    loved far cry 3 and 4, not sure why bit this game lost my interest very quickly, the story seemed good but it became very overwhelming very quickly and I couldnt be bothered to go beyond about 8 hours gameplay. glad I bought it for £10

    Decent enough game. Gameplay wise it is good, story wise...could have been better. Many of FC 5's theme's are a bit cringe and lame, such as the "angels" (pretty much zombies) and the boss battles left a lot to be desired. Many parts of the game were down right irritating. Even on the + difficult setting the game was a breeze given all the help from allies and over powered weapons and concoctions.

    Если бы игра была чуть подлинее, только не становилась дрочильней было бы куда лучше.

    The action level is quite high so for gamers of open world games can be overwhelmed quickly as you can only take breath once a region is cleared. The story is 7/10, could be better written but the ending is not as bad as other users complained. It makes sense once you listen to radio and read newspapers in the game.

    The map is very detailed and easy to navigate.     The map is very detailed and easy to navigate. However one downside for me was the sheer difficulty getting 100% trophy. You should play arcade for a significant time and even Co-op to get 100% .

    The most stupid story ever!!! Wanted to skip every time I had to listen to that stupid dialogues. The rest is quite good but in comparison to Division, it's bad.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Just completed the game and I'm bitterly disappointed. The story could have been compelling, but none of the characters are properly fleshed out, the pacing is way off and the scenes depicted in the open world completely ruin any attempt at mystique around the Cult and the key characters.

    The most ready example is Faith - a young, attractive and seemingly vulnerable woman who is just the latest in a long line of troubled women to take on the personality of "Faith", all the others having been used up and murdered by The Father. It would be very, very easy to feel sympathy for her if there was a degree of ambiguity to her character. But just walking down any road in the region she controls, we see random men and women being murdered and their corpses mutilated by the side of the road. Tortured and chemically lobotomised prisoners tending huge drug crops. Mass graves pilied high with civilian bodies and those of her own followers. In short, you would have to be mentally disabled to actually feel sorry for the person responsible for that - no matter how cute she looks in her little fairy dress. It's also worth noting that all of your interactions with her are via hallucinations that may or may not have some level of reality to them. The result of this is that what should be a poignant moment after you kill her in the boss fight, just feels absolutely empty. To the best of my knowledge, your character only meets Faith in person for that fight - it's entirely possible that they've never actually spoken before and that all the sob stories she predictably fed you were entirely in your characters head.

    Add to that the fact that the "Resistance Points" build up way too quickly, so you have remarkably little time to get to know the characters - if you just walk from one mission marker to another rather than fast travel, you're likely to accrue enough resistance points to get you to the next **** session with the area boss. This leaves you with precious little time to get to know the side characters, making for a pretty lonely experience. The lack of character development does nothing to help an already crap ending - as you approach the final bosses compound you find it completely empty (boring) and immediately get taken to a cutscene in which ALL of the secondary characters have been turned into cultists and are threatening to kill the three police officers you start the game with. I think this is supposed to lead to some emotional turmoil, but the secondary characters are so forgettable that I couldn't even remember half of them and you spend all of two minutes actually talking to your police friends. So why the hell would I care? Also, this turn of events absolutely smashes the logical consistency of the game. The Cult had been amassing power for years (somehow not attracting the attention of either the local or federal government) and by the beginning of the game are at the absolute height of their influence. You the player then tear down their empire brick by brick, destroying their resources, killing their members, killing their leaders and eventually leaving them with literally just the crappy little ranch the endgame takes place in. The whole time the cult have been trying to kill you and the other characters. They manage to capture both the player and side characters frequently, but somehow they always manage to escape and come out on top, despite the cult at those points being so powerful. Now though, with all of their property destroyed, their outposts taken, their leaders dead and a gun in the face of the final boss, they have somehow managed not only to capture EVERY SINGLE ONE of the secondary characters, but also convert them to the cult - making them at least loyal enough to be trusted with dozens of fully automatic weapons right in front of the cult leader. If this was at all possible, why didn't the cult do it before? If they have that capability now, once all their stuff is gone and their people dead, they MUST have been able to do it at the beginning when they were at the height of their strength, but apparently they didn't bother. It makes an already weak ending just plain ridiculous.

