    Ridiculous that every year is nothing much more than a roster update. The only work they put into this game was rosters and a few new jerseys and stadiums. It's clear they want you to pay to play MUT and don't give a damn about anything else.

    As a fan of MUT, the game meets my needs. Game play feels more fluid. Better GUI this year. Lots of bugs to patch in this early iteration.

    How do you possibly describe the gross incompetence of the makers of this game? How do you describe this game at all? The only thing that comes to mind is two words “stupendously atrocious” I am actually impressed at how they continue to put out the same copy and pasted garbage every year. Ultimate team is a mess. If you want to get a good team you have to play hundreds of hours 25 gamesHow do you possibly describe the gross incompetence of the makers of this game? How do you describe this game at all? Of course you can choose to spend money on “packs” that you will spend $100 and maybe just maybe you will be lucky enough to get 1 good player by selling all the garbage players you get in the pack or hell you might get lucky and “pull” a good player! What what a rush! You just paid $100 for a virtual card! You can spend a grand on this game right now and in 2 months all the players you buy will be devalued and obsolete. Just a poor business model imo. I understand some of you will say hey “don’t play it if you don’t like it” he’ll I most definitely won’t be playing this garbage heap any longer. Every year. Same thing. It doesn’t end there though. The yard is kind of fun for an arcade game mode but the out this crap in and don’t fix any of the issues people have been bringing to their attention for years. The Ai system is horrific, players go through each other, “Face of the franchise” is the worst damn story mode you will ever play in any game with the most bizarre story line. Who the hell writes this stuff? Franchise mode is the same garbage as well. They refuse to do anything fresh like something similar to my park in 2k... It is the same copy and pasted game with an few little cosmetic add ons. The madden dev team should be ashamed. They even tell people “you guys don’t know what your talking about it’s not that easy” in regards to fixing the game. Really? You are professionals not children. This is your job. Why is it that other developers can put out amazing games while ea sports continues to put out trash and never take the responsibility to fix it? rant… Expand

    Changed the file types of the game and know its way harder to mod on PC. Madden 13 is way better and its sad cause M21 is almost the exact same as M20

    I've gotten every Madden game since Madden 2001. The point this game has reached is embarrassing. Face of the Franchise had the most asinine story mode I've ever played through. Gameplay is wonky and full of glitches. Franchise has been the same exact mode for years, I could go plug in my PS2 and throw in Madden 05 and have a more fulfilling franchise mode then I can have in 2021.     It's the same exact game that we've played for 10 years. Glitches everywhere, non-simulation gameplay, animation based, doesn't contain features from older games, franchise is copy-pasted. They live for MUT which is a trash gambling experience with the most atrocious football gameplay I've ever experienced.

    This is a horrible game it is a mess. Ea is lazy to fix bugs. This game is atrocious. Same game as Madden 20, which was a bad game. Franchise mode has been the same for years. An atrocious football simulation game. EA has greatly expanded the number of game modes in Madden over the past couple of years at the detriment to the depth and immersion of all modes in the game.

    When Madden tries to go a step forward it legitimately goes a 100 steps back. Gameplay was a tad smoother until you come across all the glitches.     Face of the Franchise Mode includes additions in story and depth but there has been more bugs because of it. You can only get drafted by the Bears (unless you cheat and manually pick your team) and your play card displays the wrong archetype you chose and the wrong college you picked to attend. There are new storylines but it is not realistic at all. The mode is raw but not polished.

    The new mode, "The Yard," is a good addition to the otherwise bare game and it does offer some fun gameplay but unfortunately, the mode does have some gameplay bugs. The grass field can disappear at times and the ball can glitch out. One can wonder if the mode was only added to combat 2K's new arcade game coming out next year.

    Franchise mode is an exact replica from last year with no changes except for UI and a recolor.

    Overall, the game like every other madden in the last 10 years has very minor improvements and is nothing different from the rest. The Yard and Face of the Franchise are fun gamemodes but they are not polished and they suffer from bugs all over the place. I do not recommend a buy unless it is on sale.

