EA, stop ruining all the franchise i once loved. These business practices have to stop for once and for all. i hated micro-transactions for years now, but I'm glad that now people are opening their eyes.

I'm already bored with the game. I can't level up my classes because of the RNG/Lootbox progression, and the multiplayer is not stimulating enough to keep me going for long. The more you play, the more you realize that Dice/Criterion completely missed the hook that would keep players coming back. Instead they filled the map with so much nonsense that any feeling of being a bad ass starfighter pilot is soon ended thanks to an asteroid or piece of debris that you couldn't see in a tight turn. The ground combat seems like a spray and pray free for all, with the winner being decided by who has the best cards. The maps are far to big for 20 on 20, and the weapon balance and spread are atrocious. This game is not worth the aggravation the micro trans progression system and gameplay will cause you. Avoid at all cost. Expand

The day Electronic Art$ went too far. Microtransactions need to die. I'm boycotting EA for the next 10 years. Maybe they'll fire everyone and actually make games for gamers.

They were so close! EA had a perfect opportunity to make possibly one of the best Star Wars games in years. Battlefront 1 was a great multiplayer game but lacking in the depth department. Battlefront 2 comes around and they literally give fans EVERYTHING we have been asking for. Campaign: check, More modes: Check, Dog fights in space: check, no season pass that splits player base: check. They had it! They **** had it! Then the inevitable happens. EA. EA happened. A loot crate/progression system so convoluted it makes playing Battlefront 2 more like my job as an accountant. Great! The heroes are now 75% less credits now. So what!? The main problem is STILL there. Pay to win mechanics in a full price game. Sure, you cant buy loot crates with legendaries. Awesome! Still though people with bigger wallets can still BUY AN ADVANTAGE OVER PLAYERS THAT DONT SPEND TONS OF MONEY ON :LOOT BOXES!!!!!!!!! This is pay to win!!!! So the cost of heroes goes down. GREAT! It fixes none of the pay to win concerns that the fans STILL have. It's a god damn crying shame. Soooooo close. Expand

its a very pretty game but games need great gameplay. fun for a couple hours but then you start to see what all the negativity is about. Gambling really has dug its claws deep into this game. Lots of content is locked and to unlock it either pay money or play for an unrealistically long amount of time. 2 hrs every day for 6 yrs to be precise, or over 4,000 hours. I now see how long that really is.

I think this goes to show that people are sick and tired of mictrotransactions in games. The problem with the way EA has structured this game is by making it a pay to win system. Games like Overwatch do these transactions correctly because the items are cosmetic items only. THEY DO NOT EFFECT GAMEPLAY.

The Progression of the player is attached to loot boxes.

Cards that give lot of bonus, makes difference between players who have it and players who don´t.

Ive played 100 hours and i regret every minute EA stole of my child memories from AUTHENTIC BATTLEFRONT II and what battlefront 3 could have been. And the worst thing, without any doubt, is that the game is suposed to be seassony, but it has only had 1 and it was done after game releasing but dropped 1 month later for marketing businnes. Awesome for the first 10min... then getting smoked by decked out beginners that bought gear. Did the math and to even be halfway decent you need roughly $400-450 investment for gear considering the RNG. So if you like to pay to feel like a winner then maybe you'll like it. We used to call this cheating

terrible single player campaign, no sense of history progression, I was hoping an empire side of the history but I ended with a rebel one in its place. and the multiplayer well ppl with cards are way more powerful than a normal person,so i'll just be playing Star wars empire at war that is a way superior game.

Movements are both too heavy and too floaty on each axis. The campaign, which I was so excited about.... is just a few hours long and so disjointed. Hits have little to no impact on NPCs. Goldeneye N64 had better AI. There's about 5 character models for the rebels. I honestly feel remorse for shooting the same Asian female Rebel in the face around every corner. Multiplayer is also so disappointing. Seems to have lost all strategy because gunplay is so poor. I don't understand how they could have messed this game up so badly. Expand

The gameplay is kinda sub par. graphics are amazing, but other than that this game is an unbalanced, lazily made, cash grab that is a huge insult to gamers. they said you have to level up to get higher tier power cards. I just got the game today on release date and got killed by a rey that had all epic cards equipped.

Also players were able to get crystals on the first day. and by that some players got a significant day one boost.
Furthermore to bind the progression of the game to a random lootbox system is demoralizing at best, especially when you find out how long it will take you to unlock even the most basic things. I end by saying awesome job DICE ... And EA stop ruining good games with your corporate greed!

Star Wars Battlefront II provides a greater ambition than the previous installment. It has powerful war scenes, a brand new single player mode, and shows a much more magnificent Star Wars Universe. But just like the Jedi should be ware of the dark side of the Force, this game also meets some similar situations, such as beleaguered microtransaction elements and character growth problems. The first 10 hours of this game is full of surprises; however, the further you play this game, the more disappointed you will get.
