    This game deserve 7/10 from professional critics. But instead reviewing it fair, to preserve their pre-release review privileges they ALL voted it 10/10. This is the main reason for the players reviews-nuking it, don't believe any other reason. Game have really interesting ideas for revenge story by showing both sides perspective buuuut it is really poor made. Plot quality is like 8 seasonThis game deserve 7/10 from professional critics.     The game has very nice graphics and character animations, but the story and ending are absolutely horrific. TLOU 2 literally spits in the face of its predecessor and throws away everything fans liked about the story of the first game.

I first watched a video about TLOF first part and I love the game, after one week I bought the game and I really liked it but this second game was completely trash, I have no problem with LGBT characters but the plot is just bs. I am really sad because I spent some money in this trash game, the game has some good moments but is like a bad movie. So our protagonist just kill a lot of people to get revenge and at the end "she has a redemption" thats not realistic, u can see zukos arc thats how u develop a character. I would not recommend this game… Expand

    It is a nice idea, but there is one problem:
    3rd point is ABSOLUTE, COMPLETE FAILURE, and instead of this you just feel contradiction, dissonance, that developers and critics deceived you. And considering bothering gameplay, with the minimum character development and poor story this is definitely ZERO out of 1000.

Some people are giving this game a bad review because they think it is overly politic - that is complete BS. The game has no politic agenda at all. If you somehow have a problem with that the game contains characters like muscular women or LGBTQ people that exist in our society - you seriously need to change your backwards mentality.

    My problem with the game (and many others as well) is not political, it's the storytelling and character development. Early in the game, an event happens that forces Ellie to go to Seattle on a quest for revenge. The plot is nothing spectacular per se, but it could’ve still been interesting for character development nonetheless. Following Ellie on her quest for revenge is in the beginning mostly enjoyable, but eventually leads to a point where you no longer can understand her actions and even start questioning how they make sense. About halfway through the game, there is a sudden change of perspective, essentially one big side mission that is there to provide the player a better understanding of the context and the characters that have been introduced with the sequel. One of the primary reasons for this sequence is to let players develop empathy for some of the main characters that this new story involves. This simply does not work. At all. At this point in the story, most of these characters have so far been completely despicable without showing any redeeming qualities, and there is little interest nor motivation to see any of the reasons that lie behind this behavior. The explanations we are given fail to justify the actions and the way these explanations are delivered is just so poor and unsatisfying that it came to a point where I no longer wanted to finish it. There are even moments during this part where I put down the controller because I didn’t want to push the button prompts and see what happened next. Hoping it would pay off in the end, I kept playing, but I never got to a point where I felt compassion or truly understood the actions that were made by some characters. The story desperately tries to create empathy for them, but the reasons behind their actions and the “redemption arcs” they go through just leave zero impact on you when you already know what they’ve done. Maybe it would’ve been more impactful if they instead had focused on introducing the backstory of characters before certain important events took place. But I think it essentially boils down to the small amount of backstory we get, and how this small amount is somehow supposed to justify their questionable decisions. While many of Ellie’s decisions definitely are questionable as well, I still can’t help but feel compassion for her. After all, I grew up with her in the first game. The new characters haven’t had this development, and from the start they leave me feeling disconnected. While there are some interesting moments during this later half of the game, for the most part it is just a drag that you want to get through as fast as possible to see if it will pay off. Unfortunately it never does, as the ending at least for me was incredibly unsatisfactory.

    Overall, the game has you for the most part either feeling miserable or angry. It is extremely violent, to the point that it just becomes unnecessary and too much. While there are a few moments that are truly uplifting, they are indeed few. In the beginning I actually felt emotionally moved by many of the events that occurred in the game. But it came to a point where I just stopped caring and even started laughing. While a story of constant misery does seem plausible in a post-apocalyptic world, it also inevitably leaves you feeling void and dissatisfied. This is something that the first game managed to deal with so well – there were both moments of tears but also moments of joy and more importantly, hope. This game extinguished any hope that was created from the first one, and leaves you with only hopelessness.

