    Siendo completamente objetivo, esto no es the last of us, basicamente se nota a distancia que trataron de forzar una agenda política de inclusión social por medio de eliminación de personajes principales a modo que les convenga para ajustarse a su narrativa y dejando de lado la forma de ser estipulada por el canon de los personajes.

    La Gráfica es Impecable, paisajes que te sacan el aliento, ambiente sonoro que te transporta a este mundo post apocalíptico , pero teniendo en cuenta que es un juego el cual no guía la historia y dado que la historia parece que la sacaron de un fan fiction de las profundas oscuridades de tumblr no es algo que se pueda disfrutar, hay muchos vacíos en la historia sin contar que hubo momentos en los cuales simplemente era aburrido jugarlo, tentado a dejar el juego sin terminar logre terminarlo solo para llevarme la sorpresa amarga de un final desagradable a falta de una mejor palabra.
    Es un insulto a los fanáticos de la franquicia y una desgracia para la industria de videojuegos. Honestamente esperaba algo mucho mejor, ya que tuvieron casi una década para prepararlo y lanzarlo y nos entregan este "juego" el cual simplemente no vale la pena jugarlo.    … Expand

The story is incredibly boring, mainly due to the weird fact that you play with a character that you don't care about for 10 hours... The ending is very disappointing, it's like the writers gave up midway. Graphics, animations, and voice acting is as you would expect from a AAA game though. All in all, wouldn't recommend.… Expand

    Anyone give me example of movie or game or cartoon or something that main character from EP1 die like a dog in EP2 and got positive reaction from audience.

    Cons : Story is so bad that calling it bad is a understatement .
    Whatever left wing political agenda you can think of, it's inserted in there in your face.
    The game forgets about all the important things from part 1 eg - Ellie is the vaccine plot.
    You don't get a proper closure, just emptiness and a lot of WTFs.
    No payoff, characters inside make decisions that can make your head spin.
    All expectations are subverted ( some might think this is a pro, not me).

    Mediocre : Sounds and music can be better. ( part 1 does it a bit better )
    Combat is better but not as good as recent AAA titles.
    Repetitive game-play.

    I am severely disappointed even-tho i really try to like it.
    I am just a normal person who wish to enjoy games as an escape from reality.
    I will vote with my wallet carefully next time.
    I wish I could give it a 2 or 3 in the score but the story just kills every single cell in me to give it anything positive.

    It really does blow my mind trying to figure out what they were thinking when they made this game. I spent so long anticipating this game, avoiding social media for spoilers just to play it, and I'm in shock right now. Not the good kind, not the kind they tried to instill in this ham-fisted disgrace of plot development. I'm angry I spent money on this.     First of all the gameplay is the same as the previous game. It is repetitive and boring. The story is absolute trash . I don't know who thought that this would be a good idea. This is just making a shocking content just to make shocking content. The Visuals are great but after a while you see the same and the same. This is not a game that you will want to replay after beating it.

    I can't believe this game is in the same franchise as the first one, the gameplay is outdated, has a lot of exposition scenes trying too hard instead of happening naturally like the first one, and the characters are just simply unlikeable. TLOU rose above because of the story, but they just dropped the ball here.

I want gamers to know that the game is not a fun or entertaining game like the first one, it is a horrible story that messes with the fans of the series. The game should have never been made. Imagine if you bought the first game thinking that the second game would be similar. Is that logical? Yes, for sure. If the first game was centered around a SJW agenda, then the second would be okay in my book because you could expect more of the same. But that is not the case with part 2. That is wrong. The Last of Us Part 2 is a horrible game, with a horrible story, a horrible agenda, made by a horrible company. I will not support Naughty Dog ever again. I will not support a lot of the video game sites that lied with their fake scores either. Naughty Dog to me is immoral like EA. I don't support that company either. I will vote with my wallet.     .....and what a snooze fest. The story is not only awful, but the gameplay is SO dragged out that by the time you reach the next cutscene or telling point you’ve forgotten what was going on in the first place. Also there is a lot of ‘Go here and find this person to then find this person and then find this person’.....jeeeeez it is is dull. The only thing I can give this game is the graphics and sound design, the visuals are absolutely stunning (but even then the scenery gets repetitive reallllllyyyy quickly). Also I did like the gun animations whilst on the work bench, they were dope so whoever made those good job. Overall if you’re thinking about buying this game i’d advise you to save your money and just watch a walkthrough on YouTube if you’re still debating it, you’ll no doubt turn it off within a few hours anyway. Final note: Neil Druckman and Naughty Dog should be ashamed at not only the game itself but also the way they handled the leaks, the team had truly showed their colours and for this reason alone I won’t even be resaling my copy but instead throwing it in the bin, no one should have to endure this garbage narrative.    … Expand

