, the bully that doesn't genuinely seem remorseful when faced with bad decisions she isn't even forced to take or is apathetic when someone outside her colourful and inclusive cast of friends dies, is constantly held in a moral high ground; never going through a redemption arc and is Immune to anything that makes her an evil person. Speaking of evil people, lets take a moment to talk about Joel, the redheaded stepdaughter of TLOU2. A Cynical and depressed old man whose daughter (Aka Ellie) was forcibly being experimented on (Sidenote: IDGAF about humanity being saved, that still wouldn't have condemned Ellie's death if it happened. Her life isn't any less important than a few hundred that will only continue to live in a dystopian society with infected roaming it) now in this universe's bleak moral values you would expect that saving your daughter and killing her captors is a sane thing to do, right? WRONG! Joel, a character loved by fans unlike Abby gets killed due to this action. Though say if Ellie *did* get killed by said captors wouldn't the masses immediately ignore the fact that they killed a 14-year-old girl and hail them as a heros (See the double standards here?). That's why the developers fail to make us players hate Joel. The death of those fireflies from the first game isn't something we cared about in the first game so why should we suddenly do now? This game is a visually stunning, polished hot garbage with a world that is in a constant existential crisis not able to decide whether it should be linear or open also the controls are so tediously easy that it makes you feel like you're watching an over-glorified Hollywood movie rather than playing a videogame. This game used to be praised for its "bittersweet" story even sparking the debate at the time it got released on whether or not video games should be considered art. but sadly that in no way applies to TLOU2 and TLOU2 deserves no way near a perfect score. Whoever gave it that just proved to everyone how an utter joke game journalism really is and how nobody should trust them when all they ever did was base their ratings on propaganda and personal "preferences" in the game that doesn't apply to the majority of it's intended audience. When Rockstar is able to pump out every 5 years or so a game with phenomenal storytelling yet make it a perfect open-world sandbox then it becomes clear that whoever spent 7 years writing this isn't very competent and any excuses from naughty dog's side become stale.… Expand

Lastly the gameplay can get a bit monotonous and stale, combat is fundamentally the same as the 1st game, and upgrading weapons is not as rewarding/fun as the first game.

    Overall this game is pretty good. A ton of work went into the game and it shows. I understand the frustration behind certain aspects of the story (and those certain events pissed me off as well) but overall it is still a quality game. The game does get unnecessary hate and it is by no means a 0/10 game, but I wouldn’t say it is a perfect 10/10 either. If you’re on the fence about buying this game, I would wait for it to go on sale or something (or wait for the inevitable remastered ps5 version of the game).    … Expand

Геймплей однообразные, из-за большого количества повторяющихся сцен игра становится однообразной. А главное логика сюжета. Полностью потерялась. Существует уже куча игр с выбором сюжетной линии? Но знаете что? Нам дают только один выбор. Один сюжет в 2к20. Система прокачки полностью ненужная. В игре где каждый патрон на вес золота мы качаем скорострельность, все окей. Концовка полностью разочаровывает. Игра очень затянуться. Не понятная и никому не нужная история Эбби, из всего геймплея нам понадобилось 2 минуты чтобы понять не мотивацию зачем это растягивать на 15 часов тоже не понятно Я бы вернула за это деньги да кто нас спрашивает. The awful thing is the story, the player don´t want to play with Abby is very disgusting play with her in the Seattle day 1, maybe that three days with Abby is not necessary. The inclusion of some subjects politically correct is not a problem, are well treated, and relatively necessary at this point of the human history, for me there is no a problem. Maybe if you choose to change the order in your mind, maybe could be a better story or begin the story again and understand more.

    Элли то испытывает потребность к мести, то терзания совести после более 100 личностей( которые на минуту имеют имена) и в том числе собак(тут я вообще молчу... убивая собаку Элли комментирует *Тупая собака*, это как понимать? Собственно как персонаж Элли потерян.
    Далее, Эбби... кхм, нууу ок Баба-качок, бывает... Ну Ок, предположим.
    Дина, не раскрыта как персонаж, лично мне всю игру было на нее плевать.
    Баба с Эбби, та что беременная, то что она испытала, при своём путешествии, подтягивании на канате, болталка в грузовике, прыжки с высоты! У нее уже давным-давно должен был случиться выкидыш.
    Кореец, хахаль Дины, полностью не раскрыт как персонаж, сдох, как говорится, да и хрен с ним, не жалко.
    Плюс откровенная ЛГБТ составляющая.
    Приплюсуем ко всему этому ту же убогую стрельбу с первой части, ту же графику с ремастера и возникает вопрос, как могли эту игру делать целых 7 лет?
    Про концовку я вообще молу....
    Игра полное недоразумение, много ещё у нее косяков, букв не хватит расписывать все минусы.

