LIKE ARE U SERIOUS!!!! like this is just pathetic its like they were trying to kill their own game with their own hands and they had a chance to fix this mess in the farm scene when u return to the moment joel was being tortured they could hv made everything like a dream but no they just had to ruin the incredible franchise and if they do a part 3 with no joel in it no 1 will buy it bec this game cant be called the last of us with no joel in it , part 2 should hv been about the last 4 years after the hospital scene only and see how ellie and joel relationship develop and ellie slowly starts to discover the truth and end it with that scene when she told joel we r done and walks away now that would be a great cliffhanger for part 3 and make part 3 about this revenge or whatever u were trying to do and dont kill joel this way make him die protecting ellie like literally when he fell on that iron pipe in the last of us 1 that would hv been a better death than this so this shows how bad this death is for such a big and lovable character to all fans Expand

Ok so I'll start off with the good things it's beautiful , a very clean looking game, little games with the guitar and the snowball fights were fun, but I thk the best thing about this game was the flashbacks and if could guess why it's bc Joel and Ellie were together they had the bond with each other that's what I thk is the best part of it all. Now 2 the bad things Joel's death and I would have been ok with him dying but not like that they could have made a build up let u play as Ellie and Abby through the game without Joel dying but then at the end Abby kills Joel and then u hate Abby even after playing as her but u still had time with Joel before he died . But they kill joel like 2 hrs in and they make u play as Abby 4 10-12 hrs, yeah great move on them. They don't give anything new except 4 going prone. Everything bad happens 2 Ellie but Abby has everything compared 2 Ellie. Abby even gets better guns. And they try 2 make u sympathize 4 her and make u like her when her and her whole crew are boring af. Ellie lost everything by the end and u don't even get a choice 2 kill Abby. They put an unnecessary sex scene, and they r somehow aloud 2 put **** on the game when no other game can have a butt cheek out. The game is poorly paced and is so repetitive and boring. If I remember correctly I thk only 1 chick died and it was the pregnant 1, and she goes on missions with u with a baby, she's climbing things with a baby how dumb is that. Their is nothing 2 keep u motivated besides killing Abby in the end but u don't get 2 so yeah. The whole reason why You 1 was so good was bc of Why couldn't they at least gave us a choice, but now their gonna milk the series and im not getting the last of us or 3. This games story is predictable, poorly written and not believable in the slightest. U can hate me all u want but I don't give **** what u thk it's my opinion and 80% of everyone elses. Game mechanics got a deluxe upgrade from the first game while keeping the same uncomfortable and brutal feel throughout. It's never felt so good to shoot or hack and slash. The game challenges you, rewards you, nurtures you and tears you a part. The open word-esque map layouts were killer and extremely immersive. So many creative mechanics and cannot reccomend more. details are available to the players delight.

    I mean she KILLED Joel!
How do you make the player like her? Bring more and more backstory before she does that. Let the players play 2-10h as Abby when she was a child or whatever. The backstory of her is basically told in 10minutes and then her dad is being killed. Thats it? And now I have to feel with her and understand why she killed Joel?
    Hell no!
That is weak story telling. Really really weak.

Then there are all the other new characters. Nobody is likeable. Like really. They all feel empty. They are only shells without any meaning.

The combat in the game is so well done. The enemies have names, friends that call out, dogs that stay at their corpse until you come near, it’s unlike any other. Every shot counts, and the accessibility options are perfect in every way. Now here comes the plot. The plot and story is well executed.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is a long criticism of the story and why I gave it a 0. If you're truly invested, then read it. **The Phantom Pain**

By now, we all know and understand why Abby does what she does. Her father was killed by Joel, and that lead her to seek revenge. It seems good on paper, but is done terribly. She endures incredible training and pain to become what she is, in her path to seek revenge. The problem is, that the player doesn't like or have a connection with her father. Abby's father is described by the game as a bit of a fanatic, willing to murder a child to obtain a cure that the Fireflies probably don't even have the proper resources to manufacture. His appearances are also minimum, used to set up Abby's backstory instead of her motivation. Instead of building up a relationship and reason for what Abby did, the game simply tries to tell us how Joel wronged Abby and she was right to kill him. Abby just doesn't feel solid. You don't just want the story to make sense in the context of the world, you want the audience to have a reason to care about what happens onscreen, instead of using their imagination **An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind, but not for me. Only thee**

