I was a bit nervous given all the controversy and drama surrounding the game. I really liked the original title, and was looking forward to this one. Well, it is amazing. It's not a flawless game, but no game is and this is definitely one of the best games ever made. I cannot believe that so many are review bombing this. They have not even played the game. Grow up. It's pathetic.

After 25 years of living in a post apocalyptic world and having done the kind of work Joël did the event leading to his execution look impossible to me. A guy with his background would never had been so relaxed with such a big group and rrevealedhis real name...
Forcing us to play such a beloved characters killer when is it a good idea i don't give a **** about Abby...
And weak ending it's highly illogical to think about Joël playing guitar as you're about to finally avenge him at best if you do guet a flashback is one about him guetting killed an then be even more motivated to fish the bith...but never would let the **** go...
They also made Ellie highly unlikable...
Making her selfish and unable to understand that it's because Joël loved her that he saved her in the even from the first opus.
They never at one moment in the story is the clicker outbreak given more info that player didn't know from the first game...

I think Naughty Dog had political messages they wish to tell using the story and it was more important to them than to deliver a good story

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Abby is a terrible and ugly character, inside and out. This game was supposed to be about Ellie, yet you spent half the game playing through garbage you don't care about. I get what the writers were trying to do, but they fail in making you care about Abby, which makes the game fail in my opinion.
The gameplay is exactly the same as the first game, except you can go prone now. Very little innovation.
The only good this about this game is the graphics. They are the best you will see on the PS4. The environments are insanely detailed and the lighting effects are amazing.
I found the game tedious to finish. Very dissatisfied and disappointed in this entry of the series.

The graphic was fantastic, superb gameplay, great characters especially Abby. She's a great bodybuilder.
Outstanding story, i really like that in the end they took everything from Ellie. She's a horrible character anyway. She deserved it. I hate joel too, i wish he had suffered more. And that sex scene was soooo disgus... i mean sooo romantic.
i'm really happy that Abby survived without any punishment, i hope she will be the only main character in part 3. She's the greatest character Naughty Dog ever created.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The only reason this game hasn't gotten a 0 from me is because of the graphics and design and gameplay which gets very repetitive (which is almost exactly similar to the first one). The plot ruins the entire game. Tbh, I knew that there was a high possibility Joel is gonna die. But the writers literally fecked his entire character to kill him in the most improbable way which is what ruined this for me. Don't think the ppl upset with this are just upset because a beloved char died. Most ppl aren't upset with the RDR series which have killed off loved chars as well. Joel in TLoU : "He ain't even hurt"
Joel in TLoU 2 : Saves a person from zombies while running *away* from said zombies and goes to their base and says "I'm Joel, we live nearby" to a group of heavily armed strangers.

They just changed his entire personality so that he could be killed at the start of the game for "shock factor".

Not to mention the fact that this is a revenge story without any revenge. Ellie kills dozens if not hundreds of ppl to get to Abby and then spares Abby because ReVeNgE iS bAd. Basically a bs move to force bs philosophy down the players' throat. Don't even get me started on the fact that Neil inserted himself as a character in the game. And his character spit on Joel's dead body. Not only that, he had the most disgusting sex scene with Abby.

Also, ND's backhanded schemes of misleading advertisements and their overall response has been pretty telling why this game was so disconnected from the fans. TL,DR: This game completely ruined the characters and character arcs from the previous game. Its a revenge story with no revenge. Its the equivalent of Game of Thrones S8. The creators don't seem to know the difference between "realistic" and just straight up torture/misery porn.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I've finished the game recently and finally gave in to the realization it was a waste of time. I kept looking for arguments in it's favor. I've talked a lot about with my partner. Still, the lesson I learned from the game is that I shouldn't have played it. I won't describe the plot itself but only rant about the grand design of it.

The processes it triggered in me are not positive or aiming to improve me as a person. Nor did I have fun playing it which kind is the point of a game. I felt like Sisif pushing this boulder of sadness further and further only to fall back to my knees as my hopes of a deeper and better meaning got crushed by the next character's decision. I wanted to stop during the game multiple times because I understood where it was heading. I only finished it because I figured it was only fair if I wanted to express an opinion about it.

