    This game is a wasted potential. It throws everything that made the first one a masterpiece and the best game in history. The first one was built on a bond between two characters that hated each other. By the end of the game they were like father and daughter. The story was what shined. And it was just perfect.     Beautiful game, the devs and technical guys did a great Job but you don't pay 69 Euros for this game to look at the environment, these kind of games are all about the story which is absolutely horrible in every way and doesn't make any sense especially the ending, if you're a fan of the first one DON'T PLAY THIS !!!

    Incredible gameplay, incredible acting from all parties. Many different factions to combat, all with unique abilities and styles. Fantastic story, and a must play for fans and non fans alike. Well done Naughty Dog, incredible game. Arguably better than the first, which is a massive compliment.

    Playing this game makes me suffer. Especially the plot holes in the end, that makes no freaking sense. And that “shrek woman” is the worst part of this game. I don’t know if this game is for SJWs only or what, but in conclusion it does not worth buying.

    Naughty Dog probably made one of the most controversial decisions in their writing process I have ever witnessed from any game developer.     It has the most unique story line ever in a 3rd person game. If they didn't make the story as it is , its just probably one those linear games with linear narrative ! This is a masterpiece!

    Tout d'abord, graphiquement, ce jeu est le plus réussi de notre génération. Ici, ce monde est palpable tant le soucis du détails le rend concret.

    Le jeu profite de l'univers musical de l'opus précédent, avec de nouveaux thèmes dans le même styles. Concernant le sound design, c'est ce qui ce fait de mieux dans le réalisme et la cohérence des sons qui vous entourent.

    Du point de vue du gameplay :

    Oui vous aurez à explorer toute la carte et ouvrir tous les tiroirs possibles et imaginables si vous comptez survivre dans une difficulté élevée. Oui, les combats sont moins spectaculaires que God of War ou Uncharted
    Mais les combats vous donneront du fil à retordre, ils ne se dérouleront jamais de la même façon grâce à une des intelligences artificielles les plus réussies. Vous ressentirez la violence de la mort que vous semez, l'idée étant de servir la palette d'émotions immenses que le jeu vous offre

    Concernant l'histoire :

    Le grand point fort de ce jeu est ici, l'histoire, ce que les scénaristes et le réalisateur ont voulu nous faire ressentir. Cette partie du jeu le propulse tout simplement au rang de chef d'oeuvre. J'écrivais auparavant concernant la palette d'émotions que vous fait ressentir le jeu, vous n'êtes réellement pas prêt. Vous allez ressentir de la rage, de la haine, de l'apaisement, du dégoût, de la peur, de la déception, de l'émerveillement, et à nouveau de la haine et de la rage, pour finir sur de la compassion et de l'empathie. Aucun jeu n'avait réussi à pousser à ce point l'expérience émotionnelle liée à un jeu vidéo. En plus de l'écriture, les excellents acteurs permettent de vraiment vous impliquer dans l'histoire.

    Le jeu vous laisse un mélange de sentiments étrange lorsque vous le finirez : Tout d'abord, l'accomplissement d'une quête relativement difficile selon la difficulté choisie. La haine, la tristesse et une once de bonheur, liés à l'histoire que vous venez de vivre. Vous ressentirez également un sentiment de manque, tout d'abord concernant les événements et les personnages que vous avez rencontrés.
    Mais également un sentiment de manque, de se dire que l'on ne jouera pas à un chef d'oeuvre, de cette envergure et de cette puissance, avant des années.    … Expand

    Lamentablemente tiene algunos agujeros de guión que son innegables pero no me sacaron de la experiencia.

This is a masterfully crafted game with a gripping story that centers around a revenge plot that branches out in the most unexpected ways. The story challenges the player, with just not outstanding gameplay, but also understanding of themes like grief, trauma and forgiveness.

    Truly one of the best games I’ve ever played. Despite what many people say, it was an amazing game with an amazing end. What more could one want tacked onto this? Wouldn’t change a thing on this.

    Amazing game. Stunning visuals, great gameplay, greater story and phenomenal acting. 10/10. The ending was satisfying to me and I felt it did the game and its prequel justice. Go play it and enjoy it!!

