    First and most important!!! The 0 points reviews are all lies. PES fans! Fifa 20 is much better than most of Fifa s and tons better than actual release of PES. Demo in pes was good. Definetly not perfect but a very good one comparing with 18, 19. Played 40 games so far and i have nothing to complain about yet! Maybe some tweaks in defense as is very difficult to defend( not bad but veryFirst and most important!!! The 0 points reviews are all lies. PES fans!     El último FIFA que compre fue el FIFA 10... pero siempre queria orvar el modo FUT este pero NO a 70€.... asi que como en marzo u así bajo a 18€... pues voy ha darle una oportunidad y la verdad es que está divertido el modo. Es un sacacuartos si vas a sobres, comoa que jamas recomendaré, pero si juegas ganas o pierdes vas avanzando y vas teniendo un buen equipo. We pre order knowing full well it’s gonna be a bag of crap but we still enjoy the game cos it’s football and it’s the only football game that we love. By the way, PIEMONTE CALCIO (Juventus), come on FIFA that’s a laugh and an embarrassment not to have the rights to call Juventus the real club name. Anywho. Maybe next year EA will pull their fingers out and start taking note that this game we’ve all come to adore needs a major overhaul but not sure it’s coming anytime soon.     probably the most glitchy game of FIFA i have ever played.....lazy upgrade on last year with all the effort on a cheap boring FIFA street. New penalty and free kicks are truly awful....it wasn't great before and needed changing but wtf is this crap they have changed it too....do they not test these things? For a game to be so broken on release is awful...Yes Most of the bugs will get fixedprobably the most glitchy game of FIFA i have ever played.....lazy upgrade on last year with all the effort on a cheap boring FIFA street.     i think EA just wanted to release something .
    it has a lots of good ideas but about all of them are not complete .
    Broken career mode . bad players physics and styles , some pinball plays in crowded areas and the game that CRASHES :). the good think about it is that ea always will make its games better in updates . and other thing is Volta . Volta is really amazing . at all i had more    i think EA just wanted to release something .

    Similar gameplay from past Fifas with two major diferencies: manual defending and removal of overpowered skill moves.
    New Volta mode is refreshing but lacks the fun gameplay from Fifa Street.
    Ultimate Team with improvements and new modes.
    The rest of the modes don't have any significant improvement which is a shame.

    Volta mode is worthy of attention, a relatively dynamic game, character customization. Otherwise, the impression of the game is no more than the FIFA 19 update.

    Once more EA forgot about offline player: career mode and Volta football abandoned after just a few months of releasing. It is basically the same game the FIFA 19 was, with many of the same mistakes, like they're doing since FIFA 17.
    Positive side: it's still entertaining (for now).

    O FIFA é um bom jogo para jogar no modo local, online já não tem muitos problemas, como muito rebotes para o oponente, velocidade e força diferenciado que facilitar as jogadas, existe , muitas vezes muita ajuda de passes, que facilita muito o ataque. O oponente claramente tem vantagem principalmente no primeiro tempo, em geral no segundo tempo se tornam jogares fracos. El concepto de la jugabilidad es bueno, sin embargo, el nivel de juego es muy intermitente, lleno de “hadicaps” sobre todo el nivel “Definitivo” y/o “Ulitmate”. Estuvo bien la aplicación de ruedas de prensa e interacción con jugadores y que eso influya en la moral del equipo y la plantilla, pero se volvió demasiado repetitiva, muchos errores mensajes de negociaciones, por ejemplo: un jugador que ya se va a ir transferido sigue pidiendo que le revisen su salario y como no se puede hacer, tras del hecho la Junta Directiva, se molesta porque supuestamente no hicimos nada como Manager, es un error de EA, no de nosotros como Managers, pues el jugador ya nos pertenece. Errores en sistemas de ligas, por ejemplo: en la liga colombiana según FIFA la final se puede definir por gol de visitante, craso y tajante error de EA Sports, en ninguna fase del torneo colombiano y menos, mucho menos en la final se define por gol de visitante. Podría seguir… solo digo que para una próxima entrega tienen mucho que mejorar, quedaron en deuda, EA Sports.… Expand