While I started with affection towards the world and the characters I ended up hating everyone equally as it all turns into a brutal descent into madness. Honestly I hope they won't make a part 3 as I can't see myself touching any of these characters again. How can one love characters who's only scope of existence is death and murder? And why would you build characters up just to reduce them to this in the end? They killed Joel, a character whose actions made me question myself in his situation, who had a drive and a final hard choice to face. Why make it useless? What would he have thought about everything to unfold after? These characters seem to have not played the first game and got nothing from what the first game made me thing about.

Even more then the world I hated the game for not allowing any kind of choices. I waited in a blocked scene with the "Strike" prompt on screen for half an hour still hoping. But no, the descent must be total and brutal and useless and senseless. And the trivial fact is that it repeats all over. The game gives you the feeling something is about to change, some character seems to understand the crossing of a line and then it rolls back into the same action pattern from 3 chapters ago. That makes it so heard to buy into it. The suspension of disbelief turns into the stupor of understanding it's all fake as the characters stay the same and don't evaluate, don't build, don't progress and we are forced to witness their mistakes over and over again towards a perfectly clear cliche ending.

I get that games should pull us out from our comfort zone and make us contemplate the actions and the reasons behind actions, but it needs to have meaning. In here it was just gratuitous because of the ending. If the focus were to say loud and clearly "An eye for eye and the whole world goes blind" it failed miserably by not committing fully to it. The whole game the only language the characters can speak is "murder" and at the end we have a sudden change of heart? Really? Also, we expect from games to feed our fantasies, give us a glimpse into being heroes and better, to be a better reflection of reality.

So if you got so far you probably wonder, why a 10? I've really thought this trough. Truth is it's just like Joel said, If I were given a second chance I would do it exactly the same all over again. I've pictured if something like this would happen to someone I loved in real life. In games we are all valiant and honorable, and see the grander picture, but shift that to real life. Yes, I believe there won't be any more uncross-able lines, there won't be limits and the world would go blind. Is this the real nature of trauma? To break us into pieces and reduce us to nothing but grief and predatory instincts? I don't know but it feels real. The game reminded me of Frank Herbert's White Plague novel, which I loved. So I think I love this game too, but it's hard to love what shines a light on our darker selves and breaks our self-perceived illusions. How many games do you know to do manage to achieve this?

What would you have done if you were Ellie or Abby, in real life?

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Joel dies. Not only does he die, but he dies like an animal. He dies because incompetent writers made him incompetent for the sake of getting him killed. Abby gets everything. She’s living the good life. Hey, her friends might be dying one by one, but it’s all good. She got to avenge her NPC father from the first game. What does Ellie get? Nothing. She goes on a long and arduous journey to avenge her father figure. She loses everything. She finally reaches Abby, and having piled thousands of bodies just to get to her, decides— “Eh. I’m not feeling it anymore, Mr. Krabs.” She is left alone and broken at the end of the game. Abby gets off scot free because Neil couldn’t stand the thought of killing the character he mocapped a sex scene with. The game doesn’t have a bad ending.
    It has a pathetic ending.

What a waste of time. Disgraceful. You’re better off pretending it never existed.

Story is way different than the first, it made you think so hard what will happen next, and it gets more complex due to the amount of important characters in this game. The story may be divisive especially about the controversy regarding death on a few characters. BUT, if you judge it objectively and stop thinking selfishly that how the story continue SHOULD be the same as how you want it to be, i'm pretty sure you will like it.

A lot of creative environment puzzles (in fact, there's a lot of em), can't believe i read a review and he/she said that the puzzles are gone and he/she has played the game. dude, stop review bombing.

Graphics is amazing, it's the most beautiful game this generation imo. Frame rate is really stable (locked 30) and the animation is godly.

It's okay if you hate LGBT but please don't let it divert your opinions on the game. Just stop.

Gameplay is SO MUCH FUN if you really like the feeling of being hunted, or hard stealth game. It's way harder to stealth just because of the introduction of dogs and how big the areas are with much more smarter AI and better vision for the enemies. The human enemies are diverse as well!

Don't believe the lies. When you're lost in darkness, look for the light.

You may become enraged at times or suffer from a broken heart, but any story that can make you feel that way deserves maybe a little attention. We get to see two characters filled with rage and despair who see each other as pure evil, and start to see their actions weigh heavily on them.
Pacing off? Oh definitely! This story could have flowed a lot more smoothly. But I'm definitely glad at most of the story/information being given. Abby could of done with a lot more building up and background to start off her side of the story.
Beautiful graphics and world? HELL YES! So many small details and plenty of info around to pull us into the world! It was a long game, it left me winded and just waiting for the end at a certain point. On the contrary, now that it's been a couple days since finishing, I'm actually trying to psych myself up to go back into it on plus mode. I'm not looking forward to certain parts, but I really enjoyed the game overall.i know I'm going against popular opinion here, so who am I to say to play it?

