There are issues to be ironed out, the Auto Combo being a huge one right out of the gate, but none of the issues I have with the game can’t be fixed with patches or updates in the future. The core of Marvel vs Capcom Infinite shines like the Infinity Stones it features, and there are Infinite possibilities of where the game can go from here. It’s Mahvel baby, and it’s back in a big way.

Infinite is a great fighting game, which succeeds in mixing both universes with a great combat system. Combat feels great, but it falls short on game modes and unlockables.

It's rough to not have X-Men in this game, and the graphic choices lack a comics flair, but the gameplay feels nice and free and the focus on Infinity Stones truly is an excellent choice.

It ultimately doesn’t matter if you’re upset with the roster, because at the end of the day Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is a great way to spend a night with friends. The combat feels smooth, the depth is there for dedicated players, and it’s a much more feature-complete offering when compared to the launch version of Street Fighter V. There’s a ton here to like, and those who dismiss it will only be missing out on one of Capcom’s finest fighting games.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is a fighting game that tries to appeal to everyone, and it largely succeeds (unless you’re a die-hard Wolverine fan). I occasionally cringed at the bad one-liners, but I also giggled with absurd joy every time photojournalist Frank West tossed a demigod like Thanos across a dilapidated space station. Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite isn’t trying to be taken seriously; it’s a series of geeky what-if scenarios that play out in spectacular aerial battles. After I embraced that, I had a lot of fun.

Different rather than strictly better or worse, MvC's combat still holds up, even if its personality doesn't. [Nov 2017, p.68]

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that despite how polished the game feels, with its newly revamped audio tracks, revitalized roster and extemporaneous movement abilities, that I still long for the days where the X-Men filled the ranks of playable characters.

For the moment, I'm confident in saying that Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite plays well, which is good, because everything that surrounds that base game is a hot mess. It deserves a lot of the initial terrible buzz it received because unless you have your hands on it, Infinite just looks like refried hell. The Vs. series has never exactly been known for its high production values, but for a major fighting game release in 2017, this borders on embarrassing. It's a fun game that's often difficult to look at, and more so than any balance patches or DLC, it could use a fresh coat of paint.

The game's roster of fighters feels severely limited, but this flaw is more than made up for with Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite's deep combat and tons of new features.

Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite offers one of best iterations of the series's gameplay, but its weak presentation and lacking roster prevent it from achieving excellence.

Great game mechanics and new elements ready for the battle. The Infinity Gems and the new Active Switch will like to the enthusiasts of the fighting genre, but elements like the story mode, the strange roster and the questionable decisions with the DLC are disappointing for the product.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite may have some flaws with its visuals and roster, but its gameplay is so strong that its not too hard to overlook them.

A good but not great beat'em up that does everything perfectly inside of the ring, but doesn't offer enough variety outside of it.

Marvel vs Capcom Infinite is a good game for newcomers, but the hardcore fans of the series can still found a deep and rewarding combat system. So even if it doesn't match the epic scale of Marvel 3 by any mean, is a great way to bring back one of the biggest crossovers ever and a cool new entry on the series.

Capcom takes a more accessible approach to bring new players in, and the strategy becomes more important than ever in the fights. We miss some characters and some more options for one player, but it still is a good option.

Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite is undeniably one of the best fighting game out there. Capcom found a striking balance between depth and accessibility, tweaking a spectacular yet chaotic formula into a frantic gameplay with tons of options and mechanics. And yet Capcom ditched the most important thing: personality.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is already one of the most compelling fighters in quite some time, because it addresses the genre’s biggest problems in so many creative ways, while keeping play interesting for returning fans. The gulf between the skilled and the green, has been large enough that the fighting game community has become infamously insular. Infinite proves that basic accessibility need not come at the sacrifice of depth.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite introduces some twists to the formula that will likely be divisive for the hardcore fans of the series. However, a compelling story mode and the balanced introduction of the Infinity Stones will satisfy new and old players alike.

