    Still garbage! I periodically check metacritic to know if this game improved somehow, so i could buy it. Thing is i bough for $8,00 and it definitely sucks. I'm a Fallout fan since Fallout 2, so I bough de game for respect to my childhood felling for this game. But it sucks, there is no fun in this game, only the Fallout name on it.     The game is throttled to the point you can't play it for the buying price. I found the weapon would degrade faster than collecting materials to fix it. As a veteran player of the fallout series, 76 is by far the most greedy, broken, empty, piece of garbage. It feels like a mobile game with a paywall.     Take the old Fallout games. Make it multiplayer though its singleplayer and not multiplayer anyway. Remove everything else except looting, crafting and shooting.
    There is no content what so ever. No ultrawide support. 60 fps.
    I have never seen a finished product so empty than this.

    I was skeptical towards this game when Bethesda first announced it in E3. I was "are you sure you want to do this Bethesda?" and "are you sure you know how to do it?" and I was right. Controls are bad, animations are worse than FO4, huge delay when hitting enemies, no chat, NO NPCS (WTF!)... but also you keep the feeling of the huge potential this could have. Right now the game is dull,I was skeptical towards this game when Bethesda first announced it in E3.     After save player one campaign, the announcement of new Wolfenstein, Rage and this raised my eyebrows. But I have never though, that this can come from Bethesda. I consider myself to ve HC fan of TES And Fallout since beginning of those IPs, but this does not mean, that I will be everything. Bethesda is dangerously playing with their name and player base.     Hab's versucht ne weile zu spielen aber schon ewig nicht angehabt und das wird auch so bleiben.

    So let me start this review by stating the obvious. This game is bad. But is it the worst game ever? not at all. I played for about 20~ hours and can admit I got some enjoyment out of it. However, It is horribly shallow, leveling up brings, for the most part, only higher level versions of low level weapons and enemies. I wanted more depth and I got none. The quests are boring without ANYSo let me start this review by stating the obvious. This game is bad. But is it the worst game ever? not at all. The quests are boring without ANY human interaction. Fallout games were fun because of the sense I got that I was affecting a world. That my choices mattered, and in fallout 76 they don't matter. they're really aren't many choices. This game is not a fallout game. It is a **** destiny clone with a fallout skin and terrible combat. For the most part it's too buggy to function(inb4 "bethesda is supposed to be buggy" Sorry if i'm mad about my 60$ game from a giant studio being unplayable on release), but on occasion when It works smoothly for an hour or so I find that it's mostly just tedious, trite and terribly not fun. Don't buy this game. Don't buy it now, don't buy it used, don't buy it when its on sale for 1$, it isn't even worth the hard drive space it takes up.… Expand

    This game is super boring it has no story. The experince of this game is terrible. No npcs just boring robots. You fight the same 3 enemies. Very hard to level up. The weapons misfire alot.     a very average $10 DLC for FO4.
    No endgame AT ALL and a bug-ridden mess.
    No multiplayer mechanics present in the game.
    No chat, no player bank.
    Just awful...

    i had a decent review but now i wish i can give negative reviews... pay to win is never a good thing and now the new release you have to pay 100 bucks to get access to stuff.... bethesda needs to file bankruptcy and just fallout off the map like other greedy game companies

    To many technical issues. Oftime FPS drops and freezes on PS4, bugs with general quests, sounds, graphics. Current state of the game is very, very bad. It is disaster for franchise and reputation of Bethesda.

It's repetitive, full of game breaking glitches, and often times more frustrating than it's worth.     Everything is broken, I feel no amount of patching will fix this. Nukes are just too much of a grind to get working, when you finally get into a Nuke event the whole game just goes to hell. I have put about 10 hours in the game so far and I have had fun. I have ran into many other players and they have not attacked me, that is a PLUS! There are no human NPC's. Everyone knew exactly what they were getting into with this game, it was no secret. Nothing will ever beat New Vegas, this game isn't even close. If you liked Fallout 4 for the most part, you will like this game. If you are a Fallout fan in general, you should play this game JUST BECAUSE! Solid 7 so far.

