    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. El juego de es bueno, su gameplay es exquisito, es frenético cuando tiene que serlo y sigiloso cuando debe serlo también. Gráficamente es de lo mejor que he visto jamas. El problema es la historia, en un principio molesta la muerte Joel pero a la larga se entiende el por qué pero los hechos tan convenientes paraa que Abby se encontrará con Joel no me convence. El segundo problema y el mas grave es que te obligan a jugar con Abby mas de la mitad del juego, intentan que te encariñes con ella a la fuerza, digo okay esta bien entiendo sus motivos por el cual quería matar a Joel. Pero no era necesito extender tanto su historia con flashbacks a montones, de su relación amorosa y el trío con problemas que realmente no me interesa en lo mas mínimo para que al final no se sepa que fue de ella. Entiendo que ella terminó haciendo lo que Joel, traicióno a todos por proteger a alguien. Quiza si hubieran intercalado entre historias se hubiera hecho mas llevadero. Pero lamentablemente llega un momento en el que jugar con Abby bastante tiempo es molesto y pesado sin mencionar que las mejores secciones se las dieron a ella dejando a Ellie en un segundo plano demasiado marcado otro pequeño problema que no tiene nada que ver con homofobia es el tema forzado de las dudas y orientaciónes sexuales. Por ejemplo, hay una sección con Ellie en donde hay una calle con banderas LGBT y el pavimento pintado del mismo arcoiris y ¿realmente era necesario? Y en un local de esa misma calle hay un libro del poderío femenino ¿wtf?, sean mas discretos. El otro problema es la niña que se siente niño. ¿Really? , ese fue el personaje trans mas forzado que he visto jamas, solo faltaba que la hermana fuera bisexual. Repito no me molesta que tengan dudas de orientación, pero si que fuera TAN FORZADO. Es triste por que Naughty Dog se lave las manos diciéndole a sus fans homofobicos para justificar esta mala decisión que estoy seguro que saben que forzaron. En resumen, en juego es muy bueno, rejugable y disfrutable pero es cierto que pudo ser mejor si no lo hubieran querido hacer inclusivo y si la historia hubiera sido desarrollada de diferente manera menos pesada por la parte de Abby.… Expand

    This game changed my life, its the goty for 2020 and the best game of the gen. Next gen graphics, gameplay is just one of the best in the game history and im in love with the characters story, tysm sony for allow us to play this game!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It took me a few weeks but I finished this, as hopefully all who reviewed the game did. This was a great experience. I won't say it's "fun" or that I "enjoyed" it, but not all story telling is designed around glee. They did an excellent job with the characters and their motivations. I can see why some fans would be upset, but frankly I disagree with that notion. Spending hours playing as Abby, knowing how it ends for her friends I still found myself getting invested, to the point where when it was time to check back with Ellie I was surprised by how villainous she looked from Abby's side of the conflict.

    I'm eager to see more of both Ellie and Abby later. They were both right and they were both wrong and I think that's good story telling. I understand why Ellie stopped at the end. Violence and vengeance is never done and you have to break that cycle somewhere. You have to maintain a little bit of humanity.

    One mark off for the story feeling a little dragged out in parts, but I'm glad I spent weeks playing it instead of days.    … Expand

    The art is gorgeous, the gameplay pretty standard over the shoulder cover shooter gameplay. If you enjoy QTE you will love this game. The story is pretty “meh” and unoriginal. There is a lot of political pandering, though it isn’t the “OMG SJWZZ!!!” some spastic personalities are making it out to be. Overall a bog-standard 2020 action game.

    First off the good stuff, the graphics are outright the best I have seen which to be honest was expected considering how good the graphics are in the    I am extremely disappointed and quite frankly really upset with the direction that ND has gone with, with this game.     First off the good stuff, the graphics are outright the best I have seen which to be honest was expected considering how good the graphics are in the first game(when it came out) and the technology used to behind it.

    The game play and combat mechanics is still really good but there really isn't much difference here from the first game. There is only some small minor things... you would think after 7 years there would be some decent improvement or changes.

    The Story, the single most important element of the game - imo is a horrible experience to play through, one horrific bad s*** crazy thing after another. This story butchers the majority of characters especially the ones we have come to love from the first game.

    OK... I didn't like what they had done with certain characters but with one character in particular and the whole shocking scene with this said character had effected me quite negatively and from here on out I kinda had to FORCE my myself to play and finish the game(hoping there would be some good).
    Never in my life have I had to force myself to finish a game.

    We are then forced to play most of the story/game as a character who for me... well...hated(and probably for a lot of other people too). Playing as this now "hated" character makes it so much harder to play the game. The game has instantly lost its fun and interest factor.

    Poor character development... I won't elaborate to keep this review spoiler free.

