    When "game journalists" (failed art reviewer wannabes) give unanimous perfect scores for political reasons, you can pretty much throw the game in the trash. It's the tedious political "art" that "game journalists" would rather be reviewing than games, since they aren't gamers and don't know how to do their jobs and review an entertainment product for the intended audience.

    Al final del juego luego de que ellis mate a mucha gente para llegar hacia la asesina de su figura paterna al final ellis reflexiona y llega a la conclusión de "la venganza no es buena" y lo es no es buena pero tuvieron que poner una opción de dejarla viva o asesinarla osea un final alternativo donde escoges venganza pero nooo solo hay un final y es dejarla viva luego de asesinar a un montón para llegar a ella osea que puto asco un juego que tuvo muchas expectativas y fue un asco en historia y bastante desperdiciado no se compara a asu antesesor la verdad ni debería ser canon xd en cuanto a gameplay no hay quejas es lo mismo que el 1 pero la historia lo cual era su mayor fuerte dejó un enorme mal sabor de boca una completa decepción.    … Expand

    I have never reviewed a game before. I'm only doing this due to the fact that this game received so many "official 10/10" reviews and I just can't understand that.

    I gave it such a low rating because I feel so betrayed. I didn't enjoy The Last of Us (original) because of it's gameplay or it's graphics, I loved it because of the story. I can't tell you how moved I was by Joel and his    I have never reviewed a game before.     I gave it such a low rating because I feel so betrayed. I didn't enjoy The Last of Us (original) because of it's gameplay or it's graphics, I loved it because of the story. I can't tell you how moved I was by Joel and his character development all due to his experience with Ellie. As a father, I can understand Joel and I can relate.

    I wasn't going to preorder this game since I knew it was going to focus on Ellie and I was made aware that there was going to be a lot of reference to her relationship. However, I thought to myself, Naughty Dog has never let me down before, so I should have faith in them. Instead, I will never preorder a game again. I have been let down too often by poorly executed games (ie. Destiny, Battlefront, Battlefield 1 and 5, etc).

    Once they killed off Joel, the person I was most interested in, the game felt very empty. While Ellie can be interesting, she's still a teenager. The fact that I have had to listen to so much teenagey romantic dialogue makes me want to just throw the game in the trash.

    If all you care about is good graphics and amazing sound development, then you'll love this game. This is why I gave a rating of two instead of a zero.

    However, I think Ellie going on her quest for vengeance with a friend , of any gender, would have been more engaging. The "brotherhood" bond that is formed via survival is deeper than teenage romance. Ask any person who has served. However, it feels like her love interest is just a tag along and I just wanted her to go home the entire time.    … Expand

    I prefer the first one. The game is fun in someway but i didint like to play it. Maybe they try to more focus on PC and then can do better games. There is a big problem in this game and its a big hype balloon. Its nice to see that exploded! You can play for the story and nice story telling but thats all u can get.

I'll name two; Joel goes from not trusting anyone in LOU1 to open arms and trusting a random girl named Abby to go visit her friends... yeah right. Another is that in the first game, Joel killed nearly every firefly in that hospital, somehow the leftover few soldiers just knew the man that killed everyone was Joel and told everyone? Cut me some slack.

    The story could've been way better if they went with something like Abby's group took over Joel's safe area, killed nearly everyone but Joel, his brother and Ellie. Joel's brothers wife or whatever got killed and that's the revenge to take back what is yours and seek revenge for killing all your friends... Something like TWD, Negan vs Rick's team.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Jesus, man. This was one of the most hyped up games of the last several years and it comes out like this. As one could easily assess, a majority of the hate comes from the very questionable plot choices and the shift in tone from the original game. I am unsure what the developers were going for when writing this thing. Let me try and mention some points that haven't been said already.

    One argument I have read is that it was completely contradictory for Joel to say his real name to Abby's group based on how careful he was in the first game. However, I still believe that he would have been screwed regardless since there was a good chance that Abby would've brutally tortured Joel and Tommy for information. She only let Ellie go free because she got her target, but if Joel did not reveal his name, there is a good chance that all three of them (Joel, Tommy, and Ellie) would've been killed for risk of warning the settlement. However, that still doesn't excuse the dog crap storyline.

    Secondly, the people who are hating on this game for its political agendas are completely justified. Look, I have no issue with LGBT characters in media, but man they really shove it down your throat in this one. This is the equivalent of that one white kid in social media that won't stop spamming Black Lives Matter. I have the right to be uncomfortable by what I see on my tv screen. Looking at Abby's ripped physique is not only unsettling, but also unrealistic. It started to feel like I was playing a porn parody instead of a game. All I'm saying is that developers need to think about the demographics of they're audience. For videogames, it's most likely gonna be straight males. And men don't want buff women and lesbian antics, they want Joel.

