Nov 15, 2017Visuals = 10
Shoe-horned campaign mode, terrible arcade mode = 4
Loot crates (gambling, the ESRB needs a serious review of their stance) = 0
Developers made a visually stunning, ok-to-play game. EA have destroyed it.
Hopefully tide is turning on loot crate BS -
Nov 15, 2017The campaign is ok but the multiplayer is as good as any other free to play, pay to win game, but only this one cost at least $60, i can recomend the campaign for 20 but the multiplayer should had been free if they were going to go with these mobile game practices, so do not buy this game nor any other ea game until they back off
-
Nov 15, 2017Preorder bonuses
- Tiered pricing (Standard Edition, Deluxe Edition, Deluxe Gold Edition)
- Freemium progression system
- Gambling System (aka Lootboxes)
- Bad Campaign
- Bad Multiplayer due to pay2win business model
- Bad PR
- 'official' Metacritic reviews praising this game to no end
DO NOT BUY. -
Nov 15, 2017Tiered pricing and Freemium content unlock progression makes this game unbuyable. The campaign is bad and the multiplayer is ruined due to the pricing. EA failed.

Nov 15, 2017Unbelievable. I knew this game would have a negative response over the lootboxes, but I never thought thousands of people would give this game a 0 or 1 out of 10. I will play it, just to see what it’s like, despite the lootboxes
However, I still hate EA. Closing down Visceral and mucking up with games like this one and FIFA. -
Nov 15, 2017Im a massive star wars fan and will be suckered into watching all the new movies and playing all the games. Simply because im a fanboy. That being said EA has ripped off the community and taken advantage of the fans love for star wars by forcing micro transactions down their throat. Oh want to play darth vader? better pay 100$ or grind to the end of times.
EA is officially the worst company. -
Nov 15, 2017DICE did a good job! Beautiful and rich game! But EA f*** it up!
1 - Gambling System (aka Lootboxes)
2 - Bad Campaign.
Очень ждала и хотела купить эту игру. Но не буду. Идите лесом мразоты. -

Nov 15, 2017This is extremely unfortunate. I was really looking forward to this game - however the microtransactions and the hardheadedness of the developers and publishers have officially ruined what could have been an amazing game. The Reddit AMA today was absolute garbage and failed to respond or acknowledge any obvious wrong doing by EA or DICE. Truly unfortunate. GG EA, GG DICE.
-
Nov 15, 2017A great game, polished, completely let down by greed.
It’s a full price game but they have a f2p model embedded.
You can’t progress your skills / weapons / characters without gambling.
To get coins to gamble you just have to play... there is no reward for performing well.
Atrocious. Wait and buy it second hand in order to get your Star Wars fix and not rewarding EA for their greed. -
Nov 15, 2017Blatant pay to win witha $60+ price tag. You have to grind for many hours just to use Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, and all of this is with random loot boxes. If you read this, I plead that you don't support this game in any way, shape, or form.
-

-
Nov 15, 2017worst game since Superman for the Nintendo 64. The pay to win scheme is horrible. Just the play the old versions. EA and Disney and ruining gaming and using predatory gambling schemes.
-
Nov 15, 2017Do not buy this garbage infested pile of **** Its a mobile game dressed up as a full release. The entire game has been built from the ground up around the predatory monetization/gambling system.
-
Nov 15, 2017Lootboxes are okay only on a pay-to-win free-to-play game. But it is an AAA title, and it cost 60/80 bucks. That's not okay. EA is killing this franchise.
-
Nov 15, 2017If this is the gaming world EA wants to continue down. I don't want any part of it.
Game is littered with ridiculously long if not impossible progression systems, but hey you can bypass that for the low time fee of $2100 to unlock all content.
Send a message. Don't buy the game. give it a bad rating. -
Nov 15, 2017Micro-transactions and the "Pay to Win" model has no place in a "Premium" $60 game. EA has always been a questionable company that has been voted as the worse US based company twice. It should come as no surprise that this slimy corporation continues to push boundaries. Be smart, vote with your wallet and avoid this crap.
-
Nov 15, 2017The "exploiting your customers" bubble has burst.
Maybe it's time to put the content back into the game?
Also maybe stop closing down studios.
No one is going to buy Titanfall 3: Loot Box Edition. -
Nov 15, 2017and I present you the loobox wars 2, a long time ago in a galaxy far way there lived a greedy corp called ea.where they would make you spend 2100$ to unlock the full game

Nov 15, 2017It's honestly impressive how EA can take amazing titles such as Mass Effect and Star Wars and absolutely butcher them. This game is a $60 PC/console game with the quality of a free mobile game. This game is garbage do not buy.
-
Nov 15, 2017Fantastic game big improvement to 2015 battlefront loot boxes nothing wrong with it, just getting negative reviews because some don’t it’s better than season pass
-

