    Far Cry 5 put you in a sandbox in Montana, but take away all the fun of it with forced story progression. Kids these days can't play game if it takes more than 4 hours. Game looks good and soundtrack is good, some very good and funny characters. There are some fun elements and if doing properly this could have been great.     To be clear, i completed this game just to get over with the franchise. If this is how far cry goes, then the franchise is a trash for me. The game is garbage and before i tell you why, i will first give the very few good points about this game. You can say this is a triple A because of its sandbox system and it does feel good specially if you ride the chopper and vehicle but thars about it. Why i think this game is trash:

    1. Whenever you progress the game, very often i guess 10 times per region? you will be dragged to this very awful, linear, not very immersive ugly, and very very repetitive mandatory shooting story system. Im guessing it is how they progress the story? Its the worst idea. Its not immersive at all and to make it worst, very repetitive.

    2. Everything about how they execute its story, narrative, is god damn cheesy in a very bad way specially when they play the song "only you" while you are out shooting enemies over and over. POOR TASTE

    3. You couldnt care less about the characters, and their dialogues. Everythings feels like just fillers.

    4. Its a re-skin of Assassins Creed i guess UBISOFT as a whole. Dont trust this awefull developer. Overall, its a TRASH.    … Expand

    Far Cry 5 is another wide-open playground with all the necessary ingredients for causing a real ruckus: loads of enemies and allies, temperamental wildlife, and plenty of explosions.

    Open world, driving vehicles, stealth attacks, all a ton of fun.

    The early cut scenes were also good. The later ones were annoying or unbearable.

    I also disliked the timed sequences.

    Overall, I enjoyed the game and got my money's worth (I spent $15).

    I would say thats a good game with good vilians and bad narrative,where is NPCs are all questguvers and gives you quests,and you are faceless character without your own story and without connection to NPCs.And in gameplay aspects game is good,and i love the cutscenes in this game.

    Far Cry games are always fun to me. From the weapons and the vehicles to missions and characters. This is a solid game and it lured me in. The story was pretty disappointing and post game is a bit boring. I did enjoy the graphics a lot. Other than that I can say I didn't have any issues.

    Ну честно говоря после унылой Far Cry 4, ждал возвращения формата трёшки, но Ubisoft Montreal разработали то, что разработали.
    И так, что мы имеем. Разработчики всё таки посидели и подумали над харизматичностью новых антагонистов. И у них это, на мой взгляд, получилось. Иосиф, Иаков, Иоанн и Вера Сиды на мой взгляд очень хорошо    Ну вот и вышел Far Cry 6, а я решил вспомнить Far Cry 5!

    Разработчики всё таки посидели и подумали над харизматичностью новых антагонистов. И у них это, на мой взгляд, получилось. Иосиф, Иаков, Иоанн и Вера Сиды на мой взгляд очень хорошо прописанные, реально мотивированные персонажи. В отличии от того же Пейгана Мина из четверки, чья мотивация была с родни мотивации злодея из какой нибудь Just Cause.
    Структуру прохождения изменили. Разведовательные вышки исчезли, теперь это открытый мир, но поделённый на три части, со своей структурой, своими врагами и своим боссом в финале. Я не скажу, что мне это жутко понравилось, особенно десятки сваливающихся тебе на голову врагов в финале каждой части, но это было хоть какое-то нововведение за долгие годы. Хотя вышки мне в принципе нравились.
    Действие из джунглей перекочевало в смешанные локации, что пошло игре на благо.
    Но вот собственно и всё, что по сути выгодно отличает Far Cry 5 от предшественников. Теперь не об очень весёлом.
    Перестрелки не изменились от слова совсем, это не плохо, но и новшеством это не назовёшь. И вообще с оружием в Far Cryах до New Dawn, на мой взгляд, всё очень грустно. Его какой-то сонм, но в 99% случаев это просто хлам, тратить деньги на который не имеет никакого смысла. Во 2ой, 3ей, 4ой и 5ой частях я подбирал себе весь арсенал в первой трети игры и проходил с ним успешно до конца. Покупать новые стволы просто нет смысла, так как отличия столь мизерны, а цены так высоки, что просто теряется вся рентабельность данного действия. В New Dawn это изменили, игру просто невероятно трудно пройти с оружием 2го уровня сражаясь против врагов 3го.
    Это же касается и напарников их много, но пользоваться вы будете только двумя - тремя. Особенно полезен напарник пилот. Так как в игре появились враги лётчики. Они выслеживают тебя с воздуха, от них практически нельзя спрятаться, сбить самолёт с земли ну практически не возможно, а летать на самолёте самому в Far Cry это также удобно, как засунуть себе большой палец левой ноги в правое ухо. А напарник их отвлекает, а иногда сбивает.
    Кстати протагонист теперь по сути трансгендер, можно играть как за девочку так и за мальчика отличий "0". И то и другое глухонемые.
    Визуальная часть не изменилась совсем, прокачка по большому счёту тоже.
    И так вывод. В Far Cry 5 мне понравилась история семейки Сидов, особенно если проходить вместе с New Dawn. История цельная, не глупая и в дополнении имеет логическое завершение. Неплохая атмосфера игры держит довольно крепко. 98% геймплейных механик перекочевали из Far Cry 4, так что кому всё это нравится, советую.    … Expand

