    Excruciatingly long introduction with unskippable cutscenes, then onto boring and repetitive "kill wave after wave of enemies" missions and world events. Combat is atrocious when you're not fighting the camera (which is most of the time) and the whole standoff gimmick seems completely pointless - it adds nothing.

    Wow!! Just wow!! What an amazing experience. I am currently playing the game and i am highly addicted to it. I can't stop playing it. I played through most of the side quest I haven't even touched the story quest yet and i am truly amazed. The gameplay is so smooth and fun. There are many things to discover and learn. New techniques, new armour, upgrading your tool and much much more.Wow!! Just wow!! What an amazing experience. I am currently playing the game and i am highly addicted to it. I can't stop playing it. I played through most of the side quest I haven't even touched the story quest yet and i am truly amazed. The gameplay is so smooth and fun. There are many things to discover and learn. New techniques, new armour, upgrading your tool and much much more. Those with negative reviews did not play the game!!     I love this game.Combat system is amazing,open world-BRILLIANT,one of the best one worlds.Ending is also very good.1v1 duels are very well made,progress system also.Jin is very well written character and oh boy,Kenji is THE BEST.

    Creative and inspired masterpiece. The atmosphere the game creates is breathtaking and the story is amazing but you have to play it with japanese audio (+ english subtitles) in order to catch all of its magic trust me. Graphics and visuals are outstanding. The story, the dialogues and the well written characters are so deep, emotional and meaningful - this is not your average killing game.Creative and inspired masterpiece.     I have had this game for a while now and it did not disappoint. This is my first platinum trophy and getting it was pretty fun. Its a really good game, the story is decent, the visuals are amazing (i played on ps4) the combat is also very nice and i liked the exploration, pretty diverse, fun and interesting places. The character customization is also decent, being pretty rewarding to do aI have had this game for a while now and it did not disappoint. This is my first platinum trophy and getting it was pretty fun. If they can’t watch a 20-hour cutscene and they have to actually think at all, then they hate the game. Anyone comparing this to Assassin’s Creed should have their head examined and their mouth slapped.

And as long as we are trying to say the world and locations in this game are boring, then I can say the same thing about Elden Ring. I’m literally dumbfounded at the 83 Metacritic.     Open world abbastanza classico, con uno stile grafico molto ispirato con paesaggi davvero d'impatto.
    Gameplay e sistema di combattimento molto valido, vario e tecnico, pieno di approcci e soluzioni diverse.
    Trama molto lineare, forse anche troppo.
    Longevo e con un livello di difficoltà ben calibrato.
    Non un capolavoro, ma un titolo solidissimo.

    It's a good game but too much of it is a slightly better version of a modern AC game. World is empty and lifeless. You only have like 5 different enemy types. Side quests are ok but repeatable . Other side activities are taken straight from a Ubisoft modern open world game so they are really bad.     - Gráficos: os gráficos são excelentes na plataforma PlayStation 4 base. As texturas são suaves, quase não se nota cerrilhados em partes mais distantes do cenário. O Draw Distance é ótimo, com renderização do que é mais importante ao longe, sem tanta perda de detalhes. - Desempenho: o desempenho no PlayStation 4 base se apresentou primoroso    Dividindo o jogo em partes relevantes:

    - Gráficos: os gráficos são excelentes na plataforma PlayStation 4 base. As texturas são suaves, quase não se nota cerrilhados em partes mais distantes do cenário. O Draw Distance é ótimo, com renderização do que é mais importante ao longe, sem tanta perda de detalhes.

    This was the best game of 2020. It also has some of the best sword fighting mechanics I have ever seen. Don't Get me started on the story about a saimiri giving up everting to save his people and losing his farther as well such a amazingly told game OMG.

