    What an absolute gem of a game, As a die hard Ratchet & Clank Veteran having grown up with the Ratchet & Clank series and having it as my Favorite game franchise to date. I can gladly say that this game is Everything I remember from the PS2 days but done better in every single way. The biggest improvements are to gameplay while the story is more or less the same, The gameplay isWhat an absolute gem of a game, As a die hard Ratchet & Clank Veteran having grown up with the Ratchet & Clank series and having it as my Favorite game franchise to date. One of the hardest things about replaying the original game was not being able to strafe or upgrade weapons. Well stress no more This is 100% Insomniacs best Ratchet & Clank game to date. While my personal favorite will always be Ratchet & Clank 2: Going Commando. This game is better in terms of gameplay, replay value & nostalgia. Как и все сонивские Эксклюзивы она просто идеально оптимизирована, игра в честных 1080P и 30фпс(но такие, что ты не ощущаешь что она в 30 идет,очень гладко),она очень быстро грузится(5 секунд примерно),круто переведена, переработано управление,Кому не нравилось в переизданиях, что не добавляют контента, вот сони решили ответить на этот вопрос. Новые Боссы, новое оружие, новые враги,планеты,повествоание сюжета тоже изменилось(хорошо написан, куча шуток, начало игры ломание 4 стены),игра начинается по другому, в игре сюжета больше чем в оригинальной игре и его дополнили(показали с другой стороны).Игра просто сделана с 0 просто переработано все, как за ремейк 11 из 10.Если у вас есть PS4, то не поиграть в Ratchet and Clank

    Okay, I wanna say it now, this isn't worth the 40 dollars I spent. Is it fun? Yeah. But it removes and quarter rears SO many elements that were done SO much better in the previous games, Most of the weapons are recycled and there's just an over arching feeling of laziness, if you ask me. Again, this game is still tons of fun, but it falls slightly shot of it's destructively epic legacy.Okay, I wanna say it now, this isn't worth the 40 dollars I spent. Is it fun? Yeah.     This was the game that PS4 needed for the console lunch instead of Knack (aka i want to be Ratchet and clank so badly........). That said, its a fantastic game on every single aspect. Beautiful, Funny, lenghty and gameplay is great, very polished product and what is shocking is........ price is just 39.99 !!!!

    Super-enjoyable - Great to see the beginning of Ratchet & Clank again, stunning visuals, fun weapons, great humor and as always great voice acting. It's just an all-round feel-good game. Definitely recommended, I got it for a great price on PS Store. It's a definite 10/10 from me!

    Excellent return to form for the Ratchet and Clank series, just as good as the originals, if not better. It keeps a lot of things from the first game, but mixes it up enough to be it's own thing. Lots of new and returning weapons, level variety, puzzles that I still suck at after all these years, but I can overlook that, funny writing... And they've brought back Challenge Mode, (Fancy wayExcellent return to form for the Ratchet and Clank series, just as good as the originals, if not better. It keeps a lot of things from the first game, but mixes it up enough to be it's own thing. Lots of new and returning weapons, level variety, puzzles that I still suck at after all these years, but I can overlook that, funny writing... And they've brought back Challenge Mode, (Fancy way to say new game plus) giving you tons of replay value in an otherwise fairly short game. The story could also be a bit better, but I'm sure the upcoming movie will flesh that out a bit more. Overall, a fantastic game, recommended to PS4 owners of all age groups.… Expand

    The game takes the best elements from the later games in the franchise, such as the jet-pack, combat mechanics, upgrade system, and tighter controls, and it feels fantastic to run around killing enemies. The game's problems start to show, however, when you realize that some of the level designs haven't matured along with the mechanics, as some of the levels and enemy designs are very similar to how they were inside the original game. The story also feels quite a bit weaker and disjointed since it's trying to tie-in to the story of the movie. A lot of Ratchet and Clank fans might be polarized by a lot of the levels and more adult dialogue that they cut out. It's especially jarring to have a Ratchet and Clank game without arenas and skill points, two major staples of later games in the franchise that are conspicuously absent here.

    Overall, however, this is still an extremely fun game and is better than a lot of the AAA games that have been coming out recently. While it's not the best in the series, this game does show that Ratchet and Clank can still be relevant in this age of video game realism and maturity.    … Expand

    Okay so before this games release I went out and got the Ratchet and Clank HD Collection and replayed the first game (I actually replayed them all but you get the idea XD) just so my memory of the game would be fresh when it comes to comparisons. I am huge fan of this series and have been pumped for this since it was announced. How did it turn out?

