    The great work of the developers, the game is insanely beautiful, but all this is completely destroyed by a stupid plot, stupid characters and an unnecessary LGBT message as if there are no other problems in this world. in general, a very very bad continuation, which should not have been well, or not Neil Drakman should have done it by someone more adequate and mature (with a brain).     Il gioco è un opera colossale non da solo punto di vista "ludico" ma come opera complessiva. Colonna sonora, fotografia, soggetto e sottotrame sono stupende.
    Sebbene non abbiano introdotto importantissimi novità dal punto di vista del gameplay, è stato perfezionato quel che basta per una migliore giocabilità ed un senso di "casa" rispetto il primo episodio.     The Last of Us 2 is the perfect sequel to the first game, putting you in the midst of an intense plot, with real to life characters, thrilling gameplay, scenery and exploration, immense attention to detail, a beautiful soundtrack and a story that no developer has really dared to take on.

    The last of us 2 is a masterpiece that anyone who calls themselves a gamer must experience. The fluidity of the combat and the tention naughty dog builds during gameplay sequences is so extreme yet so effortlessly brilliant. The story is dividing but I feel it is more about forgiveness than revenge. Won't spoil anything but I highly highly highly recommend reserving judgement before theThe last of us 2 is a masterpiece that anyone who calls themselves a gamer must experience.     The game story is much greater than first one TLOU2 has great emotional moments make you hate Abby but later your thoughts absolutely changes by playing second part of the game with her.
    I loved the game from Story to gameplay, everything was perfect.

    If this wasn't the successor to the best game ever made, probably could get a 6 or a 7, but...it is...and it failed badly. The nice music and visuals doesn't hide the weak gameplay and hollow story. And that´s the problem - TLOU never combined with "hollow story". TLOU II made the franchise "just another zombie game"

Then they force you to play as Abby for 10 hours. You have no choice. Throughout the game, you will be forced to make cruel decisions and then guilted into thinking you are a terrible being. You then play as Ellie angry and wanting revenge. When you finally get into the final fight..you let Abby go. I wasted $60 buying this garbage. I should’ve listened and believed the leak. 0/10… Expand

Can’t get a refund which would make anyone feeling bitter if they didn't like the game. I gave it a 4/100. I didn’t enjoy the game. It was boring. I literally almost slept in my own playthrough which is a first to me. it didn't exceed my expectations, it's just an edgy game trying to live up to its prequel. I just wished it had more depth in it with a better ending. I was playing this game with some friends who had watched the spoilers and by the end of the game they laughed at the grimace I made, I don't think I have ever cringed so hard in my entire adult life but this is the last time I buy anything on day 1. Edit:I replayed the game and I ended up getting a different experience. I think that the fact that I hasted the game made me judge it too harshly. It didn't get better, I just realized some significance of some events which I didn’t in my first playthrough. All in all I don’t look forward to any last of us 3 any time soon. Do I recommend the game? No, definitely not on this price. However I do recommend buying it if on sale.… Expand

The disparity between the user reviews and critics show how out of touch woke media really is. Before any virtue signalers call the cancel culture; I had no issue with Ellie's sexual preferences nor the transgender character (though the actor is racist and sexist but thats another story), but this story is another cancellation of a strong male father figure.
    Overall really dissatisfied with the direction of the franchise and I will not be considering this canon nor will I invest in a TLOU part III.    … Expand

