    The game is a disgrace and a disaster, just the graphics are a little cool but the gameplay is awful the controller is just ridiculous, too much hype for this piece of thash.

    Me parece un remake lamentable, ha envejecido mal. No lo he probado pero lo q he visto en trailers me parece patetico. Nada puede igualar al remake de zelda de la switch, q aprendan a hacer remakes, En mi canal Fortdragonia explico los motivos por los q este juego me parece lamentable.

    It's a blast from the past, that has seen absolutely no updates to our CURRENT age in gaming, other than the graphics, and which goes entirely on nostalgia from the millennials who played it in the stone age of gaming.

    I could go into details but this game is not worth the time to do it.

    It should be a crime to rate this garbage 10/10. There are actual garbage games that are better than this. But it looks like the dev team and their friends are working dilligently to up the scores. :D    … Expand

    Los programadores de Medievil han conseguido una proeza y es que este remake salvo por el lavado de cara gráfico es peor que el original. Lamentable.

    Man, this is woeful, absolutely woeful. Where to even start?

    The graphics are terrible, the gameplay is as clunky if not worse than the PS1 version, the sounds is tinny, the loading times are like going back in time. The worst thing for me is the camera though, at no point does it ever feel like it's in the right place, no matter what you do. 20 minutes in, I'd spent about 19 of them not    Man, this is woeful, absolutely woeful.     Seriously, avoid this travesty. I stupidly bought it even after playing the demo, I thought surely the full game would be better. I was wrong. This will be on PS plus within months, as nobody in their right mind will buy it if they read reviews, me being a moron had it preordered.

    Una oportunidad perdida porque aparte del lavado de cara gráfico era necesario revisar los controles y la jugabilidad. Un juego mítico convertido en la mediocridad mas absoluta.

    It' funny to see the ponies trying to getting up the scores, because this game fails hugely. A big letdown from the original.

    A big disappontment. The game has only graphics, lost the fun, and the gameplay hasn't developed properly. The game was taken by the hype, like most Sony games.

    The good:
    A new game from Sir Fortesque (it would have been best if he hadn't returned)
    The bad: A remake that nobody asked for. They didn't update their mechanics. Little effort is seen in texture and level restoration work. The controls feel very clunky. The remake makes the characters look even uglier. The Meh !: Many are calling it nostalgia but this game is not a recognized    The good:

    Me he comprado el juego en un disco Blu-ray para Ps4 y sin descargar actualización no se puede iniciar la aplicación, una verdadera tomadura de pelo.

    Ooootro remaster que me cuelan. Control y jugabilidad prehistóricas. No divierten nada. Dificultad absurda en algunos puntos. Bugs como quedarte atrapado en algunos huecos. Sólo una cosa. P**** espantapájaros.
    Podían haber mejorado mecánicas , controles y jugabilidad pero siguen anclados en los 80-90. Sin evolución. La consola casi vuela al morir en el combate final del nivel de las dos    Ooootro remaster que me cuelan. Control y jugabilidad prehistóricas. No divierten nada.     Абсолютно убогий и безыдейный ремейк. Корявость механик порой поражает своей кривотой. Графона нет, но игра умудряется тормозить. Вообще нет положительных сторон.

    I was disappointed. When i first saw the game i was really interested but now finally playing it i really don’t like it. Clunky control seems to be my biggest problem

    This game did not age well. The gameplay mechanics are dated, the hit detection is poor, the objectives are not fun to do, the difficulty is uneven, and the checkpoint system is atrocious. I can keep going. It’s just not a fun experience. I wanted to like it so much but after a few hours I had to put it down out of frustration. It’s definitely not what I was expecting.

    Installed the demo and never played the original. After 20 min I was literally sick with character control and camera movement. I felt the framerate was 15 fps most of the time. I can't believe this game was approved by Sony in such state,

    As someone who absolutely loved the PS1 original back in the day and also enjoyed the PSP psuedo remake I have to say that this game is just one giant missed opportunity. The devs had an oppurtunity to beef up the gameplay and bring up to a more modern standard thereby appealing to a newer generation of gamers but instead all they did was remake the visuals. What was once a chatming andAs someone who absolutely loved the PS1 original back in the day and also enjoyed the PSP psuedo remake I have to say that this game is just one giant missed opportunity. The devs had an oppurtunity to beef up the gameplay and bring up to a more modern standard thereby appealing to a newer generation of gamers but instead all they did was remake the visuals. What was once a chatming and unique Tim Burtonesque 3d platformer in the late 90s is noe a clunky tedious mess that will only appeal to those who are nostalgic for the original. Its a shame that the devs didnt do more because this remake couldve reinvigorated the franchise.… Expand

    I hate this game so much! This is a Remake! Why is the combat still such a pain? Enemies are dealing damage when I touch them? Thats such a dumb mechanic and frustrating. And why no checkpoints??? This game is unplayable for me and I can't finish this game.

    More than 20 years after its released on PlayStation 1, Medievil is back from the dead on PS4. Unfortunately, it looks much more like a remastered version than a full fledged remake. It shines with colorful graphics and spooky atmosphere, but its gameplay remains too rigid, and its mechanics haven't aged well. A title reserved for fans of the license or lovers of Halloween and «The Nightmare Before Christmas».

    It's a short, but very intense adventure, with brief cinematics, compact maps without padding or copy/pasted elements. It brings a lot of variety into the world teeming with bland "sandboxes".

    If you disregard the nostalgia factor, the game is anything but extraordinary. It won’t win over new, younger players... but on the other hand they are not the target audience. [13/2019, p.78]
