    Game story is terrible, the graphics and animations are very good, but they are not worth it in the end. I feel like this entire franchise has been ruined by this release, also I feel like Naughty Dog falsely advertised what the story is going to about, that's why I'm giving it a 0.

    Sure the visuals are great, but the levels are so much larger (good thing), but then so much wasted space and you spend a lot of time wondering around with not a lot to do. What I    Okay this is not the worst game of all time. It is clear a lot of work has gone into the game.

    What I liked: The visuals on this game are amazing, while good for myself the animations are out of sync.
    I did not like the gameplay controls, but a future patch could address the bugs.

    So far have only made it to around 8 hours of gameplay, before listing it on facebook to sell, as I could not get a refund. Too early to comment on the story, so far it wasn't bad, just meh.

    Ultimately it was the over realistic violence and boredom that led to this review.
    This title will appeal to many people, just not me. Very very disappointing.    … Expand

    Waste of time. The storytelling is bad, the new characters are extremely poorly developed, and the old characters get treated like sh*t and their personality is changed in a way that makes no sense.

    This game really shoudn’t be out. The story is about a revenge and even if this subject is easy, they messed up. We were lied about the story, the trailers were a manipulation. I wasted 250zł ~ 60$ on this game. Everyone wanted a story with Joel and Ellie but we got a story about Ellie’s revenge. They made Ellie look like a bad character (killed dog and ofc she killed pregnant woman) but the main villan was showed like a hero (fe. helped kids, play with a dog etc.). And the ending, oh god, it’s basically awful. Don’t get me wrong because i support LGBTQ+ community but I don’t know if it’s Sony’s LGBTQ+ politics but the amout of putting gay, trans etc. things is really unnecesary. They tries to make a good game but it turns out it was ****    … Expand

    Environments and level design are top notch Animations are very well done Gameplay is okay, not the most fantastic thing I've ever played but it functions and does it's job

    However, I cannot rightfully recommend this game to anyone who enjoyed the first or was expecting a good story here. Some extremely poor decisions were made with regards to the direction this story goes in, well loved characters have been completely butchered (literally even) and all their personality has been ripped away. The new characters this game introduces are boring, bland and have absolutely none of the chemistry that Joel and Ellie shared in the first game. The script is poorly written and the protagonists seemingly make the most asinine decisions I've ever witnessed that are completely out of character. The plot has been reduced to a petty revenge story that has absolutely none of the gravitas or emotional weight that the first one carried

    The pacing is all over the place and made the game a slog to complete. To conclude; please do not buy this game if you have any love for The Last of Us as a franchise, I personally feel utterly betrayed and insulted by what it has turned into and I doubt I'm the only one with this opinion, this is is certainly the last Naughty Dog game I will ever play    … Expand

    Fantastic gameplay, great story!! Very emotional... and makes you see that life isn’t about heroes and villains, but humans with strengths and flaws. I read some spoilers before end the game, but to play it and see with my own eyes how those events developed, made all the difference...     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The last of us była grą na którą czekałem od jej zapowiedzi. Jedynka była wspaniała i miałem nadzieję że dwójka przebije poprzedniczkę :). Jednak tak się nie stało. Fabuła jest dla mnie nielogiczną i słabo napisaną historią. Myślałem, że znów zobaczę moją ulubioną dwójkę bohaterów z jedynki, którzy znów stawią czoła brutalności i niebezpieczeństwa otaczającego ich świata oraz że ich relacja jeszcze bardziej się rozwinie niż w pierwszej części. Cóż nie tego oczekiwałem jak dla mnie to ta gra ma najgorsza fabułę, która nie trzyma się kupy i przez to bardzo słabo odzwierciedla realia rzeczywistości w której żyją bohaterowie ale to nie to mnie najbardziej zdenerwowało. Przyczyną tego jest całkowita zmiana zachowania jak i sposobu myślenia bohaterów np: Joela jak to możliwe że z takim zachowaniem z dwójki jeszcze żył w tym piekle jakim była apokalipsa? W jedynce był cholernie ostrożny co przekonywało mnie do niego i do otaczającego go świata. A podobno przed premierą mieliśmy z nim spędzić większą część czasu w grze, a oni go ot tak w bardzo głupi sposób zabijają a nawet katują tylko po to by Elli miała prosty pretekst do zemsty a i tak na końcu jej niedopełnia? Przepraszam ale fabuła w tej grze to jakaś szopka jest. Co z tego że grafika i animacje są super ale i tak nie są doskonałe lepsze widziałem w RDR2 i to jest powód dawania przez recenzentów 10 na 10. To na co oni zwracali uwagę w tej grze, że według nich jest grą doskonałą? Niemającą żadnych niedociągnięć? Dla mnie fabuła w takich grach jest właśnie najważniejsza nawet kosztem grafiki. Właśnie w taki sposób rozkoszowałem się jej pierwsza częścią. Niestety całkowicie się tą grą przeliczyłem dałbym 5 ale za to jak obrzucili mnie twórcy gównem jest o jeden punkt mnie… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Even a Score of 90 Points must be a game who is perfect for everyone who like rpg shooters and equals or surpass in every aspect other games with this score. But "TLOU2" is not such a game.

    The grafics, the sound are okey, its a nice 85, but the gameplaymechanics are mostly the same as TLOU Part1, some are buffed, but not all. So it cant rise to a 90. But the gameplay is still fun and it works, so its a good 80 score but not a 90 or even a 95+.

