    Side missions become a bit repetitive at some point, and lip syncing isn't good. Great game otherwise. Especially the combat mechanics are better than any other game.

    This game is absolutely incredible! From the story and the gameplay.
    The art style is phenomenal. Another thing that makes it amazing is the added Legends mode.
    I was immersed with the world and I look forward for the sequel.

    I'm pretty surprised at the score here.

    So I played the intro section and a few minutes more and I was bored. Really bored. I just got an old Monster Hunter a few days ago and it was more entertaining in 5 minutes than this was in an hour. So basically this feels like a more boring, less fluid, worse looking version of Gujian 3. I have played a few hours of Gujian 3 and it has left me    I'm pretty surprised at the score here.

    So basically this feels like a more boring, less fluid, worse looking version of Gujian 3. I have played a few hours of Gujian 3 and it has left me wanting more . Ghost of Tsushima left me deleting the game.

    The game felt like a film with button presses and sluggish action. Now I can deal with this type of thing, I really enjoyed Beyond Two Souls but the character, this Jin guy, I didn't want to be him, he was so (and I know I'm repeating this word) boring. I just wanted him to get killed off. I love Samurai, I love Japanese things and this is a stunning game but that is it. This Jin guy was like an annoying little millennial **** of a Samurai. There is honour and there is being a bell end. There is a fine line and he crossed it. Jumped up and down on that line.

    GoT is a bit like pulling a model on a night out and getting her home to find out the beef curtains be smelling more like a 2 week old tuna butty than a prime cut.

    As if the immersion of being in the shoes of a character I wanted to punch wasn't game breaking enough. The PS4 started up its propeller every 30 seconds, sounding like it was ready to launch a NASA rocket.

    So if you want a historical Asian style game with good action and stunning graphics. Personally, for me, Gujian 3 is way better.

    I give a point for the bloody brilliant graphics.

    -9 for bad characters, story, gameplay and making my PS4 fan work it's ticket to the extreme. I don't really remember the sound being good, or bad. I'm guessing it was probably just OK. Maybe I just couldn't hear it over the frigging fan that was only recently dismantled and cleaned out.    … Expand

It ain't no assassin game, which forces you to buy lvl or grind it. Soundtrack is just wow. Story cinematics madeAbsolutely fascinating game in every aspect possible.     One of the best games I have ever played. Based loosely on real-world events from the Kamakura period when the Mongols invaded Japan. The main character is a samurai who abandons his principles to defend his people. The gameplay is open-world similar to Witcher or Red Dead but the artwork is something I've never seen before.     Negative points - its long, and big, and getting 100% is a grind. My recommendation is don't go for 100% just play the main story. It's like an epic-adventure film that way.

    Besides Mad Max, I've not been more surprised, pleased, happy about a game I went into knowing nothing about. It also is in the top, of my all time favorites. Great graphics, most fun game play, I couldn't wait to progress but at the same time I didn't wanna hurry too much, I wanted to savor the fun. The skill tree was well explained. Side missions felt aw important as main missions. IBesides Mad Max, I've not been more surprised, pleased, happy about a game I went into knowing nothing about.     Однозначно могу сказать что это очень очень хороший продукт, давно таких не видел.
    Из плюсов: сюжет, картинка, механика. Их минусов: однотипные враги, скудный выбор оружия и пожалуй линейность, ваш выбор реально не влияет на геймлей.     There is no doubt that this game is beautiful but it didn't reignite my love for a feudal Japan. The story was good, but it was completely diminished by the gameplay. Game forces you to loose your honor and become an assassin because its the only option except it isn't and its much easier and quicker to just call a standoff and kill everybody even on hardest difficulty.

    The world does not feel alive compare to RDR2 or even AC: Origins. Combat lacks variety, you fight 5 types of enemy all the time. Stealth is too simple.