-
Nov 15, 2017The only voice the consumer has in this scenario is reviews, and it is time our voices are heard. We want single-player campaigns. We want to play games, not "license entertainment experiences".
Spoiler: Loot crates aren't gambling because you don't win anything; any contents are subject to deletion or change at the whim of EA. -
Nov 15, 2017No reason you should spend money on a game in which you need to spend more money. Yes, I know, you don't "need" to, but for all practical purposes of enjoying every feature in this game, you do.
-
Nov 15, 2017
-
Nov 15, 2017I do not support this business practice. The real price of the game is hidden in microtransactions and it has become a pay to win game which appears to be aimed to milking as much money as possible rather than providing an enjoyable experience.
-

-
Nov 15, 2017This is a Loot Box Simulator. Pure **** Boring game. EA is the worst company ever. Only for money. Pay to win. You pay more than 70€ and you dont have the complete game. Everything is locked and you have to play during hours to GET A **** CRATE!, And craft using coins only found in crates. Etc. Pure crap.

Nov 15, 2017While the microtransactions are not great, for me they don't ruin what is an incredible Star Wars game. It has the perfect Star Wars feel and the gameplay is simply amazing. I look forward to the changes that the team will implement to improve the microtransaction problems but I will continue to enjoy the game regardless as I feel it does justice to the world of Star Wars.
-
Nov 15, 2017this game looks and plays beautifully. But the disgusting business practices of EA make this one of the worst multiplayer games of all time. do not buy this game.
-
Nov 15, 2017Disney's biggest mistake was giving their most valuable franchise to a company like EA.
If they keep releasing games like this, Starwars is gonna lose its popularity amongst teenagers. No one is gonna buy a Starwars game with a half-ass campaign + a messed up multiplayer made by greedy executives. -

Nov 15, 2017Нельзя завязывать игру формата Pay2Play на донат.
Хотелось больше золота, но жадность фраера сгубила.
ЕА получает заслуженную номинацию "Фейл года". -
Nov 15, 2017the campaign is dreadfully short, beat it in one sitting; and has little replay value. the online is ok right up until some dude comes by with a hero class and kills an entire map, the heros are OP and you have to buy them, even after that you have to hope for the best in matches because only one hero per match so its almost never you; also this loot box is ****

Nov 15, 2017All progression in this game is intrinsically intertwined with microtransactions and lootboxes - essentially legalized gambling marketed at kids. Currently the system requires over $2000 (or over 4000 hours of time) and you still would not unlock everything in this game. It's a $60 mobile game. Do not buy.
-
Nov 15, 2017Execrable capitalist privilege applied to a multiplayer game. Pay to win has no place in full-priced multiplayer competitive games. It's a scam, pure and simple
-
Nov 15, 2017I realy liked beta. New gameplay its great, but giving you 70€ for nothing? I dont want to play just this game to advance. I think its better if would be seasson pass for 50€ than paying for loot boxes. No buying!

Nov 15, 2017advantages:

disadvantages:

credit earning cap,
The true pay2win. Enormous costs or enormous grind. You decide. -

-
Nov 15, 2017It's a Pay-To-Win mobile game, for consoles and PC.
Daily cooldown on rewards for game modes.
**** formulaic campaign.
Pay-To-Win multiplayer.
Do yourself a favor, do literally anything else with your money.
If you want to eventually get a decent Star Wars game, contact Disney and let them know what you think of EA and what they're doing to the Star Wars brand. -
Nov 15, 2017
-
Nov 15, 2017Mediocre single-player campaign, decent multiplayer variety and pretty good visuals. Unfortunately it is all brought down by the randomized, greedy, P2W loot crate progression system that is more of an offender than any horrible random "freemium" cash grab mobile game you could ever find in a mobile app store. All in a full priced "AAA game". Such a shame.
-
Nov 15, 2017NICE! p2w game for 60$.What next ? GOOD JOB EA !Don't buy it! this company is not worthy of our money. The game itself is not bad, but everything spoils in-game transactions!
-
Nov 15, 2017Gambling for upgrades is not at all engaging. People who spend money will have how power than you will from Day 1, and you'll NEVER catch them without also spending money, not unless you grind hundred of hours while being absolutely inferior to the load out of money spending players. **** this game, **** EA. You ruined yet ANOTHER Star Wars game that could have been amazing.
-
Nov 15, 2017why are people making this amazing game seem like its trash, this is an amazing sequel to the garbage Star Wars Battlefront 2015. We have barely even touched the game yet and people are judging the loot boxes. Yeah, the loot boxes were bad during the EA access version, but the loot boxes are going to be fixed and we just need to wait for the full release tomorrow and on Friday.

-
Nov 15, 20175 hour long campaign with paper thin characters followed by multiplayer PAY2WIN micro-transaction system pulled from mobile market games where everything is gated behind casino lootboxes, massive grind and convoluted fake currency paywalls !
-
Nov 15, 2017Terrible game designed to get you addicted on gambling, stealing as much money from your wallet as possible with microtransactions to progress. EA is only getting worse with their greed, please do not buy this game.

