    Looks very nice, that's about it. But who cares about graphics. Graphics have been oke since 2005 so I don't really care.

    I do care about gameplay and story. They suck balls. Gameplay is the same as the first game.
    We don't have to argue about story, everybody knows it's bad.

    Incredible game, graphics are insane, mocap and voice acting is top tier the gameplay is as smooth as butter, and the story is incredibly written and is an emotional roller coaster.

    The game is absolutely fantastic. Do not listen to the haters that are complaining about the story. The game is extremely violent just like the first one. If you enjoyed playing the first one then you should definitely play this one.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I thought this game was downright brilliant, and I don’t understand why people would give it a 1/10, or a 0/10 Even if they didn’t like the story. *spoilers*

    First of all, the graphics are by FAR the best graphics we’ve had in a game so far, and there is so much attention to detail hidden within it (blood stays on your foot and you see blood in snow from where you step, wind movements, tree leaves following you as you walk through them). The graphics, and attention to detail alone makes it at least a 4/10 for me. Second of all, the story. The story shows struggles of grief, consequences on ones own actions, and the building of guilt that leaves the player with those same feelings. I was in shock after Joel’s death. I was angry, and thought “wait, that doesn’t make sense, Joel would never do anything to get himself into that type of situation” but after following the story some more, and ACTUALLY thinking about it, it makes perfect sense. Through Joel’s whole life post-breakout he’s been surviving, struggling with his own depression, and killing anyone he had to. But after he got to Jackson, he was only ever around people he loved. His brother, Ellie, Maria, etc,. He was comfortable, and that made him soft. And, may I say, of COURSE he would die in a humiliating, and gruesome fashion!! He killed Abbys father, the ONE man in the world who could have created a vaccine, for the ENTIRE HUMAN RACE!! And you guys are crying because “oh Joel didn’t deserve such a mean sad death :((( 1/10” god damn, YES HE DID!! And, to the last thing that people are “upset” about. The ending. Ellie finally catches up to Abby, and has a chance to kill her, but doesn’t. Why? Two reasons (in my opinion)

    Abby and Lev are parallel to Ellie and Joel in the first game. They travel alone, trying to get to safety, taking care of each other, while slowly learning to like each other, and keep each other safe. Hell, at the end, Abby is carrying Lev the EXACT same way Joel was carrying Ellie out of the hospital. I think Ellie knew that if she killed Abby there, then this would just be a cycle that never ends. Revenge, and murder. She kills Abby, Lev kills Ellie, etc,.
    And also: Because she knew it wouldn’t make anything better. Never for a moment did Ellie get a chance to actually mourn Joel. Right after Joel died, she immediately was en route to Seattle, fighting through hordes of enemies, hunting people down, dealing with another loss, and then going right into raising a child. Ellie thought at the beginning, “I’m gonna find and kill ever last one of them”, but after killing a few all she started thinking afterwards was “I just have to kill Abby, then I’ll go”. She had such a gruesome amount of guilt after every single kill that she just wanted to get it over with. So, at the end, when she was drowning Abby, she realized that she wasn’t feeling better, she still felt that guilt, and pain. Then she thought of her and Joel’s last conversation. The conversation of forgiveness. (Why did she have this flash back? Was she thinking of what Abby and Levs last conversation was like? Or was she trying to pick up on her and Joel’s last thought, which was, learning to forgive. Maybe both?) After this flashback, she lets Abby go, trying to forgive. Maybe not so much Abby, but more so herself. That’s something I’m still interpreting myself.    … Expand

    Good graphics, OK-ish gameplay, some minor bugs but we can live with that. Bad story, awful character development and false advertising. Really disappointed by Naughty Dog.

I wish Joel’s death was handled better but I guess I am fine with it. But I loved Ellie’s revenge quest. Also, I loved Abby’s parts and I eventually began to like her. Their stories are very similar and you can see the parallels between them in the end. I hope we see more of Abby and Lev.… Expand

    В Last of Us 2 просто приятно играть и в ней находится во всех планах... Как по мне то это офигенное продолжение, в котором разработчик дал то что было в 1 части но помноженное на два, с парой незначительных спорных моментов.