    Lastly, I will mention that the game really succeeds at creating an atmosphere of a post-apocalyptic world. Environments are absolutely stunning and the soundtrack is beautiful. It is easily one of the most visually impressive games out there today. Gameplay is very similar to the first one, it has a few minor improvements but is far from innovative. At least to me, the gameplay was never the biggest strength of this series, the storytelling was. But the story in this game is a letdown and completely butchers everything that I fell in love with in the first game while immensely failing at introducing and explaining any of the new characters. All in all, if you loved the first game – I’m sad to say you’re probably better off just pretending this game never existed.    … Expand

The story was a contrived mess. Spent most of the time trying to make the gamer like the most unlikable character since Micah Bell. Only this time Micah Bell walks away Scott free. The only thing this game had going for it was the graphics. Absolutely destroyed Ellie’s character for Abbys. What a mess.… Expand

    I really hated playing as Abby, not only did she kill the franchise's most beloved characters in a cold-blooded way but she has poor character development and is genuinely flawed with no redeeming qualities. In the first game, most of the characters were flawed too, such as; Tess, Joel, the fireflies,but they were pushed by a strong narrative that built a strong foundation for these characters which is why we love them. Even though Tess wasn't really explored in the first game, I still remember her and have become attached to her character because of how the story portrayed her to be, a no-nonsense person who does whatever she can to get the job done. The fireflies were an anarchist group that trued doing things their way because they felt that the government has oppressed them so they rebelled and even tried to do their own research of the fungus. But for Abby, she seems to just go to the side to whichever is more convenient for her. She's a character with no foundation except for her dead father. After she switches sides to help Yara and Lev, which in my opinion were the best and most fleshed-out characters of the game, she proceeds to lie and manipulate her closest friends, cheat with her ex and kill her close WLF friends because they were in her way. the game tries so hard to sympathize with Abby and even after playing her for half the game, I still do not sympathize with her and want her dead in the story. The narrative of the story tells how bad revenge is but, in the end, Ellie lost everything because she went for revenge and she didn't even get it, its so sad to see her being treated her like that.
    Too many characters were introduced with a poor narrative that I don't even remember the names of the people that died because of how little they mattered to the story. After these main characters die most of them don't even get mentioned, it's like they never existed.
    I hope you guys tell a much better story in your future games. This was a complete letdown.    … Expand

    If i have to compare the writing of the first game to this it would go from brilliant to braindead. Characters do things that don't make sense making dumb irritating decisions.
    The character Abby (the **** that kills Joel) that we suppose to give a **** about is developed very poorly and in result the fact that we have to play as her makes it very painful for the player in a narrative standpoint.
    I feel shame for all those hard working Naughty Dog employees that had to put up with Druckman's sjw bull**** propaganda. The game thanks to their hard efforts looks beautiful making it the best looking game on the PS4, the sound design also excellent.
    If the game had a decent and competent story like the first one i would probably love it.

    Ignore the plot and play it just from a gameplay perspective and it's actually pretty good.    … Expand

I Need get this off my chest for the people simping for Abby and showing remorse for her i just want to let you know, Joel wasnt the perfect person and yes he did what he did but it was for survival he didnt ask for it but he had no choice you cant just blatantly say Joel deserved to die, he fought many foes along the way to look for a cure and when it was finally the chance to find a cure he choose not to because it would have killed Ellie in the procces but you do need to take in consider that he has lost his daughter on his hands and probabily blamed himself for the cause and as soon as he found Ellie it was like he found his daughter back and he didnt wanted loose her again so he choose to sacrifice the cure to save Ellie's life, yes it was quite selfish of him doing that but you cant blame him after all the hard times he his been through, he lived his whole as a survivor not a saint because thats the harsh reality of this apoliptic world that we live in and in order to survive we need to have a strong mindset and show no remorse for the people who want to cause harm to you and the people who you care about, people like me are upset because the way he was killed it stupid, the guy he could tell an ambush from miles away, Went to some random strangers base and said "Hello my name is Joel i may have killed thousands of people who have been one your family member but i really just cant help myself not telling my name to you all lovely people" like thats not his character. Now back to Abby she killed her own teamates (unlike Joel who cares about his allies and family) and probabily done more questionable things than Joel, She needed to acknowledge that revenge was a bad idea in the first place and accept the death of her farther because sooner or later this was bound to happen to anyone living in this world but you killing the person who killed your dad doesnt make you any better than that person, yes its hard to accept losing someone but her dad asked for it by pointing a gun at Joel you cant blame Joel for self protecting it just annoys how people want to protect characters that dont matter in the story anyway. Naughty Dog dont you get that the reason people liked TLOU is the bond between Ellie and Joel not Abby and her Dad no one cares just stop ruining my experience with this masterpiece of a game like you have seen how people reacted to Walking Dead so im asking you WHY DO THIS? WHY DID YOU WASTE OUR TIME HYPING US FOR THIS GAME FOR 7 FRICKING YEARS? i hope this game was just a troll not the original part 2 because if thats the case then Naughty Dog your standards have gone really down im very dissapointed… Expand