    As my friend said "it's like playing Uncharted 4, and 1hr into the game Nathan Drake misses a ledge and dies. You get to finish the game as his orthodontist trying to find that ledge"

    The original story of Joel and Ellie felt so f-ing real to me that I fell in love with this duo at first sight. Don't want to sound like crazy, but Joel really became some sort of a father figure to me. I replayed the original game dozen of times and I was so-so happy when the sequel was announced.

    And now I just... I feel like I was betrayed by someone really close and the whole world tries to justify this by saying "You just mad at the writers for killing off your favourite character! You are not smart enough to understand the narrative reasons for all of this!"

    People defend this game and say that it is genius writing, but actually it is just a bunch of cheap twists and bad storytelling. Characters are completely butchered and even the main message of the story is not just confusing, but completely meaningless. Neil Druckman hurt himself in confusion while writing this game.    … Expand

The story is riddled with plot holes, with characters from the first game making laughable decisions and acting completely out of character. The voice acting is let down by the horrible and at most times boring dialogue. The generic revenge plot line has been done a 1000 times before and TLOU2 adds nothing new, even taking the worst tropes from them and finishing it off with an lacklustre and disappointing ending. Even though the first games plot line was nothing unique, it was uplifted by its characters and the contrast of their relationship against the harsh backdrop of the apocalypse. If you are looking for whatever made the first game good, you will not find it here (try RDR2).    … Expand

    I've been playing this game for 8-9h now and want to share my thoughts. This game is really pretty and have a lots of details that make the game enjoyable to look. On the ps4 fat the game look ok but it look way better on ps4 pro. The gameplay is recycled from the first one and feel outdated and slow compare to other games. I put a 1/10 on metacritic because of the "journalists" that put 10/10, saying that is a masterpiece and a revolution in the gaming industry when this isn't.… Expand

    I've never waited for a game so long in my life. At 60 years old, this is the only game I would play besides COD with my stepson. That being said, I could not have been more disappointed. I was willing to look past the sexuality that Druckman threw in because of our politically correct climate. However, he went too far with attempts at the shock factor. 2.5 hours in and I am done. Needless to say TLOU2 has some amazing graphics and great atmosphere designs, and the devs who worked hard for this game should get their well-deserved praise, but this is not what I'm trying to talk about in this review. You see TLOU2 has some really serious issues when it comes to character development and representations in the game. Take Asian characters for example. We got Jesse, who's a mediocre Asian character at best, acted as nothing but a plot device that contributes the development of Ellie and Dina's relationship, and he was literally a sperm donor. You heard that right. He made Dina pregnant so she and Ellie could have a chance to start a new life together as a lesbian couple after his pathetic and anticlimactic death (which is worse than Glenn's death in TWD imo). How is this a good representation of Asian males in video games, seriously? At least most Japanese devs know they need to make their Asian characters kick-ass when there's nothing they can do to make the characters more likable. We also got Yara and Lev's mother, who acted exactly like an extreme traditional and stereotypical Asian parent--she was willing to give her 13-year-old trans daughter Lev to a local elder as a child bride, and abused Lev when he refused to comply, really? If they were all black characters, I would imagine there must be some outrage on social media already. I just don't get why does Neil Druckmann hate Asians so much that he decided to make them all weak and incompetent (even the trans character Lev needs to be protected by Abby, a strong white woman) in TLOU2. What's worse is that these characters can be easily fixed so they can be under a more positive light, it's not like they have super complex characteristics to begin with anyway. In conclusion I'm disappointed. As an Asian I don't really mind when Asian characters can only get the less important roles in any western video games, but please make them good and not just dry and unlikable punchbags like this.… Expand

    The first game was a masterpiece, the second is total garbage! It has better graphics which is expected and gameplay looks almost the same. Main issue is the story, they ruined the franchise. If I wanted a nonsense message I'd rather get it from a fortune cookie.