This game blew me away, I agree that the story went in such a way that I disliked it at first glance. But if you play on, you come to realise why it happened and why it actually had to happen! By the end of the story, everything about the game made sense and was a real blast to play through. I took my time to explore and find all the lore and finished it in around 24 hours. There aren’t many single player games with that length, there aren’t many games that actually made me feel the way I did when playing. The whole premise had an atmosphere that is extremely immersive and the fluidity of the games progression is spot on. I can’t fault it, if I’m honest. You get multiple sides of the story and when it all actually comes together, it’s a wild and brutal ride that will leave a mark! If you enjoyed the first, you will no doubt enjoy this one. I was very anti-TLOU2 after I saw the leaks a few months back and I already knew the general jist of the story. But I didn’t let that spoil the game, the leaks happen within the 2 hour mark and the rest of the 22 hours it took for me to finish came as a surprise. The lore in this game is incredible, there are many different stories going on that you physically read through. I literally have nothing bad to say about this game. Apart from the fact people are leaving bad reviews for no reason when you can clearly see they never played it!

Favourite chapter: Seattle Day 2 - Ground Zero. This chapter was absolutely incredible. If you enjoyed the first one, buy this game and don’t listen to all the negativity! You will not be disappointed! The last 3 hours of the game will blow you away!

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The last of us 2 was an amazing game visually. It’s an amazing game at creating suspense and anxiety. When talking about it I’ve always said it’s not really that fun, but very engaging and stressful which Is fun to some people like myself. The problem for me with the last of us 2, was that it never really made me happy, which is the main reason I play story games. Games like Rdr2, Gow, or the original tlou made me very attached to the characters. In all of those games there are iconic and great moments that makes me feel like those characters feel. Real emotions. In tlou2, the only time I was happy was during the flashbacks with Joel. I could truly care less about abby. Seeing Joel alive was really the only thing. I really like Tommy as well and wish he was in the story more than he is. I can’t find myself to relate with almost any of the characters. As for Joel’s death, I hated it. I was very angry, and I think that’s what they wanted for sure. But Joel didn’t deserve to go out like that. He should’ve gone out defending Ellie from abby or something. Something like Arthur Morgan giving his life to save john marston. If you are really going to kill off a beloved character you have to do it in a good way. The beginning of the game is literally 2 lesbians smoking pot, and then killing Joel. I don’t think most of the people who bought the game care. As for a lot of people complaining about sjw stuff, yes it is in the game. It was annoying to me, but I’m more indifferent than anything. If it was a straight scene I could care less as well. I just want to play a fun and engaging game. Because of these factors like not relating to characters, just wishing the story was completely different, not really being happy at all while playing the game, I can’t rate it very high. This game was fantastic if you don’t care about story. But it’s a linear game (for the most part) and story is what matters. For me it’s a 6.5 out of 10. But I’m still mad about Joel’s death so I’m rounding it down. Expand

First I want to clarify I'm not a native speaker to the English language in case I have some words that I mispelled, now let's get on for the review.
I want to start by saying the positive things that came out of this game.
The last of us was one of the most heartbreaking and groundbreaking games ever. So, for the sequel it was expected to have a lot of hype and expectations coming in... Evene after saying that I think the sequel did kind of dissapoint me.
The last of us part 2 has probably the best visuals, special effects, cgi I have ever seen in any videogame ever. I think that many people aren´t acknowledging that. The visuals left me with my jaw on the floor, each scene felt like a masterpiece.
Also, the gameplay developed similarly to the first one adding many elements like the stealth options, the workshop elements, the improvement of skills, etc. I think that the gameplay, the zombies and the action scenes are way more fun and unique in a very real way. Each time I kill some enemies I feel the weight of each bullet, the npc's feel more realistic and griddy making the game have a much more realistic look for the environment and for the characters.
Another thing I really enjoyed was the writing, even though the story, the pacing, the characters and some decisions are really poor in this game the writing does have it's moments. The writing was pretty good considering the story they wanted to say, the characters did feel grounded and I felt the weight of each character I lost even the ones I didn't actually know in the beginning. Relationships are formed in a decent way and many characters do feel very real.
    Now with the negatives.
I won't get too much into the story because I don't want to spoil anyone, but the story is really weak. After the first one this one felt like a try hard version of a change in characters that didn't work as well as they wanted to. Most of the characters that you already know from the first game are changed almost completely in a way that you almost can't recognize. The story is sloppy and a bit messy in times shifting from flash backs and stories that are very on the nose.
The game makes some bold decisions that in the end don't play that well. I think that the studio, the actors, the visuals effects, the concept art, the design... they all did their best with what they were given.
But, in my opinion it ended up becoming a ground breaking video game in visuals, having some of the most flawless animations ever. Some really fun gameplay in a story that ends up being pretty forgettable. In itself this videogame would have been a really decent one if it wasn't a sequel, but sadly it is.
This game tries to portray a story that has already been told in many ways, media, tv shows and movies. It tries to be super clever, but it ends up falling a bit flat even with good writing and good visuals.
This movie just suffered from the pacing, the structure of the story and the way that it was told. This game could've still been a masterpiece if it was told in a different order and in a way that didn't make the person playing the game forced to feel something. This game could've been a masterpiece... sadly it ended up being a forgettable ok game that I would only play again for the visuals.

