    The career mode is completely unplayable. They game mode has been stripped bare since 2011 and never been updated either. Shame I spent $80 on it.

This is by the far the worst fifa released for a very long time, apart from graphics there is no proper realism to the sport of football at all, how FIFA have licensed something so bad I will never know, I'll be buying pes in the future for sure, people have 2 shots on target goes straight through my keeper yet I have 15 shots flying in the corners a d his 79 rated keeper saves them like nothing, pure ****… Expand

    Volta seemed like a great idea, until we only got half of it, after a few games Volta becomes stale, where are the online drop in Volta games or the Volta pro clubs, seems like half a game mode, even nhl has online drop in games, career mode is also flawed with top 6 teams in relegation and playing reserve players, needs fixing fast

    Releasing an incomplete and broken game after months of hyping it up. Tons of bugs. No immediate fixes. Can't even get the squads updated even though it's been a month since the transfer window closed. What was the point of pre-ordering the game? EA doesn't care. £60 down the drain.

All they care about is milking ultimate team for everything its worth. I even lost connection to the server in volta losing all my progress in thw comp, why do i need to be connected to a server for something that is a singleplayer mode

    EA has the beat marketing team in the industry which is capable of REMARKETING the same Single Player product Year in Year out since 2015, the only insane marketing team in the industry previous to this franchise was ofcourse The ubisoft team which was in charge of marketing the Assassins    I would have pusted this review in ALL CAPS but I cant even post in all CAPS. TEven they could no longer market the game year in and out and the company was kind enough to go on a Break. The result was Odyssey. Maybe EA should take a cue from them since the MICRO TRANSACTIONS from this year can generate enough money for them to take a break and deliver a good football game for their now grownup fans who have spent an eternity with this series.
    Career Mode is horrendous and beyond repair unless new and realistic additions are made, not just new clothes but some intrinsic value has to be added.
    Not worth wasting my money and time on this game and series anymore. SADLY, fir the first time I have started to think about shifting to PES. What a sad day indeed when a game can disappoint so much after a gamer put so much money and hopes in a game and the developer just stright out ignores everything and is just interested in money and Micro Transactions which will help him pay the marketing team again for the next year.    … Expand

    Created an account just to show my disappointment in EA. I didn't expect much but stil got let down by EA. The amount of gamebreaking bugs and glitches in career mode are un-excusable, as is the communication and the (lack of) fixes.
    The gameplay is better than ever, but it is sad they lied about and neglected career mode.

The ignored a rule changed which allows kickoffs to be inside the 20 yard box... some how they are still license by fifa. Also, I may be a bit biased, but as a Chelsea fan, I am disgusted at the ratings they created for theI basically only play seasons, so I rate these games based on gameplay and basic features. Passing is terrible so you can’t play possession based and crossing/headers are near useless so target men are a no go.     Même jeux depuis 2017... Le game play est vraiment nul et les gardiens sont toujours aussi nul depuis 2017...La seule qui intéresse réellement EA c'est le mode FUT qui est juste un buy to win. Franchement je vous conseille d'acheter PES 2020 qui est franchement meilleur.

    The play is so slow, the ball physics are awful, penalties are horrendous, when you take free kicks from deep you can no longer have the camera behind the kicker so it's an absolute mystery as to where the ball will go. Shocking from EA, they had 12 months to sort this and they've done nothing but bring in the awful mode Volta. This is not a true footballing game anymore. All they've focussed on is FUT so they can fill their pockets while they've forgot about the customers who this game was originally built for. Rant over, it's going on Ebay, I'm off to play PES20.    … Expand

    **** EA, no love put in this game, just jerking off UT the same just like every year. Every othe game mode broken, they put out an unfinished, uninspiring **** for the 7th consecutive year. No care for community whatsoever. Clearly not taking feedback from the players, fixing zero things since early access and beta versions. **** EA

    It’s just the same as FIFA 17 but with new kits. Volta mode is Fifa Street from 2012 but with truly shocking AI. I presume ultimate team has been improved but I haven’t played it. I prefer game modes which are not pay to win. Avoid this game. Unless you enjoy ultimate team.

    Career mode needs an update!! We need to play online career mode with and/or again friends. We need 3 players to join local to join online!! And we also need 2 vs 2 online with friends!! EA develop asap or People will switch to PES!!

