Resident Evil 2 is a complete remake of the classic, and much-loved 1998 original.

.RE2 retains the things many fans love such as inventory management, puzzles and use of key items, and largely keeps the gloriously silly story of the original game intact. Tank controls and static backdrops are gone, in favour of a more modern third-person over-the-shoulder perspective. This makes combat more intuitive and adds to the immersion.

Playing in the dark, with headphones or a good sound system helps create some truly tense moments, and the sound design is top notch. Often you can hear enemies before you can see them, sometimes on the floors above you, sometimes right around the corner - ready to strike!
The audio/visual experience in RE2 is very polished and the game looks stunning, perhaps due to the use of Capcom's proprietary graphics engine, the RE Engine, which was first seen in Resident Evil 7. There were no noticeable drops in frame-rate or other graphical tech issues during my play through; the game ran solidly and smoothly at all times.

RE2 gives you the option of two different protagonists, Leon or Claire, and depending on who you choose, certain locations and puzzles will be different, but not overtly so. Upon completing the game as one character, you can then play through the second character's campaign. The differences are not huge, but you get to see some more locations and play small sections as sub-characters, which helps flesh out the story.

Combat is satisfying, with a variety of weapons to brutally dismember zombies and destroy the monsters lurking in the shadows, however it sometimes feels clunky and stilted. I found myself wishing for a button command which allowed me to dodge enemy attacks. Capcom have flirted with the idea of a dodge mechanism in the RE:Revelations spin off titles, to various degrees of success, and it would have made sense to include one in RE2, just to help the combat feel more free-flowing.

RE2 is not a massive game and each campaign takes between 6-8 hours depending on how thoroughly you explore and which optional puzzles you choose to complete. Capcom have created an experience which is quality over quantity - it's a tight, slick, and well put together game, just don't expect it to be an 80 hour, open world time-sink; it is simply not that type of game, nor does it try to be.

Overall, RE2 is an utterly fantastic and fun experience, despite some minor concerns. I don't regret paying full retail for it, and I think most Resident Evil fans will eat this up, like a zombie hound chewing on a rotting corpse!

I was a child 20 years ago, I bought my Resident Evil 2 game disc with my pocket money, which left a deep impression on me. After 20 years, I can finally return to the Raccoon City. The game make the dark, wet, rotten Raccoon Police Department look like alive, the game flow is very smooth, the tight resources are just right, the young Leon and Claire are very cute. I love this game!

The enemies and bosses were fun to fight. The cons of the game was that the 2nd campaign was very similar to the first. So the second time around wasn't as fun as playing the first campaign. The music was also missing from the game most of the time. The original RE2 had one of the best soundtracks and it was sad that it wasn't in the remake unless you bought it for extra. I hope they continue with this horror route for the future games. It was great to play some classic Resident Evil. I think they could improve in some aspects though. The campaigns didn't feel like a full story and the game felt a bit rushed towards the end. The separate campaigns hardly intertwined also. I had a lot of fun with the game though since I'm a big fan of the classic games. Expand

As an old player, who was 12 when first playing RE1 and RE2 back in the day, I was worried about this remake, thinking "it wouldn't be as it was". And it wasn't, not completely. WhereAs an old player, who was 12 when first playing RE1 and RE2 back in the day, I was worried about this remake, thinking "it wouldn't be as it was". And it wasn't, not completely. However, the characters feels genuine and as I remember them, some of the more epic moments has been kept in like I remembered them and the storyline is, albeit built up more, pretty much as I remember it. Where they've made changes, they've put in alternative scenes, like changing the first licker meeting to a different location or made it play out a bit differently; while yet still having the "feel of the moment" be preserved. I still remember that mind-numbing horror from first seeing the licker, and I felt it again now; to an even greater degree because they have somehow managed to make lickers feel even more bloody terrifying than they were! They're bigger, faster and a genuine threat that makes you hesitate to take them on even if you need to for the one reason or the other. The zombies, you can still run circles around them, for the most part, but they are really pesky and tend to get back up again. So seeing a hallway with 2 or more of them still cause a big lump in my throat, because like the original, ammo is scarce, health items are scarce; and you constantly have to be watchful of how much you spend needlessly.

I can't comment on much more without spoiling, but that's the essence of it. Somehow, they have recreated the "scares" and amplified them! RE2 RM is an absolutely terrifying game to play at times; and there are moments where you think you're safe, just to turn around and see something that makes your heart pretty much explode. I don't know how many times I started swearing at the screen, cause something scared the living you know what out of me. And I'm not that easy to scare, to be honest, having been a horror movie/-games fan for many years.