    It took me about 30 hours to beat this game and it was hard to not be able to play it all in one sitting. This is a piece of art that will define the next few years of gaming just like the first one did. The story rips out your heart and also mends it together...by the end you’re left with an empty hole and the feeling of wanting to play more. Como fica os jogadores que "mataram" o médico no final do primeiro jogo dando um tiro no pé em? Como fica? Nem era pra morrer né, NENHUM inimigo do primeiro jogo morre assim. Como fica aqueles jogadores que atiraram sem ter na intenção de matar aquele médico? E mesmo assim ele desmonta e morre todo estranho? Da próxima vez que for vomitar uma história, aprende a fazer vilão direito, caso você sinta vontade de fazer as pessoas ' entenderem o lado dele". Tome como exemplo o Darth Vader... O povo curte ele.. não odeiam como odeiam a Abby...     Depois do confronto DECEPCIONANTE, vocês de propósito dão a entender que ali seria o fim? Deu ódio de novo. Tanto ódio que se tivesse acabado ali.. nunca mais compraria jogo algum dessa empresa!

    A única crítica mesmo é a história horrível e mal contada.

    Como ver o lado da Abby? Como sentir pena dela? O que ela perdeu na vida? O pai? Ver o Joel perdendo a FILHAA deu muuuito mais dó, do que ver a Abby chorando. Chega nem perto!
    Ela perdeu o ex namorado? BEM FEITO porque ela chifrou a amiga!... E só.. o resto dos "amigos" dela, são no MÁXIMO colegas distantes, já que vocês não tiveram capacidade de mostrar o quão importante aquelas pessoas eram pra Abby... Atropelaram a história, ao invés de contar direito os fatos.. e fazendo isso, não deu tempo de sentir pena da Abby, que brutalmente ASSASSINOU covardemente o Joel no mesmo dia que o Joel salvou a vida dela.
    Essa história é uma sobrevivência, que mostra o quão injusto é esse mundo... Da próxima vez que forem alterar o sentido de uma franquia. Por favor avisem antes, pq assim eu não compro esse lixo..

    É o mesmo que pegar uncharted 5 e fazer um avulso arrancar o joelho do Nate, bater com um taco de golfe na cabeça dele até grudar uns pedaço do cérebro, e depois o jogador jogar 15 horas com o assassino do Nate, pra entender o lado dele, e no combate final a gente continuar usando o assassino do Nate pra arrebentar com o Sully... Essa é a história do The last of us parte 2 convertida no universo Uncharted... É isso... It's a long and exhausting journey, and so very worth it if you leave your assumptions at the door.

    It's not a game for everyone - as the reviews seem to show - but if you enjoy emotional and moral challenges and don't see everything in black and white, then I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

    The graphics and gameplay are both improved over the original, with some truly spectacular visuals and very involving set-pieces.

    It does suffer from some of the same issues the first one had, however. A few fights (especially with the infected) rely a bit too much on getting lucky or trial-and-erroring your way through the environment, and there is one boss fight which can be frustrating until you find the right place to fight it. There are also one or two flashback sections which might have been worked better at different points in the overall narrative, but given how ambitious the storytelling is, I can forgive this.

    If you loved the first one and can go into the second with an equally open mind, then you'll love this. Just be prepared to be made uncomfortable by some parts of the game - they do pay off but you're going to come out of this game with very different emotions than you did with the first one.    … Expand

    What it lacks is the story.
    Bad pacing, new characters shoved in and not developed enough to have the players feel emotionally attached and constant gameplay padding. Abby in particular, If she would have been introduced more slowly, building her towards her killing Joel, with the player having to do the job after you have played with her for enough time to start appreciate the character, it would have been much better.

    Instead we have a messy start that sets her as a villain while spending the rest of the game using cheap methods to try and make you like her. Meanwhile dehumanizing Ellie. In the end you don't feel anything for either one of them.

    Another glaring weak point is the longevity, the game could have lasted half the 30 hours it lasts and it would have been better, too much gameplay padding in a game that doesn't shine for combat mechanics.    … Expand