    TLOU was and still is a fun, interesting, thrilling game to play and even though its 7 years later its still not bad to look at(graphics wise). The game has set the bar.... with the exception of the graphics TLOU2 however does not live up to that purely because of the continuation of horrible story events, poor character development and playing as a hated character through out!    … Expand

    Great graphics, motion capturing, background design, and voice acting. Props to the Naughty Dog team for that. However, it is a horrible story that unravels any real point of caring about the characters later on. It's the last jedi and game of thrones season 8 again, which is not a compliment Neil.     A generation defying masterpiece from Naughty Dog.

    The journey from beginning to end is one that i can't stop thinking about, it's been 2 days since i've finished it and i've found myself watching videos explaining the world and virus from TLOU.

    The journeyis fascinating.

    I give this game a 9/10.

    Reasons why. 1) 8.5/10 Story. the game story had played me like a emotional guitar. Loved every moment of it. Ending felt kinda anti climactic little bit, just like original game, were it just ends and you want more. You will feel like its world of Game of Thrones. Bring box of tissues. Oh and a bucket to clean up the blood. 2) 10/10 Enviorment and Atmosphere.    I give this game a 9/10.

I love how almost every door is openable, i love how in certain sections of the game its explorable, also i love how you can see destintion out in the distance and you slowly making your way towards it thru the ruined city. That is awesome. Very very beautifuelly build world and enviorment, they developers completly made great job for the detail of the envoiroment, and made it alot of fun looking for goodies and checking every cornor for upgrades .

    3) gameplay. 9.5/10 its really enjoyable to find your own path, and a way you want to tackle enemies. Stealth thru, use traps, silently kill them with pistol and bow or sneak up murder, throw bottle to attract zombies to attack other humans or outright gun blazing. The combat is alot of fun AI is smarter than in most games like this. They hear you, smell you, try to go around you, slowly advance on you from cover to cover. Try to out number you. Do you flee, fight, or sneak thru. Either way what ever you choose it will leave you wanting more.

    Overall i think length of game was good, interesting to see different parts of the city, which was beautifuelly made. The story was also done in awesome interesting way and i see what deveoplers had went for and i understand it as a whole. I say give it a shot the game is well made.    … Expand

    que por su historia vivía agarrando a balazos hasta a sus propios compañeros, destacar el ego de Neil Druckmann al ponerse a el mismo dentro del juego como personaje para terminar muriendo tiempo después, en Tlou 1 podías ir en sigilo para no gastar balas, sin embargo, aquí no pasa eso, es solo reventar a balazos a quien se te pase por enfrente.
    Al tratar de poner esa inclusión con abby se arruinaba ya que varias horas del juego te veías forzado a jugar con ella, y despues de un rato quedabas cómo CONCHETUMARE QUE SE ACABE LUEGO ESTA WEA, otro punto negativo son las lineas de tiempo y la poca coherencia entre estas ejemplo un año mas tarde 5 años antes etc    … Expand

    Game features the views of two very strong characters (with strong contexts), it will often make you question the character's attitude (even though the game does not give you choices to change).
    The many things that are thrown in our face and make us hate / anger but then we think better and see that the world (both in the game and in real life) is not easy, that choices are made that cost us much more than the expected / desired.
    An epic and very exciting ending, a strong striking story and it will certainly be a game remembered for a long time.

Эбби перс не очень и ее спасает только Оуэн, который был интереснее чем она. Но оценку я поставлю 10 потому что игра мне понравилась)Не заслуженный хейт в сторону игры. Я играл в эту игру сам и скажу, что минусы у игры есть но они не критичны, и такой хейт игра не заслуживает. Поэтому 9/10 моя оценка. So I would say this is actually an 8/10 but because of the review bombing this game has had I've scored 10/10 just so it has some fair representation. It took 2 weeks after I finished the game for me to understand it (I hated it at first) but I have finally come around. The thing for me that takes away from it being 10/10 was the way in which ND killed off Joel - it could have been better and I feel the character deserved a better send off, even if it just meant that Abby was introduced sooner. All in all a great game and I think a part 3 would be amazing, especially if they rounded off everything story wise and made it an iconic gaming trilogy.… Expand

    I'd give it a 5 for gameplay and graphics but I see a lot of bs 10 reviews to defend the game so. I wrote a longer review but pressed back and I don't want to write it again but i encourage you to watch youtube reviews on this (angry joe for example) and most of them will give it a similar score and explain why. I hope this was the last part of this franchise.