And it does a good job of making sure you get the kind of game experience you want. If you like it rough, there's hard-core mode. If you're on the squeamish side, there's an easy mode. And if you think maybe you just wanna go the middle way, there's that option too. Another thing I really liked was that you can choose your controller set; alternative buttons for various actions. The default button for the running toggle is the R3 (stick) which is rough on my thumb which tends to get inflamed. I could switch the controller set to one where the run toggle was on R1 instead, which is much easier on my hands. So albeit giving you a hard core horrifying experience; the game mechanics themselves are user friendly and gives a lot of options so that you can play the game in a way that's comfortable for you and gives you the kind of experience you want.

Last things; this game, is possibly the most gorgeous game I have seen in a long, long time! Sure, it's bloody and full of gore, but man those graphics are absolutely amazing from the scenery to the facial animations of the characters. And the atmosphere, created by the eerie music, weird scary noises and the flickering lights here and there; its brutal and ingenious all at the same time. I can't even begin to say how impressed I was by how they've built this fantastic horror play box. There's some serious effort that's been put in and every facet of the game is so incredibly well done.

For me, who was worried when the details of the game started coming out, I can't say anything else than that they really positively surprised me in the end. It's an easy 10/10 for me; and I am so happy that they did such an amazing job with it, considering I've been waiting 5 years for this game to finally show up, after they announced it was in the works. Must be five years now, no? I waited before that too, but the point is; this old timer is very happy with the end result! And even though Claire and Leon looks younger, it makes sense that they do since they are actually supposed to be quite young and looked perhaps a bit too old for their actual age in the older games. Ada was portrayed pretty well too, although she looks more Asian/white than actual Asian. Imagine a Kristin Kreuk, only maybe a bit less sweet and with a bit more bite.

I babble. 10/10 guys. Highly recommended if you like scaring yourself silly, hehe. And it works for both old timers like me and the new crowd, I'd imagine, as it tells the story well and stands on its own feet.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Resident Evil 2 is the remake fans of the game and series have been looking for. There is so much that is done right with this iteration of RE2. Lighting and the OTS perspective add an eerie dimension to once familiar haunting grounds. New players and old will be thrilled and chilled with the additions to the game.

The classic modes, such as 2nd scenarios, The 4th Survivor, and The Tofu Survivor are still there. New unlockables are available, too, such as art, models, and some nice secrets for hardcore (not necessarily the hardcore mode) players. And Capcom is planning on adding Ghost Survivors for free on February 15th, which will add another mode to the game, so this game is just packed to the gills with content without any of them feeling bloated.

Much of the game has been cleaned up to reduce the amount of drag in the game. As well as this, the survival horror aspects of the first 3 games are brought back in a wonderful. You're encouraged to not waste bullets on every zombie, though a skilled player can still take down every enemy with no real issues. Many of the set piece fights are changed up to keep players on their toes, including old RE2 players familiar with every aspect of the original game. What's also nice is that the story is allowed to unravel a little less rigidly. You're given no pretext about Umbrella until later in the game.

This game really sets a high mark for game remakes, and I hope that Capcom will at least follow up with RE3: Nemesis, which is also due for an overhaul for modern generations.

It comes so close to being perfect; The only lack luster aspects of the game are the somewhat underwhelming story and characters, but it still makes for an engaging enough plot with decent enough characters to keep you invested and care. The true nature of this masterpiece is the atmosphere, it's level design, the amazingly well rendered and animated monsters, and the sense of desperation as you try to survive with the limited resources that you have. Despite enemies getting somewhat repetitive over halfway through the game, they always manage to be unpredictable and creepy till the end. The true star of the show is mr. Expand

I don't want to seem pretentious so I'm just gonna lay all my cards out on the table and say I don't think it was a great idea trying to do both. Shooting enemies in the game is unsatisfying. Every enemy is very bullet spongy, because the designers clearly wanted the player to not be able to kill every enemy they come across. So very obviously they wanted players to get used to playing something like REmake 1 where you planned you route, learn to juke zombies, and speedrun as fast as you can to the finish by learning the layout. This should have been fixed camera like the classics in my opinion because the third person camera lends itself to action but the gameplay doesn't. The good thing about the action oriented RE games is that the combat in those games are fun on their own and you could play those games just for that and it would be a satisfying experience. Combat in RE2make is very not fun. You're supposed to avoid combat at all costs if you can. The meta of the game is just avoid all enemies and sprint to the finish which makes the replay value of the game very diminished after you learn how to do this. I completed the game twice on Standard, then twice on Professional, then did the 4th survivor plus Tofu Survivor before I wrote this review. Expand

