One of the biggest disappointments to video gaming ever, I was so excited about this one until they ruined it with loot boxes and greedy p2w garbage.
The single player doesn't hold the game up enough to justify the high cost of the game.

Represents the death of the gaming indiustry - pay $90 for the game, then gamble real money in the hopes of being able to win. No intention to create a good game, only an environment to lure players into spending real money.

This deal is getting worse all the time! Micro-transactions, loot boxes, and the cherry on top is a pathetic attempt to quiet down this drama by "temporarily" disabling these features. EA has broke the camel's back, and it's paying for it.

One of the worst games ever made. Don't trust the reviews made by the Critics. **** EA. I am sick and tired of these terrible companies making it so hard to have fun. I hope the developers lose their jobs in all honesty. Bunch of *******.

Absolutely horrible. Its a shame what EA (and Dice) have done with a wonderful franchise. Whilst the gameplay may be decent the game is spoiled by a microtransaction system that will make you want to return the game after a few hours in. We must take a stand!

So that is what gameing is about in 2017. EA let pay 60€ for a game and put the half of it behind another paywall. The campagin should be "something that was never seen before in Star wars"...really?! EA is kidding us all. As a Star wars and Gaming fan I hope that will be the last Star wars game that Comes from EA. Now they shut down the micro Transaction... sorry too late EA. It's amazing how a game that had everything to be a candidate of GOTY was ruined by the incompetence of the people running EA. Microtransactions ruined a game that had a lot of potential

    Campaign is mediocre at best.

Voice acting is sub-par and gameplay isn't really all that engaging. There are also a good few sections of filler where you just kill stuff in waves, or follow someone. Both of these go towards trying to extend a stupidly short campaign. It's seriously way too short. Arcade mode is meh, and the game forces you away from it if you wish to progress at all

Arcade mode is meh, and the game forces you away from it if you wish to progress at all (5 scenarios for 500cr, then a 22 hour cool down.)

Multiplayer is beyond imbalanced when you're first starting, people dominate you with higher levelled cards. You can be using the same weapon and shoot first, and still lose a gun fight.

Pair all of the above with a terrible progression system and DICE have a lot to fix.

edit: as an addition to the above, DICE have removed the ability to purchase "Crystals" (the in game currency) temporarily. They have issued no clear statement as to how they will be fixing the game, but they have mentioned the crystals will be reintroduced at a later date (I'd give it around a month.)

I'd also take care to check whether reviews you watch on YouTube come from "EA Game Changers" who are paid by EA. You cannot take their reviews seriously as I do not believe they are impartial.

Beautiful looking game, but F**K EA! We need to be tweeting Disney like mad - set up a facebook group, something to show how incompetent and greedy EA are. Be sure to point out that it was nominated the WORST COMPANY TO WORK FOR ON THE PLANET twice in a row. How dare they take our hard-earned and then ask for more. Never buying EA again.

This is like selling a GTX 1080ti but only having 1GB of GDDR5X ram and saying that you need to unlock it for an extra $2000. In short: this game attempts to benefit too much off countless stupid micro-transactions (and expensive ones too.)

EA should burn as should its leaders. An absolute embarrassment on the face of gaming today, their patented system to match players with stronger players who purchased content with real money in order to make them spend money is a criminal practice. THIS HAS TO STOP! NOW!

Micro-transactions and loot boxes have to disappear. They're are ruining the games industry.
The retail price needs to be enough for the experience.

Not even worth buying really. Buggy, too expensive for the transaction model, not worth till EA fixes, or makes it F2P. Campaign is not so fun, multiplayer is a joke unless you're rich.

What happened to the games industry? I remember getting whole new games as free content with half life patches back in the day. Suddenly Richochet, DMC and CS were all game modes with full features multiplayer content - all part and parcel of paying what was just £29 for the base game.

Don't fall for the EA pr bs. Do not buy this game. The microtransactions will be back very soon after all the idiots go out and buy it. Pay to win in a $60 game is despicable.

This isn't a $60 game. Short single player and micro-transactions turned up to the max. Don't let EA win, if we keep buying games like this they will keep making them. Look no further than the first game in the series.

This game is designed specifically to exploit and prey on Star Wars fans. It literally hopes you will trust the Disney brand and blindly fall into it's gambling pit before you realise how badly hidden the spikes at the bottom are. Disgusting, avoid like the plague.

They added micro transactions and made it pay to win then bought re-spawn entertainment, It really sucks that they did this to a franchise like Battlefront, Companies really don't care about treating franchises like these with respect and milk it away like any other product

Even though this game looks good with some decent game play DO NOT BUY IT. No ... not even if you are a huge Star Wars fan; or especially then because EA will just continue screwing a gaming franchise you love.

The loot box and "progression system" borders on predatory with how it pushes you towards micro transactions and pay to win elements. Essentially they want you to continue paying ridiculous amounts of money long after you bought the game + potential dlc later along the way.
Even seeing past this extremely customer unfriendly practice there is still the fact that in 2 years they could just turn off the server. So even if you spend 1000 Dollar + they might just be voided in a very short time. Why not allow people to run their own servers? Probably so you can sell them the next game and start the circle anew.

I repeat. DO NOT BUY this game. If you do, you are part of the problem. If you can live with all these negative elements then that is of course your choice, but complaining and then still buying it, will do nothing and effectively damage the game industry overall. You have power as a consumer and as a gamer. The power to say no and stand by it. The power to hopefully change the direction gaming companies like EA are taking and avoid ruining potentially great franchises in the future.

Star Wars Battlefront II provides a greater ambition than the previous installment. It has powerful war scenes, a brand new single player mode, and shows a much more magnificent Star Wars Universe. But just like the Jedi should be ware of the dark side of the Force, this game also meets some similar situations, such as beleaguered microtransaction elements and character growth problems. The first 10 hours of this game is full of surprises; however, the further you play this game, the more disappointed you will get.
