Здесь полностью противоположная ситуация с оценкой. Я понимаю, что технически и геймплейно это шедевр, но сюжет перечеркивает всё. In an attempt to be deep and prove video games are art they instead made something without any meaning besides shock and subversion.     I can say that I've finished the game and waited about a week for my thoughts to set in. And to be honest, I really liked it. If you look at the majority of the negative reviews from this game, they were posted on June 19th, which is the day it came out. The leaks on their own sound pretty bad, and it does sound like lazy and awful writing, but in the context of the story, I promise you it makes perfect sense. The themes of the game is what make it so incredible, it's ultimately about how characters deal with grief, actually even part 1 was about dealing with grief, so anyone who says this game is untrue to the original, clearly hasn't played the game. Naughty dog take a very bold choice with the story and it really puts you into Ellie's mindset with the feeling of pure hatred, but the genius of it all is when they show you the other side to the story. This is when you start becoming conflicted and you actually start to empathise with people you really think you wouldn't. Personally I prefer the first game, but this wasn't a disappointment at all. The reason it's not a 10 for me is because of some pacing issues towards the middle of the game and I preferred the general story of the first game as that was near perfection. A great sequel from Naughty Dog and looking forward to what they next bring to the table.… Expand

This game gains a lot of controversy and now I understand why. It is not a 10/10 game as the reviewers say, but it is not a 5.6 or a 0 as the users rate it either. The game is definitely flawed and is not as perfect as the first one was. As both a naughty dog and the last of us fan, I waited for very long to play this game. I wanted to see out the story and the perfect cliffhanger the first one ended with. But sadly, by the end I was left confused and frankly not satisfied with the story or the characters.

    It has positives, with which Im gonna start. The gameplay is fantastic. Even though they only added proning, dodging and jumping to the game, it gives the already great gameplay the first one had even more depth and options to have fun with. I found the mechanics great and the weapons good as well. The game is its best when played on survival difficulty since it forces you to use all available resources in any given situation. The graphics are also amazing and breathtaking, the environments and the action sequences are great as you might expect from naughty dog. the sound design is one of the best I have ever been exposed to. Playing this with good quality headset will enhance the experience greatly. And as you might expect from a naughty dog game, it involves and uses your emotions very well.

    But I do regret to say this game has very low lows. The characters and the story are very poor compared to any previous naughty dog game. It felt as though they crumbled by the pressure of the greatness they achieved with the first game. For me, playing half the game as Abby was a huge disappointment. I did not care for her. I did not want to play as the person who killed the character I loved so much from the first game. I found myself rushing through the parts where I had to play as her, both because I thought they werent gonna be as long or as relevant. I did not had any interest at all about who she was, who she liked and disliked and what her background is. I did find some value in understanding what her motivations were for killing Joel, but that did not justify me playing so much as her.

    I bought this game to play as Ellie. It is as simple as that. I wanted to see out her story, I wanted to understand how everything affected her. And even though the game has a very clear message that the past will haunt you, that revange is not always good, and that this girl that you loved lost her innocence, It felt as though they almost completely destroyed all the flawless character development they achieved in the first game. I repeat, I wanted to play as Ellie, and halfway through the game I found out that I would not play as her as much as I wanted to.

    This brings me to how much the writting and the gameplay favored Abby. She gets some of the coolest action sequences and some of the most relevant moments of the story. But the thing is I did not care about her at all. It just felt as grinding for me, just to come back to where the story involves Ellie again. Then, Im left with me still playing as Abby getting to almost kill Ellie even though I did not want to. I found myself letting Abby be killed by Ellie just to get the satisfaction, but the game didnt give me that choice. It just pulled me back to do what I was suppossed to be doing.

    Naughty dog is an expert in story driven games. But this game is too story driven for its own good. It tells the story they want to tell. It doesnt give you any choice in whatever happens in the story, and that is not always bad, but when you were so emotionally invested from playing the first game, it just feels like they are manipulating you into completing the story they want to.