Mr. X is sheer terror incarnate, the puzzles are streamlined with a delicate balance of old school inventory management, limited ammo, speed running capabilities, tension/survival horror, and added story beats. The remake damn near made me cry at certain points with its updated and emotional portrayal of the chaos. Adding a more profound emotional impact of everything that is happening to Claire, Leon and other survivors during the city collapse only make the fears of every encounter all that more freighting.

I have beaten it twice since its release and plan to play even more over the next 20 years. Indeed a classic and early GOTY contender.

Cons: The different story lines... don't fit together at all. I was expecting the A & B stories to be intertwined and complement each other. However, this isn't the case, the plot of those supposedly different stories don't align, they are more or less the same, but with different characters & weapons. Weirdly enough, certain enemies have a completely different fate depending on which story you chose - which makes no sense and feels like this aspect has either been rushed and/or not been cared about. The old games were much better in this regard, and I can't help but think that if Shinki Mikami still worked for Capcom, he would never have let such an obvious flaw come into the game.

This is my biggest issue with the game, and the reason why I can't give it more than 8/10.

The engine used (RE ENGINE) has been improved from RE7 and the new camera angels works almost perfectly (few spots where a bit awkward).
The re-imagination of the RE2 story is perfect, as a fan of the lore i couldn't be happier.
The game is lengthy enough to enjoy it but not long enough to discourage second breakthroughs.
New comers to the series will enjoy it as much as older fans, this game combines the best of being a huge fan-service to the original and offering new perspective to new comers.

A few satisfying ah-ha! moments have you unlocking a vital shortcut back to earlier areas, powering up weapons, and of course, blasting a few dozen zombies along the way is great; but the lovingly implemented improvements don't best the tedium still at this game's core. Standard… not much easier if you are doing ‘too well’ as game adjusts automatically the difficulty (zombies start moonwalking, covering their head with shoulders or back while walking towards you, dancing around your aim and troll you, and take a many, many headshots to die, and even when dead, maybe they will feel like coming back to file). The aiming system and tanking zombies are a gameplay pillar as this is what prevents you from rushing everything and ruining the experience of a Survivor Horror. Passing by zombies is very dangerous as they will jump on right away if you are within reach. From start to finish, Resident Evil 2 is a challenging love letter to the game it heralds from. Its progenitor was a flagship title in the horror genre, being a sequel itself to the wildly successful Resident Evil. This time around, we're treated to a re imagined version of the classic game in stunning visuals punctuated by the RE Engine, first used in 2017's Resident Evil 7.
I don't need to accquaint anybody with the story beats, so rather here's the rundown of the gameplay: You'll start the game with one weapon and eight inventory slots regardless of which character you choose. Both will start with a modest handgun and one clip of ammunition. After you get introduced to the game proper you will be forced to fight, and avoid deadly zombies, mutants and scientific abominations, all the while collecting upgrades such as hip pouches, weapon upgrades etc. There's little downtime during this game. Which could come as a disappointment for those who enjoyed Resident Evil 7's beautiful balance between tension and brain teasers. Depending on your preference, Leon's story will be far more leaning on the Tension, with very little room to breathe after you near the mid game. Claire's story on the otherhand is very generous with ammunition, healing herbs, and everything you could want and focuses more on careful inventory management and knowledge of the area to optimize your backtracking.
That said, a note to anyone playing this game for the first time: The first 3 acts of the game are not an action adventure title like Resident Evil 4. If you try to shoot and knife every enemy you see- you will run out of ammunition and your knife will break. Your enemies will quickly feel overwhelming as a result. However- every enemy in the game can be dodged and avoided. It is possible to beat the game without sustaining any damage, though it is difficult and requires a knowledge of the enemy behaviors and patterns.
Which brings me to my next portion of this review which will contain spoilers. You are warned.