    I rekindled my love of gaming during the Covid downtime when nothing was open and one of the games I played through was this absolutely brilliant son of a **** The game is beautiful, the game play and controls are well paced and intuitive. The campaign is incredibly long and it provides a ton of entertainment for the money. I had one minor issue that prevented this game from achieving a perfect score. There were a few points in the game in which things were going at a hectic pace but because I failed to hit a point of the screen to move the action forward I was stuck in a holding pattern running around aimlessly wondering what I had failed to do. Before realizing that had I only moved my character to a specific spot the game would have moved along. Also, I was able to complete the game without finishing every mission (which is fine) but when I continued after completing the game it gave off a silly sense of urgency vibe that shouldn't have existed. Make no mistake, I loved this game and thought it was an amazing gaming experience, it's just not perfect, very close, but not quite.… Expand

The combat is fluid and makes sense and the stances are interesting, that is when you're not being chased down by the whole damn mafia, this game loves to throw 5-7 enemies at you at once with no remorse. This is just straight up painful and makes you feel like a weakling instead of a samurai, the opposite of what it should be. The graphics, voice acting and tone are great and are the only thing deserving genuine praise, they combine to create a rich Japanese style and feeling. Next up the duels, ohhh boy the duels. These duels were the most sleazy way to "Dark Soulsify" the game, these damn duels pit you off against a monstrous foe without your bows, arrows, and kunai. Basically all you have is your sword and stances. These duels consists of dodging/parrying an onslaught of enemy attacks, judging with your expected to have sixth sense of which way to roll out of the attacks, all while counterattacking and chipping away at the enemy's massive armor and health bars. These duels are grueling, unforgiving with no checkpoints and last what feels like forever. This part of the game is the most monotonous, and was a good way to get masochistic journalists to praise this game as another "Soulsborne genre redefining game". All of this leads up to what feels like a troll of a final boss, not to get into spoilers, they strip all your armor and charms, leaving your defense levels plummeting and your armor charms gone. This coupled with the bosses insta-kill attacks was a fitting way to end this gruesome game. All in all, this game is no where near as good as PlayStation grifters and paid masochistic game journalists claim it to be, this game is good in some areas piss poor in others.     Game is average.Story is fine and nothing more.Unskippable slow and sometimes boring cutscenes.Graphic is on a level of Horizon Zero Dawn.Few annoying bugs like climbing a ladder is very frustrating to hit.All in all there are better titles out there.

    My biggest issue is that the game does not allow you to actually explore, everything is on the map, the game tells you where to go constantly, if you are tracking footsteps the character tells you where to go, it is all too easy and does not truly allow me to explore for myself.

    The combat quickly gets repetitive compared to the masterpiece that is Sekiro. The open world is nowhere near Red Dead Redemption 2 levels. I take offense seeing the game have 9.1 in grade.    … Expand

    Ghost of Tsushima is the perfect example why an average gamer should not look into critics review to buy a game. compared to games like Elden Ring, Ghost of Tsushima is a head and shoulder above in every aspect of the game. There is a story, fun fights and difficulty settings that is suitable for everyone. The haptic feedback on PS5 is amazing even though this game was designed for previous gen.

However, there were a couple of flaws that I was not able to brush off which I usually can when I thoroughly enjoy a game this much. One of the issues for me was the very two-dimensionallyOne of the most mechanically fun games I've played in a long time and it was quite the fun ride from start to finish. Enjoyed looting and unlocking everything. Off to a good start for a new IP. However, there were a couple of flaws that I was not able to brush off which I usually can when I thoroughly enjoy a game this much. One of the issues for me was the very two-dimensionally characters like Lord Shimura. Was not a very big fan of his "You have no HONOR" regime that he kept going on and on about. He also uses it in the most absurd situations to the point where his character feels very cartoonish, If it wasn't for the pure love for his nephew, he would have been a very boring character for me. I also felt that some character facial performances didn't come off as good due to the reduction in graphics quality, especially after they showed really good footage before the quality went down, but it made for smoother gameplay, so I'm not as fussed about it. Also, absolutely beautiful soundtrack.… Expand

