    Leveling Up to 50=Pointless(Still get one shot by rocket launchers, adaptoids, stilleto, spin damage) on Elite
    Armor and Gear=Pointless (provides little to no benefits for more than just one type of situation, has no visual benefit and doesnt provide more armor or damage towards elite or heroic levels)

    This is the worst game I've played since Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5, gameplay is so bad it's frustrating and just not fun. I really wanted this to be good but maybe I'm not enough of a marvel fanboy to enjoy a bad game because I like the characters.

    Story is short. Cutscenes start abruptly. Menu is so complicated and confusing. More frustrating to navigate than to enjoy.

    Such a disappointment. Freezes and crashes. Gameplay, every mission is Destiny recycled. Clean an area out of bad guys and then retrieve something or do something to end the mission. The heroes are grossly and purposely underpowered. There are only three notable villains from the comics. Iron Man's controls are incredibly clunky. Because the Avengers are disbanded your choice of charactersSuch a disappointment. Freezes and crashes. Gameplay, every mission is Destiny recycled.     This game is unfinished, long loading screens, models not loading in, falling through the world, etc needed way more time. The story also feels rushed as hell, a huge character fight and makeup from said fight didn't take 5 minutes. Wait a few months or skip the game all together.

    Precisaria ser adiado pelo menos uns 3 anos. A historia até que é "legal" (Não zerei a historia até agora, meu personagem cai no limbo infinitamente q é RIDÍCULO) NÃO VALE A PENA!! Jogo muito MUITO repetitivo, cheio de Problemas e sistema de microtransações horrivel!! parece de jogo gratuito de celular (sem contar o valor dos créditos que é um abuso). Jogo rushadaço!!!!

    OMG....this game is sooooo horrible. the story is probably written by a child and that annoying nobody kamala khan is seriously obnoxious.
    the gameplay is super repetitive and boring af. the level designs are utter trash. thanks square enix for making this **** so bad...that i will never digitally preorder a game ever again.

    Amazing 10 hours story and that's about it... Lvl up Thor to lvl 46, got tired of the repetitive gameplay/ennemies/environnement... So a big 2 for the story only, everything else worth skipping. Good games to buy at 15$. Won't play again till Spiderman and Hawkeye are released. Ain't worth my times or grind...

    It’s a lie. It’s obvious it won’t get better , we don’t want more content we want a whole entire better game. That’s how awful this game is. Got bored in the first two hours cause I already knew what I was gonna do, repeating the same whole destiny construct.

    The Game was just boring to play you can just press the attack button all you want and still complete the mission but the only other thing I give them flack for is that they said no microtransactions but that was a complete lie but overall it was a waste of $50.

    Not at all worth your time despite an incredibly robust combat system. Nonexistent mission variety, lacking enemies and a humiliating lack of early-to-late game content leave this feeling more like a sixty dollar fangame than any AAA title.

    Fun to play for half an hour. But the missions are repetitive and boring and the story is dull. Not worth a full game price. Didnt even bother trying the online stuff. Had so much potential but wasted in a Microtransaction focused game. The only positive is being the Hulk but that gets old fast.

    This game feels empty and lifeless. I'm not sure why it was made as it was made because it's honestly awful. Idea of Avengers characters in one game is good, but the way they did it doesn't work at all.

    I actually created an account to write how disapointed I am. Don't be fooled by the games title. It let's you play avenger from time to time, but after about 5 hours with the game, I can say that for majority of it, game makes you play unknown teenage girl, which is not only boring but simply bad character.     Who asked for a Destiny kind of game with the Avengers? I wanted something similar to Spider-man or the Batman Arkham saga, not this Frankenstein of a game conceived in a meeting room full of greedy.executives. Also, technically the frame rate is choppy.

    The Loot system is really the biggest problem with this game, most missions are ranked higher than your power level and gear and difficult even on challenge 1, but for some stupid reason you keep getting gear lower than the gear you have on, even the reward for finishing a challenging mission gives you gear lower than what you have.