    Overall the game is pretty damn good and it achieves a lot. It is deffinitely one of the best games i played this generation on the ps4, but I was very dissapointed with how it turned out story wise. The characters deserved better, Joel and Ellie deserved better. I did not care for Abby, for anyone she loved, and for anyone she met. It felt as if all the characters in her side of the story were just shoved in there and they expected you to like and undesrtand them. But I didnt, and I doubt anyone did. I played The last of Us and I cared for Joel and Ellie because of that. The sections of the game that have joel and Ellie are some of the best, but they are so few and far between that the game just ruins them.

    So.. I give this game an 8 because I am a naughty dog fan and a The last of us fan,but if I was not i Could have given it a 7 or lower. Gameplay is good, graphics and audio are good, but story, progression and characters are poor, especially after all the hype and expectation the first game caused.    … Expand

De qualquer forma, esse jogo decepcionou de várias formas possíveis. E não é por conta da "lacração", e sim pela maneira que eles pisaram nós nossos sentimentos ao matar o Joel de uma forma tão tosca, que não tem como a gente ficar triste pela morte dele, de tão ridícula que foi. Joel, no primeiro jogo, sempre foi um personagem inteligente que era meticuloso, aí chega no 2, o cara confia em uma mulher que ele nunca vou na vida e morre (WTF????). A maneira que esse jogo foi produzida de uma maneira porca, não está escrita. Não vou dar nota zero pq o jogo tá bonito (pelo menos isso) e a trilha sonora continua agradável. Mas, tirando isso, é um completo fracasso. Agora, com todas essas notas altas do críticos, deixo uma pergunta: quantos de grana lhes foram pagos para dar essas notas absurdas de ridículas? E, caso ninguém fora pago, a pessoa ou o pessoal que jogou e analisou, não possui ou possuem o mínimo de senso crítico.… Expand

    Let's get the bad out of the way first: the story drags on an hour or two longer than it needed to, and sometimes it felt like my deaths were a result of sluggish controls. I could feel the game making an effort to make each scenario different and interesting, but there are a few instances where it feels repetitive. The steady addition of weapons and tools feels a little too slow at times; some of the encounters could probably have been cut and that would speed up both the plot and the power progression nicely. I'd say the pacing is mostly good, but not perfect.

    But now we get to the good, and it's a bit overwhelming. This game's storytelling chops are in an entirely different league than most games; and yeah, the direction it goes is very different than I was hoping and expecting. I agree that the plot could have been better, but we need to judge games by what they are, not by how we would have written them. What's here is executed masterfully, and truly challenges the motivations of YOU, the player. It makes you ask what drives you personally, and what you think about hate, love, revenge, violence, and forgiveness.

    The story is what we are here for, but the gameplay is no slouch. While not on the same level as many 3rd-person action games, it's competent on the surface and surprisingly deep when you start to get creative. The weapon sandbox interacts very nicely with your tools and the environment, allowing for creative plays if you've got the guts and the resources. Gameplay is nothing special to note overall, but it also generally does not detract from the overall experience.

    We all imagined a Part 2 that followed a similar format to the first game, but Naughty Dog wanted to do something different. I still wish we could get that game we imagined, but I'm also happy that this game exists as it is. Well done and bravo to the developers for branching out and trying something infinitely harder. I dare not guess where Part 3 will take us, but I'm excited for the ride.    … Expand

    I don't now why the game received so much hate.
    It's a masterpiece!
    The story is an exceptional journey similar to the early season of Game of Thrones.
    The graphics is gorgeous and the gameplay is visceral!

    i went in to this game with an open mind, not like others hating on the homosexual stuff or Abby's physical, I've seen girls that big!     It's even confirmed by nathan drake s ring found in a vault in seattle that occur in the same universe both tlou and uncharted. But only in tlou counts. But gotta tell u ND nathan drake is a mass murdered who left thousands of daughters and sons without their fathers. Why not make a game where all those neca hunt drake to the grave?