    My final complaint is a lack of weapons to choose from, and also the existence of "prestige" weapons that can be bought from the beginning of the game and are essentially just the most powerful weapons in the game but with a unique paint job. They make the game far too easy and completely negate the drive to unlock more weapons, not that there's much to unlock anyway. The DLC guns being available in the main game is fun for a little while, but they're so overpowered that they get boring very quickly.

    Positives: Nice music and the gameplay is functionally the same as Far Cry 4, which is a good thing. Shame the rest of the game isn't anywhere near as good.    … Expand

    Die Story wirkt sehr zusammengewürfelt und da man zu Beginn eigentlich jede Mission machen kann hat man überhaupt keinen roten Faden. Man fährt einfach kreuz und quer zu den "verschiedenen" Missionen und irgendwann weiß man gar nicht mehr, um was es bei den Spiel geht.
    Die Missionen sind sehr langweilig da sie immer gleich und überhaupt nicht abwechslungsreich sind.

    A classic Far Cry game. But more refined than others. I think artificial intelligence is very bad. I am of the opinion that it is a game below the mediocre as a story. It made me spend pleasant hours, but I don't think I will play this game again.

    I hate all AC games, I like Far Cry 3 & 4 but this episode is so boring & repetitive. I just started because I couldn't play through... You always do the same things.

    Every Far Cry game since FC3 has been basically the same with some new minor features and a different paint job. They're not bad games, it's just that they haven't really evolved that much from their original succes formula. For me, the 'Murica and cult theme is really enjoyable. The non-linear approach is a nice refreshment for the series and the specialists you can unlock too.     En pocas palabras de doy un 6 es un juego q no te va a imprecionar en ningun aspecto es un juego q no recomiendo para quienes quieran una historia creible y q te enganche todo el tiempo solo te logre enganchar las 2 primeras horas de juego y mas nada.
    Todo esto despues de jugarlo en modo dificil y umas 40 horas de juego. Lo unico q rescato es la Jugabilidad q tienes con tus aliados q puedes dar ordenes y dirijir pero tienes sus errores de IA.

    Thoroughly enjoyable, feels somewhat safe and not a massive deviation from the established FC formula, but the addictive and responsive gameplay, vastly open world, beautiful graphics and lush atmosphere make this a delight to play.

    A new way to play Far Cry. It is very different from what has been shown in the various videos that were released after the game was announced. It is necessary to improve certain aspects so that it is a game of 10, but it is very worthwhile.

    The story may seems to be odd, but I kind of really like it. It seems to be a little post-modernism. The gameplay is not extraordinary but still provides good experience.

I am 42 years old and what I am passionate about games is history. It may have bad graphics but if it has a good story it got me hooked. I am very demanding when it comes to playing a game. But I have to admit that I really liked this story. That of having several missions outside the main one was the most that I liked. Implementing animal bodyguards that was the best part of the game. The dog, the bear and the cougar I really love ...Also did not know that it was compatible with RGB sync. When I see all the lights start to turn the colors of the American flag. I mean the lights are changing depends on how the game unfolds, when you die I like that kind of games and with these effects they ate it. I recommend this game to those who like first person shooting. It has a good story that there are even parts where messages reach the player directly. It is my humble opinion. Excellent game I hope you continue the story. Somehow. We want more.....… Expand

Millions of missed opportunities. A horrible challenge as in its too easy most of the time. AI is stupid. Enemies are used in very poor ways to make the game interesting.     The graphics are easily the best in the series, and you can run this game with high settings on a potato. The environment is great too, it feels like you are actually in montana. Best FC games ever. Love it

    A couple of the people you can hire to travel with you are pretty great. And it's pretty satisfying blowing people up. There's never any real insane moments though. Nothing spectacular. They're all pretty short sequences with 2-3 guys or 2 sets of 2-3 guys running or driving in. There's only a couple enemy types as well which is kind of boring.