    I rarely give games 10/10 but this one completely earned it. The game did so many things correctly i thought was impossible when i first picked up the game. The combat is extremely engaging and never felt repetitive to me. You have 4 different sword stance styles that all functions differently based on situations. The side quests also has a lot of meaning to them but some of them are very similar to each other but it was still fun doing them so it wasn’t that bad. I never expected this game to give you so many armor sets and tools to allow you to decide how you want to play. There are armor sets that boost things like stealth, melee damage, or make your other weapons stronger. I definitely recommend this game.… Expand

    My goodness, if it wasn't for Sonys stellar 1st party titles like Ghost of Tsushima I'd have already stopped gaming. Visual presentation is phenomenal for an open world game, with richly detailed environments peppered with things to do and enemies to fight. Not too much, but not tool little.     Combat mechanics and encounters are literal perfection allowing the player to alternate between Assassins Creed style stealth or open combat initiated in a "Samurai standoff". 4 separate, easy to switch between stances for each enemy type can be earned and in combination with dodge and parry mechanics allow the player to effortlessly engage anything (and any number of enemies) the game throws at you.

    Upgrades are integrated into the world via hot springs, bamboo "strikes" and several others lending to the immersion and are intuitive and easy to understand. The map is regularly updated with waypoints and points of interest (ie, the game respects your time)

    Armor sets, sword sets, dyes, upgrade trees for weapons, armor and all skills round out one of the most feature complete and polished games ever made. Modern and polished, fast paced and tight, rewarding combat. You will absolutely immerse into the world and feel like an unstoppable samurai by the end of the game.

    An amazing underrated game. The visuals are amazing, the art directions of this game has to be one of the best so far. The combat feels amazing and the world is solid. It's true that it is not a revolutionary open world but with a great addition such as the wind mechanic.

    I would recommend this game to everyone that has a PS4.

    Если вы ждали игру про ассасинов в самурайском сеттинге то вот она. Здесь присутствуют та же самая дрочильня что и у юбисофт по зачистке аванпостов. единственное что юбики бы не упустили возможности испортить игру анальной монетизацией скинчиками и тремя платными дополнениями.

It becomes very repetitive and a chore very quickly, very slow moving from point to point, not a lot to do but the same camps over and over, nothing interesting in the island to explore and awful dialogue story cutscenes THAT CANT BE SKIPPED (by choice of devs)

    It might come off as a surprise to some of you, but the narrative is a mixed bag in my opinion. While the premise is interesting, the conclusion is predictable - albeit beautiful - and I couldn't get emotionally invested to certain plot points because the delivery wasn't engaging at times. Overall, Ghost of Tsushima's story is alright; it's not bad but it's not very good either.
    The gameplay is amazing though; it's probably my favorite part of the game! it's varied, it's challenging, it looks cinematic and it feels very satisfying.
    The music is great, the cinematography is fantastic and the visuals are some of the best I've seen in any videogame.
    Also, I love the way this game utilizes the touch pad.
    As I said before, the world looks gorgeous, however, the quest design is monotonous for the most part.
    The characters are likable and their Tales are quite intriguing, but most of them are forgettable.
    The stealth lacks depth and there are surprisingly many forced stealth quests in the story.
    Lastly, there's not enough enemy variety and the unskippable dialogue makes the dull side-quests even more tedious.

    Pros:
    + Serviceable plot
    + Exciting and cinematic gameplay
    + Really good music
    + Superb visuals & cinematography
    + Fascinating utility of the touch pad

    Cons:
    - Weak storytelling & unmemorable characters
    - Repetitious quest design
    - Shallow and forced stealth

    Graficznie gra jest zrobiona bardzo fajnie, fabuła główna tez spoko, ale te misje poboczne to jakiś dramat. Odbijanie obozów zajętych przez mongołów, ciągła powtarzalność tylko inne lokacje, nuda... Nie wiem czym tak bardzo się ludzie zachwycają. Osobiście uważam, że ta gra to średniak,,,,

    It's a great samurai game, the combat system is really good and engaging, the animations, the graphics and the art style are amazing. The open world activities don't suck, and the side quest are decent. The parts where this game fails are the weak story, the mediocre characters and the awful pacing.