Naughty Dog has crafted a theme that they hold tall amid all the criticism, but it doesn't hold true for every character. A fine example of this can be attributed to Ellie and Abby. Abby's actions are sometimes completely unjustified, with her slaughtering WLF soldiers, as they look in shock of her murdering them, people that she's shared meals and long, harsh years with, yet she has no remorse for killing them. Her friends don't carry much weight to the theme of revenge either, being so poorly built up that you could have Ellie kill a strawmen and the story would still continue. Owen is the only outlier, but his role is more akin to that of a love interest in a teenage romance story, being the ignored lover and naughtily sneaking away with our main character to do some stuff. He doesn't have much character development. We aren't given much to care about, and Ellie's actions have little emotional impact on us. As far as we see, Ellie is just avenging her father figure. Nothing too bad. But the ending breaks down Ellie's actions and props up Abby. Imagine a faceless cowboy versus a gunslinger that you know an incredible amount of, and only ever does things out of necessity. You would automatically root for the gunslinger, right? There is a reason that villains are always less detailed than the hero, they're just a punching bag. But ND has messed up, trying to create an incredibly complex character that we don't have connections to and isn't forced to make hard choices, as opposed to one that's a product of their environment. It's why Abby feels like she should be the villain, and Ellie the one forged from steel

**If it wasn't for double standards, **** would have none at all** Drukmann is mentally unstable, being concerned with creating art in his own perfect vision, while not understanding the human perspective. On the one hand, Abby trained for years to murder a man she never met, having endured so much just to face off with a faceless figure. She's full of hate and anger that is completely undirected, and takes something precious away from us, the player. She takes away Joel. Then we want to see consequences for her, but then Drukmann doesn't understand the concept of revenge clearly enough. We viewed Joel the same way as Ellie, and we understand how she feels. We want to get back at her for ripping Joel from the base of our heart. But Drukmann treats the player as a buffoon, destroying skyscrapers and pitching tents on top of them.

**A path down the memory lane a day keeps the story away**

The flashback sequences were nice, but completely out of place and unneeded. Sure, we loved Joel's and Ellie's relationship, but Naughty Dog had already tore it down at the start. To me, that didn't matter, since one half of the memories were dead. They didn't represent a message or anything for Ellie either. They were entirely for us, the player, and it felt out of place within the story. It broke the pacing and felt like an incredibly disconnected scene that could've been in a different game, or a DLC. It was a quite and serene time, that had no place in this cruel and ugly world. They could've utilized it to help introduce the theme of forgiveness, and lighten the load of a tsunami-like message on the ending. But they didnt. And that's my honest criticism of the story. Some may say that it was art, but when you actually try to look at the story, you can see. Abby is what ND intends to be Joel, but she's doesn't make the tough choices and was fueled entirely by her hatred instead of only doing what was needed to survive. Lev barely got any character development and he/she (it?) felt like a tool for Abby to compensate for her lack of humanity. He's the only one she ever shows emotion towards and bonds with

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Finally- A sequel that lives up to its hype.

Fans have been waiting for a sequel to Naughty Dog's poignant story about two people's quest for survival for quite some time now. The Last of Us received massive critical acclaim and won several awards for its story and gameplay.
To many (myself included) it felt like a standalone masterpiece since it was wrapped up so neatly. Lots of people disliked the idea of a sequel to this game and with good reason- sequels are often huge letdowns simply because they get crushed under the heavy expectations on top of them. But this game not only lives up to its predecessor but also outperforms it.

The Last of Us 2 starts with a major character death that immediately raises the tension. Playing a game in which major characters are killed off like flies creates a sense of apprehension throughout it. This, along with the vibe of the cutthroat world Ellie is living in, creates a bleak and anxious atmosphere that keeps you on your toes the whole time.
Right after the death, the game takes us down on a path of vengeance. Ellie's character development is complex and we slowly start seeing a different Ellie- a much darker and violent Ellie who stops at nothing to get revenge.
Enter Abby. She is first introduced to players in a way that- let's just say won't make her very appealing Then we get to play her character and it's essentially the same story in the same city but with a different perspective. Her character arch is much more complex than Ellie's. Almost all the actions committed during Ellie's arch are "revisited" through Abby and that's one of the ways TLOU really screws with your mind. So much so, that towards the end you might just find yourself rooting for Abby instead of the girl we've known since Part 1. The game gives us a complex commentary on the cycles of violence and vengeance through two opposing perspectives.

