It is fun for what it is, a dark slaughterfest grind. The exploration elements are mostly gone after the first half. Unfortunately it falls flat in story and it falls hard. Since it is designed to be an intense narrative driven experience it will only get a 1 out of 10 from me. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is one that really comes for you and it comes for you hard. Let me first start off with the great. Visuals, soundtrack, lore, tactics and the ever changing mission and level even though must of the game is set in the same place are all on point and above expectations.

I knock off a half point because of some minor technical issues with the initial release that seem to have been corrected upon a few patches. Nothing major just some slight shifts in lighting that briefly pull you out of the experience and some random hit box type issue with the environment.

But let's be honest here. We're all here for the story of this game. This game loses a half point here for me due to unfortunate circumstances that this game is not only incredibly bleak but it comes as one of the bleakest times in the world around me and in my own life. I found myself struggling emotionally and had to step away from the game after a couple hours to just decompress.

I love the dual narrative aspect of the game, re-living the same points in time from two different perspectives. I love how the two main protagonists share that same duality in their respective missions and how we get a different taste of the first game.

Now, I think a lot of people dislike this store for reasons that well are silly and therefore shouldn't be taken seriously. However there are valid criticisms of the story. I do see this as a logical step for the characters but I don't know that it's necessary, again due to the bleak times. We see Ellie loose everything and then some. We see beloved characters killed for no good reason. We see people broken by revenge and how it takes everything from them.

What we're left with is an engaging, hard hitting story involving north of two dozen lives and are confronted with what happens when we don't let things go that we should. When we have everything we want out of life, except that one thing, and we give up the rest of our world for it.

I think this game is a great commentary on loss, revenge, found family, friendship and ultimately sacrifice. If only serenity could be granted to some, all would have been better off for it.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This piss poor game was so unsatisfying and was a drag to play. The way they put an end to Joel even though he was the main protagonist on the first title was such a disservice to that character and its fans, especially so early on in the game which made his death more of a plot device than anything else. Elly looks and sounds dead. She’s not the same character who I loved in the first title. This game consists of subpar writing and lines with major plot holes. Multiple scenes that are a cringe-fest and it’s dragged out story. It’s like the writers didn't know when to end the game. At a certain point I wasn’t even having fun anymore, I just wanted it to end. But it didn’t. To top it off you get forced to play Abby just to see her pov in an attempt to humanize that character but demonize Elly even more. She had little to no character development for me to even want to sympathize with her. I find it quite ironic that Abby goes out to kill ‘scars’ but as soon as a couple saves her, she has a change of heart to help them almost instantaneously. But when Joel and Tommy save her, the game decides to torture Joel and end his life with a golf club. This was a horrible game. These ‘top critics’ are lying out of their teeth and there is no ambition in criticism/journalism anymore because they probably get paid to put on a front that this game is as good as they’re describing it. Naughty Dogs and Neil Whateverman can keep their third title if they ever plan on making one because this disaster of a game with it’s repetitive missions lost me as a fan. I’m going to slowly remove the sequel out of my head and act like it never came out. BAD. End of review. Expand

