    It is by no means "GLBTQ and SJW propaganda" as some say - those who say so are probably just enraged to see their white male privileges give way to diversity and differences in games.
    Additions to the gameplay made the experience even more vast and diverse. The characters, once again,    An absolute masterpiece and, alongside God of War and Breath of the Wild, bastion of this generation.

    Había ganas de una secuela, había ganas de manejar y conocer más a Ellie. Es una aventura llena de emociones en donde hay varios giros de guión que juegan con tu mente y corazón. La narrativa está sumamente cuidada y se te va contando todo a su debido tiempo. Jugablemente no difiere mucho del anterior, aunque la base es buenísima. I would say from ALL aspects including Abby's sequences; it proved to be a risk well worth taking for naughty dog in my eyes from the shift of antagonist to protagonist. HOWEVER the story seemed unpolished at points and lost the sense of story telling to just getting a message across. I feel that this is partially seen in the ending. This is where Ellie leaves her perfectly happy life only to return to the path of vengeance which ultimately leads her to losing everything along with her fingers, therefore her ability to play the guitar and her last emotional tether to Joel. Not a pretty ending and most certaintly what hardcore fans wanted in the end and the game as a whole.

    STORY
    The story could have been told far better by perhaps staging sequences in a different order. So instead of playing as Ellie for 12 hours (Seattle day 1,2,3,e.c.t) then as Abby for 12 hours, they should have bounced between the two perspectives... Ellie day 1 to Abby day 1 and so on. This would give a deeper connection and more care for all Characters in the game especially Abby and others from her perspective. An example of this is Joels murder but before Abby finishes him you play the first abby flash back and then onto the Joel kills Jerry (Abby's dad) sequence. This would have given us the full scope of things rather than this built hatred toward Abby's character, which game later makes makes you play this 12 hour segment as this hated character with NO CONTEXT by which point I felt like putting the controller down and walking away. The only thing that kept me playing was the need to see what happened a the peak of the story which just lost its momentum switching to Abby at the beginning of the entire story; Its like watching a movie to just before the end and then have to go back to the start so your friend can be up to speed with what's happening. If they just played the sequences in order using both characters perspectives, the pacing of the game wouldn't of collapsed and players would have understood what was trying to be achieved rather than killing our beloved Joel unjustifiably.
    The ending could have been satisfactory if it ended with the first appearance of the Farm with Ellies family along with tying up the lose ends. however kick starting the whole revenge thing wasn't for me which yet again was more about getting the message across rather than story telling. The way things ended up for Ellie was bleak and unnecessary for the story to extend its self to that extent.

    GAMEPLAY AND GRAPHICS
    Gameplay overall was almost exactly the same as the first only with a few adjustments that I found more than substantial.to list a few
    -Dodge mechanic
    -freedom to explore
    -Enemy dogs (morally they could have made it optional to take them out/kill them)
    -Ellies knife instead of shivs
    -New gadgets/weaponry
    -New infected
    Graphically the game is astonishing and despite all the blow back this is the subject everyone can agree is one or the best on the market for this console generation partially on the PS4 pro accompanied with 4k HDR TV/Monitor. For me this already felt like a "next gen" game just because of the way this game looks.

    To summarise this game is deffiently worth the cost, just be prepared for it to cover on some touchy subjects and can tax you as the player mentally. I for one found this game very dark and lingered with me for a couple of days after completing which just shows the effects of some what a good story... just poorly executed.

    It's finally here! I've waited so many years for the sequel and I can say the wait was definitely worth it. TLOU2 improves on nearly all aspects of the previous game, which was already stellar. Strongest points are the incredible atmosphere, the gorgeous graphics, and the solid gameplay mechanics. The writing is good, the characters are interesting, and the entire game is an emotionalIt's finally here! I've waited so many years for the sequel and I can say the wait was definitely worth it. TLOU2 improves on nearly all aspects of the previous game, which was already stellar. Strongest points are the incredible atmosphere, the gorgeous graphics, and the solid gameplay mechanics. The writing is good, the characters are interesting, and the entire game is an emotional roller coaster. I loved it. Took me roughly 28 hours to finish it. I took my time. It's a masterpiece.