    Сюжет - вполне неплохо, но не увау. По началу интригующе, потом по хуже, в конце прям кульминация, мое почтение. Сюжет прямо линейный, только в конце есть выбор, и признаюсь, я в конце минуты 3 просто смотрел на экран и думал что сделать, очень хорошо. Сюжет - 7/10
    Раскрытие главных персонажей - это как бы побочные задачи, но как бы нет, раскрыли очень хорошо 10/10
    Обычные побочные задачи - унылое, постное, неинтересное, с раскрытием главных героев несравненно. Было пару тройку интересных, поэтому 3/10
    Донатная система - её нет. Кто-то из юбимофт сейчас потерял дар речи, как нет доната? В игре много красивых скинов. Вы их получаете за цветочки найденные в открытом мире. Находишь цветочки и меняешь их на скины у торговцев, которые также находятся в открытом мире.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. First of all I got to say this is probably my favorite open world game that has ever been developed by sucker Punch productions. Although the flaws in this game makes me feel that this doesn't deserve to be called a masterpiece. I'd like the story of the game. I like the open world design and the beautiful visuals of the game. I think the combat is fun and feels snappy and responsive when slicing guys up with your katana. Graphics I feel like could have been better. I feel like the environments look better than the actual in-game character models. The main character is pretty bland and not charismatic at all but there's a story reason purpose for that. I think the two biggest flaws in terms of gameplay is the stealth and the combat doesn't evolve in any major ways and enemies don't get any tougher. Fact that's the biggest problem overall with the gameplay. The fact that overall the game is incredibly easy even if you're playing on hard difficulty. During stealth sections it's even becomes more prevalent. The guards have absolutely no peripheral vision and and they don't hear your footsteps if you're not walking slowly while crouching. When you get caught and if you quickly kill the guard who sounds the alarm everybody will just go back to normal like nothing happened they don't stay panicked and are not searching for you the whole time once they know someone is there. I feel like I need to explain this to everyone because the main story is about a samurai who has to give up his samurai code and start killing enemies behind their backs which is against the samurai's way and slowly become the Japan's first ever ninja or aka the ghost. The main character Jin Saki has to learn to give up his samurai lifestyle to do whatever it takes to defeat an enemy who does not respect the samurai ways and traditions. The Game narrative basically ask this question: do we obey our leaders without questioning them or without doubts if their way can defeat the enemy who does not care about playing fair and only cares about playing dirty and doing whatever they can to win. I still think this is a good game but I think it's mixed at best when you combine the two main gameplay issues it's hard for me to argue that if this is a masterpiece or not.… Expand

Auch das Schleichen funktioniert bei Ghost deutlich besser als in Assassin's Creed. Allerdings zeigen sich hier auch die Ähnlichkeiten beider Spiele, nämlich in der doch sehr dummen Gegner KI. Diese sind nämlich zu leicht auszutricksen. An den Realismus von Naughty Dog Produktionen kommt Sucker Punch hier kaum heran. Und auch wenn die Spielewelt wunderschön anzusehen ist und viele Highlights bietet, sieht man dem Spiel schon an, dass Sucker Punch eines der kleineren Sony Studios ist und lange nicht so viel Detailarbeit in den Titel geflossen ist, wie beispielsweise in ein Horizon oder The Last of Us. So sind gerade Dialoge mit NPCs ausserhalb der toll gefilmten Cut-Scenes recht altbacken realisiert. Generell sind Dialoge und Storyquests lange nicht auf dem Niveau geschrieben, wie man dies von Naughty Dog, Insomniac oder selbst einem Days Gone her kennt. Warum Ghost dann aber doch mehr ist als nur ein weiteres gutes Sony Open World Spiel, ist vielleicht die hervorragend getroffene Stilistik des Spiels. Wer alte Samurai Schinken liebt, wird dieses Spiel sicherlich feiern.… Expand

    One of the best games, I've played in a long time. The story is great and original and the way your skills are upgraded feels great. Most importantly, the sword-fighting feels so dynamic and realistic - as if you were fighting your self. Even though the game becomes repetitive after a while (the missions all revolve around killing mongols), you never grow tired of the battles. Between this game and TLOU2 I realize how stupid people are who trust paid critics reviews. If you see a 0/10, I urge you to look up that persons review of TLOU2 and see if they gave it a 10/10, I guarantee they did. Garbage people btrying to bring this game down because it does not have the agenda is just pathetic.

    All that aside, I did not give this game a 10/10 lightly, the graphics, the gameplay, the music, are all amazing and GOTY worthy. The ONLY bad thing I have to say is the main character is a little dull, but no game is perfect. I don't give 10/10 to perfect games because there are none, I give it to games like this that are so amazing they force me to overlook it's flaws, just like God of War. I watched a YouTuber play through the whole of GOW and I still wanted to play it, and not just play it, play it over and over again. Ghosts of Tsushima IS that kind of game. There is nothing that really breaks your immersion throughout your time in the world, even the Japanese reviewers are giving it good scores. That's a good indication that they have a true masterpiece of a game.