    There's so many loading screens, it's ridiculous. You fail any quest and you're back to loading 40 seconds with a ps4 pro. I'm not even sure what it's loading sometimes.

    Multiplayer is pretty fun but that's mainly because it's mp. Sometimes the connecting player seems to have lag issues though. And they can't unlock most of the trophies from campaign unless they are the host.    … Expand

I completed it and found it to be fun but nothing outstanding. due to the global pandemic of 2020, I was stuck at home and decided to get out my ps4 and insert the disc. to my surprise, I was actually surprised at how much I still enjoy it, with the non-linear way missions are presented and the great environments, its like playing it for the first time. when looking back on the recent games that have been released, whether you hate them or not there is one factor that is missing from a lot of them, fun. its fun to explore, fight and hunt and its great how the game lets you just have fun with the world around you. while it may not be as good as the previous far cry games, with enemy outposts feeling a little underwhelming this time around, I recommend this to any open world enthusiast. (also the soundtrack is amazing)… Expand

    Many people blame Ubisoft in creating very similar open worlds. Mostly they are right. But in case of Far Cry 5 generic Ubisoft's open world appeared to be great. Even some NPCs were very alive. Side quests are not as generic as they could be. Not Witcher 3 level but still worth to play.

    Far Cry games are always fun to me. From the weapons and the vehicles to missions and characters. This is a solid game and it lured me in. The story was pretty disappointing and post game is a bit boring. I did enjoy the graphics a lot. Other than that I can say I didn't have any issues.

They happened several times while I was doing other missions and just take you away from the mission, once happening in an airplane???? The capture missions are not hard but kills the immersion and are also not enjoyable. The last straw was a timed dream mission with poor level design and an awful red filter making it hard to see anything. I only play open world games because I love the freedom to go where I want and do missions at my leisure. This game kills that experience.… Expand

    I hate this game with passion, it is such a waste of potential, the gameplay loop is great, the ideo of not having to climb towers to reveal the map is great, but the story is just complete garbage. I would recommend to just play side quests and explore the world, but the game forces you to continu the story. Such a waste!

    A lot of annoying dumb missions, time consuming frustrating deaths due to silly situations frequently and easily created. I am really surprised how good reviews were written by the "pros". Gunfight is also annoying, this game was a wasted investment for me. Still buggy after almost two years.

    I'll give it 7/10. Hate the fact it only gives 30fps on PS4 pro, FPS should run on 60 as does DOOM, Rage and some others. Preferred the environment and story of FC3, 4 and New Dawn. Montana is plain boring and not really colourful, this is not a problem of the game, it is just how it is. Co-Op is done well, Multiplayer is also pretty fun. Fun story and interesting locations and enemies to fight. Besides it was dope. Good level quality, no bugs. We need more games like that, today times games are boring...     I would say thats a good game with good vilians and bad narrative,where is NPCs are all questguvers and gives you quests,and you are faceless character without your own story and without connection to NPCs.And in gameplay aspects game is good,and i love the cutscenes in this game.

    The contemporary setting and local of this Far Cry game in the USA makes absolutely no sense and is a really dumb stupid premise. The US isn't a wild west second or third world crap hole country rife with lawlessness like Far Cry 1-4. The suspension of disbelief takes a whole new level with this one for sure this being in the USA. Will preface that this was my first Far Cry game, though I completed the Platinum trophy challenge and 100% the game, and can say I'm looking forward to playing another Far Cry game very soon. Whether someone who knows the other Far Cry games will think different of this game I couldn't say, but I've read others say this was their favourite, so it'll come down to taste at the end of the day.