The gameplay itself has evolved considerably since the Last of Us 1. New elements such as the rope and dogs spice up interactions. When played in hard mode, the game gives you just enough resources to get by and so you are left with the task of being the architect of the encounters. All the encounters feel smooth and Naughty Dog has gone out of its way to add nuance to everything- every NPC is given a name which adds a layer of complexity to what is essentially a "to-kill"
character. Encounters are challenging and rewarding. The graphics are extremely beautiful and careful observation reveals the amount of detail invested into making the environment.

The things that disappoint in the game are parts of the beginning. The reason I did not give this a 10 is that the start makes no sense. We open the story in a utopia inside a dystopia. Suddenly a main character dies? Suddenly we're in Seattle to kill those responsible? And an almost teenage girl agrees to company her girlfriend on a deathwish mission? It was very tough to get on board with the story in the beginning. The story could have started much better. Explaining the intricacies of Joel and Ellie's story through flashbacks would have helped explain Ellie's decision. Spending some time in Jackson with Ellie and Dina might have helped get us acquainted with their relationship. So in my opinion, the story's chronology and depth could have been handled better in the beginning.

The story eventually picks up and immerses us into two psychologically-taxing and opposing perspectives. The flawless graphics and gameplay complement the story and pull us into an experience that's really an avant-garde work of art in the modern video game industry. Kudos to Naughty Dog for doing right by the Last of Us franchise!

I decided not to cancel my pre-order on the hope that they were false because of my attachment to the first game. It turns out that they are almost entirely true but over the course of the game I changed my mind. At times I absolutely hated it, I even considered giving up on it at a certain point during first quarter of the game (I think you can guess what this was), but I decided to let the story play out and I am so glad I did.

Gameplay was pretty good, not great by today’s standards, but good enough. The stealth was fantastic though it’s too easy unless you play on a hard difficulty and it's pretty much the same as the original with a few upgrades (not a horrible thing). Graphics and scenery are incredibly beautiful, it could be the most intricately crafted and beautiful game I have ever played.

Story was a roller coaster of emotional reactions...REAL emotions. When Ellie finds a guitar and sings the first time it shook me to the core. The story had a few plot holes and significantly unlikely "coincidences" but they didn't ruin the story as a whole. Many parts of this game were nearly torture to play especially the 1 on 1 fights but that was clearly intentional. It's certainly not the story that we as fans of the original wanted or expected but it works (I think??).

The ending (no spoilers) left a bad taste in my mouth, but I think that was the point. I was disappointed by the ending at the time but in retrospect it completes the story and finalizes the overall message of the plot.

This was one of the best and worst gaming experiences of my life.... I don’t think I will ever replay it because I don’t think I could get through it. That said it was a work of art, brilliant, risky as hell, brutally violent and morally ambiguous. If you left a negative review and didn’t finish or even play the game you suck.

The graphics were incredible and all of the technical elements for this game were executed in a beautiful way. The stealth gameplay was the best I have ever played and the combat never felt redundant and always kept me on my toes. The acting in this game is phenomenal and the dialogue always felt natural and realistic. While I may not have loved where the story went in this game sometimes, the writing was amazing. I never knew what was going to happen next. Playing as Abby was difficult at first because she killed Joel, a very beloved character, but they did a very good job at showing that every revenge story has two sides. While I still love Joel as a character and it broke my heart that he died, he did terrible things that make him the villain. A hero and a villain of any story are all about perspective and I like that they showed that here. I loved that the characters in this game felt like flawed human beings. During the fight scenes between Abby and Ellie, I found myself not wanting to hit the button in either fight. The ending may not have been a "happy" ending, I found that it showed that Ellie had regained her humanity and had come to terms with Joel's death so that she can move on. I definitely know that playing through this game in its entirety before reviewing it is essential. I do not think that you can just watch certain scenes and form a complete opinion. Part of me wanted to stop playing after Joel's death because it was so heartbreaking to me, but I'm glad that I didn't. Not every game can have a happy ending and I'm glad that this game was not just another version of the first game with slightly different story elements. I'm glad that this game did something different and I think that the people who worked on this game did an amazing job. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I’m not even sure how to begin my review. I figured Joel would die at some point in the game but not like he did. The game took all the best parts of the first game and burned them in our faces. Joel and Ellie’s relationship isn’t there because you killed Joel off. The story of the game is based on revenge but there is little to non in the whole game. You spend the first bit just tracking Tommy and what he’s doing wishing it was you on that rampage. You make us play over half the game as the one character we hate the most. The fact Abby lives at the end and Ellie lost just about everything she cared about is one of the worst endings in all of my gaming history. Nothing was resolved at the end and there was no satisfaction in anything that happened as either character other than beating the crap out of Abby. In my eyes the whole game was boring and drug out as crap. I played it once and I’m probably going to sell it. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I want to start by saying that I love the first Last of us and how good the story and gameplay was. The accomplishment of making a genre done to death interesting was particularly its greatest strength.