Las mecánicas son casi las mismas que en la anterior entrega, lo bueno es que se siente más fluido el combate. La historia tiene un punto interesante al darle las dos perspectivas del mismo suceso al jugador. Jugar con Abby y entender que Ellie y Joel no son las únicas personas que se quieren e intentan sobrevivir. Creo que falla en la muerte de Joel, al ser repentina en la historia y no muy digna para un personaje tan querido. Fue lindo recordarlo a través de flashbacks, pero creo que no debería haber muerto tan rápido. En conclusión, es un buen juego pero falla en la organización de los hechos en la historia, sucede también al jugar la mitad del juego con Abby y dejarnos jugar con Ellie un poco al principio, al final y con flashbacks en el medio. Tiene una buena historia que deja ver que no hay buenos y malos, héroes ni villanos, solo gente haciendo lo necesario por sobrevivir y por proteger a los que aman.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. ‏At first I didn’t know whether to buy TLOU 2 or not due to the many negative reviews and many positive reviews, but I decided to to give it the benefit of the doubt. *Spoilers*. At first, the new characters introduced in the game I never really liked, cared or even remember them. The dialogue and chemistry between almost every character is horrible in my opinion. Except for Abby and Lev. I honestly enjoyed their story together, other than that nothing really. I felt like I was forced/supposed to like them just because Ellie does, unlike in most of the first game where you see the progression of Joel and Ellie’s relationship. When Joel died (obviously I was very sad) but at the same time I was excited. I knew Joel was going to die due to the trailers barely showing Joel and every time I heard anything about it was about Ellie. But I have to admit I didn’t think he was going to die this quick. I really didn’t like the pacing of the story. They showed Abby as the “bad guy” for most of the game, while playing as a character you knew and loved for 7 years! And then they wanted you play as and sympathize Abby. This was alright to me at first because of course in the The Last of Us universe there are no “good guys” nor “bad guys”. But every minute passes and it was more boring to me. I didn’t enjoy playing as Abby at all. Especially how most of her story and the reason why she killed Joel was being played in flashbacks. Talking about flashbacks. I didn’t hate all flashbacks. Like how they used flashbacks to show you how Joel told Ellie what he has done, I enjoyed them. Quite honestly I enjoyed all of them. But Abby’s flashbacks not at all. I think if they let you play all of Abby’s flashbacks at the very beginning, before she kills Joel. I think that would have been somewhat better. Most characters death are forgotten, by the other characters even the players themselves I’ve noticed. Nora, Manny, Mel, and Owen, I don’t recall Abby nor Ellie bringing them up, maybe just once. But for characters that are supposed to be one of the “protagonist’s friend group” that’s really low. Secondly, the AI in this game I didn’t enjoy, I played the game on Hard, Medium, and Easy. The enemy’s difficulty barely changed, but the amount of resources and bullets did change within each difficulty. I’ve barely on all difficulties saw the enemy attack one of my allies. (Something the first game excels in by the way) and they always focused you no matter what. Sometimes the enemy AI locks and just hides even though you’re just sanding or running. (Yet again something the first game did brilliantly). Don’t know about humans but if you had the high ground near zombies, they’ll rarely get up to you. And if they do, most of the time they fall down.

    Thirdly, the gameplay is just as good as the first game. They added the dodging but it was very buggy for me and didn’t work as supposed to. Fourthly, glitches in the game was something common in the game. A random burst wrong colours were shown. I.e; A rusted grey drawer that magically has a very bright white lower drawer. Same thing with desks, beds, even garages. And sometimes a dark blue or black square of grass that’s surrounded by green grass. I also randomly got out of the map twice. Finally, some positives about the game is quite obviously, the graphics, they sometimes made me forget how much I hated the story. I liked the realistic physics in the game. Most voice actors were fantastic. All in all, if you enjoyed the game, good for you. And I’m really happy that you wasted your time on a game you liked. And I’m not saying that you’re completely wrong and I’m 100% correct. I’m just stating what I felt while playing the game and hope that you understand why I didn’t enjoy the game. I didn’t dislike it because I’m following other people hating on it. I came into the game neutral. And I didn’t enjoy it at all.