The famous Mr. X or Tyrant, or T-00 of Resident Evil 2 is back. And he's beautiful. And he's broken. During my three playthroughs I found that Tyrant is actually quite an enjoyable mechanic after a time. However, he does come with a few problems. Tyrant is unkillable, which for most Resident Evil fans is fine, invincible enemies that you avoid are a staple of the series. (Well, for half of the series.)
Tyrant will skulk around the Police Department searching for witnesses of the Raccoon City Zombie pandemic and proceed to violently eliminate them. This time around Tyrant relies on various cues to find where you are. However- it does seem, I've had an issue as have several others where Tyrant will teleport to rooms he couldn't reasonably be in. For example (The common one) appears to be that he'll enter west office and appear at the door at the top of the ladder in the library should you attempt to move the bookcases. Keep in mind that this is not scripted and on my other playthrough this did not happen. So it could be a common bug that will be patched out later. However, playing on large room dynamic sound from my TV display did result in some confusing chases involving tyrant. The sound would appear to suggest that tyrant is in the next room, only to find that he's possibly in a room below me or above me, with no indication of which is which. Facing the direction of Tyrant does not improve the situation. This is likewise unintentional, or mitigated by more expensive sound setups than I usually use for gaming. After several runs of the game, you begin to recognize enemy patters and it becomes less scary, and moreso fun to run around- ducking and weaving enemies, solving puzzles and beating bosses with no damage. And it seems like the game is meant to reward you with dozens and dozens of unlockables such as alternate costumes, new game modes, a 3D model gallery (complete with usually 1 to 3 animations that you can preview), fun weapons such as a Samurai Sword. There's a lot to enjoy in Resident Evil 2 remake. My short list of two gripes versus an outstanding game full of atmosphere is the reason I'd rate it so highly.
In closing, I'd like to point out the sound design. It's nothing to brag about by today's standards, but it does successfully evoke the sounds of the original game, and I believe that was the intention. The music underpins the entire moment to moment action. Those disappointed by it should politely raise their volume a little bit. The music is atmospheric, unnerving at times, and in truly safe areas, it releases tension and I'm sure improves your mood. The entire game experience was accented by strange sounds of wheezing air compressors, interval ticks, and dissonant synthesizers. It's a 90's game, in a beautiful new package. 9/10. (Don't pirate by the way- the game is worth it.)

Resident Evil on PS4 has lived up to every expectation. The game-play has evolved to fit within today's standards while keeping enough of the original in tact to please old school gamers like myself. The nostalgic moments the game creates are uncanny and I've been enjoying every minute. The atmosphere is dark, suspenseful and terrifying and when the Tyrant (Mr.X) joins the fray, there isn't a moment without tension thereafter. New mechanics, locations, and many surprises throughout are very welcomed additions while throwbacks are a plenty as well. It is highly recommended to get the deluxe edition complete with the original soundtrack swap (which will bring back so many memories from the original). Overall, the game has been everything Resident Evil fans have been asking for and more. The two stories of Leon and Claire are different enough to act as two separate games and the "2nd run" mode switches everything up enough to keep it fresh through four different playthroughs. Capcom came through for Resident Evil fans everywhere with such a successful effort that a Resident Evil 3 remake is a foregone conclusion. Expand

Now lets get into why, first off i thought the game play and puzzles was really fun and after beat leons a story i was ready for more but the playing claries b and even claire a leon b it feels like they didn't even try to make the two stories make sense together. SPOILERS to start of in Claires b Annette dies before the cut scene where she runs into Leon again(now you can pretend like she just passed out but looks very much like she dead) secondly William kills Mr. X before he mutates into bigger Mr. X which is fine except for the fact he is running around chasing Leon after that point in his trench coat that doesn't have a big slash in it or anything. Thirdly it takes a couple boss fight and has them at the same place in the same way in each story first William fight he breaks the platform your on and then fall down, then as the other character he also breaks the same platform which the platform should already be broken in on which this isn't a bigger deal but after a while gets ignoring. Then they also redo this fight with a crane and William, then redo a another fight with William and this is the worst one. On Leon William jumps do Annette shows up shoots him with some sort of freeze gun and then send Leon to fight it in Claire's at the same exact place even right before Leon does it , he drops down Annette shoots him with the same thing and then Claire goes down herself. Then at the part where Claire is behind the gate and can't get into the police station from the trailer will as so as Leon leaves she comes right in 2 minutes later from that gate because apparently the key was not far away which makes no sense why they never run into each again until the end. Last complaint Mr. X now on Hardcore he is probably really hard but normal he is nothing all you got to do is run from him and he won't catch you and this only happens for a small portion of the game to the point that i don't care about him at all. Now some positives lickers are terrifying and hard just the way they was in the original, fun but easy puzzles, and fun game play. i enjoyed the upgrading guns and combing gunpowder together which is also one of the reason i liked 3. In the end if you can get past that if feels like the developers just wanted to rush the game to release it faster and not worry about stories screwing up the other its really fun but the fact that they kept saying they was going for a more canon and then its more noticeable then anything make it quite frustrating Expand

I gotta confess I am bit disappointed. The game isn't bad, but I was expecting a 9 out of 10 (just like the original) instead of a 6. Also, what's the point of calling it a remake when it is 70% different from the original? The locations where the story is set are the same, but the campaign is different. It is just a different game. The result is an "adventure" inferior to the original, and less terrifying and claustrophobic.

