    Giving the game a 10 to counter all the stupid people giving the game anything less than a 7. This game is phenomenal. I’m genuinely extremely impressed with how well this games plays and looks on the BASE PS4. If you liked the first, you will like Forbidden West.

    Ну хоть кто -то сможет сделать игру с гемплеем The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild и хорошей графикой?    То же самое, что и Horizon Zero Dawn, только картинка красивее. Если предыдущая часть зашла, то и это пойдет. Меня не зашла первая, не зашла и эта часть.

    Sony thus its game developers have been forcing the L1/R1 quick action buttons to be used for no-action related functions such as bringing up HUD, throw this or that and so on.     The controller (and its buttons specifically) were designed as L1/R1 to be used by the pointing fingers and L2/R2 for the middle finger (just as the fingers order on hands): but Sony wants players to struggle with playing the game contrary to what is natural: in real life nobody fires a weapon with the middle finger. It’s not only annoying: when the in game on screen instruction buttons are opposite to the one changed by button alignments thus become very confusing too.

    The Game is mediocre, quite boring, not a lot new, more like just a more fancy expansion.

    These games are not made for the players’ enjoyment anymore, but to force their limiting ideas onto the players.    … Expand

    Boring production, the first part is better. It may look good graphically, but the graphics are not everything, the plot is stretched like a thong and repetitive.

    The game is awesome! It's the first game I bought on release day and I did not regret it! The graphics are improvised, vegetations are far better than Zero Dawn, the map is bigger than Zero Dawn (excluding Frozen Wilds), the combat is quite fun (still requires more improvement), and overall a 9/10 game during this review. I purposely added 1 more points to combat the review bombingThe game is awesome! It's the first game I bought on release day and I did not regret it!     Now, why a 9/10 you may ask? Simple. Bugs. I've not encountered as many bugs on other games before. The last time I noclipped out of a map is on Lifeafter (Mobile) and Horizon is the most recent as of typing this review. Though the game may be a little buggy (it's not that serious for me really), I believe Guerilla is really committed to put an end to it and fix every bugs for this game in the future. Other players experienced a bug where the ruins in "Las Vegas" did not load for some time. Frankly, I did not experience the same thing even on a PS4 Slim. The worst one I got so far is the noclipping I mentioned earlier.

    This paragraph is about the review bombing. Do NOT believe them. Whatever they may say, it is most likely just to alter everyone's mind to not appreciate this beautifully crafted masterpiece. Most of them are probably just Microsoft/Xbox fanboys just trying to ruin everyone's fun. If the same review bombing happened a day after GoW Ragnarok releases, it proves my point is correct.

    Do I suggest buying this game? Yes. Very. Is the bug really that bad? Personally, no. Do I think Guerilla cares to fix the bugs? Yes. CDPR has shown their effort, why Guerilla wouldn't? Is the game an improvement from it's predecessor? Yes. Not a big improvement but still an improvement. That's all from me. Good hunting everyone!    … Expand

    More of the greatness of the first game which i really enjoyed. I’m playing on PS4 Pro and have experienced zero bugs so far. I’m not sure why everyone is complaining but maybe there are bugs further in the game. One area where there still could be some improvement is the UI of the menus for the workbench and other fullscreen UI. Even on ps4 the graphics are pretty damn good. Love the changes made with the inventory and (spoiler alert) storage and personal camp sites across the map. You can collect as much as you. And any extra stuff will automatically be sent to your stash.. I could spend months exploring the. *Nit picking:: is even on story mode upgrading weapons is a bit harder and can be a bit inconvenient. Love the free fast travel from camp and being able to fast travel from anywhere. I'll leave it at that, so I don't spoil it too much.… Expand

    Saw this game was getting review bombed and had to post my honest review. It’s the best game I’ve ever played and I’m on a PS4 Pro. I’m only at about 40% completed at last check. The game crashed once but that’s because I rush through loading zones and push all the high computational load buttons at once, hehe.     I had high expectations for this game and it has exceeded them so far. That’s hard to do, especially at game release.

    If you’re new to Horizon definitely play Zero Dawn first. (I’ve played through that one at least five times and have the platinum trophy.)

    Amazing game. It improves on nearly every aspect of zero dawn, from melee combat to the traversal around the world. Machines are bolder than ever with a greater focus on strategy to take them down. Theres also a big improvement regarding NPC interactions, its much more cinematic.
    The negatives i found are the loading times on menus due to the ps4 hardware

    I play this game on the Ps4 Slim console and I can say that it is an extraordinary game, the sound is perfect, the new implementations of this game is perfect, I hope to get the game of the year.

