Some mechanics are broken, jumping is redicilous. Combat is very bad and doesnt satistify players. The game is kinda hard. Its world is overwhelming and confusing even with holomap.

The force is strong with this one! Jedi Fallen Order respects and enriches the Star Wars lore with an engaging story and great characterizations. Gameplay and level design effectively blends aspects of Tomb Raider, Sekiro, God of War, and Uncharted with that Respawn flare we've come to know with Titanfall 2-- btw if you Haven't played Titanfall 2, it's one of the mo

Бывали баги. Когда я попал на арену и должен был выйти финальный босс, то у меня он просто не прогрузился. И я думал в чем проблема, а потом просто загрузил чекпоинт. Не хватало шарама ЗВ. The game looks great, it plays great, and also has a decent story to follow through. If it wasn’t for the blatant “trend riding” that made them shove in Souls-like mechanics to a game that doesn’t need them, I would gladly put this game among the top 3 games of last year.
As it stands, however, this is still a great game even with one dumb flaw. If you’re a fan of modern action/adventure

If not for some slight scratches here and there this game can be a 10/10 contender. Some difficulty peaks, smaller glitches and (for my liking) too much backtracking made me consider giving Jedi Fallen Order a 09/10. Read on for more details.

Tech-wise the game delivers extremely well. The sound supports up to 7.1 surround sound and brings it perfectly onto the stage. No matter if stuff explodes, laser swords swing or enemies howl, the sound in this game is absolutely on point and fantastic. Its a clear 10/10.

Graphics are extremely well also, yet there are some texture pop-ins here and there, even with a PS4 Pro SSD. Also there are minor glitches with AA implementation and sometimes the map. Also I realized some sequences where the frames get chunky. Gladly most of the time the game delivers very well for its peak graphics.

Loading times are not optimized. Even with SSD some deaths can be painful, also there are lots of transitional elevators and such, probably the high level complexity and good graphics took their toll here. Riding between planets again takes time. I dont have a base PS4 but I might think that the status there is way worse and might give users some patience education.

The gameplay in Jedi is by war outstanding. Game progression is very good and even without level systems, loot or better weapons you feel growth in your powers. The skill system is capped by progress but feels nice. I have to say that the level design was very impressive and considerably even one of the best games ever. The variety is great and innovative, shortcuts are used to reduce backtracking and increase progress compared to games like Dark Souls/Bloodborne.

Even for not being a Star Wars fan I liked the story. I enjoyed the characters, even listened to the story. The final especially might be a candy for many people, no spoilers though ;)

Another disappointment the game provides are sometimes very bad save points especially before hard bosses. You have to cross areas and fight mobs over and over or try to pass by without getting damage. It is furiously outraging and very frustrating on higher levels. Also it is a waste of time with no benefit to the core loop. I wished they would ve chosen a different path here. Finally the game difficulty feels not very balanced. The beginning has a learning curve but feels hard on higher difficulties. Then you have a peaking mid where you have next to no problem with progress but the end strikes hard and brutal.

Over the course of my journey I felt this game had to be a 10/10 because I enjoyed it so much but being fair to some of the negative aspects it is somewhere between 8.5 and 9.5. I would definitely recommend this game. Might be picking up on one of the regular sales and you have a worthy grab for up to 15 to 25hrs of playtime depending on style, skill and game choice.

May the force be with you!

The gameplay is very weak. First how it was made, like, maybe it's me, but I was expecting an open world, something at least in the range of AC (where you can explore and visit, interact with people, have side missions...), and I ended up having a basic platform game (jump, grab, open a door...). And then I was disappointed in how much it was lacking content, it was really NOT starwars-y at all! All the planets felt like a basic platform game set in the middle of nowhere where you sometimes bump into random creatures that could be straight out of Crash Bandicoot or SuperMario or any other old game... where is the SW lore, the characters, the atmosphere? Dathomir is basically set in hell, Kashyyk is a random jungle, Illum a random ice world... I don't see any Star Wars, except when the characters refer to something every now and then.

there can be a great atmosphere and the lightsabers look cool but that is it. the way this game works is that you can travel to different "planets" and then explore the place and do missions. The maps are designed so that you can go to these save points and doing this will reset any enemies in their original positions (perhaps the worst decision in any game ever, it completely breaks immersion and makes no sense in the world) the combat is simplistic, parry and slash and done. it got boring quick and the game has ABSOLUTELY ZERO replayability. play this once or twice and you have seen it all.