    Well done Sucker Punch. Sony take note and don't allow "woke" media to ruin your 1st party games. I hope this continues through to the PS5 and we see some fantastic gameplay like this and even better graphics to enhance our experiences. This is what gamers deserve, and what they want.     Absolutely amazing and breathtaking title. Love the world of the island of Tsushima. The sidequests, plot, characters, music, gameplay are all stellar and A++. This is one of the titles of the PS4 era. Highly recommend to anyone looking to try this game out.

    So... let's get one thing straight, the story is as good as you want to think.
    It's basically the "Oh, following the Bushido Code is no good when your enemy give 0 f*cks about it" so you basically become a Nin- sorry "GhOst"..
    Funny thing is, the game actually lets you freely to choose you style of Combat.

    - "Samurai Mode" which is combat which has potential but its buggy 'cause they had to put the money into the "open world" BS
    - "The Ghost" which is you basic Farcry 3 skills, only this time the enemies are dump in some cases (sometimes they see a comrade's corpse and don't react :/ )
    - And technically Archery, which is way to good in this game since you get easy headshots with the slow-mo

    Anyway, even if you choose to NOT abandoned the Bushido code, the game will regard you as the GhOst 'cause why bothet making branches.
    Why bother? well that's easy, much like GoW4, GoT also thinks that havin' mediocre feature from every genre will make the game better.

    And let's not forget the amounts of ToDos in this game to keep you busy and make you like you money's well spent in this game, yay, I really wanted to play 40+ hours chasing foxes, birds and goddamn outposts.

    Some of you might say "but what about the side quests with the mini stories? with the characters you meet along the way?" to which I say...
    What about them? Do you remember every single time you had to walk around and talked with them? and strolled with them?
    Was it worth it to see your character standing still, talking to the side character? Don't you want to see a cutscene that shows way more character personality? And I ain't even a story guy in video games, because you know... I want to PLAY, not read a "script".
    By "script" I mean Cory Barlog's vision of a "video game" leaving the game out

    Before I go over to my main critic, I got thing to say to this game. Did you really have to "uglify" the Japanese women?
    Especially the Mikos, which look like native Americans. Where's my Kikyo dammit XD? That's pretty Woke move you did there....
    But seriously, but why did you make the Mikos look so ugly? Googling Japanese Mikos finds me YOUNG (not old sucker punch) women usually look good and cute.
    But no, let's appeal to the Woke BS, and put in Old hags, stuck up **** (yea, **** Yuna, her character is not in the slightest acting Japanese) or just plain ugly.
    Hugh... *sign* I finally released my anger on that part.

    But you know, with all the hate I bring to this review, I actually some pros for GoT.
    - The sword stances are very Unique for me.
    - The movement is good
    - And the game does have a charm, much like AC1.

    The main problem I have with GoT is the fact that it had to be another dull open world game that doesn't even try to make it interesting.
    The exploration is still boring. Yes I though that the "guiding wind" would solve the issue as well, but as it turns out, it's still forces you to open the map menu, select the point you want to go, and go. It's just that now you can actually look at the fields' and forests and not stare at a mini map.
    But that still defeats the whole purposes of exploration and navigation which are suppose to be the building of making a fun open world.
    And even then, riding with you horse from A to B is still dull.

    So you know what, maybe it's time Playstation "exclusives" will stop the open world crap and focus mainly on their gameplay.
    Because here's the potential I see in GoT, which is the combat stealth.
    If SP developed linear levels that let them to design interesting combat areas, they would have surely improved the gameplay.
    Instead of polluting an open world with boring ToDo list I have seen in other million open world trash games... you know..

    So here's my ending statement. Wake me up, when clunky combat in video games is ancient history.
    Or, Wake me up, when open world games actually have no compress to guide you and the exploration is apart of the main gameplay.    … Expand

    Third person action game with basic stealth in bushes.
    You cannot use uchigatana, spear, naginata or other samurai weapons.
    Story is boring.