The ammunition is exaggeratedly scarce and shooting anywhere else aside from the head seems uneffective, so low is the damage caused on the zombies. If you were to try to kill a zombie by shooting their chest, it would take like 30 bullets. They also exaggerated the amount of times a dead alive can get up again. When you shoot them and they fall to the floor, you have to "kill" them like 4 more times so they are dead for good
I honestly think that the unofficial remake (made by fans) that got interrupted thanks to Capcom would provide a better experience and closer to the original.

I was expecting that this game would be to the original Resident Evil 2 what Resident Evil Remake was to the first game, but it doesn't even get close. I hate to say that, but even if this was the same game but with polished graphics, would have been a better experience than this.

This is a lot inferior to Resident Evil Remake

This is the remake we have been looking for!

Play history: Resident Evils 2 - 6 plus some spinoffs. Wow! That is my first impression. This game is what I've been looking for after some disappointing titles. Survivor horror is back, never been so 'can't play by myself' scared playing this since Alien Isolation. Gone are the guns and **** load of ammo from REs 5 and 6 which to me

Wow! That is my first impression. This game is what I've been looking for after some disappointing titles. Survivor horror is back, never been so 'can't play by myself' scared playing this since Alien Isolation. Gone are the guns and **** load of ammo from REs 5 and 6 which to me were more action games than survival horror.

One thing about this game is the simplicity of things. Simple as in the HUD and in game menus not the gameplay!! Exactly how it was with the original but now with excellent visuals and detail. From the bullet wounds on zombies faces when you shoot them to the bite marks and claw marks on your player from a recent tussle with a licker.

They still kept the over the shoulder view from the previous games but removed one really annoying thing. No more QTEs!! (Quick Time Events). Just pure tactics whether to run, shoot or knife your way to certain areas. Smart use of wooden planks to barricade windows in key areas. Once you get your bearings and consider yourself a badass zombie killer, the game throws in a spanner in the works in the form of "The Tyrant". One mean mutha about 9 ft tall mutant wearing a trench coat. Looks like a roid raging Nick Valentine from Fallout 4. This guy is indestructible and will chase you down and pummel you until you're a meat pie that has been run over by a truck.
The only time I've died not due to the Tyrant's bommy knocker arms but actually running away from him into a pack of lickers that weren't in the corridor before. Trademark of RE games, areas change every time usually when you've picked a quest item (like a key to a locked door ) they will make you run a gauntlet to get it to where you need to go. I applaud the hardcore players who play it on the highest difficulty.

One thing missing but don't think would be plausible is online or split screen co op. Leon and Claire didn't really set out together in the main storyline so I didn't think co op would work.

Don't have to be a RE fan to enjoy this. If you love the scare, survival horror and the feeling of hopelessness this game is for you. Hope they remake RE3 which was my favourite along with RE4.

RE2 was my absolutely favorite of the whole series not just because of the gameplay but also the story/lore behind it and how awesome it was to play two difference perspectives. I sunk 100's of hours into that game. The remake is no different and actually enhances/brings me back to those memories. The dread, the horror of encountering zombies for the first time. The lickers being dangerously scary to encounter. Hats of to CAPCOM and the creators of this masterpiece for sticking to the original theme and still giving us a powerful gaming experience. This is hands down the best nostalgia experience I've had in gaming in a long time and I can't wait to sink in 100's of more hours fully exploring the depths of what this game offers. From a long time fan of the series. Thank you! Expand

I've been a fan since the 1st game released, it scared the hell out of me as a 10 year old and I was hooked to the series ever since. Now as a 32 year old this game really brought me back to my childhood and made me feel like that 10 year old all over again, it was nice to have that feeling.