    No... you just gotta do it for tlou. Ok fine. Then if all npcs matter now, why are you repeating same models for npcs throughout tlou2?
    Why? Coz if all kills count all of them should SHOULD be different NPCS and more now with the level of graphics and realism you're applying to this game. That disconnected a lot from what you were trying to say. So it's bad to kill in tlou world because it has consequiences but what about same model npcs that repeat themselves all across the board. And now you use that excuse that for more fun because that's part of the fun in ND games Joel killed an entire hospital full of nocs and that justifies being disrespectful toward a character just for the sake of taking this world too real???

    Come on

    Then your game is based on getting revenge for that beloved character? Ok. That's why I played it then. To see what this thing would be at the end

    But then at the middle of the game you put a stop to play a kojima mgs2 stunt and gives us the fans the playable killer of our beloved icon. And although gameplay is fun, character shows nothing of remorse. For her to imitate joel killing lots of npcs is ok? And what about that? Is she adding awful karma so people will come after her?

    Is this a game of revenge or was it about the pandemic and survival?

    Turns out its revenge now...

    And then at the end ellie never gets hers.
    Not only she is denied of that. But in a burst of rage she is about to kill Abby and she even bites off 2 fingers and in that burst of anger she stops? No one in the real world would...

    Maybe jesus or ghandi or mandela... But never a video game character to which the game wasn't aiming towars forgiveness ever.

    Hey ND I tell u at least u could ve corrected that mistake by ellie not saving abby but not killing either. Knowing she was meeting her end hanged... and that could ve fixed at least the intention. Seeing that not always revenge gets u your goal, but violent people can .eet their end by their own karma and actions.

    I dream of seeing a scene where ellie says to hanged abby: i came to kill u but u are already dead / i won't kill u but i won't save u either u are dead

    And then to put the final nail in the coffin ellie gets severed of her last connection to joel. The guitar. She loses all. Then I wonder


    Joel denied her being mankind s savior but ND denies her the life that Joel gave her once. Because she now has nothing. No joel. No connection. No couple. No famikiy.

    So ellie is more than broken now. Did she deserved that fate as a character? What did she do?

    Are you punishing her ? For what ND? Come on.

    And I didn't even mentioned agendas of stupid sexuality things.
    That is beyond stupid to low a score based on that.

    I just feel betrayed as a fan in this matter.

    You could ve done better by still being grittier and rral.
    But no. For me it's a fail. This game is really no masterpiece. Misery is what u get and really ND don't even think of getting a 3rd part out. U killed ellie . No excuses. That is what killing a character does to fans. Betrayal of icons.

    So for a linear story driven game all I got was something that missed the mark. Giving misery to beloved things just is not the way to go.

    If I could I d erase what I witnessed. But we'll. It was so big my disappointment that I had to come here to publish my personal rate on this game.

    Let's be real - this game deserves props for a few things:

    1) Amazing graphics on aging hardware. Really impressive. 2) Amazing world design and detail. Every room and area is just masterfully crafted. 3) I can't stress this enough --- AMAZING ACTING. The actors truly gave it their all and it shows. 4) Good sound design. ^4 points for these great things about the game. That    Let's be real - this game deserves props for a few things:

    That said....

    As a story-driven game...this game is CRIMINALLY HORRENDOUS, for a few critical reasons:

    1) Gameplay is extremely dated, clunky, and not fun. Stealth is not fun, shooting is not fun, crafting is not fun. This would be forgivable in a story-driven game IF the STORY was good...but...
    2) The story...LOTS of problems with the story:
    A) Disorienting and fractured storytelling. The narrative jumps everywhere, never giving the player even a nanosecond to get their bearings
    B) INSANELY BAD PLOT HOLES. Let me explain. A good story is at times driven by an overarching script (plot-driven moments), and sometimes it is driven by the characters and their motivations (character-driven moments). Sometimes a story HAS to take a specific turn because a certain character MUST COMMIT to some action based on, well, their ESTABLISHED CHARACTER. Alan Moore famously didn't realize that Rorschach HAD to die at the end of Watchmen, because a man like Rorschach would "Never compromise. Never surrender." That is an amazing character-driven moment. Last of Us 2 does not seem to realize that BOTH plot-driven and character-driven moments are ESSENTIAL to a story.