The second game carries over that amazing ability on its gameplay, the story? No not even close.
Keep in mind that when you play this game, you should come in with very low expectations. Right off from the bat in just the first hour, they kill off Joel and you set out to get revenge. Only when you reach the person that killed him(Abby) you start playing a flashback ALL the way before the events set up. The issue with this direction is that it kills the pacing and the tension is gone because a lot of the characters you see with her are people Ellie has already killed, so there is no reason to care about them that much. So when it reaches that point of the game you feel very bored. However the worst of that is the ending, Ellie kills so many people only for her to suddenly "stop" and not kill Abby. While I understand this is what they are going for, that does not mean it was executed properly. So the story is a bust in many ways from the pacing, to characters that aren't likable or interesting, to the plot points they never talk about.

Now the gameplay. Its very similar to the first last of us, while it does Improve a lot of visuals as well as kill animations. Its still the same as before albeit longer. This isn't bad necessarily but I wish they innovated a bit more. Overall my rating is a 4/10 for this game. Its not the worst I've ever played but its a huge disappointment

Originally I rated this game and 8/10, but after digesting the turn of events that I witnessed and also watching Angry Joe's review I have downgraded this game to a 7/10 as Angry Joe brings up a lot of good points on what is wrong with this game and basically put things into perspective for me. Here are my pros and cons of the game:
    Pros:
    - The environment is awesome and also seems realistic with how the grass moves, snow effects, etc.
    - The variety of weapons is nice.
    - Skill tree is a decent add on.

    Cons:
    - A certain characters death came too fast and was uncalled for.
    - WHY IS A PREGNANT WOMAN GOING ALONG WITH ABBY ON HER MISSION!!! Makes no sense at all!
    - Ellie's stealth take downs take too long throughout half the game, which you can upgrade for a faster takedown in the skill tree, which I think is stupid.
    - Dina/Jesse are dumb in combat as well as stealth situations.
    - It was somewhat painfully boring playing as Ellie in her flashbacks as I thought it could've been more of a cutscene then gameplay and that it made the game seem longer than what it is supposed to be.
    - Some of Abby's skills in her skill tree should've been in Ellie's skill tree.
    - Some skill tree options don't seem appealing and seem wasteful to spend on as you have to spend your credits on one skill in order to unlock another skill that actually seems appealing.
    - I don't like how Ellie holds a grudge against Joel for saving her life.
    - Felt like the journey throughout the game was kind of wasted because of how the game ended.

I am neutral with how the game ended, but like I said I felt like the journey to the end was kind of wasted and just when you thought the game was over it is not and at some point I just wanted to be done with the game as it just seems to drag on in certain parts of the story. I believe in my eyes a 7/10 is a fair rating as I know a lot of work went into this game and even though there are some major flaws I thought it was still a good game. Knowing what I know now I would not buy this game at full price. 5 years from now more or less we might see The Last of Us Part 3 and if they do plan on making it hopefully they will have learned what they did wrong with this game to make improvements on the next game.

The story and its decision gives this world a bleak outlook. Wich ads to the immersion of the world.