Isn't it though, a crying shame that we can no longer trust review scores, and that people like myself, now have to go out and purchase a game, essentially going in blind. For that reason, The Last of Us Part II is now in my collection...but not for much longer. It is destined for a pre-played bargain basket, somewhere in Sydney.
If it was a stand alone game, let’s call it The First of Them Part 1, I could have emerged myself in the beautiful visuals and reasonable gameplay, and just made a cuppa tea during the bleak cut scenes (and one cringe-worthy - please gouge my eyes out - sex scene). But this was a sequel to one of the best, heartfelt stories ever told. It has totally spoilt The Last of Us, for me. Now I know, how it ultimately continues/ends, I don't think I'll ever be able to return to it (the original Part 1) ever again.
Imagine The Shawshank Redemption Part 2, where Andy and Red's, now homosexual, relationship is revealed to an unsuspecting audience. Andy is killed by the Granddaughter of Warden Norton and the remaining plot has Captain Hadley chasing down and trying to kill Red, who in turn is trying to chase down and kill Warden Norton's Granddaughter. Would that get an IMDB score of 10/10? Probably. Because like I said, you just can't trust review scores anymore.

Main issue was that we waited 7 years for this game with no payoff. We didn't get to play our favorite character again, they spent most of the game trying to vilify the other main character, then tried to make you like the worst character in the series, maybe the worst character Naughty Dog has ever made.

The ending is just.... not great. The build up is not great. Everything about this game aside from gameplay is extremely disappointing and this is amplified by the fact that we waited 7 years for this.

It's one of the most complex games i've ever played. Emotionally intense, you can pass from frenetic anger and fury to full nostalgic and sadness. Gameplay is at another level, it has some mechanics that make the player feel fully inside the different situations of the characters. Really enjoyed the experience, really felt the plot.

The graphic was nice, only certain small detail was kind of weird if you not look into it in detail.

Friendly advise for those who want to gain platinum trophies in this game, you might being torture by the loading time instead of re-watch those skippable cinematic cutscene.......it was slightly long to wait especially skip the cutscene in between the chapter, it take time to fully load up a new chapter.

We can identify with the agenda simply because we can see ourselves making the same choices. In a world like The Last of Us there are no protagonists. As a result of her selfishness, she lost Dina too. She needed to forgive Joel. People had an agenda. They wanted the same game again. I’m sorry to disappoint. I loved this game. While the gameplay was just alright, the story was a master peace. I loved Elli and Joel, their character the bond and everything and I waited so long to experience MORE OF ELLIE AND JOEL. PTSD is portrayed with disquieting realism, and the devastating emotional ramifications of abruptly losing someone you love but with whom you're estranged are explored in Ellie's journey. Gameplay is improved upon from part 1, with the ability to crawl and dodge adding a lot of fun to stealth and combat encounters. Graphics are out of this world beautiful and voice acting was incredible. The animators did a fantastic job capturing the complex emotions on faces throughout this often bleak and emotionally destructive take.

The storyline to me fails to deliver in a similar way to the previous game, for a story driven game this is quite problematic. Characters were not really fleshed out, and returning characters felt different to the point that I believe if they had just made this game with a whole new cast of characters it would make more sense. Even saying that particular character choices and storylines just didn't feel like they were made to a good standard. The pacing additionally felt strange with story points from the start of the game are only being concluded much later at which point I had lost interest in following, as the lack of focus made it seem like they were irrelevant.

