    My GOTY of 2020. I love almost everything about this game.
    Story is very good. Gameplay and combat mechanics are phenomenal. I had started on hard difficulty setting, didn't like it and went down to normal, but after some time I decided to try out Lethal setting - the best thing to do when playing this game! It's designed with great idea behind it - enemies deal more damage, but so does    My GOTY of 2020. I love almost everything about this game.
    Story is very good. Gameplay and combat mechanics are phenomenal. I had started on hard difficulty setting, didn't like it and went down to normal, but after some time I decided to try out Lethal setting - the best thing to do when playing this game! It's designed with great idea behind it - enemies deal more damage, but so does Jin. On this difficulty all fights make you feel like a real badass samurai. One parry, three quick strikes and most of your enemies are on the ground, and the rest is frightened, you can see this brief moment of hesitation in your enemies and this feels electrifying (I hardly ever used stealth). I cannot expres how much I love fighting in this game, but one more thing that I admire as much as fighting system is the cinematic roots of the game.
    All of Tsushima looks amazing, and the fact that the wind guides player and interface is minimalistic makes you look around and just enjoy the landscapes and landmarks. One of the most beautiful games I've ever play, because the artistic vision behind this title is so clear and consistent. When I was playing this game I became sure that great artstyle is so much better than ultra-realistic presentation - very reminiscent of Dishonored, which is one of my favorite games ever because it had so much thought behind every audiovisual aspect of the game. (Also all of the players remember how great was the photo mode, easily the best I have seen in video game)
    And when it came to audio, the pathetic compositions are exactly what this game needed!
    Overall: The Ghost of Tsushima is great, one of my favorite games of all time, make yourself a favor and play it if you haven't already done it!    … Expand

    Side missions become a bit repetitive at some point, and lip syncing isn't good. Great game otherwise. Especially the combat mechanics are better than any other game.

    (9/10) - Such a beautiful game. The setting couldn't be better and the story evokes emotions out of the player. Probably the most fun combat system I've ever used.

    One word: masterpiece. The best thing for me is the world design. Even though the map is pretty big everything is absolutely beautiful. The combat, oh man the combat, it´s so satisfying. The story gets only better within the progress of the game. There are many dramatically made plot twists and I really fell into the story of the game quickly.

    Great story, Amazing visuals and all around really fun combat. There is one BIG problem and that is the camera is very mean and when I do the hot springs as Jin I only get to see his butt and can't turn the camera to see his weeny.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. assassins creed japan is a pretty good game. I did not expect the story to be this good when i played it. Customisation is virtually endless as you can look freaking dope in this game. The graphics are a treat to see and it baffles me that i was playing on a ps4 slim given how amazing the graphics were. With that said the game did not cheap out on the gameplay and its really good. However the sidequests can feel very tiring to do sometimes and the endless horse rides are abit strange. I dont like how some character models are presented but hey, still a pretty solid game with little bugs. Good experience overall with an engaging story.… Expand

    An amazing underrated game. The visuals are amazing, the art directions of this game has to be one of the best so far. The combat feels amazing and the world is solid. It's true that it is not a revolutionary open world but with a great addition such as the wind mechanic.

    I would recommend this game to everyone that has a PS4.

    I love this game.Combat system is amazing,open world-BRILLIANT,one of the best one worlds.Ending is also very good.1v1 duels are very well made,progress system also.Jin is very well written character and oh boy,Kenji is THE BEST.
    Beautiful music.Great game,worth to play.