The lightsaber is the most important thing in any star wars game and in this one it can feel pretty good, you can design it yourself (quite late in the game in my opinion) you have no decision in whether you want a double lightsaber, witch i found to be a childish weapon. Here´s the kicker though, all the parts of the lightsaber are based on a real world experience in disney world or something like that wich gives it a bad commercial feel to it, and it makes you look for parts in the worlds which is a chore to do because of the **** level design.

    Poorly made again.

The meditation / health mechanic is irritating and also breaks the pace of the game. I wish they had just stuck to a traditional health replenishment system. eg. just find or craft health 'stims' as you go around the game instead of revisiting meditation points which resets enemies, resulting in you having to re-kill them all. And this sucks.

You'll like this game more if you are into the animated Star Wars TV shows - the aliens, creatures and motion in this game feel cartoony and exaggerated to me. Understand the stylised approach from a technical perspective but feels too much.

You spend most of your time fighting seriously overpowered fauna that appear from literally nowhere and get stuck in 'boss fights' with 'Tolkien' type creatures. I don't want to spend my time fighting Orcs and ogres in a SW game to be honest, I'd prefer more one-on-one / group lightsaber battles.

When you do get to fight a group of troopers, fighting multiple enemies can be a bit of a nightmare. You can only really focus on one at a time and that seems to leave you exposed to blaster fire from other troopers quite easily. Constantly evading and not being able to transition smoothly back into attack mode because there's either clunkiness in controls or animations.

Kind of disappointed overall but appreciate the effort to make a single player SW game. When you can figure out a rhythm and obtain more skills in the skill tree, the lightsaber gameplay gets better. I just wish they'd focused more on that overall and less on puzzles and alien fights.

Parryingtake too long even in the simpler difficulties imo & switching to story mode makes the enemy AI as smart as a spoon and contrary to Jedi knight gives no challenge...some middle ground perhaps ! Also the traversal. As with combat, you will have those moments where it works and feels fantastic but lots of the time the game just wants you to get mad and break your controller (don't obviously). Overall this is a 7/7.5 but sometimes feels like a 6 and other times like an 10.

This game already exists 1000 times over, and has probably been done 1000 times better. The only difference you're getting here is the "Star Wars" label & some slightly Star Wars-ish skins to go over top of the steaming mediocrity.

A little more detail (but not too much because any time spent on this game is a WASTE):
It's a pure platformer. For those (like me) who were hoping we'd get something more akin to KOTOR, you will be massively disappointed.

The story that goes along with this game is flat out boring and superficial, straight out of the "Disney SW for Dummies" manual . Every silly cliche you can think of is smashed together in a haphazard way that ends up giving you a really bad taste in your mouth. Because of the childish and trite story, the characters you interact with are just not that interesting...before any "reveals" happen, you already know their backstory and you also already know the big "OMG" surprises that are to come...and yes, they suck.

After the disaster of a story, there's not really that much left to talk about. Gameplay is boring and overdone. As many have said, Uncharted and other games have done many of these mechanics better. There's nothing new here and nothing that's actually done well here. Graphics are ok but nothing special, and most of the controls are just clunky. I couldn't even finish this game because it was just so damn boring

Final verdict...I can usually kind of let this kind of thing slide and say meh whatever, boring, mediocre game, don't waste your time. BUT...the way EA marketed this trash and the way it soils an already hurting yet beloved Star Wars universe is the final kick in the b*lls that makes me say no, this is trash and EA should be lambasted (again) for doing this kind of crap to people. This is an obvious "let's get cash" hacked-together piece of garbage that takes advantage of SW fans who have been hurting for some GOOD material for a while. Screw EA, Star Wars fans deserve better than this steaming turd

This wasn't a particularly exciting game. Lack of Star Wars feeling is overshadowing, boring maps/worlds, repetitive and strange enemies. Reminds of the Mad Max game at most. Worst of all, it's a technical nightmare - even almost a year after launch. The sliding mechanics are just poor executed and the game crashed a fair amount of times.