In summary the story disappointed me, and I hope the multiplayer experience gives me a reason to keep the game

I grew with Ellie. Its been 7 years for me and 4-5 for her and the world she lives in. This is a bleak unflinching world where happiness is an afterthought. Every death seems to carry weight. every encounter weighs on me the player. The characters are fleshed out. The cinematics are perfectly synced with the action. The mythos of the world is dense. You have a society being built on the crumbs of the past. And it is as flawed as we are today. There is hope here. you go through layers and layers of despair to get to it. But that's Life personified.

On a last note. This story will stay with me for some time. I will ponder the choices made. I will fight with the pros and cons. But in the end i will wait for what comes next. Please let there be a next.

All those who hate Abby for doing what she does, are just like Abby, giving into their hate, thinking they are out to get justice for what they feel has been taken from them. And then like Ellie, they are being unable to let go of her grief. That is the reason, why we need games like The Last Of Us 2. Because they hold up a mirror and challenge us, showing us what we don't want to see about ourselves. This is what art does. First of all, I’m a HUGE ND fan and I did not watch any trailer or any leak that came out, I like to experience it like a virgin. I think the game is not a 10/10 and I hope you understand why. After the success of TLOU, ND had a mountain to climb to make this game. The first one made such a revolution that it almost seems impossible to make this game, but they did and decisions had to be made. I did like the story, excluding a couple of moments, and I think the gameplay was a very good evolution from the first. The developers crafted a very cool system that adapts to your play style; melee, guns or stealth. Acting and music was very very good, also the environments were something that I had not seen before in a game. It’s obvious that the game has many many good things, but were does it slide off? I think the structure of the story was something that could have been executed a little better. There were tons of flashbacks and jumps that sometimes get you out of the mood or want to put you in another mood. If the structure was compiled different I think the game could have landed better, leaving you with much stronger feelings about the characters and the cruel world you inhabit. First of all the death of Joel was something that I was kind of expecting, it seemed too good to be true to have another adventure with Ellie. I was expecting him to die eventually, but the game kills him in an CRUEL way that leaves you desiring revenge in the firsts hours. The game NAILS the first Half as Ellie in Seattle, it’s engaging, down right awesome and brutal. Ellie suffers, gets hurt, almost dies and sees this new side of the world, but is worth it because of Joel. As the player you keep going because you need to get revenge, you want those bastards to pay for what they have done. Suddenly you switch to Abby, this character that you have nothing attached to her and no investment. You see a little of her backstory and you start playing for 10 hours as her. It’s obvious that the developers want you to sympathize with her, in my case it almost worked, even though some of the cast from this side was a little bland and uninteresting. There were times when I just wanted to get through it to get back to Ellie, I just didn’t care much about Abby. But the objective of seeing Abby as a human being is something really brave from ND, she was getting revenge also. But I think that ND didn’t realize is that we have spent 12-18 hours more with Ellie and Joel and it’s only natural that we like them more because we feel we know them better. The part of the scars and the invasion of the island made me just feel there was no end to the game and I was never getting back to Ellie. Right to the ending, I didn’t dislike it and the more I think about it I’m more inclined to say that I like it. But there’s something that doesn’t feel right, I’m left a little bit sad and frustrated, but maybe it’s what they wanted me to feel. I don’t think it’s in anyway a bad game, 0/10, hell no. The worst parts are the length and the jumping back and forth with the flashbacks and between Ellie and Abby. But I think the game has more good and awesome stuff to put it right by 8/10 for me. It’s not TLOU but it’s a solid sequel and an awesome game from ND. Finally I want to end the review with Troy Baker is the *ucking man as Joel and Ashley Johnson as Ellie; really really loved both of them. Laura Bailey was also good, but I just couldn’t love someone that killed Joel. Expand

Great game, possibly the best game. Technically and thematically, this game is simply on another level. It builds upon the first installment by adding some exploration. It also advances the plot in an unexpected but logical way.