    Great! Interesting character development in a situation when following Bushido codex and family tradition would lead to unavoidable defeat.
    Everything backed up with smooth fight mechanics and balanced difficulty level.

    And it looks amazing even on PS4 slim.

Customisation is virtually endless as you can look freaking dope in this game. The graphics are a treat to see and it baffles me that i was playing on a ps4 slim given how amazing the graphics were. With that said the game did not cheap out on the gameplay and its really good. However the sidequests can feel very tiring to do sometimes and the endless horse rides are abit strange. I dont like how some character models are presented but hey, still a pretty solid game with little bugs. Good experience overall with an engaging story.… Expand

For starters the Ps5 upgrade is basically the same as the PS4 version so don't waste your money if you already own it. Standoffs have no guide. On YouTube it shows when to press triangle and for me it doesn't ? I even changed the settings to show extra combat tips or whatever and it didn'tThis game is extremely overated and here's why.     Great story, Amazing visuals and all around really fun combat. There is one BIG problem and that is the camera is very mean and when I do the hot springs as Jin I only get to see his butt and can't turn the camera to see his weeny.

    Fist game make me cry for it’s fantastic story ! You feel yourself in Japan as a liberalism samurai ! The environment still makes me laugh and feel happy , the colors in the game , it’s just a valuable art work ! Engine is another surprise for you , makes me feel good, feel scary and feel proud

Good graphics, the wind mechanic is interesting and very original, good combat system with bloody death animations on enemies, average story, good soundtrack, and the Japanese artstyle in this game is spectacular and original. The only bad thing about this game is that the missions/side quests like Haikus, CuttingThis is one of the best PlayStation 4 exclusive games I've ever played. The only bad thing about this game is that the missions/side quests like Haikus, Cutting Bamboo, Mongol Territories, Sashimono banners, Inari Shrines and Duels are repetitive which makes it feel a bit boring. But it is a very good game. I think this game is not made for everyone, I only recommend this game if you like games set in feudal Japan, in the bloody days of the samurai, or recommended if you like RPGs like Assassin's Creed or The Witcher.     Totally Overrated, the Story isnt sadly that good, really not a Single interesting figure in this, i like Shimura, thats all, all side kicks especially Yuna are just terrible and she's only in the Game to show that Women can be Strong too. Yuna is Ruinen the whole Game to me, The Fight System is very unfair. But it looks beautiful, thats all

    One word: masterpiece. The best thing for me is the world design. Even though the map is pretty big everything is absolutely beautiful. The combat, oh man the combat, it´s so satisfying. The story gets only better within the progress of the game. There are many dramatically made plot twists and I really fell into the story of the game quickly.

    This is one of the greatest games of all time. The characters are great and the journey Jin goes through to become the Ghost is incredible.

    A basic yet captivating story with an emotional conclusion, a great oriental environment and soundtrack. And the game play is just perfect. It flows so smoothly!!!

    Pretty good but far from the best. It's basically an Assassin's Creed game with good graphics and actual good combat, however there is a severe lack of animation even in main story cutscenes that gets you out of the story.

    I’m surprised Sucker Punch was able to write this good of a story since the infamous series seemed to have a mediocre story. The main character struggles with maintaining his traditions or to do what is necessary to save his country from being taking over. The only thing I wish the developer could have done different is to allow you to choose which of those two paths to take instead of forcing you into one path but I admit that would be difficult to write out both ways. The route they take you on will help you decide on your own morals. The combat was also well done in this game, providing a challenge for those that want one. Sucker Punch made this one innovation that every game should follow suit on which is how they guide you through the world. They don’t give you a giant arrow to show you the way. They let you follow the wind. Follow that bird or fox that you found in the game. I’m surprised it took this long for someone to think of this idea. It’s so simply.    … Expand