    In the end, without a quality story, TLOU2 isn't enjoyable to play. The game is nothing but a hollow husk of its predecessor. Druckmann himself said the game wasn't supposed be fun. Instead he used the word "engaging" to describe it. So i guess I'll "engage" in the fact that Cyberpunk 2077 now has a good chance of getting Game of the Year.    … Expand

    All in all it switched the grey moral area created by the first game and made it black and white, they lied to fans who were excited i am going to do what i did with the star wars movies deny its existence.

Here it comes!...” but the pulse stayed the same – that kills any chance to enjoy the new TLOU.

    I'd definitely not recommend purchasing unless you're really really out of big games to go through and your grandma has left you some royal $60 inheritance you don't know how to spend. From my side – “Disappointment of the Year Edition” fits on the TLOU: 2 box best.    … Expand

    The graphics are gorgeous, the facial expressions are the best I've seen on PS4, but the story is childish and silly, and the game as a whole is pretty boring. The gameplay has barely changed since the first game and the AI is pretty bad. The way the characters from the first game are treated is plain insulting.

Naughty dog honestly shouldn’t even have made a part 2 to this game if it was gonna be this bad. I was in complete shock at Joel and Tommy’s character play when they just decided that it was okay to follow Abby to her hideout like what the **** happened there.... Joel and Tommy in part 1 would never trust a stranger nor would they even reveal their real names!! It was just really mind blowing how naughty dog decided to trash those two characters just to have Abby, this random new character that no one and I mean LITERALLY NO ONE WANTS TO PLAY AS just to kill Joel out of nowhere and basically make her the new protagonist. She also asks Joel to guess who she is like wtf... are we supposed to know you when u never appeared in part 1?? Wtf was the point of Joel’s character build up??? What was the meaning of Ellie and Joel’s journey?? Just so Joel could his head caved by a golf club?!     Lo único salvable del juego es el gameplay innovador respecto a la primera entrega y algunos momentos de Ellie con Joel.
    Es triste ver que la ideología de lo políticamente correcto arruinó el legado del primer juego, nadie tenía problemas con que Ellie sea lesbiana pero no hacía falta hacer que la historia gire en base a eso.

The story was immensely poor with subplots going nowhere, characters acting out of character inconsistently. Heavily pregnant people running, jumping, climbing and leaping from buildings somehow? Introducing characters nobody cares about and making you care for them for over 10 hours only to kill them off anyway.

    Then there’s the worst character to be introduced into any video game ever, Abby who has a personality of a wet fish, who becomes the most unlikeable character in the game after she kills Joel and try’s to justify it by saying, that Joel killing her dad after he pulls a scalpel on him is okay and enough of an excuse to kill him?? The graphics was also buggy, mostly when your playing as Ellie, and the cringe sex scene was so out of place and unnecessary just like Abby’s half of the game.

    Overall TLOU2 is a miserable excuse of the game which prefers to focus on pandering rather than interesting gameplay. So the reason why most people hate it, is because it was a really big disappointment for fans who were looking forward to decent sequel to match up the first game.    … Expand

    There's a great quote by film maker, David Lynch, as to whether any of his movies give a message to his audience, and he responded, 'If I wanted to give a message, I'd send a telegram".

    Herein lies the problem with 'The Last Of Us 2'. Rather than follow a cohesive narrative, built upon the deep characterisation and story arc which TLOU1 had, TLOU2 is more of a vehicle for 'in your face' virtue signalling, identity and gender politics - at the sacrifice of story and your knowledge of the characters and their previous actions.

    Fans were baited-and-switched with promotional videos, showing Joel saying various lines and aged to portray he was taking a bigger part of the role. Sadly, in today's climate for a particular type of lead character - he's sacrificed on the 'stunning and brave' altar early in the game.

    The writing and characterisation of the Joel and Ellie flashbacks feel wooden and flat: I recognised the 3d models and voices, but their interactions and conversations were alien to me and one-dimensional.

    The game includes a transgender bed scene which is so out of place and 'forced' (to coin a phrase into the story - it's almost as if Druckman included it solely for virtue points over it having some progression of story and character.

    You then play as Abby for the rest of the story and there was not enough there to make me feel immersed in this character. The ending was a grind and will leave players unsatified and cheated .

    Forced to follow and be followed by a cast of unlikable and uncompelling characters. I felt more of a connection with the horse in the game than the supposed romantic interest. Overall, I don't think I've ever been more frustrated by the decisions of dev studio before. A real let down of a story.