    I really enjoyed the humour and fun in this game. Sometimes I can appreciate a game for its immersive world, the visuals, story, but can't always say 'fun'. This game for me was fun. I appreciated that you can play the game in stealth, or all guns blazing. I'm a stealth player, and the sniping was so satisfying. That said, the game has challenges, which equal perk credits, so of course you do all of those, and get to try all the weapon types in the game in the process each of which have their own pros and cons.

    And holy cow, the side missions and prepper missions were nearly all great! A highlight was a particular haunted house spot which took me off guard, it was great. And nobody talks about some of this stuff. The main story was fine, the baddies were suitably insane, and the cut scene visuals were excellent. And other missions have the goofy humour I personally love, be it mowing down farm animals or helping a flame throwing wielding nut shoot the baddies. If I compare the side missions in this to, say, the sameness of Assassin's Creed Odyssey, this game comes out on top. For me was an easy 8.    … Expand

The first "friend" in the game I've encountered didn't say anything after I killed all the traitors but instead started running around the spot like mad. Turned out, he was looking for a rifle, that he later found a couple of feet away from the place he was laying at. Later I tried to save a couple of civilians, killed their offenders, the victim stood up for a second but then laid down again because I didn't kill all the goons in the area (they were lost in the forest nearby and couldn't find a way out). After killing the remaining ones I tried to save the guy, but when I approached him I couldn't interact with him: the button was still disabled. There was another civilian (old redneck woman that can join your team), but she was laying down in the grass with her upper half of body stuck in the ground. She clearly was held hostage by those goons but she was saying something like "what the hell are you doing here?" - that doesn't make any sense. After that I just went to PS menu and smashed "delete" on this game. Hell, they even failed to sync the subtitles with the sound.
    Seriously, this is a $60 AAA title, and it's so broken in the places where even cheap indie games aren't. Moreover, it's been two years after the release, they didn't bother fixing anything (or maybe it was even worse on start).
    And I was hooked up in the first minutes of the game: the aesthetics are really good. I truly wanted to like it, but the next minute they let you play it, it turned into a complete disappointment.

    I ve been playing Far Cry 5 Gold Edition on my PS4 Pro SSD and had a blast with it. I ve been playing through the whole franchise lately and this installment had me personally going the most of them all. Far Cry 4 and Primal was an 8/10 for me. Far Cry 5 itself is a very strong 9/10 to me but I want to count in one more aspect which leads me to point out a 10/10. You can get FC5 Gold withI ve been playing Far Cry 5 Gold Edition on my PS4 Pro SSD and had a blast with it. I ve been playing through the whole franchise lately and this installment had me personally going the most of them all. Far Cry 4 and Primal was an 8/10 for me. Far Cry 5 itself is a very strong 9/10 to me but I want to count in one more aspect which leads me to point out a 10/10. You can get FC5 Gold with all of the DLCs for 20 bucks or less at reaccuring sales which is to me an absolute steal for around 20 to 50 hrs of great gameplay. So considering what you are going for my rating is 9-10 out of 10.

    The world is stunning and the performance is great. I had a singular stutter in a probably bugged cutscene but besides that the game was running absolutely flawless. Loading times and fast travel was nice although I cannot testify the rates on normal HDD.

    The world development was way better in comparison to older titles. The devs did not rely on capturing towers but it just naturally develops by getting around and talking to people which felt great. I m also thankful that grinding for craft was removed from the game. The game still has a huge variety of quests and a lot of side missions felt refreshingly unique. The game can be enjoyed by going story only or story + sides. Everybody else will get a huge variety on extra missions, hunting, fishing, stunt races or flight missions. Some of those are necessary but most of it is exceptional.

    The weapon system and the weapons itself feel great. I would ve liked to get more enhancement variety on the guns but it is still a good variety in rifles, smgs, lmgs, shotguns, bows, launches and much more stuff to fiddle around. Same goes to vehicles that come in insane variety and feel different in certain aspects. Some driving felt a bit clunky but get doable once you get used to some of the physic behaviours.