    It's 2021, FIFA 22 should be coming out in the next few months and FIFA 20 is still the last of the series I have bought and played. It's the same game every year, FIFA ult can be fun at times but mostly frustrating with people who are fortunate enough to pay to win and get crazy teams, though the feeling of grinding for a decently good team and winning games is great but overall it's beenIt's 2021, FIFA 22 should be coming out in the next few months and FIFA 20 is still the last of the series I have bought and played. It's the same game every year, FIFA ult can be fun at times but mostly frustrating with people who are fortunate enough to pay to win and get crazy teams, though the feeling of grinding for a decently good team and winning games is great but overall it's been the same, no innovation from EA and just capitalizing on the money potential of this game. I eventually gave up on FUT after realizing there was nothing more I could do to improve my team and have been on career mode ever since, probably the safest and most calming mode on the game which really saves FIFA 20 for me, other than that it's a mediocre experience.… Expand

    It might be okay, however when I go online I got my ass kicked two seasons in a row and I'm an experienced player since fifa14 at least. Don't know what happened but it pushed me off the game

    Same gameplay as Fifa 19. Same scripted **** Not good. Button delay, terrible servers in Europe. Shots not registering. Gameplay for kids and high pace for 90 minutes nonsense.

    I really don't understand why EA is still making this garbage. What perplexes me even more is critics and reviewers that give this crap 8 and 9/10. This is another prime example of the failure of game critics and reviews by the so called professional game reviewers. No one should take their opinions and scores seriously, not after this travesty.

    I'll try to give it a fair score, given the great amount things that can be observed. First, VOLTA, as their major improvement is very fun, especially if you play with friends in home. It is not very technical, and god save those who play this for competition, but it fails in one critical issue, it decalibrates your game for nomal mode: tackling is different, movement is different andI'll try to give it a fair score, given the great amount things that can be observed. It is not very technical, and god save those who play this for competition, but it fails in one critical issue, it decalibrates your game for nomal mode: tackling is different, movement is different and every diribbling is different, so if you go play VOLTA for a while, you'll fail in every tackle if go back to FUT later.

    Despite of improvements in many ways about movement, they have done almost nothing about AI passing. Succesful passes are based on timing (who press pass vs tackle first) and not direction (you can give another direction and pass will still be successful), and AI keeps deciding for you which players is the reciever based on computed "pass intention" This was the most important issue about 19, because automatic passes ensures that not so skilled players can win. In adition, pace is back again as the most important stat, and every player is doing the SAME goal: run to the end and then try to pass to the box (thanks to auto pass-reciever dynamic).
    In real football it is important to have timing, but timing without intention is nothing, and intention in Fifa 20 is computed by AI not by you. Ball positioning is 80% given by AI and your marign of failure depends on how much your opponent guess your direction, but as timing is the most important thing, pass correction is 100% almost all the time. All this auto pass positioning makes that players always aims for blind spots, because the slightly mismatch in 'direction battle', and attacking player makes a perfect trough pass, oftenly not even thought by the opponent, even i have done this several times and gives me a pass that i never thought to be so perfect. I have played many several matches that the opponent simply never dribbles and just aim for blind spots.
    Let's put an example with possesion. If your defense line have the ball, and my CB points to LB to pass the ball horizontally but not like a normal pass (0°) but a through pass, CB will pass with advantage but way more ahead in the pitch that i want, like 45° instead of 10° which is what i need, how precise is the pass depends on how good is the player, not your direction. This is crucial, because even if i have available space to position the ball, maybe i don't want to give it so in advance.
    I remeber when passing was a challenge and enjoyied when i got a real nice pass just as i tought. I checked this with Ronaldinho, trying to give surprising through passes, which is impossible because AI chooses for you to which player will recieve based in a computed intention and locking the pass on a player.

    You can check this dynamic in Squad battles, in maximum difficulty. If you don't give enough input information to AI, Ai simply fails.
    All the game is a battle of directions and 'intentions' 80% of the time, but it does give you some manual moments, like when you have no opponent near or in dribbling movements. Succesful players are those who are quickier with the buttons rather than better football thinkers.

    Altough it is obvious that game's core is from 19', Fifa 20 has a lot of new player movements relative to ball control and touch areas, and i don't know if it is a new "equalization" of ball physics or really have new dynamics, but the one thing that is inmediately noticed is that the ball do small bounces which seems a little bit more realistic, and have consequences in your ball control. I have to say that this big nerf to AI defending is good, because you really have to tackle to win the ball, although this always had to be this way, and they didn't in '19 beacuase every play had turned undefendable last year (due to auto passing), anyway defenders are too slow when trying to follow one-two passes and i hope that when they patch this, don't give any "balance" to auto AI defense.

