    I am so glad that this game only on PS4 which is I don't have. this game made me rethink my choice to buy ps4. or even ps5.

    Watched streams on twitch, no emotional attachment to any new characters at all, the characters are boring and forced. Why would the player control a boring character half of the game and the plot doesn’t make any sense.

    Will buy 2nd hand game disc for this when everyone turn in at game stores and kill Abby to ease my mind when I control her.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So, I went into this expecting a ton of SJW nonsense. Thankfully, there wasn't much of that. Abby looks like Brock Lesnar, sure, but there wasn't anything shoved down our throats like I was expecting.

    The story is just bad. I don't give 2 balls about Lev or Lara or whatever her name is. I didn't hate playing as Abby as much as I thought I would, but she was still **** boring compared to bae Ellie. In the end, after like 20 hours, we don't even get to murk Abby, we let her go.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I tried really hard to like this game, from the combat, the gameplay mechanics, even to the plot. However I found myself disliking the game, the more I played of it, from the death of Joel, to having to play as his killer and forced to sympathize with her character through some of her missions, and the ending of Ellie not even being able to commit to how far you have to take her character. It’s not good, the first few hours before Joel does, that was good, that felt like maybe Joel and Ellie would find a way to resolve their conflict. I get that what was done in the first games ending, had to have some resolution of its own, but doing it this way was not the way to go for me.
    I honestly feel like, this game lost its sense of joy in its dark world. I loved playing as Joel and Ellie in the first game, even how the characters developed. With the sequel, I just can’t get with the narrative and the ending just feels like a slap in the face to the whole adventure. Gameplay wise, I think mechanics could have been upgraded from what was done before, yet I feel like a lot of politics and hypocrisy are also to blame for what became of this game. So many people in industry want to praise this game instead of look at its flaws, and this game has some flaws in both narrative and gameplay. Graphics and animation are great, but they do not save a game if the story isn’t great with it. The character of Abbey that you play as, I hated having to play with her, it wasn’t even just her torturing Joel, it was her character as a whole. I’ll be honest, when this games trailers originally introduced back in 2016, I thought she was Ellie’s mother and that they would explain don what happened to her and how Ellie became immune to begin with. I played Left Behind, I know the story, but that would have been a great way to go and having Ellie and Joel go on an adventure that meshed the two storylines together where they meet in different time periods. The whole cult idea could still be utilized, but I think the game shouldn’t forget about its zombie roots either. I’m sad to see a promising series go this route, and really hope that if something like this is attempted again, that the characters you play as well as the story, aren’t so misguided and without life.    … Expand

Wszystko co zbudowała Jedynka, Dwójka niszczy doszczętnie i jeszcze robi z graczy idiotów. Joel, który w jedynce był super nieufnym badassem, tutaj bez zawahania zaufał grupce nieznajomych i jeszcze przedstawił się swoim imieniem. I mean... Okay? Nie będę mówił nawet o Lady Fridge, którą grasz przez 8-10h i większość tego czasu śpisz, bo jest to tak nieciekawe jak skurczysyn.… Expand

I don't understand why people think there was plot holes everywhere and the backstory for Abby wasn't enough, I felt for her and I understood so much by getting to play as her, at first I wasn't so happy because this girl killed Joel! but in the end I understood why they did it.
    The ending made so much sense, the game took such a crazy turn that I didn't expect at all. but in the end it broke my heart. But i'm so happy I got to play it and feel such strong emotions from a game. It had the same mechanics as the first game which I loved, and the character development from Ellie at the end of the game was outstanding. I was on the edge of my seat playing this game and just wondering how it was going to end. I truly am so satisfied with this game. In my opinion, this game was a masterpiece.    … Expand

    The way the world and story hook you from beginning to end is exhilarating! It literally made me feel like I was living, breathing, and killing inside the world of The Last Of Us. The story, although surprising and completely unexpected, has left me in awe. It truly leaves an impression. The new characters that we are introduced to add an extra level of depth to Joel & Ellie’s relationship and how that relationship is affected by the world they currently find themselves in, that really make you appreciate them ever the more. It is truly a masterpiece. The gameplay has left me constantly wanting more yet feeling guilty and with remorse for my enemies. It was an overwhelming yet satisfying fight for survival around every corner. You are doing yourself a disservice by not experiencing the feelings and emotions that this game can provide. It is truly Naughty Dogs best take at the 3rd person shooter style of gameplay since, well since Crash Bandicoot. Take that as you will. Overall, The Last Of Us Part 2 has met and even surpassed my expectations. Although I did experience a few minor graphical pop ins and the friendly AI did get in my way once or twice, it just wasn’t enough to dampen the immersion and the experiences I was having with the game. I highly recommend this game to anyone who was a fan of how raw and real the first game was. You will definitely fall in love with this one immediately & amazingly enough, it will make you fall in love with the first game even more than before.