The only reason I’m giving this a game a 4 and not a 0 because the gameplay is solid, the graphics are amazing, and the first half of the story was great. I know a lot people did not like what happened to Joel situation but to me he crossed a lot people and he had it coming. Which goes to my second point, the second half of the game forces you to play someone else to sympathize with this person and tries to justify her actions in the beginning of the game. But I didn’t need 10 freaking hours to explain to me what Joel did was wrong. In the end of the first game I knew Joel went too far and I could not side with him whatsoever. It was a waste of mine and everyone else’s time and could’ve been use for another plot. She could’ve grabbed some of our her group and had a war with Ellie’s group, anything would be a lot more interesting than playing her. One last thing, they really try to push this politically correct garbage into the game. The first game dlc did a great job exploring Ellie’s sexuality, friendship, and everything else. The moron who wrote this game was trying way too hard to get a thumbs up from the pc crowd. Do yourself a favor and wait for this game to be on sale… Expand

    Toda vez que penso em The Last of Us PT2 lembro o quanto foi amargo joga-lo,me senti traído,me senti perdido e quando me deram a oportunidade de pelo menos satisfazer meu desejo de justiça (sim vi como justiça e não vingança) tiraram isso de mim cuspiram na minha cara e disseram você poderia ter uma ótima experiência,mas só terá uma amarga sensação de estar errado.
    Foi triste ver um personagem que se desenvolver tão bem,sendo forte, desconfiado,preciso e objetivo morrer simplesmente de forma que nem pudesse lutar. Mataram por pura luxúria de expor uma política lacradora , destruíram até uma grande personagem como Ellie que no fim com suas escolhas poderia até ter colocado JJ e Dina em perigo por simplesmente deixar uma pessoa fria e assassina que estava disposta a matar seus antigos companheiros da WLF e Dina ainda grávida fugir,odiei cada segundo ter jogado com Abby,ter tentado matar Ellie com seus punhos. Nem Joel foi tão frio quanto ela,e o deram uma morte desonrada.
    Vocês me fazem chorar só de pensar que descartam um de personagem e descaracterizando. Assim como a Ellie que andou e correu riscos de perder tudo e até morrer pra simplesmente no final deixar Abby ir. Triste ver todo sentimento construído através do primeiro jogo sendo jogado fora. However, they go through a redemption story that paints them as very similar to Joel. They are both good people who have done terrible things for their own 'right' reasons. Ellie goes through the revenge cycle, and realizes it is hopeless and pointless. The reason this review is so low is exclusively for the ending. It isn't satisfying, as it horrifically punishes Ellie. Abby does equally terrible things as Ellie, but has no negative aftereffects. Ellie loses her family, fingers and all connections she had left with Joel. Yes, revenge is bad, and it shouldn't be sought to this extent. Abby does lose her friends, but gains new ones. Ellie doesn't gain anything at all from her journey, except pain and suffering. It's set up to hurt, showing Ellie as happy before, and then tearing it away. With a real ending, rather than one that only sought to subvert expectations and hurt a beloved character, This game could have been an 8 or 9. By simply Punishing Ellie as well as the player base, it deserves nothing higher than a 3.… Expand

The writing in this game is one of the worst writings in history, the character development, the situations, the editing, everything is just BAD, really BAD. The gameplay's ok, graphics are just amazing, animations are hands down the best in the market, but no one plays this game for that. The plot is just cheap, the characters are just dumb, they didn't respect the first game at all. The Abby story is just there for the sake of being there, she doesn't have something to say, they forced a purpose with the Scars, all the Hospital part to save someone she just met just to see her die after in a crappy cinematic, it's just sad, sad to see how the developer doesn't even care of what they made you go through just to kill a character that didn't even have to be saved in the beginning, it's just BAD, BAD. I was so disconnected with the main plot that I didn't even think the sniper was Tommy when it was so obvious, and it's the only time you connect something, and it's for nothing and has no sense, Manny being there, Tommy being there, you being there. Everything in this game happens because it needs to happen to move the plot forward. It's lazy, bad, and disrespectful.… Expand

