    I was a huge fan of the first part and i honestly cannot understand the reviews made in here. It is a matter of opinion but you could objectively say, that the game is well crafted and especially the details and handcrafts in it making the world atmospheric and the storyline interesting. In this field this game succeeds in many ways as you go on your bloody path towards vengence for the death of joel you come to realise not everything is black and white. The mist powerful part of this story is when you let abby go showing how hard it is to just let go of your anger or risk losing everything i loved every minute in this world and the most shocking part for me is realising there are no real villains here just 2 people caught in a sea of hate and vengence.… Expand

    They completely did Joel dirty, no dignity at all. Ellie's character lost consistency thanks to the ending. The story is trash. Great graphics but little innovation with gameplay, especially considering the time this took to make.

    Es una obra maestra, obviamente no supera al primero pero aún así es un gran juego que te hace sentir cosas nuevas, el ambiente está súper bien hecho, lo mejor que ha salido en el 2020, ojalá salga una parte 3 jaja por que lo necesito o simplemente un DLC que nos muestre lo que vivió tommy en Seattle.

    Amazing game, everything about it is incredible, be it the storyline or the gameplay, also extra points for the accessibility and inclusivity, all that makes this game utterly immersive and organic, almost like a movie we can interact with and be part of. I'm betting all I have on for it to win GOTY.

    This game is beautiful, the best from ps4, amazing job from the programmers team, but the history let everything you love about trying to write his own, you cant just kill a beloved character like joel to progress the history, imagine killing kratos to start loki history or killing Geralt to give Ciri a reason for revenge, thats is what happen in TLoU 2, a cliche plot using a masterpiece.
    I'ill ignore TLoU2 and everything from now on, its better to consider TLoU the only game in the series to see become a cliche, Socio-political cash grab.    … Expand

While the gameplay was just alright, the story was a master peace. I loved Elli and Joel, their character the bond and everything and I waited so long to experience MORE OF ELLIE AND JOEL. Instead this game just tosses that **** out the **** window and forces you to like the **** Abby, which I ****g don't. If they wanted us to like Abby the story could have been written so much better instead is this shock value bull****. It also felt like the game wanted us to hate Ellie and Joel, the charactes that I loved and wanted more of, but instead like Abby. The ending was just very unsatisfing. And in my opinion ****g bull****. I think I really hate this game because I played the last game which I wanted more of. But I would get why some people think this game is pretty good. Well yeah the graphics are amazing and the details are just perfect but the story is so butchers and assraped I just really want something better. In terms of gameplay there is. Nothing new.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I am not sure where to begin with this title, but I will say this: TLOU was an amazing, heart-felt, beautifully crafted and written game. Seven years later, this pile gets dumped on us. In an effort to be as fair as I can, the visuals, animations, voice acting, and world are amazingly well done. But...that's not why I wanted to play this game. The gameplay is stale - it does little to iterate or improve on a legacy system (PS3) on the next-generation console (PS4).

    The main characters that I loved so much didn't even seem the same. Joel doesn't act like Joel, Ellie doesn't act like Ellie, and ham-handed new characters that also don't make much sense. The story is shoved down your throat, there is no choice involved, and - lest we call forget - revenge is bad. Unless you're a character named Abby who has cake and eats it too.

    Oh, and you play multiple hours as a ho-hum character that I just couldn't bring myself to give a crap about. The depth of character from the first game is starkly missing.

    Not worth the buy. 3/10 because its sound, acting, and visuals were amazing. Aside from that? Eh, if you're curious, watch a VOD of gameplay on YT or your favorite streaming platform.    … Expand

    2- everything that is touched by gender ideology is known to ruin it, we can see that in all types of movies, series or exactly in this video game, if you want to see any possible example of this I invite you to see terminator dark fate , birds of prey, the looney toons themselves who are going to make a series "without violence", Charlie's Angels, captain marvel, etc.
    3-Its gameplay in a way is not good for all kinds of audiences, it is certainly not something that innovates at all or that it has something to highlight, it is just one more game with an "old" mechanics (2015) with slight improvements, It is good but without going further, nothing that stands out outside the common.
    4- in its graphic section it is not something that stands out much in itself, I consider that the setting of the city could have been seen in a more "sinister" way, so to speak, showing how the infection advanced through the city and not the same nature, since only the city will see few infected (when practically most of humanity had been massacred by this infection and is in the epicenter of a city), I think that showing only some parts where the infection advanced is something that is totally wasted.
    Generally speaking, the game does not stand out in anything, it is not good in history, in its way of playing, in its character characterization, in its setting (except in some parts such as the hospital where Abby enters), etc. But if we have to talk about its end, ellie kills any number of people just so that she feels guilty at the end of the game, it is unfortunate and disappointing.