    The Last Of Us Part 2 gets a 10/10.

    Not as bad as people were making it out to be. The gameplay can be somewhat repetitive, but was fun and satisfying enough to keep me engaged. The story falls to having many detrimental flaws that drag it down to a very low status. Visuals are stunning and when combined with the amazing sound design, an engulfing atmosphere was created and immersed me fully within the brutal setting.

    I can essentially sum up this frustrating narrative in three segments.
    First 10 Hours: Here is a revenge story! Pretty cut and dry. You hate these people and you're gonna make them pay for it!
    Next 10 Hours: Congrats, you took your revenge, and now we're gonna spend a hell of a lot of unnecessary time trying to make you feel bad for it. So let's stop the plot and go on a long sidequest of attempted retrospective character development!
    Last 5 Hours: Let's try to reconstruct this ending now that you're all caught up. Oh wait, you shouldn't be mad anymore? Also, Catalina ofcourse.

    I rate it a 10/10 for the environment, animation, etc.. basically the art dept. Story should've been handled very differently. Combat is fun...for a while. I'm honestly probably better off keeping TLOU ending as the only ending, and not going into this sequel. Leave it a that.    … Expand

At the end of the game you can’t even kill Abby (Joel’s killer). In conclusion if you just have 60 dollars laying around I’d say give it a shot.… Expand

    After checking the critics there's nothing but (wow such graphics) or (gj naughty dog you moved Gaming further then ever)
    you can find improved graphics better then this even in game like Fifa and CoD the come every year. honestly can find better art even in youtube or kids shows.

    you thing they would go for something deeper after what the first game wanted to show us
    in a normal situation it wouldn't be a 0 scored game, but expectations were high, and the fall is sadly higher.

What I need when I play a game is a satisfying story with a satisfying conclusion. The characters can be LGBT, POC, buffed machos, women, squirrels, bandicoots, whatever, it does not matter. What matters is a story. Especially for a STORY DRIVEN GAME. It's notIt's just ridiculous. We're used to top-notch graphics already, so for the game to have great graphics is not an advantage anymore. What I need when I play a game is a satisfying story with a satisfying conclusion. The characters can be LGBT, POC, buffed machos, women, squirrels, bandicoots, whatever, it does not matter. What matters is a story. Especially for a STORY DRIVEN GAME. It's not like Skyrim, where you can spend weeks just wandering around. Just imagine, if in Witcher 3 they killed Geralt after the intro and told you to play as Ciri through the first half of the game, as Eredin for the other half, and in the end, you didn't even kill Eredin.     The main problem with this game I have with the character's development and storytelling. In a few words - in during game I don't like about the main characters and second characters. I don't buy them. They are repulsive and boring. The main idea which stays behind this story is good, but implementation looks like that junior team did it.

    The poor story shows the poor game loop. At the end of the game, I was done - I didn't want more because I was bored.

    Few words to Neil Druckmann - if you don't care about gamers' opinions and you rejected all of them - because - "I DON"T CARE" - okay. In the future, I won't buy any games from Naughty Dog anymore.    … Expand

    They killed Joel, okey, it must be something great, cause they killed main character, beloved character. Why did they kill him? Because he killed doctor who could save world, but he wanted killed Elly... and if we remember end of the 1 part, she didn’t ask her about saving the world, ok she was little girl, Joel big man and did this for her.

    Ebby. I didn’t sympathized with her, she is ugly, she could not choose between love and war. What was her motivation to kill tommy, Joel( Joel ,ok, he killed her father, but her father without sin.) Tommy killed her boyfriend? They weren’t in relationships, so... Why did she attach to scars? She murdered them. They saved her life, hmm... I hate this character, because she killed Joel, fu.. Joel.

