    This game WILL disappoint you! Words cannot express how much I hate this game. I wish it was never made. It has irredeemably destroyed one of the best franchises of all time in one foul swoop. The only good things about this game are graphics and some of the game play, but over half of this game is story and there are an immense amount of plot holes coupled with the fact that theThis game WILL disappoint you!     This game was a masterpiece and i, think this game is even better than the first game, for me, at least. I got a lot of emotions throughout the story and it was just amazing, i enjoyed it.

    the last of us part 2 is an incredible game that combines spectacular narrative with fluid and fun gameplay. the graphics are also spectacular and the animations are incredible. for sure a masterpiece

    Gameplay and graphics are overwhelmingly well executed. That said, it's also about 95% identical to the first game. The mechanics and the fighting has changed very little Add to that a world already designed once, it's really just following in the footsteps of it's predecessor. This is a good game, standing on the shoulders of a legendary game. My low score is reflected in the fact that the narrative of the game defecates on said giant. It retroactively ruins one of the best games ever made. It's such a bad story, that it is actually pulling down an otherwise great game into the mud. This should've been a new title. The Director should've kept his hands far away from the beloved characters and existing storyline from 13 years ago.    … Expand

    Melhor jogo da história dos games. Um misto de sentimentos. Empatia é isso, você ter a sensibilidade de se colocar no lugar do outro, uma lição para a vida. Realmente, "herói" é uma questão de perspectiva.

    The Last of Us Part II is the best game I have ever played, it has everything: a poignant story, fantastic gameplay, emotional characters. The ones who rated this game with a bad mark, have not played it or a small part. If you’re a real fan, play it.

    I don't know if it's the best game ever, but it's a big, big game. I loved it from beginning to end. Those who criticized almost even before the game came out were ridiculous. I recommend everyone, great job.

В tlou 2 финал для каждого свой, но, обидно больше то, что люди которые его хейтят, почему то не хотят вникнуть в его суть, ведь какой посыл этот финал несёт, честно, для меня это самый правильный финал, каким он и должен быть. Но на месте ND, я бы все же предоставил в конце выбор игроку. Разработчики должны были понимать, что игру воспримут очень по разному, и решение проблемы, как раз дать выбор в финале. Я ставлю 10/10, осознавая какой труд был приложен к созданию этой игры, проработка каждой локации, каждого угла игры, просто аплодирую стоя. Можно было бы снять много баллов за повестку (и было бы правильно!!!!!), но за меня это сделали уже другие пользователи. А так, tlou 2 потрясающая игра с тяжёлым нравственным посылом и с огромным эмоциональным откликом.… Expand

    Great gameplay, and great graphics but the story misses the mark on how the player should feel on 2nd half of the game. But the 2nd half was still got me hooked to go on playing when most of the time I would have stopped.

    Should be a sweet revenge turn out to be a bland "im supposed to avenge myself to you, but i feel sorry and know your feelings so i forgive you" story, cringy, if i had to say
    The music, graphic (mostly cinematic), and ambience art is the only good stuff carried from the game predecessor

    I really liked the game. It's an interesting story that's well written. It looks amazing and the game-play is tighter and more fun than the original. The vitriol the game is receiving is undeserved and laughable. It's amazing how so many people completed the game on the day of it's release only to give it a 0 (It took me 30 hours).
    The game is a little too long however, hence the 9.

    Brilliant game and story that is deliberate in its divisiveness. The anger towards it is representative of the game’s themes of ego, grief and obsession and a lot of people simply aren’t able to come to terms with not getting exactly what they wanted/expected.

Most people that give this game a negative review are people that are upset about Joel dying in the game and lose track of the story the game is trying to tell. It's a complex story about a hard and inhumane world. People die for no reason and people that deserve to die stay alive . But that's life. The game does a great job and showing Ellie's struggle with regret, anger, loss, love and losing and regaining her humanity. Over the course of the game you see Ellie go down a dark path of revenge and losing a part of her humanity along the way. I admit that originally I was upset as playing as Abby. I felt as if I was being forced to like her and justify her murdering Joel. But as I was playing I realised that Abby and Ellie are going through the same struggles and problems. The game isn't trying to tell you what is right or wrong it's telling you that its about perspective and to draw your own conclusions. There are a few slow scene's and moments that bugged me at the time of playing it but looking back to it and still processing everything that happened day's later I've totally forgotten about those moments. This a a game you play for 20 hours and process for another 30… Expand

I love that, i was so emotionally invested that I was stopped in my tracks by the brilliance of it all. The graphics, the game play, the music, the characters... All amazing.