Naughty Dog’s story may be unlikable to many, but it’s a necessary and emotional one. If you enjoyed Part II’s predecessor, you really have to play this game. The fact that the game is as polarizing as it is has to speak volumes about its contents. If you have the money and you’re interested in, as Ellie says, “see(ing) what all the fuss is about”, then get the game. Don’t let the reviews influence you if you’re conflicted. Even though the game has some narrative problems, I don’t think it’s enough to detonate. Remembering I’m not a fanboy, but I have to recognize that the game is wonderful. There is no point in watching videos or lives, as you will not be as immersed as you are playing, because your attention and emotion is a thousand times better. I have a friend who is an xbox fanboy, and he detonated the game, saying it was this and that. But if he had played the story it would be different. For in other respects, other than the somewhat problematic story that in the end is good, even controlling the villain who killed an important character, the game is impeccable and deserves your attention and a chance! This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Naughty dog got as heavy on the story as 1 or 2, the strong point for me are the characters, extremely well scared, it seems that there is real life, and a courage that had to kill the main character was incredible. They killed or Joel in a dry, cruel way and would even say cowardly, but with a purpose: to make people feel and with revenge on their skin, just like Ellie felt, something that is due to Dina who does not cause the same impact, not criteria for the same drama and it would just be another game with the theme of revenge. In such an end of the world, death is a horror, ugly and raw, I was even waiting for some words like "I love you", "take care" in the deaths of certain characters as fantasy, but no, it was dry, it was de suddenly and I cause very strong emotions. As for example, in Jesse's death, before opening a door he was alive after opening a floor like a potato sack, without saying a word, and that's exactly what happens in the world, nothing fancy for 5 minutes to redeem etc., then death. In addition to revenge, the game talks about empathy, something that many people do not feel, did the other side of the coin, so it was amazing to play with an abby, although I still prefer Ellie. The genius of the end was incredible, or the emptiness in which abby and Ellie fight, symbolizing how they feel about the whole story, abby had her goal completed, Ellie did not, but nothing else was left to her since she saw everything that was not there. Joel back and still had Jesse and the Star. The boats too, or the abby's boat turned to the sea to move on, and Ellie's boat towards the land, the abby has already done his revenge, lost people too but the goal was completed and he became a better person and he was ready to move on, already at Ellie, continuing the story of revenge. I love Ellie's ending very much, the biggest fear was being alone and unfortunately it was, in my head I hope you went to Jackson and reconciled with Dina. Tommy, a guy who has weights on his back, but was also being a better person again, became obsessed with revenge too (the loss of his eye symbolizes being blinded by revenge) and had problems with Maria, something that I think ended after the death of his father, who broke up with Owen.

The game is incredible, I never felt anything like it, but some things spoil the presence of some bugs, but they don't interfere much in the gameplay, and frustrations with the listening mode, as they sometimes don't catch or affect them, are being exhibited.

Unlike the first game there are no silver linings throughout the story that greatly contributed to the enjoyment of the original Last of Us, as it also carried a lot of weight. There's little to no feel good moments past the first hour or so of the game; all melancholic or upsetting. Killing a beloved character a couple ours into the game was just awful story telling and for a reason that doesn’t make sense to Joel’s character and then for an ending that doesn’t fit the story. Gameplay reminds me of how Mafia 3 feels where gameplan becomes repetitive and boring. Visuals were amazing but that’s about the only complement I have for it. Wouldn’t recommend. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is the perfect example, why you have to play a game by yourself. The Last Us Part II is a pretty spectacular Game with a lot of strengths and some flaws. Lets talk about the things I really like about TLOU Part II.

    Strength
    - Visuals and Realism
    - Sound
    - Gameplay
    - Lore

It looks/sounds and feels so good to play this. It was me an absolute honor. Thank you for the most beautiful and realistic game out there. The overall gameplay, on higher difficulty's is flawless, this mix of hiding, fighting, surprise attacks, silent kills, and gunaction feels so smooth and clean. From a gameplay perspective this is, for me, even better than Uncharted 4. But I'd say it is not as good as games like Sekiro, God of War or Dark Souls 3. But for a 3rd Person Shooter it is probably the best I've ever played. One big plus is also the way of telling a story through the world itself. It could be more divers, with a lot of Notes you find, but it always felt like this world is realistic and alive. and there is a lot happening that you didn't see.

Overall a fun, awesome looking Triple AAA title.

    Flaws

Well, it is a hard part for Neil Druckman and the people at naughty dog. I think the story is pretty solid and I was not annoyed by Abby. However, the review bombing comes from a perspective of people who didn't want to see any other story, than the story of Ellie and Joel. And this people are **** up, because as a fan of them you're pretty disappointed with this one. I love both of these characters and I have to say it hurts, but i still can appreciate what Naughty Dog tried here and I really liked the way they are trying to show how hard this world and the decisions can be. They really try to ask what is the right and wrong of the First Part. It was a hard question after Part I and it still is. Playing Abby for such a long time, surprised me first, but I was ok with it after the first 2 hours. The story shows us how Ellie looses herself, because she lost Joel. There are parts in this game, giving me Goosebumps, like the scene in the Natural History Museum.
But after the End this game couldn't touch me as the first part, because Ellie distanced herself so hard from me. And Abbys Story feels a bit forced and is basically Joel's Story of Part I. Which still is great performed and written. But I didn't liked both sides in here and that makes me feel a bit off.