    The bias in the revievs just shows that people these days are not ready for this kind of dificult stories.
    Most of the negative revievs are basically "OMG they killed Joel. How they could make one of the main characters think he is evil even thou he killed many people"

    but this garbage of a sequel? Jesus. They didn't even take account the experience of the characters in the 1st game. Minor spoiler:
    Joel spent 20 years in that Apocalypse and its pretty much all thrown to pieces
    The story writing is horrible. Ellie didn't kill abby because of her she wants to retain her little bit of humanity in? bullsh!t why did she kill strangers who are unrelated to abby then and felt nothing about it but when they confront she suddenly changed her mind? "oh its because ellie saw that child and she got reminded of joel" that's pretty much **** **** m8. abby didn't even know that child and she killed her former friends in the WFL to save that girl who she had no remorse in killing in. there are lots i can point out but jesus chirs,t neil **** 7 years of writing for this? why didn't you re-hire bruce straley so he guide your stupid decisions making this game.    … Expand

    So funny that just IGN Japan wrote professional honest review on a game. Im not against the teenager's ideas of this crap with good graphics. It just need more talented writers, like in RDR 2. American games from a masterpieces became sjw twits. Wasteland 3 postapocalypse is more real than this untalented crap

Я хотел видеть отношение Элли и Джоеля а не отношение двух лесбух и попытки убедить меня что я должен сопереживать перекаченному мужеподобному существу по имени эбби. Серая мораль которую мне хотели показать авторы мне нахрен не нужна я и так понимаю что не существует героев и злодеев. Так же первая часть не была пропагандой лгбт, фемок и того что женщины на мать его 6 месяце беременности идут мочить зомби в патруль! Все мужские персонажи в игре представлены мудаками, а женские наоборот. При этом все мужские персонажи красивые, женские наоборот страшные. Я покупаю и играю а игры чтобы уйти из реального мира. Не хочу платить за игры с такой пропагандой. Однако будучи объективным игра выглядит великолепно, атмосфера пост апокалипсиса передана хорошо не считая моментов связанных с пропагандой "сильных и независимых". Местами игра пугает отлично можно даже подумать что играешь в хоррор. Я был не против феминисток и лгбт до того момента пока они не стали лезть своими грязными руками в то что мне дорого и менять это под себя. Если я захочу увидеть "реалистичных не сэксуализированных" женщин я выйду на улицу. В играх я хочу видеть красивых, милых женских персонажей.… Expand

    This game is one of the best games I have ever played in my life, it made me have most of the feelings, the story is incredible, the gameplay is great, and the graphics are certainly the best of the generation. When the game was over I was left with a void inside me, this game deserves all the best, Neil Druckmann's team, and the director himself, deserves a standing ovation. Incredible Game!

It's a very well-constructed narrative circle - the plot choices make perfect sense with the story being told. Sometimes it runs away from the commonplace and always keeps you in expectation or ally with the character with which you play.

    And the graphics    Game of the year - for sure. Beautiful, perfect gameplay and a story that - sorry to the critics - has no holes if you pay attention. It's a very well-constructed narrative circle - the plot choices make perfect sense with the story being told. Sometimes it runs away from the commonplace and always keeps you in expectation or ally with the character with which you play.

    And the graphics close the generation with a bang. What a visual experience!

    In certain games I understand the bulk of the criticism, but most of the ones here are almost always oriented to choices that say much more about the moralist or conservative view of the critic than about the game itself.

In my opinion, be it a brand new stand-alone game, so many people and me as well    I have so many contradictory feelings about this game. TLOU2 is the best out there in many aspects. I really want to applaud the game developers and artists, everyone who put so much effort into this game.
    However, playing this game was mentally hard for me so that I wanted to drop it at certain episodes. In my opinion, be it a brand new stand-alone game, so many people and me as well would adore this game for its realistic toughness, and complexity of the story. But as it is not one, it will always lose to the first TLOU that rather than demonstrating the gamers painful and exhausting path of revenge and bloodshed, taught us that even in the brutal world of zombies and hungry, desperate, dangerous people a person who lost everything still can find a light can still care and fight for something or someone. This game does not deserve 0-s a lot of people put here. But I would not call it an enjoyable game either. I finished it and I will not return to THOU2 ever again.    … Expand

    Но как же омерзительно игра воспринимается с идеологической точки зрения. А так, как, тлоу - это в первую очередь игра про атмосферу и сюжет, то это провал.

    Once again, the graphics are outstanding, probably the best I've seen on ps4. The amount of details, level design, the variety of locations is top notch. But the story is really weak. The characters we love are unrecognisable and are turned into complete jerks, who sometimes look like even they can't justify or understand their actions.