    After all I loved the plot a lot. It was immersing and had a good variety in missions and regions. One let down were those "get captured out of nowhere"-sequences that drive the story progress forward but felt absolutely out of place. I still think that this is no biggy in comparison to what I personally got out of the game.

    In terms of open world complexity, story and variety the game deserves a 10 in my opinion. The devs did great work put a huge effort into this game which I cannot point out enough. Engine, sound and graphics are also stunning. PS4 Pro performance was very good and it did not even get too loud as it was with titles such as God of War Reboot.     Really enjoyed the game. Ubisoft´s revolutionary Dunia engine with many upgrades that are easily seen, if you compare far cry 4 with 5. Map is HUGE with tons of side missions which make you explore every pixel of the map.

    The early cut scenes were also good. The later ones were annoying or unbearable.

    I also disliked the timed sequences.

    Overall, I enjoyed the game and got my money's worth (I spent $15).

    Amazing game, with tons of bugs, glitches, terrible missions, like the Quality of Mercy, and lot's of other problems. But, the game is just so charming, so pretty too look at, and so much fun too play, that it's very easy too overlook many of it's issues. Worth picking up if you're a fan of the series. Or are into FPS games.

Actually my opinion of it is even lower than before since starting New Game+ to see the hidden ending and realizing that even in New Game+ you cannot skip the horrendous, nauseating story scenes that make me want to grab the game designers by the ears and scream "WTF were you thinking?"

    What saves this game from being utter trash is Arcade Mode and the community created content. One day in Arcade mode and I am having more fun than in the weeks it took me to do the campaign. And when I say more fun, I mean drastically more fun. Even so I can't give this game a good review. Arcade is great, and I can't wait to cut my teeth in the editor, but the campaign is so bad it is downright grotesque. If not for Arcade I would still feel cheated buying the game at a discount. If you get this, be prepared for a horribly designed campaign mode that is only any fun when it leaves you alone and actually lets you play in the sandbox.     +graphics are stellar (I am on Ps4 NOT-PRO and no crash no major frps drop after 45 hours)
    +The setting (good to see small town america get some justice even if it felt a little over diversified for the sake of diversity; excluding this, it is a faithful depiction of a rural American town)
    +Music is excellent (obviously those who have disdain for America and specifically Middle America will find our folk music not their cup of tea (I'm speaking to you EuroGamer. Complaining about the setting is underhanded jab at America and ignorant as hell)
    +The Setting. I for one am happy I am not in ANOTHER foreign jungle where the people and setting are less relatable (see that's not fair for me to say about the previous far cry's, but the game critics certainly refuse to look at it from our side. Only theirs is valid...)
    -->The setting preference is that at the end of the day. Preference. And I thought this game was "bland and formulaic" it definitely tried to break its ubigame criticism by changing the venue. The elitist game journalists aren't happy that it shows everyday America in a positive light (imo)

    +Gun variety and main weapon customization (could be better. Putting a silencer on every weapon without a penalty kinda makes it foolish TO NOT USE silencers)
    -+Gunplay: kinda feels phoned in. Good enough but that's it, it's neither satisfying nor unsatisfying to shoot a weapon)
    -+Lack of a better melee/close quarter combat system. While I love all the melee weapons. The stealth implementation could have had more meat to it. I wanted a counter attack system while getting attacked with a mekee weapon (some kind of skill based trigger like having to press a few buttons correctly in a row?)
    -+ Story, not impressed. Felt contrived and rushed. As if far cry New Dawn was meant to be the true DLC to Far Cry 5...

