    The game has been a copy and paste. I’m franchise mode nothing changed but the color scheme. They didn’t even change when you won the Super Bowl in franchise and it still had madden 20. Players ratings are inaccurate. They only change game modes that make them money but some people buy to play franchise simulation football. YOU SHOULD NOT BUY THIS UNFINISHED PRODUCT

    This game is terrible. It’s essentially Madden 20 2.0. No changes to franchise mode. Madden is money hungry by adding the yard and charging people for helmets and gear.

    I truly hope after years of EA’s copy and paste $60 roster update of a “football game” that we are now much closer to the reality that the nfl will finally drop them and end the monopoly ea has had over the football video game genre. Do not buy this game. Go buy yourself a nice pair of shoes or grocery shopping.

    Broken beyond belief with glitches and no updates to franchise mode, which is kind of important for the only licensed simulation NFL game. All the development went into arcadey modes that are very clearly not simulation modes and are littered with micro transactions, some of which make the modes pay-to-win. Face of the franchise story is boring. Decisions don’t really matter as the same things happen anyways. The only thing you have actual control over is whether to play qb/rb/wr. The college games I had Devonta Freeman as my rb? ISame bugs as last year. Actual gameplay improved just a tad from last years game in my opinion but that’s not saying much.     This game is literally a roster update. The glitches are still here. The ignorance of big modes that make Madden a "simulation" game like Franchise Mode. The animations are bad. They don't care about any type of level of detail to the point where I think they don't even care about this game anymore and just try and make as much money off microtransactions.

    This game gets sloppier and sloppier every year. Franchise mode has been watered down, it used to have so much more. Even relocating franchises, something supposed to be exciting and new, is full of the same old stadiums you can build, a limited list of team names to start. Remember Madden 11/12 when you could be creative with moving a team in franchise mode?

    I haven't played a Madden since 18 and its the SAME game! I bought it because Face of the Franchise seemed like a fun game mode. Plus they have Nebraska as one of the very few schools that you can choose from. However, its just awful no other words to describe it. I don't buy Madden every single year because i know that from year to year they are generally the same but this is the first iI haven't played a Madden since 18 and its the SAME game!     Games trash. Player movement feels weird, open field tackling still doesn’t work, the user pass rush system doesn’t really work and qbs can’t run like they used to.

All the great new equipment in the yard.... cannot be used in franchise which has ZERO changes from last year. I did a quick google to see that nothing has changed about the game. So I now own madden 21 and got it for free!!! Still too expensive in my opinion. I want my money back. lol… Expand

EA in reality only had to do very little to make fans happy here, a few visual improvements here and there, fix what's broken with last years game, and voila an instant $60 (at least - other special versions go for more) from me and many others.     In two words, Madden 21 is: slow and unpolished.

    From when you first encounter the menus to the graphics in the MUT "items" to the on field graphics to the kick meter... everything just has a feeling of unfinished. EA had a low bar given how popular this game is and what we've accepted every year as an "update" to the franchise. Sadly, they didn't even try to aim for it, let alone anywhere near it. If madden is a must have for you, you'll buy it anyway, but if your one of those individuals who can live without it, this is a must pass.    … Expand

    I've had every madden since 95 and I played 1 game on this and turned it off, same **** year after year, the graphics in face of the franchise look like ps2 graphics and the game play is just pure ****.
    Get rid of EA sports.

    Same thing every year - will not be buying for the 4th strait year. I play the demo and am unimpressed. I go into the demo with high hopes just to play the same game it has been for years. Sad too as I’m a huge gamer and even bigger football fan.