    The whole idea to show us the "villains" point of view is interesting and I was intrigued in the middle of the game, wondering what will happen next. But I just could not get myself to worry about Abby or Mel (pregnant woman goes on a dangerous mission and is fine with it, like cmon. she is a doctor aswell, but it totally fine with it) or any other new characters.
    The ending is the worst part, its totally devastating and unbelievably unsatisfying. The game had enourmous potential and technically is done very well. But the plot is horrendous and is basically done like the last season of GOT.    … Expand

    Not a lot of people are mentioning the gameplay of the game in their reviews and that is a real shame. Combat-wise this is probably the most satisfying third-person shooter I have played since the early Gears of War games and that is mostly down to how violent and satisfying it feels, when you shoot someone with a shotgun in this game you REALLY feel it. Overall the gameplay is very solid.

    The game is by no means perfect however, it has some pacing issues and honestly could do with being at least 5 hours shorter. There are moments in the game when you are exploring for a while and it feels like the plot isn't really moving forward. The narrative structure of the game is also something I am not 100% keen on as it removes the emotion from some moments in the story that would have had more emotion to them if they were presented in a linear fashion. There are a few moments when the strange narrative structure works quite well however and it certainly makes the game feel unique and stand out.

    We need more games to take risks like Last of Us 2 ore we will end up living in a generation of bland copy-paste sequels and I'm not ok with that.    … Expand

Rather than continue the game from Ellie and Joel walking off in the sunset seeking shelter and a new life, it focuses on a homosexual relationship between Ellie and Dina after Dina has a fight with her BF and seeks refuge with Ellie. They also decided to kill off the main Protagonist, a seasoned survivor with a sharp eye and penchant to kill by a group of uncoordinated youth associated with the Fireflies. Joel gets beaten to a pulp in front of Ellie and she vows revenge on Abby, the Transexual ring leader.

    Ellie and naieve Dina go on this mission with a largely uninteresting dialogue and passive sexual innuendoes.     Awful and too long gameplay. You just shoot all enemies on level, or was lucky to just run away without getting damage on this stupid, hard to open doors. After 15 hours i just tire to play it. Plot is terrible, especially Abby's line, it just useless for story. Only ending was strong, i think lot of people did't understand it, but it can't save whole game.

В геймплейном плане разбавили разве что собаками, а в остальном эта всё та же первая часть с её достоинствами и недостатками. Гайки всё так же волшебным образом материализуются в оптические прицелы, можно таскать на спине целый арсенал, но к каждому оружию можно носить по 5-10 патронов, ветки прокачки не вариативны, а некоторые и вовсе бесполезны. Стелс всё такой же бутылочный, а перестрелки нудные. Никакой работы над ошибками, увы, не произвели.

    Просто надругательство над первой частью и идеальный пример того, что некоторым произведениям сиквел не нужен, а то и вовсе противопоказан.    … Expand

Очень затянуто, не понятно зачем создана вторая линия персонажа, персонажи второго плана не прописаны от слова совсем, они должны создавать какие-то эмоции, но их нет. По финалу могу сказать так, что сюжет растянут и он очень глупый , в большинстве сцен вместо того , что было задумано Дракманом (сопереживание, грусть и так далее) у меня был только смех от идиотии данной ситуации. В итоге мы имеем посредственный эксклюзив и культ "ну они потратили деньги на разработку, надо поддержать" . Да , красиво, больше из себя плюсов я не могу высосать.… Expand

    How can you let us brutally butcher everyone we meet for 30 hours and then at the end when everything is broken SUDDENLY think we'll understand that because we let abby go, ellie is still human after all. That's just bad writing. Also we are not idiots who needs to have it chewed out for us in a 15 hour long manipulative way    Such a great concept of storytelling but so badly executed...

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. wow. what can I say. they really hit this one out of the ballpark. the characters, the music soundtrack, the environment. people say that Abby is the worst character and being able to play as her shouldn't have been included, but I loved it. seeing WHY this new character wanted to kill Joel, her backstory. just wow. I actually ended up loving Abby and her character more than Ellie in the end. this game is getting a lot of undeserved hate, I think it was incredible.… Expand

    I wish I liked this. To me this game is less than the sums of its parts. I'm not mad that a specific character died or anything like that. I'm just disappointed. I wish they did a game less bold, because to me, the writing failed big time. The writers wanted me to feel empathy towards a character and I tried, I really tried, but I felt nothing for that character. Just wanted thatI wish I liked this.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