    For the best part of the last decade career mode has barley changed and is garbage. Now it's not changed and is unplayable. EA only care about micro transactions in FUT. Scum company

    I made an account to review this game, so you can see how disappointed i feel.
    Carrer mode is my favorite mode in the game, and i pre order this game because there were big announcements from EA saying they would finnaly fix it, guess what? nothing is changed of course.
    They said they corrected a bug in the AI leaving starts in the bench when playing crucial games (they annouced this fix    I made an account to review this game, so you can see how disappointed i feel.

    They said they corrected a bug in the AI leaving starts in the bench when playing crucial games (they annouced this fix back in fifa 17 aswell) but it still happens, how is a company allowed to falsely advertise and rob its customers like that.
    Only change they made was adding flash interviews, (who asked for this???) but we still:
    -Cant propose a tranfer fee when loaning players (occurs often in football)
    -Have the same boring layout with very little info, no info in players that are loaned, cant see who are the top scorer on other unkown leagues, etc
    -I played 4 seasons in fifa 19, got forrest green to play in CL and not received one offer to train another club
    -Cant adjust price tickets, mess with the stadium, negotiate sponsor deals
    -nothing new on scouting, nothing new on youth players, your team should have a S19 squad
    I mean, if at least they say that they dont care about carrer mode, but saying that it will get love and then its all minor changes, we need it to get revamped
    Also EA was deleting negative coments about this, raise awareness about this thiesves, they only care about money    … Expand

    Passing is the worst it’s been in years. When switching players the reaction time for changing direction is too poor and the attacker is usually already away from you by the time you’re facing the right direction. Containing is RIDICULOUSLY op meaning any newcomer to the game can literally just hold A and the game just does the rest for them. Goalkeepers started off well by making good saves but just always parried it into the wrong place, ea have since updated it and parrying is much better, however, in classic ea fashion, the keepers themselves are much more awful and can’t catch a cold. Once again EA have made the game very much pay to win and have made everything within the game ridiculously competitive by making the AI difficulty much harder than in previous years- this is not just ultimate team, it also includes the likes of Volta and Career mode. I’ve been playing this game for years and year upon year it gets worse and I really have lost all enjoyment in playing the game.… Expand

And the last update made it even worse. Welcome dribbling abusers... Why can't you let people defend as well as score? I feel like none of my players are actually in the game.     Unbelievably bad game! I've been playing fifa since '98 and I can honestly tell this is the worst release of the title by far. I am only playing seasons online with Real Madrid and I am keep conceding a lot of goals against day 1 beginners. To put that into perspective I'have often got promoted to 1st division with Real, which was not the most highly rated team, in fifa 2019. My problem isUnbelievably bad game! My problem is not loosing a lot of games, I have lost many in 2019 too, but when I lost it was close or I got beat by someone who was way better than me. Currently I in division 8, and playing the game is completely unpalatable.

    When I lose: It happens against any team but mostly against the likes of PSG/Juve/Barca. Attacking is impossible, players won't move. When I lucky enough to lead by 1 or 2 and want to score more goals and being offensife I often fall into the mistake of trying to tackle in the midfield (what a huge mistake huh?) which is obviously unsuccessful 90% of the times, thanks to so called great changes that aimed to make the game realistic :D Needless to mentioned that a failed tackle nearly always results in a goal from out of the box. So easy to concede 2 goals in quick succession.

    When I win: I generally don't feel good, I rather feel guilty. If I want to win the best thing I can do is to score 2 goals then change to a defensive tactic (that means I will not posses the ball for the rest of the match for sure) sit tight and hope for the best. Other way is to start with an ultra defensive lineup and rely on counter attacks. I observed that opponents doesn't even try to tackle even losing by 2, they are just waiting on me to lose the ball defending with 7 out of the 10 players.    … Expand

    FIFA 20 is a better football simulation in overall compared to FIFA 19, but it’s still lagging behind its main competitor greatly. EA is losing the race to Konami, at least in this generation of consoles, where they used to dominate.

    The new Volta mode is loads of fun, especially with some mates. But the overall FIFA experience is starting to creak, despite an impressive array of bells and whistles.