As someone who loved the first game , this sequel is a complete waste of time and don't deserve the hype it got , the first time I saw the leaks were Joel being hit by a golf club I said to my self I will give another chance and play the game until I saw another leak of Joel saving Abby from a infected attack then I lost my **** and said I'm not playing it but I take it back and said I will play it and see what's the ending will be , so after I said that I searched TLOU2 on YouTube and i saw the ending and omg it's so bad the game of thrones s8 is way more better then this **** , basically the ending is tommy finds Ellie and dina with their baby in a house , tommy gave Ellie we're Abby would be so Ellie goes after her and find her hanging on a tree and she was so skinny , cut her down with Lev and waited her to get on the boat until she grabbed her hair and fought , Ellie was going to kill her then she remembers Joel sitting playing some music with the guitar and stopped, and them she spares her and till got to go , I have waited 7 years for Thai **** , really I mean really really , I'm sad and mad and I hope Neil **** would **** die .… Expand

    But they never understand what actual normal gamers want to have, very simple, a good story plot.

    The game just simply ruin everything it built up in first title release.

    WTF happened to Joel? Joel can be dead but not in this way.
    Where is his intelligence?
    Where is his cautious personality?

    TLOU world is A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE world.

    Bad story telling skill, chaotic timelines, just don't use flashbacks if you can't handle properly.

    I stopped playing in the middle of Abby, i just can't play the game anymore.
    To those people who want to criticize me, i don't need to eat the entire plate of food to know it is delicious / if i like the food, just like i don't need to play the whole game to know it is good / if i like the game.

    Now then, to sum this game up, I would have to say that the game is glorified torture porn, with amateur levels of story writing. I would rate this lower if it wasn't for the very real possibility of my review being deleted.
    The game essentially starts out with the main character, Joel, from the first game being brutally murdered in front of you, the viewer's eyes, and his surrogate daughter. Then you're forced to continue playing as this psychotic monster that would murder an old man in front of her daughter, fast forward to the end, Abby, the psycho who murdered Ellie's surrogate father has been crucified for several days, and has been tracked down by Ellie. Now any reasonable person would assume that Ellie, the seasoned murderer set on revenge would finish the job and kill Abby, but instead she has a flashback about Joel, the also seasoned murdered who wouldn't hesitate a second to murder Abby if she did that to Ellie. Ellie decides to spare Abby for some reason, but then she has the same flashback about Joel and now decides she can't leave after all. This was a huge mistake because this psychopath who has been starved and crucified for days has the strength to obliterate Ellie, as she easily bites off her fingers as if they were baby carrots. The game ultimately ends with Abby sailing away scot free, Joel left unavenged, and Ellie's life completely ruined (Abby did a lot of other stuff to her like beating her girlfriend half to death. Ellie's girlsfriend getting pregnant and leaving her)    … Expand

The gameplay is too similar to the first game, which in my opinion is outdated, but maybe they wanted to make it familiar to old players.

    The story of this game is absolute trash, they kill beloved characters just for the "viewer-shock" purpose of it, their deaths weren't well developed and didn't add up to the game in a hole.

    I will say this game would be good if it was a stand alone game not releated with the "The Last of Us Franchise", but they just destroyed everything the franchise was based on and replaced it with a poor story line.     The decisions characters make are laughably comical, people change their minds on a whim and in a game trying to be serious it feels like someone made a painting of a lifelike stick figure pretending it was a work from Michelangelo.

    Gameplay though improved from the original still works and is at best serviceable to get to the main and end objective of a Last of Us game which is the story. The combat looks better, and feels a bit better but its like putting a fresh coat of paint and asphalt over a bridge you've gone over for years. It'll get you to you're destination.

    And the journey that this game will be taking you through will be filled with shock value, things are not setup properly, payoffs are weak and disappointing, things will happen that will be attributed to the game world being harsh and unforgiving but in reality are just dumb and not thought out.

    The game features a meandering plot, flashbacks, and just not a hint of remorse for the players that will be, in the vein of The Last of Us Part II, torn to pieces towards silly plot-points, long side "missions", and an ending that would and should make the player feel absolutely sick to their stomach and not in any way signifying that the story works. It is because the story how ever you look at it does not work that the player feels betrayed, abandoned, and baffled.