I was really hoping naughty dog wouldn’t go the cheap story route of having Ellie go on a revenge rampage for Joel’s murder. It was predictable and unsatisfying. I also didn’t like how the game tries to make the gamer feel bad for Abby, the girl who murders Joel. Even with her backstory I found her very unlikeable. I also didn’t like the political correctness naughty dog shoves down your throat. I’m not saying you should be offensive but they really want to get patted on the back for their political correctness. Lastly, I didn’t appreciate all the religious profanities and religious slander. I can’t tell you how many times the main characters say JESUS. I am a Christian and tolerate all the f-bombs and violence they throw at me, but there’s no need to isolate a specific religion. The only good things about the game is the amazing gameplay, level design, and visuals. Definitely not enough to save a terrible story especially when the first Last of Us story was phenomenal. Characters' decisions didn’t make sense either. Like how Abby not only spares Ellie and Tommy’s lives at the beginning of the game but also near the end. That just wouldn’t happen in an apocalypse. Let alone twice. Not worth your money. They should never have made a second game or they should have gone with a completely different story then the one that they gave us.… Expand

    The game has pretty good graphics, although they kind of suck at moments (because of the power of the PS4, no doubt). Anyway, the gameplay is also good (as good as the older game).

    HOWEVER, all of that put together cannot at all get me past how awful the story is... I mean, I don't know what they were thinking at all, in the slightest

I think I understand the intent of the developers, but don't think it made for an enjoyable experience. The first game, though desolate, was a beautiful mix of sadness/joy/excitement and ended with me feeling hope. In general, I felt good while playing Part I, and I ended the game feeling good as well.

    With Part II, I felt miserable playing as Abbby. I think the intent was for us to bond with her and sympathize with her, but despite the attempts, I just couldn't. I understand what Joel did in the first game, and don't think Abby was entitled to her revenge at all. I get her tribulations, but her Dad was kinda crazed and I don't feel warm towards Abby and her character arc.

    The violence was also way too much! Perhaps that was the intent? But had I known that, I wouldn't have played it. I feel as though this game was the equivalent to a situation where Voldemort wins at the end of Harry Potter, and then Hogwarts is burned and the Death Eaters win. I would not have wanted to read a story where that version of events played out! Similarly, I was so horrified I had to play as Abby, and beating up Ellie made me want to turn the games off and watch the ending summarized on youtube because I would have needed closure and to know how it ends. Good for the developers for doing what they felt was the right creative intent. This game made me feel bad, and I feel worse off for having played it.

    Some good though, because I think it's important these reviews are balanced. Graphics were amazing, and I DID like the gameplay. Just the story and characters I hated...This is why the ultimate score is 4. I think 0 scores are stupid and too emotional. But I would not recommend this game, and I would not have purchased it had I known how things were gonna play out.    … Expand

If you don't want to know what happens or haven't played it, then please don't read this or any reviews that say this too. Now onto my review of this game. I'm giving this game a zero and I would like to give you my opinion as to why I'm scoring it this low. First, I would like to start off by commenting on that controversial trailer that a lot of people, myself included, are mad about. First Naughty Dog puts out a trailer that deliberately has Joel, a much loved and beloved character in this franchise, in a scene where he seems to rescue Ellie and states to her, "What, do you think I'd let you do this alone." At that moment so many of us were relieved to see that he was alive and well and it gave us the hope and assumption that he would be in the game and that we would be able to play as him or at least go on an adventure with him and Ellie again. Sadly, this was not the case by far and the trailer IMO was an absolute lie to deceive players in thinking he was in the game and had a much better and different role than what he did. Joel gets killed a little after two hours, that's right, a whole two hours into the game, and dies a vey ugly and violent death. You never get to play as him, use him in any way and they (Neil Druckmann and Naughty Dog) completely abandon this great character and just spit on him, both in the game and with their writing, to push him aside to promote other SJW and political agendas.