You don't have to listen to all the dialogue if you dont want to, most of it is behind dialogue choices you can choose, and you can skip that by selecting the choice with the quest marker next to it. I have a base PS4 thats 8 years old, and I've run into only 2 minor graphical glitches abt 20 hrs in, which is amazing compared to many other AAA games where the glitches are game breaking and crash your system. I really like the character designs as well. They aren't ugly at all. They just look like real people. Not every character has to be a model. I'll admit the overall main story hasn't been as interesting as the first game, so I didn't give it a 10. But I am thoroughly enjoying my time in this game and I have no real complaints about it.… Expand

    As for the side-quests, the trolls might say that they are boring, but they are not. The ones that I found are connected to each other, either by the main story itself or with past side-quests. Unlike the first game where they were bland and not connected with each other, these are so much better and I enjoy them. They have a great story behind each one. Although, with some of the stories, I do feel as if they trying to put some political factors with the woke culture, but with how the gameplay is, I can let it go.

    Now, what makes this game better isn't much of the story, but it does help, but the new tools that they give you over the gameplay. As they'll help you get around easier but also helps you get into areas that you couldn't get to earlier.

    The only problem I have is the climbing, as it won't allow you to climb everywhere as you would like. I understand that there are some areas that if you're not high enough level, you would have big problems or going there before the main story isn't wise to do so, so preventing people from going to these areas is understandable. But that's not true for most areas, it's like they want you to get where you're going by the longest route possible.

    So, all in all, I give the game a 9/10...    … Expand

    Great game, just like the ps5 version. I havdnt noticed a single bug in my many hours if playing, the tutorial can be meh but the gameplay and combat are amazing. Good voice acting, shows subtle differences, great sequel to the first game.

    I thought a game following up something as great as HZD couldn’t live up to the expectations, but this game is just as great as the first, and more. Beautiful new locations, new mechanics that make traversal enjoyable, awesome new machines to fight, and fun new weapons and skills to fight them with. And an in-game board game to learn and master, to boot.
    I was expecting this game to suffer    I thought a game following up something as great as HZD couldn’t live up to the expectations, but this game is just as great as the first, and more. Beautiful new locations, new mechanics that make traversal enjoyable, awesome new machines to fight, and fun new weapons and skills to fight them with. And an in-game board game to learn and master, to boot.
    I was expecting this game to suffer a bit graphically on PS4, but it looks incredible, and has a good frame rate. If you want an engaging story and enjoy a good challenge killing monstrous machines, I recommend this game, and the first.

    There are a few minor bugs I’ve noticed here and there, but nothing game breaking, and I’m sure they’ll be fixed soon enough.

    And to all the people review-bombing this game because of “politics” and whatever else, get a life.    … Expand

    Es increíble. NO se como puede la PS4 correr el juego tan bien.
    Son unos de los mejores gráficos que he visto en PS4.
    El juego va muy bien a 30 FPS y estables como una Roca y No decaen cuando estas en combate
    Los movimientos en el agua son fluidos y de total libertad.
    Ciertamente tiene un poco de poping muy puntuales; pero NO afectan en nada la jugabilidad y los gráficos.

For all of you **** neckbeards out there who are upset by Aloy's facial hair, it just goes to show you've never seen a human woman up close. It's truly incredible how quickly you were willing to tell the ENTIRE internet that you had no idea all mammals are covered in fine hairs all over their bodies. Truly andI am blown away by this game. I love the graphics and the attention to detail, and I've never seen such lifelike eyes. The game is so fun to play and explore that I often find myself just exploring off-mission.     First let me say that I have the second release PS4 but now a days I am playing on PC. I loved the first game for me it was better then God of War b/c's of they world building worked better in Zero Dawn for "ME". This one it maybe obviously that it was not meant to be on the PS4 but I still got.     Horizon Forbidden West is a mediocre game with a lot of bugs. Maybe year or two it is bug free and not now. You can levitated, drop off the map, run against invisible wall, etc. Those are only couple bugs what game has to offer. Horizon Forbidden West is a pale shadow from its predecessor Horizon Zero Dawn.

    The most unique world design in ages continues in this second installment. Prettier, with old friends popping up as your rush onward to save the world. Minor issues have been a couple graphics stuttering but nothing a save and restart didn't fix.

    Plays great on the Ps4 Slim, not as good as Ps5 but god damn I'm impressed with how well it works on Ps4.

    This is basically the same thing as the first game, repetitive combat, low quality side quests, underwater combat was a lie, characters with bad design, armor with outdated artistic concept, characters with bad narrative. This game is just a bad copy of Monster Hunter.

    This is the game that proves the PS4 is still a very viable console with a lot of steam left in it. Though there are a few texture pop-ins and transition stutters here and there, there is no denying that Horizon Forbidden West on the PS4 is still a visually stunning experience with an amazing soundtrack and gameplay to match.