    This game has one of the worst level designs I ever seen in a AAA game. The combat is so boring and repetitive. The boss fights in this game are a joke. There is barely any boss battles, despite being a superhero game. The physics are laughable. The pacing is awful.

    The camera in this game is beyond horrible, making the game tedious.     Timed mission with heavy enemies, capture points and items to add a few seconds to clock. Just add all this to an underwater area and you have the worst level ever!

    The story is bland and short. Gameplay is very one note. I gave this game a high score because I like avengers.
    Terrible writing could have saved this game and made it better. So the story is short but we can look forward to end game content which is nice.

    - the graphic looks like a mobile game - Trash loot system. Doesn't make any difference , just spam all the buttons - microtransaction - tons of bugs and glitches.     This is a mess of a game. It's an absolute piss take on a triple A game. Gameplay is repetitive, the graphics are horrible. Its an uninspired button mashing affair. 0 thought was put into this game and it stands to be a greedy cash grab.

But things change after I met Hawkeye storyline’s boss. I found the most annoying boss in my decades’ video game experience: about only 6 times’ mistakes are allowed in about 15min’s battle in which even with a perfect dodge, I can be hit, and beyond attack preview red zone I can be stunned.

It is honestly an embarrassing experience, the live service is joke to steal player's money. There is no creativity, no interesting story or characters, but there is about 10 minutes of fun buried deep in there somewhere beneath the microtransactions.     Love the fact that Square Enix released a Marvel game with such beautiful graphics. The story is immersive and the aesthetics of the AIM enemies are true to the ones in the comics. I was astonished by the fact that this game was dubbed and subbed in other languages. A must buy for any Marvel fan! Can't wait to see more characters added!

    It's also pretty clear that they don't want you to play this game single player. Once the missions start, it turns in to a co-op game. When playing single player, the computer takes control of the other player and does so poorly. The game might be a little more fun if you play with friends, but the fairly broken combat system will still ruin your experience overall.

    Let's talk about the combat system for a minute. The game tells you to do specific things to use abilities and such. Half the time, you can't get the abilities to work. When they do, they may not trigger when you want them to. To top it off, there's a ridiculous amount of additional animation for most move, which just leaves you completely vulnerable with no way to cancel out. This makes fights much more difficult than they should be.

    On the positive side, the game does look pretty nice on the PS4 Pro. I'd image the PC version would look even better. I only got the PS4 version since I got it for stupid cheap with due to a pricing error on Amazon.     Got it three days early and it was buggy as hell, two patches later the game is still a buggy mess. Character freezes during combat, certain trophies will not unlock even after doing what is required. Avengers:Paygame is probably multiples worse than Anthem in terms of the final product the devs delivered.....I will say, the story was worth playing through with some fantastic voice acting and sliiiiightly above average script....     While you are playing the game you get the feeling it could be on of these smart phone games. Every time the same level, some small (invisible) upgrades for your character, countless copies of enemy types and so on. The only difference is that there are no ads (so far) in Avengers.

    This game had the potential to be one of the best games of the year. Don´t get me wrong, I was not hyped but when I heard about it the first time, I thought, this could be exactly, what players want as an Avengers game. But it the end it is just a new chapter of games which are only made to generate money from pointless things likes costumes. I don´t really care if it is not pay-to-win.

    The comics, the movies and the brand with all the characters and stories should have been the basis for a growing game that makes you play it for months/years regularely. Nobody expected a GTA 5 or soemething like this. Just a game where somebody can explore the Marvel Universe.

    When I played it over the last week (got it early) I tried it out as much as possible because I wanted to find the part which creates real value. And for some hours the tactical fighting can be fun.

    So when you get it cheap in a few months and you have time feel free. But for everyone who wanted to see something special, please just be aware that this is made to sell stuff, not to take players on a journey.