    Finally, i think that EA keeps asking for too much time from players. Besides squad battles, rivals and fut champions, you have to do almost every SBC to get a decent team, otherwise, it is impossible (unless you buy fifa points), plus, every daily and (new) season objectives that you have to get and if not you are left behind. Personally i think that ladder rank it not exciting (in a football game) and they have to get new tournaments, or leagues, or modes that are more related to the real game.
    I think that EA wanting to have a game for all kinds of players, will finally undermine their already bad reputation. Trying to please every player in their probably big Persona book, has hugely increased their community but raised hatred as well. Anyways, they have won enough money to cover 664 times the Camp Nou with a dollar-made sheet (US$4.6B, yes i did the math) so i don't think they worry too much about complaints, and there are plenty of players very happy with this flat skill competition.    … Expand

The game was broken to say the least and many of its flagship modes were simply unplayable (just read the other 0 reviews). But EA somewhat surprised me. In the space of a month, they've managed to patch most of the problems. Yes, they should have fixed those issues BEFORE the game even came out and this is precisely why I'm only rating this as a 5/10. But compared to the incredibly low bar that the publisher has set for this franchise in recent years (where many bugs were only amended in the subsequent year's release), FIFA20 was at least heading in the right direction. For those who claim that this is merely a re-skin of FIFA19, I would politely disagree. The gameplay felt different (better, in my humble opinion), and new features/game-modes were introduced in this year's edition. Does this instantly make FIFA20 a good game - clearly not. But at least they are making progress in areas which I consider to be important. All in all, I don't think this game is worth its initial asking price. But if you see it floating around at significantly discounted prices, and you're an avid PES game fan like me, I would suggest you give it a go. Personally speaking, I still think PES has better gameplay mechanics. But one thing that I could never deny, no matter how hard I try, is the better immersion you get from the FIFA franchise. From the Sky Sports-esque coverage of the Premier League games to the deeper coverage of lower-tier leagues, playing the now-patched career mode will no doubt let you experience what it's like to be a football manager. At the time of writing this review, there is still a whole host of issues that await EA's fixing. But with the responses that they have given since the game's release, I am strangely optimistic that they will continue to fix the bugs uncovered by the FIFA community.… Expand

    Although I understand many people are having a lot of issues with FIFA 20 (especially Career Mode), I must say that I have yet to encounter many and so this review is based off my current experience. (It may change in time, however!) I am playing career mode and I'm enjoying it thus far. The gameplay does seem a bit more balanced and is more of a challenge for myself (I play on World Class difficulty, no slider changes) although, as with past FIFA's, it does feel quite 'mechanical'; often people complain about it being 'scripted' and it is hard to argue against this. Two of the most frustrating aspects I find is 1) defenders magically being pulled away from the ball/attacker even though you are pressing the stick in their direction.... and 2) shots being dragged wide of the goal even though, when you check on instant replay with the trainer on, the 'shooting arrow' is aimed towards the goal. Definitely some scripting going on here I think! Defending is, again, poor - players seem to back away from attackers and are too easily turned, also being outpaced quite often too. Player positioning can also be bad with wingers keep moving infield and CAM's in defence. Other than that, the gameplay isn't too bad; passing is ok, corners are still a bit pointless and the free-kick system is slightly improved, too. The AI can seem a bit dumb too at times. It's a shame that some teams' third kits are missing from the main game - Inter, Spurs, Wolves for example - but hopefully this will be added in time.