At the middle of the game, I've been a bit bored, because of actions, but It repared fast. Naghty dog, I hope you will continue make games like this and I hope, you won't become like Ubisoft, EA and other trash firms, and won't listen persons like AnitaAs for me this is a great example of soul games. Unfortunately, the game director has infused his personal political opinions in such a haphazard way that the entire experience becomes sullied to the point where it's not worth playing. At least it is when you are exploring Seattle and the stealth is engaging but there lies the problem with the game. It is a story driven game. Its not open world and you have to abide by what the devs want for you. It’s a story driven game that tears down everything it built in the first game. And that’s not what makes the story bad. The story is so one note. None of the characters are likeable. A revenge plot should at least have likeable characters. And this game just doesn’t. Ellie is a bitter mess. Jesse has no personality. Abby’s love interest has no personality. Abby is just unlikeable. I actually get her killing Joel. But they should have saved that for midway through the game and not done it in such a “ooooo let’s shock the gamer by going walking dead upside Joel’s head”. It’s not creative. Idk who wrote the story as druckmans stories in the last have been fantastic but if it was him. Ouch. He created one of the worst stories in video game history. If he could’ve just made a more creative story this could be one of the best games of all time. But he didn’t. It’s like he didn’t even try. Sale this game and buy Tsushima. The critics know nothing.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game unintentionally gave players the most immersive experience of a zombie tragedy but not in the way it likely planned to. First, they showed us an ideal life where we were all excited to embrace the sequel and then allowed a zombie writing staff to infect the franchise by sticking its teeth into the arm of the fans via a golf club. However, even after this, I held hope we'd tie off the arm, chop it off, and be able to move on into a new story. What I got instead was a game where the infection spread so much that by mid-game I was playing a character who was an undead version of the protagonist and time-hopping like I was Doctor Who. They tried to make me care with every trick in the book but it couldn't stop it from feeling like I was in a failed marriage. All the joy was gone and all that was left with was an obligation to see it through since I already made the 59.99 commitment. Like I never thought a game would need a Synder cut much less something from Naughty Dog but seriously had they let you played it chronologically & mad a few revisions this could be an 8.5. Alas since the game felt so miserable I can only award it half the points for its graphics and the few parts I liked. I strongly recommend they review their prior titles to relearn what made them great. Things like filling the player with some sense of enjoyment other than just revenge porn & angsty guitar solos. Personally right after playing Last of Us 2 I replayed Uncharted 4 as a sort of cleanse and I'll say it still holds up so I'm confident you guys can do better next time. Just please keep the player in mind and remember to make it about being fun and not whatever else you're doing in the writer's room to intentionally disappoint *cough*, I mean subvert expectations.… Expand

The writer uses every moment that joel is in the game to tear him down (which is minimal btw) and make it seem that saving ellie is the reason for her problems. Yes he shouldn't have lied, but to basically throw the entire first game away because of that? Feels like that someone didnt like the fact the joel didnt let her die for the "greater good" and decided that he needs to be punished. Playing as the enemy and making ellie seem like the bad guy was fresh and fun to experience but not enough to make up for the stories short comings. All in all if you liked the first you probably wont like the second but if you are a new player, welcome to a decent game with good mechanics but a mediocre story.… Expand

    One of the best games i have ever played. To rate it this low because you dont belive in the story makes no sense. There Can be no argument this is still a great story, gripping and tense. And the fact that ii can cause outrage like this just proves it’s a 10. They made all of you feel something. That is what gaming is about, even if That feeling is anger or sadness.

    I think that this game is a difficult one to understand and it is a game of revenge, it was a risk and for me, it mostly works and the ending leaves it open for a third part which I would love to see happen.

    Technically marvelous, visually genre-defying and emotionally hard-hitting, The Last of Us Part II is one of the best video game sequels of all time and manages to surpass its predecessor in every sense. You will not be the same player or even person after going through this ride.

And feels pointless in the end. I played hoping to kill Abby, and when Ellie left that behind to go live her life with Dina I was okay with it, because that’s understandable. However when Ellie left Dina and her son behind, and then didn’t kill Abby I was incredibly confused. She left her life behind, for no reason. Naughty Dog completed changed characters like Joel and Tommy, making them more ‘friendly’. There’s a sex scene which nobody asked for and now all people are asking for is bleach, to bathe their eyeballs in. Overall the game is an extremely upsetting sequel to The Last of Us.… Expand

    Last of us 2 is an amazing follow up to one of my favorite games. Naughty dog always out do them selfs with each new game they release and they did it again. The environments in this game are incredible and push the ps4 hardware to the limits. I like the semi open worldness they added and makes exploring and finding collectables more challenging and rewarding. Sounds in this game are incredible i dont think i have heard such great sound effects in a game before. The facial animations and voice acting is the best I have ever seen in a video game. I enjoyed the story very much, it took me places i wasnt expecting and made you have certain feels even though you didnt want to. The only part that i did not agree with was the ending, I think it should of finished off a certain way. Great story driven first player game. Ill be looking forward to LoU3 on PS5.… Expand

    i'd love to give it a 10 just to fight against review bombing, but i have to be professional and give it what it has to be given.
    For me its a 9, every technical aspect in this game is superb and better than the previous game, but in terms of the plot, there's something, i cant figure out what, that doesnt make you feel like the first one made us feel when we were playing it.