    Ok, so there i was just minding my own business and two idiots decide to follow me around forever all the while shooting me. You do take damage after every shot. I was under the impression, if they fire at you and you don't fire back, you only take that first bit of damage, but no, you will continue to lose health. It isn't much health, but still! I don't mind other players running around in the world, but Bethesda really should make an option where if you want to interact or not. If you don't, you should still see the people, but not interact with them.. That's what I think. When I am trying to complete a mission, being attacked by ghouls, that is enough, but no, you have to worry about other people attacking you. Its dumb...DUMB DUMB DUMB. Weren't we all supposed to be from the same vault rebuilding the world? Why would we kill each other? I will leave the score the same. I am still enjoying this game, but I hope Bethesda changes certain parts of the "online" experience.

    Back again with another update. I am really really trying to like this game. I keep telling myself that it is Fallout, I LOVE FALLOUT, but after a while, it doesn't feel like Fallout anymore. A major gripe that I have is using melee weapons. I get swarmed by level 1 ghouls, I am a level 15. I swing the golf club, the ghoul moves. It takes forever to set up again and swing again, the ghoul moves again while I am being attacked by 5, 6, 7 more ghouls. I know, I can use guns, but these are level 1 ghouls! The melee combat sucks. its worse than any other Fallout game. The most annoying part is when you are being swarmed and then the frame rate freezes, then it catches back up and you are no longer facing the way that you were and now the ghouls are behind you. Its annoying. And another thing, since when did the rad moles or mole rats, whatever they are become such a problem. HOLY SH*T! For issues like I have been running into, the score is being lowered from a 7 to a 6.

    Ok, so my mind hasn't changed much regarding this game, but I have something new to gripe about. When you go to an area and there happens to be another real player there and this player is very much above your current level, all the enemies in that area will be around that players level. Top of the World, most enemies are not above level 10, I am currently level 20. I left the area and came back a bit later and there was a level 48 person there, all the enemies were level 45. This kind of takes the fun out of the game. Bethesda should never ever try online ever again. they should stick to what they do best, make memorable single player games! I am still enjoying the game for the most part and for what it is i guess, but this game actually makes me miss Fallout 4, and I didn't like that game that much.

    The bugs truly are relentless. Every time I log in I have some issues. I want to like this game but it is bogged down with all kinds of glitches. I also feel like I got a bad deal, paying $60 day one for a very problematic product. Especially when you can buy the game now for much cheaper and has had multiple updates since. I am severely disappointed with Bethesda Game Studios.

    By far the worst game iv ever played not just in bethesda but on the entire ps4 platform itself.. An obvious money grab. I purchased it for 15€ just to see if its as bad as i ultimatley knew it was going to be. 15 is too expensive for trash like this... I feel bad for anybody who spent 200 on power armour edition

    I played all fallout games and they were all amazing. I never expected this game to be the worst game I ever played. I tried giving it a chance but the glitches never stopped. The game does not have a good storyline and it was just a waste of money. I feel bad for the fans and who purchased the expensive packet. If I would have waited and see all the flaws, I would have never purchased this game.

    I was such a Fan of the franchise and now I'm angry and sad whenever I hear about fallout. Everything that was good about fallout i.e. solo player mode; human NPCs, amazing storylines, every new location feeling like you're discovering it for the first time is gone. Instead you will find a sad, lonely, and soulless multiplayer game. What a    Bethesda had a gem and turned it into manure.

    It’s mindblowing. 5 years after the release. I started playing the game for the first time and it still has a good amount of bugs. Mindblowing

    Textures don’t load. The game crashes randomly several times during a tantrum. Enemies not seeing my presence immediately. And more

    Otherwise, I like this game. Been playing now for 30 hours. Doesn’t get boring. But the bug issues. Damn

    Bethesda promised cosmetic only microtransactions

    It breaks my heart but this is a buggy dumpster fire of a game with no charm
    This is a cash grab trying to squeeze every cent from the consumer with a low effort put in. A thoroughly unenjoyable game

    I played almost all the previous Fallout games; the 3rd stil remains the best for me and the 4 well, I enjoyed it btw. But...this one...honestly, I can't give more than 3 out of ten...potentially it might have been a good game, but...it is probably one of the worst Fallout ever "made"; sorry, maybe the correct word is "arranged"...'cause this game is simply embarrassing.

