    The first fifa i've ever bought.And this is the worst fifa ever by far.I'm a first division player and even i cant control MY gameplay because this game's script intervening everything you do.Players NEVER pass the ball to where you want.Servers are horrible,i've played lots of online games but ea's servers are clearly the worst even tho they make tons of money every year.

    It almost breaks me to criticize one of the most beloved franchises that I grew up with but EA have stooped to such a low that it's simply unbearable now.
    I've been a fifa fanboy since past 15 odd years and whatever we cherished in the game back then is not there anymore.

    I wouldn't recommend anyone to play this garbage.
    There's been almost no change to the gameplay since past few years and their focus on fut mode has engulfed rest of the modes.
    Volta is a rare light in the dark but it's just not enough.
    Their only priority is fut mode since it makes them money and rest of the modes simply don't.
    Even the gameplay in fut mode is scripted and a 4 year old could distinguish that.
    Squad battles on a higher difficulty are an absurd joke. Even the bronze players tend to play like prime Zidane and Ronaldinho. You would need a team of legends or very high rated players (90 Plus) to stand a chance of winning.
    Rivals is just another chalice of poison where some scrawny kid with bank balance will most likely throw it in your face and make a mockery of your skillset.
    As much as it hurts me I swear I'm never buying a fifa game again and I sincerely hope the trajectory on which PES is leads it to newer heights, hopefully leading to the necessary demise of fifa franchise.

    Seasons and most games are rigged and scripted against you. The speed of the attacker of the opponent is almost always faster than your defenders. FIFA has unfortunately gotten worse with time. Perhaps it's a tactic they are using to make people keep playing it or to release future versions in the hope that people will purchase it thinking that the rigging functionality is removed.     I used to love EA sports back in the 90s. I can't understand how anyone supports this company with their dog**** store and upsell tactic.

    Absolutely useless online play with very poor mechanics. FIFA needs to go back to basics in a big way, they need to allow fair games and smooth gameplay for people and not be focussed purely on making money through Ultimate Team. But this won't happen.

    It's amazing that everytime a new patch is released the game just becomes worst, even more broken.
    Not just career mode, but ultimate team gameplay is literally broken, one game your players feel like you're playing with 11 Messis and the next one they can't even make a good pass, completely awful.

    Game has only received minor changes and updates compared to previous versions. Comes with crucial bugs and EA Server availabilty is not stable. The Ultimate Team Mode remains absolute Pay-to-win. EA shows again that it's not about the game, it's about the money.

    Maybe 2 or 3 (low impact) updates to career mode. Nothing really changed. Why do good teams suck? Why can't I create my own league? Why can't I create my own kit? Why can't I create my own stadium? Why can't EA make any meaningful update to career mode?

Instead, I returned the game. I never got into Ultimate Team ($$$) in the previous titles and the new game doesn't have the cherished story mode.     Game is better than 18 and 19, but cant give it a score above 0 because lag and scripting (momentum) makes the game infuriating. And its a zero because EA can fix those things in a single day.     I only play career mode the last couple of years and they didn't do anything cool with it. What they did? They made it buggy and unsatisfying to play to. Hate Volta and FUT. Never ever gonna touch these modern wanna be play modes

Im tired of Ultimate money mode ruin the other things in FIFA because this is just a cash grap game now! I normally love career mode, but now there are so many bugs in the game and the mode that its almost not playable. This is horrible and so bad. Im tired of unrealistic gameplay, bugs.

    Great foundation for gameplay imo, but career mode is a massive disappointment right now. Until the bugs are patched, there's no point in playing it, which is majorly annoying given that I'm seeing the possibility for fun in CM this year.

    The game really is very bad I do not recommend it and it hurts every time I remember that I spent thirty dollars on something like that, unfortunately the defense does not work at all they tried to compensate for something with the attack but it is not currently competition in playability competition Pes 2020 Ea sports should be disappointed to have created such a deplorable game ....

Theres so many bugs its unbelieveable that they have been so blatantly ignored for litterally 5-6 fifas straight, for instance, the infamous cant stop the calendar bug which ruins youth academy reports and makes you have to save all the time now during every month since you can also get injuries randomly half way into a month, the squad updates on the first day of every month, and with that there are alot of injuries, i litterally have to save 2 or 3 times before some months, ALSO IMPORTANT, WHY DOES THE FIRST OF NOVEMBER I THINK IT WAS ALWAYS HAVE A WAAAY HIGHER CHANCE OF INJURY THAN ANY OTHER MONTH, WTF. Im not crazy, i know for a fact its scripted into the game, ive played fifa religiously for decades, at least since fifa 12 this has been a thing, for this month you have to save before the month and reload at least 10 times+ every time and using sliders to remove injuries has absolutely no effect on this. so i would recommend setting up younth academies on the secound day, third day and fourth day of every month so you can save after every time, and reloading if you get a bunch of crap, With doing this you will have a full 94 potential team on average after 3 seasons if you make a rule that you cannot accept a player if he is under 82-94 potential to start with, also i have found out that if a player has 84-94 that is a 100% chance that he will have 94 or 95 potential,