    All in all, FIFA 20 is what it is and has been for a number of years now - very nice to look at it but buggy and lacking in substance, especially career mode. It is obvious that EA's attention is on FUT, kind of understandable from their point of view as a business but long term players such as myself, who enjoy the neglected career mode, can't help but feel bottom of the priority list. As a loyal FIFA customer for over 20 years now, it is rather insulting. So FIFA 20 gets a 5 for me but not particularly because of the game but more due to EA's treatment of its loyal customers.    … Expand

    Comparing to Fifa 19 or 18 It's a big regress maybe graphic is much better but gameplay is wooden. Goal from 25 metres and higher is nearly impossible. Volta get same engine like in normal match skills in this gamemode is useless and they were to play a major role on the small pitch. Ultimate Team in this year is so bad

    I know Fifa in PC since 95 where every player were identical twins with different skin color to Fifa 96 with a nice commentary and realistic names to first terrible quality 3D graphics to today's Fifa 20.
    My review is about basic game play and graphics and realism. I don't play Ultimate or Volta or career etc.
    Graphics are amazing. What do you expect? If your team is a famous one and if    I know Fifa in PC since 95 where every player were identical twins with different skin color to Fifa 96 with a nice commentary and realistic names to first terrible quality 3D graphics to today's Fifa 20.

    Graphics are amazing. What do you expect? If your team is a famous one and if your player is a famous player that is. Otherwise Turkish spectators are half African-American or your favorite striker doesn't even looks like the real character's far cousin. But if it's Aguero, but if it is Maradona(Soccer Aid Team) not just faces but even their body movement, their style, they way they hit the ball or dribble is almost identical to real life.
    The progress in this game in terms of AI is disappointing to say the least considering this game's been around for 25 years! It's not mistakes, because even in real life players make incredibly stupid mistakes during the play. But in Fifa -you will see what i mean when you play- there are certain mistakes and glitches that there's no way you can call them realistic or 'reasonable' at all.
    Difficulty choice is a joke, there's almost no difference between Professional and Legendary. From Pre-Professional there is a puzzling huge difference in difficulty which can only be explained by game designer's incompetency. Also more difficult mode means your team becomes more stupid and imbecile.     EA were supposed to fix the bugs in this game and also give us a new exciting career mode. Instead, they give us some useless rubbish like interviews which have zero bearing on what happens. It seems like there is a pure focus on profits, stock-value and shareholders. If they don't improve things quickly sales will hopefully drop. And fellow gamers, please stop spending money on FUT-packs and other micro transaction nonsense.     Passing is awful, the players have gone from feeling like they're stuck in mud in fifa 19 to feeling like they're on ice skates. Your teams AI feels like it has no idea how football works which is a stark contrast to the opposition AI which predicts so many passes its actually unbelievable. So dissapointed.

    This summer we had so many expectations, but many things weren't fixed, like the "kick of glitch" or the last minute goals. The game looks like it was focused only on FUT and not all the other vital gameplay modes. At this point they could have made a game only about that.

    Career mode
    Career mode has gotten a few new features, but the majority of these features get boring after a while. The only new feature that doesn’t get boring is the new manager customisation, but players will most likely not use the feature after they have already created their manager. The new press conference were fun the first few times you did them, but you just get the same questions and answer them all the same way you did the last 100 times. Player Morale and the new Player chat feature is completely broken. For example, I have a player that constantly complains about not getting enough game time (despite him getting more game time than a majority of players I have) but his player morale is still very happy. There are also broken glitches that ruin the experience. Examples of these glitches are; Multiple teams getting 100+ points in one season, Teams putting out their weakest possible teams in every single game, League lasts 60 games instead of the usual 38, the Champions and Europa League will stop working after a few seasons and many more ridiculous glitches. Career mode was so broken, #FixCareerMode was trending on Twitter early on in Fifa 20’s lifespan.

    Ultimate Team
    Let’s face it, Ultimate team is basically just an online casino. Microtransactions are one of the worst things to be brought in to the gaming industry. Now, I will admit that some of the new features in Ultimage Team are pretty neat, like new challenges, new friendlies modes and even a new battle pass. However, the chances of getting anything amazing in packs are very low and EA keep adding broken cards like Ryan Kent, Ben Yedder and Adama Traore. Plus, kit SBCs are sometimes extremely overpriced, and for no real reason. Also, Divison Rivals and Weekend League are tideous Modes that are just full of annoying players and No Loss Glitch merchants.

    Volta
    No one cares about Volta. It is such a pointless mode that barely anyone plays. Hell, you couldn’t even play with your friends in this mode, but you could play a dreadful story mode instead, which was somehow even worse than EA’s other sorry excuse of a story mode; The Journey.

    Pro Clubs
    Pro clubs has a little bit of a cult following. I’ll be honest, I don’t see the appeal. However, there are a lot of players who love the mode, but EA neglect it so much that there isn’t really any point of the game mode being included.