    I loved this game a lot, I lost someone close to me, and this game really describes my sorrow and my anger. I also learned so much from this game. I learned that I have to be really cautious of my decisions, it could affect someone wrongly, and my words could affect someone negatively. For me this game changed me. The level designs are good, smart, suspenseful, tense. An absolute must play this game. Do I have to talk about the graphics, or the sound design, or the accessibility options? Even if you don’t like the story, the gameplay alone is beautiful, it’s enjoyable af. Video games are arts, and arts can mean different things to different people. People like different things, and that’s fine. Just because you don’t like something doesn’t mean it’s bad or trash. Play the game and then form your opinion.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have seen a lot of reviews for this game, that either praise it as a 10/10 game or outright slate it, accusing it or betraying peoples trust, or saying it is badly written. Neither of these cases ring true to me.
    First off (here is the spoiler bit) If you did not see Joel's death coming a mile off, then you haven't been paying attention to storytelling. Joel possibly doomed humanity at the end of the last game. Now while he did this for Ellie, he would have to pay the ultimate price for this action, that may well see humanity go extinct. While it is a bitter pill to swallow, as Joel was an excellent character, i do believe it does not hamper the game. Ellie is a character that we get to see come in to her own, as she sets off after the Wolves. Her progression, her anger and her determination are all palpable, and believable. Abby also gets some decent treatment in that department. She goes from being someone you hate for what she has done, to someone you can understand, she even has her redemption ark, something that is also a traditional story trope. While i can understand why some people are unhappy with the story, you can not say that it is poorly written, while still claiming to be a fan of the original, as the methodology and quality of both games are very similar. The inclusion of a trans character is something that i think has people screaming about "woke" culture, which is quite literally a ridiculous reason to be bitter.
    The ending has also caused some issues for people, again i can understand some disappointment for some players, but i think they made the right call. Ellie is after all, supposed to be the hero, and must find a way back from that precipice, otherwise they run the risk of turning her into another Rick Grimes.
    My biggest issue with the story telling would be that i felt there were too many flashback chapters, or that they went on too long. While i think the development of each character was important, those chapters felt longer than i wanted them too, and i would find myself thinking "oh not another flashback" but other than that i don't feel a need to complain

    Now for the game play aspect. Some of the niggles from the original have been rectified, others still haven't. Gone is the need to craft lots of shivs (mostly) which annoyed me in the last game. However, movement still feels awkward at times. I missed the traversal puzzles that were present more in the first game, and while they have a few bits like that here, i feel there were not enough. While i am not offended by boss battles, there is definitely a rather annoying one later in the game, where the enemy is more the environment, rather than the giant infected that lurches towards you. There are occasions where i feel like my character was in cover, but was easily spotted, despite the same level of cover being sufficient five minutes ago. My next gripe is one of an aesthetic quality, film grain annoys me in games, even more so when the photo mode allows me to take shots without it. i really wanted an option to turn that film grain off for the whole game, which is otherwise remarkable for a PS4 Pro. its visually one of the best games of a generation and will be showcased for years as a good example of what the PS4 was capable of.

    All in all, This is a high quality game, that makes some unpopular choices. but overall, it is a quality title, worthy of praise and not derision. It isn't perfect, but it is excellent.    … Expand

Yes I feeled myself devastated after the walkthrough, but I also was very grateful to naughty dog for the tremendous work they've done! I know that some people hate TLOU P2 because of Joel's death, the second part of the game and so on. I personally think that those who hate TLOU P2 in general didn't playes at all, they just saw some leaks and make conclusion that this game is about subverting expectations and disrespect to the original game, but they were wrong, this game is good, and it was made by those people who very love Joel and other characters, Troy Baker personally argue with Neil Druckman about this "golf club scene" and in the and even he realised how good, and sad, and very important this story is, this story not classic story about protagonist who won all enemies, in this game you actually never find classic protagonist, but in the end of this story you will understand that this game is much more than the other many good games wich released in this year exactly because of this story. 10/10 best graphics on this generation, best world building, best action and steals gameplay, great art direction and again the best storytelling in this year. PS: you don't have to love this game, but do yourself a favour and play in TLOU P2 at the beginning and in the end, and only after this come here and say your opinion about this game.… Expand

    It was...meh. I got through it, but I had to force myself to get through it. It kind of felt like getting yelled at by my mom when I was a kid. And the pressure to give it a high rating just because it's 'inclusive is' **** You want to play a good game that'll suck you in for hours and make time melt away? Go elsewhere.

    And even if you don't like the story, because yes everybody is free, this is still a videoGAME, and as a videoGAME this GAME doesn't deserve less than 7 for the technical aspect.

The loop of killing enemies, hiding, repositioning, and figuring out how to kill the next enemy was super fun. I also enjoyed the two different play styles of Ellie and Abby. Both characters were badass in their own way, with Ellie feeling more nimble and tactical and Abby being an overpowered bare-knuckle brawler.

    The standout moment of the game for me was fighting the giant miniboss lady with the sledge hammer as Abby.

    Criticism 1: I think the game is slow to get going.