    Amazing game, with tons of bugs, glitches, terrible missions, like the Quality of Mercy, and lot's of other problems. But, the game is just so charming, so pretty too look at, and so much fun too play, that it's very easy too overlook many of it's issues. Worth picking up if you're a fan of the series. Or are into FPS games.

    Uno dei migliori FPS che abbia mai giocato. Far Cry 5 sa regalare un esperienza divertente e folle, solo in minima parte danneggiata da bug e problemi tecnici. Sicuramente un Must-play per gli amanti del genere.

    The story is fine, the characters lack depth, and the new game + gets boring after the fifth playthrough. But its definitely fun for the first and second playthrough. The gameplay definitely saves the experience.

    Gráficos bons, mas a história que tinha tudo pra ser ótima, deixa muito a desejar, o protagonista não fala, sistema de armas e de combate bem fraco. Com certeza eu me arrependi de ter comprado.

    As a big fan of the Far Cry series, i was very excited to play Far Cry 5 and my expectations were quite high as a result. To be honest I was a little bit disappointed, but overall the game was quite fun.
    Positives:
    - The game continues the trend of having some of the best and well written villains. Joseph, John, Jacob and Faith are all really good villains and each one's missions are    As a big fan of the Far Cry series, i was very excited to play Far Cry 5 and my expectations were quite high as a result. To be honest I was a little bit disappointed, but overall the game was quite fun.
    Positives:
    - The game continues the trend of having some of the best and well written villains. Joseph, John, Jacob and Faith are all really good villains and each one's missions are unique.
    - There is a plethora of vehicles to buy/find and use. Cars, trucks, ATVs, boats, helicopters and planes are available to help you traverse and fight the enemies.
    - The number of outposts is just right, there aren't too many or too few. They all have different layouts, so every one of them feels like a new challenge.
    - The graphics are very good, even though the ground can be a little bland at times.
    - The Guns/Fangs For Hire is a very well implemented mechanic, your allies can be really helpful and there is a really diverse (when it comes to abilities) roster of special characters, so it's almost certain that you will find someone suiting your playstyle.

    Negatives:
    - The weapon selection is really bland. All the assault rifles feel basically the same and that's also true for the snipers.
    - The crafting system has really been downgraded. In previous games you had to collect skins from certain animals so you can carry more weapons, money, items and ammo. Now all of this is put into the perk system.
    - The perk system. I don't mind that the developers decided to ditch the "perk tree" system and basically allow you to buy any perk you want, given you have enough perk points. The problem is that you don't get points with XP like the previous games, you get them through challenges, perk magazines and some main missions, so there is no reason to really fight after a point and side missions also don't really have that much value. There are a lot of useless perks too