    CONS
    ---Gameplay can and does get too chaotic for its own good (this is valid; but this is where most gaming journals end their empirical analysis of the game)
    -->NPC's while you are speaking or trying to get a mission/plot moving forward can and do get mauled by animals and/or cultists descend out of nowhere
    ----PLAYERS CHARACTER IS FACELESS AND HAS NO DIALOGUE (this is the real reason why this game deserves a point off. Your character doesn't speak--this may have been a foolish attempt to immerse YOU in the game... The lack of dialogue whatsoever is glaring and at times frustrating that you would remain solent while torture scenes occurred)
    ---Half stepping Political message: the game makes jabs at both Obama and trump. But I think the trunk lampooning was far more accentuated. By trying to appeal WITH HALF MEASURES, Ubisoft has alienated both audiences: the game critics wanted a politically charged game that satirized today's culture war, and gamers just wanted an immersive, rewarding, good single player (yes single player games are important) game with player character having a personality or at least vocal chords.
    -->This this game ended up alienating the PC crowd for not going "far enough" and the regular crowd for Ubisoft's attempt to pander to subversive elements in our country. We just wanted a good game good story.
    So I couldn't find MANY honest veritable reviews about the game without reading user reviews.
    Lazy video game journalists don't realize you must LOOT the body afterwards (criticism that $$ is hard to come by because they are trying to speed through the game to write their report and get back to their real life.
    The cult is NOT white supremacist as all the journals were desperately drooling. The cult is directly relayed to Waco Texas and David Koresh.

    UPDATE as of Jan 2019: game went to an 8...it's a modern fallout experience. It could have been more special sure. And stay away from the DLCs they are awful.
    Ubisoft not even a year into this game's release they are unveiling far cry 5.5 aka the actual DLC to Far Cry 5 aka New Dawn... Basically a DLC for $40 bucks. Ubisoft is milking its cash cow :/

    Honestly this game is okay. I am saddened. It's potential that went untapped because we the consumer didn't know the nefarious plan to double dip.

    I hope ubisoft burn. At first, I defended this game, but now realized Ubisoft buttered us up to spend 100$ on this Far Cry 5 "experience" by Achilles heel the DLC and coming out with a 40$ DLC    … Expand

    I kind of disliked how you had to get enough points in an area before you could move on. Would love to see Ubisoft make changes for a new Far Cry game as it is a loved series. Villains were okay but still a very enjoyable experience.

    My favorite Far Cry so far. I played the hell out of it. I understand why the story made some conservative players in the US cringe, but hey the game is not about trying to please anyone. It’s a creative take on what’s been going on in the US the last few years. Take it or leave it!

    I'd say the biggest thing that makes Far Cry 5 isn't the characters or the action, but the game's setting. It just immerses you into the whole smoky mountain feeling, when you are hunting, fishing or doing stunt missions. (Which I thought was a great addition as well.)

The developers didn't care about this game like they did to the previous far cry's. The gameplay however is GREAT and so is the world. Only if the story was better and if the developers actually tried.
    PS: This is the most repayable far cry yet. So I have to give it extra points.

The truck keeps over-turning, presumable from taking fire from a thousand different directions and being unable to even bring cross-hairs on any of them for a split second. All you can do is fire wildly at your pursuers and hope you hit them. Because your vehicle is going up and down over obstacles and the tail-end of your own vehicle keeps getting in your line of fire as your idiot driver takes you through ravines and ditches. I fired a full burst into the windshield of a pursuer and they kept coming. The gun you're given for the mission is largely ineffective against moving targets and has a agonizingly slow re-load. During a single re-load an enemy truck is able to close the gap on you and pour bullets into you before you can even fire. The gun also bucks up hard during firing, making it extremely difficult to keep the cross-hairs on targets. Because the sequence and all the principals are moving fast and all at once, aiming with the crosshairs is useless. You just shoot in the general direction of enemies and hope you hit them. Because they've made aiming so difficult you're likely to hit only a couple of them before they kill you. And if you take out one truck, two more spawn to take their place. I didn't even get past the first part of the first mission. I'm told it gets even harder. They should warn people before they buy these games that the difficulty level is extreme. Why do they want to discourage people right at the beginning of the game by making the first mission impossible? Don't they realize people will quit?… Expand

    While not in the ranks of Witcher 3 and similar open world juggernauts, it is a very entertaining experience with plenty of do and the things to do are also worthwhile. Exploring and finding a cabin with a note from the previous inhabitants is a surprisingly rewarding experience. The writing id also pretty tight ovrrall.