    I signed up for an account here just to review how trash this edition of Madden and every edition of Madden since 2k8 have been (considering they're all the same game). The coders at EA are trash, and are using a gaming engine (frostbite) that wasn't even written with sports in mind. Its trash, and you're trash if you think otherwise.

Among other things, chew clock only works HALF of the time, the college storyline decisions don’t matter in the end, they still refuse to update franchise mode, and the QB still fumbles like crazy. Why fix the game when people spend thousands of dollars on MUT day one right? The yard makes it debut, in this new game mode it is more arcady than the actual game itself. While this mode is fun for a hour it gets stale quick. With really no reason to play or level up what is the point? Am I suppose to progress my guy to unlock the terrible uniform options or unlock mouth guards that aren’t even in franchise mode? The mode can be fun with friends but after a hour you and your friends will agree to play something else, perhaps a better game! Superstar KO Maddens popular mode from last year returns. You know the one where you can play as Snoop Dogg, Migos and DJ Khaled. Everybody wanted this last year(sarcasm) and now it returns untouched as its the same teams, playbooks as last year. Presentation once again is sub par. As you will see EA’s logo plastered all over while listening to the same boring and monotone commentators from the last 4 Madden installments. If you’re expecting a better halftime and post game show I’m afraid you’re gonna be disappointed. Nothing about this game is good. I played the 10 hour demo on EA Access to give it a shot as I am a huge football fan and football video game fan. Unfortunately this is the worst installment yet with little to no updates. EA consistently has put out terrible football games and sports games in general the last 5 years. EA’s greed for money has killed any fun that can be had in Madden. As long as MUT players keep spending thousands on packs EA will unfortunately never come out with a new product. 15 years ago as a little kid I loved Madden. We all did, we were excited to see what the game would look like in the future. But it has gotten worse gameplay and game mode wise. We need another simulation football game on the market to compete with EA. NBA2k has buried the EA NBA Live franchise TWICE. It would appear on my doorstep every morning every time I threw it out. I was convinced it was cursed by a demon. I called a priest but he said it was just a coincidence. But the game kept appearing on my door step. I knew the game was cursed. So I broke out the Chucky doll and thought he could throw out the game. Fight demon with demon. But it turned out he just wanted to kill me so now He locked me in my own basement. He said we are going to have lots of fun so he probably is gonna challenge me in 2k21. I’m better at that game than this game. UPDATE: I beat him and he let me go. I gave him my phone number and he told me he would call me if He needed me. I just made a new friend today.… Expand

    This game is simply insulting. Per usual EA style, it's just a roster update with a few gimmicky additions. While the yard may have some potential, it's just EA's pathetic attempt to compete with 2k's upcoming game. The gameplay is still sluggish and overridden by the same animations.     Broken mechanics, glitches from games years ago still exist. Nothing has been done in years to change anything in these games except in modes full of monetization, and even those don't work properly.

    I just really didn’t like this Madden. I have been playing Madden for years now and for the last 2 years I have played ultimate team. This year I was excited for this madden then I was disappointed with how terrible the lag was and just the game in general.

There are so many spelling errors, and glitches, and there is no attention to detail. They are just focused on ultimate team, because they love microtransactions. I'm fine withI haven't played this game, but I played madden 20, so it's basically the same thing.     THIS GAME IS TRASH, FRANCHISE MODE GETS NO LOVE. The same bugs are still in the game, like wth. I don't really care about The Yard, its just EA poor attempt at myPark, I also don't really care about ultimate team. The career mode is an upgrade from last madden game, but its still not good.
    Overall, the game is a big disappointment.

    Same game since like Madden 17. Clearly they only care about Ultimate Team (which isn’t that good, it’s a micro-transaction nightmare). Franchise mode hasn’t improved in forever. Play NBA 2K MyLeague once and try to incorporate some of the things they do there, the blueprint exists, stop sucking at your job.

    Madden NFL 21 is another blatant recycling of last year’s edition of the „simulation“ of the American football. Sadly, most of the modes remained the same. Gameplay received a few minor tweaks, and in the end it still persists as a cash grab not worth anybody’s time.