    Others
    There are a bunch of minor modes in Fifa like online seasons and skill moves, however nobody really plays them. The Soundtrack is pretty good, but I think every Fifa game has a good soundtrack. The create a player mode hasn’t changed much and The Women’s football mode still has only 2 uses; play as them in Kick off and play a women’s international tournament.

    Conclusion
    Even though I think this the best FIFA since FIFA 15, it is still a colossal failure. Just play PES 2020.

    I'm sorry but PES is better this year, more leagues, more teams, actually has the Juventus logo, the ultimate team in pes actually rewards you and doesn't require you to spend money, the gameplay is fast and you feel like you actually make a impact. Also this is the opposite for FIFA 20. The only thing good about FIFA 20 is Volta but it's not worth 60 bucks

    Gameplay is still shockingly poor, although entertaining at times (on an arcade level). Ball and player physics are unfortunately far too unrealistic. AI players are extremely arbitrary. Sometimes you can run past defenders like they were cones, escpecially as they tend to run over to mark someone else when you run down the middle, whereas in the next game they're rock solid and tackle through you (yes, literally!) to win the ball, or even clear crosses with fab bicycle kicks.

    Honestly, 20 feels like a downgraded version of 19. All the annoyances and errors from last year are still present in ProClubs, only now you have to start over with your Pro. They have even added a new annoyance, in the form of pain-in-the-butt free kicks and penalties. Truly awful. Endless bugs and flaws that take away any emersion and make this mode unplayable and to be honest an absolute disgrace.     Again all ea sports care about is the extra money with ultimate team.. the only additions to the gameplay seems to be ridiculous tricks. Yet again the people who play offline in career mode have been left with one minor addition (interviews before and after games) had this game 2 days and will probably not play it again.

    The game has definitely taken a step back in my mind. Although the game has a slight more realistic feel when it comes to the pace and style of the game it is ruined by one Werner or Salah run. It does not matter if you set your defense to sit back farther or to pinch in giving away the outside of the field, or vice versa to stay wide giving away the side lines, this game demands the ability to stop every ball into space and you simply cannot. And I know someone is going to read this and blab about how easy it is to solve that and you know?.. good for you guy because I cannot afford to buy the fastest and best CB and I'm definitely not going to throw my money away for EA.

    More importantly they have once again done almost nothing to fix the career mode as many of these other reviews say. None of us care about the press conferences or the ability to change what our manager looks like. While they are nice added touches its like not a single person has ever read any complaints.

    The one thing that I think I will disagree on with many players is the pro clubs. Most people like the changes that were made here but I have to say I think its cheap to just give everyone an 80 to start off. Not that having to start in the high 60s was that desirable back in fifa 12 or 13 but it was for sure better than having to put in no work at all.

    Basically, the game is 1000% geared towards those that are willing to throw away money and do not want to put work into the game like they used to. I hope that pisses people off but I know there are some older players out there that agree with me.    … Expand

I'm a pot clubs player and I've had to stop playing it, the game play is so sluggish, every pass, shot, sprint etc is misdirected.     Utter **** , the most scripted and bugged FIFA . Same ****ty gameplay since FIFA 18 , all players that don't have 75+ pace are unusable . And when you're playing against the AI it's impossible to skill or pass unless you have fast players , they're players are always faster and stronger . Volta is a total ****

If they would fix all the stupid and scripted things then this game would have been the best yet. There is honestly so many things wrong with this game that it would take more than a small little review to express the hate and describe the problems.

    Don’t enjoy gameplay, engine isn’t great for FIFA , very aimed towards pay to win however it probably has never been easier to get better players with sbcs and rewards at times however some of the requirements for squad builders are baffling . Never improve enough stuff on pro clubs or career mode.

    Fifa 20 is probably the worst Fifa of all time and it deserves every bit of hate. The only reason why i won't give this a zero is because of the great ultimate team content. The gameplay is absolutely dreadful. At least you can still have fun with your friends but not because the gameplay is good, no , just because they are ur friends and its fun playing with them.

    FIFA 20 is a better football simulation in overall compared to FIFA 19, but it’s still lagging behind its main competitor greatly. EA is losing the race to Konami, at least in this generation of consoles, where they used to dominate.