    Without spoilers, characters in this game CONSTANTLY make THE ABSOLUTE OPPOSITE DECISION OF WHAT THEIR ESTABLISHED CHARACTERS AND MOTIVATIONS ARE. It is amateurish writing. The goal of TLOU2's writer was clearly to shock and depress people - that goal in itself is actually fine. Good movies can be depressing and shocking...but if you sacrifice your storytelling ability to make it happen? That's just unprofessional. There are many jarring moments like this in the game that result in the player feeling frustrated and confused, because the characters don't make any internal sense. And if your characters don't make sense...then your story doesn't make sense. Sure, a mad and senseless character can be good (Batman's The Joker), but this isn't that kind of story. The decision-making of the characters in TLOU2 is absolutely baffling and nonsensical. Therefore, sadly, TLOU2's story is baffling and nonsensical.

    This game will go down in history as The Last Jedi / Game of Thrones Final Season of video games. A new Rian Johnson is born.

    It's really sad when a beloved franchise goes down in flames. I can see why people are very upset. Never forget that it is absolutely possible to tell a story YOU want to tell, while still keeping your fans happy. To do so takes professionalism, empathy, and skill...and the writer of TLOU2 did not seem to have those traits at the time of writing.

    RIP Last of Us franchise. You were clubbed to death.    … Expand

    I am just highly dissapointed... The last of us was one of my fav games of all time, I loved characters and great story, but this... I just feel very sad, I would never thought that Naughty Dog will dissapoint me so much. I feel that they only purpose was to shock the player... So they did, but in the worst way possible .

    gameplay is much more better than the first one and the graphics and sound design are top notch.
    For the story it would have never appealed to everyone as it is clear now. most people who played the game and don't like it is actually in denial of what happens and i get it . it is that strong. emotional journey from start to finish. and the set pieces in the game are amazing so so good.
    definitely a game for mature audiences not cry babies who refused to even try the game because either for pity personal reasons or being brainless about it.

    After 7 long years the Gameplay is still the same as TLOU 1, the story did not manage to catch me the same way and the only real improvements to the Game are the better Visuals.

    The game truly did beat my expectations, the story was deep and heart pulling as well as angering and enraging but i loved the ride. Solid game play and stunning graphics . Loved it ! Hope they do a MP

    Turns out that the character most are complaining about (Abby), is actually a pretty incredible well written character. As is most of the cast.

One things for sure, we have seen this movie 100 times now. Once you reach a certain age, you loose ambition for talking points and you hunger for pure new art. This doesn't qualify

    Games as an experience are perfectly welcome, but without proper narrative structure, the experience falls flat.

    Unfortunate. I hope they don't make these mistakes in the future.

    Golden seals for the acting and the visuals of the game. Ashley Johnson as Ellie being the main focus performed flawlessly and deserves the praise. Everyone else, they were fine, no real complaints from the performances.

    The characters of The Last of US Part 2 were much more narrow and unfocused than Part 1. Which really hurt any connection one might develop to them and certain character deaths remain without impact.

    Despite Laura Bailey's incredible work with Abby, the character was simply set up to be despised from the start. And all the attempts to make her understood failed miserable. I again refer to the poor narrative structure that caused this.

    I congratulate the economical success this game is. But, as a player and fan, I am immensely disappointed.    … Expand

I am writing this review about 24 hours after finishing the game and I am still unsure as to how I should be feeling about this, the ending specifically. The game opens a short amount of time after the events of the first, and we play as Joel whilst the opening credits roll. Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson continue their outstanding performances from the first game in the scenes they share together at the start, and throughout the rest of the game.