    Troy Baker voice acting little bit disapointing too. That strained texas accent is too much. I never heard speaking like that in the fist game.
    They over-separated the depressing and the happier parts.
    The overall ending after the two characters met at the ending is lack of atmosphere. Ellie at the farm with Dina and after Dina is so empty... At least Abby give us some emotions.

    If they give us only Abby's story in this game without killing Joel and give her an other motivation to find the Fireflies or at least what was left of it would be much better.
    And atleast we never know about Joel and Ellie and how Druckman ruined them in this game...

    The first game ending is so beautiful... Compare to THIS...

    Great game in all its aspects. In my opinion, the story is good, and its something i've never seen before, leaving me emotionally devastated tbh. The only reason im not giving it a 10/10 is because of some pacing problems in certain points of the story. No, its not as good as the first one, but its an excellent game.

How can the person change from Joel in trailer to another guy in the actual game, just to hide the fact that Joel died way before the game actually started. This is PURE DECEIVING...     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I am changing my review after thinking about this for a while. Originally I gave the game a 7/10...but upon reflection...the game is really problematic.

    ND attempted to tell two stories in one game and really missed the mark on fully telling either. This game should have started off on Abby where we would hear her full story before swapping over to Ellie after Joel's death. Instead, we get to play as Ellie for half the game with no real information about Abby until the last half of the game. ND sold us an Ellie focused game, and then proceeded to make us play as Abby for 10 **** hours. I did a lot of exploring, but holy **** Abby's part was LONG. An hour or two of Abby would have told her story better than what was told in 10 hours. Editing is really important. The game tries to make Abby a character worth feeling something for, but I just wanted to get back to Ellie by the end of it. Getting back to Ellie wasn't even worth it at the end of Abby's story. Why? Because after you hear about Abby...umm...Ellie's story just stops. Legit, that's pretty much the end of the game. This whole concept of a revenge quest...and you barely get a quest for revenge. You get mostly Tommy killing people off screen and Ellie opening gates shooting the **** with Dina.

    Now, let's talk about stuff that really just doesn't make sense or is completely gratuitous...I was pumped to play as Ellie and Abby. I was pumped they stuck with the lore of Ellie being gay. The relationship between Ellie and Dina is beautifully written...but...why the **** is Dina pregnant again? What does this add? All Dina being pregnant does is take your companion out of the game for hours, leaving you with no story or character development because you have no one to talk to. Dina being pregnant really feels like a cheap trick. It feels like they added it because Ellie killing Owen and Nora didn't have enough weight on its own. That scene was just being screamed at "DINA PREGNANT, NORA PREGNANT BAD ELLIE" You can do better than that.

    Abby sex scene...what is the point of this? I totally get the scene between Ellie and Dina. It sets up Ellie for an innocence lost story line. More importantly, it was done tastefully. I am in no way a prude, but Abby's sex scene was the most gratuitous sex scene I have seen added to a game in a LONG **** time.

    Lev...ugh Lev...What a disappointment. I am all for diversity in games. I was kind of excited that they were adding a non-binary character, because the storyline could have been ****in good. BUT...oof, it is hard to say...Lev is basically trans/non-binary...and that's the only thing compelling about the character. Diversity is good when it's done well, but when you make a character gay or trans and that is the ONLY thing present in their character, you end up harming more than you are helping.

    The cult (scars)...The cult feels like ND was so afraid of offending people, they just decided to not develop any story line here. The game makes a choice to not be political, but ends up being both political and boring. I spent so much **** time looking for journal entries and notes in a desperate attempt to find a storyline. I can confirm now that one does not exist. Remember all that cool game footage of fighting scars? Yeah, that's legit all there is in the game. It's like one fight and then they are gone from Ellie's story. The scars are the focus of Abby's story...I searched for a story line there too. The story doesn't exist. You could actually just remove this group from the game and replace them with WLF and you wouldn't even feel a difference.