The gameplay is very entertaining, the AI is smart, you always have to move and think ahead.The graphics are top notch, the best facial expressions and (voice) acting, ligthing, textures,....Everything has super high production values and the attention to detail is unpar.
    The audio is incredible, you really have to hear this in surround: you can hear which direction the enemy is, the enemies shout commands or are in shock when a comrade dies and they even shout their name.
    The Story is 10/10. Ok it's depressing. Joel does but he sometimes comes back in flashbacks so he's not really dead, the game wants to tell you that Ellie will always remember him. The game wants Joel to die because it wants you to feel the same anger as Ellie. Ellie has now a cause why she wants to take you on a revenge trip. But the killer Abby also becomes the main character and this is a very bold but smart move of Naughty Dog. The game wants to tell you that there is no good or evil. Ellie has her reasons to kill Abby, because she killed her father figure: Joel. But Joel killed Abby's father!!! So Abby also had a good reason to kill Joel. We learn from Abby's past that she's not evil but just wants her revenge just like Ellie ..... It's an interesting change of perspective which I like. The end was weird but interesting, you play as Abby who wants to kill Ellie... And later on you play as Ellie who wants to kill Abby. In the end you are not cheering that someone wins, you want them both live and go their seperate ways. Who wins? Ellie? Abby? Nobody? You have to play the game.     There is beauty to be found but I didn't connect to the over all story's 0 desired to every play it again because of that, which is a shame. I platinumed the first game twice (PS3/PS4) this is the first time naughty dog really let me down :(

    , jugabilidad entretenida en fin.     This game has made a terrible year so much better. The characters are phenomenal, I felt such strong emotions towards every one of them. Even you know who. The narrative grips you for the entirety of the game. I didn't want to put my controller down at all.

Aiming and shooting are OK but not that great and the stealth mechanics are getting repetitive for a 30 hour game. Very restrictive and kind of boring, the gameplay feels a bit outdated. I expected more exploration opportunities, a wider worldGameplay-wise, it is very similar to the original game, nothing was really added except the "jump" control which is fairly useless in my opinion. Aiming and shooting are OK but not that great and the stealth mechanics are getting repetitive for a 30 hour game. Very restrictive and kind of boring, the gameplay feels a bit outdated.     The graphics are top notch. Detailed, atmospheric and at some parts they look like next-gen. Visually the game is excellent. Nothing more to add here.
    The story is very bad in my opinion. It is almost as if the creator of this game made wrote this plot (and dialogues) to piss of the fans and only cared about promoting himself (more than one self inserts) and advertise his views, in order to attract attention.     I recently played The Last of Us for the first time. I was about 7 years late and I said it’s one of the best games I have ever played! Now I have finished the follow up, The Last of Us Part II. Overall it’s a great game. Is it better than the original? Yes and no. The story is more elaborate and is pretty compelling. A few slow moments but overall it tells a dark and interesting story. II recently played The Last of Us for the first time. I was about 7 years late and I said it’s one of the best games I have ever played! Now I have finished the follow up, The Last of Us Part II. Overall it’s a great game. Is it better than the original? Yes and no. The story is more elaborate and is pretty compelling. A few slow moments but overall it tells a dark and interesting story. I did miss the simplistic nature of the first game but sequels are always more complex. All i want to say is the way that naughtydog tried to convince and make me understand that we should always look towards different angles to know the right or wrong, true or false is a total **** I dont need it when i sit down in front of the tv and get ready to get entertained. ( Especially when dreaming to play the second chapter of a masterpiece)