    Fallout 76 is a disappointment in every possible way. All you do is walk around and pick up items and kill stuff. There is an almost non-existent story told through audio logs. This just goes against everything the Fallout Franchise stands for. If Bethesda really wanted to make an online Fallout game they could have just added optional coop to a Fallout. Also don't get me started with the bugs.

    Got code as gift in shop and played it just to see if this is so bad as people tell. And yes this is very bad game. And they was asking for it 60 bucks ... and even now asking for money for their premium club or whatever. Bethesda was great once, and it getting worse every year, Fallout 4 was not the best also, but this one is just Abuse to fans.

    I am giving it a 1 for the intent. The game is a bug, it is visually the messiest AAA game I have seen in years plus you wont care for any of the story line since there are 0 NPCs and that takes the soul of the game.

    This is a mistake no true Fallout fan will soon forget. Bethesda took us for granted on this one and made so many mistakes since releasing this game, what a disaster it was.
    I will never pre-order a Bethesda again, Starfield, TES6, I don't care anymore, no matter how hype they try to get us.
    Bethesda lost the respect of the gaming community, I hope they learn from their mistakes.

Development could have continued into Q1 or Q2 of 2020, and I still have doubts that any level of polish would've made its way to 76.

    Countless videos and essays and articles have been written, however, Joseph Andersons' pair of videos ((If you care to have THREE ENTIRE HOURS of bug reviews, plus his full format review)) for the issues with Fallout 76 itself, as well as Internet Historians' video covering everything surrounding 76 are excellent ways to recap everything wrong with modern Bethesda.

Why not settle with something realistic such as you either be the leader of the Dark Brotherhood or head of the Companions or Arch-mage. Or why not just Joe Schmoe in a big world of wonder?

    Yeah, I know; it sounds stupid but in an fantasy-world it's unrealistic that you are the chosen one as well as the leader of any organization you happen to stumble across. And it's totally unrealistic that anyone who has played any AAA-title in the last five years actually thinks this booooring mess is actually really good unless you are paid to say otherwise.

    Sadly it has (at least for now) made me grow totally tired of all them. I've uninstalled both Skyrim and Fallout 4 from my ps4 and doubt I'll ever play anything from Bethesda again... :(    … Expand

    Feels empty And was not worth 60$ at the time that I bought if it was 20$ I wold consider giving it a higher score but it’s unfinished feels clunky and boring I feel if they had kept adding cool and fun things to do it wold be a really fun to play and people wold still be playing it

    Сегодня вышло дополнение 1.36 Wastelanders. Говорят сильно меняет игру. Скачаю, попробую. Изменит ли это моё мнение.........посмотрим!
    Была говном, говном осталась. Теперь вместо роботов задания могут выдать живые нпс. Всё!
    Дополняю свой отзыв по игре уже в третий раз за 2 года. После всех вышедших патчей в этот раз продержался в игре часов 40 к ряду.
    Что сказать. Ну систему прокачки немного доработали, чаще выпадают нужные карты, а не всякий хлам. Так же немного докачали VATS, хотя он здесь и убогий, но часто использую его по мелким целям, в которые трудно целиться, вроде работает.
    В остальном же игра невероятно коряво выглядит. Я не знаю как такое можно было сделать после Fallout 4 ( хотя и там не фонтан), но почти все враги, почти всегда передвигаются не двигая ногами, что касается всяких собак и волков то они вообще тупо левитируют над землёй. Выглядит просто ужасно. Попадания по противникам иногда могут не защитываться несколько секунд.
    Рожи у нпс стали выглядеть намного хуже чем в четвёрке. Освещение вообще с ума сходит, либо не видно не хрена, либо после включения фонарика всё засвечивается, да так, что все предметы сливаются. Ведь игра HDR поддерживает! Где он?
    И в конце концов игра просто скучна. Все до единого задания это: пойди найди, пойди убей, пойди принеси. Исключения есть, но их крайне мало.
    Вообще по игре бегают прокачанные до 200 - 300го уровня мудаки и мешают жить всем подряд, то начинают дубасить по тебе без остановки, то c.a.m.p. твой закрывают, то орут в чате как одержимые. Всё это конечно не критично, но сильно бесит. Почему модераторы не борятся с этим говном?