This didn't change the fact I had a lot of fun with this one and Naughty Dog is still a outstanding game company.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game has the best graphics and lighting/shade effects I have ever seen on a console. The story is fantastic, the game play is extremely immersive, and there are numerous jump scares throughout the game. I can absolutely not understand why anyone is panning this game with a 0 or 1 review. It truly defies logic. As I get older I have noticed that games have a harder time capturing my attention than they did when I was a kid. I have spent $60 numerous times on games that I have literally put down within the first half hour of game play. The Last of Us Part II has captured my attention and I am throughly engrossed in the story. The voice acting is great, the game is challenging but balanced. If I had any issues there is a long playable flashback sequence that could have seen shortened a bit (however I did note that it was pretty well done). This game is certain to be a finalist for game of the year and is another incredible Sony exclusive. As I stated earlier, with my limited attention I normally don’t care for a lot of cut scenes, but I find these to be so well done that I don’t have any issues with them. They have all contributed to the story line. This is about as close I have seen to a gaming experience blurring the lines between a cinematic experience and a video game. I haven’t reviewed a game in a very long time, but I felt compelled after seeing people flaming on it in the user reviews. I would hope the poor reviews aren’t because of the sexuality of one of the main characters? Or because the Last of Us II offers up a Game of Thrones-like rip out your heart moment early in the game. If you liked the Uncharted Series or Tomb Raider games I think you will thoroughly enjoy this adventure. It has influences from both, with a story that pays homage to The Walking Dead television series along with some of the stealth type gameplay elements of Metal Gear or Splinter Cell. If you are offended by a lesbian main character or if you will be disappointed that Joel from the “Last of Us” is not the star of the game don’t get it. If you want to play a game that will have you talking about where you would rank it on your all-time favorites list... well then, this one is for you. If I have one complaint it’s that sometimes after a battle you use a med pack just to realize moments later that there is going to be a cut scene and you are going to have your health replenished automatically. This game is truly a masterpiece. The convergence of the main characters through a very ambitious story line has never been done in a game before. It has elements of the movie Pulp Fiction in this respect. The AI is amazing as enemies deviate on their routes when you have replayed a scene several times you will notice. Sometimes they repeat, but it is not a given. I can’t exude enough praise on this title. It is a must own and would find itself firmly placed near the top of my all-time favorites. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Firstly, game aside, I'm glad that ND went to such lengths to hide the plot, quash the leaks and even deceive fans re playable character's, Joel's involvement etc. Having waited so long for this game, it was far preferable, immersive and more impactful to play through naively blind!

The visuals and game mechanics in this game are stunning. Not to mention the music. ND have created a world that is beautiful to move through and, whilst the controls for performing actions are simple, the mechanics of performing certain actions (i.e. glass smashing) are really satisfying. The open-world of Downtown Seattle was a brilliant section to play through and gradually build up to more difficult sections later in the game.

Pacing-wise, it is slower than the first game and obviously much longer. However, by THE halfway point I was nowhere near ready for the game to be over. That being said, I found Abby's arc to be a bit too drawn out, with one too many visits to and from the aquarium. Whilst the encounters on the island with Lev are excellent, I don't feel as though the sections' inclusion added a great deal to the overall narrative.

In terms of the overall narrative, for me, ND accomplished what they set out to achieve. They took a character who you are supposed to despise, and they lead you to empathise with her story (in addition to taking a character you love and then questioning her actions). By the end of the game I didn't want either protagonist to be killed. And I didn't feel 'tricked' or 'coerced' into feeling that way, it was organic.

The game is obviously dark and there is a lot of sadness, but there are also lighter moments, often experienced through flashbacks. You get way more moments akin to the 'giraffe' scene from Part 1.

Overall, I admire the risks that have been taken in making this game as it is, and the fact that it is generating polarising reviews is, in a sense, a measure of its success. If you can play it with an open mind, engage with the decisions that are made on your behalf and try to understand the emotions of the characters then you'll find the game - if not the story - very fulfilling.

Could there be a Part 3 centring on the theme of redemption? Ellie battling her demons and ultimately seeking out Abby and the Fireflies to give herself up for a cure to be developed? I hope so. I'd also love a DLC where you play through the same 3 days from Tommy's perspective...