Had they made the pace of the story consistent between all three regions it would have been so much more enjoyable but when Jacob's region seemed to take half the time that Faith's did it just seemed to slow the game down. Had they made the pace of the story consistent between all three regions it would have been so much more enjoyable but when Jacob's region seemed to take half the time that Faith's did it just seemed to slow the game down. When finishing missions the delay that would come from dialogue and actually getting the mission to fully end was very inconsistent and annoying. Often times it would be a minute or so after I had done the last part of the mission and I was still unable to talk to the NPC or for whatever reason whoever was talking over the radio would break their speech up into five parts for seemingly no reason. The A.I in this game from the enemies was pretty poor too. There would be times when in the mission your ally would tell you to be quiet but when you would try to take the stealthy approach enemies would just randomly spot you even though an indicator wouldn't pop up. There didn't seem to be many other ways other than just going in guns a blazing in each mission. My biggest gripe with the game though was how bad the driving was and how much of a contrast there was between flying and driving. Once I unlocked the helicopters and planes I found myself never driving just due to how poorly the vehicles handled and how frustrating it was at times to get to my destination.… Expand

    It's another Far Cry game. I like them for what they are- a ridiculous open world shooter where you just keep doing shooting things in certain areas of the world to collect things to bring back to other places in the world (or for no reason whatsoever). I enjoyed the npc quips and story more in this one than the others, but if you are playing for story in this game (or any Far Cry game inIt's another Far Cry game.     By far my favorite game in the Far Cry series of games. I loved exploring the world and the story had likable characters, although I did like Pagan Min and Vas more overall. If you want an FPS with a big world to explore, lots of stuff to do with interesting characters and missions i highly recommend it.

    Simply unplayable for me. Way way too many enemies. How Ubisoft thought that this would be fun to play is beyond me. Really wish that there was an option to turn down the spawning of hostile npc's. Unfortunately there is not and therefore not enjoyable.

But I can well imagine that these will bother many of you. But I have to say that the gunplay is a lot of fun. It feels very good. This is where Far Cry 5 scores!

    Conclusion: The game is okay. But I expected a lot more, especially from the story. If you had fun with Far Cry Primal, for example, you will also find your fun here. If you don't enjoy Far Cry in general, don't touch it here. As far as the story is concerned, Far Cry 5 definitely doesn't offer an emotional story. The bad thing is that 80% of all missions including main missons don't have that quality. People just stand still with stone faces and pronounce emotional speeches. It looks dated in 2018.

If you captured one base, you've captured them all. It is a game for those who like spending hours to search for collectibles, get a badge and custom made rediculous rocket launcher skin. It is a game for those who like to come home, capture one base, kill some animals, sell stuff and buy a bigger grenade sack. It is not bad, it is just I think I got tired of that tedious activity.     This is the best Far Cry of the franchise so far, the map is so dope and the weapons are so cool, You can do everything in this game, and playing this game with friends is so funny, i recommend this

The core gameplay does remain relatively fun but as a single player experience I'd have had absolutely no interest in playing through another one of these games and its about time Ubisoft at least attempted innovate the franchise.

    Having said that I have found it still makes for a worthwhile co-op experience and, seeing as the game is relatively cheap these days, its worth picking up to play through the entire campaign with a friend.    … Expand

    Story- 7/10 I personally enjoyed the story and I liked how it slowly unfolded with all of Joseph Seeds Siblings. Sure it isn't the most excited or complex, but it does enough of a job to make you at least want to finish the game.

    Gameplay- 8/10 I think the game plays very smoothly and it is always fun being able to pick which weapons you want. I also like the guns for hire.     Собрал все коллекционные предметы, нашёл все или почти все журналы навыков, прошёл все побочки и сюжетные миссии, а также выбил все сингловые трофеи, но онлайн в игре настолько убогий, что даже калда на фоне этой дичи выглядит и играется лучше… дно пробито, поэтому от идеи выбить платину пришлось отказаться, так как    Довольно комплексная недурная гриндилка без претензий на шедевральность.