    I’m not sure where the story complaints come from. It was a human story in the world Naughty Dog created for The Last of Us. Great characters and motivations. Particularly poignant to show that things aren’t black and white, but various shades of grey.

    Gameplay was tweaked slightly from the first one with no major changes. Felt very much like a “Part 2” rather than a true sequel.

    Great as a video game, in terms of immersion, graphics, sound, controls. The story...not so good as the first one, but I care more about playing the game.

    Got the platinum after 35 hours playing and gotta say, Neil and team have given out one of the best MASTERPIECE in the generation. People been throwing hate perhaps due to the strong connection with the main characters and gotta say, I'm mad as hell when J**l been treated like that.     A masterpiece that is not for everyone. You will either love it or hate. Either way, you cannot deny the level of perfection and details of all the aspects of this game. The story is shocking and unique. I never felt the way I felt when I finished this game with no other games, movies or series. I'm really sad for Naughty Dogs for all the horrible comments on this game. Gamers are reallyA masterpiece that is not for everyone. You will either love it or hate.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The only part I hated in TLOU2 is the unskippable scene where you have to kill a dog (Alice). I was doing a "No killing dogs" run and that particular scene ruined it. I hated that scene so much, but at the same time, I thank Naughty Dog for making me feel human emotions once more. TLOU2's story is so full of emotions. I absolutely loved it especially the ending. They really showed us what will happen to a person if they let themselves be consumed by vengeance. Very tragic, all will be lost. I also loved that scene where Mel told Abby that she's a **** person then Abby started to cry. That particular scene told us that even a strong person has their own weakness and fear. Not to mention they even gave Abby a phobia. Naughty Dog really gave each of their characters a life. As for the gameplay, I love how they turned us against our beloved character. It's not forced tbh, in fact it is a new experience. The encounter with Uncle Tommy while I play as Abby is really terrific! Now I know the feeling of the NPCs whenever I annihilate all of their team mates lol And Ellie as a boss?!!! they really showed us how dangerous Ellie can be. That boss fight gave me mixed emotions and I'm really glad Naughty Dog gave me that experience. I doubt I'll ever experience the same to other games. An absolute great game!… Expand

    The Last of Us 2 is like if there were a sequel to Casablanca and it was ten hours longer the original and mostly about whatever Gary Busey's character was up to during the war.

    Awesome game, for those who hasn't play yet but giving a bad review, just play it man, it is beautiful with a very different story thab the other games out there, i know its hurt but this game deserve a try...post apocalyptic era has so many unpredictable moments and tlou 2 captured very well..i love you naughty dogs

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game was an amazing experience from start to finish. I felt a range of emotions as I journeyed across the game. Those who are confused or dislike the story have their own opinion but I am so glad to see others understand the complex story that Naughty Dog has presented with this game. If you don’t care about the story, the game has other attributes that make it an outstanding masterpiece. For instance, updated graphics, gameplay mechanics and a whole sort of new additives that come in many more forms that you will find as you play. I wanted to say that I played the original game and fell in love with the world and the characters and it’s this love that I have for the game that helped me to get past the spoilers and the hateful comments to that went against it after the leak. And I was so happy that I chose to play the game despite the leak because the leaks no not show or depict the game in full. Lastly, I would also like to mention that it takes an open mind coming into this game like it does for most things in life but it truly does reward you for your open mindedness by delivering a thoughtful and well written paralleled story. Abby is justified in her actions, Joel is justified in his and so is Ellie in the end with hers. Everyone has two sides to them, a good side and a bad one. No one is perfect. Except, this game... this game is perfect. GO PLAY IT !!!!… Expand

    This game getting review bombed is the reason why its good that professional game journalists exist. Play it and make your own opinion before hating it. Maybe the game isn't for you and you dislike the story. That's fine. But respect that people have different opinions. I am a huge fan of the first game and I still think that The Last of Us Part II is one of the best games ever made.

    В какой-то момент мне показалась игра затянута (в геймплейном плане), скорее всего это от того что мне пришлось проходить игру в 3 дня- несколькими большими заходами. И просто физически уставал играть, но после отдыха все вновь играется отлично)

    Вопрос люди которые тут ноют про первую часть, вы чё, хотите поиграть еще раз в первую часть? Пере пройдите тогда, зачем нам две одинаковых игры, что за бред. Игры про разное и вызывают разные эмоции ( у некоторых полыхание в жопе).