    You play as Ellie for most of the game and yes, the graphics are the best I've ever seen, the voice acting is excellent and I actually had some fun playing as her. The problem I have is that the game seems to drag on a little too much for my taste, seems redundant in gameplay by doing the same tasks over and over again and just isn't was fun as the first game. The Ellie we knew is dead and buried and we get a very angry, somber and not so funny Ellie as we loved from the first game. I actually don't mind this as I understand that time and bad situations can and will change people. Ellie is a badass and kills a lot of people in her quest to find Joel's killer and avenge him.

    You do get to meet new characters along the way and IMO they are nowhere near as charismatic and interesting as any character in the first game. Bill, was hysterical as the wise cracking, badass acquaintance of Joel and in this game, we get boring, uninteresting characters who you don't connect with as emotionally as any character from the first one.

    The worst of which is Abby. She is the one who kills Joel and everything from how she was designed, her personality and how they just jammed this character down our throats was just way off. You don't once, not once get to play as Joel, Tommy or even a dog, but are force around the 15th hour into this game to play as her for a very long time. The director, Neil Druckmann, in doing this tries to get you to understand her point of view in killing Joel and tries so desperately to make us sympathize with her, but fails miserably. Once Joel dies, we didn't even want to continue playing as the shock, anger and overall confusion just killed our interest in this game. I played on because I wanted to give the game a fair chance but just couldn't do it anymore as they forced us to play as Abby. So many people are upset about this and I understand why. The game is all about revenge and in the end, Ellie doesn't even kill Abby, but lets her go, just walk away free and clear and it makes the whole game pointless.

    You spend hours and hours playing this game, killing hundreds of people to avenge Joel and in the end, they say who cares and just abandon the story altogether. The writing, character development, and plot and so much of this game was wasted by bad writers and a director who clearly lost his way. Neil Druckmann with his own words said that the heart of the Last of Us was all about Joel and Ellie. He said the relationship was the center and they would never do anything to break that bond and he lied. He flat out lied and gave us an horrendous and watered down story to push his own political beliefs and agenda. No men allowed and female empowerment all of the way. You never once play as a man in this game, but play as Ellie, who is awesome and then Abby, who no one cares about. He panders to SJW culture and caters to them but not all of the players and everyone who loves the last of us. This game gets a zero because of that. They abandoned Joel's character and every great thing they did with him and just cast him aside like he never mattered; all to put the spotlight on Ellie and other characters who never come close to Joel. This isn't me hating on women or anything like that, but me hating on people pushing their agendas down peoples throats and giving us no choice but to like it. They lied in their advertising and failed in this game. Don't buy it or play it if you loved the first game.    … Expand

If you really cared about those characters (like I did) then give this a hard pass. The level of narcissism shown by Druckmann is unfathomable. I cannot imagine how he was allowed to derail what could have become a billion dollar franchise. This game will be bought by many loyal fans and like me they will feel betrayed by the false advertising and the blatant lies that tricked them into parting with their money. Sure the game has pretty graphics and smooth game play but beyond that it is soulless. It desperately attempts to be clever by forcing you to commit acts of atrocity and then preaches to you about how awful this is... it’s moronic, patronising and simply fails on every level. The female writer that delivered the brilliant original had no hand in this utter garbage and it shows. I will never buy anything remotely connected to Neil Druckmann ever again. I sincerely hope that his career is over. Don’t waste your time or money, Ghost of Tsushima is coming out soon and then CyberPunk is following later on this year. My advice is to save your money for what are much more likely to be quality entertaining titles. Or if you really need an apocalypse fix and haven’t yet played Days Gone, it’s definitely worth a look, it’s the entertaining sequel that this game should of been    … Expand

(Reminds me of East German Theatre prior to the collapse of the wall). It feels forced, illogical and the main moral "point" completely misses the mark based on player's experience with the original. While in university I remember having to sift through tons of bogus academic articles that applied Freud to literally everything... Yes, the graphics in the game are beautiful and detailed! but you won’t leave it alone, the game is very lightweight even at a high level of difficulty it didn’t impress me, the mechanics of the game are also too primitive, I really looked forward to its evolution, but it didn’t work out, so my rating is only 3!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have wrote so many reviews and signed many petitions that I will keep it to the point with my reasoning behind my rating. My personal opinion follows: I think that the reason why The Last Of Us part 1 was such a success was the relationship between Ellie and Joel. You watch the beautiful character development between the two. However you get to part two and it completely destroys everything from the last game. Not only is it just a disrespect to fans, but Joel deserved a more dignified death. Lastly the game forces you to play a character you despise and want dead. Then tries to forcefully make you pity them and understand their reasoning. The game then makes you fight against Ellie, the one person you root for the whole time. I dont care about any other controversy. Transgenders? Lesbians? Gore? I don't mind any of it. The only reason I didn't give it a 0 was because the gameplay was nice, while the story was poor.… Expand