Игра неплохая… неплохая на фоне друг игр от Юбисофт, которые созданы для того, чтобы занять нас, пока мы ждём нормальные игры. Юбики со своей задачей справляются и делают крепкие середнячки - довольно комплексные игры, где всё вроде неплохо, но не идеально, потому что количество преобладает над качеством, что говорит нисколько о творческом подходе, сколько о выполнении тех. задания, типа надо сделать 50 побочек и нарисовать 50 км игровой карты и из-за этого часть контента это копипаст с прошлых частей или с самой себя.
    По традиции стрельба реализована отвратительно и это единственная серия игр, не считая GTA, которую я прохожу с автоаимом, и от части в часть ничего не меняется в лучшую сторону - просто клепают по проверенным лекалам.

    Моя оценка 6,5 из 10, не больше, а ведь такие надежды подавала игра своими трейлерами, но вышло просто неплохо, хотя могли бы тему религии обстебать пожёстче, но очканули кого-то оскорбить.
    Рекомендую брать строго по скидкам, а уж сколько для вас нормальная скидка - решать только вам! Дадут в Game Pass или в Live Gold может даже ещё разок пробегу через лет так пять:)    … Expand

The clash of all of these scripted/unscripted events seems only lends to the overall sense of chaos that saturates this wild caricature of 'Murican culture and violent extremism in the face of social and political pressure. This general premise echoes real-world events and concerns, but all of the blind patriotism and fanaticism boils down to window dressing for a flawed-but-fun sandbox romp that seems a bit half-baked.

    The visuals generate impressive vistas, but aggressive LOD and pop-in occasionally mar the view--even on a PS4 Pro. The textures and details are more than decent, however--especially in comparison to the previous games. The music and sound effects are solid, but recycled assets are readily apparent. There are some licensed tracks that lend flavor to certain scenes and stifle the monotony of driving down these dusty roads.

    All things considered, FC5 is best enjoyed in small doses--lest the repetitive noise of its chaos and tropes grind one's enthusiasm into Montana's dirt.    … Expand

    This is legendary series, and changing of setting was necessary for new part. I like Hope County, and i really enjoyed this part. It still crazy and exiting like last two parts of the series. And i think it grown up compared last parts.

    Got the gold edition for 30 the other day. Once you get into playing after a few hours you'll quickly notice how dull,lazy,ugly this game is.... Wasted my money .......

    Firstly, the world - yes it looks amazing, but there's so much expanse, when it needn't be that large. I think this kind of adds to my boredom.

    The enemies, thick as ****, and they appear to be clones - so busting into a base with the M60 chugging away, or hiding on a billboard silently sniping - it just feels like shooting fish in a barrel. The AI give no challenge whatsoever and are simply dull targets to practice on.

    I don't care for the story or characters - I feel no connection to anyone in the game, and care not if they live or die; same goes for the much applauded 'companions' you can take with you - though the sniper woman can be handy.

    Hunting, fishing, whatever - bore bore bore, I just cannot bring myself to do any of it. I appreciate that is personal, but I can't help but feel it is just padding.

    Far Cry (the original on PC) was great in its day - a real tech demo for putting your newly built machine through its paces, the game went a bit awry with the monsters, but was fun to play. Far Cry 2 felt like a gritty return of the king, but everything since has just been a copy and past retread of mush.    … Expand

    This fresh take on the Far Cry franchise is clearly visible content-wise, but a tad more discrete on the style. If you're not bothered by the slightly repetitive formula, you'll enjoy the many strengths of this episode.

    Far Cry 5 established itself as one of the best in the series, The game features some gorgeous scenery, an engaging story and the overall story is great fun and the theme is very realistic. The game mixes up the missions so it doesn't get repetitive halfway through the game. Far Cry 5 is a great entry to the series for newbies and veterans alike.