    The ending...oof. I am ok with Ellie letting Abby go, but...why does Ellie need to lose two fingers? Why does Dina abandon Ellie? The ending really makes the story weaker as a whole, and also takes away any replay value of the game. "It can't all be for nothing" YES IT CAN. This is not an ending worthy of anything close to 10/10. The ending didn't stand up on its own due to failures in storytelling throughout the game. Ellie's loss of her fingers feels like something added as an afterthought to give it more weight than it actually has. The end didn't tie the whole "revenge is bad" thing together, so they just added another cheap trick. They basically shock jocked it. Wtf is with the Dina **** Dina is your ride or die for the entire **** game and when Ellie just wants closure, THAT is where she draws the line? Kill hundreds of people, almost die twice "yeah, bruh we good." Wants closure after years of PTSD "buh bye" WHAT?

    This isn't a masterpiece. This is an unfinished game. Even the saving grace of this game -- the animations -- are unfinished. All that talk of animations...and your stealth kills ARE THE SAME EVERY TIME. It really feels unfinished. To create a game that is bleak is one thing, but to release an unfinished game that has no replay value...oof, I expected better.    … Expand

    Uma jogo excelente em gráficos e narrativa. Um enredo muito corajoso e que causa várias reflexões. Se dividir em episódios de 60 minutos você terá uma excelente série nos moldes da HBO, Hulu, Amazon ou Netflix. Valeu cada centavo investido.

It was such a great game that my stepson loved it when he was 16, the story of this one is heartbreakingly bad. It tries to subvert expectations by pulling a last jedi on the gamer, and it fails, there is no hope, just revenge, sorrow and regret. WHich is also my regret of ever considering to buy this game. This is not a schindlers list of videogaming, this is not even a Last Jedi, a overhyped, overconfident artsy game director wanted leave his mark with this pretencious, slice of life versus SAW, mixed with avocado toast my stepson is heartbroken, he love joel in the first and Ellie was a fun character, now she is just a one note character, which is a shame, btw. i didnt see it much as an lgbt friendly game, it was almost by using them as tokens or scenery, parading the, oh lokk we are so woke, now see this even woker thing, you are surviving in a zombie laden apocalypse!, this is for sure.an expensive mess! The gameplay was excellent and the addition of the prone position and the tall and short grass for cover really added a great stealth dimension to the game that was absent in the first game. The story may be divisive but personally I loved it - I absolutely hated playing as Abby to start with but over time it humanises her character and makes you question Ellie's motives. In the end I was satisfied with how it all played out and felt like it was a fitting end to what was a great story.

    Technically this game is a masterpiece on 7 year old hard ware. The way they engineered the loading times after death in comparison to some other games was welcome. The motion capture and facial expression animations are unrivaled in gaming.    … Expand

There are parts of the game that give you glimpses of the brilliant writing in the first game, primarily in flashback sequences. Sadly these moments are few and far between with most of the writing and character dialogue ranging in quality from bland to head-scratchingly bad. One of the narrative choices in particular left me struggling for motivation to play the rest of the game past the two hour mark. Overall The Last of Us Part II is a decent yet extremely disappointing game when compared to its predecessor.

    Scoring Scale:
    1 - (AWFUL) Among the worst games ever made. The developer should be ashamed.
    2 - (VERY BAD) These games are so bad they're insulting.
    3 - (BAD) Just bad. Game suffers from a wealth of problems in all areas, very few redeeming qualities.
    4 - (MEDIOCRE) A game that has its fair share of serious problems with a few glimmers of quality sprinkled throughout. More than anything it's forgettable.
    5 - (OKAY) For every positive this game has there is just as many negatives. You may be able to find enjoyment in these games however you will likely be met with equal amounts frustration and disappointment.
    6 - (GOOD) There is a decent amount of fun to be had in these games albeit with a few noticeable drawbacks. Worth checking out at some point especially if on sale.
    7 - (GREAT) A game that has some flaws but all in all is a great game worth every penny of its purchase price.
    8 - (AMAZING) Game of the year contender only allowing for some minor flaws.
    9 - (SUPERB) One of if not the best game released that year, truly special.