    I loved playing madden 17 back in 2016, that is also the last year they really changed anything. Engine is bad, graphics are bad, commentary is re used and they haven’t even updated some basic things like calling players rookies who are 2nd year players.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. #FixMaddenFranchise meant absolutely nothing to EA and for years they've lied and promised that Franchise Mode would be their main focus. Every year we here "step in the right direction" and every year like clever politicians they continue to make excuses and lie about limitations in the game. We have mouth pieces and the game in Yard, but wait EA, did you not state this was impossible. They add all types of custom jerseys in this mode, but we haven't been able to create actually custom jerseys in the game for years. The Pro Ball was brought back last year after they lied about it being impossible to add in the game. How does a game on a game system two generations older (with less power mind you) have more features than current gen games. This is why NBA Live died. 2K may have their own version of MUT, but they also offer a Franchise Mode and GM Mode that is leaps and bounds ahead of what EA has to offer and it's free. Madden 21 is has a bargain bin version of a MyCareer, that really is downgraded version of Long Shot with a created player. You aren't the story, you're a prisoner of it. MUT is not a game mode I really care for unless I'm bored and I've never paid a dime to build a team. Superstar KO is the same and the only thing that has been added to the game is, cash grab, the Yard. EA Sport Madden is the ultimate con. After #NFLdropEA trended yesterday they being offer codes to the game. They owe the fans a free game since most of their money is going to come from MUT and the Yard anyway. EA continues to spit in the faces of its customers and lack accountability for all the lies the have told. My honest is advice is to keep playing Madden 20 or play far superior games like NFL 2K5, Madden 07/08, and for the Yard experience, play NFL Street. I can't tell you what to do with your money but, I will say, I'm definitely not spending my hard on cash on this scam.… Expand

    Literally the same game since 2015. Gameplay is scripted and boring. Background characters like the crowd and the props in the yard have textures from 2008. The yard was fun for literally 1 game then it got old very quick. Franchise mode is super shallow and gets boring after 1 season. NFL needs to drop EA from making their games. Just a huge cashgrab.

    Pretty simple. It's terrible you don't need to play this. Madden 20' is no different just the rosters which can be changed yourself it's virtually the same game with a new game mode. It's pretty clear these games have become nothing more than cash grabs. I'll be playing ESPN NFL 2k5 until EA cleans this bs up.

    This is a perfect example of what a monopoly does to the quality of a service/product. Focus is on micro transactions and “improved” gameplay, which is non apparent. I grew up a Ultimate Team lover, starting from scratch and building the best team imaginable was a goal of mine from year to year. Of course this goal was never reached because of the extremely high player costs and being a "pay to win" game, on which I spent no money. Franchise mode is literally the exact same it has been for years no real new update.Even their cash cow MUT is pretty much the same. It's disappointing to say the least.... Shoundn't be $60....

    Worst Madden I’ve ever played. Frame rate constantly drops, story mode is lazy and boring, franchise mode sucks, X-factors make players overpowered, tackle animations are awful, and plays feel like you have no control over them sometimes.

    Extremely laggy. The glitches are unreal. Franchise mode allows you to cut players who are the same person. For example I had the option to cut any number of Devin Singletarys, all of varying ability and wage. I beat the Chiefs, go back to the franchise screen and apparently it was scored as a loss. Easily one of the laziest efforts EA has provided. Really regret spending the money on it

    There are still Madden NFL 20 banners in this game and contains a extreme amount of glitches! Almost unplayable. Also players are not even unique to who they are. There are barely any tattoos in the games and players don't limp when hurt. Wasted money. How is there positive critic reviews? Not deserving of there titles!

    For Years EA developers have become lazy and have not put work into this game. The truth finally comes out as glitches, bugs and more have destroyed this game making it nearly unplayable. After just a few days I’ve become so frustrated that I refuse to play the game until it’s been fixed.

    The gameplay has so many bugs just as it did last year. You still cannot throw a fade route, Franchise mode is LITERALLY the same EXACT thing as last year. I played the game at a friend's house and I could not get over how bad it is, its worse than last year. Don't buy the game, The NFL should drop EA sports

    Madden NFL 21 is another blatant recycling of last year’s edition of the „simulation“ of the American football. Sadly, most of the modes remained the same. Gameplay received a few minor tweaks, and in the end it still persists as a cash grab not worth anybody’s time.