    Pese a que la ambientación y cultura japonesa no sea mi favorita, este juego ha superado muchísimas de mis expectativas. Tiene puntos malos y buenos, aunque las cosas buenas eclipsan casi por completo las malas, que más que malas sean cosas por pulir. Tiene un componente RPG de personalización y orientación de personaje muy buena y notable, la historia me parece de lo mejor que he visto, personajes escritos a la perfección, muy entretenido con un mundo muy vivo y con muchas actividades que hacer… Hace meses lo empecé hasta dos veces y ninguna me llamó, pero esta vez iba con más ganas porque venía de jugar God of War: Ragnarök y Dark Souls III, juegos cuyos sistemas de combates comparten características, pero Ghost of Tsushima innova bastante en cuanto al combate alternando mientras peleas de postura, armas arrojadizas y de fantasma con unos controles super intuitivos y claros. Este sistema de combate da margen de mejora al jugador haciéndo sentir al mismo que está mejorando a medida que avanza. La banda sonora es buenísima aunque llega un punto en el que se hace algo repetitiva (mientras no estás en una misión, donde la música es única), y cuando se suma a la atmósfera inmersiva gracias a una cantidad justa de HUD hace que sea probablemente uno de los juegos que más absorben en su mundo. Quizás algo de lo que abusa es de poner una cantidad excesiva de marcadores en el mapa, pero el sistema de exploración es simplemente superior. Tiene sus cosas malas y buenas, pero desde luego es un juego que sobresale por sí mismo.… Expand

    How have indie US development team, suckerpunch, done it? My hype was record-level high, and they still perfectly delivered.

    The good stuff: the music. the ost is so good. the japanese voice acting. the photo mode and art style are gorgeous. the combat. the side activities like writing poems or cutting bamboo were simple yet so rewarding and important to have in my opinion. The start of the story kept me invested until the end, and the end was emotional and memorable. The main quests and the mythic quests were so juicy and good. The online is free, well-done, and fun.

    The story could have been slightlyyy deeper perhaps. Also, some side quests were fetch quests. The horse is not on the level of red dead redemtption, but as i said, this is an indie game, so with that in mind, it is fine. In contrast to rdr2 though, it was nice to have a horse that doesnt die, and picking the name for it was memorable and endearing. some settlements and npc's were not on the level of rockstar or guerilla game.

    Overall, a more or less perfect package if you love feudal japan, immersion, exploration, variety, good sword combat, and japanese and mongolian traditional music. I commend the game and the developpers. I give this game a 93/100    … Expand

    Finally!! An open-world game that do not feel like a chore. A game that envelopes you in its world. A game that no one saw coming but it delivered submerging you in its story. Although enemy A.I. could have been better.

    Story : Simple, to the point, easy to understand, very good endings, all the character is very likeable, but sadly it's kinda short.

    Gameplay : I really like that they give different stances for countering specific enemy, the throwables is very easy to use, and what a fantastic design of armor they had in this game.

    Cinematic : Absolutely fantastic.

The central plot is compelling and i became invested in Jin and his friends as characters. There's no HUD, which does a lot for the immersion.     Almost a absolute masterpiece of a game, the combat is fun, the story is amazing, the exploration is engaging, there are a few bugs and annoying questlines, but even so, is simply a must play for playstation owners, good game from start to finish, 100% worth it

    Absolutely an amazing game. The atmosphere is outstanding, one of the best graphic and atmosphere quality I have ever seen. Gameplay is also very good but it takes some time get used to it. And I think that the game is hard. It has some Souls games influences.

    One of the best samurai games I have played in a while. The amazing landscapes make you lose yourself and inmersive in the vast open world this game creates. Whit spectacular landscapes, amazing soundtracks and inmersive story, not even the repetitive (at times) game play make you feel the same even after 40 hours of game play.

    Most beautiful game I have ever played. World is so engaging and aesthetically beautiful. Combat is so fun and complex. The story is well written and kept me engaged throughout. Must play game on PS65

    This was an amazing experience. The combat looks and feel of the game is amazing. I am not a fan of stealth games, but luckily even on Hard you can do much of the content by simply getting good at the combat.

    The best samurai game in a long time and a great fun for all, who love action. Love for Japan and its history is a big plus, but its knowledge is not necessary to enjoy every minute of this beautiful game. [Issue#305]

    Ghost of Tsushima is a flawed, but fun, game. While the gameplay itself was solid, and the story was decent, I definitely expected a lot more from Sony’s final PlayStation 4 exclusive. It had enough to keep me hooked, but lacked the polish we’ve all grown to love from a Sony first party game.

    Ultimately, it feels like the game could have benefited from a smaller scope or a more linear structure. Focus on the duels could have created a more engrossing product, especially if it honed in on the narrative for a more concise and cinematic experience. But as it stands, Ghost of Tsushima is another AAA open world title and doesn’t seek to define itself as anything other than that.