Even with long respawns, the game still keeps loading textures on the fly, which is quite ugly. Enemies also spawn late, which leads to some of them appearing right behind you unexpectedly. The combat is clunky and glitchy here and there. It is manageable when you have few enemies, but still leads you to run more away than to face them as it would be expected in a game like this.

Stuff like edges, walls and pipes are just frustrating. The game often misses to grab vines. Regarding pipes if you jump on top of them it is very likely that you will fall, even if you hit it on point! Now imagine that you've just beatten some hard enemies and you are low on health. This happens and now you need to wait 35 seconds to respawn and fight those enemies again... Just frustrating!

The level design is quite good and the puzzles are fun challenging enough. Completionist elements are fun and not tiring as most of the games. Story is also appealing. Eventually I felt that the challenge was the game technical issues and not the game itself. It's sad because I really wanted to like this one. I almost reached the end, but I eventually just gave up. There are too many good games nowadays to play. I won't waste more time with this one. This is way Bellow the expected standards for this kind of production. I don't recommend it, at least the PS4 version. Sadly disappointed

The developers have successfully captured the gameplay elements that make for a good time. I would describe the gameplay as sci-fi Sekiro-lite. It's not nearly as refined or beautifully executed as Sekiro, but it works well enough.

Having played Recore a few months ago has given me perspective on Fallen Order. This is the true heir to the Metroid Prime series. it has the tried and true Metroidvania formula of unlocking various abilities as you progress through the main story, that allow you to go back unlock parts of the game, or items, which you could not get before. It also has the wonderful ability to scan the many different kinds of flora and fauna that you will encounter on the various worlds.

The downside is that the combat is kludgy compared to the Souls series. They don't quite approach the level of skill of the masters at FromSoft. It's not bad. It's just not great. It's pretty fun though. Also this is a Star Wars game, so the story is pretty awful. If you're like me, you find the Jedi lore about the force and choosing destiny, and the mawkish background exposition of tragic pasts to be pretty awful and heavy-handed. The characters aren't particularly memorable either.

Visually this is a really well designed game. The characters look good and are well acted with a great cast of original characters and a couple of characters from the films. The game world looks great. A lot of creativity has been put into designing all of the worlds as well as the monsters that inhabit them, putting the lack of creativity on some of the recent films to shame. You will have to revisit each planet several times which might sound annoying on the surface but with plenty of new areas to unlock, revisiting new areas remains fresh with new things to discover. Each level also has plenty of shortcuts that can be opened in order to prevent retreading old ground. Unfortunately the game can be a bit laggy at times.

The games combat system did take a bit of getting used to. At first combat does feel quite slow and clunky. Cal seems to take an age to attack enemies which leaves you open to taking easy damage. Once you learn to play more defensively and take your opportunities to attack it soon feels natural. And it really comes into its own once you start to learn more force skills allowing you to push and pull your enemies around helping combat feel much more fluid. There are a few issues that do drag the gameplay down. Sometimes the game can feel unresponsive. When knocked down Cal can take an age to get up leaving him vulnerable to another attack and there is nothing that you can do about it. I also found healing can be annoying at times. BD-1 heals you when you press the Up button but if you get hit before Cal finishes speaking, you won't get healed and I found that at times nothing would happen even if I wasn't hit. The camera can also be an issue in tight areas making it hard to see where Cal is making escape unnecessarily difficult.

Overall, Star Wars Jedi is a worthy buy for any Star Wars fan or anyone that just likes a melee games. It's just a shame that some annoying issues hold it back from being a great game.

Summary: It a great Star Wars game with the music, atmosphere and story that captures the adventure 80s fantasy feeling of the original trilogy. The metroidvania linear adventure with action packed scenes and souls like combat is a great combination for this title. But the execution is just ok and technical aspects are a downside.