    BUG FIXES, few but here are some:
    The fixed the ****ing player breaking bug that makes every shot be really weak like the player has 1 shot power and is chipping the shot simultaniously. this was really annoying and there was litterally no way to fix it, even training to 99shot power made no difference, completely ruined lots of players who would have been better than any player in football history. no thanks for fixing it though since i have seen this bug from at least fifa 14 at the earliest.

    BUG additions, do i really need to even mention one? i mean some of the bugs like the infinite training bug/infinite squad updates if done from the last to the first day of any month was kinda fixed although not really, the didnt fix it, if your playstation lags or have been on for a very long time the bug can still be done and it suggests it wasnt fixed at all, only fixed itself by chance of changing game mechanics.

    AI. oh the AI...
    The AI is completely robotic, what do i mean? it cheats, i checked, its not actually smart, its just cheating by adding way more stamina to players than would kill you in real life even if you were the most fit person ever, but all opposition players to 50 in every stat, in ultimate difficulty you can clearly see that the players are way better than that if you tried passing with that rating, your player would miss almost every pass, on ultimate no matter the stat, the computer is always 99 everything, even pace which is more clear to see that its cheating, because you can clearly see that your 99 pace winger will be catched up to by their 50 pace fullbacks on umtimate, and you can actually see the gradual pace increase when changing from one difficulty to another.

    the most obvious of all cheating evidence: When pressing a button there will be imput lag, FIFA is infamous for this, even in offline, its almost as bad as ultimate team, you shoot and it takes minimum 1 secound, sometimes it takes so long the game forgets you presses the shoot button and doesent shoot resulting in you walking the ball into the goalkeepers hands, also i swear on ultimate difficulty the input lag has been increased to take a longer time, giving the computer more time to read your input and know where your going, with player to player, the opposition is making a informed guess, but on computer, because of the imput lag which i believe is deliberate to make the ai more op, thus removing alot of time and money needed to program an actual good AI, the longer it takes for the imput.

    Sidenote: EA, please i beg you, just at least let us train every skill, composure is by far the most OP stat, try a 99 rated all 99 stat CM with 43 composure and then try him with 99 composure , after 99 composure he will score 5 goals every game, before it will be maybe 2 max if your me on professional. Also why is legendary easier than world class?? Lol, seriously it is, ****ed AI, anyway **** you EA, i hope you go under and some new company can create a game with love. i bet the total budget for Fifa is under 5000 dollars for all game development, i bet more is used on advertisements than actual game mechanics.    … Expand

Hopefully this is the year everyone finally realizes EA is reusing the same mechanics (same game really) over and over. This game is pretty much identical to Fifa 19 which was in my opinion the worst Fifa ever made. They don't need to make a new game, why would they? People areI'm very glad I didn't buy this. Such a **** terrible game. I can't really describe how garbage this mess is. Hopefully this is the year everyone finally realizes EA is reusing the same mechanics (same game really) over and over.     Let's see. Gameplay is a joke. Servers are awful. FUT plays nothing like football and is all about getting people to buy packs. Career Mode is a dumpster fire. Volta... well nobody cares. And to top things off, EA just accidentally released personal information for tons of people.

    EA is just about the worst company on the planet, and it's evident top to bottom in FIFA.

    Career mode is broken for both early access and still for the full release. All EA care about is their dynamic surprise mechanics in FUT. If you want to play Fifa 20 just mess with the sliders on Fifa 19 because it seems that's what EA do then charge everyone full price each year. Con!

Yes, but maybe once in a year, not 6 times a game. As soon as people understand winning the games are not related to your skills but to your cards, they start spending money.

    1 meter passes go to wrong directions,we cant score to empty nets etc... because of this thing.     I played the game on EA Access and I can tell you that the core game play has near zero difference from FIFA 19. I could not notice any difference in gameplay except in free kicks. Literally, everything else on the pitch is same as FIFA 19 including Graphics, sounds, and gameplay.

So the only time it is there is when the paid shill critics have said how good it is. Very suspicious Metacritic. Anyway, this is FIFA 19 reskinned, updated rosters and an extra cash grab mode.