    Six to seven years of development, Neil Druckmann and all the other higher ups in Naughty Dog that let this happen wasted fan goodwill, wasted the efforts of the graphic team, the technical team, the sound team, and all the other hardworking men and women trying to bring entertainment and enjoyment to the people.

That weekend, I literally went out and paid hundreds of dollars to buy a PS3 *specifically* to play that game. I’ve now beaten the original TLOU on every difficulty level. 100%. I’ve read the entire Wiki. I took home the store displays and posters of the game when my local GameStop got rid of them. I’ve stanned that game to all my friends and family for years, whether or not they're gamers. I’ve watched people on Twitch speedrun it to completion, hundreds of times. TLOU is one of the best “movies” I’ve ever seen and one of the greatest video games I’ve ever played. I used to check IMDB every week or so, specifically to see if there was any news on the TV series, even after it was cancelled the first time.

    But now all of that is gone. I have zero interest in this franchise now. That's what this game did.

    I’m not going to complain about the politics of the game, because frankly, I don’t care. I just want to play video games. I like games made by creators from both sides of the political aisle and starring all varieties of protagonist. But if you want dismiss this as me being a bot or a crazy incel or whatever, you can go right ahead. The truth is that my issue is that this game forgets what TLOU is supposed to be about. Trust me, as I said, I’ve read literally everything ever released about this franchise. The original idea was to have 2 characters experience the world of the game together, and have their relationship change over the course of those events. This franchise is *about* those two characters and their relationship. That is the entire point of the original game. Neither one of them is more important than the other, they were designed to be a duo. The franchise was about these damaged people, learning to trust and love again, amid the zombie apocalypse. This game undoes all of that. It makes it pointless. It punishes you for caring about the story the original told, then it tells you that you were wrong for ever feeling it in the first place.

    I am fine with violence in games, and I’m fine with characters dying, what I’m not fine with is story choices that don’t serve the characters and characters which don’t serve the story. I’m not fine with game mechanics that were already on the verge of being outdated on the PS3 but now return in basically the same form. I’m not fine with you lying to me in your trailers, because you KNEW that I wouldn’t buy it if I knew the truth about what you were doing. I'm not fine with you completely changing everything I previously liked about this franchise: a damaged father and his surrogate daughter fighting monsters, of both the human and infected variety. You did nothing interesting to replace that. You gave me nothing to love, you only provided me with innumerable reasons to hate. Specifically, you gave me many reasons to hate this game, these characters, and this company.

    I signed up to Metacritic today *specifically* to review this game. That’s how mad it made me. That’s how badly Naughty Dog seems to misunderstand their own franchise and the reasons why people like me enjoyed the original. I'm sure there are plenty of people who will love this game. But I am not one of them. At all. I never want to see it again.

    So, this is the end of our long road together, TLOU. I think I’ll focus on franchises and creators who don’t deliberately go out of their way to make me hate them, because that’s their definition of “art.” You said "I'd rather have people passionately hate it than just be like, 'Yeah, it was OK.'" Vamos a ver, a nivel de game play el juego es bastante superior aunque debería asi de serlo, su predecesor se lanzó para la ps3, por lo que es natural que tlou2 sea encantador en ese aspecto y un poco innovador en sus mecánicas, pero el centro del asunto cuando hablamos de un juego de culto, es que debes de tener una narrativa con lógica y con personajes que sostengan la trama, tenemos que ser claros como historia es de un 8 pero no es lo que un fan deseaba ver, y su final es sacado debajo de la manga demasiado cliché, demasiado moralista en un escenario que no cabe. Si eres fan de tlou vas a terminar muy decepcionado por que  si ese es su problema su final patético, sin sentido sacado debajo de la manga, y eso es imperdonable, ¿por que  la calificación tan baja? , justamente por eso por que es un juego que terminal mal, para un fan que es realista termina mal, y lo mas injusto es que recorres ese camino para terminar de esa manera por lo que se transforma en una estafa, tenlo por seguro que asi te sentirás y ya sabes el por que de tan bajo puntaje de los usuarios.

This also means that not a single character trait held any significance to the story as a whole in the last of us 2: they are interchangeable. This is not saying they are not "unique", because they all have their own "trait", but the trait just don't present any plot significance at all.