    Story/Characters -
    In my opinion this was the most improved upon aspect. While the original games story wasn't bad it was super bare bones. The characters (at least the ones that get screen time) are way more likable and relateable now, hell I even liked Qwark and I hated him in the original, yeah he got more likable in later games but in the first one he was just annoying. The story also feels more grand and epic than in the original. Seriously I cannot stress how well this was handled, they kept just enough the same to make it feel familiar but added just enough to make it feel new. Honestly I would like to see this re-imagined story continued with more games but we'll just have to wait and see on that one.

    Visuals/Sound -
    I know others have pointed this out a lot already but my god, the visuals in this game are STUNNING, it seriously feels like I am playing a CG film from Pixar. That is how good this game looks, yeah its not hyper realistic but its not meant to be and as far as cartoony looking games go this is easily the best looking I have EVER seen. The sound effects are all really well done and the music is super fun and catchy as well.

    Gameplay -
    Honestly this is the most fun I have ever had with a Ratchet and Clank game. It brought back some classic elements and blended them together with more modern ones (like raritanium upgrades) to make what I honestly feel like is the best playing Ratchet and Clank game so far. Not to mention new fun systems like Holocard collecting. The weapons, both returning and brand new, are all really fun. One of my favorites is the Pixelizer which turned enemies into highly detailed 2-D sprites and when they die they fall apart into a pile of Pixels, the amount of work that must have went into that one weapon is impressive. The Groovitron is also really fun as always ;) Movement (running, jumping, and thrusting) all feels really smooth and natural. The controls just in general are super responsive.

    Verdict -
    This game is AMAZING. Seriously it is pretty much perfect and I would honestly love to see them give this same treatment to Going Commando and Up Your Arsenal. The Story is vastly improved over the original, the Visuals are absolutely jaw dropping, and the Gameplay is (in my opinion) the best in the series yet. They weren't kidding when they said this isn't a remake, its a re-imagining, because this blows the original out of the water in every aspect. If you are a Ratchet and Clank fan or even just someone who wants a Nintendo quality E rated game on your PS4 then you NEED to pick this up.    … Expand

    SImplesmente apaixonante... toda aventura, os personagens, armas, sistema de evolução, cartas, piadas etc. Melhor de todos pra mim sem dúvida é a arma Zurkon, e no nível 5 fica ainda mais engraçada. Cheio das piadas hilárias rs! Nota 10

    This game was the reason I bought a PS4. And I have to say, it did NOT disappoint. This game was a masterfully crafted perfect storm of old melded with new. It stayed surprisingly faithful to the original in terms of a large volume of the stage layouts, but switched up enough details to keep things interesting, both in gameplay and story. The plot has been updated to be more complex thanThis game was the reason I bought a PS4. And I have to say, it did NOT disappoint. This game was a masterfully crafted perfect storm of old melded with new. It stayed surprisingly faithful to the original in terms of a large volume of the stage layouts, but switched up enough details to keep things interesting, both in gameplay and story. The plot has been updated to be more complex than the original, and switches up during the last act in a way that, while probably predictable for someone fresh, would throw off anyone who thinks they know how it will end just because they played the OG R&C. One drawback I can think of is the bloated cast, inflated by the presence of the, for the most part, somewhat unnecessary Galactic Rangers. They never really do anything besides keep the player company during stages, and this alone takes away from the "Ratchet & Clank vs. the Galaxy" feeling that was captured so well in the original and subsequent titles like Going Commando and Tools of Destruction. However, that is just a personal complaint, though it, along with the restructuring of the plot, can be attributed to why the game doesn't have as many locations as the original, and therefore is not as long. While this game does not reach the same peak of the series that A Crack in Time did, it is a more than welcome return to form for the franchise, and makes me eagerly await more in the future. The question is not whether or not this is a good game, but rather, "if you own a PS4, and you have not played this yet, why the hell not?"… Expand

    Very rarely do I play a game all day long... but that's what happened with this one. This game has a ton of personality, weapons, upgrades, tactics, and level variation. The attention to detail is astounding, from game play to level design to the graphics/assets. Incredible for exploration as well, with lots of secrets you have to hunt around for.

Each planet is incredibly varied, both in terms of detail, and gameplayOne of the best Ratchet and Clank games to date. Ratchet and Clank on the PS4 is simply a masterpiece. Bright, beautiful graphics, with great particle effects, and varied environments. This game looks amazing, every time I travel to the new planet I am sent into a state of Nostalgia, and mouth watering admiration. Which turns enemies into 8 bit sprites, while making game over noises and turning them 2D. The dialogue is funny, clever, and the game manages to tell an interesting new story, even though it is a re imagining of the first game. To sum it up this is a game every single Playstation 4 owner should have. Whether you are a fan of the series or a newcomer, if you are young or old, this game is amazing.     I am on my third play through and am STILL having a blast! Awesome maps, sweet enemies, fair and amazing gameplay, the list goes on and on . AND it looks stunning! This is a must buy for PS4 for only $40

    Rachet y Clank, Un juego sumamente DIVERTIDO, un poco de todo , aventura, accion, su toque clasico hace que recordemos esos juegos de antes que nos hicieron fanaticos de los videojuegos, espero que sigan haciendo mas juegos asi me gustaria ver muchos mas juegos como estos.
    Si no lo tienes tranquilamente lo puedes comprar no te arrepentiras de haberlo hecho.