    Criticism 2: I think that in the pursuit of making "art", Naughty Dog mislead a lot of people, which maybe wasn't fair. I avoided the leaks and approached the game unbiased and absolutely loved it. I found myself waking up at 5am so that I could get a few hours in before work; I was completely addicted. The thing with art though is that not everyone appreciates it in the same way- people have different tastes and that's okay. I guess I'm trying to say that I understand why many were turned off by the game, but to me personally, it was a masterpiece.

    Also, I legit think many of the review bombers did it because playing as a girl with big muscles somehow assaults their masculinity. Not saying that everyone who didn't like it felt this way, but definitely some.    … Expand

The last masterpiece of the PS4 era, in the twilight. I can no longer wait the day it comes back as remastered PS5 version.

    This, however, is not what we have to talk about. It is the gameplay, and the player's experience. I do love the way the game betrays its fans, and even TLOU1. I love Naughty Dog's gut deciding to swing Joel's head out. I do love the journey of Elie losing her humanity through the entire story, and retrieve it in the and, making a decision not finishing Abby. I love this game so much that I think TLOU1 should've have so much different story, which makes no sense(lol).

    NONTHELESS, I also agree with some opinions that this game makes the players feel guilty, which is unnecessary. Player should have not forced to push the square button to swing a pipe to kill, even though I find it is one of the key of driving ourselves to craziness, which is exactly same what Elie feels. I also agree with some opinions that sometimes the players feel like there is no reason to play as Abby, finding her stories and feeling what she feels. Because we do love Elie, we were supposed to never care of Abby. (But in the end, I understood ND's intention... maybe.)

    So, in short, this game is extremely controversial, even for me. I love how this game drives me crazy with shocking stories. I do not like some parts of the game. Still good experience, anyway.

    Its very sad that a game that does something different is hated so much. Could people please stop comparing it to the first game and I dont understand how Joel acts out of character. He changed in Jackson he learned that there are still good people and besides of that he had no reason to think that Abby and her Group are bad people. Such a great opportunity to make a perfect game, wasted due to a succession of poor story choices, botched characters and an underwhelming conclusion to what should have been a masterpiece. Do better next time.

    MASTERPIECE！ Finished the game in 2 days. Breathtaking graphics. Great story that explores multiple human emotions and character development. I ended up loving both protagonists: Abby ＆ Ellie... they' d make a lovely couple ；）

Whether you enjoy the story and characters or not, TLoU2 suffers from the inescapable feeling that it is actually two games duct-tapped together at the center and end. It makes sympathizing with and caring about most of the characters conflicting at best and - at worst - impossible for some.

    Personally, I really appreciated what the game was trying to do, and I enjoyed my time with it overall. However the flaws in the writing and pacing are simply unavoidable. If you just want more of what the first game offered, TLoU2 will surely disappoint you. But if you're like me, and you're looking for something a bit different from the first, there are absolutely reasons to like this one.things    … Expand

    Abby ends up being an amazing character, Owen, Manny, Lev, Yara are secondary characters but bring a lot to the story.
    The only downside is that youll have tons of hours to complete this game since they want to show you both sides of the story.

    I saw that abby's storyline was a great addition to showcase how both Ellie and Abby are both good guys in their own stories, and how the hate and revenge cycle is a losing game that made everyone worse off at the end of their own stories.

    its bleak. its sad, its not a happy game.....but its a powerful narrative that got me wondering who the good person was in this game, and how in the universe's narrative, the post-apocalypse is a hellscape with humanity emerging as another monster to make everything worse... in that narrative, humanity could have done so much better, but like in the universe... we fail and Abby/Ellie's focus on their own revenge story ruined both their lives and they both got nothing out of it....not even the revenge they were seeking out to get.    … Expand

    The biggest weakness for me was the writing and story-telling. In my opinion, the characters did not get a chance to grow as much as they should have, considering events that occur throughout. Although I am glad these characters are not free from the consequences of their actions, its hard to say any of them really learned a lesson. This results in an ending that feels bleak and hopeless, almost just for the sake of feeling bleak and hopeless.

    Despite enjoying the large amount of game-play, the story felt like it was dragging towards the end, and it almost felt like their were several good moments to wrap things up, only to fake out the player and keep things going on and on, only end a moment that is particularly emotionally difficult to stomach. This could have been fixed by either ending maybe 30-60 minutes sooner, or 30-60 minutes even later. Even if just to give the player a sense that a lesson was learned and these characters are not beyond redemption for their choices.

    Despite feeling let down by the ending, it did not sour what was overall very enjoyable experience. All other important aspects of a video game were present: Graphics, Game-play, Music.

    I do intend to play again on New Game+, and seriously hope their is a third (and final) installment.    … Expand

Story has more levels than first part and nothing is black and white anymore. Colors of your story are changing and sometimes you wish that darkness is not there. But it is. You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

    If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