I only had a chance so far to play Leon A and Claire B I did not play Claire A and Leon B yet

I only had a chance so far to play Leon A and Claire B I did not play Claire A and Leon B yet but I have to say that this remake is amazing and is better than the original in almost every way ( except the soundtrack which can be purchased as dlc for free if you bought deluxe edition)

Capcom went above and beyond with this remake. There are a few nitpicks like the game takes place in 1998 but they have some items and other stuff that dont fit with the time period, it's not a big deal and there are only a few times I noticed it in the game (mainly in the police department) Another nitpick would be when Mr X is following you it is awesome but there is a couple places he can not follow you and instead he will wait outside the door and punch you once you exit and there is not much you can do about it. I also didn't really care much for the sewer area but then again I don't like any sewer area in any game .

    Leon A took me 7 h 34 m and Claire B took me 4h 54 m

@AlexFromNorway - You do know that they plan on completely removing all user reviews off of websites like metacritic and it's because of dumb "reviews" like yours. Why play a zombie game if you do not like gore or things that go against the bible? Also if your virgin ears can't listen to swear words then maybe you need to play games that are rated E...

Really hate games that expect me to run past enemies instead of shooting them. Half way through the game a bunch of enemies start to appear and that annoying unkillable tyrant as well. Running like crazy, almost dying and rushing through everything is not my idea of fun. Regret buying big time. What a waste of money.

Literally everything from the ground up has been upgraded for the Remake. The game has the over-the-shoulder perspective from RE 4 make a comeback and in a very well done way. RE 7 makes an appearance with its menus and inventory system being used for the game, as well as basically being in the same engine. And RE 3 makes an appearance with the re-introduction of Mr. X, or as he goes by in this game, the Tyrant. The Tyrant will be the most divisive part of the game as he's unrelenting in perusing you from the moment he's introduced, which makes traversing the RPD and doing the puzzles much more difficult as there's really no way to get him off your back. It's a good challenge though and makes those sequences much more enjoyable, at least for me, since the game encourages multiple play throughs and, after completing the game once, you'll already have a very good understanding of the game moving forward.
Speaking of multiple playthroughs, the main draw of the game is the fact that you play through the campaign as both Leon and Claire and seeing both of their storylines as they happen, supposedly at the same time. Each campaign will probably take an average player about 8-12 hours to complete the first time through. There's also the "B" side campaigns which act as almost a randomizer for the other character who you didn't play through initially who go through the RPD building in a different sequence. It was very well done 20 years ago and they did an excellent job at keeping that in tact for the Remake.
The characters are very well done too. Each story is loving crafted for the modern day, and there are some story elements that have been added to both characters' storylines that will make even the most hardcore fan of the original game appreciate how much time was put into the game. The graphics are absolutely amazing too as each character looks very well done, including the zombies.
Overall, this is a game that's hard to pass up for pretty much anybody. The horror elements are really well done and, if all companies treated their remakes like this one, the already overwhelming amount of them would be much easier to stomach. It's not often you get a Game of the Year candidate in January but this is easily the best and most polished game I've played since God of War last year. This is an easy purchase and an even easier recommendation for me to make to anyone who has even a passing interest in video games.

The only bad reviews I have heard from this game so far are from people claiming to be Resident Evil "fans" who never even state a single valid point for why they are hating on this game so much. I have heard that this game only gets good reviews because of the hype which is simply just not true. It's getting good reviews because fans of the series have waited forever for this and Capcom certainly delivered the goods. Read one review from a Jesus freak claiming the game is blasphemous and has too much vulgarity in it. That simply must be the case for someone who never actually even played the game and is just here to bash on it for being rated M for Mature. If you are that touchy about such a dumb subject matter than why in the world would you pick up an M rated game in the first place especially one in the Resident Evil series? Nothing disgusts me more than a person who doesn't play a game, but is more than glad to bash it saying that its too violent or that it is just popular due to hype. Did you ever think that once in awhile hype can actually pay off you morons? Also learn how to spell correctly and use proper grammar before you write a review for the whole internet to see you dolts! Great story, awesome gameplay and graphics and plenty of it takes me back to the good old days of playing the original with many of its settings. If you don't like this game than you are either not a fan of survival horror or you simply just don't get what sets this game apart from others in the genre. If you don't get into it than you just don't get into it that is all. Doesn't mean you have to give it a low score and complain about it so much. For example I never liked any of the "Halo" games ever. Doesn't mean I am going to deny the fact that they are actually good games with a great story and superb gameplay. Just because something is popular and you don't happen to enjoy it does not change the fact that overall its generally well received. Just too many children on this site is all I can say! Expand