    To all the haters and completely ignorant people out there bashing this game without even playing it
    or you stopped playing it after a certain scene about an hour or 2 into the game I say this... Grow the **** up. You are a gamer and you are not entitled to the story or game that you expect it to be. You get what the studio creates and you either enjoy it or you don't.

    If you do not like the game then don't be a complete fool and join in on the tirade of insults, death threats, racism and disgusting acts of many people on social media. To the people who do join in and send horrible things to people get a ****ing life and go back to playing COD where you can kill all day long and beat one off to the 4 kill streak you got.

    The Last of Us Part II is no masterpiece but to me it was an experience I will not soon forget.

I played through the first one 3 times. This one, I'll never touch again and I honestly regret my purchase. I don't what the ND was thinking. You spend so much of the game playing as someone you really don't care about.     Masterfull game, one of the best I have ever played. The story is not what I expected but it is true to the Last of Us universe, gut wrenching and depressing. The hate to this game is dumb and mostly unfounded, mainly due to what happens early in the game. So far this is the Game of the Year for me.

    incredible. no other developer would have had the guts to do what naughty dog did and they never will. yes they lost a large margin of sales and fans because of many devisive choises. but thats the price for aiming to do sth different and special. was it enjoyable? no. would i change a single thing about it?absolutely not. incredible game. incredible design. incredible acting.

    I bought this day one as I liked the first one. This is even better and I have absolutely no regrets. It is a wonderful game and without doubt would recommend this as a must play. Yes I did read some of the negative reviews and you should just ignore it. I took my time and spend almost 40 hours playing through the game. Also died a lot!

    The story is intense and not always going where you want it to go. This is not a bad thing. I even caught myself yelling at Ellie for making a stupid decision. In the first game we already learned that Ellie is a strong independent girl, now she is a strong young women and so is most of the women you will meet on your journey. They grew up in this harsh and unforgiving world and killing is part of survival.
    Playing different characters was an eye opener to me as it forced me to look at things from a different perspective. It was not always comfortable, but very necessary. Better story than most movies.

Through game system mechanics, AI combatant movement, and detailed care to every major character; they have created a narrative that is utterly immersive and flushed out. The game had to be polarizing- similar to the first game, but it was a journey to understanding character development and storylines unlike any I’ve seen. The death of Joel hits like an absolute punch to the gut and sets the stage for what true character immersion needs to be. Taking over Abby’s story was a challenge, but one that absolutely triumphs- making the player wrestle with who the “Last of Us” truly are. I was a wreck after finishing my first play through and could not imagine the amount of hard work, diligence, and determination Neal Druckmann and the rest of the Naughty Dog team went through to pull this off. Thank you for your work, and I can’t wait for the next emotional rollercoaster that can hit this caliber of creative storytelling.… Expand

Level design, general atmosphere, all these are exceptional. However, I have no idea what happened to the soundtrack. i cant remember a single track. While in the first game it can touch your soul.     I feel like this sequel had to have different writers or something. All of the character development was gone, an overwhelming amount of plot holes, sh*tty writing and execution, and on top of that the game play itself wasn't even as enjoyable as the first. Myself and many others expected so much more from waiting seven years after the first game. Incredibly disappointing.

This game was beautifully detailed and actually quite fun to play, but i, as I'm sure thousands of other fans, came for their story which was a total let down and very forced. I'm so disappointed in Neil Druckmann as all through the promotion it was all Joel and Ellie, there was little to no promotion of any new playable characters. I felt that there should have been another game inbetween this where you play as just Abby, then have this game as the third, minus the choppy time line. I didn't have a problem with Joel dying, however, i felt Joel was used so much in promotion compared to game time that they slightly conned the public, no I don't feel entitled in any way but as a die hard fan, who has invested so much time and money into this franchise, i can't help feel totally let down by this great company.… Expand