    Este es el tipo de juego inprescindible para cualquier jugador de PS4. Este Remake esta muy bien hecho en cuanto a graficos y en cuanto a jugabilidad. Es una gran oportunidad para probar el Ratchet And Clank si nunca lo probaste. Un exclusivo importante para PS4.

    I'd just beaten the original "Ratchet and Clank" on the PS2 when this game came close to release. I'd pre-ordered it ahead of time, because the series really intrigued me and I wanted to support the reboot since I grew up with Insomniac (since the Spyro days) and they make really great games. Finished the first game, loved it, and then picked up the reboot, and it's just as great, if notI'd just beaten the original "Ratchet and Clank" on the PS2 when this game came close to release. I'd pre-ordered it ahead of time, because the series really intrigued me and I wanted to support the reboot since I grew up with Insomniac (since the Spyro days) and they make really great games. Finished the first game, loved it, and then picked up the reboot, and it's just as great, if not better than the original!

    First thing's first, the game looks GORGEOUS on the PS4. The amount of detail this game has, especially in areas like Metropolis, is astounding. The controls are fluid and really easy to get used to as well. While Ratchet felt a little slow in the first game, he's a little more speedy here. If I ever fell off a ledge, I was the one to blame for bonehead moves, it was never the controls or Ratchet's traction or anything like that. Clank feels good to control in his segments too; again, he was a little slow in the original game, but it feels good to control him here.

    The structure of this game is very similar to the original, but there are new elements that weren't in the original game that will keep veterans on their toes and newcomers entertained. The characters are all likable, even the ones that are going to be in the upcoming film. They're introduced here so that we get to know them; that way, when we see the movie, we'll know who they are, which is a really good move in my opinion.

    The self-referential humor is actually really great; most of the characters are aware they're in a game (and a reboot, at that), and the jokes that come from that are pretty funny. There are even some other jokes that serve as subtle references/cheeky nods to the first game, like the mechanic from the planet Novalis covering up his -ahem- "plumber's crack," which is something Ratchet made fun of in the first game. Little references like that are great.

    All in all, I am so glad Insomniac decided to return to this franchise and reboot it for today's generation of gamers. It, like many well-done reboots, serves to bring in newcomers to check out the series while satisfying long-time veterans, and as a veteran of only the first game in the series, I for one have to say Insomniac did a phenomenal job with this game. Seeing as the big platforming icons like Crash, Spyro, Sly Cooper, and others haven't been around for quite some time, this game serves as the ultimate example of "You can in fact return to an old platforming franchise and revitalize it for the current generation of gamers and it WILL sell." Of course, if you return to an old franchise like the ones I mentioned, you'd have to handle a new game in their series right, or else, well...let "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5" be an example of what happens when you DON'T handle a new game in an old franchise with care. It's obviously not a platformer, but it's a poor excuse of a skating game in general, let alone a THPS game. But returning to my original point, this "Ratchet and Clank" reboot is amazing, and I definitely recommend it to anyone who's a 3D plaformer junky, whether you know the franchise or not. Hmmm, with this game in mind, maybe later down the road we can possibly get a new Spyro platforming game in 2018 for the purple dragon's 20th anniversary? Wink wink, nudge nudge?    … Expand

    Good cartoon graphics but very repetitive and boring gameplay. All you do is collect a lot of things to upgrade weapons to fight tedious enemies. Not much excitement here. Another Ratchet and Clank game is all it is. It doesn't have the puzzles that A Crack in Time had that added variety to a rather monotonous game. I'll give it a 1 for the graphics.     Good to see a colorful game on PS4 and with an astonishing technical level. Insomniac prove their technical skill if it was necessary. If only Crash could come back to Sony and being developed by Insomniac .

    An absolutely amazing, fun, gorgeous looking game. If you're a PS4 owner, please do yourself a favor and play it. You will get your money and times' worth, and I enjoyed ever second of it. I really hope Insomniac makes more sequels.

    The characters, as always, are as heartwarming as ever and the humor still reigns supreme. The pacing through the challenge sequences is perfect and just keeps the sense of satisfaction blooming with every kill and every level completed. There's just something so wonderfully addictive about pulling in the gush of bits and bolts after enemies and crates are dismembered....it's fun running about, after a stage has been cleared, just to smash every hidden crate and vacuum up every stray cog. The weapons with their progression trees are easy to use yet both diverse and creative..just a riot! The gunplay itself is superb, though perhaps a bit cup-cakey if one is a hardcore shooter fan, I'm guessing. I love shooters as well, but by no means consider myself a pro. I'll never turn up my nose at a casual shooter if its done well with artfulness and skillful execution. R&C is excellent in this regard...a class act.