    I had seen the leaks before beginning my play through and like everyone else, I only felt anger towards this game, but it must, must be played. Those scenes were truly out of context and it is crucial you play through the whole game before hating. You MUST play this, you cannot judge this based on seeing someone else's gameplay, you must play this for yourself.

    Spoilers from here:

    This game breaks my heart - entirely. It is brutal, and I'm still an emotional wreck. Joel saves a new character, Abby, before he is then brutally tortured and murdered by her and her friends, in front of Ellie when she arrives. This creates a lot of anger towards this character, and also confusion. It's difficult to believe after the first game that Joel trusts a stranger, and goes back to their place, instead of going to a secure city roughly the same distance away. So yeah, wasn't exactly pleased with how they killed Joel.

    Throughout the rest of the game, you get flashbacks with Joel, each one just had me see an innocent, great, old guy (very much not innocent), that just made me cry and realise the harshness of his death. When the game makes you play as Abby for hours on end, I wanted to put it down. At this stage, I stopped looking for collectables and just wanted to get back to Ellie. Surprisingly though, I did get somewhat intrigued by Abby's story, and start to feel some sort of care for the character, despite still wanting her dead for what she did to Joel.

    It's the ending that really conflicts me. Abby gets to leave, losing nothing more than Ellie, whilst Ellie loses all of her relationships that mattered to her, and 2 of her fingers, breaking the bridge between her and Joel after his death. She can no longer play the guitar, and it breaks my heart.

    The gameplay, AI, visuals etc are all on another level, and that is where The Last of Us Part II really shines. It is the most stunning game of this generation and is worth it just from the "game" perspective, ignoring your thoughts on the story.

    Overall, I think The Last of Us Part II is a sequel we didn't need, but it's a game that will have an everlasting impact on me. I cannot stop thinking about what this game does, and how it has me so so upset for both Joel and Ellie. It's for that reason, combined with the gameplay I have given this a 10/10 - no other game has ever had me feel like this, and it's an experience you must go through. I will admit that if I could though, I would more accurately rate Part 2 with a 9.8/10 whilst Part 1 would win a 10/10. Part 1 has the better story for me, but Part 2 has everything perfect that a game needs – there are just some decisions with the story that I am not sure I agree with.

    I do prefer the story of the 1st game, and I wish the story could have unfolded differently in this sequel, as in the end the only thing we saw Joel and Ellie actually gain from all this was nothing. They just lost people, themselves, and parts of themselves. I really wish this could have taken a different route, but I can't say this is a bad or mediocre game, it is technically still a masterpiece, I just wish things went differently. That's what's so clever though, the world is cruel and this is a game that makes you realise that.

    I just ask that Naughty Dog clarify the ending (what happened with Dina etc), and maybe make a 3rd game somehow revealing that Joel isn't dead, and a cure is found, allowing for Joel and Ellie to clear out groups of infected and live a life in the normal world as Joel knew it with Sarah. Or, the more likely scenario, is a DLC similar to Left Behind is released, just giving us a lot of time with Joel and Ellie in Jackson similar to the flashbacks we got. I'd just be happy if the whole DLC was 4 hours of cutscenes between the 2 and other characters like Dina and Jesse. Wow has this game moved me. I can't stop thinking about it.

    UPDATE: It has been 2 weeks since my first playthrough and having thought about this game more, it is slowly getting onto the same level as Part 1 for me and it is certainly a game that has to be played. It is a shame most of the user reviews on here are from people who haven’t even given the game a chance and are judging it based on 1 scene, or “experience” they have watching it on YouTube. It HAS to be played.

I mean what were the Devs thinking. This game has Sarkeesian's scent all over it, I'm truly dissapointed.