    Horizon Zero Dawn was one of those remarkable games in a league of their own that you probably end up remembering for the rest of your life (I'll let you know in a few decades). As a massive fan, I went into the second one with very high expectations, fully knowing that doing so often leads to disappointment with sequels. Well, I was wrong. What made Zero Dawn great, Forbidden West hasHorizon Zero Dawn was one of those remarkable games in a league of their own that you probably end up remembering for the rest of your life (I'll let you know in a few decades). As a massive fan, I went into the second one with very high expectations, fully knowing that doing so often leads to disappointment with sequels. Well, I was wrong. What made Zero Dawn great, Forbidden West has improved upon in ways I did not think were possible.

    Compelling narrative, astounding voice acting even for secondary side quest characters (more on those in a sec), facial and body animations to go with it, jaw-dropping environments, and a really fun gameplay have already made this an automatic GOTY for me. Large open worlds are nothing new, but Guerilla Games have managed to do something that is very difficult to put into words, and saying that "it feels alive" is very reductive. This isn't an Assassin's Creed game (no shade, I love AC), where you will travel across the Mediterranean to kill a guy and will often do so by dodging a long string of fetch quests that do very little to entertain or progress the plot. In Forbidden West you will traverse the world, watching biomes transition around you; you will occasionally run into groups of humans fighting machines and it will be up to you whether to help them or not. Sometimes this will turn into a side quest; other times you will run into those same people (I really struggle to call them NPCs, that's how alive they feel) at a later point in one of the many, bustling settlements that dot the map. But you never feel like you're taking a distracting detour from your main mission while engaging with these characters. Every subplot, every cutscene and conversation (seriously, watching characters' animations during dialogues never gets old), every piece of lore you find, helps build an excruciatingly detailed, living and breathing world that I can never imagine getting boring. All I can say at this point is that I hope we get years' worth of DLC.

    Obligatory performance bit: I'm running it on a PS4 Pro and it's near-flawless. There's occasional texture-popping and I've noticed a couple of bugs, but other than that it is an exemplary feat of optimisation. Hats off to GG!    … Expand

Квесты стали "объемнее" и более навороченными. Тормозов, лагов пока не ловил. В любой "мясорубке" управление очень отзывчевое.

Единственный момент что мне не понравился, это почему то именно в инвентаре плойка начинает идти на взлет, при этом в соседних вкладках как и в самой игре этого нет.    … Expand

Awesome graphics, story, advanced gameplay - this game gives everything you've been waiting for, If you were pleased with Zero Dawn. The music seems to be nice but its kind of hanging useless in the air most of the time. I like the gyro aiming although its not in the same leaque as in BOTW or Splatoon. It’s also worth mentioning that Zero Dawn’s story arc really toes the line between fiction & reality to the point that the story is almost believable, whereas Forbidden West takes a much deeper dive into the Sci-Fi realm. That’s not to say that it isn’t a great experience, but the devs weren’t quite able to recapture the magic you felt while playing the first game as you pieced together the greater meaning of Aloy’s existence and how it connects to the mystery of the robots and why all life on earth was nearly eradicated. The stakes couldn’t have been higher as we slowly learned that humanity’s existence was threatened for a second time, and it really made you feel for this incredible character and how far she was willing to go to prevent it from happening (again). Forbidden West is a fantastic continuation of that story as we venture deeper into the series of events that led up to the impending apocalypse of Zero Dawn. The stakes don’t feel quite as high this time around, but they more than make up for it with improvements in combat, world building, & engaging side content. Forbidden West is a hell of an adventure and one of the most stunning, awe-inspiring games I’ve played in years. I ran into very few bugs playing on a standard PS4, and although it doesn’t compare to the visuals of the PS5, it is still a high quality game that I strongly recommend.… Expand

    I play on the PS4 pro and have yet to encounter any game breaking bugs other people are posting about. This game does not have fetch quests and it's fully fleshed out. If you liked the original you'll like this one

    Cons:
    - COMBAT. Combat is just awful in this game. It's not satisfying, just annoying. You don't feel the character skill progress because if any type of opponent was a challenge at the beginning of the game, he will remain a challenge until the end. The opponents still have a huge advantage over Aloy. It's very easy to get surrounded and then the Machines just throw you over the rocks and you can't do anything - running or dodging won't help you, because you are constantly shooting at you, often stunning Aloy. The only way is to spam the button to use medicinal plants. Second thing: aiming. The fact that a game designed with a pad in mind requires precise aiming and does not have any aim assist system is just one big mistake. I play on the console, but the gamepad will never replace the precision of a mouse. And the game requires aiming precision on the level of using the mouse. Summary: Almost every fight is frustrating and significantly lowers the overall gameplay experience.    … Expand

    There’s nothing wrong with learning from your competitors, but what’s the point of copying stuff that’s mocked even by Ubisoft fans? Hopefully, next time Guerrilla will focus more on Horizon’s own strengths: unique world and mechosaurs that are so fun to take apart. [Issue#259, p.72]