    When I got the game I didn’t even play part 1 yet. And let me tell u. This was a great game.!! I did go back and play part 1 because kinda felt like I was missing something. But if I had two choose. Part 2 was way better.. the battles. The people. Abby. Play the game first before u judge. Great game. And I hope a part 3 comes out.

    so the obvious elephant in the room is joels death its fine to kill a main character its happened in alot of fiction but the way they did it i would call tasteless the first torture him with a golf club but not kill him and this happens after joel saves abby's life then when ellie shows up abby kills joel and Manny walks up and spits on his corpse and insults him it feels like a slap in the face to fans cause it wouldve been fine to kill joel and he didnt even need to have a heroes death but the way they went about it wasnt right either the spit on him and then later on expect you to play as abby and then even later they expect you to beat up ellie as abby its just not right. on a side not abby isnt trans i know she looks like it and i kinda thought at first she was but shes actually just a buff woman as confirmed by the director and others so thw murder of joel wasnt done for some lgbtq agenda.

    the actual trans character lev or his original name lily was handled very well in my opinion they brought attention to it but only for a minute just like how they handled ellies lesbian relationship with riley it just to give background detail and not to encompass there entire character and i quite liked lev.

    another thing its very uncomfortable having ellie have sex with dina yes nothing is shown and it cuts to afterwords and this has nothing to do with lesbians it has to do with the fact that we watched her grow up and it just feels uncomfortable to see that its like watching your own daughter have sex you wouldnt wanna do that there were better ways to handle that and once again i wanna point out its not cause there lesbians i actually like ellie and dinas relationship.

    also the game trys to make you feel for abby but constantly has her be a peice of **** as well and its annoying like joel saves her she kills joel out of revenge, owen is dating and has mel pregnant so she **** owen so the game knowing you would think shes ****ty immediately trys to show her feeling guilty for lev and his sister to try to make her seem like a good person cause she cares the she lies at nora to the hospital saying owen is the one losing his arm not to mention the obvious she cost all of her friends lives because of her ****ty revenge on joel which could have the same said for ellie as well though not every body dies obviously.


    so at the end the game has you fight abby as ellie which why would you wanna fight the girl that you saved in the first game? Then you proceed to beat the **** out of her as abby, then she lets ellie live and leave time passes then ellie hears about abby in cali then it shifts to abby in cali for a short bit there then back to ellie in cali kill random people find abby fight abby and then see a flash back of joel just sitting on a porch no words nothing then ellie stops trying to kill her and lets her leave the whole cali section feels too long and un needed that whole thing couldve happened in Seattle and been fine.

But is the game a 0 or a 1 for that? Hell no.. The visuals are one of THE most impresive ive ever seen. I cant belive it runs so well on a PS4 and its even more impresive on a PRO system. Sound and music is again one of THE best ive heard in a game. How the enemies communicate to each other is excellent. The clickers and the other infected are even more terifyin than the last game. Game play and the stealth is so damn fun and is a huge improvment from first game.

    The only flaw i have with the game is the pasing and the story. And im not that upset with Joels death not the way he died. Sure i wish he could live but not all stories have a happy ending. In not a huge fan of flashbacks in games thou. And this game has ALOT of them unfortanetly. Witch ruins the pasing and mess up the immersion. And yeah, some of the directions and events in the story is.. a Little wierd, but its still enjoyable.

    All and all its a damn fine game witch is really beatiful and fun to play with a story and pasing thats the only two things that hold it back a little.    … Expand

    This game had be scared, worried, devastated, happy, emotional, sympathetic, guilty and completely broken and many other feeling i cant put into words. I hated some part i loved some parts but the way the story is being told and how well its written is mind blowing. I see a lot of people hate on this game and honestly while playing i was one of them, but the way they break you and then give you closure is something on a whole another level.