    Many people say its amazing, some terrible, the only reason i gave it a 7 was because its a 5 for the story and 9 for the graphics and visuals, meaning a 7 average. The first game is literally my favorite game of all time. This took the first games ideology of characters, and threw it in the trash.. The game relies WAY too much on looking for notes and writings to give story details instead of giving us the details up front. I agree a game shouldn't spoonfeed us details, but about half of all the games story is taken into writings and notes instead of actual dialogue. They focused so much on us liking Abby that we barely got to see character development from Ellie and Dina, even Tommy too. For tommy to survive a bullet to the back of the head (and exits the other side) its actually the dumbest thing the game could do in my opinion. The game needed Tommy alive, but realized he was underused so they put him into the situation that "killed him" then he survived. It's a mix of emotions, but it never should have happened. Abby and her friends are focused on too much for most peoples liking. The games message is that there are 2 sides to every story, and revenge isnt the answer, but guess what? We didn't like Abbys side to the story, and the entire game is based on revenge you never get. The ending is an obvious bridge into a part 3 that it takes emotional progression out. The death of Joel was poorly done, and ive heard the argument "yes he would say who he was, hes changed since the last game." But people forget that its only a 4 year gap between the games, and that the infections been out for 24+ years at that point, so what happened in those 4 years that made joel turn into a super helpful, honest person?? Yes, Jackson way have been different, but the point that they gave away names, location of Jackson, and their supplies away to strangers makes no sense whatsoever. The game has many plot holes in it too.. too many to count. The ending wasn't anything special, it made us hate the ending, which i believe thats what they were going for, but its no excuse to make a bridge into part 3, and completely disregard the entire story of Part 2 before that. Dina risked her life so many times and Ellie helped her so many times, but for what? Another thing is why do the developers expect us to like the long second half of the game (mainly Abby)?? It's filled with boring cutscenes, irrelevant puzzles, and helping out Seraphites for no reason other than they saved her. It broke my heart playing the game the first time, I had to play it again to see if i missed anything and if i was going crazy that they truly did this to a what-could've-been amazing series. The people who find this game to be a masterpiece lie to you, deny flaws, and crap on any opinions against the game, which is another dealbreaker for me. This could've been game of the decade, but instead they went and took any love for the series and threw it out the window. This game IS NOT for the casual gamer, for it asks way too much of you, takes up too much time, makes you forget scenes because it will have a flashback or something else right when conflict reaches a peak, or just doesn't focus on the story. You have to be attentive to this game 24/7 to catch every detail you need.     A $60 lie buy a gaming studio. Loved the first game. I was iffy about a sequel, but trusted a studio that has made countless favorites of mine to do the same here. The story was so atrocious, and goes against everything the first game did. I couldn’t even finish playing it, and went to watch end clips online, and it was exactly what I figured would happen. Happy I at least saved myself aA $60 lie buy a gaming studio. Loved the first game. I was iffy about a sequel, but trusted a studio that has made countless favorites of mine to do the same here. AGAIN it's not the "warm fuzzy" story I wanted to give me those feels... but good, I'm glad naughty dog too another risk and gave me a story and experience I'll never forget. I feel bad so many people put this game on too high of a pedestal. this game is a flawedI get it... it's not the story you wanted. But isn't good storytelling something you didn't expect. El videojuego en si, lo que es lo jugable es extraordinario pero no perfecto, debo decir que al avanzar más y más en el juego había momentos en los que me sentía frustrado de repetir lo mismo, es decir entrar a un cuarto y registrarlo todo para conseguir botín, cuarto siguiente lo mismo y así desde el inicio hasta el final, esa fue la única parte molesta o bien cansada de las mecánicas de juego, ahora en el apartado sonoro el juego suena increíble, yo lo jugué en audio latino por amor al doblaje mismo de la primera parte y todos los detalles como la lluvia, rios, el pisar sobre un charco o pasto y sin mencionar lo tenebroso que suenan los infectados es para dejar a uno sin aliento, debo decir que probé el juego con audífonos 7.1 y también en un sistema de sonido 5.2 en mi experiencia...por otra parte debo decir sobre la banda sonora del juego que al final no me es posible recordar ni una melodía característica o sobresaliente, la música en este título no me hizo sentir absolutamente nada salvó la escena que desencadena toda la historia casi al inicio del juego que hay un efecto sordo en Ellie y me pareció increíble y supongo que pertenece a este apartado de sonido. Gráficamente lo jugué en una PS4 fat en una pantalla de 65 pulgadas y esto no lo digo por presumir sino para remarcar que aún así no se perdía detalle en los increíbles gráficos a los que aún puede llegar la consola, hubo muchos momentos en los que me quedé sin avanzar solo admirando los paisajes que se muestran en pantalla.Lo peor y por mucho en este juego es la historia, no voy a meter nada de spoiler pero debo decir que fue una completa desilusión desde la segunda hora de juego donde hechan a perder toda la franquicia y le ponen un clavo a su ataúd, debo decir que nunca conecté con Abby, nunca me cayó bien, ni ella ni sus amigos o conocidos,tampoco me parece trascendental la sexualidad de la protagonista incluso sentí bello por ella y Dina, la mamadera de Abby me sorprendió pero para nada me desagradó pero ya más adelante meten a un personaje niño/niña (Lev)que ya me pareció metido con calzador y muy forzado como para remarcar que Naughy Dog es muy abierto y comprensivo, el personaje para nada me pareció malo pero la compañía termino por fastidiarme. Para mí como fanático del primero debo decir que Last of Us se trataba de Joel y Ellie le quitas eso y se vuelve otro título cualquiera, si triple A por los altos valores de producción pero no uno que me hubiera interesado. Esta opinión es muy personal pero de haber sabido que todos los trailers eran publicidad falsa y lo que sucedería sería lo que se filtró no hubiese comprado el juego en la preventa incluso ahora que ya pasó un poco de tiempo sigo arrepintiendome de haberlo comprado.