    But than comes the sequel problem. It don't honor the first game with its story. It try to be diffrent but diffrent equals not useful. For me the story don't pull the right strings. The death of joel feels like a betrail, like Starwars 8, where luke throw away the lightsaber. The developer, who was in charge of the story, betrails me, i don't want such a boring death for this beloved character. And the worst part, its not even logical. Beause he was a lone wolf with cup, he never would do this action that cause his death.

    Next problem is the story itselfe. Its a boring story of revange. It would be far more better, if abby capture and torture joel. That you have multible endings like. All die, joel die, allie die and joel life, abby die or all will find a way to life with each other. Even the character abby would be fare more explainable with "i do this because i lost my father and have thîs **** happened to me".

    Conclusion... a nice game with 85 after all. But the story and the outdated mechanics cost 10 points, 5 points for not honor the fans who where betraied. Its a nice 70 game. Not more not les. Because a game with 95+ need to be memorable for decades. Even after the first mass effect i know who is shepard, who is tahli and liara. I remember joel and ellie... but abby. i will forget in weeks.

    In the end, not a bad game, but not a masterpiece. Like a witcher 3 or an masseffect.    … Expand

    The plot is so bad, characters are so unlikable. I am not against woke agenda, it's fine, but don't sacrifice a good plot for this, make feminist characters likable, the ending is bad. The game is a failure. I just don't want this trend to continue in games, so 0 is pretty much a good score to express it.

    No entiendo la nota de los "expertos". Se supone que deben valorar el juego teniendo en cuenta que es la secuela de un juego que por cierto es excelente. Lamentablemente de excelente su secuela tiene poco, historia pesima y final decepcionante.

    Recién terminando. Obra maestra que va dejar mucho de que hablar. No se compara con el primero porque son historias totalmente diferente en el desarrollo. La polémica que esta causando es el claro ejemplo. Esperamos la parte tres para cerrar la historia de ellie salvando a la humanidad.

As a beloved fan of tlou 1,the tlou 2 story telling is absolutely garbage compared to tlou 1,After joel daughter got merciless killed by a military solider who was suppose to protect them,joel would trust a stranger going to their holdout base like it is a thanksgiving dinner,then got killed by a feminist character with a goal club,of all the enemies and dire situations joel had survived in tlou 1 ,joel got killed by a goal club within the first three hours of the game , what is the meaning of joel death not to trust random stranger right,isn't this how joel daughter got killed and how firefly almost kill ellie because joel think firefly wouldn't sacrifice a life just to save humanity , joel death is an insult to tlou 1 and its fans. ………….The most infuriating of all is the game force you play as abby to fight ellie in a boss fight,After abby kill joel,you get to hurt ellie the character you care and trying desperately to protect like your real daughter ,the character that also give joel the last hope to live and survive after tess and sarah death ,after all the journey we been through in tlou 1,l don't know why anyone would find it satisfy and angry to hurt ellie even we watch abby tragic story,remember there are no choices in this game,you cannot evade or escape the fight,l couldn't imagine myself or anyone finishing that part of chapter and l don't know why someone would give this a 10/10,it is like they have forgotten the existence of tlou 1 and the bond we share between joel and ellie.… Expand

    the most compelling Graphics, Realistic animations, thrilling moves, compounded in a complete **** this really broke my heart. the way i see it, the only ones who actually can enjoy this game are the ones who never played the first part . How disappointing !

    My scores:

    Gameplay 3/10, added some new features which made the game feel too easy, that challenging factor we had in the first game seems is not one in the LOU2. In addition to this the game is ridiculed with bugs.

    Graphics 7/10 i'd give it more but the face tracking in some scenes is very off.

    Locations 8/10

    Storyline 1/10 Extremely disappointing, instead on focusing on a good sequel to the first game they opted to brush it off and push a SJW agenda which just did not belong in this sequel and a huge stab in the back to the majority of their fanbase. There are various examples of this if you look at Naughty Dog's recent games, in the LOU2 for example we have an extremely female dominated cast. They seem to have some hatred towards men.

    The graphics and setting were a solid 8. Everything else was complete and total garbage. I have read off-brand dystopian teen-romance novels that hold a plot together more cohesively. I made a Metacritic account solely for the purpose of expressing how disappointing this game is after the previous one.

First two hours in game : Joël, the gruff character who opened up to a teenager he slowly considered to be his daughter, forming an incredible bond of love and care, dies. In the most stupid way possible. He used to be careful about everything to survive, no matter how immoral it could be, but somehow he gives his identity to his murderer after slaughtering humanity's last hope of a vaccine. Simply idiotic and inconsistent.

    So the story is resumed to a vengeance trope (because who would want to witness an interesting, gut-wrenching and beautiful story in a TLOU game?) against an uninteresting villain we are supposed to relate through brutal scenes. But that's it. There is nothing more being developed. At no point the director's promises are respected : no questioning redemption nor forgiveness, you just drag some characters to the next cutscene where someone gets butchered. No control or decision on actions, the player means nothing. So how are we supposed to think about redemption or forgiveness if none of our actions actually matter ?

    The best decision to take is actually not to buy the game. Because, unfortunately, fake positive reviews from companies glorify this joke and will still convince some people to give it money.    … Expand
