    This is one of the best remake that I have played so far. I remembered playing a few levels from a friend back in the days and this remake version just blown me away. Thank you for bringing back some good old childhood game!

    I really don't get the critics on this one and I'm glad to see that users are giving it better reviews. They're the ones who know their stuff! ;-) Anyone who fell in love with the original will be THRILLED by this modern take on the game. Not only is it still super fun to play but now it's also a beautiful modern game packed with cool surprises. I    A kick-ass remake of a PS1 classic!

Not only is it still super fun to play but now it's also a beautiful modern game packed with cool surprises. I must say I was very pleased by the fact that they've used the original voices. How cool is that? The gameplay is very good, the modernized cartoony/goth-ish graphics are wonderful and the music is perfect. You can tell that they put a lot of efforts to modernize the game and it was sooo worth it.
    If you want to split hairs you could say that some (and only a few) of the secondary character designs could have been a little better, a little "cuter", but it really doesn't matter in the end because it truly is a great game overall. I'm giving it a 10 since I had so much fun revisiting it. Thanks for resurrecting sir Fortesque once again!    … Expand

    This game is amazing keeping what made the original great and just updating the graphics and slightly modifying the controls was the best thing they could have done. All the little cry baby fortnite fan girls on here saying it’s horrible that wouldn’t know a good game even if it offered them free money to stay home and not work.     absolutely kept his original story and gameplay it is almost flawless. the this with remastered games is keeping the original form that is exactly what the did with this game and added a super cool easter egg that you can play the old version from 1998 on completing the game %100 procent

    Un juego divertidisimo, lo estoy buscando en la edicion fisica ya que me gusto mucho aunque me gustaria que arreglaran la camara que varias veces no te deja ver, no creo que sea tan complicado

    Thank you for the second experience. The quality of work at a high level. When the game first came out, it had a very cool game design that still looks cool in retro perspective. Thanks.

    Игра может показаться детским незамысловатым платформеров, но на деле это совсем не так! Очень атмосферная, и хардкорная игра, прямиком из детства, как мне нравится Атмосфера Хэллоуина в этой игре, мистика, существа из легенд и сказок, все это присутствует в игре! Так же хочу отметить, и юмор данной игры очень жду такой же ремейк второй части!Игра может показаться детским незамысловатым платформеров, но на деле это совсем не так!     Gorgeous game. I'm a MediEvil fan and played the original version on PS1. I was very pleased with the remake.

    Pros:
    1. Great graphics 2. Variety of locations
    3. Excellent musical accompaniment

    I am so thankful for this remake. I never got the chance to play the full game when I was growing up, I only had the demo, which I loved. I didn't have the money for it and opportunity passed... Until I saw the promotions for this faithful remake. This game oozes charm and personality, I have played this game the past couple October's and it couldn't hit the spot anymore.     If you like MediEvil PS1 and Crash Bandicoot and Spyro remasters you will like MediEvil PS4.

    I finished the game platinum in 12h of Gameplay and ok, yes the camera is crap sometimes, but better than the PS1 version. One of the flaws they fixed in the PS1 version was when there was a chest with a weapon in it and you switched to the weapon in the chest, it automatically took the place    If you like MediEvil PS1 and Crash Bandicoot and Spyro remasters you will like MediEvil PS4.

    The downside of the game is lost souls. SPOILER, we unlock the lost souls in the Advent last table and to have them all, you have to redo all the tables a 2nd time and in a specific order, to unlock the MediEvil PS1 version. Ok great, but the game is in English too bad.

    MediEvil PS1 is a game from my childhood that I like to redo on occasion for Halloween, for nostalgia or just for fun, but with this version I'm not sure if one day I'm going to redo the PS1 version.    … Expand

    This is a outstanding remake of the original game. The meta score from journalist is bs! Just look at the user score.

    I grew up with this game, started with Medievil for the ps1 and it was just magical. One of the best exclusives for the ps series.     One of the best remakes I’ve ever played, the design alone is quite impressive. I loved every level of the game even the difficult elements in later levels. Sometimes can get frustrating but generally if you think about your approach to the challenge, it ends up being rewarding. Hope they remake MediEvil 2 at some point too

If you can appreciate remasters like Crash or Spyro, this should hit home as well. Ignore what the critics have said: I can't help but to wonder if they actually played or liked the original at all. Even if the game is a bit on the short side, the price point is very fair. Every level is very different, and the game always throws some curve-balls with every new level. Support a good product, hopefully it will ignite the flame for the publisher to create a remaster of MediEvil 2 which we absolutely want and need.… Expand

    A gem of a gem with that brilliant soundtrack we all love. I loved MediEvil 1 & 2 back on the PS1 and it was a treat to re-experience the original MediEvil with todays visual glory and smoothed out controls. Other Ocean Emeryville did a terrific job with the music and visuals and kept the atmosphere and humour of the original game. I really hope we'll see MediEvil 2.

    Loved it like i did the original back in the day and the little extras from the lost souls made it even better for me. As long as you take into account the gameplay is from a ps1 game and dont excpect gameplay from the current era you should enjoy this.

    This game is a nostalgic trip to the days of the original PlayStation.
    With visual, audio and other small improvements.

    Beware that this is a remake that is very true to the original release from 1998.
    Bad camera angles and clunky movement included.

    I did enjoy playing this game again.

    Lo que llevo jugado me está encantado y veo cosas buenas como malas las cosas buenas que veo son que gráficamente es precioso y cuenta con una banda sonora exquisita que supera la original con creces, solo en el nivel del mausoleo jugando con esas melodías de fondo se me ponía la piel de gallina, y alguna mala por las cuales para mí no llegan al 10 son que la cámara aún teniendo la nuevaLo que llevo jugado me está encantado y veo cosas buenas como malas las cosas buenas que veo son que gráficamente es precioso y cuenta con una banda sonora exquisita que supera la original con creces, solo en el nivel del mausoleo jugando con esas melodías de fondo se me ponía la piel de gallina, y alguna mala por las cuales para mí no llegan al 10 son que la cámara aún teniendo la nueva cámara de dan y teniendo cámara libre aún que ojo, ninguna de estas está siempre disponible puesto que en algunas zonas están capadas, pues aún con eso el juego tiene una cámara muy tosca y se hace antigua y otra cosa por la cual no le doy el 10 es que veo un remake superior el hecho en PSP antiguamente del que muchos se olvidan y lo pasan por alto, pero aún independientemente de eso es un juegazo y lo disfrutaréis como lo estoy haciendo yo todos los nostálgicos de la ps1… Expand

    pocos juegos consiguen enganchar tanto y mantener al jugador con una sonrisa de oreja a oreja constante, Medievil es uno de ellos, atemporal un homenaje al original como pocos se han visto, la banda sonora, el doblaje, hasta los artes de los trofeos, todo con mucho mimo no es perfecto, con un mejor framerate y la cámara más pulida ya sería de 10 es    hecho con amor desde 1998

    More than 20 years after its released on PlayStation 1, Medievil is back from the dead on PS4. Unfortunately, it looks much more like a remastered version than a full fledged remake. It shines with colorful graphics and spooky atmosphere, but its gameplay remains too rigid, and its mechanics haven't aged well. A title reserved for fans of the license or lovers of Halloween and «The Nightmare Before Christmas».

    It's a short, but very intense adventure, with brief cinematics, compact maps without padding or copy/pasted elements. It brings a lot of variety into the world teeming with bland "sandboxes".

    If you disregard the nostalgia factor, the game is anything but extraordinary. It won’t win over new, younger players... but on the other hand they are not the target audience. [13/2019, p.78]