Gameplay feels more tight, but the aiming is still as blocky as the first game. You can opt for a auto aim setting if you like.
The dodge button works great and at times makes the fighting feel really cinamatic in al its bloddy glory.
It is brutal, it really is and i LOVE it. Reviewers judging that it is to real and make you feel sorry for taking a life is complete bs. Its a game and all the trailers prepares you for it. If you have a soft heart and cant handle it than dont play it after watching the trailer.

Graphics and sound. My word they nailed it. The sound is so realistic, guns actually sound loud like a gun should. Wich most games fail to deliver.
And the rain, wind and voices al sound so good. Especially with a surround headset.

This game got such an unfair score, both by users that hate the story decision and reviewers that gave it nothing but love.
Its not a perfect game. At times the story is to drawn out. End the ending should have ended a couple of hours before the real ending. (you will know why if you play it)
But the gameplay, sound and graphics alone makes this game a solid 8.
And if you feel like the gameplay is too repetative, than you yourself made it that way. The game gives you many ways to end that npc, fire, bullets, fists, arrows, bricks, knifes and al kinds of melee weapons. Not to mention you can stealthly take them out or go b*lls to the walls ham on people. Dont blame a game being repetative when you cant open your mind to other ways of play.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Found this gem in a comment section: However I have to completely disagree about the game passing the message of "revenge destroys you" to the player at all. First of all, any time a character does a morally good action, the story punishes them for it (Joel saved a total stranger-> she kills him, Abby spared Ellie and Tommy->they come for her, ellie tried to get information from bf-dude and pregnant-lady without killing them->they try to kill her and she's forced to kill them). Ellie did indeed lose everything in her quest for vengeance and in the end did the morally right thing and forgave Abby, therefore forfeiting her revenge. Abby lost nothing in her quest for revenge and even accomplished it, most of her friends died at the hands of ellie in self defense and they weren't just innocent bystanders, they were accomplishes to Joel's murder, and in the end having satisfied her lust for revenge even gets a chance at redemption and a proper life in the form of Lev. So one of the characters gets her revenge, loses nothing to achieve it and in the end gets a chance at a new life while the other forfeits her revenge (having killed literally hundreds of unrelated people to get to that point), loses literally everything she has in the process and has absolutely no chance at redemption, having lost even her father's final gift to her (playing the guitar). If anything, the message I got was "seeking revenge or not, be as ruthless as you can be, lower your guard for no one even if they're tied up and at the point of a gun, leave no loose ends and never forgive", which I'm pretty sure is not the message ND intended, basically turning us all into tlou1's Joel, the guy they are trying so hard to frame as an irredeemable villain. In the midst of opposition from many directions, both from the fans who were disappointed with the story since the leaked, and from the Anti-SJW group that attacked the creators intentionally putting too much LGBT + in the game. Which led to a 0-point collapse within hours of opening for reviews in Metacritic, in contrast to scores from a lot of media and critics. Until causing the game to be accused of being overrated by critics. And became one of the most controversial games of the late PS4 era.

But after playing 37 hours of The Last of Us Part II through reading all the notes collected in the game, open every safe as there is, looking through the environment in every molecule that I've seen, crawling through the grass, chase after killing the WLF, ride a horse in open area, locked Seraphites's neck, dodge bullets, running away from the infected with a bumping heart, I found that in the dark atmosphere of vengeance and chaos that was overwhelming incessantly. Among the surreal ruins of Seattle Madness and Ellie's "Smell of Steel" is carefully crafted, rich and unbeatable.

Even if the game is presented on the story line that goes straight to the same end - to the same pain. But with clever storytelling methods, it returns fresh results. Even though the taste is strange, different, but amazing.

In the first part, we will play Ellie in the age of 18 years. Ellie is not a little kid like in the first part anymore. She becomes a teenager who questions life. Joel's lies are eating her. While she learns to love, she must experience the loss at the same time. In the end she lost his way to revenge without destination.

    And that's just the beginning

From what we have always thought of, to kill enemies in the game, and maybe there will be some sympathy for our opponents (which is probably not so much), but in the second half of TLOU2. Instead, the game forces us to "play" or act as our own enemies from the first part of the game. That is Abby, the daughter of a doctor who was killed by Joel in the first sequel (to save Ellie). She grew up with a full resentment. Abandon everything just for strength of body and mind, Waiting for the day to pay back for Joel. Finally, it brought a pounding between her and Elle until the last seconds of the game.