    Highly recommended for anyone looking for a spot of refreshing color after grinding through the darkness of DS3 for hours upon hours. You know who you are ;) Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to this little gem    … Expand

Es un juego de acción muy bueno y con un narrador que es el superheroe que se ve al principio del videojuego. Una de las cosas que falla es a la hora de mejorar tus armas. Lo primero, es que, es un poco difícil encontrar fragmentos de titanita (debído a su escaces), que son los fragmento con los que podemos mejorar las armas o los acompañantes. Y lo segundo es que las mejoras no son nada del otro mundo. Cuesta un poco poder mejorarlas y no dan apenas beneficios al arma o acompañante al que mejoramos.
    Luego, los objetivos secundarios son escasos y apenas hay easter egg; aunque yo no le doy mucha importancia, lo quise comentar.
    También me gustaria destacar las cartas que hay de coleccionables, y que si tienes algunas repetidas, puedas cambiarla por otra que tú no tengas. Eso sí, por cada 5 cartas te dan 1. La verdad es que yo, no hubiera organizado de esta manera el tema de estas cartas, no se como, pero seguro de que así no.
    Simplemente le di un ocho por la mala personalización de armas (es una opinión mía que va sin ánimos de ofender a los fans de juego). Esto de la mala personalización de armas también incluye la haber tan pocos fragmento de titanita. Y también por la manera de organizar el tema de las cartas.    … Expand

    Spoilers Start here skip ahead to avoid them.

    This game is marketed as a remake of the original and while that is true, it is more a reboot of the original mixed slightly with Up Your Arsenal. The main villain is still Drek, but this time Dr Nefarious is thrown into this game, his original appearance is in Up Your Arsenal. There were also some slight changes to how they handled the characters and their relationships. Making them a bit more kid friendly and almost certainly did so because they want the movie to appeal to kids heavily, but it works. Captain Qwark is no longer the villian he initially was in the original and is instead a good person in this one who suffers from a bit of jealousy that is directed at Ratchet, and even after his betrayal in this game he still remains good hearted and in the end redeems himself. Making his character very likeable unlike in the original series where he didn't have his turn to good until later in the series where he became a much more prominent character. This is good for the character as Qwark, at least to me, is a better character and much more enjoyable once he reaches this point in the original series and it's good to see it happen in what will hopefully be the first in a new series. The one drawback from a story standpoint in this game is there is no tension or conflict between Ratchet or Clank, and are instead buddy-buddy from the get go and never look back. I felt the conflict that these two had in the original lead to some great character growth for Ratchet and we don't get this here.

    The best part about this game though is the gameplay. They have fined tuned the R&C series over the years and it shows. Aiming is the smoothest it has been, same goes for movement. The collection of weapons, while certainly not the most diverse it has ever been is very solid and has a lot of great choices to choose from for destroying your foes in front of you. Every weapon serves its purpose and can support many different play styles. Of course some series favorites return in the Groovinator, Bomb Glove, and above all else the R.Y.N.O.. Along with some new weapons like the Predator Launcher. Upgrading weapons is a bit more time consuming in this game than the original but there are far more upgrades for each gun.

    The planets proceed close to what the original game does with some slight changes here and there. Each world though looks gorgeous and there were plenty of times where I just had to stop to look around.

    There are some very R&C esque glitches that can happen, and you would think that with the extra time that was given on this game they would have ironed them out, but no. There can instances of not being able to progress in certain levels because something didn't spawn properly, I fell through the map quite a few times, and during the race mini game there would be times where the boost rings wouldn't spawn. A quick closing of the app fixes these problems but still, they shouldn't be happening.

    Ultimately, this entry in the R&C series is a worthy one and is certain to entertain you for at least a few play throughs even with the bugs that can occur.    … Expand

    Fantástico, increíble y espectacular. Esto es mucho más que un remake. Es un juego hecho con mucho mimo y que sobrepasa las expectativas puestas en él. El control es una maravilla y los gráficos están en otro nivel, realmente parece que son imágenes de una película de Pixar.

    Ratchet & Clank looks and plays as well as it ever has. Fans will enjoy the nostalgic journey through familiar planets, while newcomers will appreciate the chaotic and creative weaponry. But for the ninth game in a franchise that built its name on unique weapons, it’s a shame that the arsenal just coasts on fan-favorites. Insomniac played it safe.

    Insomniac Games did not just remake this classic platformer. They boldly bombarded it with ideas and then rebuilt it pixel by pixel using methods unknown 13 years ago. The result is magnificent. [06/2016, p.50]