    Conclusion: Far Cry 5 is a good and fun game that continues the series's run of good games, but it's flaws holds it back from being great.    … Expand

    after finding myself with no internet after moving houses I thought it was time to buy a new offline game, fortunately far cry 5 just released so I bought and played it until my internet started working again. I completed it and found it to be fun but nothing outstanding. due to the global pandemic of 2020, I was stuck at home and decided to get out my ps4 and insert the disc. to my surprise, I was actually surprised at how much I still enjoy it, with the non-linear way missions are presented and the great environments, its like playing it for the first time. when looking back on the recent games that have been released, whether you hate them or not there is one factor that is missing from a lot of them, fun. its fun to explore, fight and hunt and its great how the game lets you just have fun with the world around you. while it may not be as good as the previous far cry games, with enemy outposts feeling a little underwhelming this time around, I recommend this to any open world enthusiast. (also the soundtrack is amazing)… Expand

Will preface that this was my first Far Cry game, though I completed the Platinum trophy challenge and 100% the game, and can say I'm looking forward to playing another Far Cry game very soon. Whether someone who knows the other Far Cry games will think different of this game I couldn't say, but I've read others say this was their favourite, so it'll come down to taste at the end of the day.

    I really enjoyed the humour and fun in this game. Sometimes I can appreciate a game for its immersive world, the visuals, story, but can't always say 'fun'. This game for me was fun. I appreciated that you can play the game in stealth, or all guns blazing. I'm a stealth player, and the sniping was so satisfying. That said, the game has challenges, which equal perk credits, so of course you do all of those, and get to try all the weapon types in the game in the process each of which have their own pros and cons.

    And holy cow, the side missions and prepper missions were nearly all great! A highlight was a particular haunted house spot which took me off guard, it was great. And nobody talks about some of this stuff. The main story was fine, the baddies were suitably insane, and the cut scene visuals were excellent. And other missions have the goofy humour I personally love, be it mowing down farm animals or helping a flame throwing wielding nut shoot the baddies. If I compare the side missions in this to, say, the sameness of Assassin's Creed Odyssey, this game comes out on top. For me was an easy 8.    … Expand

    Where are the exciting animals? Where's the cool history? I'm a big fan of Far Cry games, but this one. Was boring all the way. It was not the money I spent on, but the time I spent on it. A waste of time.

    Really enjoyed the game. Ubisoft´s revolutionary Dunia engine with many upgrades that are easily seen, if you compare far cry 4 with 5. Map is HUGE with tons of side missions which make you explore every pixel of the map.

    Great gameplay and absolutely braindead writting, you’ll cringe 100% of the time anybody is talking. Shameful that the gameplay is so comparatively good, play on mute and skip all cinematics

    При прохождении, складывается ощущение, что приходишь на работу, чтобы набрать эти самые очки. Это очень разочаровало. Only one hour in, and I've already encountered dozens of bugs: enemies bodies disappearing right after killing them, the sound is totally broken, the performance is quite poor, the AI isn't even trying to look and act human.I bought this game for less than a quarter of its original price on PS4, and IMO they don't deserve even that much money. Only one hour in, and I've already encountered dozens of bugs: enemies bodies disappearing right after killing them, the sound is totally broken, the performance is quite poor, the AI isn't even trying to look and act human. The first "friend" in the game I've encountered didn't say anything after I killed all the traitors but instead started running around the spot like mad. Turned out, he was looking for a rifle, that he later found a couple of feet away from the place he was laying at. Later I tried to save a couple of civilians, killed their offenders, the victim stood up for a second but then laid down again because I didn't kill all the goons in the area (they were lost in the forest nearby and couldn't find a way out). After killing the remaining ones I tried to save the guy, but when I approached him I couldn't interact with him: the button was still disabled. There was another civilian (old redneck woman that can join your team), but she was laying down in the grass with her upper half of body stuck in the ground. She clearly was held hostage by those goons but she was saying something like "what the hell are you doing here?" - that doesn't make any sense. After that I just went to PS menu and smashed "delete" on this game. Hell, they even failed to sync the subtitles with the sound.
    Seriously, this is a $60 AAA title, and it's so broken in the places where even cheap indie games aren't. Moreover, it's been two years after the release, they didn't bother fixing anything (or maybe it was even worse on start).
    And I was hooked up in the first minutes of the game: the aesthetics are really good. I truly wanted to like it, but the next minute they let you play it, it turned into a complete disappointment.
    Overall, this is another potentially good game totally ruined by a greedy corporation that thinks it's fine to roll out half-baked sh*t to the market.    … Expand

    The graphics are easily the best in the series, and you can run this game with high settings on a potato. The environment is great too, it feels like you are actually in montana. Best FC games ever. Love it

Es una historia contada de una manera distinta e innovadora, un mundo abierto en el cual vas avanzando según vas consiguiendo puntos realizando otras tareas para poder pasarte las misiones principales. Algo que no me gusto pero es    Far Cry 5, otro juego éxito de Ubisoft.