The game captures the magical feeling of 80s fantasy and the adventure. It is much closer to the original movies than any of the films from the sequel trilogy. The plot combines the adventure of the journey through the unknowns of the far far away galaxy and the tale about restoring the secret once great order of the Jedi. The story has everything that stereotypical 80s fantasy should have: an obvious villain, an obvious hero and his party and the mystical ancient goal. It has jungles, deserts and ancient tombs. And it has magical weapons – lighsabers. The music is inspired by the wonderful work of John Williams. It captures the adventure/fairytale feeling of the setting. As a fantasy fan I couldn't ask for more.

I love the mix of gameplay that this game presents. Exploration is linear metroidvania style experience with lots of abilities that unlocks a new paths and collectibles. The souls-like combat fits really well. The action packed sequences and platforming sections keeps you engaged if you are not here only to slice things for the lightsaber.

The problem is, that the execution of all this elements is just ok. The combat is difficult and satisfying but sometimes it gets frustrating. When I saw I'm too weak for the boss fight I wanted to go back and gather something that will help me and game just locks you with the enemy and leaves you no choice but to try until you rage quit or lower the difficulty. Platforming can be bugged and you will have to repeat each section a couple of times because you have fallen to your death during a slide.

The level design is a plus. The verticality of the levels combined with agility of the character gives more depth to combat and maps. What I consider a downside are the larger planets without any shortcuts or fast travel. This can be painful at the end of the game when you are trying to gather all the collectibles, and you just have to traverse the whole planet multiple times because the an unreachable cliff or a slide blocks your way back. And speaking of collectibles, they are worthless. Unless your are planning to earn a platinum trophy, don't bother with them.

As to the technical aspects: I have never seen a game on PS4 that is a year after the release and still has so many bugs, glitches and frame drops.

The ending was disappointing as well. Very quick to close off the game.
Also, an EA game without any MP and MT´s. That is a rarity.

I really enjoyed this game - cool graphics (it's true that it can have some performance issues), cool gameplay, cool level design (weird that you have to go back through all the level at the end of it but there are shortcuts). The story was ok, the platformig is not as bad as some say, the puzzles are decent. IFinished the game in January on my PC and now I'm playing it again on my PS4. Cool cinematic's and is fun on the easiest difficulties to slice through enemies feeling as if you have power, but when maintenance robots are one of the hardest enemies, how are you meant to feel you have power. The combat is so repetitive, at the end of the game they just throw the same enemies at you and the combat is just precision block until their stamina is worn enough to attack and with some bosses that can feel like years. i genuinely had no attachment to the characters, apart from your robot friend and the spaceship captain because the main character was too much of a sappy, goody, baby faced hero which would of been fine if it turned out actually he was insanely powerful and on par with Darth Vader who you find out you cant even touch so really you're nothing and left to think why couldn't i just be Luke Skywalker. Game is 4 months old and still has inexcusable bugs.

Overall I like the game, but I don't give out 10s very often like some. I also don't like to give out 1s very often. This game falls above average in my book. Why? The story is incredibly short. The game has infuriating platform bugs that can erase a couple hours of work if you are trying to avoid saving and respawning all enemies.

Controls are super unresponsive!!! The main combat strategy is to parry but it feels extremely sluggish and slow and many times I’ve requested a stim (health regeneration) and the command goes unheard. For a triple A title all they’ve done is still loads of elements from other game mainly dark souls and implemented into a boring and predictable star wars story. Visuals are amazing though

My minor complaints are platforming issues and random glitches. Some of the game’s most epic moments were tarnished by me falling “to my death.” Most of the time, it wasn’t my fault. The game is forgiving, as you just lose some health and retry, but the thrill of doing it in one take was gone.

This game genuinely feels like Star Wars. It’s filled with action-packed set pieces, comedy, betrayal, and even playful or dramatic music to fit the tone. Fans will love it, while people less familiar with the franchise will understand why it is so revered.