And the transgender character I didn't know until I learned, it wasn't that obvious at all and after I learned I know what character they mean but I couldn't figure it out when I didn't know this piece of info. The ending was weird but it fits nicely into this whole game atmosphere and points they were trying to make. Imho ending was little bit oblong but I understand they're intention.
    Graphics was amazing I still don't really understand how can it be so beautiful on my old OG PS4 and I didn't really experience FPS drops that much but my PS4 is old and full of dust and need thermal paste so maybe overheating and underclocking was a problem on my system but that is all about graphic. Graphics in this game with one word: beautiful.

    Cons: I encountered several bugs through playing that basically ruined my checkpoints. It was a lot more than OG but I only played Remaster of OG so I don't really know how many bugs had OG OG PS3 ver when it came out, but I am sure they will fix most of this issues by updates.
    Also, checkpoints were all over the place in places that I didn't really need checkpoint on every meter they gave me that, but when I had one of the hardest fights in the entire game I didn't have checkpoint until freaking kilometre away, that angered me but I guess The Last of Us was always hard so.    … Expand

    It’s a beautiful game with a fantastic story told from 2 different perspectives. If you’re willing to invest and immerse yourself in the story and do not actively refuse it because of some childish resentment, you’ll definitely love this game.

How did Naughty Dog manage to bring themselves to tear down one of the most impactful, well written and executed, memorable games ever made and then try to manipulate you into liking Joel’s killer? This game sold itself on being a revenge plot but it’s so half assed and watered down it absolutely falls flat. It drops it rather fast to then force you to play as the person you’ve been wanting to kill for over 6 hours. This game is full of cliches, soap opera melodrama, contrived circumstances, terrible writing, and grating pacing. The flashbacks are used mostly terribly. It’s so bad, there’s even a flashback within a flashback within a dream. Not only does it destroy the pacing further it absolutely takes you out of the moment and makes the weak narrative it’s trying to push even more complicated for no really good reason. I honestly can’t blame the review bombers. While I’d normally not condone it, in this case I do. It’s absolutely shameless and just another indicator how SJW and woke agenda is destroying the entertainment industry, not caring how it destroys the legacy of a series. This needs to stop. I’m pretty sure they’re going to make The Last Of Us Part III. I hope after this absolute misfire they get it right. I hope that it’s not going to be a case of The Last Of Us being a case of lightning in a bottle.… Expand