    Algo que no me gusto pero es posible que a otros jugadores les encante es que según avanzas por el mapa tienes que ir esquivando enemigos/eliminándolos, con lo cual no puedes ir tranquilo por el mundo abierto sin que te empiecen a molestar.

    En resumen: Historia muy buena, libertad de avanzar cuando quieras haciendo lo que quieras y en el orden que quieras, gráficos tremendos, buena jugabilidad.

    9/10 Tienes que jugarlo SI o SI sobre todo si eres fan de "Far Cry"    … Expand

Montana is plain boring and not really colourful, this is not a problem of the game, it is just how it is. Co-Op is done well, Multiplayer is also pretty fun.     In the previous games, NPCs were mostly soldiers in uniform, so repeating the same character models never really became an issue. However, the small roster of characters is very evident in Far Cry 5 to the point of being distracting.

    I applaud the developer for trying to mix things up and try to freshen the game mechanics a little with the inclusion of a fishing mini game, planes and helicopters to fly, and the removal of the ubiquitous tower climbing. But, I actually liked the tower climbing in the other games, and seeing new locations revealed after conquering it. I missed it being in the game.

    Another change is the introduction of buddies that can accompany you, some of whom bring air support. It's a nice idea, and the banter with them is very amusing at times, but it ultimately makes raiding enemy outposts much too easy. You can usually retake an outpost by sniping a few enemies and letting your buddy in the helicopter or plane finish the rest. There's not much of a challenge to it.

    I wanted to like the story more than I did, but I found it very disjointed and jarring at times. I appreciate what they were trying to do, but it didn't really work for me. There were simply too many WTF moments, and not in a good way.

    That said, I had fun with Far Cry 5. It's a quality product, albeit a flawed and forgettable one. The graphics are very pretty, the sound and music are nice, and shooting and blowing things up is still as satisfying as ever.    … Expand

    A lot of annoying dumb missions, time consuming frustrating deaths due to silly situations frequently and easily created. I am really surprised how good reviews were written by the "pros". Gunfight is also annoying, this game was a wasted investment for me. Still buggy after almost two years.

    I hate this game with passion, it is such a waste of potential, the gameplay loop is great, the ideo of not having to climb towers to reveal the map is great, but the story is just complete garbage. I would recommend to just play side quests and explore the world, but the game forces you to continu the story. Such a waste!

    The gameplay style is more or less the same, except the driving model has reverted back to the L2 and R2 control system, which I'm very happy about. The variety of weapons is also great, but honestly you get by during the whole pass with one sniper rifle, a scorpion and an AK (All with silencer of course) + I must not forget the rocket launcher.

    The American countryside environment charmed me, although I wondered why someone doesn't just get in a helicopter and fly to the nearest town for help ? Out of the whole story I have to single out the tragic story of Faith and I was further surprised by the way Jacob Seed brainwashes you (not your character, but you), since I don't want to write spoilers I won't elaborate more.

    The side missions each have their own mini story, it's not just go in and kill so and so, or kidnap so and so and save so many people. It's always underpinned by a mini story.

    I was a bit disappointed that I would have to play Arcade mode to complete the game for the platinum trophy. So I gave up on getting the platinum trophy.

I found it rather fun although some side quests are really annoying like doing the eagles. Worst part is the online. It had potential but it was horrible. Trying to play Coop with friends is just such a pain, Falls short to Far Cry 4, and 3

    A classic Far Cry game. But more refined than others. I think artificial intelligence is very bad. I am of the opinion that it is a game below the mediocre as a story. It made me spend pleasant hours, but I don't think I will play this game again.