    Game play is absolutely mind blowing, they did a very good job of improving from the previous game. Some old mechanics are also improved and overall the game feel more dynamic on how you can do thing and engage enemies.

    The story is something that a lot of people are hating specially last of us fans. But in order to feel more than hate you have to connect to the characters in a deeper level. I also hate some characters because of the story but particularly connecting to Ellie is the goal, if you want to understand the beauty of the game. Spoiler: I cried before Ellie started crying at a point and i am not the kind of guy that cries at anything, that is how beautiful the story is written, Also the games story has a big impact from the previous game so definitely recommend refreshing that before playing this.

    Characters were a mix for me. The original characters were written very well especially Ellie and Joel, but other characters had some poor energy with the game.But the development of the characters were pretty good if i am being honest. its just the characters without development were just a bit off. Also the story for Abby was not very strong unless you understand a few things about her. Her story was a bit weak but the development makes up for that. Also her motivation was not that appealing to me.

    All in all this game is master piece and i can't hate it, even though i want to very much. Just a heads up i didn't get a good night sleep after some traumas in the game. Its not for the weak hearted and definitely do not recommend for people suffering from depression. But its a beauty that need praise.    … Expand

I bought the game and for a couple of weeks I was immersed in it. I have never seen such intensity of drama in any other game. Emotions are torn over the place, the game makes you suffer and experience everything that happens in it. At the end, I felt depression, sadness and hopelessness ... It's just amazing! I’m so tired of all these "super heroes", "happy ends" and boring stories! I have got many thoughts after passing… many questions for my own life ... When the credits began, I just got up, went to my daughter, hugged her and sat like that for some time ...
    I absolutely cannot understand all this crazy hatred around the game. Indeed, there is a lot of unnecessary feminism, many LGBT feature stories. Why is “transgender” needed here? Why all the main and strong characters (except Joel) are women? In the WLF camp you can hear a conversation of random people about the love of two guys (this moment can be easily miss), what is it for? Many of these things just made it difficult for me to empathize with some of the characters. I am not against LGBT, but sometimes there is too much of it! Why couldn't it be done like in the first part of the game? There were strong men and women; it was harmoniously incorporated into the game's plot. I believed in role-playing of Bill, Tess, Marlene! But Lev's motivation eluded me... Either he is a girl, but wants to be a boy, or he / she is fighting against the patriarchy in the village, or he / she simply did not want to marry this man??? What should I empathize with here? Why is this? To please someone or try to take advantage of current “LGBT-trends”? It's superfluous, but it does NOT make the game a bad! I understand Ellie's motivation, I understand Abby. I both love and hate them at the same time. I DON'T want to fight when they fight each other, neither in the theater or at the end of the game! They don't know each other's history, they don't know each other's feelings… I would like to shout, "STOP!". But the game, like in the life, continues its story in cold blood. Where has it been in video games? NOWHERE!

    Okay here is my review of TLOU2.

    Gameplay:
    Play's Similar to the first game with some new extended Options to it such as Jumping and crawling, Yet for me it feels sort of slippery and not as fluid as the first game.Also it is more a movie then it is a game which can be good or bad,In this case it was bad, I like Interactive games such as the Walking dead ones, But this game is really just like watching a long movie with very little gameplay.
    When it does Click back into gameplay the enemies do vary and can show some smarts, But I also seen many AI in my gameplay that were dumb.

    Graphics:Naughty Dog I will give props where due, This game is Beautiful,The world feels Alive, Colors can be both stunning and depressing"In a good way", The details in the faces are spot on with real life.

    Sound:
    Hit or miss for me, Some things sound good while others sound odd to me, Such as some of the voice acting, Most hit the marks with what lines they are given, And a few others sound like they phoned it in and wanted to walk away from the script.

    Story:
    This story is a mess, They take everything good from number one and ruin it with this one, I still like Ellie as I did in the first game, But Joel when he was Present he feels "Off", He does not seem like the same guy we grew to know from the first game, I do not mind the story moving forward, But this game seems like they Erased the first one and wanted to start over with new leads.
    It's a story about hate and revenge yet by the conclusion it is not even that, It leads up to nothing happening besides them all walking away!

    Conclusion:

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

    If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