    I always play career mode but this year I decided to play the other modes FUT and the seasons but these are terrible as well. the gameplay is terrible and full of glitches and in every mode the gameplay is different.     Another year, another Fifa I won't be buying. I think a lot of people had already given up on the single player Fifa but there was substantial hype about it this time round over the big changes they've made. I'm going to systematically go through them in an effort to convince you, the consumer, to not buy this game, especially if you already own any Fifa game from the past 5 years+.Another year, another Fifa I won't be buying. I'm going to systematically go through them in an effort to convince you, the consumer, to not buy this game, especially if you already own any Fifa game from the past 5 years+.

    1) Customisable manager - this is just insulting. A feature which should've been in ages ago is finally added and it is hailed as some sort of new and exciting feature. This is the bare minimum EA, that it took this long is nothing short of a joke.

    2) Press conferences/face the media - anybody really want some more tedious cut-scenes? Well congratulations now you have them. I don't know exactly how they perform but here's a prediction: they're an interesting novelty for the first week only then becoming completely asinine and annoying.

    3) Dynamic player potential - this is the one that has received most fan fare from EA, from the game changers who laud every tiny thing as amazing so they can still operate their youtube channels, and from everyone else. I remember PES6 had dynamic potential with players performing above potential when playing well. PES 6 - that's PS2! It is again a case of EA drip feeding minor improvements and hailing them as some sort of revolution. They're not, they are the bare minimum that should have and could have been in the game much sooner than now. By hailing changes like this is something amazing you encourage EA to carry on adding only the tiniest of improvements year after year whilst failing to improve the core game and experience.

    4) Managing morale - on paper this sounds interesting but from what I understand it to be it's just an extra addition to players coming to you and saying stuff like 'I'm not happy with my game time boss' and you padding one of three responses back to them and the mythical morale moves up and down slightly. If this was implemented properly, in a deep and meaningful way, it'd be a good feature. Sadly this is EA, so I guarantee that this whole system will be, at best, shallow and meaningless.

    5) League specific themes - a) does anyone really care? b) why couldn't this have been implemented in previous releases? Another classic case of EA drip-feeding miniscule improvements.

    6) Live screenshots - see number 5.

    7) Ability to disable international management offers - this is such a basic feature, and one which could've been in years and years ago, that I am truly angered by it. It is a LONG overdue option, EA gets not credit for that.

    8) Miscellaneous improvements - things listed by EA like sorting fixture congestion, and youth player values, etc are things you would expect in a rudimentary patch, no an (allegedly) brand new game, you certainly wouldn't expect them to be advertised but I suppose when you have so little new going on in your game you have to try and squeeze all the juice you can out of anything remotely different.

    Things that could've made the experience better that weren't included:

    1) A proper, well-integrated youth system/academy. Every year fans say this is what they want, every year they are ignored.

    2) A properly implemented transfer system - players, especially young players with high potential, can still be bought on the cheap which does not reflect the reality of the transfer market. Add to the fact you can buy any player from any club, provided you have the money, and it's just daft. Zero realism and immersion breaking.

    3) Depth - this is very vague I know but everything in Fifa, from negotiations to transfers to youth players to (I suspect) the press conferences and morale is all just superficial gloss. They actually impact the game very little overall and if they do impact the game, like say youth players, they do so in such a ham-fisted way that it removes the enjoyment anyway.

    4) An actual new game - once more you have rehash of old ideas and concepts rather than anything new and meaningful. Career mode, make no mistake, has been abandoned. How Fifa have managed to stretch a game like this over several years, and still maintain sales, is beyond me. Anybody looking for a new, fresh experience needs to look somewhere else because you ain't getting it from Fifa.

    If you buy the game you tacitly support EA's piss poor contribution to single player mode and their slavish dedication to the FUT money spinning modes - if enough players stopped buying the game (which they won't, sadly) it would force EA to change. Whilst they continue to make money hand-over-fist expect further disappointments long into the future. And if your pining for the next gen Fifa, like you think something will be new or different or spectacular, then please just take a look EA's past record and stop deluding yourself.    … Expand

    Fifa 19 was also riddled with issues and EAs plan seemed to be releasing enough content to keep players off the pitch and the horrible gameplay - and spend their time playing the menus for cards and in-game currency.

    This year EA are providing almost no content and the extra time spent on the pitch has made the myriad of technical and gameplay issues even more apparent than last years iteration.

    Last years promo content had me firing up the game now and again for the whole gamecycle. This year I put the game back in the box less than 3 weeks in - and I doubt its getting back out.

    If you consider getting out after last years buggy mess - this is the year to save your money.    … Expand

    FIFA 20 is a better football simulation in overall compared to FIFA 19, but it’s still lagging behind its main competitor greatly. EA is losing the race to Konami, at least in this generation of consoles, where they used to dominate.

    The new Volta mode is loads of fun, especially with some mates. But the overall FIFA experience is starting to creak, despite an impressive array of bells and whistles.