    Abby is a good character and honestly I don't get why people would criticize the game for how Joel died. He gave up his name because 1) he got a little soft during the years in safety, 2) Tommy already said their names to Abby and used his real name to introduce himself to the group, and 3) it's his gosh dang first name, how was he to expect he would be killed for revealing that his name was Joel (which a million other people are named, I'm sure).
    I loved the game! Both of the Abby/Ellie fights were great and very hard to get through because I just wanted them to stop. It's something that I think is super awesome they managed to do with a video game.
    I lowkey thought Abby's section was better than Ellie's (just a bit). I can understand why people don't like that it isn't much related to Ellie's half. But I think it is related to the theme, the game is making you play instead of telling you what to think or feel about a character. You're taken on a ride with Abby and Lev that reminded me of the Joel and Ellie dynamic but in a unique and interesting way. As soon as Abby makes the choice to betray her people for the ones she cares about and gain her humanity back, we are asked to undergo a similar change. We are forced to ask ourselves, "Am I willing to forgive her?". If the answer is yes, then it becomes all the more painful to see the death and destruction Ellie caused from Abby's point of view. Just as soon as she was redeemed, Abby had to lose all over again. And when these two collide, they know nothing about each other and we know everything, we understand both sides. The only issue I had with it is there was a little bit too much world building through reading notes. It sometimes felt if you wanted to experience the full story you had to stop your progression through the game every few steps so you can stop and read a note

    I finally had a chance to finish TLOU2 and I found the story a beautiful, emotional journey that I will remember. At the start of the game I was filled with a visceral hatred and wanted to power through to my revenge. I would suggest this game to any adult and ask them to step into the story and let it carry them. It's possible they may find it uninteresting or hate it entirely, which it totally fine, but I think it's something everyone should experience.… Expand

    I think some of the handling of Ellie's transition from the theatre original enounter with Abby, to her farm life, to the return to her hunt would have been better. It felt the weakest part story wise , her PTSD wasn't very explored and I think the Tommy scene was clumbsy as a triggeru. It also suprised me as Tommy seemed more motivated when he did than originally after Joel's death..
    I would have liked to see more on the relationship with with Dina as well to flesh out this part of the story.    … Expand

I really empathized with Abby. This created an inner conflict: I should be rooting for Ellie, the girl I stuck with through thick and thin, but Abby was kind of right killing Joel. I also saw a lot of similarities between the two. This made it so hard for me to pick a side. At the end of the game I really didn't want to kill Abby. I felt like Ellie was the malefactor in this scenario. So I was really satisfied when she let her go. The death of this character would have been too much injustice. The Last of Us: Part 2 is more than a story of survival. It's about unjust punishment that an apocalypse inextricably entails. In this respect, Part 2 is more complex than Part 1. This game isn't about wreckless killing and taking revenge. The reviewers here who rate the game badly fail to see this.… Expand

If you love single player games with intense character development and dedication to supreme story telling you need to get this ASAP. Folks who are against the social rights aspects of this game or think that Abby isn’t “lady like” enough should go **** themselves! Strong female led game with a trans character too? 10/10 on the creators for fighting the patriarchy and opening the door to for none white cis nerds to see reflections of themselves in games. Здесь нет антагонистов и протагонистов, каждый в итоге решает сам для себя, кто ему ближе и понятнее. Понятно лишь одно: ненависть порождает ненависть.
    Игра окунает нас в уже полюбившийся всем нам мир после катастрофы, мир, где на каждом шагу подстерегает смертельная опасность. Дьявол в мелочах. Каждая локация уникальна, интересна, со своей историей. Окружение настолько детализировано, что можно надолго залипнуть, разглядывая семейные фотографии, книги, брошенные детские игрушки. В каждой новой комнате нас ожидает сюрприз. Пробежать игру по сюжету, не обратив на всё это внимание - непростительная оплошность. Игра отлично оптимизирована: огромный мир и отличнейшая графика без единого намёка на проседания. Для Playstation 4 FAT первой ревизии - это отличный результат.