I loved the gameplay, the visuals are stunning, but naughty dog put story beats as priority over characters. Feels like the motivations of characters were less developed than the cool and truly unique scenarios implemented. That’s fine for any other game, but not when the bar for characterization was set so high for the originals. Truly loved the game but truly despised the story. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I saw the leaks, and still bought the game hoping it would be better with "context" and it was not. Game play was very repetitive(Turn on generator.. it needs gas... go across the map get gas... opened door ... there another generator.. it needs gas).. Majority of the problem in the game is that they try to make you like Abby, when a lot of people are not going to like her, it is what it is.But they gave her the best missions best weapons. And i believe the game would have been better if they give you the choice to kill or spare Abby. Let the player make the decision, And then Last of Us 3 could take off from the players decision.(that would be next gen). Expand

An expertly crafted & challenging story. Improvements to the gameplay of the original.
Every enemy encounter felt like you barely made it out alive.

If the developers had been more concerned with telling a good story and less with subversion and their own personal politics, the game probably would’ve been a lot better. As it is, I feel like I’m playing through an advertisement for Druckman’s political opinions where the game is just a mouthpiece. Other stories have done really well without shoehorning or coming off as preachy like HBO’s “Wokemen” and this. Definitely skip or buy heavily discounted in a couple years if you’re interested in the tech. Expand

There were so many moments in the game where I was caught off guard or surprised by some action, in many cases shouting out loud or jerking back in my seat startled. I’ve never played a game that makes me feel this involved and part of the story.

This game is a sequel, the story had to do something drastic to not be too repetitive with the first game. I initially was not thrilled when I reached the “moment” in the game which I think the negative reviews are focused on, but as the game went on the more I enjoyed the story and the creative direction that the developer and game designers took. The game is definitely worth the purchase and play through. I intend to play through it again to find anything I missed the first time.

If there was one thing that could have been better is the gameplay controls, reloading with R2 is unusual. I usually reload guns with square. I also got tired of the infected encounters and the AI was not very smart. You could hide in stealth mode and 6 NPC’s would see dead bodies and walk right up to the same spot for an easy kill. I also don’t think it was smart for NPC’s to announce their moves “let’s push up, rush her, etc).

The constant narrative switching both between characters and throughout the timeline makes investing in the story undesirable. The characters and their designs have unrealistic priorities and intentions, that are not believable in the setting of the story. The dialogue tends to be unnatural or overly melodramatic, and has very little purpose or depth to the characters and environment. The constant narrative switching both between characters and throughout the timeline makes investing in the story undesirable. The environmental design, and the interactions the player has with it, is a major redeeming value. However, the AI systems still operates on a dull and predictably stupid level.

The Last of Us Part II is a tumultuous mess, but at least it's a pretty mess.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The TLOU2 was one of my most anticipated sequels and frankly I don’t know how I feel even after 2 days of completing it, and I think that speaks volumes for the writing.

Firstly, the gameplay/animations are so beautifully executed that it kept levels feel new and interesting and makes me want to go back and play more to try different ways to complete certain stages.
The acting from everyone still blows me away some of the best acting I have seen in sometime.

My favorite part of the game was the characters, I loved Ellie and Dina’s relationship and think it was very important to have that relationship for Ellie’s development, however so many characters died that when Yara was killed I felt nothing because it almost felt like a norm and didn’t carry the weight that maybe naughty dog wanted it to come across.
The story for me was perfect up until the second half where you play as Abby where I felt like, do I really need to do this, thankfully Abby had some interesting weapons and different combat to Ellie which kept me busy, but still didn’t like it her story arc.

One thing that threw me and I’m sure many people off guard was the sex scene between Abby and Owen, I didn’t have a problem with the scene however it added nothing to the story even if the scene was not graphic, I would feel the same way. For example, the “sex scene” between Ellie and Dina was there to establish their relationship but also made me feel like why make one scene graphic and another scene not?

Another problem that I had with characters is that Tommy went from lock Ellie up don’t let her leave and we need to leave Abby and get back to Jackson to then making Ellie feel guilty for not completing the job. He could obviously see that Ellie was happy and safe with Dina but he still felt like he needed to make her feel the way he did. It felt like inconsistent character writing
The end of the game seeing, Abby in that state made me feel bad? In a sense which I did not expect to happen and the boss fight between these two broken characters made me feel so uncomfortable while playing but Ellie’s decision in letting Abby live made sense to her character. But also, the flashback where Ellie said she was willing to forgive Joel, made me feel like maybe Ellie feels the same way about Abby.

Overall, the game had some strong features however the story for me lacked near the end and left me unsatisfied but I think that’s how they were trying to make me feel and no video game has made me feel that way before.

The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