The only 2 positives things about this game are graphics and gunplay. But did we all love TLoU 1 because of these things? - No. We loved it because of it's story and characters. And both of these thing in TLoU 2 are absolute awful from many points. What an absolute amazing way to write your story by killing the face of the series at the very start of the game, the main reason why we love TloU. And not only that, but he was killed like a side character, like everything we've been through with this character meant nothing. What a waste of potential, what an act of disrespect towards your fan base. Not to mention, that Naughty Dogs literally scammed me and other players. They replaced Joel in some parts of the game(where he is supposed to be based on the promotion trailer) by a random guy, called "Jessie", for example. Yeah, how can you make a promotion trailer without Joel, right? And I find it quite simbolic and funny, that the guy, who spat on the Joel's corpse looks exactly like Neil Druckmann. This man literally spat on such great character, which Joel is and on us, fans of this game. That's exactly like I felt. But it wasn't the end of the suffering. How retarded must you be to force your players to play half of this **** game a character, who killed the character we all loved? To force us, players, to attack Ellie? Did you really think it would be fun or any interesting? Are you **** dumb? What an amazing game design decision. Applause. But the most retarded thing is, that people who don't like the game are branded as homophobes or just immoral human beings. You are the one forcing this LGBT values on to me and you are calling me immoral? Obviosly, to show lesbian sex was much more important than to write a decent story and to kill the face of the story the way he deserved. And the ending of the game... Don't get me wrong the first 2 ish hours were awsome then the "scene" happened and it destroyed the game. The original last of us was a succes because you cared about the characters, in this game i didn't care about anyone. It was no chemistry between them and if one died so what. Like i cared about bill in the first one he was funny and had a personality. All that gameplay for the worst possible ending, don't know who pitched this idea of how the story should be but damn it really sucks that you made something this bad from something that was so great to begin with. I understand that it's hard to live up to the expectations but you just went all in and didn't think twice about it. And the whole thing with making people think it's gonna be a journey with joel and ellie because of the trailer where he still was very much alive and asking if she she really are gonna go through with this was very misleading. Well you can always hope you make something good with the multiplayer i guess You had a game who were well known for the story you made another one well known for the story but not for a good reason, waited 7 years for this.     A beautifully tough game to complete due to all the emotions that are involved with it. A brilliant storyline, showing us exactly what ND said when he says “No one is the hero.” The two playable characters are on a vengeance for what they believe is right. The graphics and new mechanics are unbelievable. Definitely one of the best games I’ve played. 10/10

The game itself is not a bad game at all, stunning visuals, fun combat (some agree, some not), and duo perspective of both characters is a great idea (but not in a sequel that everyone has been waiting to see what Joel and Ellie next journey. What i hate about this game is the commercials, the content of the ads were lying to everyone's faces that made us think Joel plays a major part of the story, and Dina was the reason for revenge (on the last commercial they posted up a few days before released). Not sure if i can ever trust Naughty Dog again, and i am not excited for a part 3 at all. Part 1 is my favorite, the story was simple and straightforward but very touching. Part 2, you made it too complicated and not everyone is buying it.… Expand

    I loved the gameplay, locations, graphics, the new clickers beautiful *chefs kiss*

    But the plot... Honestly up until I was forced to try to kill Ellie while playing as Abby I was completely on board with the plot. In a universe where it's impossible to define good/evil characters as it's a morally grey universe it's clear they tried to show Abby as a hero and Ellie as a villain because she held onto her grief and expected us to forget how Abby brutally tortured and murdered Joel like that. There is a clear plot hole from the first game where Marlene reveals they have experimented on other immune patients and all died without creating a vaccine this totally could have been a possibility for Ellie. It took a while for me to warm up to playing as Abby but by the end of Seattle day 2 I grew to like her , however I feel betrayed that we were advertised a different game. As we play through half the game as Abby it is ridiculous we weren't told that this would happen it caught a lot of people of guard and put them off .
    Lastly we should have been given a choice as to if we wanted to give up Dina and JJ and go after Abby (and kill her ) or to stay with Dina and try to work through Ellie's trauma with her help. I understand the message was revenge is not the right thing to do but it was conveyed in the worst way.    … Expand

    An absolute rollercoaster of emotions and anxiety. You literally feel immersed into the characters and their lives / roles inside the incredible & beautiful environments. I believe it to be a masterpiece of a sequel, and the immense detail and design put into the game is phenomenal. 10/10

I loved the first part and I've enjoyed every single moment. Part 2 came out...I was very disappointed because of the story like everybody else. I was expecting to play more with Ellie and I was ok with killing Joel, but not in the first hour of gameplay.

    I am not the typical gamer when it comes to zombie games. In the first game I knew I had to face my fears and kill zombies just to see what happens with those 2, now I played the second part just to see if I will be playing again with Ellie, waiting for Abby part to finish. I did not enjoy it as much as I did with the first part.

    Graphics and game mechanics awesome, but the story.....very bad written and the placement of those flashbacks is just bad. You kept me the entire game just to tell me that Ellie's last words to Joel were not - Leave me alone!    … Expand

    Anything else thats not mentioned above is pure disappointment. It would been better they never made the part 2. Go watch some Let’s Play on youtube to save yourself wasting time playing the story and your earth dollars that could’ve been spent on better games or even waste it in gambling is fine.