    Other likes:
    - The stories within the story, e.g. Boris the Bowhunter, that you discover through finding artefacts and notes.
    - The parallels with Part 1, e.g. David vs. Ellie and the first Abby vs. Ellie encounter. Also the interrogation techniques used by Tommy and Ellie, copying the methods of Joel in Part 1.
    - The anxiety you have of playing through for the first time. Creeping and sneaking through sections that don't end up having any enemies!

    Would have liked:
    - Ellie to put the sniping skills that she learned into practise.
    - Isaac to have been used more as an antagonist. You learn loads about him through notes during the first half of the game, but then he rarely appears and disappears quite anticlimactic. More emphasis on gim and his torturing of others might have helped the narrative flow in terms of Abby turning her back on the WLF.

    Questions:
    - If I get Ellie to leave a trap mine on the theatre fire escape, will Abby and Lev see it when they sneak in later?
    - If I run through the infected section that Abby plays through twice, will they still be there to attack the Scars on the return leg?

Visuals & gameplay is great, but can't stand the abysmal storywriting & joyless character arcs. Much like StarWars8 - established characters are underdeveloped and behave out of character to try 'shock&awe' but just feels hollow, whilst focusing on new characters that lack any charm or charisma. Just ruins the playing experience despite the solid gameplay

Truly the greatest game ever made. The story is brutal and unforgiving and requires an open mind. If you come into the game wanting a rerun of TLOU1 then you're going to have a bad time and get angry. Ignore the haters, avoid the spoilers, roll with the story.

First off, my english is not perfect so sorry in advance, and sorry for the long post, not good at writing either.

A highly anticipated game for so many years by so many people. Including me.

First off, we all have seen the trailers. It was hyping us all up for the sequel. Looking back now i see how they have lied and falsely markedet this game. Should be illegal.

The story is decent, not good but decent. And by that i mean the plot is understandable. But it is not okay for this game. As the first game was my favorite game of all time. The sequel just takes a huge pile of **** and throws it all over you and spits on you. Thats how it feels. For the story is where this game fails. I must say credit where credits due. The game mechanics in this game is very much improved from the first installement. Its fluid and feel really good, but thats all there is of good things i have to say about this game.

Years and years of waiting and anticipating this game. We get it, now i wanna be reasonable when reviewing this game. But i can’t be reasonable with how this game is.

    SPOILERS

How can someone in their right mind decide it was a good idea to kill a such beloved charachter like Joel in such a disrespectful way. And topping it off make us play half the game as the person who killed your most loved character in a video game. It baffels me. You want us to feel for this Abby? No way. How you can write a masterpiece of a game, and follow up with this disaster.

You might feel at times the real Naughty Dog is held at gunpoint after you complete the game. Like this aint Naughty Dog.

Story arc is utterly delusional. Characters make choices they wouldn’t, because a new 4head ran this guano show. He even inserted himself in the game just to have a sex scene with his new muhqueen. Jon snow still knows nothing. We’re forced to play a character only a small minority will relate too, for ideological reasons not her/him/it’s mental state. If a character is well written and enthralled by an engaging story everyone will relate to them. Pure pandering, welcome to 2020 folks. It’s sad to see such a beloved IP brought so low just for ideological purposes .

Not to mention that nothing was even mentioned in the first one about gender transition or anything, but the second games comes out, and is pretty much all about gender transition? In the apocalypse? Its just so fkin unbelievable that its ridiculous. You would have to be such a moron to buy this story. Because trust me, when your worried about eating, and being eatin, transitioning your gender is going to be the last thing on your mind..

The only thing I have a problem with is horrible writing/stories with absolutely no logic or fore-thought put into it/them.

And its so funny to see all the fake reviews from the developers, with multiple accounts, and you can totally tell which ones they are because they just have 1 fully positive review for this game lol. That should be illegal.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A let down after 7 years of waiting.