    Wow was this bad. After playing fallout 4 and really enjoying it, this was really disappointing. I put a good amount of time into it at launch, but I couldn’t even bring myself to finish it. The story (if you can call it that) was lifeless and empty. Just a terrible game and a complete waste of money.

    I just recent redownloaded FO76 just for kicks and it was still the same buggy piece of **** I remember... Easily one of the worst game's of this generation.

You join servers and you only spot few players who just stand afk waiting for some trades and automated-junk collectors. Addition of NPC didn't solve the biggest problem of the game: it feels empty, don't get me wrong you have a lot of quests to do, but somehow world doesn't feel alive, bad voice acting and recording does help.

    квесты не работают. Собрал кровь гуля, закинул в центрифугу, а терминал пишет что ее нет)))) кровь взять по новой нельзя. На их сайте написано что перезаход работает, но нет) куча людей с этой проблемой... купил год назад, поиграл понял что это хлам. Вот вышла обнова, а игра вообще не рабочая)))))) Инди проекты так не лажают....квесты не работают.     The Loot is a naughty thing! For the kill of Earl Williams (Event Boss) I got a pipe!? A "legendary" pipe!?!? Enemies can't be killed or    It is a disgrace!     This concept could be cool but should have just been a part of fallout 4 like GTA or Red Dead but, i'm not even sure the online could work on the 20 year old engine that it uses. This one has too many bugs, too many microtransactions, and too many exploiters

    I loved the old fallout games. I have no idea what the hell this crap is. No story, empty quests, not fun. Pay to play. I feel sorry for anyone who wastes their time on this trash. What an abomination of a game.

I wouldnt play this game solo, because it just doesnt feel fun, i only played it with friends. Why did they even make a cap for the players chest this just ruins the fun. A low level will deal as much damage to an enemy as somebody with a higher level since the enemies scale to each player. When you get stronger over time the enemies in the same area get stronger aswell so there is not point for me to upgrade my character. The System before was way better, where enemies would have a certain fixed level in a specific area. I also prefered the perk system in Fallout 4 where you could unlock every single perk. It is a grind to unlock every perk, but this was another reason that kept me playing. Why couldnt they just make a Fallout with coop combatibility instead of an online Fallout. Im just gonna stick to the other Fallout entries for now.… Expand

    The performance is really bad. I don´t mind some bugs/glitches but this is too much. They tried to improve it, but i can´t get into it anymore, it is still boring in my opinion

    Even though I got it for free even though I wasn't expecting anything I am still disappointed. You have to pay extra money to play offline,in a sixty ******* dollar game combat is meh at best and the story is awful no content what so ever.

    It's really really really terrible there's no ward enough to describe my awful experience with this game in 2023 and i played a lot of games from all genre bad and good but this is the worst it's the worst game i played in my life i feel insulated and i am sorry about myself wasted time with this game and anybody want to play this please don't play anything else but not this garbage

    So utterly disappointing and flawed in every possible way… The first few hours, most of it can be ignored, and occasionally the flaws can be forgotten, but only briefly before they come storming back to the forefront. An awful, boring, empty, pointless experience. There is, however, a glimmer of hope. It's worth mentioning that there has already been a Bethesda title that was equally as unimpressive: The Elder Scrolls Online - but looking at it now, it has transformed into one of the best MMOs out there. There's always the hope the Fallout 76 develops the same way and becomes something special, but for now, that seems impossible. It's a world away from that.

    Fallout 76 isn't your typical fallout experience. You don't have NPCs or dialogue, but instead get real players that should fill this void - that ultimately fails to do so. It does some things right, but as of now I cannot recommend getting this game as long as it stays a broken and boring mess that it is right now.

    Fallout 76 is the series’ Freshman introduction into the world of online, multiplayer games. As a result, we are experiencing all of the awkwardness and clumsiness associated with that season of life. It is imperfect and a bit uncomfortable, but I see opportunity for Fallout 76 to be more than it presently it - to be a truly great, rich Fallout experience.