O melhor gráfico, os melhores efeitos sonoros, melhores expressões faciais. Porém o jogo peca na em partes na história. Muitas pessoas dizem que o ruim do jogo é o final, porém o final de longe não é ruim O problema é que o desenvolvimento que leva a esse finalEu acho o jogo simplesmente absurdo.     Alright let's get this out the way, the death. Seriously if you are mad because Joel has died by Abby, get over it we all knew this was coming. If you are mad because the main character is lesbian, we all knew she was in the original hello. Third if you are mad because you have to play as abby that is the entire point of this game.     I have nothing to critique in this regard, its easily one of the best looking games up to this date. Textures, lighting, landscapes, gore... But the best aspect by a mile are the facial animations, it's amazing how characters are able to express without saying a word.

When a fanbase becomes as loyal and unanimous in a game's worth, it becomes hard to shake up the formula in any meaningful way without upsetting the players. Joel's death was never going to sit right with a lot of people but I believe it's handle in a very poignant but powerful way. It permeates throughout the whole game as its focus and motivation for many central characters. Ellie's quest for revenge against Joel's killer, Abby, becomes more and more doubtful as we learn that Abby may not be the "villain" we think she is. Even though there are definitely pacing issues to be addressed with its constant flashbacks and time skips, this game manages to tell a powerful story about how we justify ourselves to do otherwise evil deeds,and showcases the good and evil in all of us.… Expand

    The game was really impressive in every way. I don't understand the bad user score. I think a lot of people don't get along with the dark world. And actions from the first part logically have consequences ... even if most players won't like them.
    I hope part 3 will not be 7 years away.

    This game isn't fun, but that's not what it's meant to be. It is miserable, there are no happy endings but if you get over the fact the story doesn't go how you wanted it to go you will not regret playing it.

    This game is a masterclass in how to tell a compelling story whilst delivering emotional gut punches that leave you reeling. Very few video games deliver an experience as powerful as this, it's as beautiful as it is brutal.

    The reason this game is getting such a poor user rating is the same reason GTAV will be on three consoles.the reason why mgs5 butchered the metal Gear franchise. they need to appeal to the lowest common denominator.     Having played the 1st game I think part 2 is phenomenal. Just like the 1st game the story line is amazing and has deep emotions and keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time.

    This game was everything I wanted from a Last of Us sequel. The gameplay was great, and the graphics looked amazing. I was so happy when I first booted the game up. Now my only issue was with the story which had you having flashbacks within flashbacks. Personally I think they should have killed off Joel way later into the game, or maybe build-up Abby's character a bit more before she hadThis game was everything I wanted from a Last of Us sequel. Люди ждут игру,потом ее хейтят и не могут обосновать или очень тупо обосновывают и занижают рейтинг игры(когда она этого не заслуживает).Кто-то её даже не купил,не прошёл потому-что,мол ЛГБТ,смерть главного героя,тогда какой должен быть сюжет или геймплей этой игры?как они убивают только зомби и ходят на охоту,или проходит сколько-то лет и в мире все спокойной нету единого заражённого,люди живут в настоящем времени,оказывается страна где произошёл вирус "кордицепс" только единственная такая с заражёнными.Такого и быть не может ведь это очень глупо,особенно если игру заканчивать хэппи эндом.Ты должен вникнуть в историю сюжета но никак ее не хейтить из-за того что вы её ожидали вовсе другой.Боже играйте дальше в те игры которые играете,а не хейтите то над чем трудились разработчики игры.Я даже не удивлюсь если "Киберпанк 2077" выйдет и её недооценят,потому что игроки ожидали другого нежели сделали CD Projekt RED.Практически каждую игру нашего времени занижают,ведь люди не могут морально отнестись к тому какую игру они видят.(Лично я считаю что я мог ошибиться в своем комментарии.(хотя так и есть вроде как))

    Just finished the game - not entirely sure where all these negative reviews stem from. I was completely enthralled by the story (albeit, some moments were heartbreaking), the physics were great, and attention to detail was awesome. If you’re on the fence, don’t let these bulk meritless reviews scare you away and play for yourself.