It plays as well as the series ever has, and is far more accessible than previous entries, but there’s infinite room for improvement in terms of the roster and presentation.

Marvel vs Capcom Infiinite is a good and fun game, with nice simplified mechanics and a really cool story mode. Too bad its roster lacks some iconic fighters like the X-Men at launch.

Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite has a lot of history to live up to, and while it doesn't surpass any of the previous entries, Infinite does make a strong case for being the most accessible game in the franchise.

It’s a shame that it doesn’t have the visual fidelity or single-player content of some of its competitors, because it knocks the shine off what is otherwise a really fun, deep and varied fighting game. At its core, Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite is a game that offers a fresh spin on the series’ tag-based combat and, provided the online works upon release, is another top-tier fighting game.

In a big year for fighting games, Marvel vs Capcom Infinite squares up to its rivals confidently. With a healthy amount of content, it makes up for the lacklustre launch of Street Fighter V, despite not being quite as good.

Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite is a great fighting game with an ugly appearance. The main adjustments to the classic formula provide intense combats and many choices for creative players.

The Infinite roster is a wasted opportunity within a project developed without ever coming out of a cozy comfort zone. A safe but sad choice. An understandable approach, considering the current reputation of Capcom among its old-time fans.

Even with all my complaints, I couldn’t help but enjoy my time with Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite. I really, really enjoy playing the game and playing with the variety of characters - it’s just a shame that when combining two amazing universes such as Capcom and Marvel so much feels restrained or held back. Infinite might be the next big esports fighter, but this feels like a rough launch.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite offers a very good and funny gameplay, but the game lacks in contents, especially if compared to a lot of other beat'em ups you can play this year.

While the tag fighting gets an interesting layer by adding the effects of the infinity stones and the rock solid mechanics are spot on, the inconsistent artdesign and especially the surprisingly bad script in the story mode with its cheesy one-liners make you think that Capcom somehow bit off more than they could chew.

While Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite’s tag-team fights are like a bolt of lightning from Mjolnir, its story is dreadful and its characters look like they were deliberately designed to spawn a million derpy memes. It manages to be easily one of the worst and also one of the best fighting games in recent memory all at once. Like its heroes and villains, it’s stuck between two worlds.

Enjoyable both by newcomers as well as experienced players, Marvel vs Capcom Infinite lacks impulse in several aspects. There is a lack of extra characters, although those who accept its 2vs2 fights and its arcade gameplay will enjoy a game made for fans.

The epic clash between two storied universes returns with Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, the next era of the action-fighting game series. Marvel and Capcom universes collide like never before as iconic characters team up for action-packed player-versus-player combat.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite looks ugly, feels kind of cheap at times, and suffers from a disappointing initial roster—but it’s also a frenetically fun fighting game that got almost all of the things it needed to get right right. With (hopefully) a bit more polish and DLC helping to flesh out its character choices, this is set to become a worthy—if still flawed—new chapter in Capcom’s beloved fighting franchise.

I’m going to be playing Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite quite a bit over the next few years, but that doesn’t change the fact that its feature set is less impressive than every other AAA fighter on the market.

Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite has some good things like the return of the 2Vs2 fights and a very strong gameplay, but also some bad things like the story mode which feels like it's been added at the last moment to avoid what happened with Street Fighter V.

It’s hard to deny how much of a blemish Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite’s visuals are, but it would still be a mistake to skip this entry for that reason alone. The fast tagging system and the Infinity Stones change up the series’ standard mechanics and open up so many options for creative play, no matter your skill level. Infinite is expressive, exciting and fun to play, but the visuals inspire more eyerolls than the hype this series deserves.

The real accomplishment of Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite is that it’s able to make a schmo like me feel as if I’m pulling off the same jaw-dropping feats of combo ingenuity as those experts.