The first game is probably my favourite game of all time and this is coming from a PC gamer. The story of the first brings out the emotions that i thought i never had inside of me. The second came and I stayed away from all the leaks and news so that I can go in with a fresh set of mind and within the first hour of playing, i wish i had just look at the leaks in the first place. There are good things in this game: music is good, sound is better than the first, graphic and environment is breathtaking... But that is what you would expect after 7 years of development, , gameplay is fine, not terrible but not amazing neither, dialogue is poorly written, almost every interactions between characters are corny and cringe, but the core of the problem of this game is the story. There are three major things that ruin the game: Joel's death, Abby and the ending. First of all, I don't mind killing an important character like Joel, but the way that the developers did it was purely for shock value and after playing through the whole game and reach the ending, makes you realized that Joel's death is extremely pointless. Next is the elephant in the room, Abby. No, its not about how she look, is how she was written and introduced. We know nothing about this woman before and when we play as her and after finishing her playthrough we still know nothing about her. She was introduced and 20 minutes later, she killed the most important character of the franchise, and it does not help when straight after she killed the characters you love does you get to know about her justification and why she is doing the thing she is doing. Also her justification is pure cliche and it is clear as daylight that the devs tried so hard to make us like Abby by degrading Ellie. There is so much thing wrong with Abby that you can goes on for days discussing it. Finally is the ending. The devs tries to tell us that killing and revenging is bad, Ellie is a terrible person and Abby deserve to live. Then explain the hundreds of people that they both killed just to get to that point and I just can't understand the thinking process of degrading Ellie like that. She does nothing wrong to deserve any of this Abby and in the end she has to live with her fear. The story is a shotgun blast to the knee and a golf club to the head to any people who is passionate about the first game. This is already a terrible year and somehow Naughty Dogs made it worse by lying to us and mistreating us multiple times just to cover up their own mistakes. I'm disenchanted and I'm sure everyone feel the same way.

Threw the baby out with the bathwater in an attempt to be edgy and give Ellie a reason to go out into the world. There were so many better storyline that could have been used. It was like an old 70s rape drama where the significant other is brutalised just to get the hero to go on a revenge quest. Lazy lazy storyline and disrespectful of the special place these characters had in the fans hearts. It wasn't even done well. Just brutal and slightly sordid with no real meaning to the death, as even at the end it never means anything... its given no depth of context, just a cursory surface level back story.... that would have resulted in Abby killing him, but not the torture that ensured. Then the m Muddled swapping from Ellie to Abby left it hard to build the same level of investment in the characters that we had last time. When we get to a point that we have to play through us as the gamer beating Ellie, it lost it for me. So many interesting possibilities never explored, such as the scars Expand

I'll preface by saying I was never a huge fan of the original Last if US game. It was an 8/10 for me mainly because while it's seeing felt fresh, the story beats felt too similar to other pieces of media that came out before it especially Telltale's The Walking Dead. It was a decent game but not really for me. So having said that I went into Last of Us Pt. 2 with a lower attachment to the original cast. I liked Joel as a protagonist but he was definitely a flawed individual and his selfish decision at the end influenced by past trauma of losing his daughter made him far more relatable as a character.
The last of Us Pt. 2 started us out with familiar characters but I couldn't bring myself to like them. Ellie was extremely unlikable with few enjoyable or redeeming features. I actually found myself engaging with tge new cast, and especially the other playable character significantly more though that story line had absolutely horrible pacing. When everything was coming together at the end the game went from pretty good to me, to very disappointing. Combine that with how bleak and joyless the journey was and this is not a game I'll ever play again. I don't think it's the worst game ever but it's definitely not one I'd really recommend personally.

It’s straddles the gray middle between black and white and forces you to be incredibly introspective on how the themes fest with in the game unfold It’s also a technical masterpiece, gameplay is very similar to the first one but enhanced a bit, it actually becomes very addictive. New additions like land mines and pipe bongs makes killing genuinely fun. The graphics are probably the best we will see from any console game for many years. I can’t get enough, every set is a masterpiece with so much detail it almost becomes hypnotic to look at.