    I don't have words to describe how this game affected my feelings. This game have the power to make you fell exactly how Ellie is feeling. The way the storie conects is simply genial. Besides, gameplay is as good as the one we see in the first game with somo improvements. This game is a masterpeace in all aspects.

O jogo é pika e a história mostra como a ellie vai virando um monstro e a "vilã" desse jogo enquanto a abby mesmo matando o joel começa a ser mostrada como uma "heroina". Quem não gostou pq o Joel morreu ou pelo fim que a historia teve tem é mais é que se fuder. Principalmente quem não entendeu a historia. Vai toma no cu Neil Druckman por escravizar a galera que trabalhou nessa obra de arte e eu espero que eles sejam devidamente recompensados por aguentar esse fdp e por conseguir entregar essa mestre peça. Um salve pra galera da mombox e parem de chupar um pouco a pika de the witcher e red dead redemption 2. No mais é isso, a maioria q n jogou ta dando nota baixa (td frescurento)… Expand

    Best game to date I loved it I didn’t like watching Joel die but I’ll take it I generally thought the game was great and they’ll never be a good story like it Naughty Dog did their thing and outperformed I appreciate everyone that was part of this games creation very beautiful. The last of us Part 2 is far from the masterpiece of storytelling the original was, however I would argue that almost all other aspects of the game are improved and are objectively made better, which makes the game still a very enjoyable road.

    Unlike many people, I was not bothered by Joel’s death, at least initially. Once the credits rolled I came to hate the games method of storytelling through overuse of flashbacks, personally, I believe the game would have been much better had you spent the first portion of the game focusing on Joel and Ellie rebuilding there relationship before finally having Abby come in a do her thing.

    Of course to me, the most glaring problem in the game is Abby. Despite giving the game such a high score I still absolutely hate Abby. Lev on the other hand is probably my favourite character introduced in the game and I thought had the most interesting story to tell.

    The gameplay and specifically the combat is what made this game for me, I probably would have scored the game a 6 had it not been for the gameplay which massively improves over the last game. There’s something about the immersiveness of the game that makes the combat so satisfying. One thing I didn’t like about the gameplay is the fact that clickers are much less intimidating and can often be defeated with ease.

    Overall I enjoyed the last of us part 2, but the storytelling decisions are very strange at times and the pacing is ruined by the flashbacks, which though great do a lot to ruin the tension of some scenes.

    The game has me worried for a possible part 3, however if the gameplay continues to improve I’d imagine it’ll still be an incredibly fun game to play, provided you enjoy this type of gameplay.    … Expand

    This game is a masterpiece. Because of this game we get to feel how Joel's actions in the previous game affected the world and the lives of others. The game doesn't tell you the reasons why anything in it happens, but rather it shows it and makes you feel it, that is something else. No game has ever touched me more than this one.

    Spent 40 hours to finish this game, it has impressive graphic, outstanding gameplays and amazing animations. The story is controversial but I like it.

    Wonderful game from start to finish. No matter what people say that it is trash it is definitely not. Yes some things happened that sucked but that is why it's a game. It keeps you guessing and wanting more. I see nothing but game of the year in my opinion and thank you Naughty Dog. Job well done!!!

    They made me fell in love with abby... Now my heart is divided. But I enjoyed the gameplay so much... Till I can ignore the story. The story is OK.. Just OK. But the gameplay and graphic where it shines the best.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So after half a week of reflection and thought process from finishing this, what I would consider, a pretty dang good game. I do not like Part 2 more than Part 1, but to give this game the same/similar score to Ride to hell: Retribution, is just absolutely asinine. I found that at the start, the game is just way too easy. Even on Hard. After Seattle Day 1 as Ellie I discovered that I could create a custom difficulty, and once I cranked everything to Survivor, except keeping my allies at moderate, I had an absolute blast. Everything became much more intense, each encounter went from the same sneaky-sneak or blast my way through with ease, to being unique and different. The enemy became much more aware, items and ammo was much more stressful to find and use. It forced me to rely on all my resources and assets in creative and "on my toes" kind of ways/thinking. It made me feel like I was fighting for my life in a very realistic way. So I think it was meant to be played on Survivor. The combat and gameplay was never the highlight of the first game, so I didn't expect much in terms of improvement, and just the added fluidity and polish to it was more than enough for me. It's a Part 2, not a complete redesign.