This is how ND tell the story through gameplay. It's take the player to dive with the characters to the max Players have learned to stand on both sides of the coin. Seeing the development of resentment that ties them together. And in the end, only to find that we all become victims of each other (among many victims in this story).

TLOU2 is therefore not just an action game driven by the story of vengeance that abound. And there is no representation of good vs evil. Everything is vague, anguish and bleak. All the violence that appears in the game is more than that. Victory doesn't come from the enemy's blood, but from both of us. And among all the feelings I had after the end of the play. One of them is the word "aesthetics", pondering over the past 37 hours. Instead of considering fierce paintings, which were drawn with the smallest brush, concentrating so as not to lose sight.

The chase scene between Abby and Ellie in the theater is something that is beyond expectations and really squeezes my heart. This is the only game that leads us to face violence and invites us to see the hurt of both sides of resentment. Until the last moment on the shores of Santa Barbara. The collision between two people who are whacked and lost is therefore the most painful and beautiful tragedy.

"When you're lost in the darkness, look for the light."

Regardless of whether you like or dislike this game for any reason, but the thing that must be accepted is , among all the action games that sell violence so far, we are accustomed to shooting anonymous AI or evil demons. This is a AAA game that is brave enough to raise violence as a proposition, meticulously put life into it and use it to slap our face to call us from the whirlwind of indifference towards action games. And in one way or another, it has changed us forever.

For those who read this and still hate this game. Either from the negative trend or the private opinion. Well, hopefully one day you will see this game like I see. And try to forgive it once.

Ellie: "I don't think I can ever forgive you for that... But I'd like to try."

The only thing that got this game points with me were the graphics. The controls were very much like the first game, but show their age. A little clunky at times, but alright. Now let's get to the big problem. The story. Jumping back and forth, from timeline to character; it was difficult to keep track of what was going on sometimes. But that was just the beginning. The characters were awful as well. Not the acting, to clarify, but the character writing. The characters from the first game made stupid choices that, if they were the same characters, they wouldn't have made. Abby, the new character, was completely unlikable and unrelateable, despite having a solid reason to be included in the story. The third problem is you can tell that there was an agenda, or another reason, the story was written and the characters made the way they were. Media, like games or movies or books, are made to enjoy and to escape reality. That all falls apart when someone is trying to shove their beliefs down your throat. This game is a prime example of this and explains why the story was so hard to follow. Too many agendas cause the story to be disjointed. It's such a shame, I've been waiting for the sequel since the first game was released on the ps3. It was a masterpiece of art. The main story, the dlc, graphics, it was incredible. Only to have the sequel reduced to someone's opinion on how the world should be. Please, let's return games to what they were and stop with the forcing of political and social beliefs. Those are some of the topics we are trying to escape when we play games. Expand

Good game, very nice gameplay amazing graphics for a ps4 game, and really confused about the ending, was gonna give it 9 but after the ending i decided it'll be no lower than 7 qnd not higher than 9 so i rate it 8,i really didn't like the sexual contents in this game and the hidden messages to accept homosexuality. good game overall.

Un juego que te marca, a mi, gracias a Dios, me da una grata sorpresa y creo que es uno de los juegos mas valientes y rompedores que he jugado.

good graphics and gameplay but the story is disappointing.
Really expect it to drop in price because it's not worth buying now.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is utter garbage, my 3rd-grade students can write a better story than this. It's obvious the agenda behind the game and from a fan's standpoint of the first Last of Us, "this game just ruined any credibility for this company as they tried to sell you something else in their promotions". The franchise is over R.I.P and don't waste your money. Expand

But the way the story unfolds and the intensity is unparalleled. Hands down a next level game. Personally the best story to a game I have ever experienced. Expand

This is an amazing sequel of part1. It has a great story and a huge improve in gameplay. I believe some haters just don't know what they want from this game and I hope they can experience this story again instead of hating this game blindly.

Gameplay has improved the graphics are beautiful and amazing but The story is horrible Eli isn’t Eli abby is force-fed to us this game disrespects the first one in so many ways, pointless, needed to be rewritten not wasting $60 on this I recommend renting it buying it only if it’s on sale for 10 bucks.

The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