    Mediocre game play. Certain things shoved down you throat. 100% just buy a used copy for $5. Worth playing but no where near retail price to pass the time.

La historia es buena asecas pero al final no se logro nada, al menos Joel en el juego uno salvo a Elli.     I played through the entire game, I forced myself to finish after the insulting way the characters were treated and how we as players were treated and cried for days. I mean ugly cry and devastated and disappointed and crushed because they butchered everything in the very WORST way possible so that it couldn't even be saved by nice graphics and gameplay. I wanted to love it. I wanted to make excuses for the pile of **** story telling before me but it's damn impossible if you're even a little attached to the true characters of part 1. Go ahead and watch moist meter tlou 2 on YouTube for a better understanding as to why many LOYAL fans are now upset. I cared for this franchise in a concerning way and I rooted for everyone involved and loved the characters and they came up with the worst damn ILLOGICAL dumb storyline I've ever seen and making the characters act out of character and plain stupid for the sake of a stereotypical "revenge is bad" message.     Historia sin sentido, toman a tu personaje favorito y lo hacen parecer el mayor imbécil sabiendo que siempre fue una persona experta en lo que hacia, la conveniencía del guión supera los límites muchas casualidades, el objetivo final la satisfacción no es concluida toda tu travesía sin    No hay palabras para describir este juego, iniciar por lo bueno ( animación, actuación, sonido gráficas )

Даже если забыть о прогрессивных (но чисто формально прикрученных изолентой и ни капли не разработанных) либеральных идеях, в которые авторы методично тычут игрока носом, большинствоИмея дело с сюжетной игрой, мне кажется справедливым предъявлять высокие требования именно её сюжетной составляющей. И с ней у The Last of Us Part 2 кое-где - очень спорно, а как правило - откровенно плохо. Даже если забыть о прогрессивных (но чисто формально прикрученных изолентой и ни капли не разработанных) либеральных идеях, в которые авторы методично тычут игрока носом, большинство сюжетных поворотов вызывает недоумение. Почему в мире игры началась масштабная война кланов? Чем вообще мешают одни другим? Ради чего руководитель военизированной группировки, держащий подчинённых в ежовых руковицах, потакает их жажде мести, рискуя при этом ценными кадрами? Что за странный пиетет перед беременностью в условиях всеобщей жестокости и непримиримости? Наконец, что влечёт настолько резкие переломы в характерах, когда человек в мгновение ока и без очевидных причин превращается из принцессы в оторву, из трусихи в отчаянного берсерка, или из уравновешенного рационалиста в кровожадного солдафона?

    Ещё одно новое со времен первой части (помимо примитивно преподносимого активизма) развлечение, которому сценаристы никак не нарадуются - это смерть второстепенного персонажа. При ответственном подходе - приём весьма мощный, но в TLoU2 эксплуатируемый беспардонно часто, быстро приедающийся и перестающий вызывать какой бы то ни было эмоциональный отклик. Довольно скоро примитивную логику сценаристов раскусываешь и с огромной точностью начинаешь наванговывать действующим лицам скорую кончину (ради которой они в большинстве своем, судя по всему, на экране и появляются).

    Отдельная тема - диалоги. Хотя долго говорить о них не получится: они просто объективно ужасны. Вы знаете, если б персонажи не говорили вовсе, это было бы, хоть и странно, но лучше. Общение действующих лиц здесь целиком сводится к: 1) неловким паузам, 2) ультрапафосным фразам вроде "я никогда не предам друзей" или "отец учил меня всегда следовать за светом". В мире, где ежеминутно предают, стреляют из дробовика в лицо, заживо сжигают и вываливают на песок кишки, настолько приторное морализаторство выглядит нелепо.