    The gameplay is also aged badly: tossing a item to distract an enemy is the only true stealth mechanic with the exception of just literal x-ray vision should be only the chassis of the stealth mechanic: not the entirety of it. With games like metal gear solid and hitman, this makes the stealth mechanic in the last of us 2 seem so insignificant and limiting in comparison, and having enemies going in very linear patrol routes of one small area doesn't help at all, wasting the potential of the cosmetically gorgeous level design. The combat revolves around dodging, hitting, and shooting with brutal satisfaction: which wouldn't be so bad, even great, but the inclusion of a dodge button really ruined the experience, as some enemies would just get into superarmored mode/locked into animation and not stop attacking you until you are forced to either dodge or die.

    This lack of freedom also goes to the story telling elements as well: you play as not just Ellie, but also forced to play as Abby: a character that does some horrible things, and the player have no say in the matter and are just forced to go through with the decision made. The fact that this game forces its player base to play an unlikable character or forced to not progress makes this the worst game I've ever played.    … Expand

Really disappointed after everything I’ve seen from the Last of Us story. I’ll just end it with the expansions in my head thank you. The only good thing about this game is it’s graphics. I went into this knowing that Joel would most likely die because that’s how the story would naturally progress. However, forcing us play as his killer for a good portion of the game and trying to make us see them as a good person is just a slap in the face. The creators were very obviously trying to make something thought provoking but it fell flat and became a basic run around revenge story. It’s disappointing after how amazing the first game was. I’m really sad that this is what they chose to do with what could’ve been a wonderful sequel. Note: I usually don’t feel a need to post reviews for games because I think everyone should have their own opinion. Seriously though, don’t waste your money on this.… Expand

    The writing in this game was a massive letdown, even if you didn't play through the first game. If you were a fan of the original The Last of Us, this game was a massive slap in the face. The way the characters are written in the second game completely goes against the way they were developed in the first game in order to fulfill an extremely contrived narrative. The drop in writing quality here is actually somehow worse than the drop in quality that we saw in Game of Thrones' final seasons.

    The storytelling is poor and that is just irredeemable in a game where they sacrifice fun gameplay for story development. Throughout the story you take control of a number of characters at different points in time, and so your inventory and equipment are constantly reset and you're never able to feel powerful or in-control. This would be fine as a narrative tool, except the writers utterly fail at convincing the player that the actions and motivations of certain main characters are reasonable or admirable.

    To put it simply, if you're looking for fun, engaging gameplay, this game does everything worse than the first game. If you're looking for an interesting, satisfying story that has a meaningful and coherent message and features convincing character development, this game is absolutely not it. The original The Last of Us was a masterpiece of introducing us to flawed characters and making us fall in love with them. This game is more concerned with finger-wagging and guilt-tripping than doing anything resembling good story-telling.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. TLOU was never about the zombies. It was never about the gameplay. I was never about the graphics. TLOU was about the relationship between Joel and Ellie. Throughout part 1 you could see how their relationship develops and it touched a lot heart of everyone who loved the game.

    TLOU had some of the strongest dialogue between characters. The scene where Ellie runs away on a horse and Joel finding her after is an example of what made the story and characters into one of the most praised game to date.

    Then you get to part 2. Completely stray away from what defined TLOU. Yeah Joel isn't a good guy and his death was justified, but by doing so, it ruins the whole game. TLOU is literally about Joel and Ellie's relationship. It isn't TLOU without one or the other. I'm not sad because they killed off a main character. I'm sad because their relationship was what defined the franchise. If they wanted to kill off Joel, at least do it at the end of the game then end the franchise there. When either of them dies, its the end of the franchise so might as well do it at the end of the game then end the franchise there.

    TLOU 2 completely ruined the franchise for me and it's a shame because part 1 was one, if not, my favourite game of all time.

    The graphics where great, some of the best i ever seen, and ive seen like no bugs. The combat is decent, but gets a little boring and repetitive. I wish there was more interaction , but that is more of a personal wish, since i know this is not that kind of game, and never was.

    The writing is awful, and the shifting perspectives does not make the story flow well, like in the first game.     This game is visually amazing, it’s just too bad that the story is garbage. I can’t believe this is the best they could come up with after 7 years. Not worth the purchase.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