I felt really sad for Ellie, ended up all alone, like Joel once was... I kinda agree with the ending, Ellie sparing Abby's life because Naughty Dog was going for an ending which didn't feature a useless nature of cyclic revenge and also if you think about it, Abby got what she deserved. Death wouldn't have been worth it for her. She learnt her lesson the hard way. Well I know we all would've loved it if she had killed Abby ofc lol but having this ending doesn't feel bad either. Ellie has always been a kind and strong character and they showed it. Like they say, "The best revenge is forgiveness" since that is a much harder thing to do. This sequel shows the reality of life, how the world has changed into this chaotic crap.. so a gesture of kindness can change certain things.
    I always loved the message Naughty Dog portray with their games, like with Uncharted series and now this. Both Nathan and Ellie WANTED something but at the end, they got what they NEEDED. Inner Peace.
    I was so happy to see the last scene of Joel and Ellie on the balcony, I kept thinking, Joel never got to talk to Ellie and she was being a **** to him but it all went away with that.
    Moving on, the gameplay was so top notch, I never had this much fun playing a videogame. Naughty Dog has really hit it off with this game. Even the graphics. I recently got my platinum for Uncharted 4 and noticed so many little details that I missed on my first playthrough, it was such an amazing game and now with The Last of Us II--they have set up the bar even higher!     … Expand

    Some may be upset that Joel did not die proudly and also that Abby was not killed. But this is not the whole story and it has much more important messages. Life is not just about revenge, and we may lose the good things in life by taking revenge.     The story is a forced agenda by naughty dog and you can clearly see that if you played and loved the first chapter. I can't believe what I saw in this game it's a disgusting thing, ND you should be ashamed of yourself of the betrayed act you have done to you're fans.

Not really understanding all the complaining about this one, outside of the review bombing day one from people that didn't even play it. Graphically, it's beautiful. One of the best looking games I've ever seen. The attention to detail is second to none. It's a very immersive experience. The gameplay is nearly perfect. It's similar to the first one and improves on it in every area. The characters are well written, and their motives make sense. Ellie's decisions can be frustrating, but she's a teenage girl that just had the most important person in her world taken away from her. What do you expect? Same thing with Abby. If she was the main character from the beginning, nobody would blame her for hunting down and killing Joel. He murdered her father and people in her group, and stopped the only chance the world had for a cure. And as far as the ending goes, it would've been pretty disappointing if Ellie did end up killing Abby. Do people not understand what character development is? Abby isnt a like able villain/protagonista, she has a very stupid motive for wanting them both dead, and it doesnt make you connect with her by just playing as her, what made Neil Druckman believe that was the case? No clue. Aside from them there are a few likable characters, like Jesse, Dina and the dog. However the story telling is just bad, terrible, the whole game happens for nothing, the purpose of the game isnt acjieved and not by your choice, but the writters, what was the point of playing it then? Aside from that they really didnt cared ripping off Mulan, those who have played know what I mean by that. The game is just lacking, it makes you make some **** choices, and then makes you feel bad about it, just because. Мало, кто смог сопереживать и главное понять Эбби после того, что она сделала. Даже после того, как показали любимых всеми персонажей с другой (темной) стороны, люди продолжали их любить и продолжали ненавидеть Эбби и ДАЖЕ в конце, после всего того что Эбби пережила, люди вся ровно желали ей смерти...     I've been a huge fan of TLOU and ever since Sarah died in the original game I've been hooked. I was quite skeptical in regards to a "part II" since I felt that there was no need for a sequel. There was also a lot of negative reviews here on metacritic that worried me greatly, but now that I've finished the game, there was no need to worry.

    Graphics: Ranging from large beautiful landscape scenery to grim foggy forests and run down cities this has got to be some of the best work I've seen to date. Also the amazing facial animations are best in class. Without a doubt 10/10

    Music/voice acting: The music is still amazing. Emotional and it enriches the mood/story. If there is one thing that rings in my mind when thinking about the original game it's the sad hopelessness that ringings out on a string instrument. You know which tune i'm thinking off. If you don't know, play the original and come back. The voice acting seem natural and all the actors are doing a great job much like the original. 10/10.