    Вообще удивительно, в какую безвкусицу удалось скатиться опытной именитой студии, заработавшей блестящую репутацию именно на нарративных играх. Хотя даже тут можно углядеть закономерность: идейный вдохновитель Naughty Dog Нил Дракмэн, с одной стороны, соседствует с Кодзимой в немногочисленном списке творцов, в угоду своим амбициям забывающих о вкусе, а с другой - с огромным количеством современных средненьких авторов, ставящих во главу угла тупую политическую злободневность. И тот факт, что сомнительный курс одного человека перекрывает значительные достоинства проекта (результата кропотливой работы огромного коллектива) - очень обидно.    … Expand

No se trata de lloriqueos porque muera Joel, ni homofobia ni nada parecido. El punto es q el juego original era una historia q te hacía querer a unos personajes, pero era SU historia. Este juego coge a esos personajes y los usa para contar un mensaje q, aun estando bien, desconecta a algunos jugadores. Personalmente es un juego q me ha enfadado y aburrido porque no es lo q esperaba y sobre todo no es lo q me vendieron. Me parece una historia aburrida y reiterativa. Y las maneras en las q intenta manipular al jugador no soy capaz de tragarlas. Cuando aparece lev y hacen q te intentes encariñar con el es de no creerselo. Para algunos de nosotros eso es ridículo. Entiendo a quien adore el juego pero yo no pude disfrutar el juego durante más de 15 horas deseando q acabase y q muriese todos de una vez. Y como yo creo q mucha gente. Y si no entras en ese juego de manipulación y una estructura q te puede sacar de la historia muy fácil es imposible disfrutar de la experiencia. Ese ha sido mi caso y para mí es un suspenso porq todas sus virtudes son mucho menos importantes para mí q sus errores. Y creo q como yo somos muchos. Más allá de review bombing (gente q no ha jugado o q tiene prejuicios sin sentido) somos muchos los q simplemente nos ha parecido malo el juego. Y se me hace tan raro q de toda la prensa nadie piense de la misma manera o parecido q me hace sentir q soy estúpido o q de verdad esta gente vive en una burbuja en la q solo importa ese "avance" del medio con el q estoy de acuerdo q este juego participa. Este juego con otros personajes sería un 10. Como secuela de the last of us me parece muy muy mala. Porq es un juego aparte q usa sus personajes antiguos para un fin y no para seguir desarrollandolos. Y lo bien desarrollado que está el personaje de Abby y el interés y el buen guión q tiene toda esa parte aun hace, en mi opinión, peor el juego porq aun deja más claro como los personajes q te importaban han sido mutilados a personajes planos con un simple objetivo narrativo. Y todo esto sin hablar de cambios de opiniones repentinos de los personajes, decisiones q como poco son dudosas y un uso de los tiempos a mi juicio irreal (imposible creerse ese amor entre las chicas cuando llevan "saliendo" cuatro días o ese cambio radical de Abby con lev cuando lo conoce literalmente la noche anterior). En general me parece una mala secuela y un guión tramposo y previsible y q no pone el foco en las incógnitas del anterior juego. Una decepción enorme que me ha jodido las dos ultimas semanas y q me ha hecho perder la confianza en este estudio porq considero sinceramente q esta dirigido ahora mismo por alguien demasiado pretencioso y q no ha sabido poner el foco en lo q la gente quería. Muchos de nosotros al menos. Si tanta gente ha salido decepcionada de esto cuando del primero nadie lo hizo es q algo ha pasado.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game had me fooled from the beginning, I managed to avoid any and all spoilers and preordered the thing. That was my first mistake.

    My second mistake was somehow believing that the trailers they presented of the game would actually
    would be happening in the game with minor alterations,

    I thought I would be playing as one of the main characters from the first game, just like they said before launch.

    I started to play the game and from the beginning I felt something was off, the atmosphere was a bit off and I couldnt connect with any of the characters, even the old ones. Around two hours in and the thing happened and I was shocked and appalled not because it happened but how out of character abrupt the whole situation was, it felt rushed.

    I carried on playing and tried to get a grip of the story, but around five hours in I became bored.
    I understood the point of the game, but the acting felt forced and of lacking any impact apart from shock value.

    I guess I should have voted with my wallet and returned the game to the shop, but they would not
    accept refund.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