Nov 15, 2017Simplemente Chorros y manipuladores!! Engañan a la gente con toda esta porkeria de micropagos. Abusan de una gran pelicula para robarle a sus seguidores y fans. Ojala les vaya como el orto con este juego.

Nov 15, 2017This game is a covered F2P with P2W sells as AAA for 59.99.
If you don't believe me just check videos of how players which donated own players which are just play the game as always. -
Nov 15, 2017Ofter 10hs of gameplay i found a solid game, with exceptionals visuals and sound.
A credits are very easy to optain if you are a good player.
All the rat kid are crying because mom and dad don't gives you money to buy loot boxes and start to guive 0 or 1 calification to the game. -
Nov 15, 2017
-
Nov 15, 2017EA has shown it's hand with this greedy business practice in a full $60 game. The lootboxes impact the game and how it's played with bonuses from starcards you can pay to get. I and many others do not support this practice and EA. Do Not Buy This Game. Parents, do not buy this game for your children. Star Wars Battlefront II is gambling. Do Not Buy This Game For Your Kids.
-
Nov 15, 2017Ea raped my father and killed my mother. Every day I await the sweet release of death to free me from what they made me see that day. I know that not even death will stop these thoughts however.
I do not recommend purchasing this game. -
Nov 15, 2017
-
Nov 15, 2017This game is so much fun to play but these loot-crates destroy everything! lets hope EA is gonna patch them all out and make star wars battlefront 2 great again!
-
Nov 15, 2017The chance to push back on the industry with the move towards more and more microtransactions can lead me to only review a 0. The progression system here is what is becoming more and more wrong with gaming.
-
Nov 15, 2017
-
Nov 15, 2017Decent job from Dice, but total ripoff from EA. This is not a game with micro-transactions and loot boxes, this is game built around payment/gambling method. Do not buy, do not play. Boycott EA.

Nov 15, 2017Loot boxes need to die. Forever. From all gaming. It's essentially gambling and pay to win. This is clearly a profit over art trend that has infected some in the game making community. Please stop it.
-
Nov 15, 2017This is getting out of hand. Unlockables should be available based on the gameplay, not on the amount money investment. This is only extended hand of mobile ( ehm cancer) gaming.
After one positive exception (Titanfall 2), EA is on downwards spiral and they deserve nothing more than being boycotted. Shame on you EA. Maybe we need another crash of industry. -

Nov 15, 2017I'm a huge Star Wars fan since I was 4, I was planning to buy this game ASAP I could afford it, but that progression system based on how big your wallet is instead of your skills is simply a game destroyer, I would understand it (well, almost) if it was a f2p game, but no, its a damn 60$ game :/
P.S: I'm also a developer and this can't be tolerated -
Nov 15, 2017
-
Nov 15, 2017Despite EA's best efforts to destroy this game with microtransactions, the game play is solid, the single player campaign is fun, and the multiplayer is SO much better than the first battlefront. I have experienced a few frame rate drops on Xbox One, but nothing that caused any major issues.
-
Nov 15, 2017Lets be honest, SW Battlefront II is a gorgeous game that plays decently, however it is PAY TO WIN and isn't fair in the slightest. Progression is lootboxes and all the heroes are locked behind pay walls. Not at all worth your time! A decent game completely ruined by corporate greed! Curse you EA, everything you touch turns from gold to sh8t....smh

Nov 15, 2017Do I need to say? Same reason as the others.
Lame game, lame politics and exploration. EA ruined dozen of games, but they can't get away everytime.
If the mechanics are free-to-play like, then charge the game accordingly (better yet: Don't charge!) -
Nov 15, 2017EA strikes again.
If a game has microtransactions, JUST MAKE THE GAME FREE. More people will have it, everyone calms down, and people can spend whatever $ they want on in-game fees. -
Nov 15, 2017Pay-to-win game, is a candy-crush wars, iugggggh :( . EA has become a company that only thinks about money, without honor, without respect, simply something repulsive.

Playstation Official Magazine UKFeb 6, 2018Excellent online action offers hours of Stormtooper-shooting fun, but the so-so campaign stumbles, while cynical loot crates leave a sour taste. [Jan 2017, p.83]
-
Jan 21, 2018Star Wars Battlefront II provides a greater ambition than the previous installment. It has powerful war scenes, a brand new single player mode, and shows a much more magnificent Star Wars Universe. But just like the Jedi should be ware of the dark side of the Force, this game also meets some similar situations, such as beleaguered microtransaction elements and character growth problems. The first 10 hours of this game is full of surprises; however, the further you play this game, the more disappointed you will get.
-
Dec 29, 2017Although game has huge problems with p2w microtransactions, it is still a good and fun gameplay experience with stunning visuals.