    Gameplay: The game mechanics are very similar to the original and will feel very familiar if you played the first game. Controlling the characters is a little "clumsy" at times. There was a couple of fun new upgrades and weapons. Enemy AI is much better with regards to flanking and attacking you strategically, but its way too easy to lose detection. What bothered me most was the AI off teammates who sneak around to avoid detection, and in so doing, bumps into you and cause yourself to be detected. This game does not feel like the perfect 3rd person shooter experience, but neither is it designed to do so. Sneaking and strategic attacks are the main route and the main focus is the story. Gameplay 7-8/10.

    Story: This is a very controversial topic. It will leave fans heartbroken (me included) and hence some of the negative reviews. It's without a doubt on of the darkest stories I've experienced in a game. ND does a great job of portraying the harsh post-apocalyptic world and the most gruesome sides of human nature. This is portrayed in many ways e.g. torture and murder. It shows Ellie's loss of humanity as she desperately seeks revenge even giving up on her life dream. They do a great job with controlling the tempo of this game. You have slow relaxed parts and you have action filled sequences, but you know that you're never safe and you've learned to never let your guard down so you're on edge through the whole game. 10/10.

    Lastly, do not believe the immense negativism that is associated with this game. The negative critique is most likely written by people who have nothing to do with the game (e.g. anti-LGBT) or but*hurt people who can't come to the acceptance with the nature of this horrific post-apocalyptic world. If you played the first and enjoyed it, chances are high that you're going to like this one as well.    … Expand

Secondly, no one really cares nor wants to play as this newcomer, and the game REALLY forces you to like and sympathize with this character, which of course gives the opposite effect and makes you dislike playing as the character even less. By the end of the game, it became a total drag to even play and finish. The story, and the game, gradually feels pointless and exhausting. That might be the intention of the devs, but I can't say I could rate a game that actively making me dislike it as time go on a good game.
    Gameplay is decent. Graphics and voice acting are phenomenon. It's a shame that the most important aspect of the game, the story, is cheapened by shock value, emotional manipulation, poor writing, and worst of all, moral preaching. One of the best things about the first game was the moral ambiguity of the characters. There was no good or bad, right or wrong, just desperate people. In the last of us 2, all of that is gone. There are now clear black and white, with plenty of moral preaching and guilt tripping being thrown around, when you are NOT given any choices throughout the game. I waited like 5 years to play this and it wasn’t as good as I expected it to be. Joel died in a dishonorable way less than 2 hours in. Then the rest of the story we get annoying characters that I had no sympathy for. Jessie was one of my favorite original characters and he also died in a dishonorable way. This whole story was just kind of a let down. Abbys part took WAY too long and I didn’t even care about it AT ALL. The graphics gameplay and music were the only decent part about this game. In the trailers I thought the game would be about ellie and joel but they weren’t. It was some crappy revenge story and we didn’t even get revenge in the end? What? Big let down. If there’s a last of us 3 it better not be like the last of us 2. I had faith this would be good.… Expand

    The story, the graphics the game play and character design is absolutely amazing, I can’t wait to play the third part in 7 or 8 year “maybe”. It’s as good as the first original The Last Of Us game and I really recommend it to play, I think the last of us series is our generation game so stop reading all bad reviews and give it a shot.

I have not played it, but for the thousands of videos that I have seen in detail, the gameplay is somewhat similar to the original, the weapons are good if you use them well, I really liked this and I think that in other games they do not have and it is that when updating the weapon an animation begins to insert that update everything in detail is BEAUTIFUL.

The only thing I knew for sure was that thered be another playable character. First let's state the obvious. The game looks absolutely phenomenal. There no denying that. Also at least for me I didn't have any sort of bugs or glitches in my playthrough, that's another plus. The voice acting was top tier. However, for me the story just didn't work. Im not going to sit here complaining about narrative choices that the developer made. Be it Joel's death or the lengthy play time as abby. They can do whatever it is they want with it. That being said it doesn't mean I have to enjoy it or have fun playing it and I didn't. Personally I feel I would have enjoyed the story more if it was a tv series or movie as opposed to a game. It just didn't have that same "something " that the first game did. Ultimately I play video games to have fun and this game just isn't fun. Clearly its not meant to be and that's ok. Its just not for me.… Expand