    Decent enough game. Gameplay wise it is good, story wise...could have been better. Many of FC 5's theme's are a bit cringe and lame, such as the "angels" (pretty much zombies) and the boss battles left a lot to be desired. Many parts of the game were down right irritating. Even on the + difficult setting the game was a breeze given all the help from allies and over powered weapons and concoctions.

    The Good:
    Core game play is still great with one man gorilla army being the major draw of the series

    Some of the side characters are a lot of fun

    Looks great and may be my favorite setting of the series

    Gets political but not in an annoying way, especially seeing how it makes fun of my camp of politics with it feeling satirical rather then an attack on my way of thinking. This has one exception unfortunately.

    The Bad:
    Just about all main missions are boring and lacking in creativity. The game often abandons the Gorilla warfare/tool box design and puts you in a small room or hallway with set spawns for enemy's turning the game into a painfully average shooter. Focus on what makes the game great and build on that, have open areas where you can approach the objective in many ways rather then a bad COD mission.

    Hard mode is a mixed bag, with just enemy damaged values and visibility of the player character increased so the lazy way of doing a hard mode. Works well in the open world as it makes you play more conservative and cautiously, amplifying the Gorilla warfare angle of the series. But story missions are awful on hard mode with you having no choice but fight head on, at best it s a grind and at worst its almost unplayable, just try the opening mission on hard.

    Hunting is way less of a focus and is just for money and not upgrades, considering the setting this was a huge shock. Also it feels very grindy to get money from hunting, this feeling is amplified by micotrasactions in the single player.

    The randomness of the world back fires often with you dying from events completely out of your control, a lot of this is attributed to enemy vehicles that are a lot more common in this game then the rest of the series.

    AI needed a little more time in the oven, friendly NPC often are more detrimental to your efforts then any assistance they can offer. Roaming friendly NPC's will straight up get you killed.

    The Antagonists are trying really hard to be menacing but just come off as incompetent idiots. Also having the bad guys just talk to you while the player character just stands there and stares is just frustrating, guess they where hoping we would be entranced by the performances not to notice.......

    Story takes the ever so popular nihilistic view of the world which ends up just being cute.

    Ending is trying hard to say something but like the rest of the story misses the mark, mostly from its nihilistic views. Worst part is it makes you never want to play it again.

    Trump references can take you out of the game and boil down to 'Orange Man Bad'. Satire is fine but its hinted that Trumps election is a major motivation for the main antagonist...'roles eyes'.

    Conclusion:
    This is Far Cry, its a goofy game where you take on a whole army with Gorilla style warfare. Learn to read an audience and focus on what makes these games fun or completely re-hall it and give us a brand new experience. Middle of the road design just gives you mediocrity and that is what we have here, a painfully mediocre game with moments of greatness and an almost embarrassing story.

    5/10, I ended up just being disappointed    … Expand

Это не какая-то личность,с внутренними переживаниями, проблемами, нет это просто манекен которым вы управляете и выполняете миссии, сама идея немого гг, это просто верх идиотизма. Ему что-то говорят, он как долб*еб молчит, его пытают, он молчит, происходит какой-то нереальный экшн, куча взрывов и беспредела? Он бл*ть молчит. Представьте если бы Джейсон Броди всю игру молчал, да половину впечатлений от третьего фар краю бы напрочь исчезли. Как и тут было бы в два раза больше впечатлений если бы он проявлял хоть какие-то эмоции, и не был пластиковой куклой.

    Само построение сюжета здесь тоже хромает. 99% квестов, ты просто п*здишь с таким же манекеном, и идёшь на миссию. В очень редких случаях это какая-то катсцена, а если это и она то мое почтение, еще раз повторюсь, они великолепные. На этом всё. Из игры мог получится настоящий шедевр который дал бы за щёку всем фар краям вместе взятым, (да-да включая третий) Но получилось просто достойная игра.    … Expand

