I played the beta and it was a fun and beautiful game that looked to be a true successor to the classic Battlefront games. But then EA just had to come in and **** everything up, so I just wanted to post this review to say **** EA and **** their greedy practices. They won't be getting a single cent from me and I encourage everybody to vote with their wallets on this one.

This game contains loot boxes in order to better exploit customer who have already paid full price for the game as well as the season pass. Do not buy this game under any circumstances.

This game could have been so good and would have brought praise upon EA, restoring some of their reputation but they chose to go the opposite route. They need to be made an example of. Do not purchase this game. Do not support anti-consumer business practices. The game is utter garbage.

This game is awful, EA is trash and deserves to die as a company. Money grubbing terrible company. I need extra characters so I'm going to milk this sentence until its 150 characters.

I fear for the future of video games you greedy pilchards! If this was free to play then fair enough. But paying £50 for a game, that then tries to rob you blind is ludicrous.

Die in a **** hole ea, this game is so insulting to us–the gamers–that it almost feels like a joke.

Waiting for the day that EA goes bankrupt ( lets be honest its kind of a fantasy, but a man can dream)

Honestly just extremely sad that the micro-transaction line was crossed in a star wars game.
Happy that hopefully this is the point that companies might realise how much we object to micro-transactions, but again . . .Star Wars . . .
    Sad.

Terrible game designed entirely to syphon money out of players. A blatant abuse of an iconic brand name to milk people for cash. Whata sad situation the gaming induindustry is in righ Now

Oh, how I love paying for a game and paying more to play it.
Do not encourage EA by buying this game, or if you have, do not buy any microtransaction.

Nice looking game. Horrible system designed to do one of two things: 1) Spend an inordinate amount of time grinding or 2) Give EA money beyond the original $60 you paid for the game. Pay to win mechanics from a freemium game imported in to a paid game. But hey can you blame EA for trying? They are making over a billion dollars a year from microtransaction from FIFA alone. Do not by this game at all the story is boring and unfinished, the game is a buggy mess, and while EA has removed the loot boxes for now they plan to add them back in the game at a later date. Please if you love Star Wars or Battlefront then for the love of god don't buy this game we must show that we won't stand for this BS.

The pay to win in this game is disgusting. We have to let them know, this is unacceptable. We let them know time and time again when these details were released and they refused to do anything about it. They are the most downvoted comment on reddit, and a joke among gamers.

Microtransactions maybe gone FOR NOW but knowing EA they are gonna find a way to put cash in their pockets no matter the feedback we give them. Anyway great graphics and sound but dissappointing story wish Fiscal was still around glad they remove themselves form the devil.

We read up on this so called game and we played it and watched videos of play and he is correct. The games progression is behind a paywall and forces younger players or parents with little time to pay extra charges to progress or loose eeverytime despite skil. These issues have been well documented ion the news and the company behind them is known for shady tactics and seemingly doesn't care. Our nephew was also email targeted through his kids account to buy the game and to buy loot boxes star cards in a very clever subtle way to avoid parents . We felt sick. EA is like a child molester of brains. Expand

EA is no amateur when it comes to fleecing the customer for all they're worth, but in this case, they have crossed the line. The game is once again multiplayer focused with a short and lackluster single player just so they can say they improved from the first game. They have "brilliantly" set up their game so that people who stick with the $60 purchase cannot possibly win against the other team due to their lack of good weapons purchased by others. They say you can earn them in game, but it's like telling someone they can eat their dinner on a plate if they work for 8 hours first. Not so bad until you realize you can only work three hours a day, and any more time spent is worthless, and with the added perk that if you do put in the work, due to the fact that items inside lootboxes are obtained by chance, you might not even get a plate and so your three days of effort was wasted. EA has implemented the worst form of gambling in their game so deeply, that their game is centered around this feature, and they are using star wars in order to attract the customer. Do not be fooled, the Star Wars brand is not worth this atrocity. Expand

Whilst overall Dice has made a fairly good looking game, it's still the standard "EA Shooter" with a Star Wars skin. Still no true "ironsights".

In reality, this is just another greedy cash grab from EA- Battlefront 2015- just with more layers of wrapping paper.

Star Wars Battlefront II provides a greater ambition than the previous installment. It has powerful war scenes, a brand new single player mode, and shows a much more magnificent Star Wars Universe. But just like the Jedi should be ware of the dark side of the Force, this game also meets some similar situations, such as beleaguered microtransaction elements and character growth problems. The first 10 hours of this game is full of surprises; however, the further you play this game, the more disappointed you will get.