I wish I liked this game better, but I just don't. It feels like an unpolished Frankenstein of gaming's greatest hits. The platforming just isn't fun, and I genuinely love platforming. The Souls style combat mechanics just feels wrong for a Jedi with a lightsaber. I love the Souls games, but I just don't think it fits here. I spent 70% of my playtime platforming and wall climbing. Not only that, the combat is so clunky and boring. It is unclear to me what the devs were trying to achieve. It feels as if you got an Uncharted game, and asked the devs to "add dark souls to it", and ended up with a product which is not good in either.

let me start with the good. I loved the story and Cal was fantastic with his party. the interactions were fun and interesting and made me want to speak with them and see what happened to them probably the best part about the game. The combat was fun and intuitive making it feel like i earned my victories by being smart. The force abilities were also great and fun to use and very useful. I loved using force pull and push and taking out several enemies before the others make it to you. I liked the cosmetic things you could find around the worlds you explore and regaining the jedi abilities were really great and made me feel like i was regaining my abilities from before the purge.

that being said this game had a lot of flaws. The platforming felt very clunky and ropes and walls were one time grabs. I think the control design is very flawed. the controls were really overly tight every wall run to every jump fell way too tight and needed some loosening up. Also they should have just given us a heavy attack button that used stamina instead of linking it to the force meter. It made me rarely use it because the force powers were way better anyways. I also wish lightsaber switching was on a better button because taking your hand off the stick to switch was really invasive.
the combat also felt somewhat clunky and suffered from the stiff controls and the blocking precision was way too tight and Also parrying felt very difficult to maintain its easy to compare it to ghosts of tsushima where parrying an enemy never felt difficult and made it easy for an opening and felt welcome when doing it. my biggest problem with the game is no warp feature where you could warp to an area which made backtracking not fun and made me not want to do it at all and the map was way to complicated and difficult to really navigate with good precision and i wish there was an item that showed you where missing items and chests are because that would have helped very nicely. I also think in general having a looser movement and flow would reduce a lot of movement and combat issues i felt were in the game.

Although this game was very flawed, i had a lot of fun with it and enjoyed what it had to offer. Its a solid game compared to its predecessor and i enjoyed it and its story. They should take some lessons from ghosts of Tsushima control wise if they do a sequel. This game is a 7.5 its not perfect by any means but its still a solid experience which i enjoyed. my advice to the developers would be use ghosts of tsushima as an example on how to have a character control simple yet tactical.

Plus, you fall of the cliff everytime in the game. Like they couldn't add barrier like they do in other exploration game so it won't be easy to fall of the map. Falling off a cliff will be so common In This game. And last but def not least is the stupid checkpoints. Like this is 2020 and you can progress for 20 mins and then die just for the game to bring u back to the 20 mins before your progress
They use a medication point as a checkpoint. So even tho you enter a cutscenes it doesn't save. Only that stupid medication poi t is your checkpoint. And it's not like you see it everywhere. You barely see it and then u can die fast because they give you very little health and only 2 atoms that has an animation in healing like it's last of us. This game is a waste of money and my excitement. The story wasn't even interesting

The only thing that makes this game imperfect are the texture bugs and EA's promises that haven't been fully fulfilled. The story is short, still with errors and does not have the expressiveness of an AAA. But it is undoubtedly one of the best if not the best Star Wars game!

If you get over a slower start without powers, we can assure you, that it will only get better and better. An entertaining mix of Uncharted, Tomb Raider and Dark Souls set in the Star Wars universe. You don’t have to worry; the game is worth its full price. [Issue#300]

As someone with limited time to play games, the shame of Fallen Order stems from multiple frustrations. It’s hard to fight and, worse, it’s hard to move. The game’s timing issues distracted me from both the story and the beautifully constructed worlds; I was too focused on simply staying alive. My many (many, many, many) deaths discouraged me from exploring worlds — all of them beautiful — as did the simple fact that traveling by foot (even a Jedi’s Force-enhanced feet) takes forever.

Respawn has shown us, and EA, that single player games are well enough alive and kicking and has set a bright future for the Star Wars franchise of videogames if they keep this up.