    Although I do not believe in the existence of the Almighty, I have always been interested in everything related to various religions, etc. This factor, as well as several others, both interested me and prompted me to go through the fifth part of this franchise. I completed the game 100%, collected all the collectibles, went through all the missions and I can confidently say that ... well, meh. The conclusion is ambiguous. A beautiful picture, optimization, convenient gameplay, a variety of everything - this is certainly great and cool ... the first couple of hours. Behind these pluses are their own minuses:
    1) Nice, but in some places there are flaws.
    2) Easy to play, too much. Too arcade and clumsy.
    3) There are various additional. quests, but after a couple of hours of playing, you start to go through them without enthusiasm.
    4) Nameless hero. You play as a faceless character with no name or history. You are just a body following orders. You do not feel like a significant character, but a simple NPC who, like everyone else, disappears around the corner. The problem is that you will not disappear, but you will be forced to wander through endless, beautiful meadows, high dangerous mountains in search of the same type of cutscene where Joseph again complains to you that you thwarted his plans.
    By the way about Joseph. I've always liked antagonists in the FarCry series. Vaas, Pagan were interesting opponents. Joseph was no exception. The main character is fighting a tightly repulsed fanatic who has a goal as strange and unimaginable as himself. It is interesting to watch his efforts, failures, emotions (Though sometimes it seems too much ... yes, **** I'm talking about the snot scene. It's certainly cool that you decided to show Joseph's emotions to the maximum, but it's disgusting).
    Missions in the game are default for the series ... and for many games, in principle: bring this, kill that, blow up something. Nothing to say about them, except one: THANKS ... UBISOFT ... for the coolest stunt missions of Clutch Nixon. These are really funny, interesting missions and with an awesome soundtrack (I even added myself to Spotify). There are of course a few other cool missions. I will not say that all missions are bad ... but most of them.
    The verdict is as follows: 7 points. Even though more than half of the game sucks, I enjoyed it and I don’t regret wasting my time on it ... almost don’t regret it.    … Expand

    achei a gameplay um pouco ruim mas o mundo em si é bem interessante a sinopse de fanatismo religioso me chamou muito a atenção mas na hora de jogar não me prendeu.

    Nothing special Story was on Start great but at the end of the story not so good. That could be better, gameplay was OK also. I am not a fan from ego perspective in open-worlds but that was not so but. I hope far cry 6 make that better.

It's like if you wanted to watch the Last of us series... but YOU HAVE to play one hour of the game before...and then, it's feels like a much much lesser good version of Tom Clancy's Wildland. I liked some of the exploration... but some times, you'reok... so you start with a nearly one hour film (no skipable)... why ?? it's should be a game, we should be able to play it if we want.... It's not an entertaining game. There are so much bugs (enemies you killed come back when you look the other way around, or animals you just killed disappear because you looked, for an instant, in another direction...… Expand

    Одна из самых моих любимых игр. Антагонисты, космос, иосиф просто класс. Геймплей приятен, прошел раз 7. Купил почти на каждую систему ps4, xbox series x, pc. Игра офигенна, мне зашла

    very very bad compared to GR Wild Lands. so glitchy and can't be saved by developers no matter what they do or add. Not recommended at all and if you think you can live the same experience of Wild Lands then you're wrong.

    I wasn't enjoying it very much, at first. Then I realised I was playing a masterpiece. Very good graphic for a standard PS4. Seed family is very charismatic and I love this kind of villain. I don't give a 9/10 because, as I said, until the plot starts its hot part is almost boring

    There is little difference between the voice lines of npcs which are part of the cult, and real life Christianity, lines which only refer to harmless things like loving God. This game is basically a church shooter sim, and others say it’s repetitive at its core.

    Very good game good story loads of content £49,99 is a bit exspensive but i would buy it for £25 very good game!

    Fairly interesting story but I don't like how you progress because you have to do random missions around each part and then they just randomly catch you. The ending wasn't very satisfying either.
    Gameplay is fun, it could get boring after some time but as far as you don't overplay it's okay.

    I played the game in Co-op and I highly recommend it as it is a lot more fun with a friend.

    This fresh take on the Far Cry franchise is clearly visible content-wise, but a tad more discrete on the style. If you're not bothered by the slightly repetitive formula, you'll enjoy the many strengths of this episode.

    Far Cry 5 established itself as one of the best in the series, The game features some gorgeous scenery, an engaging story and the overall story is great fun and the theme is very realistic. The game mixes up the missions so it doesn't get repetitive halfway through the game. Far Cry 5 is a great entry to the series for newbies and veterans alike.