    I have to say no game has ever made me FEEL every single thing the characters did.This is a work of art and you arent supposed to like it. You are supposed to feel uncomfortable and scared and alone and devastated and angry. There is no "good guy", there is no "bad guy". It's just people and the consequences of their actions. I both loved and hated every second of it equally.     i personally want to give this game a lower rating because of how upsetting the story is and that you have to play as abby with such boring lifeless characters around you. but the picture of rage fueled revenge is painted out perfectly at the begin. even as upsetting as it was it fits perfectly. playing as adult ellie was an absolute blast. (much better character than anything naughty dog has created and my first game was crash so ive been a long time fan.) gameplay was well done not perfect multiple times as abby i would attempt to walk across a ladder or plank and fall to my death because i somehow missed lol. camera being to close when uderwater so i couldnt see anything. aiming with auto aim snaps you around and aiming without it is not smooth at all but still better. alot of good scares and intense moments in this. magnificent job their. now if you are not a very story oriented player or expecting a magnificent story or did not play the first game then this game will be great. go ahead and give it a try.

    the only real issue with the overall story being bad is in the final fight. nothing get accomplished!?!? she bits off ellies fingers which is an emotional low blow considering the trailer for how long was ellie playing the guitar and joel promises and does teach her to play guitar. i assume thats what your going for but she just up and decides to let abby live. for what reason, what explanation fits. its like you said "she didnt killer her she cried, went home lost everything, even two finger. the end" and slammed the book shut.

    the reason the hate about this game is so high because you did such a good job on abby as a bad guy beating joel to death. that we all hate her. you then try to make us like her and play as her. the wolves characters besides owen stink. she never even shows remorse for beating him to death. never shows understanding of ellie being like a daughter to him and he didnt want to lose her. he wasnt in the right but anyone can understand that. the ending is very emotional its rough but the problem is that it doesnt make sense, its sad, and its unfulfilling.    … Expand

    I don't get the hate the game gets for the "SJW agenda" stuff. Is the main Charakter lesbian? Yes. Is the main antagonist a muscular women? Yes. I just don't get why that is a problem. Do all you haters really want the same Standard male hero male antagonist story for the rest of your life? Well for me this game is a Masterpiece.

    That is how hate groups of any kind form in society. Because of human bias and their inability to see and understand a different POV... truly unbiased.

    "Revenge is bad" is not the plot of the story. It's not that simple. It's not trying to tell anyone what is bad or good. It's about the relativity of morality. It's about human bias. It's about reality. It's about cause and effect.

    This game would've had an almost perfect score if it wasn't for the same release day review bombing by people who never even played it. You can tell by looking at its PSN score (which only allows rating from people who actually purchased the game) and the fact that metacritic rating went up considerably from 3.1 (by people who actually played it).

    Play the game for yourself. If you think it's bad, talk to someone who doesn't. I really hope more people get to enjoy this game because it's an absolute masterpiece and an absolute joy once you truly understand and see what's going on. I've been a gamer for over 20 years and this game right here is easily my most favorite game of all time. (RDR2 comes second)

    1. tomy hubiera rescatado a Abby en vez de joel. 2.Joel jamás hubiera dicho su nombre; alcabo Abby ya sabía quien era y no se iba a evitar la venganza.
    3. Hubiera tomado por sorpresa a sus amigos el disparo que le hizo Abby a Joel cuestionándole porque lo hizo y ahí mismo revelando que a la persona que le disparó fue Joel miller. En eso ya dejar que pase lo qué pasó: esto es para que no existiera “hates” sobre: (Joel era precavido y desconfiando, Joel jamás decía su nombre, Joel nunca se quedaba desarmado). Bueno, el juego TLU 2, tiene un gameplay expectacular, unas mecanicas que impresionan, unos graficos dignos de años de trabajo, pero una historia y guion fatales, no han pasado ni dos horas de peli-juego (y si puesto que son 5 minutos de cinematica por 10-15 de juego), y ya cansa y agita al expectador de tanta mamada que quieren dar, la muerte de joel es un punto clave para el desarrollo del juego, pues sin esta el resto no tiene sentido alguno, pero luego que tenemos, personajes forzados a que uno tenga que empatizar con ellos y no es por ser homofobico ni esas mamadas, pero haber, te fuerzan a querer algo, que si esta o no, en nada afecta a la jugabilidad si elie es lesbiana pues esta bien, pela, yo quiero un juego donde tenga que sobrevivir y explorar , pero ¿qué te dan? eso con esa historia que dises puaj, que mierda estoy jugando y mata todo lo bueno del juego, es sierto es un buen juego por lo que mencione al incio, pero en estos juegos no es posibible jugar sin que la histroria este presente, no es como un fornite o un call of duty, que pueden tener buenos gameplay, y si ves o no la historia pela, pero en este caso no, porque la base del juego es su historia, hace años cuando salio el primer TLu lo que a muchos nos encanto fue su historia, el ver como los personajes ivan creciendo y desarrollandose de a poco, con un buen game play y mecanicas, pero ahora nos dan esta mierda de guion y de historia y se cagan, litermaemnte en el juego, es un buen juego, inetntentan ser inlcuisivos pero,no de la manera correcta, sino como peliculas que han fracasado , lo quieren meter a la fuerza, y asi ni la ropa entra. I really hate giving this game a 6 because I loved the original last of us and was faithful that Naughty Dog would make a game prob won't be better than the original but at least create a great game that served the characters justice and concluded their stories but this game does not do this. For half the game you play as Ellie and that half of the game was so **** fun and cool, If I had to rate the Ellie section of the game it would be a 9 out of 10 but there are some problems I have with this half.