    In terms of story, I feel it was pretty solid. Not as focused as the first game, but we weren't even supposed to get a second. It is not the most realistic thing to expect a follow up that wasn't supposed to exist to out do a story that was supposed to be a "one and done". So to come from a story about love, and change it to hate... I feel the story does just fine at making me feel that. People don't like that Part 2 doesn't make them feel good... it was never supposed to, and maybe then the post pandemic survivor games and stories aren't for you if you don't want to feel bad. In the world of TloU, there are not clear good and bad guys, only people desperate to survive another day. Joel was never a "good" person. He has done things to hurt innocent people, he was never a "hero". He doomed humanity for its chance of a total comeback for selfish reasons. And that's just it, the game is about the characters, not the player. A lot of people are mad at the wrong things. Most are mad that Joel dies. His death was unfair, but not because YOU the player like Joel, but because the world that Joel is a part of is unfair. People are mad because you don't kill Abby in the end, while I wish I got to cut her throat, the story is not about what I want. It is about Ellie. Her choices, and her consequences of those choices. And just like she decided to try and start forgiving Joel for taking away what should have been her choice to save the world, she in the last second sees that killing Abby is not who she is, and not who she wants to become. This entire journey takes a HUGE toll on her, and she loses everything because of it. Just because someone is a main character of a story does not mean they deserve a happy ending. Just because the player likes the character doe not mean killing or treating them unfairly is a bad thing. Given the context of this whole TloU Universe, it completely within reason that it ends the way it does. The world does not cater to anyone. Especially the world of TloU. A character named Jesse did not 'deserve" to get shot in the face, but he did. Because we are playing a game in a world that is unfair and all about surviving. In the end the game is not a story about revenge, it is a story about forgiveness. Both Abby and Ellie suffer so much from the choices they make. Abby kills Joel and all the people she cares about die. Ellie goes on a blind mission of revenge and loses everything, she's left with no one. she loses more than Abby because Abby gains something in her story, she gains possibly more than Joel ever did in the first game.

    My biggest issue with the story isn't because of anything that happened, to me it all makes sense. There are some "for shock value" moments that felt a bit too manufactured to get a rise out of the player/me. But the biggest problem I have is the way it's told. You play through 3 days in Seattle as Ellie, then you jump all the way back and play through those same 3 days as Abby and see her perspective. I feel the narrative would have been much more impactful if they ran parallel to each other. It would have made every death and every interaction more impactful. Seeing characters that Ellie kills hours after she kills them made me just not care enough about them to get invested in who they are, because I knew they would die.

    There may be some heavy handed things in this game, but it is not about us the players, it is about the characters. When Ellie gets attacked by a dog and almost dies, Ellie is going to kill the dog. You do not get to spare the dog because Ellie wouldn't spare the dog. All linear games force you to make the choices of the character you play as, why attack TloU Part 2 for not being and any different in that regard?    … Expand

Abby is also an interesting character and although, again some missteps are taken with her I think she is a mirror of Ellie & I believe they are so similar. Ok glad I played this game and I would recommend it to anyone. My score reflects the odd misstep and frustration with some character decisions but it truly is one of the best.… Expand

Some people is just rating the game out of stupidity. There is no LGTB agenda ANYWHERE, we knew Ellie was gay from the first game and now she has a relationship which fits perfectly in whole vengance plot. Joel's death makes you feel angry and it fuels your feeling of vengance, and at the end you realize that Ellie is loosing everything and that Abby has lost everything too. Its not an easy story and that's why is beautiful, the fact that it doesn't give the player what they want doesnt make it a bad game, if you are angry because of that then you are an idiot. And you probably be better playing uncharted knowing that at the end everything is going to be fine. This is a game for grown ups.… Expand

Like the Game of Thrones universe, the world is muddied with shades of gray moralities among the characters - many of which aren't likable or understandable at first impressions. That sometimes changes over time and sometimes not at all. The game-play, combat, graphics, and scope have improved greatly. AI is not the smartest, however.