It was a phenomenal Gameplay and a stunning Storytelling. But Last of Us 2 Just keep the Gameplay, while the Story is pure Trash. After so Long Time they could mit hold their promisses. What a shame

Nobody likes such complex emotions which apparently people have hard time processing nowadays and hard time facing the gray area of human existence, a duality and complexity we all represent. It is realistic and existential and it is damn hard. It cuts close to the bone to an extent that it is not fiction anymore and seem too real. Especially in times like these.

    But i believe it was necessary reminder. Naughty Dog were brave to do it so perfectly nuanced and on point. They did it very well. Public reaction is proof. They did what they wanted to achieve and not without fighting great doubts i believe. That is how true art is born, that is how things change and that is why they should be proud of their achievement even if right now it doesn't feel so rewarding.

    People need time to process.

    I want to believe that after some time The Last of Us II will get recognition as a great piece of art it truly deserves.

The decisions that naughty dog made with tlou2 were brave. It all makes sense if you finished the game. This game is a masterpiece and deserves to be GOTY

The option to craft silencers as well as going prone actually make a huge difference. The animations set the bar for the gaming industry. Gustavo Santaolella has composed the soundtrack so well, it really makes the game experience so damn good. The sound design is amazing and playing with headphones increases the tension of each encounter, I’d highly recommend it. The graphics are some of
    best I’ve ever seen, it truly looks next gen. Now last but not least, the story. The story will definitely polarize players. It has some narrative choices that you may not like but as the story continues, these narrative choices make sense and ultimately work with the game’s theme of hate and the cycle of violence and how it challenges your notion of hero vs villain. In this game there are no heroes or villains, there are just people. The new characters are amazing. I’ll say that the supporting characters in Part II are much better than in the first game. But I’d say the best new character is Abby. The way her plot line was handled could have been executed a bit better. They could have made you play as her first and show her motives before a major event happened. Dina and Ellie’s relationship was amazing and I’d say Joel and Ellie were better but this was still an awesome relationship. The ending will divide everyone but I personally believe it shows redemption in an awesome way. Overall the game does have some flaws such as the way Abby’s plotline was handled but ultimately the game is a masterpiece and I would rate it as one of the best games of this generation. I still can’t decide between it or Red Dead Redemption 2. Thank you to Naughty Dog for blowing me away once again. I would recommend this game, despite all the review bombing and flaws a play through is most definitely worth it.    … Expand

    The story:
    I couldn't asked for a better opening to this game, the first 2 hours into this game were really beautiful, the flashbacks were really touching and such a thoughtful idea from the writers. The transition to 4 years later was epic, i loved how we dive into Ellie's new world, and we get to witness this conversation with her new people, jesse was a good addition to this small journey we had at the beginning, their conversation had some mystery as we get to discover what Ellie is up to as they talk about Dina who we haven't met yet, so the beginning here is something i have enjoyed, I enjoyed the acting so much and their small trip/ then we get to play as a character we don't know, and then I started losing interest, i signed up to play as Ellie and joel for this game not Abby, and if the creators thought we would feel sorry for abby as we play her, they thought wrong, we could have understood her pain through Ellie's perspective, this game could have been about forgiveness!
    I wasn't against the idea of joel's death, but it was brutal, and happened way too soon!
    I loved the company of dina through this revenge journey, very cool idea, what i didn't like is tommy going first!!!
    Then again, neil gave his Ellie unnecessary trauma and pain for nothing, he could have given her a happy ending and end of story i wouldn't be mad right now that he ruined a character i cared about!
    so i hated playing as the enemy, i don't see any philosophy behind this stupid 2 perspectives, and at the end they could have given us the choice of killing her or not!
    plus it was selfish of neil to destroy those characters, there was no open mind for me, and abby was a useless addition, plus anger takes of her when joel is died, so again we were angry and we HATE HER. anyways why Ellie had to lose 2 fingers, isn't this fiction for god's sake?

    Que jogo incrível! Tudo é perfeitamente pensando, roteirizado e dirigido. O melhor jogo da geração e o melhor exclusivo de PlayStation 4. Até hoje não teve uma história tão boa quanto essa. O gráfico do jogo é impecável e a jogabilidade é muito boa, conseguiu evoluir muito a do primeiro jogo. Esse jogo precisa ser jogado por todos que possuem um PlayStation 4.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

    If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