    It is basically a summary of what is going wrong with game development and the whole industry right now. Focus on costumes and this one tiny equipment that gives you one point more strength and make money with it as much as possible. In these games you are no gamer anymore, you are a consumer/customer. The more I think about it the more you can compare the game with cash cows like NBA 2k or FIFA..    … Expand

Was able to complete the entire Campaign with little to no graphics issues, the odd black screen here and there, as long as I wasn't connected to another live player. As soon as a second, third, or fourth player joined Graphics would begin to lag as well as overall server connectivity. LG NanoCell 4K UHD HDR 49" Smart TV, with Xbox One X, and a proper high speed HDMI cable meant for high performance 4k.

    Content - Severely lacking. Campaign leaves a bunch of unfinished quest lines, unacknowledged dialog(at the end of one of Widow's "SIDE" quests, Pym tells her to talk to someone in the Science bay, but there is no one in the Science bay she can talk to, nor can you even at that point of the game, go to the Science bay as widow). The Campaign is labeled as a Single Player mode and yet every quest, mission, and dropzone is a multiplayer online mission. Finishing the Campaign isn't finishing the Campaign, cause Avenger's Initative, which is supposed to be their Multiplayer, is actually Campaign Part 2. And there is a lack in end-game content. You get 2 weekly and 2 daily missions per Hero that takes like 2 hours to complete. With 6 individual "Character Passes" that shows a "Free" line, which means they are more than likely going to be adding individual paid lines to each pass in the future.

    Multiplayer Connectivity - Can sit for 2 hours or 2 minutes hoping that someone is going to be able to connect to you is also about to start the same mission as you. When people do connect to your lobby, there are no obvious hosts, so randoms can come in, start your lobby and leave; making it so you now either have to close your game or go through the 5 minutes of loading just to quit the mission and start the process all over again, and thats assuming that mission you wanted to do in the first place is still there, because War Table resets and Vendor Item Resets don't follow their server time resets in any pattern.

    Bugs - tons of exploitable bugs easily found without people noticing, I.E. Thors Particle Vaporization. Combining Thor's Innate Shock and pushback Crits, with Pym Particle Shrink Crit and increased Damage can quite literally cause enemies to shrink, while thor is using his brute strength to push enemies into walls, through the map and get vaporized in the nothingness, and thats assuming there isn't anything under you otherwise they'll get stuck under the map unable to die, making you have to reset the mission. Very common to also achieve while using ODINFORCE and PINNING ENEMIES TAKE PYM DAMAGE when you throw your hammer, enemies will go flying through the air, shrink, and fall right through the map as the hammer will land on the ground pushing them right through.

    Day 4 of owning Starts at 12:02am 15/09/2020, Thor level 50 PL 135 and Rising, Everyone else is at least 25 and at least PL of 50. Except Cap, cause he's a useless enhanced human.    … Expand

    I bought the early access game. I played the campaign and it glitched with me at interrogation Anixity (talk to tony at the war table). Finally they fixed it with this latest patch but after almost 10 mins playing i glitched again with kamala ( once an avenger (follow iron man) ) and I cannot handle it anymore. I’ve been waiting for this game to at least let me finish the campaign so i getI bought the early access game.     This genuinely makes me sad this entire game is not a thing, its a shadow of something masquerading as a game. I remember to when I played What remains of edit finch, I genuinely felt something when playing that game and I walked away from it good, in a better sense I walked away from it clean. It's hard to join a random match but it still say quick match, u can't start one but it says quick match. The online part is horrible and it's too complicated to play online with urs and even randome people. The online part and frs really need help.     Personal take: I did the Last Avenger Standing mission from the Reigning Supreme chain, was already on the 11th floor and the objective was "Defeat all enemies", which I did, but there were only four human grunts. I defeated them but nothing happened. Reloaded checkpoint nearly 10 times, still nothing.    … Expand

    -Buggiest AAA game of the decade, from falling through floors to eternal loading screens to odd facial distortions, this game could be used in game dev courses as it displays ALL possible types of glitches you can think of. It has ALL of them, not one game will be glitch free.