    I love this game. Exploring was really fun. And the graphics are very beautiful and there’s an breathtaking environment. Combat is like a Morris milliliters of game. The horse riding is very smooth. I also really enjoyed the story it felt like a high budget TV show and I would recommend it to anyone or the age of five

    One day I told my mom's friend what ps4 game to buy me (cuz she wanted to get me a present) and i said the last of us 2 or dark souls. They didn't have any. In the last second, i remembered this samurai game and said "Ghost of tsushima idk". Popped it in when she came and couldn t leave for 2 hours until i had to go eat. Just, a masterpiece. Favourite game of all time

    It's amazing how atmospheric this game is, while not compromising anything.
    Good story with movie-quality cut-scenes.
    Fun mechanics with a reasonable learning curve.
    Simply amazing.
    I'm not giving it a 10 because the game lacks historical & geographical accuracy. I'm especially appalled at how the game completely disregards Tsushima's actual geography.

    Excellent world building, super satisfying combat, top notch performances (played Japanese audio mode), and downright beautiful visuals. All that said, I have two key complaints:

    From the beautiful open world to the combat this is a samurai game which does it right, the combat isn’t to hard and can be challenging at times which allows the game to never seem to be too boring or easy. The landscape of this game is also amazing which resulted in me spending hours in photo mode.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. TLOU 2'nin üzerine oynayınca bazı açılardan biraz sırıttı.

    Hikayesi fena değil ama işlenişi meh. Yurdunu Moğol işgalinden kurtarmak isteyen, bu yüzden statüko (samuraylar) ve otorite (dayısı) tarafından onaylanmayan, hatta hor görülen yöntemler kullanmak zorunda kalan, halk tarafından bile bazen korkulan ama genelde sevilen bir kahramanın hikayesi. Yuna'nın yöntemlerini (suikast) uygulamak ilk başta karakterimizin de hoşuna gitmiyor, içsel çelişkiler yaşıyor. Ancak sonunda Moğollara karşı bunların mübah olduğuna karar veriyor ve nihayetinde belki de biraz aşırıya kaçıyor. Moğolları zehirleme olayı samuraylar, Shogun ve dayısı için bardağı taşıran son damla oluyor. Moğolların bu zehri öğrenip Japon halkına karşı kullanması ise karakterimizin bile pişman olmasına neden oluyor. Bu zehir meselesini ABD'nin atom bombasını kullanması ve sonrasına yaşanan soğuk savaş sürecine bir gönderme olarak okumak mümkün. Sonuçta Ghost of Tsushima, tam bir "İstediğimiz değil ama ihtiyacımız olan kahraman" hikayesi. Kirli, namert, şeref yoksunu. Ancak sonunda dayısına dediği gibi şerefin kölesi değil.

    Oyunun sonunda dayımızla savaşmak zorunda kalmamız, iki klandan birisinin sona erecek olması, buraya bizi getiren süreç, o anki atmosfer ve manzara gerçekten etkileyiciydi.

    Oyunun ara sahnelerindeki oyun içi görüntüler çok kötü. Karakterlerin yüz ifadeleri donuk, en duygusal sahneler bile taca çıkıyor. Hadi TLOU 2 seviyesinde olmaz da insan bari AC oyunları seviyesinde yapar şunları.

    Oyunun gideceğimiz yeri rüzgarın yönü ile göstermesi, ekranı mini map tarzı yapay bir şey ile kirletmemesi çok şık olmuş.

    Oyunun öne çıkan ve benzerlerinden ayrılan özelliği dövüş mekaniği. Özellikle ortalarından itibaren gelişme hissini çok iyi alıyorsunuz ve samuray olmanın ne demek olduğunu anlıyorsunuz. Oyunun dövüş mekaniğinin temelinde parry (savuşturma) yer alıyor. Rakibin hamlesini bekleyip doğru anda bloklayarak savunmasız yakalamak ve öldürmek üzerine kurulu. Dodge'lama (kaçınma) da bir diğer yöntem ama işin temelinde parry olduğunu söylenebilir. Ancak ikisinde de en önemli nokta zamanlama. İyi bir zamanlama ile rakibe 1-2 tane vurabilecek fırsat bulursunuz ancak mükemmel bir zamanlama ile direkt öldürme şansı elde edersiniz. Mükemmel zamanlamanın handikapı ise hasar alma şansınız yüksek.