The last of us part II again subverts the expectations of what a lead protagonist should be. While we feel genuine hatred for Abby after she so barbarically kills Joel it creates the same anger that Ellie feels within the player. Watching that scene unfold I felt the same anger and sadness as Ellie and rarely can a game illicit such a response. The last of us part 2 does a great job at posing a real question to the player. Can the love for someone out way the things they have done? And should they not be accountable for their actions? Joel systematically continued the end of the world by eliminating the only doctor that could have created a cure. Thus plunging the world into eternal chaos. Just because his intentions were not to lose another daughter can we really as rational thinking people not expect that decision to catch up with him? It should have and it did. Now when the shift to Abby arrives we again are posed another question. Who exactly is the villain here? We see Abbys trauma almost mimic Ellie’s. Loss of a father that fuels a blinding hatred. I think it’s quite poignant to point out Neil Druckmanns Israeli heritage, not to attack but as a backdrop for the themes of this game. I am a British born Palestinian and my life has continuous been filled with a parental given hatred for a people I know nothing about. I think the whole theme of the cyclical nature of revenge and violence are very real problems the world faces today. Inability to forgive and move past trauma. Naughty dog have really hammered home the idea that everyone is a villain in someone else’s story. Abby the villain in Ellie’s story. Joel the villain of Abby story. Ellie the villain in the stories of Nora, Mel and Owen. And in the world of the last of us that fits beautifully. It’s the post apocalypse and there are no good people any more. Just varying shades of grey. I praise this game not because the story was amazing. But because it dared to do something more. Challenge my preconceptions and opinions uand art that makes you think that deep is never going to be bad a thing. Growth is everything. Forgiveness is all.

Only a true piece of art could destroy you emotionally like this game does. Well done ND, well done.

Uno de los MEJORES putos juegos de la historia. Los que dieron baja calificación sólo por la muerte de Joel, O no lo jugaron o de a tiro están bien pendejos y no tienen capacidad de Análisis

I really wanted to like this game. I knew the spoilers but bought it anyway bec I wanted to give it a fair chance. Story is terrible. After finishing the 1st one for the 3rd time an playing this I’m scratching my head. Joel acts like a big dumb goof compared to the first game. Add on that Abby who’s arms are so ripped I couldn’t stop looking at them. Controls are cluncky, pacing is slowI really wanted to like this game. Controls are cluncky, pacing is slow and boring, and the graphics are meh a lot of the times (except for the character models) I had to force myself to finish it bec it’s just not any fun... The game could have been something special but no. Good ol ND and Neil Druckman crapped all over it. Lost all faith in Naighty dog. I been w y’all since the first crash bandicoot game back in 96. Can't believe that i waited 7 years for this game, it's not just the fact that the rhythm of the plot make no sense at all, or the poor evolution of the characters, this game feels completely artificial, tries to be interesting with political stuff and moral lessons, but it fails miserably for being pretentious.
I really not recommend any one to buy it, just wait till it cost 10$ or till

I really not recommend any one to buy it, just wait till it cost 10$ or till playstation plus give it for free, because this game doesn't deserve neither your money or time.
I give it a 1 for the excellent art design, but sadly that isn't capable of make the game worth the money.

OK game, I bought the ps4 pro limited Edition with game. The game play movement is hit and miss and why put political points in? Its a game so u can get out of this world for a little bit of time. Games should not do this.

Best game I've played in years. This game was the first game that I was excited to actually play in years. My childhood was relived while playing this game.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. For me this game is as said by a lot of people a masterpiece . This game is not that bad as everyone tells it's just that people don't want to understand it . Gameplay mechanics , Graphics even the story were good . The story was emotional mainly the part with Joel . After his death even I had low expectations but as story goes I started to like the new and old characters . I liked the part with Ellie going on revenge after Abby , but instead of killing her she kills her friends (only Lev and Abby survive) . As I started playing as Abby a lot of things were revealed about her and I think she had some kind of redemption arc going on which I really liked . The Ending was bit disappointing maybe if they gave people the ability to choose it might have been better . But the best thing or the thing I liked the most were the flashbacks with Joel mainly the one with Ellie's birthday. I already achieved the Platinum trophy so for me I would say the game is underated and people just hate it because of Joel's death but they haven't even tried the game or didn't have it a chance . For me it should be the Game of the Year . Expand

I'll admit that part of my low score is out of spite. I don't appreciate Naught Dog's illegal copyright striking of videos, memes, and posts that fall under Fair Use. But this is genuinely not a very good game. The story is one of the bleakest this side of the cosmic horror genre, and Abby is one of the least likable protagonists in recent memory. What a piece of &^£*&^$. If you liked TLOU, do not waste your time with this pathetic excuse for a follow-up. I don't really need to mention the issues. again, do I ?! The story is horrible. I've already deleted it without finishing (I had NO desire to play past a certain point).

The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