    1 is Joel's death. I get that they had to kill off Joel but they killed him off too early and the most disrespectful way possible. I don't care how real to life you want this game to feel, you don't kill off such a beloved character with a **** golf club. what makes his death worse is the back story when you find out Ellie never forgave Joel for saving her at the hospital. then Ellie distanced herself from him makes his death much worse. I also didn't feel that his character was properly concluded, I always had that feeling while playing the game that his arc was not finished as well. I wish they had more description as to what happened after the hospital.

    2. Jesse's death. there isn't that much to talk about I just don't see the point in him dying and the way they executed it was terrible. other than that I feel the gameplay, Music, and story was amazing. I felt that they really did a good job with Ellie's half.

    With Abby's half of the game, however, I did not enjoy too much. the first half was pretty **** in my opinion the gameplay was still fun but the story not as much because nothing too interesting happened. coming towards the end half I started to really enjoyed it but still feel it would have just been better playing as Ellie for the 25 hours. the worst part of this section was when you have to fight Ellie at the end. I think that was stupid but to make it worse Ellie loses the fight, I would rather play as Ellie and still lose the fight. It would be like at the end of uncharted 4 when you have a sword fight with Rafe they make you play as Rafe and Nathan Drake loses the fight.

    the ending of this game in opinion sucked. Dina leaves you. The backstory tells us that Ellie never got a chance to truly forgive Joel before he died. the characters never felt concluded for Ellie, Dina and Tommy's characters

    I can't complain about the gameplay even for Abby's part because that is fun but I still wish that half of the gameplay never happened. The story was good for the first half but its characters never felt concluded and leaves me with more questions rather than answers to each character arc. where did Dina go? What happened to Tommy?.     The characters are detestable, they fail to create empathy for anyone except tommy. The climax is anticlimactic and makes no sense. For me this game is an astronomical trash. Graphically it is good, the soundtrack is good, the gameplay is good, but the stage design and the distribution of elements in it is horrible.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Just incredible. The gameplay is improved over the first game in every conceivable way. Stealth is difficult but rewarding. Guns are varied and customisable. Hand to hand combat is more involved and manages to replace most QTEs with something that feels more like gameplay.

    The graphics are out of this world. I was wondering whether I needed to wait for the PS5 for the game to look good enough, but the PS4 looks every bit as good as the E3 trailers, just with lower resolution, some aliasing and dithering artifacts, and some slightly nauseating effect while panning the camera quickly (temporal upsampling artifacts maybe?). Still worth it for the amazing detail on characters and environments.

    The story has upset some people (spoiler time) but I liked it. The game feels like a hopeless cycle of murder and revenge, but doesn't feel repetitive by the end. It was always building towards something, but not quite what I wanted. (Full spoilers time) Abby is a better person than Ellie and I kind of wish Abby had killed her. I cared about Abby and her friends, I cared about Dina and Jesse. I understood where Ellie was coming from.

    I empathized with all of them (especially Yara and Lev). I chose my side, you can choose yours, but Naughty Dog's portrayal of humans doing human things is top notch.    … Expand

The story, while well done, slacked in some areas. I felt some characters weren’t as fleshed out as I would have liked. Dina and Jessie were good examples of character I wanted to love, but didn’t. I wish they had more screen time if possible had more personal conversations with Ellie throughout the game. Besides that, the story was wonderful. Although I started to hate it midway through, I understood the importance of it and it honestly made my play more emotional. I found myself rooting for and against Ellie at points. And I feel the ending is a great example of character development and how much a character is aware of their own actions and the consequences would follow. Overall I can’t wait to play it again for the 3rd time.… Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