The game play is fresh and interesting. The graphics look tip top. Infinity stones are dynamic additions. Glad Capcom listened to the fans-significant improvements to Chun Li's face. She no longer looks like Chuckie's bride. This is the kind of game that you can just kick back and relax and play with your friends for hours. The game is appropriate for all levels from a causal player to a pro player. Full Review »

It’s a very goodI’am always open for a new fighting game, so this game too. Marvel vs. Capcom is returning with 4th entries in the franchise. It’s a very good thing for those particularly Marvel vs. series fans but in overall, game has lack of some serious feature.

Well, since i’am not “huge” fan of this franchise, i won’t be too harsh against the game itself but it’s clear this game was one of the most anticipated IPs of Capcom and in the end, it’s failed for the launch by cannot matching with the fan expectations.

Our game has 7 game modes. They are: Story mode, Arcade, VS. mode, Training, Mission, Collection and Online.

One of the new things of the game, no doubt, “Story Mode”, where you track the main scenario along with playable characters and NPCs. Some obscure characters are also made their cameo in some cut-scenes. This is the first time a Marvel vs Capcom game that featuring a story mode separately. Another new thing is main “tag” system. The game using no longer 3 vs 3 formula yet they bring 2 vs 2 like old ones.

Gameplay is highly re-designed via “stones” which bring new assets to the gameplay such as: Power, Time, Space, Reality, Mind and Soul. Each stone is giving your team a special ability for certain period. The gameplay also introducing “Active Switch” and “Counter Switch” which gives you the opportunity to control your tag-partners in right time. There is also “Infinity Surge” which allow you to use Level 3 Super Combos by pressing two buttons.

And the roster...this is the major failure point of the game. MvC:I has 15 characters per side which make 30 in total included: Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk (yes, no X-men this time..), Ryu, Chun Li, Mayor Haggar, Mega-man.. all signature characters have been added to roster BUT, whole roster is not so new comparing to UMvC3. Newcomers “ that should be already in the cast” are already confirmed as “upcoming DLC”. Marvel side is completely copy-paste of previous game. 30 characters might be enough for a 2 vs 2 game but the roster is not satisfying at all..they could add more new faces.

Graphics are great, not the best but great. At least better than previous installment. Characters are fully 3D now. Whole screen is crisp, colorful and delivering well the signature atmosphere of Capcom’s fighting game genre. But the game menus, art direction, roster screen, extras are quite insufficient and pretty bad. Cut-scenes are another big thing of the game, story related stuff and animations are brilliant. As for stages, i can clearly say they are awesome and one of the best points of the game. Better then many fighting games that currently out.

Can’t say anything good about in-game tunes which i found non-catchy yet dialogues and voice acting are ok. Very well done.

This game is developed in order to please both fractions as usual: competitive (pro) and standard (casual) fanbase. It’s too early to saying anything about competitive part albeit the game has some “easy mode” downgrades yet still has some deep mechanics to be mined by players. But it’s clear the other part not pleased everyone, especially those who playing the game for the cast and old-fashion combo show. The game is pretty in-completed right now and it doesn’t offer something so special for both online and offline modes.

But then again, this is a fighting game on it’s own basis and if you’re fan of the genre and characters, you can buy and try it alone, or with friends.

    Play on!..

Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite helps to bring the series to the Next Generation of Consoles by building a cast of the most iconic Marvel heroesMarvel vs. Capcom Infinite helps to bring the series to the Next Generation of Consoles by building a cast of the most iconic Marvel heroes from the Avengers & Guardians of the Galaxy as well some Capcom's best characters from each of it's greatest IPs. The New Infinity Stone Mechanic is a nice edition to the Gameplay as well, allowing victory to feel all the more satisfying. While there are not enough new characters to balance out with the over abundance of returning characters, the downgrade from three to two characters per team is slightly upsetting, the lack of X-Men characters is certainly upsetting for fans of mutant team, and the Story was embarrassingly in serious need of Marvel's writing expertise. I don't think the Lack of X-Men characters is a huge loss considering their sparse relationship with Thanos and the Infinity Stones. Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite is great return to form for the series that will satisfy Marvel Superhero fans and Die-Hard fans of Capcom greatest franchises everywhere. Full Review »