    I hope some of the gaps in the game's timeline can be played in a future title - there's still a lot of untouched potential based on the can that was opened up with this story. Don't miss this game; but also if you give it a go, try and play through to the ending. The gaming world needs more games of this caliber of immersion & story-telling.    … Expand

    Muchos se quejan de la muerte de Joel, que esperaban? Una muerte lleva de gloria, elogios, un monumento a Joel? Me temo que no se dan cuenta de lo falso que son ese tipo de muertes, ¿que Joel no fue precavido y se confío?, No se si entendieron la historia pero bien claro se dice que en Jackson siempre se aceptaba gente nueva, Joel obviamente ya no era el mismo desconfiado de antes, ahora se tuvo que adaptar a su nuevo hogar

    Ahora el final, un final muy agridulce, ya qué Ellie termina sola y dejando atrás a Joel (dejando su guitarra y tocandola por última vez) está claro que Ellie se dio cuenta que su venganza solo la destruyo, no le causó nada más que perdidas, dolor y sufrimiento. El por qué dejo viva a abby fue su acto de compasión al ver y pensar en Joel otra vez, ya que ella antes de que muriera Joel le dice que quiere perdonarlo por lo que hizo, lo cual nos lleva a abby, Ellie como no pudo llegar a perdonar a Joel lo refleja con abby perdonandole la vida

If they would have given Abby a better character model, she could have been prettier and a little less manly and this would without a doubt be a 10/10 i wont knock a point off for Abby being so ugly lol But because it doesnt have a MP mode ill dock a point since it released with the first game. The game is actually fun to play, visually stunning. Gameplay and sound are forsure better then the first, the story has its ups and downs just like life itself does. Theyre truly alot of beautiful moments in the game and alot where youre like damn what the hell just happen, it has forsure made me never want to put the controller down though. Juego muy muy muy esperado quizás eso a veces juega en contra y se tienen espectativas más allá de las que uno puede obtener en el producto final , en el ámbito gráfico y jugable es de 10 nada que reclamar unos pequeños fallos que no afectan la jugabilidad, lo jugué en difícil para aprovechar mejor la inteligencia artificial del juego lo que me pareció bastante bien los enemigos eran más fuertes y aprovechaban más el entorno para franquearnos, lamentablemente el punto más bajo es la historia , está mal construida nos obligan a jugar con Abby justo cuando ya teníamos el desenlace de la historia pudieron haber hecho capitulo intermedio entre ellie y Abby y quedaba mejor , nos hacían empatizar con Abby y entender la motivación que tenía por matar a Joel pero no , nos hacen jugar con ella como si fuese un juego nuevo eso no me gustó y lo peor es el final uno quiere hacer "justicia" de cierta forma ya que uno siempre es héroe o víctima en su propia historia y se nos prohíbe esa sed de venganza o de querer hacer justicia por algo que se nos arrebato de manera tan abrupta es el único pero ya que en los otros ámbitos es excelente muy entretenido… Expand

Pero la mayoría de las quejas se centren en la muerte que le dieron a Joel, por una razón básica: el juego no es solo una situación, es una acumulación de momentos, sensaciones y acciones que dan un todo. Y que nadie sea capaz de ver más allá me asombra en cuanto a la poca crítica objetiva que hay al respecto (sobran los que se quejan de la muerte de Joel pero sobran aún más los que se quejan de la sexualidad de las personajes)

    Abby es una mujer que quería vengar no solo la muerte de su papá sino también reventar al tipo que dejó sin cura a la humanidad. No podés empatizar con ella? Perfecto, a mí es un personaje que no me gustó, no me identifiqué en ningún momento con ella, pero la clave no es amarla sino entenderla: qué haría uno en su lugar? Acaban de matar a tu papá cometiendo uno de los peores crímenes para la humanidad de paso, QUÉ HARÍAS? Yo te puedo asegurar que siendo Abby lo que le haría a Joel sería peor que lo que le hizo.