    Oyunda 4 temel duruş var ve bunların her birini farklı düşman tiplerine göre kullanmak gerekiyor: Kılıçlılara, kalkanlılara, mızraklılara ve iriyarı düşmanlara. Oyun esnasında kalabalık ve çeşitli düşman grupları üzerinize gelirken bile bu duruşlar arasında geçiş yapmak çok kolay. Duruşları sonuna kadar geliştirdiğinizde yapabildiğiniz combo'lar çok çeşitli değil ama çok tatmin edici. Görsellik, karakter animasyonu, düşmanın kana bulanması, ölürkenki animasyonları, ses tasarımı çok estetik. Bir yerden sonra karakterinizin darbe hızı öyle artıyor ki müthiş tatmin oluyorsunuz.

    Fırlatılabilir silahlarsa epey çeşitli. Sis bombası benim favorimdi, sıkıştığım anlarda çok yardımı dokundu.

    Zırh, şapka, maske ve kılıç çeşitliliği yerinde. Öyle her düşmandan çıkan loot'a bakayım, benimkinden kaç fazla vuruyor bakayım ameleliği yok. Bazı ana ve yan görevlerde ödül olarak direkt bunları veriyor. Zaten istatistiklerinizi ve oynayışınızı etkileyen sadece zırhlar. Diğerleri görünüş.

    Oyundaki gelişim hissi sonuna kadar devam ediyor. Ben her haritanın önce yan görevlerini, karakter görevlerini ve masal görevlerini yapıp en son ana görevlere girdiğim için bu gelişme hissini sonuna kadar yaşadım. Masal görevlerinden elde edilen zırhlar güzel ama özellikle açılan yetenekler çok tatmin edici. Yanan kılıç, üç düşmana aynı anda hızlıca üç darbe vurma gibi yetenekler estetik olarak çok güzel görünüyor.

    Oyundaki teke tek düello sistemi ilk başta sıkıcı gelmişti ancak ileride babanızın zırhını geliştirdiğinizde ve bu özelliği artırdığınızda 5 düşmana kadar birer vuruşta alabiliyorsunuz. Bu da sonraki savaşa hayalet bar'ı neredeyse dolu şekilde girmenizi sağlıyor. Bu yöntemle bir boss'u daha kılıcını sallayamadan üç saniyede öldürmüştüm. OP olmayı orada tam olarak hissetmiştim. Bu arada hayalet yeteneği görsel olarak sanki Tarantino ve onun özendiği Uzak Doğu filmlerinden fırlamış gibi duruyor. Epey etkileyici.

    Oyunun açık dünyası canlı değil. Ancak manzaralar öyle güzel ve çeşitli ki açık dünyasında at koşturmaktan en çok keyif aldığım oyunlardan birisi oldu. Rengarenk çiçekli çayırlar, ormanlar, günbatımı.

    Oyunun TR çevirisi başta tuhaf geldi ama sonra alıştım ve oyuna uygun buldum.

    Sonuçta hikaye sunumu ortalama altı, combat'ı ortalama üstü bir iş.    … Expand

    Fazia tempo que eu não jogava um jogo tão bom, poucos defeitos tecnicos, boa variedade de gameplay, bebe muito da fonte de Assassin's, o que é excelente, melhores gráficos que já vi (Só atrás de TLOU 2), cenários que serviriam facilmente de papéis de parede, historia muito boa.

    This game is amazing specially the combat aspect even if it might get repetitive you will not get tired playing it. I really love the moment when the screen goes black and white and you do some badass things to your enemy. i hope the they make a sequel.

    The best samurai game in a long time and a great fun for all, who love action. Love for Japan and its history is a big plus, but its knowledge is not necessary to enjoy every minute of this beautiful game. [Issue#305]

    Ghost of Tsushima is a flawed, but fun, game. While the gameplay itself was solid, and the story was decent, I definitely expected a lot more from Sony’s final PlayStation 4 exclusive. It had enough to keep me hooked, but lacked the polish we’ve all grown to love from a Sony first party game.

    Ultimately, it feels like the game could have benefited from a smaller scope or a more linear structure. Focus on the duels could have created a more engrossing product, especially if it honed in on the narrative for a more concise and cinematic experience. But as it stands, Ghost of Tsushima is another AAA open world title and doesn’t seek to define itself as anything other than that.