    Story is very good. Gameplay and combat mechanics are phenomenal. It's designed with great idea behind it - enemies deal more damage, but so does Jin. On this difficulty all fights make you feel like a real badass samurai. One parry, three quick strikes and most of your enemies are on the ground, and the rest is frightened, you can see this brief moment of hesitation in your enemies and this feels electrifying (I hardly ever used stealth). I cannot expres how much I love fighting in this game, but one more thing that I admire as much as fighting system is the cinematic roots of the game.
    All of Tsushima looks amazing, and the fact that the wind guides player and interface is minimalistic makes you look around and just enjoy the landscapes and landmarks. One of the most beautiful games I've ever play, because the artistic vision behind this title is so clear and consistent. When I was playing this game I became sure that great artstyle is so much better than ultra-realistic presentation - very reminiscent of Dishonored, which is one of my favorite games ever because it had so much thought behind every audiovisual aspect of the game. (Also all of the players remember how great was the photo mode, easily the best I have seen in video game)
    And when it came to audio, the pathetic compositions are exactly what this game needed!
    Overall: The Ghost of Tsushima is great, one of my favorite games of all time, make yourself a favor and play it if you haven't already done it!    … Expand

    And then 2020 happens. My YouTube feed has been filled up with multitude of positive video-reviews about Ghost of Tsushima by the same studio, but I tried to keep myself aside from it. However in 2022 they got me into eventually buying the game with 50% sale and... It's disappointing.
    Ghost of Tsushima is the open-world game in best traditions of Sony exclusives. Moreover, it's a very basic one - it has completely nothing new to offer, which isn't a sin by itself. But what definitely is a sin is creating such a low-effort world to explore. After getting a platinum in 40 hours I can assure, that 80% of side quests follow the same scheme: talk to npc, follow npc, explore the area, follow the tracks, cut the mongols, talk to npc, clear. I'm not even joking - the core gameplay consists of watching the cutscenes and redeeming the camp, point. It may be fun at first, but gets old quite soon.
    The main storyline isn't really worth it as well: it's a very lazy rip-off from Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai and Yojimbo, which is covered with plot armor. It's short (about 12 hours) and uninspired. If it was made into movie, no-one of you would've watched it.
    The fighting system is much alike to the one of Nioh's with a plot twist: it's all about crowd-fights, which are constantly either too easy or too hard depending on if you grind the open-world or not. I used to suck at first due to lack of equipment, but after collecting collectibles it turned into kindergarden.
    The graphics, art direction and performance are s-tier. The game runs perfectly on ps4 pro and looks absolutely gorgeous. The medieval Japan provides a wide landscape for photo mode, if you really care for taking some pictures. However there's almost nothing aside from little villages(in which houses are very obviously copy-pasted), fields and parodies of hills.
    Music sound very harmonic and atmospheric, so nothing to complain about.
    Minor props: absence of interface and wind navigation
    Minor cons: inability to skip cutscenes
    For the conclusion, I'd say that it's one of the most boring games I've played for last couple of years. I bet I wouldn't have made it to the end if I hadn't payed 30 euro for it.    … Expand

    The best samurai game in a long time and a great fun for all, who love action. Love for Japan and its history is a big plus, but its knowledge is not necessary to enjoy every minute of this beautiful game. [Issue#305]

    Ghost of Tsushima is a flawed, but fun, game. While the gameplay itself was solid, and the story was decent, I definitely expected a lot more from Sony’s final PlayStation 4 exclusive. It had enough to keep me hooked, but lacked the polish we’ve all grown to love from a Sony first party game.

    Ultimately, it feels like the game could have benefited from a smaller scope or a more linear structure. Focus on the duels could have created a more engrossing product, especially if it honed in on the narrative for a more concise and cinematic experience. But as it stands, Ghost of Tsushima is another AAA open world title and doesn’t seek to define itself as anything other than that.