We are forced to play as the antagonist, who we don't syphitaze with. Abby ordered to kill a **** child for a grafitti. How are supposed to love this kind of person? And we should forget that we played as Joel and Ellie in the first game and just hate them huh? Neil Druckmann (and that **** Anita Sarkeesian) need to go.     Leaving the plot and message aside, this game is more than a worthy sequel to the original TLOU. Technically, it's better in every aspect you could imagine: stunning graphics, probably the best we'll ever get to see on current hardware, beautiful scenery and fantastic level design which opens up so many different possibilities for you to solve the situations you encounter. It's also longer than the original, and I mean that in the best possible way. TLOU2 is remarkably generous. It's packed full of diverse content and unique scenarios which are overflowing with detail.

    If I had to critique one thing I'd say Naughty Dog were a bit lazy with the character progression mechanism. In TLOU2, pills to unlock new character skills and nuts and bolts to upgrade our weapons make a reappearance, which is a bit out of place in such a grounded game where absolutely every single other mechanic and items we use has a purpose and fits perfectly into the world we're playing in and the story the came is unravelling before us.

    I will say no more as I could write pages upon pages about the virtues of this game. If you're looking for a bold, adult, thought-provoking story complemented with solid gameplay and you happen to own a PS4, I cannot recommend this game enough. And if you don't own a PS4, this game is definitely worth the purchase!    … Expand

    Honestly hard to judge a game like this because it had really nice graphics. However if it is just the graphics then go watch a CGI video because this game is suppose to be about great story telling. It is here where they missed the mark. Spoiler free.

Normally I have a few days after release and my video review is done but never have I felt more forced to play. While the character development is lacking so are the environment puzzles played a part of it predecessor. Game mechanics have improved a bit but nothing really innovative that I haven't done in other games over the past years.

    In the end there is one factor that made me post the lower score and that was answering the question. "Was I entertained by this game?" No After you see the improved graphics and slightly improved mechanics in the first 30-60 minutes. It just fails.    … Expand

Gampley tho, Same as Last of us 1 and gameplay in last of us 1 was not very good, only thign that was good about last of us 1 is story, and this time the story is a joke. Pick up only on sale just to see graphics and animations for 10 bucks max

People rated it bad because it deals with sexuality of different characters in a very comprehendible and human way - something they can't do in real life, so of course they would hate the game.     The greatest story ever told in a video game. Thematically and emotionally powerful, the narrative of this sequel alone is enough to warrant a near perfect score, but the gameplay bangs too so a 10/10 it is.

    Probably closer to a 8.5 or 9 but these 0-3s are outright biased BS so I’m doing my part to move it back to a fair score. The games solid, playable, fun, and has an interesting story. At least play it before you give it a 0/10. Please grow up

    Yes, the environment is gorgeous. The character animations are second to none, and the gameplay is as good as the first albeit, not improved in any way.

    Neil Druckmann, you should be ashamed of yourself for this. How can this game receive stellar reviews from critics and such bad ones from users? Shady, under the table deals. That's how.

    Finally playing it again since launch. Still as incredible as I remember. Thanks to the HBO show, I've fallen back into my love for this series

    It breaks my heart to write this, but I really did not expect such a poor story after all these years of waiting. While there were a few genuinely good moments, majority of game filled up with plot holes. It just took elements of what worked for the first game without understanding what made them compelling. It seems like this game was done by other studio, but its not

    I won't be able to finish it. They make you do a thing half way through that I won't put myself through. Not worth it. This game ended with the first one for me. That was a true masterpiece. This is story telling at its absolute worst.

    2nd half I lost all connection with the character Abby and stopped playing - went online to watch the cut-scenes for the 2nd half of the game and the story just got worse - sad ending to a franchise that i really wanted to see succeed and grow to future games. :(    … Expand

    Deeper than the first, refined gameplay, present and fun replay factor and the Graphics are a delight for the eyes. The Last of Us Part II is an incredible game for those who are willing to not only play a great game, but to have an experience unlike anything that has been released in recent years.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