    Todos amamos a Joel, y a mí me quebró su muerte. Fue muy fuerte, pero ahí es donde empieza el verdadero argumento del juego: la venganza de uno se convierte en la venganza del otro, y así se crea un ciclo de violencia y muerte que no tiene fin. "Ojo por ojo quedaremos todos ciegos" dice un refrán, y acá quedó más que claro cuando al final Ellie queda completamente sola, Tommy está quebrado y completamente solo.

    No olvidemos que no es "The Last Of Us 2", sino que es "Parte 2". Qué significa eso? Que no es una secuela para ver cómo puede llegar a seguir la historia, sino que es la parte de una historia global que nos faltaba aprender, nos faltaba ver las consecuencias de lo que pasó y entender a su vez que lo que estamos haciendo ahora también tendrá consecuencias que en el caso de Ellie serán brutales, nada favorables.

    The Last of Us part II has beautiful graphic, great gameplay, and emotional story. For me personally, this game is better than the first one.

    Mano, o único problema desse game é a quebra de personalidade de alguns personagens comparado com a parte 1, que prejudica na história, mas o resto é realmente bom.

    Easily one of the best if not the best told stories in video game history. I empathized with the characters on both sides of the story-something a binary good versus evil environment doesn't foster. Motion capture, dialogue, emotion, meticulously recreated setting, musical inclusion- in a word, "immersive."

    A truly masterpiece and incredible achievement in videogame history. F**k all the negative reviews from people who didn't even play the game and are only speaking from the leaks. This game is amazing, it improved so many things from the first one. The story is something you will be digesting for a few days after finishing it, but what is most impressive for me, are the risks Naughty DogA truly masterpiece and incredible achievement in videogame history.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game really took me on a emotional rollercoaster. With the death of Joel I was immediately in rage mode. I literally paused the game for like 30min and I wanted Abby dead. Through the whole game playing as Ellie that was all on my mind and I didn't care to kill anyone. The game really makes you feel this as it shows flask backs with Joel and Ellie (real tough) and kinda made me more upset. But through the journey you take a lot of lives and you can see it starts to way on Ellie and it did for me as well. The game take you through killing majority of the crew that killed Joel until you end up killing Abby's lover and and the woman bearing his child and her. This takes a big toll on Ellie. Through all of this Ellie isn't the only at risk. She puts her lover Dina and close friend Jesse. Dina is actually pregnant and I believe this is why it was so hard on Ellie knowing she killed someone that was pregnant like Dina. The story doesn't end there; it then makes you play as Abby. OMG at first this pissed me off. Personally I let her die a lot on purpose but as her story was revealed it was just sad for both her and Ellie. Abby is the daughter to one of the fire fly doctors that Joel killed at the end of the first game that also wanted revenge. Overall this story is great and not in the way I anticipated at all. This isn't perfect and sometimes the enemy AI is clueless or extra hard for example the clickers would still react towards me being to close though they can't see. Unless there's something I don't know I don't understand that part. Gameplay is still what the last of us is supposed to be but I wish the stealth would've been better or more options. This was a great representation of the cycle of hate and revenge and a long story at that. And I'm glad I got to experience it with avoiding spoilers.85/100… Expand

    es una joya, solo me quejo con el exceso de historia por el lado antagonico pero realmente esta bien desarrollado todo, tiene detalles hermosos que le dan una mejorar experiencia al jugador

    Be an open minded person and you'll like it, even IF the story was trash this game would never deserve a zero, that's how unreasonable most people are when it comes to the user reviews.

    The very last part dragged the game for too long after it should have ended, other than that I liked the bold choices they made and the technical part is outstanding even though the script had some issies.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