    -Stale predictable writing, not uncommon and somewhat expected in a super hero game, but still a let down.

    -Gear progression is completely useless. While you are under power level 130, nothing you find matters, because gear drops are based on power level, so you spend ALL of your leveling time simply puting the biggest power number items in to their appropriate slots. Even if it drops your stats and you lose good perks, they're all meaningless because it is a race to 130 power level and you need the good gear to drop. They couldn't have made leveling a character more boring even if they tried.

    -Repetitive. Yes, these type of games are always repetitive, but this one sets the bar to a new high. Soon enough the only thing you have to do everyday are the dailies, there are 4 possible bosses... you get 2 a day... They also always come in the same level, and believe it or not, you can get the same boss in the same level twice in the same day. Amazing.

    -Forgot to give players an endgame. You level to power 150 and then that's it, there is nothing to do except grind for resources, that you don't need for anything at this point. There is no raids or high end dungeons to tackle with your friends, you do vaults or hives, which are always the same thing and can't drop exotic gear.

    -Fails at single player and multiplayer, was sold as a multiplayer game first and foremost, so everyone was quick to forgive the short 10 hour campaign that stars the most boring character Marvel has to offer. But it also fails to provide anything to do online as well. This may be the first no player game ever made.

    -Cosmetics, you would think that where they can milk money out of those poor eternally forgiving superhero fanatics would have been polished, but nope, the skins are simple recolors of each other with minimal actual difference in actual models. WAY over priced and incredibly stupid, who wants yoga pants hulk? Or Fabio viking leopard Thor?

    -Empty promises, with every patch we are told that new exciting content will be coming soon, that the now almost non-existent player base will grow again, that the bugs will be fixed. The fact is the game is still buggy, there is till nothing to do and the missions are still unrewarding. Every minute you invest in this game feels like a complete waste of time. Today the new hub was released and the new rifts missions introduced, and guess what? They are as boring and cheap on rewards as the rest and that hub serves no purpose whatsoever. If this was april 1st i would guess it was a joke.

    This game is worth 15-20$ at best and even then with the nonexistent player base i doubt CD will get the GO for much content in the future. This game should serve the gaming industry well in showing everything you shouldn't do when making a game, and at this point the best thing that could happen is for Marvel to pull the license and give it to someone else asap so that we can get a decent Marvel game while the movies are still hot/warm at this point.

    P.S. Whoever was in charge of the fighting mechanic, you deserve better, look for work somewhere else.    … Expand

    This game is terrible compared despite all of the hype for the game. I have waited for this since September 2019 and when I got it and finished the campaign it was very disappointing. It gets so repetitive as you take control of an area by sitting in a circle or take command posts. Iron Man was sort of cool though. :(

    It could’ve been a great single player title. The publisher chose to go down the game as a service path though, and those who prefer to play solo need to tackle run-of-the-mill co-op missions. The multiplayer on the other hand is messy, chaotic and in the long run boring. When the developers manage to fix the most pressing bugs and find a way to bring more variety to co-op, this might become a solid game. Right now, I can only recommend it to the biggest fans of the Avengers. [11/2020, p.26]

    This is the perfect example of "Games as a Service" done right. Marvel's Avengers offers up a superb campaign story to play through that is promised to be expanded on in the future. The gameplay may be repetitive, but it includes just enough to keep players interested and invested in the endgame content that is available now to keep this game going until the next step in its roadmap. The possibilities and potential in the future here are hugely exciting.

    There have been plenty of moments during my time with Marvel's Avengers where I’ve genuinely had a great time. But this game keeps finding ways to drag itself down- at times it almost feels like it goes out of its way to do so. There’s just so much here that I can’t overlook, no matter how hard I may try. An unnecessary and broken loot system, a litany of horrible technical issues, uninspired and one-note mission design, and a story that fails just as much as it succeeds- it doesn’t matter how mindlessly fun the combat is, it isn't enough to overcome such a heavy list of problems.