    Игра смориться шикарно, честно устал делать скрины. Есть вопросы к качеству некоторых ассетов, есть не совсем очевидные геймдизанерские решения, но это я так )

The Last of us parte 2... el juego que muchos como yo estuvo esperando por años... tras tanta espera está aquí, al parecer Ellie vive muy bien pero debe de abandonar su pueblo luego controlamos a una mujer que ni sabemos quien es la cual Joel salva , la mujer los lleva a una cabaña y mata a Joel , llega Ellie y Ellie mira como lo matan... eso no me gustó, supongo que a nadie, pero debía pasar en algún momento para que Ellie madure, pero pasó en un momento malo, siento que tuvimos que haber tenido más interacción con Joel para encariñarnos más con el y que su muerte nos haga generar más odio para matar a a la mujer, cosa que no pasó, obvio que tuvimos odio hacia ella, y queríamos continuar la historia pero no me atrapó, el hecho de que Ellie sea lesbiana no tienen nada malo, pero si relación con diñase muy incómoda, como que doña hizo a Ellie lesbiana y aparte Dina está embarazada y esto a Ellie le vale verga y lo hace más incómodo ni siquiera he terminado el juego y llevo como dos días sin jugarlo porque no me atrapa, la la historia le doy un 8 y al gameplay un 19 sin dud, matar a un enemigo o infectado se siente muy bien al hacerlo cuerpo a cuerpo la implementación de esquivar se me hizo algo fabuloso ya que así puedes evitar ataques… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. TLOU2 visually and cinematically is a masterpiece and unfortunately that's about as far as it goes in the end.

    The gameplay is well honestly it didn't do much to change or enhance what was already present from the first game in any meaningful way. Sure its smooth, can be fun and of course well done for what it is but that was to be expected I would think.

    This game franchise from day one for me has always been about the story.

    Unfortunately I found this story to be very poorly paced and delivered the big moments in a way that even though you want to sympathize with the characters involved you just can't because the new characters didn't get the same treatment and ND storytelling magic (That use used to be known for) that Joel, Tommy and Sarah got in the first game where in the first 20 minutes you went through so many emotions and it left you crying like a baby before the game actually even starts. Because of that and the fact that the big moment happens so quickly you have almost no time to build a true emotional bond with the new characters and all you can do is hate them and every action the game forces you to take there after all the way up to the end where the payoff is nil of any meaning to all that came before. It's not a good or unique revenge story in the end if anything it pushes the revenge to long and too hard for the ending to be what it was. It's not even unique to a world where half the population are now fungus zombies and saddest of all they take a backseat to the entire story of this game and might as well not even exist.    … Expand

    technical marvel. The visuals are stunning, the soundscape and voice acting is incredible. The gameplay is passable (as to be expected of a story based game) and is very similar to TLOU. However, the big problem with this game is the story. Not a single character in this entire story is likeable (except maybe Lev), which is a big problem if you’re spending 30 hours with them. The deaths are weak and unsatisfying, with the majority of characters (such as Joel, who’s death was executed terribly) being given a mediocre send off done for shock value and easy plot development. The plot itself is incredibly generic, with the barely explored theme of “revenge is bad” being beaten into you with the complexity and subtlety of a baseball bat. Throw in having to play as Abby (who they desperately try to make sympathetic despite brutally beating Joel to death TEN HOURS of gameplay before) for 12 hours, and a good chunk of the game simply isn’t fun. And of course, we can’t forget about the atrocious ending. After sacrificing everything and killing hundreds of innocent people, Ellie ends up letting Abby get away, leaving us thinking, “that’s it?” Overall, the game story is just like the ending, an unsatisfying waste of enormous potential.    … Expand

    El juego es sencillamente espectacular, quienes esperen que joel y ellie sean superhéroes simplemente asuman que no lo son, son humanos con sus virtudes y defectos, con sus complejidades en sus personalidades. La historia diría que es 9 de 10 pero el apartado audiovisual y de jugabilididad son sin duda 10 de 10

But the story and the way game serves the story is below expectations. First you kill the main character of the first game, then at the very important part of the game you put a 6-10 hours long flashbacks. It gets boring after a short amount of time.

    Finally flashbacks are over. We're moving forward. Ellie makes a desicion that makes no sense and goes after Abby. Finds and tries to kill her with a knife when she is very weak already. At the very end she changes her mind and let Abby go. So why did she made this desicion from the start? It doesn't make sense.

    If this was not a Last of Us game, I still wouldn't like the story. Basically there is an originally 30 minutes long story but they serve you this story for 20 hours by mashing it up with wonderful graphics and gameplay.    … Expand

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
